Sooo if I just start dumping brain rots here, I hope you don't mind. I need a distraction from worrying over work and losing sleep. And I figured why not share the thoughts so you can feel free to elaborate!

I loved when ppl would do the dad!dream team head cannons. But here's me with my insanely dirty mind going, yeah all 3 of these boys def have breeding kinks. But I feel like it would manifest in different ways based off their personalities.

- he holds your hand the entire time you're in the hospital. He's so scared for you. He won't leave your side, constantly making sure u have whatever you need, even if it requires bribing the nurses /j

- he is the type to take you and the kids on different family trips like to see football games and the beach.

-loves setting up the nursery with you and picking out baby clothes and stuffed animals 

-he gives the vibes that he would enjoy going to like those couples birthing exercise classes with you. Like you both get a little workout and get to socialize with other couples (That's so random but it makes sense to my brain)

-scared asf when you go into labor. Panic mode activated! He gives the vibes where you wouldn't know if the doctor is giving breathing instructions to you or him. He would fight anyone who pissed you off tho. Full papa bear mode, just wanting to protect you. But it's all worth it when you and the baby turn out fine! 

-Will definitely ask the doctor when you can get pregnant again

Just got out of my first viewing (spoilers so tag accordingly)

Yeah that was the most ridiculous shit ive ever seen and i had a blast lmfao.

To get the few negatives out of the way: Syclla and Tiamat got COOKED. That's crazy. Especially Tiamat. I had no idea she was in the movie and like choked on popcorn when they said her name. First onscreen appearance and she dies in like 3 seconds... sucks to be her. But honestly... this is probably one of those moments where Fan Content messes with the perception of a canon thing, at least for me. It hurts a lot more because of the emotional attachment from stuff like Ozymandias's story, Shamhat, and other adjacent stuff. If I had never seen those and watched her die I'd probably think "oh she had a cool design, but whatever". But yeah, my only serious complaint is her being shafted and I don't even really think I can call it objective because there was definitely an attachment there.

Ok besides that this might be my new personal favorite Monsterverse. Could be recency bias but I don't think so. Every human is at the very least entertaining. Everything Trapper did in this movie made me crack up, hearing Bernie say the words 'Discord chat' and 'Ghidorahstan64' (i stg this was a callout of some kind) onscreen gave me terminal whiplash, and although Jia and Andrew's story was sorta surface level, it was still endearing. I'd rather have a good human storyline, sure, but if we can't have that I'll settle for entertaining.

Here I thought Suko was gonna be an annoying marketing ploy to sell toys... I physically snorted in the theatre when Kong slammed him into that one ape. MVP of the film lmao. Mothra was... also there. Yeah, it really shows that she was a last minute addition. But DAMN she sent Godzilla ROLLING with a single attack. Speaking of, I don't think the Tia-Zilla form was as underutilized as I've heard people say it was. Especially that new Atomic Breath effect. Holy eargasm.

Oh man though, Shimo and Skar are fantastic. Skar hits the same beat as like a Celestial Dragon or Vladimir Harkonnen with way more grace than I would've expected from a big monkey. They go shockingly dark with his treatment of the ape-slaves and Shimo... especially with that female ape insinuation.

Holy shit poor Shimo, man. I honestly thought the Skar controlling her aspect would be kinda downplayed and just regular mind control, not genuine torture of some kind. I love that they let her have characterization by resisting him at every chance she gets, and that the pain control isn't always active (i'm assuming that's the insinuation of keeping her all chained and behind magma, it depowers and restrains her when Skar's not actively using her), further insinuating she gets merciful breaks from hellish enslavement only to be yanked back into it whenever Skar needs something turned into a popsicle. I think my favorite moment in the film is right after Suko shatters the crystal and the light blue luminescence fades to reveal her actual eyes for the first time. Eyes are used throughout the film to show subtle humanizing features, like Godzilla falling asleep in Rome, Kong's wide eyes when he sees his kin, and shock when Shimo realizes she's free. Having her eyes glowing the whole film makes her seem way more monstrous and inhuman, so when that suddenly goes away she starts getting framed as just an animal. Also her eyes are pretty. Also, I lied, that wasn't my favorite part of the film. My favorite part was Kong giving her chin scratches and that cute half-hug. This needs to be normalized. He needs to hug Godzilla next film. I will pay someone a king's ransom for this to happen. Final little detail, I like that Kong doesn't do his final roar from on her back but standing next to her, on the same level as all the other apes. He doesn't look to elevate himself over her or everyone else like Skar did, which is a great touch.

Also also also: Think it's time for a Doug solo film where he tries to steal all the Titans' food. Make it happen Legendary.

Much agreement here! I'd love for a solo Mothra MonsterVerse film to really capitalize on her lore and give her stuff to do (without dying at the end preferably); maybe establish some connection between the Chen family and Jia. Also, I need a little shot of Mothra going to visit Godzilla while he's sleeping in the Colosseum and just cuddle up to the big lug.

Andrews and Jia were a welcome breath of fresh air after GvK reversed Mark's characterization and Madison became... that. There was still some slight tension between Jia not feeling like she belongs and Andrews wanting to do right by her, even if it means possibly giving her up, only for Jia to go "you're my mom, you're my home, stop being dramatic". You love to see it.

Adding to the Doug solo film idea... Shimo adopts him because he's cute and she thinks his shenanigans are hilarious. Let us have fun wholesome times!

Y/n had been working around the shop for a few hours when someone came to visit. 

The day before, she desisted from tidying the shop and just go home because the costumers took every bit of her energy. It wasn’t like a mass of people that came through the front door or anything like it, she wished. The same amount of costumers came to the shop on Saturday, although a woman kept her walking around and holding books she didn’t end up buying because she complained about the prices. Y/n cursed the woman behind her back when she left. It wasn’t nice, but she was angry and tired. So, the night before, the best idea was to leave the books and made them a problem from future her. 

The owner of the shop threw the rag she used for whipping the front desk and turned around. Y/n was meet with an interesting view. Matty was peeking through a crack he made after opening the door slightly. A few centimetres below Matty’s height, a loud sniff could be heard. 

Y/n listened him say a quiet ‘ah, ah, be a good boy’ which made her smile.

“Hello?” she shouted. 

Matty’s eyes met hers through the little space. He pushed it open a bit more, trying to show his face.

“Hi!” he greeted her. Matty was excited, after all, he hadn’t been around the shop for months.

“What are you doing?” Y/n asked him, a laugh escaping through her lips.

Matty didn’t tell her, instead he asked, “Can we get inside?”

“We?”

“Um, my dog and I.” the singer clarified. “‘ m not sure if he’s allowed here.” he finally revealed the reason behind his actions. 

“Come inside!” Y/n cheered up knowing a fluffy friend was with him. She loved animals like crazy. The idea of a dog brought up her mood even more than just seeing Matty’s face on a rare Sunday. 

Matty fully opened the door, letting his dog and himself inside. Y/n gasped a little like a child. The dog was even more beautiful than its owner. 

“Sit.” he commanded, the beautiful black haired dog obeyed. 

Y/n kneeled in front of them, meanwhile Matty stayed behind his dog, holding the leash because he knew Mayhem could get way too excited about meeting new people. 

“What’s his name?” she asked, staring into the dark brown eyes of the dog, who was looking at her with his mouth open and his tongue hanging out. 

Matty let her know he was called, “Mayhem.” 

Y/n dared to extend her hand, giving the animal the time to sniff it, so he was sure she wasn’t a danger. Mayhem licked Y/n’s hand and pushed forward towards her body. 

“You’re so beautiful, Mayhem.” she said, letting her hand touch the hair covering his head and scratching behind his ears. The dog loved it. 

“He likes you.” Matty stated after admiring them interact for another minute.

“Do you cutie?”

Matty couldn’t be mad about Y/n giving her entire attention to Mayhem. He was very far from that. The singer loved finding out she was a big dog lover like him.

After a while, Y/n felt very self-conscious and even thought she was being rude, almost ignoring Matty’s presence. She petted Mayhem some more, pushing herself up to be face to face with Matty.

“How are you?” Y/n gifted him a shy smile.

“I’m alright. Wasn’t expecting to see the shop open on a Sunday.” he admitted. 

“It’s actually closed.”

In a fast movement, Matty turned around so he could have a look at the front sign. It indicated the place was in fact closed. He felt a wave of embarrassment.

“I’m so sorry, Y/n. I thought- I didn’t-” Matty tried to explain his actions.

Y/n stopped him, letting her hand touch his, “It’s okay, I was tidying up and going home.” the short contact brought a tingling sensation to Matty’s skin. 

“Do you live far?” the singer found himself asking. 

“A few blocks down the road.”

“We will escort you!” he offered.

Y/n moved a step backwards, “No, please.”

“We insist.”

“We?”

“Yeah, definitely we.”

“Okay, if Mayhem insists…sure!” Y/n teased him.

The front door of the bookshop closed with a characteristic sound. Y/n turned the keys and tried the knob, checking it was actually blocked. After that, the journey back home with the boys started.

“So…” she spoke first, unsure of her words. “You look-”

Before she could complete the sentence, Matty added, “Exhausted? Horrible? Disgusting?” which made her chuckled. 

“Tired and different, I was going for.” 

“Different?”

“Mhm.”

“What do you mean?” Matty asked at the same time they stopped under a three, so Mayhem could pee. 

“I’m not sure.”

“Come on, you can say.”

“I- I haven’t seen you in almost two months…of course you’re different. Probably got a hair cut.”

Y/n thought a million different things when he came through the door half hour ago after not seeing him for long months. It had been the first time he spent that long away from the shop since the first time they met. She wasn’t going to admit right away she had missed him, his presence. Y/n did think he looked different, but it wasn’t only a superficial change, like his hair or anything similar. His eyes didn’t hold the sadness any more.

“You didn’t mean it like that.” Matty confront her, starting to walk forward again. 

“I did.”

He didn’t hesitate to accuse her, “Liar.”

“Matty!”

“Just tell me.” the singer nudged her arm with his elbow. 

“Not heartbroken any more.” she admitted finally.

Now it was time for Matty to go quiet after a simple, “Mmm.”

“Ah, no! You can’t do that to me now that I’ve said it.”

It was meant to sound like a joke, although Matty’s face and mood changed visibly. Y/n worried something she must’ve said was the reason.

“I feel different.” Matty told her, looking in front of them, seeing how Mayhem leaded the way. Without him noticing, Y/n left all the shyness and admired his features. She admitted it to Kate before, it was impossible to deny it: Matty was very handsome. 

“That’s good, I think?” 

“Being away from here helped.” 

Y/n’s heart broke a little hearing him said that.

“Oh.” her eyes drifted to look at Mayhem too. 

“I just…all here reminded me of her.”

The shop owner kept her feeling buried, trying to focus on his words.

“I get it.” 

And she did because everything around her reminded Y/n about Jason.

Inevitably, silence fell between them. Matty and Y/n walked behind Mayhem for another block until one of them broke the quiet ambient. 

“I did miss the bookshop a lot.” the singer admitted. 

Knowing he was touring around the world made Y/n believe that was just a lie to make her feel better. 

“Bluffing.” she scoffed. 

“Y/n! I’m serious.” Matty fought back, turning half his body towards her, but she ignored him.

“Work was good then?”

“Yeah.”

“Great.”

“How about the shop? Another regular taking my place?” Matty joked.

“Nah, just Kate and me.”

“I’d like to meet the Kate.” because he really did want that. He thought Kate would probably give him the information he wanted about Y/n. 

“I don’t know if that’s a good idea.” she hesitated. 

“Why?” 

“I love her, but…”

“But-”

“She’s going to ask you a ton of questions.” Y/n wasn’t wrong, Kate would be civilized from the start until all her inhibitions flew out of the window, and she started asking secrets about the band. Or even telling Matty about Y/n’s secrets or old embarrassing memories they shared. 

“Nothing out of the ordinary for me.”

“Mmm.”

Y/n got inside her head a little, feeling how knowing he was a rock star at the same time she faked she didn’t know was weighing on her. Although making him uncomfortable wasn’t the idea.

“Why so apprehensive? Is she going to reveal your deepest secrets?” 

“Hundred percent yes.” Y/n nodded.

“Then I really want to get to know her.” Matty watched how Y/n shook her head from side to side, smiling. A big one on his face matching hers. She was so sweet and beautiful. “I can bring Mayhem again.” 

“That’s blackmailing.” Y/n pointed her finger towards his face. And before Matty could say anything more about meeting her friend, Y/n informed him, “This is me.”

Matty and Y/n stood face to face like inside the shop, with the only difference they were in front of her house. 

“It’s getting what you want.” the singer didn’t want to let go the previous conversation. 

“Do you want to meet Kate? I can give you her number.” she would love that, it didn’t matter she was currently dating someone.

“I don’t want her number.”

“Okay.”

Something weird happened with the silences between them. For a few seconds they were awkward, although sooner both adults felt okay with it. Those moments didn’t cut the conversations or interactions between them, the opposite, in fact. Every single of them made the friendship stronger, made it comfortable enough for Matty and Y/n to feel free to stay in silence, talk when they feel it, or even bring a dead conversation back. 

 “Can I have your number?” Matty inquired, surprising her.

“I-” Y/n stuttered. The months without speaking were pushing Y/n to just do it, but an alarm inside her head was also loud.

“It’s okay, I’ve shouldn’t-”

“Give me your phone.” Y/n interrupted him. 

Y/n took the device on her hands, ignoring every single part of her mind that shouted ‘stop or don’t’. Every thought was silenced when her eyes meet the pic Matty had of two dogs sleeping on a big couch occupying all the space as his background picture.

“Who’s this one?” the girl pointed to the dog that she recognized it wasn’t Mayhem.

“Allen, my other boy.” Matty said like a proud father. 

“He’s so sweet.”

“He’s a big boy.”

Y/n continued talking, asking, “Where’s he?” without doing the task she was meant to do.

“With my mate, Sam. Mayhem and Allen live with him. We can’t take them together for walks, so he went to the park and I walked around the neighbourhood.” Matty shared with Y/n.

“Ah.” she simply said, returning her sight to the phone. “Sorry, it blocked.”

After a quick and awkward exchange of the phone, Matty returned it. His calloused fingertips meeting the soft skin of her hand. Y/n tapped quickly on his screen, saving her phone number fast.

“Here.”

“Thanks.”

“Well, I’ll let you enjoy the rest of your day.” Matty wished her. 

Y/n’s features didn’t lie when she said, “I’m enjoying it.” and the singer felt his cheeks warm even though the air was cold.

“Let’s go, M.”

“Goodbye, boys.” Y/n waved behind them.

“Bye, Y/n.”

Once they were out of her view, Y/n got inside her house, sensing her phone vibrate. She took it out of her pocket and opened the newest message.

Hi, this is my number. I forgot to tell you that I missed our chats. See you later, Y/n. Matty xx

Y/n replied a quick, See you soon, Matty x paying zero attention to the mix of feeling on her belly.

Today was a normal day for the fractions in NYC along with others enjoying the start of the brand new year. It seems like everyone else is doing alright so far, chilling with their teammates and friends. However, it was like nothing can ruin this with checking on the DBT.

In the kitchen, Jaron Jackal was fixing up some food for his team while flipping some pancakes. The smell already woke up everyone else while they were excited to eat in a moment.

"Mmmm everyday is the best morning because nothing beats Jaron's home cooking. especially during breakfast" Ink smiled rubbing her hands together while seeing the others fixing up the table this morning. She was already excited seeing the stacks of pancakes and waffles on the plates as he sets them on there.

"Though, you think anything crazy might happen this morning?" Navarro asked but he yawns scratching his head a little. Hearing this, Jaron looks to the team but smiled.

"Depends on what might happen, Navarro. Besides, I'm sure today will be a good day for us." He was still making more pancakes when finishing the waffles when seeing Maggie setting some plates down of bacon, eggs, toast, and so on. The news was playing from the living room so they can enjoy their breakfast. Ophelia and Hellmare was helping as well put the food on the table.

When Jaron was done, it was now time to eat! The spread was big but he always liked cooking for them seeing their happy faces. "Alright, breakfast is served. Dig in everyone." he laughed.

"Thanks Jaron!" They said before setting up their plates with what they liked this morning. The food was so good that it made them get enough but not too much.

As they were about to eat, however, Ink heard her phone going off. "???" she looks down seeing it was Jinx's phone number.

"Who's that Ink?" Ophelia asked holding her fork wondering who is calling so early this morning.

"huh, It's Jinx. I wonder what she needs?" she goes to answer it.

"Maybe giving her demon sister a good morning." Hellmare smiled thinking about it since she knew how close Jinx and her were. Ink smiled but she didn't mind that while answering the phone.

"Hello demon sis! What's up?" she asked hearing the other on the phone. Her smile still remains but then it changed to looking confused.

"Huh? Your coming over? All of you? Oh sure but why-" she stops hearing Jinx talking to make her look confused. Even the team noticed now wondering what was going on.

"Ooohhhhh kaaayyyy...but why you sound like your out of breath for some reason.....no it's fine. We'll see you soon." she said. This confused the others.

"So what's wrong?" Ophelia asked.

"Something about the vixens coming to visit. Though, she didn't tell me why. She hung up quickly before I could ask her. But I'm sure it's nothing serious. Maybe they wanna visit and hang out for a while!" she smiled even if her team thinks about it. Not that it's a problem knowing they love seeing their friends visit from time to time but...that was sorta fast right?

The others were confused about this but they will see later on when they can.

Though..they would not expect this to happen later on.

Around noon, the DBT were all dressed up as usual hanging out and doing their own thing. Navarro was working on something, Maggie was in a video phone call with Gerald and Taz from where they are. She was checking up on them. Rust playing some games with Oblivion. Ophelia was humming checking on some new potions, Hellmare was out visiting Hiroshi for now. Fosh was working on some things on his laptop or checking the hacker's site. And Jaron was cleaning up the dishes in the kitchen.

Seems like things are okay till....

A knock was heard to make Ink look up. "Hmm? I wonder who that could be?" She goes to get the door seeing the others look up wondering the same. The knocking kept going.

"Hold on, I'm coming." Ink said happily as she opens the door. "Hello-" Right away, she saw Jinx come in along with her team who was gently helping someone who was wearing a cloak. That other was Melinda?

"Jinx??"

The other DBT members heard and looks seeing the cursed Vixens, the team that was watching over or stationed at Central park. They did come for a visit but....something was off.

"Uhhh hey demon sis! Just coming to visit is all hope you don't mind!" she said laughing as the vixens went in but Jinx was careful getting Melinda inside.

"We don't mind at all. It's nice to see you visit though...why is Melinda wearing that?" Ink sees her wearing a hooded cloak but she was just as confused as them. The rest of the DBT came in but stops seeing what was going on. Even Jaron was confused.

"?????????"

"Girls, I can't see. What is even going on? Where are we!?" she said but they sit her down as Breezy helps to see Melinda blink to look.

"Jinx? What is-"

"Uhhhh what's going on? Did something happen?" Jaron asked but the vixens looks to him as he sweatdrops confused. Did something happen? They seem to have rushed over here even if they could have used a portal Jinx sorta panicked but that's explains for another time.

"Jinx???" Before long, Jinx goes to look at Jaron then at Melinda.

"Uhhhh....we can't explain it..."

"Wait, how come you can't tell us? I'm sure whatever it is we can hel-"

"No no. I can tell the others but not to you or Melinda."

"What?"

"Huh?"

Melinda and Jaron were really confused but Melinda didn't understand.

"Well, can I at least take off the hood and cloak...It's really warm with this on-"

"NO! Not yet!" Jinx said stopping her as she heard Melinda yelp but Jinx looks to Jaron. He sweatdrops wondering what happened or did he do something wrong?

"Okay what is going on? Why can't she take off this thing? Are hiding something from me? Or from her?" Jaron asked.

"Ehhhhh, well I'm not but she don't know! I think it's best for you to see for yourself. So..you and her, in there or go to a room! We need to talk to Ink and the rest of the team!" Jinx said.

"Wait what?" Both Jaron and Melinda was confused.

"Breezy what is happening here???" Rust whispered to Breezy but she looks to him but whispers into his ear what is going on. He said nothing confused till his eyes widen to quickly look at her then at Melinda.

"Wait..your kidding right?"

"Nope...not kidding."

"........"

"Rust? What is going on...what did she say to you?" Maggie asked.

"......Ummm.......I...."

"...Hold on.." The vixens begins whispering what is going on to everyone except Jaron and Melinda. When being told the information, they had the same reaction like Rust did. Looking at them then at Melinda who was really confused now.

"Uhhh....What's wrong? Why are you guys staring at me l..like that?" she asked. Ink blinks but she looks to Jinx who nod saying it's true.

"....Woahhhhhh....that's...huh.." Ink was shocked.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me.." Navarro was speechless.

"......Well, this is..something..and Navarro language." Shdwkyz said with a sigh.

"Oh shut up Shdwkyz! You would be shocked too if you had that too!"

"I..I got no words.." Maggie mutters.

"Geez...." Fosh was worried.

"Hmmm..." Ophelia said nothing but it was still shocking.

"Oh dear..." Hellmare said but didn't know.

"GUYS! What the heck is going on-" Jaron was about to ask but Rust stops him. "???"

"You know we can talk about it! However, You two! In a room now!" Breezy said but picks Melinda up who yelps and was pushed into Jaron's arms.

"H..Hey! What is going on?!" he said but was gently shooed away with Rust and Breezy helping them into a room. Breezy and Rust gets them inside but shuts the door to leave them in there. Everyone blinks seeing this but lets out a sigh.

"Uhhhhhh..."

"Okay..we can explain fully now. Though, Melinda will know sooner or later..."

"What the hell is going on!? How in the world did that even happen to her!?!" Navarro said but Echo calms him down.

"We don't know how it happened! We just found out this morning!!" she said confusing the DBT.

"Eh?"

"*Sighs* In short..something hit Melinda we are guessing but we don't know how how she got...'them'." Vivi explains.

"Strange how?" Oblivion asked.

".......Well, remember that one time that some of you were infected with that so call strain or S-HYDE venom or something? "she asked seeing some nod.

"Hold on, did Melinda get some in her?! But how! We thought we got rid of em!" Ink said but Jinx shook her head.

"No no not like that....she wasn't bitten like that or anything but...something happened and well...she has...some new added features as we explained." Jinx said rubbing her head but really confused the DBT.

"Geez, what was up with that?" Jaron mutters sitting on the ground wincing. They seriously push a bit rough but at least Melinda was alright. Being careful, he looks to Melinda. "Are you okay?" he asked.

"Yes I'm fine. I'm so sorry about that..I don't know what gotten into them. They were fine yesterday and now..they are acting all worried given they made me wear something to cover my head." she said showing the hooded cloak she had.

"Uhhh why did they make you wear this?" he asked.

"No idea. I mean, I guess something is going on given they reacted like that." she said shrugging. Jaron was confused but he sighed.

"Well, their has to be a reason if they got you wearing this." he said helping her sit up as she was sitting on the ground to stand up.

"Maybe Jinx never told me." Melinda was confused removing the cloak and hood from her. She felt it over her head but shook her head seeing her black hair in a pony tail today. That and wearing the cloak was hot too.

"Honestly, I don't know my self..maybe theirs some attack going on? I don't know." she mutters thinking. However, she didn't know the main reason.

"Well, I'm sure we will figure it out. In the mean time, you will be sa-?!" as soon as he looks to her, his own eyes widen. From what he saw in her black hair were two familiar dog ears that was down but twitching happily.

Wait....

'H..Hold on....dog ears?....no.....Doberman dog ears?! W..WHAT THE HECK!? T..the..ear...h..how? How does she..' still in shock, Jaron was speechless seeing the ears but then saw something wagging behind her. A tail! She had a tail too?!?

'....Oh no....' he was hoping it was not true but he walks over to get a closer look.

"I wonder if the girls are worried about some attack. Or maybe it's something else." she mutters to herself. However, as she was thinking, that's when she tenses to feel Jaron's hands.

"Huh? Jaron? What's wrong?" she asked but he was quiet worried. He gets a closer look but saw the familiar dog ears! So it was true!! She did have them! They were down but were floppy ears.

"......How is this possible? How in the world could this have happened?!" he said but Melinda was more confused.

"Jaron, what is it? Is something on my head? Is their something in my hair?" she asked feeling his hands but he was silent to be worried.

"...Ummm...If I tell you. You won't get too shocked will you?" he asked.

"Uhh No? But why would I be?" she really didn't know. Sighing, Jaron moves to set her down on the bed to sit but he goes to get a mirror for her to see. He holds it up to show her reflection to her.

"????" she was confused. "What am I looking at here? I see myself?" she asked.

"I know. Here just hold the mirror." She blinks to look at Jaron then reaches to take it. When she did, Jaron goes to carefully rest his hands on her head but moving some of her black hair to show something. The doberman floppy dog ears.

"Huh? What is.....wait....are those dog ears?" she asked confused but Jaron looks to sit in front of her.

"Yes....."

"...........W..Wait......" She sees Jaron remove his own hat showing his own doberman dog ears with the tail not wagging. However, Melinda reaches to feel for herself.

Right away, she felt something there alright. Two doberman dog ears. They were there! Her silver eyes were wide seeing this, feeling them but she was even hearing some light pats behind her seeing the tail finally.

".....!?!?....." She seriously had a tail!! And ears!? How was this possible what was going on!?

Jaron sighed seeing her shocked but looks to her.

"So...they are...I have.....I got.."

"Yeah...but how...how in the world did you even get them? "he asked to look at her but he only sees her lower her hands from her head looks down confused.

"I don't know I Just..I didn't even know I had them." she looks to Jaron seeing him look at her then looks down again to sigh.

"Guess you do know since that explains why Jinx and them freaked out like before....." He mutters but Melinda was looking quiet then lowers her hands to ask,

"T..then.."

"?????"

".....A..are they real....are they.." she mutters but Jaron looks worried.

"...They are real Melinda.." he said.

"........." she didn't say much but Jaron was worried but she said nothing for a moment before looking silent.

"T..then can you..t..tell? Are they....."

Wait, was she asking him to test it? He didn't say anything but looks to her. In a moment, Jaron reaches to pet her head gently. Right away, she closes her eyes from the head pets but she felt her own tail wagging slowly from the happy pets. Even her ears twitched from him touching them.

'They even feel real too..so soft..' he thought blushing petting her as she was closing her eyes but feels the doberman ears twitching. However, he even carefully scratches behind the ears when a happy whine came from her. It's like she was a happy puppy a he blinks to blush heavily still scratching her ears more.

She was smiling while closing her eyes, feeling the scratches behind her ears wagging her tail even more. Even leaning into his touch wanting more ear scratches. Yeah, she seriously is precious.

"N..Nice..your scratches feel nice.." she said softly blushing.

"..I......."

'What the heck am I doing!? I mean....she's super adorable but..no no focus Jaron..' he thought but Melinda looks to him when she opens her eyes to blink.

"Sorry sorry.." he said trying to calm down but sighs. "Well, I can confirm the ears and tail are real.." he said.

"Really?"

"Yes. So...that does explain why your team was hiding your ears and tail. Knowing that others might be..unsure on how to react." he said.

"That or....others finding out." He knew most might be confused but worse; other guys might find out and try to touch or pet her. Now he can't have that can he?

As Jaron and Melinda were talking, the others were shocked hearing the story from Jinx at what happened. Now they were trying to figure out how to help her.

"So...let me get this straight; Melinda got hit with something and now..she has dog ears and a tail like Jaron does?" Ink asked seeing the vixens nod.

"And now you guys been hiding her ears and tail since then?" Ophelia asked.

"Yeah, we didn't know how to tell her so..I guess Jaron will tell her. Even so. We figure someone hit her with some magic or something but we don't know how long the ears and tail will be." Echo said which shocked the DBT.

"Geez......"

"So it's something like that but...it's strange how that worked in a way.....but..is she is alright and don't know about the ears or tail?" Maggie asked.

"Well, Jaron must have told her so she must know by now." Jinx said rubbing the back of her head. For now, the girls were unsure on how Melinda would react but the DBT knew Jaron will keep her calm. Given the situation.

"Yeah, I still stand by what I said.." Rust said with arms crossed.

"And that is?" Ink said confused.

"Those two were seriously made for one another. I mean dang! It's like if they kept those ears they might end up really having pups in the future!" He laughed only to get bonked by Shdwkyz. "OW!"

His eye was twitching hearing this while holding the sheath of his katana with the others sweatdropping to sigh.

"So it seems were in the same predicament huh? I was not expecting to even get these like you." she mutters while her ears were down still with Jaron rubbing her back.

"I know it's a lot but.....It won't last long since you said it will go away." he said but deep down he thought she looked precious with the ears and tail! He wanted to cuddle and pet her to see her being happy-No no no not now! He looks quiet but Melinda remains quiet to sigh.

"Well, at least we have something in common. I got these cute adorable ears like you do...that means we really were meant to be huh?" she smiled even if Jaron blinks to blush even worse that he covers his mouth feeling his tail wagging happy to hear that. Damn it why did she have to be so precious!?

"?????" She blinks but looks seeing the tail hitting the sheets behind him. However, Melinda only smiled to gently take his hand as he blinks to look at her. Even her own tail was wagging happily.

"Sorry it's just....please don't think this is weird but you seriously are adorable..even with the ears and tail....." he mutters but she only blushed to look down.

"Y...You think so?" she asked to see that Jaron nods not looking at her. However Melinda blushed more that she even hugs him suddenly while her own tail wags happily behind her. He didn't move but he just reaches to pet her head seeing the ears.

"Y...Yeah..you really do look adorable....."

"Awwww, you're so sweet. I mean, I didn't know I had them but I'm happy I do...even if I know they will go away when they do r..right?" she asked and yet Jaron sighed. True, he was still waiting for his own ears to go away.

"But..I guess this means we will be there for one another even with the dog ears and tail." she said but Jaron looks to the side to sigh.

"Yeah....that's true. Though I will ask if you can be sure you hide your ears and tail. I don't..want anyone else to see you this cute. I only want to see it." he mutters even if Melinda heard that to blink.

"W..Wait..did I hear that right?" she asked but saw his face dark from blushing.

"Well yes. I know you will have them for a while but..I don't want other guys trying to do something to you. So...that's why I just figure I...ask.." he said and yet Melinda blinks to gently smile. All Melinda did was hug him but her tail was resting on his own.

"Don't worry I'll be fine silly..but I won't let another guy touch or pet me....I'll be alright." she said softly even kissing his cheek that Jaron blinks. He just sighed but was petting her again while she smiled feeling her ears twitch thanks to it. However, her tail was still resting on his own as his own was wagging like hers.

"Good......" He mutters happy even nuzzling the top of her head. Right into her ears as she blinks to close her eyes giggling from the soft nuzzles.

"H..Hey, that tickles <3.." she giggled happy but Jaron smiled even so. Still so precious.

Seems the two were alright with this even going on. Though, they would rest up for a bit before leaving the room to hang out with the others. The DBT and the Vixens were worried but they knew deep down Jaron and Melinda will be alright. Though, they did wonder how long the ears and tail will last for the time. For now, Jaron will savor the moment just like Melinda doing the same with him.

That and getting used to this for the time being.

I had a shockingly long and busy day. I was not expecting that. But I ended up teaching essentially two workshops between camp and creative alliance. But now that's its done I actually feel great mentally. Physically I'm very excited that I don't have to leave the house tomorrow.

I slept fine. But I did not want to get up. And since I knew I didn't have my first workshop until 1230 I knew I could get away with sleeping a little late. I set my alarm for an extra hour. James came in to give me a kiss and say goodbye but they said something about boxes and I was half asleep and couldn't figure out what they meant so then my brain wouldn't turn back off and I didn't end up falling back asleep.

So I just stayed in bed an extra half hour before getting up. I got dressed and had cereal. My hair is driving my a little crazy. It looks so nice when I first wake up but then just looks crazy throughout the day. I also think the top layer is breaking which is frustrating because I don't really know how to fix that. I may start wearing braids more especially since it's getting so long. I don't actually want to cut it shoulder length again right now but we will see if I stick to that.

I left here and got to camp around 830. I went straight to art to load up my wagon with all my painting supplies. But I was not feeling good. I think I've figured out that if I'm standing or laying the nausea is not terrible. But sitting down kills me. But then I am tired from standing and want to sit. It's a lose lose.

Once I was ready to go I would set up my hammock and just chill in it for an hour. My car blanket was still in the laundry so I wasn't as cozy as I wanted but it was nice to just lay there. I really need to figure out how I can hang a hammock at our house. There isn't an amazing space for it. But I think it would really make me feel better to have that somewhere. I'll investigate that soon.

Around 930 I went down to the office. It was a pretty quiet morning. I would find some step by step guides for drawing turtles and snakes and salamanders. I thought that this would be the most helpful for having the adults paint. It's like hey maybe you don't have an idea but you could follow this or you can do whatever you want I'm not your mom. And I thought that since those were the animals they got to meet yesterday they would enjoy them.

And I was very right! But that wouldn't be for hours.

In the mean time I would play around online. Sent some emails. Watched TikToks. I would have my lunch at 11 even though I wasn't actually hungry. It was just soup and it was really nice.

Heather had me scan some stuff for the land trust and construction projects. I was eavesdropping on their meeting a little. Not on purpose but the walls are pretty thin. It seems like there is issue moving forward with the rising ring because of the new building in the woodlands village. I don't 100% understand why but it sucks and I hope the are able to solve it.

Finally though I could head over to the lodge. The ground was really really muddy so getting my wagon over there was precarious. But I made it. And when I did get over there the group also asked me to bring a mop over to one of the cabins and to help turn on the heat. Can do!

So I helped with those tasks first before I set up a table for my painting materials. And then I would draw out a tortoise for me to paint. I like to teach by example. And in this case (and many cases) my example is just working along side them.

And this worked out well. They are adults and there were 3 other stations they could chose. Horsemanship, Zipline, and bb guns. I would end up with 4 people over the two hours but honestly it was so nice. Everyone was just doing their own thing. Sometimes coming over for advice. I would go around and encourage and point out things I thought was nice about their techniques. The one guy had brought his own canvases so his was much larger then everyone else. But it was honestly just such a lovely afternoon. I painted my tortoise. I chatted. I laughed with them when the staff was singing and being so silly. It was a good day. Even if it was shockingly gross outside.

Which made getting my wagon back to art horrible. Getting it through the mud and then up the hill was not fun at all. But thankfully I did not fall and the wagon didn't tip over. It just made me a bit exhausted.

So after I put everything away I had to take a half hour to sit at the office. Joe let me know they a neighbor is going to adopt Bobbi cat. I'm so thrilled. They deserve a good home. I hope they are gentle with them.

When I got back to the office after talking to Joe about the cat, Sarah gave me a really nice pumpkin muffin. Which was so kind of her. I would sit at my desk and enjoy that. Talked to Alexi and Heather about my pregnancy symptoms. And after checking in about next week's field trip I would head out.

I decided I wanted Burger King. I just thought that a veggie burger would be nice. And I was mostly right. It was a weirdly long wait at the drive through when they didn't seem to have any other customers. But it was fine.

I ate in the empty parking lot. And while the food was very good I would feel a lot of stomach pain half way through and I was sure I was going to throw up. I would breathe through it and be okay but it was upsetting that that keeps happening. I should be able toe at a single burger without getting so sick!!

But I had a plan. I needed to get home by 4 so I could sleep for a little before my workshop. I needed to do that to make it through. I was very anxious about the workshop. Like I always am. So sleep was important.

And I would sleep. I got home and changed into a sweatshirt and laid down and was out pretty quick. And it was a good little power nap. I woke up at 5 and James was home. I wasn't feeling amazing but I had to shake that off.

I got redressed. And spent a little time cutting out canvas because I realized I didn't have a great plan for how they were going to practice stitching. I would lay on the couch for a few minutes with James talking about our days. But then I had to go.

I would honestly feel a lot better by the time I got there. Still nervous but some teens would let me in the building and I would go set up. We were doing the workshop in the kitchen because the dance class was stomping so loudly again. And it was still loud in the kitchen but not as bad. I got all set up and waited for people to come in. We did t have a desk person tonight so it was a little tough getting people in the building but we managed and all 8 showed up which was awesome.

And these guys were new new new to sewing. So we absolutely started with the basics. Here are all the materials. What types of fabrics. How to use different materials for different applications. And I'm so glad I brought the canvases. I drew on each one so they could follow guides for the 5 stitches we learned. And we would talk about how each one can be used, both for making it for mending. And it was just a really awesome evening.

We had a lot of laughing and chatting. I worked on my own sampler so they could see what they needed to do. The hardest part for them was tying the knot at the end of a row but I think they the end they understood my trick or just tied it like a shoelace. Either way was fine with me. I was being as encouraging as possible and problem solving. We talked about how to see a button. How to find the needle through the back of the fabric. A running stitch, little x's, a back stitch, a whip stitch, and a blanket stitch. And once we got to the blanket stitch I had them cut out little felt pieces to make a pin. Which was very cute and they all did so good. I was super proud of them.

Slowly people started leaving. To go to dinner or trivia. The last two ladies were chatting with me and helping me pack up. And then it was goodbye and see you next time.

I have two more workshops on the calendar. I didn't realize that the class catalog had my workshops on the first page! And my face/part of my face with a project on the 4th page. It was really cool to see. Made me feel really excited.

I carried my basket of materials to the car. And headed home. I was excited to see James at their desk when I walked it. It's the best part of them moving their office to share my studio. They are usually right there and it makes me happy.

We would sit on the floor and talk. Played with sweetp. Mostly just poked and pet him. But eventually we came upstairs. James went to shower and I worked on this.

But it is time for me to wind down now. Tomorrow I am hoping to have a productive morning at home. I want to move out cleaning products to the basement. And do some organizing in the bathroom. And then in the afternoon we are getting out new backdoor and I'm so excited to get a door with a window. Game changer for sure.

I hope that it all goes smoothly. And that I don't feel so sick. Fingers crossed.

oso and totty lowkey bully her in different ways meant to be friendly/older sibling-like but totty's 2 seconds away from getting punched at any given time for a while lol. ichi's a little scared of her at first because she seems too friendly, jyushi's just happy to have someone around who will entertain sports shenanigans, kara is overjoyed to have someone around who doesn't die of cringe whenever he opens his mouth or shows off a new outfit

she tries to be super normie around their parents but they raised 6 neets so they can immediately tell shes hiding something. they dgaf when they realize the Something is that shes a big nerd lol they're just happy she has a job and supports herself

iyami she clearly dislikes and tries to hide it to varying levels of success. he holds up her end of this by never acknowledging they're about to throw hands so it's kinda hard to watch them interact

canon charas... choro and kara, nyaachan and chibita would be too if they had more opportunities to hang out! choro and yuuchan are slow burn 4ever before they actually get together, mushy nasty friends to lovers scenario. sickening. they're an endless feedback loop of dumping anime and idol stuff back and forth to each other for hours because they dont have any other outlet to do it with LOL

with kara she can tolerate (+ enjoys seeing other take psychic damage from) his personality quirks and they have fashion sense thats kinda out there compared to whats considered normal... they are prob the closest after her and choro and they have a fun sibling dynamic :D

nyaachan and chibita she probably considers friends more than they do with her... she has to hide bits and pieces of her likes and personality around them but they are easiest out of all the side characters for her to talk to

others ocs... i love to talk about/play toys with @/girlymatsu's erina and @/ichikos's izzy most of the time LOL i think this is where the real meat and potatoes comes from, talking about scenarios is the most fun idea to me. blinks my big wet eyes @ everyones ocs i <3 throwing our dolls at each other

the animation in general was so so so amazing and the yuji v choso fight - the colours and lighting were giving almost retro or street fighter vibes

i don’t actually remember too much of jjk 0 since i watched it when it first came out BUT i think it felt lacking because we’re so used to the dynamic of the main series that we forget that 0 is a whole different dynamic centred around the events prior to the adrenaline rush that is jjk. experience in RP — Since 2003, so it's been 20 freaking years now of on and off RP life. Feeling old now. I started on xanga as Bankotsu from Inuyasha. It was a lawless RP land back then. Everyone god modded and one lined, but it was a grand time. My Bankotsu got so many of those sacred jewel shards.

best experiences — I have many. The first days of RP were certainly some of them. I actually met quite a few people from RP in RL. I would say the best of the best was when I met a group of Danganranpa RPers on anirp, and we did different story-lines all together. The one guy made up stories and events for the characters. I was Gundham. We also did the despair storyline which I think was my favorite, because I was able to do despair Gundham and made such a great backstory and I got so many compliments from the group on how I portrayed him(I guess he was pretty similar to the joker according to some.) I got my own event where i tried to kill all the other remnants with my animal army. We also did a really fun persona storyline. I got to be the fem p3 protag and had a love triangle with Shinji and Akihiko. ;) There was some drama with the group, and the leader talked a lot of crap cause I was busy and missed a lot of events though, so I ended up leaving.

pet peeves / dealbreakers — My number one is the one thing I will block you for: If you ask for a starter and then never reply. I have very little time to write and I can't stand people wasting my time. Another is drama of course. I come to RP as an escape, not for more stress. It also annoys me if someone posts a starter call and I like it, but get ignored. Why did you follow me back if you don't want to RP?

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — Fluff and angst are by far my two favorite genres. I love the corny, romantic slow burn more than anything. Romance is dead irl and I need some kind of fantasy outlet since I'm a hopeless romantic. I also just love angst cause it causes conflict and helps the characters develop, and I just live for the drama. Besides, after the hurt, comes the comfort. My other favorite genre is dark. I love writing dark things. Junko is a good outlet for that, and I'd love to write despair Gundham sometimes. Also Dark Mikey. Smut, I'm pretty good at writing it, but I need a solid storyline and a slow burn romance that leads up to it. Except maybe for Junko.

plot or memes — I honestly usually just wing stuff haha. I've posted memes but people generally don't send them to start new storylines with me. Since I'm shy, I don't typically approach people to try and plot either v.v But both are great when they happen.

long or short replies — I prefer stuff typically on the longer side(If you can't tell by my blog). I would say my typical replies are 3 paragraphs or so, but I can go longer. I really like to flesh out my muses and their thoughts. I don't expect people to keep up though.

best time to write — Weekends by far. Lately I haven't had time to do anything on my weekdays. Work has been crazy busy so I haven't been able to use the work computer for replies. I work two jobs and commute over 2 hours everyday, (and go to the gym 3 days a week), so I just don't have much time for anything during the week.

are you like your muse — I typically do characters that are vastly different from myself, because I feel like that's the most fun for me. Some similarities though:

I love animals(I'm a vet assistant), and I typically dress goth/alt like Gundham

I tend to be impulsive like Mikey

I'm quite air headed, ditzy, and naive like Fubuki(Not to that extreme at least, but a little bit.)

I tend to be logical, cold, and distant like Makoto. I'm also terrible at asking for help, feeling I have to be the rock and do everything myself. I have to always be strong for everyone else, and never show any weakness.

I have a really rough past full of abuse like Benedikta, and am always fighting an internal darkness.

I actually am looking for more PS5 games to buy. A more detailed review/recommendation of Spider-Man 2 would be appreciated if you have the time.

Alright, I'm gonna try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible!

THE PROS:

-Story's great! Perhaps not as emotionally resonant as the first game (they really did knock it out of the park with the Otto-Li-Osborn story), but still very impactful, and I loooved everyone's characterization. The setpieces were freakin' wild, so much more intense than almost anything in the previous entries, but the smaller, quieter moments were also very well done. Dialogues are great, can range from corny to eye-roll worthy, but in such a way that it matches Spider-Man's vibe very well.

-Traversal is the best in the series, with multiple new options that feel seamlessly integrated and a boost to swinging speed that can genuinely get you across the city in just a couple minutes, if that.

-Combat has been streamlined in some ways, deepened in others. YMMV on some on the missing gadgets from previous games, but I found the new ones and the new abilities (and the much simpler activation mechanic, ditching the slow "weapon wheel" style for an L1/R1 + assigned button method) an overall positive change. You kinda need it, because this game has a much steeper difficulty curve than the previous two.

-Aside from some facial oddities (I do find it a bit annoying that they keep changing how Peter looks, and even though it's the same MJ face model she looks super different from the 1st game to me, too, while the characters from Miles' side of the story look better but still perfectly recognizable), game looks incredible. Visual design, costumes, special effects, just all around a gorgeous game, and incredibly well animated, too.

-Practically zero loading times or any sort of performance issue (I did play on the 60 fps performance mode, tho)

THE CONS:

-Some real narrative Choices(TM) are made that could definitely be divisive if you're expecting more of a traditional Spider-Man story. I personally wasn't bothered by most of these (especially as this is its own universe), but I could understand some ruffled feathers.

-The expanded map can get a bit same-y, outside the obvious landmarks, especially with the added speed which blurs things together a bit more.

-Like I said, some facial models/animations kinda dip into uncanny valley territory, at least for me. It's not game breaking, but it could potentially take you out of a scene if you're more bothered by it.

-Less activities/sidequests than the first game (but what's there is very good!)

-This is mildly spoilery, but my biggest complaint with this game is that they got rid of minor but valuable worldbuilding elements like the Twitter-esque social feed or the in-universe character bios. I get that that's a lot of writing that a lot of people are gonna skim or skip, but you want to see people's reactions to the crazy stuff that happens in this game, trust me. Also, if you miss the podcasts or they get cut off when you're swinging around, there's no way to replay them this time around, for some reason? Maybe I just didn't find them?

So, yeah! I think it's an easy 8.5 or 9 out of 10 for me! I had a blast, and even if I don't agree with some of their choices, I respect the hell out of them for making them. Insomniac!Spidey remains my favorite of all the Peters in the Multiverse <3

No, but really. Hi guys! Long time no see.

I see that Tumblr's changed, and believe me I'm re-learning how to use it. xD

So, um...usual life update I guess, you don't have to read this but I have to get this out of my system or I'll go crazy xD.

Honestly I really miss blogging and talking about fandoms, hobbies and whatnot. It's literally been over a year since I last blogged and there's a reason for that: literally no work-life balance at my old job. I say 'old' because I finally quit this year!! I'm really glad to be out of that soul-sucking hellhole xD For reference, I used to work at one of the Big Four accounting firms as an auditor, think hard before going in haha. The pay may be good...but at what cost?

For a while even when I left I couldn't stop thinking about work, I would always worry that there's something that hasn't been finished yet, and believe me at that kind of job the workload is endless Orz. On the plus side I did get experience, but I'm waaayyyy more glad to be out than in, believe me guys, work-life balance is something that everyone should have, I don't know what it's like in other countries (do feel free to share, I'm quite curious) but there's a reason so many foreign professionals choose not to work in Taiwan:

The pay is low. Especially compared to Japan and South Korea. As of now minimum wage is NTD 26,400 (USD 836) per month, and NTD 176 (USD) per hour, the thing is it's seriously not keeping up with inflation here. Bento used to cost NTD 60~70 when I was in college! Now it's NTD 90~100 on average.

Hours are long. Not all jobs are like this, but you are expected to do overtime without additional pay in most.

A lot of bosses here just...don't know leadership skills? Like they know how to work, but are awful at teaching and leading subordinates. Both Mom and I complain that the EQ of some locals is quite low ^^" No seriously, you do something well and somehow it's always your fault xD People here can be too materialistic sometimes and don't spend enough time on enriching themselves and others. It's really the fault of long work hours as well as the cram school culture here.

So yeah..welp.

My new job (accounting staff at a SME) may be lower pay but at least I get to come home earlier now, which honestly is a relief. Also weekends off. You'd be extremely lucky to get a weekend off at the old job xD

In a way, my Dad spoiled our family xD Because he was too nice we got really used to this rosy portrait of Taiwan and the locals xD But yeah, Mom, Bro and I will find ways to carry on.

Well enough about that! I hope everyone's getting on well with their lives, even when it's tough, there are always ways to carry on. ╰(*´︶`*)╯

Some things I've been up to:

You are now looking at a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fan xD JJBA lives in my head rent-free and I don't regret it at all, I want to slap past me for not following JoJo sooner, especially as an avid fan of music and fashion. My brother’s pestering of me to watch it finally came to. I don't read manga, have watched Parts 1~6 (and made my Mom watch it with me ha xD she practically got almost all the music references xD) and am excited for a Part 7 anime!! Which could take forever sadly :( Along with Arcane Season 2, it’s been a while since there’s a show that I really look forward to watching, what with the current state of TV and movies nowadays. Too much on content and not enough on quality or well, basic storytelling even.

But I'm sad that I can't go to JOJO WORLD. QQ I really have a knack for getting into things too late.

My personal ranking: 2>5>3>4>1>6. This is just personal favoritism xD Each part has their own strengths and weaknesses and the writing in later parts is better as Araki has really matured as a mangaka and writer. But Part 2 is amazing. Period. I will not have it any other way. Special mention goes to this guy for simultaneously stealing my heart and *ahem* crushing (sorry) it, I have only cried for him:

2. I got into gaming again! Thank Steam really for letting lots of players save money on not having to buy separate consoles xD I got my brother to help me invest in a good gaming laptop, and it's just lovely. Some of my favorite games:

METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE

I got to experience Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and my god it's a MASTERPIECE. The OST also is just *chef's kiss*. The composer really did a great job with the music. The animation that plays every time Raiden uses Zandatsu is an absolute joy to watch xD My brother introduced this game to me through the memes, and he immediately regretted it when it was all I could talk about for a while xD But god slicing a Metal Gear in two while Rules of Nature plays in the background, how can you not squee?! xD

Mind you this is the tutorial boss xD I highly recommend this game, pure unadulterated adrenaline rush xD It’s so over-the-top and unapologetic, and just damn cool.

SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE

I also beat Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. And as of now, it's still the best sense of achievement that I got from a game, it's the most difficult game I've ever played and let me tell you guys I'm good friends with the death screen xD

The adrenaline rush I got from beating Genichiro for the first time (and throwing the lightning back at him!!) as well as beating Sword Saint Isshin was unreal. At some point, the gameplay for me clicked, and it was immensely satisfying being able to perfectly parry the enemy's attacks. The clanging of swords is a sound that I absolutely love.

Though fuck Demon of Hatred xD. Joke I love the Sculptor character who I affectionately call 'Sculptor Dad' but come on you had to unlearn the game's combat system just to beat him. I agree that he's more of a Dark Souls boss than a Sekiro one.

Well deserving of 2019 Game of the Year 👏

DEVIL MAY CRY V

So you can probably see by now that I love action and hack and slash games xD I used to play Devil May Cry 3 when I was a teenager and even watched the Madhouse anime, the over-the-top-ness and Dante's quips won me over. Dante’s even the whole reason why I tried strawberries and now I love them xD So! It was only natural that I wanted to play DMCV, and I wasn't disappointed.

There’s a total of 4 characters you can play as, each with their own SSStylish gameplay, and I had lots of fun just sending the demons into the air while the extremely enthusiastic cast cheers me on xD

Also V is that Edgy Guy who’s a hit with the ladies xD My brother hates him but I adore him. He even said that I’m a sucker for the “starving artist” types xD Well…

HOW CAN I NOT BE A SUCKER QQ That smirk, dear god.

HADES

You play as this really sexy Prince of Hell with daddy issues.

While Sekiro would frustrate me sometimes with constantly dying, every time I died in Hades it encouraged me to keep on playing, as whenever you die it actually advances the plot and unlocks new dialogue with the various characters, who are based on Greek mythology. If anything the game encourages you to die xD There was a time I was so determined to make it to the surface and when I did it was the next morning already xD

The art by Jen Zee is also just extremely gorgeous, and the OST by Darren Korb (who also voices Zagreus) is amazing. I also recommend Supergiant’s other games Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre. They are one of the best indie game developers out there. They put a lot of heart into their games, which is something a lot of AAA games lack nowadays.

Also I headcanon that Zagreus listens to Coldrain while hacking and slashing through hell. It just seems like a band he would listen to xD

And not to forget, but thank Supergiant for giving the option to romance this really sexy grim reaper xD I'm a sucker for the 'tsundere' types too, and let me tell you every bottle of gifted nectar and ambrosia was worth it. When he finally realized his feelings weren't unnecessary I squeeed.

DISCO ELYSIUM

Last but not least, an underrated gem.

Disco Elysium is one of those games that shouldn’t exist, and boy am I glad that it does.

It’s a choose your adventure game in which you play as a detective trying to solve a murder case with your partner, all the while getting to know the seaside town of Martinaise. Which once you get to explore it, isn't really that big and yet somehow feels huge, there's a whole fictional history that was created for it and for places outside Martinaise even, the worldbuilding for this game is insane. It also seems very real and similar to our own and yet it's all fictional, I really admire that level of detail.

I actually first heard of this game through an artist I follow on Tumblr, who draws True Detective and Disco Elysium fanart. I adore the first season of True Detective and never knew that MartyxRust does things to me. Read reviews about this so-called "True Detective/The Wire-inspired" game and was sold.

Also the developers really hit it out of the park with Kim Kitsuragi, god I love Kim 😭 One of the best companions that you can have out there. Whenever I felt bad and by extension made my player character feel bad (the game is choice-based, there's even an achievement called 'World's Sorriest Cop' xD), Kim would always be helpful and encouraging and god just the sweetest.

The humor in the game is also something I just found so charming, and the voice acting is perfect for every character, I find myself having fun mimicking the voices a lot. I kept pestering my brother to play this game, and his Evrart Claire impression is so spot-on, I myself like to impersonate the Fritte clerk with my 'm'kays' xD

Oh, and you can start a nightclub at a church. And believe me when you experience this scene in the game, it is glorious.

3. I had one of those 'happiest days in your life' moments: I went to see the GazettE's MASS final concert in Japan!! And the crazy thing is I specifically flew in just to see them, I was there in Japan for the concert and went home the next day. At the time I had booked my airline ticket thinking I would still be clocking in to my old job on Monday and well, I never thought I would quit xD

And silly me never thought that even Japanese trains could be late (the local trains at least), I was almost late to the 05:30 PM assembly time xD

By the time I got to the Budokan I was confused by the lack of banners and signs at the entrance at first, then I saw this procession of people in black heading to MASS (ha) and just knew. xD

And I thought I was the only one silly enough to fly to another country for a concert, then I heard Mandarin, English, Spanish in the crowd and thought: 'ah, music really brings people together'. It was beautiful.

Seeing the bouquet with the 'From overseas fans (Overseas fans より)' made me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Too shy to take my own picture xD But glad to know I'm not the only one extremely happy to be there.

I tried to take a picture of this Uruha banner and it just kept flapping in the wind like Uruha during the heavier songs, so I just gave up xD

The setlist for that night, when they played Miseinen (未成年) I think I started tearing up QQ Frankly the whole night was so surreal I couldn't stop thinking about what I experienced on my way back to the hotel. And I stayed at a capsule hotel for the first time! Specifically this one.

The song they played after the concert was an instrumental version of Knockin' On Heaven's Door, and it was absolutely lovely. They even teased a trailer for a new release next year(!!) and a trailer for their Christmas concert A HYMN OF THE CRUCIFIXION ver.2

Their trailers are needless to say, cinematic. I'm sad that they removed all their older trailers off YouTube though :(

As of writing this, there are still stuff I want to share and fangirl about, but unfortunately I have to wake up to a job tomorrow xD If I could, I'd spend my days just doing what I love and not having to deal with stupidity at work. I just want to say I'm glad that there are things in life to enjoy and make going through the daily grind even just a bit easier :)

ELLE NISHINO

General Opinion over said character: so much unending love in my heart!!! I did not know what to expect going into the game. she was so mysterious and had so very little to her name at the start but the more we learned the more I got attached and both of us have this funny little thing with kuromaya that they're her self inserted stage parents because of how much she loves maya. it's so cute. she's so cute!! her entire story with frontier tugged on my heart like crazy and was just so special to me. she's a fantastic character too i love the dreamscape and the trope of her stories coming to life, it's such a shame that's all they did with her, left her to the main story and there she stays. i hope in the future they at least give us another card or two with her in it, maybe like a memoir or something. i felt like what she set up for everyone was really important given everything, so it's a little sad to see that arc over already!! i'm rambling but all in all i think she's a wonderful addition to the stage girl roster and I thought what they did with her story was incredibly fun and new, albeit a bit strange at first going into everything especially with all the changes after the anime but I really think she deserving of more love from the dev team and people in general ! Elle is like the brooke page of revue starlight

Gender Headcanon: transgender!! transmasc or transfem, it could literally go either way to me, it changes daily because both make sense. any pronouns or simply a he/her or a she/him!

A ship I have with said character: loving attachments to suzu / mahiru and "traffic light trio" (suzu/hisame/koharu) you honestly cannot make me choose ♡

A BROTP I have with said character: Suzu and Sakura!! Suzu and Mahiru!! Suzu and Hisame/Koharu!! Suzu and Karen/Hikari!! Suzu and Claudine, Suzu and Futaba, Suzu and the siegfeld juniors !!! the list goes on and on for sure she's so lovable and tries to befriend everyone, she has an infectious laugh and a charismatic personality. those by name stand out to me the most given their bond stories or interactions in the stage plays :3

A NOTP I have with said character: Suzu and Sakura is a personal one, and obviously pairings that are gross to ship (juniors or teachers). otherwise I don't think any of them would be inherently weird or "bad" to ship! haven't given it much thought!

A random headcanon: I think that while suzu loooves giving nicknames she's absolutely abysmal at terms of endearment and pet names. she's not necessarily bad at romance and compliments, she's very charismatic, kind, and even a bit touchy by nature, but she can be veeerrrryyy unserious and it definitely comes out when she's flustered, backed into a corner, or nervous (ie; flirting with someone she has feelings for or having embarrassed herself in front of them). she has a lot of humility though and bounces back very quickly, able to try again whether or not it was successful! and anyone she's pining after definitely has a soft spot for it, and wouldn't change it for the world.

General Opinion over said character: oh. my. gosh! i love all 3 of the seiran girls so so so much Blue Glitter literally changed me as a person fundamentally i think. Live #2 did as well obviously and of course, but Blue Glitter and Delight........ ough. all 3 of them get the short end of the stick in the game and that's okay. they get a whole manga adapt and multiple stage performances, so I can let it slide. though I'm glad suzu was able to get some well deserved attention in Rebellion! both on the stage *and* in the game! another fantastic story btw, read it when you have the chance if you haven't! but yes yes, suzu. she's so silly, earnest and innocent, she's such a people person and someone i truly think everyone needs in their life! i've been thinking about her (and hisame) more recently, more than usual, and idk! idk i get sentimental, don't tell anyone. but I love them both a lot, suzu is no exception, and I genuinely think the kind of character she is and her dynamics with the others is so good. she's such a good character!!!!!!!!!!!!! everything with mahiru is just!!!! augh!!!! um waiter, more seiran please .

8 Shows to Get to Know Me

The rules seem pretty simple, just to list 8 shows to get to know me. Some people have explanations and some don't so we'll see.

There are many shows I wanted to add on this list because I love them so much but this isn't a list of my favorite shows. This is supposed to tell something about me. So I tried to pick the shows that I relate to, was obsessed with, used to watch as a kid or just for the ✨ vibes ✨

1. Koisenu Futari

This is one show I relate to the most because I'm aroace. Both Sakuko and Takahashi are aroace and want to live together because they feel lonely by themselves. It's a really great show that just has 2 people figure out how to make their own version of a family in a world where everyone expects you to marry and have children. People like us can feel lost as to what the future might look like because there isn't a path we can follow. Nobody tells us what a happy life might look like if you don't have and don't want a partner so Sakuko and Takahashi are new to this form of family they're trying to create. They want to create something that works for them but nobody around the has similar lives so they have to figure it out all on their own.

2. Bad Buddy

I'm not gay or bi or pan, I'm aroace which means that while I love BL, I don't really relate to it so I didn't want to put many on this list. But Bad Buddy was such a great experience that it deserves a place on this list. This show aired episodes weekly and I love love love everything we did during the week we had to wait for a new episode. People were analyzing Everything from the colors to the dialogue to the music. And I read every single post. Every Friday I would mute the Clown Server on Discord until I could watch the episode. I love how we all talked about the new episode for hours. I would come home and watch the episode and we would still be talking about new points even when I went to bed. Even in the morning I would wake up to new messages. It was amazing.

3. Kieta Hatsukoi / My Love Mix-Up!

A BL that is not often on anyone's favorites list but it is on mine. The leads don't kiss but that doesn't really matter to me because it's a really cute show. It's the way Aoki and Hashimoto have the best friendship and support each other even when they thought they liked the same guy. It's how Ida doesn't understand love and is figuring that out very respectfully. He's really giving Aoki a real chance. He's trying to figure out if he likes Aoki without any moment of internalized homophobia. And also he's demiro in my book and I love him for that.

4. Heartstopper

I love love love the Heartstopper comic. I read it and reread it and rereread it even before the show was even announced. The show itself was everything I hoped for and it was amazing and perfect. I love Isaac of course who is our aroace icon. I'm so glad Alice decided to put him in the group since she had to erase Aled (love you). The second season has apparently big aroace plans for him so excited about that! I love the friendship in this show, they're all so sweet and lovely. I love Nick and Charlie who have such a good, healthy relationship. I love Nick's mom and how she supports her son.

5. Yuri On Ice

Yes we were born to make history! Another show I was obsessed with and I loved the experience of watching it just as much as the anime itself. Just like with Bad Buddy I would be on tumblr reading posts about those freaking rings and the kiss and everyone went crazy over all of that and it was amazing. I still remember watching the preview for episode 10 (I think?) and watching Everyone go crazy over the possibility that the something round and gold could be rings. Or! Would it be a gold medal? We didn't know but we sure as hell had a fun time freaking out about the possibilities.

6. Your Name / Kimi no Na Wa

This one has to be on the list even though it's a movie. I've watched this movie so many times, it's basically my personality. The art and animation is gorgeous, like wow it's so pretty and smooth, I love it. The way Taki and Mitsuha never met but they came to care for each other and care for the lives they lived in each other's bodies. Taki loves Mitsuha's family and wants to do everything in his power to save them. Also can I talk about the music? Radwimps is such a great choice for this movie, they make beautiful music for this kind of music.

7. Natsume Yuujinchou / Natsume's Book of Friends

Another anime I really love. This one has 6 seasons and it's still not enough. I love this show for it's slice of life feel with a supernatural twist. It's a very slow show where not much happens on the surface but every episode has a nice story. It's lovely to see that Natsume warms up to his new family. The first time he has a family that really, truly cares about him and doesn't tell him he's crazy. Only a few anime make me want to read the manga and this is one of them.

8. Avatar The Last Airbender

I used to watch this show as a kid with my dad. We both love it, it's a very beautiful show. It has a clear story overall but also great individual episodes. It has funny moments but also serious ones. It's a bunch of teenagers going on an adventure to save the world, what's not to love? And then there is Zuko with uncle Iroh who have the best redemption arc and some of the best lines in the show. Iconic duo. Anyways, when do I get my magic water powers?

Crucible of War readthrough

I feel like doing another round of short story reviews, this time for a much shorter collection I have on my 40k bookshelf.

In this case the Crucible of War anthology from 2003, edited by Marc Gascoigne and Christian Dunn.

Sadly the cover is nowhere near as a good as the last one.

Not much to say about this one, it has no foreword to speak of, only a pair of quick samples of some of the stories on offer before the usual 40k universe blurb. But in comparison, it only has ten stories in total. So this will be a relatively short thread of me reviewing them.

1. Liberation day by Matthew Farrer & Edward Rusk. The anthology opens strong, with a story about escaped slaves onboard of a space hulk or ship, fighting their Ork captors while holding out of a rescue. A really good read, slow sections interspersed with shots of action. There's even some nice allusions to the Imperial citizens lack of knowledge about the wider universe, as some things the viewer takes for granted know is either dismissed or new information. The ending is also deliciously ironic in a very well executed manner.

2. The Curiosity by Dan Abnett. This is one of those stories where the plot twist has somehow stuck around in the deep recesses of my memory. Despite it being at least a decade since I read it. But I had definitely forgotten the air of horror and mystery that oozes from the prose. It feels a bit like a fish out of the water story, of someone being, and doing, something they're not really suited for.

It's one of those stories that would've been excellent for a Hammer & Bolter episode. It has the correct length and pacing for a 15 to 25 minute animated short. Without having to change much. There is probably one bit I would've altered that, on a second reading, makes the ending twist a bit too obvious. But beyond that tiny detail, it would've worked just fine.

3. Payback by Graham McNeill. I honestly didn't expect a semi-sequel to a Gav Thorpe story that was featured in Let the Galaxy Burn (it's Suffer not the unclean to live. Which was utterly forgettable.) It's set on the same planet, and features one of the side characters from the story as well. In comparison, this one was a more interesting read. Nowhere near as good, or schlocky as the Snowdow story from the same anthology, but even then it feels like c-grade 80's revenge movie from start to finish. Featuring a deal gone wrong, the hero heavily wounded and saved by someone else, followed by them seeking revenge, and getting their money back. It begins and ends with a fight in a brothel, just to set the tone of it. There is an attempt by McNeill to come out of a lurid in some descriptions of the mutant dancers/strippers, but it doesn't go all the way and just ends up kind of funny.

4. The Emperor's Will by David Charters. It feels like every author that does something for Black Library wants, at some point, to do one of those stories where they show that not every planet lost to the Imperium is won back through brutal warfare or subversion. And then sprinkle some extra irony on top of that by using Space Marines as the vessel to do so. It works, but the prose meanders like crazy and at times and the ending is very "Congratulations" *applause* where it feels like everyone would be slapping the main character on the back for what they've done.

5. Fight or Flight by Sandy Mitchell. It's the Ciaphas Cain origin story essentially. He's fresh out of schola, not really a hero and gets assigned to his first regiment and encounters Gunner Jurgen. Not much else to say about it, it's enjoyable. You can see the basic skeleton of Cain story in it, but it lacks the same level of polish compared to the books. Also, I think Cain is even more craven in this one than he is later on. Fully admitting to using manipulation in a less self aggrandising fashion and more exploitive. Not to mention coming off as more cowardly as well.

6. On Mournful Wings by Simon Spurrier. Haven't read that much dealing directly with the way various Space Marine chapters do their recruitment process. On top of my head I can only remember this short story, and the Marneus Calgar comic dealing with it directly. This one deals with the Doom Eagles, and there is definitely a lot of doom and gloom going around. It's not bad, but can feel a bit much at times.

Something that is interesting to me is that, to an outsider the whole recruitment process is needlessly cruel and overwrought. While someone in the fanbase would just shrug at it more or less, since it's a part of the setting a sense. And then not think about the logistical issues.

But then again, the moment you start thinking about logistics in 40k, a lot of things start to fall apart at the seams. So probably for the best that you don't.

7. Backcloth For A Crown Additional by Dan Abnett. I'll be honest here, this one isn't even a 40k story. It's a supernatural detective story set in the quaint English countryside. The whole thing is one step away from telling you how well done the roast mutton steak was, and how delightful the pudding and sherry dessert was afterwards.

I mean yes, it is a 40k story, featuring Eisenhorn and Bequin. But it is also more or less what I just described. But everything mundane has been replaced by sci-fi things to make things different enough. And one of his retinue members dying randomly, because that's seemingly required or something.

I know being recruited into a Inquisitorial retinue is essentially death sentence. But I feel like when you join Eisenhorn, you're pretty much screwed from the start. Frankly I'd rather just work for Ravenor if that's the case. Or Amberley. I would rattle of more Inquisitors better than Eisenhorn, even before he went all chaos-y, but my memory fails me.

8. Firestarter by Jonathan Green. This story made me realise that the previous anthology lacked stories set in Necromunda. Which was a bit of a shame, since it's a great place to tell slightly offbeat stories. This one is passable, the main character feels too good at his job and just smugs around too much. Also it oddly enough just glosses over the fact they dumped an ork in the underhive surprisingly fast. But readable nonetheless.

9. Warp Spawn by Matt Ralphs. This one, interestingly enough, feels too short for its own good. There is a good solid ground for a longer horror type story about a crew stuck in the warp with a monster on board. Especially when it's also a smaller ship, and not an Imperial Navy cruiser or something. It's just a 'small' cargo ship. But once everything kicks off it happens too fast and then it's just over. It does come with a good ironic twist ending. It's not bad, but the fast pace does it no good and the prose could need some extra punch at times to truly shine.

10. Leviathan by Graham McNeill. It's funny how every story I've read that in some fashion involves Space Marines on a space hulk features either Orks, or Genestealer, or Tyranids. And barely anything in between that. In this case it's all three.

Never read much about Uriel Ventris. It's this novella and a comic in one the graphic novel collections I have at most. Which is fine by me, as its emblematic of the most boring kind of Bolter porn. And just a reminder why I skip Marine stories, unless there's a good author attached to it. I can count the number of marine books I've read on my fingers. This story is stale like week old bread. The prose barely passes an okay standard, especially early on where Uriel thinks constantly about his fight with the Nightbringer to an almost silly degree. It's readable, but it's also just so unimaginative and lacks any kind of pull to it. The fact it somehow trying to make a big deal that there are genestealers on a space hulk, trying to use it as a plot twist to ramp up the action, is just silly.

But that's Crucible of War Won't really offer much of an elaborate breakdown on it. Only to say that overall I liked it more than Let the Galaxy burn. There's a far higher concentration of good, readable stories in this one. Compared to having to wade through a mire of bland and unremarkable fiction in the big one, before you find something really good.

I'd give it a solid B+ It still has the same issues as before, far too Imperium focused in terms of POVs. But it does shine slightly more when offering far more diverse cast of characters.

Also, there's not a single Gav Thorpe story in this one. Thankfully.

i (kind of) watched the knuckles show so you don’t have to and this is why i think a shadow spinoff show would be one of the worst decisions paramount could make.

word on the street says that shadow might get his own spinoff show OR a movie, depending on how well sonic 3 does, and may i enlighten yall on how horrible a shadow spinoff show would be.

last week i spent the worst $15 i’ve ever spent in my life on The Knuckles Show™️

i knew nothing about that show, my mistake for not doing my research, other than it came out earlier this year. i went in fully expecting a knuckles centric show with the addition of sonic, tails, maybe tom, and maddie showing up periodically every episode.

boy was i wrong.

episode 1 gave me false hope. knuckles, sonic, tails, and maddie all showed up, tom was “out of town” go figure, but it wasn’t anything incredibly disappointing it was quite cute actually. knuckles is getting used to living on earth and maddie grounds him for constantly harassing people and ruining her house. sonic tries to console him and give him advice. cute. cool. whatever. i’m eating this up.

but then it does a complete 180 and while knuckles is meditating on sonics words he asks for a sign and the ghost of some great chief from his tribe comes in through the sun roof of their room and literally points at a photo of wade on the local newspaper and essentially says “make him a warrior” then suddenly you’re watching wade try to beat his dad, who left him in a jcpennys or some shit, at a bowling tournament and apparently his dad is the best in the league and is considered a god to everyone in the bowling community. but then wade and knuckles go to wades mothers house and you learn about how his family is jewish and his sister is a cocky asshole who works for the fbi and his mother is tired of everyone’s bs and they’re all weirdly okay with knuckles being there?

and while all of this is happening some chic and her sidekick who works for G.U.N are trying to track down knuckles for his quills so she can give them to some guy in a warehouse who makes these overpowered weapons??? and apparently everyone from gun tracks team sonic?? and there’s also some biker that was the leader of wades bowling team and he hates wade and kicks him off the team and there’s dance segments and like IDK WHATS HAPPENING

the writers were very clearly on something writing that script.

the thing is, i actually thought the knuckles show™️ was fun and silly and boring at times but overall not the worst thing in existence.

what DOES upset me is the fact that it was advertised as a “Watch knuckles go on this fun adventure!” supposedly for children, when it basically could’ve been titled “The Wade Show (ft knuckles)” that i don’t think is catered towards any specific audience i’ll be honest

it’s the expectation they lead you to have, you go in expecting everything to be about knuckles but it’s NOT. ITS FRUSTRATING. at least that’s what i was lead to believe sue me!

and before anyone comes at me I KNOW it’s expensive and hard to animate 3 characters + special effects for a 6 episode series that’s roughly 30 minutes long per episode + ON TOP OF THAT have big name actors in it too.

I. KNOW.

however it could’ve been done far better with the budget they had and i will DIE on that hill.

now.

shadow spinoff show.

ZONT ZO IT PARAMOUNT.

if it’s going to be anything like the knuckles show™️ please just drop the idea entirely.

i don’t want to watch shadow and maybe, idk, agent stone? (not too much on my boy stone i love that dude) or maybe they introduce a new human character, do whatever tf after the events of sonic 3 and build a completely useless storyline that won’t hold any weight or have any importance in the 4th movie.

maybe i’m crazy (i am) and care too much (i do) but it would be insulting to shadow’s character as a whole. i know that knuckles is supposed to be the goofy comedic relief character, but even the knuckles show felt insulting to him!

shadow has one of the most interesting backstories and how they crafted his story in the 3rd movie is too grand to waste on a stupid spinoff.

the spinoff would be amazing and fantastic if it’s centered around shadow, either shows what he’ll do after sonic 3 OR they show what happened from him falling from the sky to what happened on gerald’s base before maria was killed for more insight on his life, And all of that translated into the 4th movie.

but if they do what they did for knuckles i’d rather just wait a few more years for a movie so they can do all of that (+ more) perfectly. especially if shadow isn’t present for sonic 4, which unfortunately is a possibility considering amy and metal sonic are now apart of the universe.

genuinely who’s dick would i have to suck in order for us to get a decently good spinoff show?

idk i’m not the writers, i don’t know what they have planned, so if a spinoff shadow show does happen it could actually be really good! who knows! im also not normal about shadow the hedgehog so if paramount puts him in stupid situations with stupid characters, like they did with knuckles, i will be so devastated.

paramount please hear my prayers and give us a shadow movie. please.
