first of all, idk about what it's like in your culture, but to me it sounds insane that a feminist would call a known rapist a woman and welcome him into female spaces when he's proven to be a danger to women.
secondly, the victim has explicitly stated that she feels uncomfortable and unhappy about her rapist being described as a woman. which is understandable considering that it was sex-based violence she suffered at his hands. and thus we have a dilemma: do we prioritize the feelings of the rapist male, or do we protect the traumatized victim? and--alright, fair, i completely agree with you that it's bad to make broad, sweeping allegations about entire groups of people. I agree with you on that. I'm not in any way saying that all trans people are rapists. But this fellow clearly IS, and we're still supposed to prioritize his feelings over the victim's? I can't agree with that. Sorry, but I can't.
There's also a very, very marked difference between the discriminations you've described in your latter paragraph versus the "discriminations" the commenters in the post are warning the victim against. The abolition of conversion therapy, systemic racism and police brutality is a good thing for everyone involved, and these are essential fights to be won if we want to achieve class equality.
But identity politics actively sacrifices the rights of one class in the process. Why must the livelihood and rights of women as a class be endangered? I'm not saying transwomen are inherently a danger to women, but I AM saying that allowing anybody to identify as a woman will allow (and have allowed, I might add) predators into female spaces.
Female spaces are important. Female privacy is important. Female rights are important. This is what women have been fighting for, and suffering under, for millennia on end.
Thank you for listening.
I saw this post on reddit today:
And of course there were comments like this below:
Another one:
I'm honestly at a loss for words. And I hate that the poor woman who went through this will have to read these comments.

Sick of radical feminism's racism problem
We're assholes for not thinking white men are less misogynistic because they come from some superior european culture?
Blocking me for calling out colonisation as the reason why so many 'cultures' are still backwards unlike the 'good' cultures which have progressed off of the death, rape, slavery and natural resources of nations they colonised is racist. Especially while that system is still in place.
I can't really be bothered responding to this properly so...

Friendly reminder that if your feminism doesn’t include woc, queer women, trans women, disabled women, women of any religion, or sex workers then your “feminism” is shit <3

So another shitty white girl is talking trash about Imane and claims she wants to 'avenge' the women and girls Imane 'got in the way of', boosting that she knocked Imane out in a prevois match and would gladly do it again.
Here's the funny part that blondie left out, though: Imane beat her in that match. Russia disqualified her on false rumours after she beat their white little champion.
Female, white boxers are showing the world what sore losers with shrivelled little egos they are.

One thing I don't see being discussed is the gendered discouragement of violence in women.
Women and girls wouldn't go out on the streets at night for fear of being raped/sexually assaulted.
But men who drunkenly beat their wives everyday, will pass out asleep in the same bed with no fear that their wives might kill them while asleep.
Why not?
Because patriarchy so divorces women from our own capacity for violence, even to protect ourselves,
that both the woman and her violent husband know that she wouldn't do it!!!!
It starts young. Boys are taught to play rough and beat and fight and go back to being friends, but if a girl hits someone on the playground, there will be gasps and shocks. She'll be treated like she caused irreversible harm when she didn't, making her question her own judgement and ask herself, "Oh no, did I terribly hurt someone?".
Overtime, this leads to girls and women fearing their own capacity for violence.
Combine that with accusations of "overreacting" everytime we are angry at something where anger is a perfectly normal response,
Or being told to "Calm down" when we should be pissed,
Women are made to feel like they caused violence and hurt when they actually haven't.
I also think that this mass societal gaslighting is the reason why "angry cry" is a thing among women, but not men.
I'm not saying violence is the answer to everything, but discouraging all forms of violence in women while not doing the same in men, is definitely a problem.
It's like chipping off a bird's wings and then calling it "naturally weak" for being unable to fly.
Women aren't defenseless, but a lot of religion, society and a biased legal system brainwash us into believing that we are.

Hi lovelies! I was wondering if any of the other Radfems that are WOC have ever experienced or seen racism within this community. I will be using this as a tool to see how big of an issue this is in online radfem spaces (I will take into account how many people vote, who’s voting etc)

HOW does an author making mean tweets and funding charities for a specific demographic "put your friends and families safety at risk"? Y'all are the ones stalking, harassing, and threatening to rape and murder feminists. Radfems don't want trans people dead but y'all sure love fantasising about killing us.
you mean an author funding charities and backing policies and politicians that wish trans people were dead and doesn't even recognize them as people, might make me angry bc I have trans family members and friends and the world is constantly trying to take their rights away from them? Besides being a basic human being lol. Also sorry to break it to you but radfems are not feminists. Neither are terfs, you either believe gender essentialism is shit or you're a little patriarchy soldier sista
#ask#Anonymous#im a woc radfems will never be on the same side as me lol#and terfs are just a step away from being white supremacst as it was proved#like all women are small weak creatures or we are more than your biology#you guys cannot play victim after being subhuman to poc and trans women lol

sorry but ill NEVER let that shit go
remember how a few years ago Whitefeml were seething against the karen meme and were like "ahem guyzz, we know that you want to vent against racist white women, but directing your anger specifically at white women comes off like a backhanded way to misogyny acceptable uwu" and we were expected to accept it as a valid excuse to tone police our grievance against racist women to not hurt their fee fees and #femalesolidarity
but a few years later, those same Whitefem have been spouting the most racist & xenophobic statements against men of some ethnicities (in light of what happened in Palestine), and when women of color said "we know your anger is directed at those violent men, but the way you essentialize our culture/race comes off like a backhanded way to be racist scot-free hidden under the excuse of fighting misogyny" those white women had the audacity to accuse them of being male identified and "defending rapists" 🤡
TL;DR : divest from White (radical) feminists
#but if that makes woc “rapist defender” seething against karen makes u racist sorry i don't make the rule lol#white feminism#radical feminism#terfsafe#terfism#radfem#papi truths

i saw a marxfem in tiktok talking against separatist spaces because only "white feminists and bourgeois" want them, and that "we have more in common with a proletarian man than with a rich woman"
i commented her post saying that while we are oppressed by class, a man is more likely to kill us than a rich woman.
jesus christ dude, god forbid FEMINISTS want FEMINISTS SPACES

hi mena!!
i just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to write out your thorough responses irt Palestine, and that i'm sorry that the radfem community on here has, yet again, reared it's ugly, racist head and just won't leave you alone.
you carry this side of tumblr on your back and i hold so much respect for you 🖤🖤🖤
thank u so much anon ❤️❤️ i mean im glad to see more ppl speaking up and informing themselves bc at first i felt like radblr was really all just all-out zionists with anyone sympathetic to palestine being harassed and claimed to be supportive of raping women and killing civilians.. now a lot of the prominent blogs still fall into that but there’s also more people speaking up for palestine.
honestly a lot of the women that showed themselves to be racist zionists weren’t that surprising to me but old-school-butch was not one i expected.
#the circle of radfems who never speak up on racism and never showed solidarity to woc#and radfems who are zionists is. one circle

today my little sister told me she was angry because of how other students treated her best friend in high school. i asked her what was going on ; she told me people were racist to her (the girl is black), even their "friends". she said her best friend wears braids or buns almost everyday, after spending time straightening her hair, but that often she doesn't want to and would like to just go to class with her hair loose and natural, without tying it up or straightening it at all ; that often she wants to untie them in the middle of the day for whatever reason. the thing is she never does it and always tie her hair up to go to high school anyway because if she doesn't, people laugh at her and keep touching her hair no matter how many times she tells them to fucking stop and leave her alone. even her friends - especially her friends. my sister told me that everytime she's tried, people mocked her, tried to touch her hair, their friends spent their time making racist comments about it and touching her hair, laughing, ignoring her when she told them to stop and fuck off... and obviously i already knew it was something black women face all the time but still it made me so angry to hear that. this teenager wants to go to high school with her hair down and natural and she can't because people including her supposed friends are being stupid and racist pieces of shit who think it's totally ok to make jokes about a black girl's hair and to touch said hair every damn second

If you ever find yourself trying to convince someone you aren't racist then I have some bad news for you girlie.
You are.
#Like we all are even when we are trying to unlearn it#Pretending that you somehow have been magically immune to a lifetime of being socialized to be racist is not a green flag ladies#I am even personally triggered by discussions mocking 'bland' food due to an eating disorder but I know to take the L on that#Radfem safe#Radfems have a racist problem and that isn't solved by demanding woc recognise us as special non racist unicorns#From a pakeha to a european
