"The drink is from over there, but—" he leans across the bar slightly, smirk plucking at the corners of his mouth as he continues. "— guy tries this most days he's in here, so just accept the drink and he wont bother you unless you want botherin'. And if you want botherin' these much better options."

Brow cocked, he drops the smirk as he steps back and picks up a cloth so he can wipe down the bar area.

"Look at you looking so hot," Cherry finally got the chance to speak with Emira after a long night of drinks and dancing. It had been a bit of a whirlwind with people coming and going but Cherry loved everyone who'd come to celebrate. "Come on, I need to a smoke outside." A birthday wasn't complete with a drunken cigarette outside a bar. "We can catch up." She took Emira's hand and started leading her outside.

Here's the thing about Colton; he was not used to California beaches. Hamptons, for sure. Maybe Coney Island too. But Aurora Bay beaches were still a novelty to him. Hand in his pants' pocket, he spotted her looking at the menu of the nearest cocktail stand. It had been a while since he approached a woman; call him vain but women tended to go to him. Was it his looks or his last name and money; he'd never know for sure.

As he approached, he heard the bartender try to talk her into frankly another stupid variation of a margarita. What a damn tool... Leaning against the stand though, he grinned noting the look on her face. "No no no..." he sighed feeling his soul ache for the poor gorgeous girl. "She's not into what's easy for you to make." Colton mused. "How about you make her something you haven't made a dozen other girls so far?" he asked the bartender.

"How about..." he started, taking a moment to appreciate her better. "A Woo Woo if you're into fruity things...or a good old French?" he smirked scanning her face for any hint of annoyance meaning he overstayed his welcome. "Maybe even Ranch Water if the lady prefers tequila..." Colton raised an eyebrow at her, challenging her to play with him.

Clare spent most of her morning at the beach, working on sketches of the ocean. She was currently working on a story about sea turtles and had received a request for watercolor prints. In need of some inspiration, she packed a bag of snacks and water and headed to the beach. However, the granola bar, apple slices, and peanut butter crackers disappeared in just two hours, still leaving her feeling hungry. So, she decided to head downtown to grab a bite from one of the establishments. As she rounded the corner, she saw her father's assistant, Emira, and smiled. "Hey Emira, are you on a mission for Axel?" she asked happily.

Full of spicy margaritas and Mexican food, Will waited for an Uber to take him home. His friend already departed for night, but he knew that it was too far to walk tonight. The night was still young, the sun not even close to setting as he made eye contact with a brunette who was walking past. They made intense eye contact as she walked down the street, Will lowering his glasses in a shameless fashion. She looked back at him, a smile on her lips as she continued on her way. Watching her walk away, something fell to the ground behind her.

A perfect excuse to chase after her. "Excuse me," he called out, piece of paper in hand. "I think you dropped this. Might be important."

"Oh, wow. So I'm looking at a fellow bullshitter, huh?" Mars asked, eyebrows raising in challenge. He detected the annoyance, but he was used to that being directed toward him. He also really didn't deal well with pretension, which was very much what he was picking up on here. "The... 'ripe fruit of this Cab Sav'...?" he repeated suspiciously, unsure if he could trust the opinion of anyone who unironically shortened the name of a wine.

To put a finer point on it, he raised his own glass to his lips and took a sip, wincing as it coated his tongue and went down. "Yeah, no, that's horse shit, rubbing alcohol, and feet. Do they stomp their own grapes here? Maybe they should let their guy know that he needs to wash his fucking dogs a little better before he gets in there."

It was a gorgeous day and a gorgeous day such as this one called for wine tasting. Taking herself out on a day date, she happily sipped on the delicious wine as she worked on her laptop while texting Axel about work. It was then she heard a voice from a table near hers and she looked over at the man speaking. When she heard the words, 'horse shit' escape his lips, she only raised a brow. "Fresh tires and horse shit, huh? Real clever," she said, trying her best not to roll her eyes and look too annoyed. "While you taste...horse shit, I'm getting more flavor from the ripe black fruit of this Cab Sav and it's earthy notes," she said before taking a sip. "Hm...more aromas of black cherries and vanilla."

constance, known to those around her as connie grew up between the hills of los angeles, and the family mansion in aurora bay. depending on whether her multi-million dollar parents were fighting, and they needed to get out of town before the media picked up another juicy story on the vanderbilts. they'd built a legal empire from the ground up, and if you could afford their services, vanderbilt-dawson could get anyone out of their charges. the firm were all about discretion, and have represented people that may or may not have gotten away with serious crimes... but of course, that's just hearsay. connie had five siblings, but unfortunately lost one of her youngest brothers to leukemia when he was a teenager. he was the only member of the family that truly loved and supported connie. it almost destroyed her when he passed.

one might wonder, why was a thirty-something woman beckoned back home? well, her father had a little surprise waiting for her back at the housee, a planned business marriage for her with a meyer's son. originally, connie refused, but eventually was blackmailed by her father. she resented him seeing her as a pawn, rather than a person with skills and potential. connie never hated will, but she certainly didn't love him. they had an agreement of playing house when around the family, but then went their separate ways to date other people. It took half a year before Connie's anger at the situation reached the brim, and she initiated the divorce for the sake of both herself and will. this infuriated her father. but this wasn't the only way connie planned to stick it to her dad. she'd been working, conveniently, at one of her fathers competitors companies. only a small player at this point, the firm wasn't on his radar till earlier in the year when they grew in power and shares, and she reached a senior associate roll. if connie couldn't have her rightful place at vanderbilt-dawson, she'd beat them at their own game. connie is known for being honest, very blunt. she doesnt have much patience. incredibly book smart, and driven by spite and vengence, she has a flame of determination that could never be smouldered.
