You forgot about his 30,000+ lies while he was in office. I remember.

You forgot about his complete mismanagement and ignorance over COVID, resulting in the deaths of over one million Americans. I remember.

You forgot about the saber rattling over military exercises in the pacific, when Kim Jong Un threatened us with nuclear missiles, causing us to fear whether we'd see another day. I remember.

You forgot about waking up every morning dreading to hear the latest abomination he tweeted. I remember.

You forgot about "only the best people" like Betsy DeVos, Rick Perry, Tom Price, Scott Pruitt, Steve Mnuchin, and many others who were given cabinet positions despite having zero qualifications for the job. I remember.

i’m taking a class on post-civil war history and every single page of this textbook brings up extreme anguish and grief for all the black people brutally tortured, raped, and murdered so that this country can be built on their graves.

there is a large picture in one chapter of laura nelson and her teenage son hanging from on a oklahoma bridge as around 50 white people stand on the bridge, cheering and drinking and laughing. this was in 1911. mrs nelson and her son were accused of killing a cop who forcibly entered their farm with no warrant under the pretence that the nelsons were suspected of theft of livestock by a white neighbor.

the white mob got into the jail where the nelsons were imprisoned and took them to the bridge. no cop did anything to stop them, in fact i’d bet my entire home they gleefully joined in or even orchestrated their lynching. mrs nelson was brutally raped in front of her son for hours before they were hung.

the picture of them was turned into a popular postcard for the town and was sold in local stores and tourist gift shops. this was a little over 100 years ago. you can look up the photo right now, it’s out there. even in death, even a century later, the nelsons are a spectacle for whoever wants to look. there were over 4000 reported lynchings between 1880 and 1950, not factoring in organized, democrat-funded lynchings by the kkk.

if seeing and finding this out doesn’t make you want to douse the entire country in gasoline and watch it burn, i don’t know what will. to this day, all across the world, we’re watching the same white supremacist forces fund and sponsor racially motivated genocides, in palestine, in congo, in sudan. it never ends.

Ya'll need to understand that Nazi does not mean "generic bad person". I know that here in the USA our history classes tend to overlook the actual ideology of Nazis and summarize it as white supremacy, but that's not the case. The Nazis even split Europe up into races with them at the top of hierarchy. Hence why they could dehumanize the neighboring countries and attack them.

But at the end of the day Nazi's blamed Jews for the corruption of the other races, all of societies ills, and everything bad. Full stop.

A lot of this has been "whitewashed" for one reason or another. Hell, if you go to Brittanica right now you'll see that the one way they describe Nazis is "an evil person who wants to use power to control and harm other people especially because of their race, religion, etc."

My first response was to taunt them. I thought of writing something like this:

"Hey, you fucking loser, you forgot the part of your Nazi script where you try to deny that the Holocaust happened. Lame ass motherfucker, you can't even get your own lies right. Next time you try harassing a Jew online, at least try to tow the Nazi party line, you white supremacist. Also, you fucking COWARD, how dare you come to my inbox on Anonymous. If you’re going to tell me you wish I would die in a Nazi gas chamber, at least have the common courtesy to tell me your username so I know who I am blocking."

But then, I thought: No. That's not how to respond. Because that's not what this is about.

I mean, don’t get me wrong. Making fun of a stupid a Nazi by telling them that they forgot to deny the Holocaust when they decided to harass me for being a Jew — that is gallows humor of the darkest kind. But a morbidly glib zinger of a reply doesn’t actually address the real issue here.

The real issue is that a lot of you with antisemitic tendencies have been going completely mask-off the last few weeks, and you have been diving headfirst into Jew-hatred.

You are finally feeling liberated to speak the Jew-hating words that you have been dying to say.

Most of them were people, just like you, who had been conditioned to hate Jews by nearly two thousand years of Christian antisemitism coupled with a targeted campaign of white supremacist propaganda. This widespread antisemitism allowed the Nazis to transform an irrational and enculturated feeling of distrust towards Jews into a feeling of intense hatred, where gentiles demonized Jewish people and blamed "those Jews" for all the bad things that were happening in the world.

And the 1950s, the land that Willie Jones had contained a house and a well. He was graciously known in his community for providing fresh water for his neighbors. Around that time, the city of Huntsville traced a clean water source to Willie's home, and they wanted it. So in 1958, the city of Huntsville offered Willie $900 for the portion of land that included the whale. That's only about $9,000 today.

So, of course, Willie was like, “Nah, you can't have my land.”

So in typical white supremacist fashion, they condemned the land and considered it uninhabitable and unsafe.

Since he wasn't able to live in the house at that moment and still needed to provide for his family, Willie began sharecropping at various homes in the area. One particular place was described as a house in the woods. And while they lived in these homes, they never received any mail from the city.

At the same time, the city was actively attempting to confiscate the land that Willie still owned. Now, that land is this, and this right here, too.

Thinking about this sentiment now that I see tweet after tweet, source after source, refer to "Nakba survivors."

I mean, no matter how you slice it, hundreds of thousands of Arabs at minimum were violently chased out of their homes, which is condemnable. I have no issues with people seeing the Nakba as a tragedy, a crime against humanity, what have you.

But clearly "Nakba survivor" is an attempt at taking some of the punchiness of "Holocaust survivor," or deliberately trying to compare these two events.

And it's a little corny to me, because well, if you were a Nakba survivor you weren't exactly beating the odds. It varies from source to source, but as few as 800 or so Arab civilians were killed, but let's go with the high estimate of about 15,000. Out of 750,000 Palestinian Arabs (and that's a widely agreed upon estimate though there are estimates that put that number even higher) who for whatever reason fled Palestine, that amounts to 2% of the Palestinian Arab population. Actually closer to 1% because only about half of Arabs actually fled the country to begin with.

Let's compare that to a Holocaust survivor. Much longer odds there! 67% of Jews in Europe were wiped out. And not just from militia violence, they were murdered on an industrial scale with industrial means. The number of Jews who outright avoided the violence (c.f. the Palestinian Arabs who did not flee/were not forced to flee) was orders of magnitude smaller.

It's not just a matter of numbers, 15,000 at most compared to 6,000,000, but of percentages (~1% vs ~67%) and it may seem callous to say "well those numbers are so much smaller so they don't matter," because they do matter. But come on! The deliberate and desperate attempt to hitch the Palestinian National Struggle to the wagon of Jewish suffering and genocide is offensive. It's pathetic.

In the grand scheme of things, it's incredibly likely that someone who lived during the Nakba survived it! Most of them quickly found temporary or even permanent homes, even citizenship, in neighboring countries. The Jews of the 1930s had none of that. They were even officially barred from fleeing to Palestine! The survivors were chased out of Europe en masse when they weren't still held in internment camps because no one knew what to do with them (because surrounding countries didn't want them to come back). Oh and don't forget that point about militia violence. The Arabs not only had their own militias who were fighting, but sovereign Arab armies from surrounding friendly states. Jordan even had British officers advising its armies!

So what exactly do you gain from calling those who fled/were expelled from Palestine "survivors" other than the inevitable Holocaust comparisons? I suppose it's part of a canard wherein no matter how inefficiently and unenthusiastically Jews carry out this "75 year slow genocide," it's still a genocide. It was always genocidal in intention.

Yeah, hundreds of thousands fled of their own accord, or because of the general panic and societal collapse among Arab communities, but trust us if the Irgun had tried a little harder they surely would've slaughtered these Arabs at a similar scale to the Jews of Europe! And I mean for the hundreds of thousands who were forcibly evicted at gunpoint... well they Jewish troops would've um... well see Mercury was in retrograde at the time… but seriously they would've massacred them all! You can't trust the Zionist propaganda!

And there are similar connotations with phrases like "Nakba denial" because various sources throughout history having different interpretations of different accounts of a very chaotic time and place is not really going to have the same effect as literal white supremacist bigots insisting that Jewish genocide is greatly overplayed, or straight up a lie, but it should've happened. Even ardent Zionist historians agree that the Nakba at least happened.

The reason I linked that previous post I made is because the sentiment is crystal clear. There are people who very much want the Palestinian National Struggle to have its own Shoah. They want Palestine to be a survivor like Am Yisrael. Whether that's to demonize Jews as hypocrites who became the very monsters who tried to annihilate them, or because the shine of being a Victim is capital in Leftist spaces, who knows.

But I sense an inherent numbness to Jewish oppression and suffering. Six million is a statistic, but a few hundred or thousand is such a sickening tragedy that it justifies violently harassing Jews in America, Australia, Canada, and Europe.

The Jews of Europe being herded like cattle to their systematic slaughter is something you (maybe) learn about in history, but the Arabs of Palestine and their allied neighbors fighting on much more even terms but losing is an injustice that justified chasing an even greater number of West Asian and North African Jews out of their countries.

The Holocaust was bad, sure, but the Nakba was so inhumane that the only recourse is to destroy Israel utterly, and who gives a damn what happens to 7 million Jews (almost all refugees and their descendants). They deserve it for what they did to Palestinians! The Shoah was "so long ago," but the Nakba is "ongoing," even though the former ended only 3 years before the latter.

Arab, Palestinian, Muslim life is intrinsically fragile and precious to the antizionist. Jewish life is cheap, and a nuisance. Begging them to learn about it and cherish it is propaganda and both sidesing the issue. And it's a convenient weapon for them. There are cases where violence was used to convert pagans in Europe. There are cases where people converted for financial reasons. There are cases where people converted because they felt called to. It's never going to be a singular way of conversion, because cultural genocide is rarely a systematic, linear event. All of this happened.

In that same thread, many pagans who spout on about "we are the products of the witches that you didn't burn" don't know shit about how that sort of shit happened, or who it actually affected. But both ends of this argument are fucking stupid.

It is entirely valid that I have cried multiple times over never knowing what my hutsul ancestors believed and practiced before Christianity in the fullest detail because Christian imperialism culturally genocided my ancestors and all of their neighbors. It's entirely valid that when I read into history of my ancestors, I can never find sources from them. It's always from Christians talking about them. Misunderstanding them. Flat out lying about them. I could never fully return to their traditions without having to dissect and write full ass dissertations on how Christianity warped their traditions and stories. and how we will never know how accurate I am actually being because of how ingrained Christianity has become.

And it's entirely valid to be upset with what Christianity has done to your ancestors even if non-pagans get mad at you about that. You're not automatically a white supremacist for wanting to know what your ancestors were like, and how they were affected by Imperialism that completely changed the face of Europe entirely. That's not what makes someone a white supremacist. Every people who can't easily access their ancestors' traditions feels that way.

I wish people would stop acting like Europe just suddenly became Christian. and I wish people would stop acting like it was 100% violent slaughter and you're "one of the survivors" who can use this to be an angry bitter bitch towards anyone who doesn't agree with you. It was a process over centuries, and it hurt indigenous folk beliefs, and this hurt is being used to hurt others. First of all, I’m anti-America not anti-American. This country is wicked from its foundation, on an institutional level. Which I do lot deny and speak about honestly.

I like Americans, I know, crazy. We’re a resilient people, fundamental good resides in most of us. I believe that about all of humanity but Americans are who I know. I love my neighbors. I love my community. The people I love live here, mainly. I wish the best for all of us. I think we deserve to live lives without constant fear of violence and political unrest, with access to resources without discrimination. We are all done a disservice by this country, not in equal measures, mind you. I want to make this country a better place. I do not consider myself a patriot, not a nationalist, I swear fealty to the people and landscape around me.

You’re right, it is hypocrisy to lash out at people who speak negatively about the establishment I despise. It isn’t productive. It’s a knee-jerk reaction. My boyfriend is a gentile and he's been so terribly supportive, like the love I receive from him is sometimes overwhelming and I don't know how I managed find such a good man. We live in a "progressive" city where there's been a pretty big rise in antisemitism thanks to university students (and the white supremacists in the neighboring towns seeing an opportunity), so I've taken to covering up my Hebrew tattoos just in case one of these fools can recognize it.

I knew this was a risk when I got them. I accepted that risk. I keep my head on a swivel and always have a shirt with sleeves handy, so he knew if I suddenly covered up that meant I'd seen or heard something to be cautious about. But I know it's bothering him that I'm doing it all the time now, that he's upset and worried for me, and I don't want him to be.
