10DANCE - Upcoming JBL Film
Based on the manga by Inouesatoh, "10DANCE" is being adapted into a film by Netflix, coming in 2025.
Shinya Suzuki (Ryoma Takeuchi) is the Japanese champion of Latin Dance, while Shinya Sugiki (Keita Machida) is the Japanese champion and second-ranked dancer in Standard Ballroom in the world. They are often compared to each other because of their similar names despite dancing in different categories, which frustrates the competitive Suzuki. One day, Suzuki receives a surprise when Sugiki asks him to team up and win the 10-Dance Competition. The 10-Dance is a competition in which top dancers perform five varieties of Latin Dance and five varieties of Standard Ballroom. Knowing how difficult it would be, Suzuki initially rejects Sugiki's proposal to teach each other their respective styles and compete on the world stage, but Sugiki's provocative attitude sparks Suzuki's competitive spirit and spurs him to begrudgingly accept. The two men's opposite personalities clash as they devote themselves to daily lessons, but they grow steadily closer over time. Before long, Suzuki realizes he has started developing a romantic attraction to Sugiki.

Hey, if you never hear from me again it is because I got lost getting to/from my hotel room and am now trapped
I’m honestly not sure I captured all the twists and turns
#you lost me a little at the fourth pic to the very narrow looking hallway that almost looks like a hidden passage#and then a little more when you went down the stairs just to go up again afterwards#this place is trying to make you work out

and they still think live action httyd will be a cinematic improvement on the original... They can't even do basic cinema right.
why am i supposed to look at his wings? at his ribs? the rock in the background or the ferns?
then compare that to the original...
there's a focus ABOVE hiccup, who just had a fish dropped onto his lap and is shying away the other two focus points are both entirely on key points on toothless, which are his polite ass sitting position and his general head area. then there's the empty space which allows you to not only breathe a little in this scene, but also fully take in the absurdity of a DRAGON not only sparing a boy's life in the middle of a valley, but also feeding him. there's literally no one around to help him.
and that's not even mentioning how the original had a stronger and more visually compelling contrast between the dark foreground and the light stones of the background, creating a clear and readable scene. why did they try to make the foreground LIGHTER in the live action remake when they knew they couldn't make a clear contrast with a dark dragon on a dark background...

Are glasses (the type you wear on your face to correct your eyesight) in your native language a plural or singular?
In my native language (dutch) we say it's one item, it's called "bril" and it's singular. English says "glasses", and it's plural. I hope i made it clear.
I think the difference is that english refers to the actual two glasses in there, and dutch refers to the one object as a whole. And I'm curious about other languages!
Poll options:
- my native language is english, so it's plural
- native language is not English, but it's still plural
- native language is not english or dutch, and its singular
- my native language is dutch, so it's singular!
