Fred helped her down the hallway back to their room.

Somewhere between the couch and her bed, she found a headache that had decided to accompany the itch in torturing her. She kept her eyes closed, and, in what she was sure must have looked like a dramatic act, lifted her hand to her head and moaned, "I've already had the chicken pox, why do I have to have dragon pox too?"

"Just lucky that way," he sighed, sitting down beside her. "Really it's lucky for you that you didn't get Dragon Pox as a kid could you imagine? They'd have taken you into a private hospital and ran all sorts of tests before one of our lot found you," he shivered, having ended up in an Australian A&E years ago. "All that poking and prodding, you'd have hated it."

She dropped her hand and tilted her head looking at him, "Yes it's fortunate I didn't have it then," she agreed, "but why do I have to have it now?"

"Bright side number two my dear Sunny," he smiled pulling up the blankets up to her chin, "You only get it once. And if you've got it now that means you won't die of it in old age, we'll live forever yet."

[4/3/2018] Desk update! Not much has changed. Added some plants a few days ago, so I’ll let you know if I’m capable enough to keep them alive. My guess is no. These are some of the books I’m reading right now for my history courses. Exams are coming up so I'm stressed as hell. Also, yes that is a bottle of wine. Yes it is half empty. Falling Through Time is coming to a conclusion I think some time before summer and it’s SUPER good it’s on AO3 by WittyHistorian

There’s one on fanfiction.net called Tale as Old as Time (don’t remember the authors name) but it’s so cute and that one is a completed fic!

There’s a fic that went from 11 individual chapters of the same story to a multi chapter fic called The wedding of Fred and Hermione by moonfairy13 that I love.

It’s Infelix Felicis by eleigh isn’t finished but it’s really good and takes place post war! I hope they finish it some day 💜

Fred’s second Christmas on Diagon Alley was far different than the first. Last year there had only been whispers of a coming danger. You could still find families perusing the alley, visiting the shops with bright window displays, packages in tow. Dung dressed like an elf ringing a bell for St Mungo’s and pocketing the gold himself. Flourish and Blotts had created a frosted window with snowflakes made from book pages. The Magical Menagerie had little rats dressed like Father Christmas pulling a sleigh. He, George and Lee had all stopped by Fortescue’s Ice Cream parlour to try the Brain Freeze Yeti challenge, something they had failed horrifically and nursed with a Fire Whiskey when they returned to the shop. This year there had been no magical shift between Halloween and Christmas. Fortescue’s ice cream had been closed since summer when it’s owner had disappeared. The Menagerie was still opened but Dung was gone. Fred had saw last Tuesday when he entered the alley that a large notice had gone up on Flourish and Blotts door announcing that the store would be closing its doors in the new year but would remain open for Owl Service orders. [15 october 2017]  It is weirdly hot for this time of the year, but I’m enjoying it every single second. It will be over before we know it, and I’m not ready for winter yet. I’m spending the weekend at my parents’, trying to get some work done while also making sure to socialize with my family. It’s a good weekend. I’m reading a book on the Holocaust and it’s actually giving me some new perspectives (which is surprising, yes).

1. What is the first thing you do in the morning? Go on my phone and play on one or two of my game apps for a good 20 minutes.

2. What was the last book you read? Nefertiti by Michelle Moran. I am a deadass history nerd and she’s one of my favorite authors. Nefertiti is my second favorite book only after The Heretic Queen by the same author.

3. What consumes your mind? What do you think about most often? My chronic illnesses. I’m trying to get over that more and not let it rule over my life.

4. PC or Console? Console is my preference but I love the convenience of PC.

5. What draws you to a character? A good heart. I’m an empath by nature and can’t stand characters who have no compassion.

6. What is the scariest thing you’ve ever done? Ride the Tower of Terror at California Adventure. Never again. Nope. Nada. No.

7. What is something most people don’t know about you? I’m an extremely sensitive person. A minor critique can lead to tears and a person who acts hatefully towards me (won’t name any names) can spiral me into a wave of anxiety attacks. I’ve always been this way and I don’t know why.

8. What is your favorite movie? Avatar by James Cameron. The script isn’t perfect but the world is stunning and the cast is spectacular. Plus the anthropologist in me is a sucker for all the Na’vi culture.

9. What are your goals for 2018? Get into shape, write more, start up college (finally), and build a stronger relationship with God.

10. Do you create playlists of songs? I have a million of them lol.

11. What is one thing you love about yourself? My ability to retain the most random historical information. Some topics my mother doesn’t appreciate. lmao Also, I love my red hair. LOVE it.
