Was rereading my notes on the actual wittarious smut chapter (rereading for maybe the thirtieth time) and everything in it just makes my heart go ‼️ and makes me want to scream in a good way

It's not so much the actual smut itself, anyone can write that. That's not the what I'm interested in rn.

It's everything else. It's the trust the two of them put in each other - Nefarious trusting Witts with his first time, knowing they'll listen to him, and Witts knowing this and finding comfort in it.

It's them both using each other's actual first names, and Nefs preferred name at that, when almost literally everyone else just calls them by surname or title or stupid nickname.

The mutual reassurance over each others appearances. Trust as a silent love language expressed through affection. A dozen other things I don't have the words to express right now. The softness of it all despite it being, you know, smut.

Been thinking about one of my ranger days AUs (yes I have aus of aus, what of it?) I've seen quite a few other nefs people have where he has a kid with someone, and I've been thinking about my version of that concept.

It's only called the Golden AU right now, due to witts and nef not leaving the rangers with their situations there improving. Under the cut since this got quite long.

Since things got better for Nefarious he never left and fell into villainy, therefore Witts didn't either. The two eventually moved in together, got married, hired lawrence (because I can't not include him)

As time passed Nefarious starts thinking about maybe having a family of his own with Witts, but initially dismisses the idea fast. His species and theirs aren't biologically compatible enough to conceive, never mind carry to term.

It's a persistent idea though, and there are other options. It lodges in his head, and eventually he floats the idea of a family and adoption over to Witts.

Witts is uncertain, apprehensive, and quiet about it for months. They never considered having a family before, they never even imagined one day they would be married. But now they are, so what else could change? Nefarious doesn't press the subject; it's a heavy matter and some people needed the time alone to think about it.

After months of quiet contemplation, Witts finally broaches the subject again, having come around at long last to the idea of adoption.

It takes months. Both their species are a rare sight on Kerwan, but eventually a child is found.

A boy, the same species as Nefarious. Only 2 or 3 years old, and very quiet. He almost reminds Nefarious of himself. He reminds Witts of their younger brother, also adopted into the family at more or less the same age.

Between the two of them, and Uncle Lawrence, the boy is well looked after and loved. It's not always easy when one parent has to occasionally work long hours, and the other parent sometimes comes home from the field injured. But they manage. They all have each other.

Been playing conan again and I can just feel my sword and sorcery wittarious au sneaking back up on me again

Smut for Valentine's Day.

Witts and Nefarious try something new; it's not everyday someone goes down on you for the first time.

An errant wandering thought idled on the idea of what a massage from her would be like, but he didn't push his luck. This, right now, would be enough.

...It would have been good though. With her strength and those captivating muscles she could get in deep to all those sore points and help really him unwind.

The sofa would be no good, they would have to do it on his bed, and they would need music. It wouldn't be right without music. He would lie on his front for her, she could sit on his hips. That would be best. She could be a comfortable weight on top of him, keeping him grounded between her thighs, her knees sinking into the mattress on either side of him. She could start on his shoulders and upper back, moving down his spine to the lower back, and then his flanks.

Hands wandering with purpose, pressing deep. Secure beneath her weight and touch. The slow rock of their body as hands reached and moved with purpose across his skin. The pressure relieved. He could return the favour afterwards, perhaps....

And then... And then....

Nefarious drifted off into sleep again, this time to pleasant thoughts of just how damn amazing a massage sounded right about now....

And then what?

Was looking at that “You’re not even a good villain” gifset again, and have successfully convinced myself in the second gif he’s saying “Witts...”, likely in a “I love you and I’m trying not to laugh, but you are honestly so stupid sometimes” tone of voice, as he rolls his eyes dramatically at whatever they just said to him

Been thinking about what witts and nef want out a relationship

Witts wants someone who'll stay. Witts has been in several relationships, none of them ultimately lasting, and is getting tired. Even though they might put on a front and often works solo on the field, they don't want to be alone. After a lifetime of communal living, being alone is borderline unfathomable to Witts. They want an intimate relationship, they want to know someone and to be known in turn. Someone who's intelligent and has passions of their own, who you can talk to or just simply be with. They want to be in someone's arms again. They want to be a part of someone's life in a meaningful fashion.

Nefarious wants someone who's on his side, on his team. He's spent so long putting up with the other Rangers he just wants someone who will actually respect and listen to him, and treat him like a person with actual feelings. He hasn't been in any kind of a relationship since his uni days, and is most assuredly touch starved by now, even if he doesn't fully recognise it. Once he allows himself to connect, he wants someone who doesn't shy away from physical affection; he wants a hugger, a kisser, a gentle hand. Not a harsh touch who only reminds of high school bullies.

They both want to be wanted; they don't want to be alone. They've both got aching hearts. It takes Witts time to find the confidence to admit what they want to the person they want; it takes Nef just as long to allow himself to want and receive.

Thinking about the height difference between Witts and Nef. She's almost 6ft, and when he actually stands up properly, back straight, he's over 7ft tall, maybe almost 8 (according to his mugshot)

Perfect height for resting his chin on the top of her head. And then with his usual slouch he's at perfect kising height

A thought thats been living rent free in my head a while:

Nefarious trying to teach a reluctant Witts how to dance, post Ranger Days. (as if he doesn't have enough projects going on)

Witts is adamant that they're going to be awful at it because they've never been able to dance at all in their entire life and have long ago given up trying, but that doesn't dissuade Neffy.

Witts will only practise at home when it's just the two of them, lawrence getting sent out on long errand runs so he's out of the way. Even then Witts is still stupidly embarrassed and self conscious about trying to learn. They're a soldier, they were never taught, never meant, to move like this.

It's a good thing Neffy enjoys a challenge. It takes weeks, months even, lessons fitting in around their work, but eventually witts manages to get to a semi decent point where they're no longer stepping on his feet and can even occasionally look at him as they dance without spontaneously combusting, and Nef is delighted because a few months more and he could even take witts out dancing places.
