It was almost the end of Cami's shift when Klaus and Marcel walked into Rousseau's, the former looking unusually grim. Cami was used to seeing them bickering and bantering, but the atmosphere between the two was tense and charged. They sat down at the far end of the bar, and Marcel leaned over, grabbing a bottle and two glasses, pouring the drinks with an air of forced casualness. Klaus sat with his shoulders slumped, a frown creasing his brow, his fingers tapping anxiously against the countertop.
"You have to pay for that," Cami pointed out, a teasing smile playing on her lips, her hands busy cleaning glasses.
Neither of them smiled back, their expressions serious, and the smile faded from her face. "Okay, what's going on?" she asked, setting the glass down and walking over, her gaze shifting between them.
Marcel hesitated, exchanging a glance with Klaus, before sighing. "It's about Elijah," he said finally, his voice low.
"How is he?" she asked, concern coloring her tone. He had been seeped in grief since your death, and it was hard to see him like that.
"Not well," Marcel replied, rubbing his temples.
Klaus’s hand wrapped around his drink, his knuckles turning white. "He won’t speak, eat, drink," he said, his voice rough, his anger barely contained. "All he does is sit by the window, staring into space."
"Can you blame him?" Cami asked softly, her expression mirroring the grief in her voice. You had been a light in the family, always finding ways to bring them together, and she missed you, too.
"No," Klaus growled, taking a large gulp of his drink. He set it down so hard that tiny cracks formed on the surface of the bar. "That’s why I have to find who did this."
Cami nodded, looking at Marcel. "Any leads?"
Marcel shook his head, an edge of frustration in his voice. "Nothing. All of my connections… they’re either too afraid to talk, or Elijah already found them first." He hesitated, then added, "Including every last member of the Strix."
Cami’s eyes widened, the full weight of the statement sinking in. "He killed… all of them?"
Marcel nodded. "Anyone he thought might be involved, he left dead. Half of them didn’t even know her name."
Klaus slammed his hand down on the counter, anger sparking again. "This is unacceptable," he hissed. "We have nothing but Elijah’s trail of bodies. It’s like the killer is a ghost… we don’t even have a description, not even a name."
"So… no witnesses, no surveillance," Cami muttered, trying to think.
"No magical trace, no scent," Klaus added, his voice filled with frustration.
Cami tapped her fingers against the bar, her brow furrowing as an idea formed in her mind. She braced herself, knowing Klaus wouldn't like it but deciding to speak up anyway. "What if… what if it wasn’t a member of the supernatural community?"
Klaus turned, his gaze darkening. "Cami… she died with a stake in her chest."
"So? I didn’t say they didn’t know about the supernatural, just that they might not be part of it," she countered, crossing her arms and meeting his gaze.
Klaus sighed, leaning back in his seat. "They broke her bones, Camille. All of them," he said flatly, his voice devoid of emotion. "A human couldn’t do that."
"A group of humans could," Cami replied, her gaze flickering between the two vampires. Neither looked convinced.
"Why would humans target her?" Marcel asked, skepticism lacing his voice.
"Why not?" She shot back, her eyes narrowing. "You feed and kill a lot of humans, Marcel. Maybe someone got revenge."
Marcel flinched, a flash of guilt in his eyes.
Klaus’s jaw tensed, his fingers tightening around his glass. "But why her?" he said quietly, his voice low and strained. "Why not go after me, or one of the others?"
"Maybe because she was the weakest link," Cami said gently, hating how it sounded even as she spoke.
Marcel sighed, rubbing his forehead. "It’s… not a terrible theory, Cami. Especially if we’re dealing with someone who had something personal against her."
Klaus's gaze shifted, staring into the distance, his expression troubled. "We’re missing a piece of the puzzle. I just know it," he muttered, his voice distant.
"Well, there is another option," Cami said quietly, an idea flashing into her mind.
Klaus turned, his eyes meeting hers with a slight challenge in them. "And what would that be, love?"
"Go to the police?" she suggested, her voice firm despite the tension in the air.
"What?" Marcel and Klaus blurted out, identical expressions of confusion and shock on their faces. Klaus began to laugh, his entire body shaking with mirth. "You’re hilarious, Camille," he gasped, tears of laughter streaming down his face.
"No, no, I’m not joking," she retorted, her expression unflinching. "You could talk to the police, tell them that your sister-in-law was killed. You could offer a reward, get them to really investigate."
Klaus and Marcel exchanged glances, neither looking keen.
"And what can they find that we can’t?" Klaus asked, his expression souring.
"Forensic evidence," Cami said immediately. "Traces that can lead them to the killer."
"And then what? They go to prison?" Klaus chuckled, shaking his head.
"If they’re human, yes," Cami replied firmly, crossing her arms.
"And if it’s not a human? How will the police catch a vampire or a witch?" Klaus challenged, his brow arching in skepticism.
"They won’t," Cami admitted, a flicker of uncertainty crossing her face. "But it's worth a shot?”
Klaus shook his head, his tone brooking no argument. "Absolutely not."
"Niklaus…" Marcel began, his voice trailing off when he caught sight of the fury in Klaus’s gaze.
"The only thing the police will do is get in the way," Klaus said, his voice cold and final.
"In the way of what? You aren’t doing anything," Cami shot back, her own temper rising. "Sitting here drinking and wallowing isn’t going to find who killed her."
Klaus rose to his full height, his anger flaring, casting an intense shadow over the dim bar lighting.
"Woah, woah, relax," Marcel interjected, sensing a fight brewing. "We are not getting anywhere arguing."
Klaus sighed, his shoulders relaxing slightly. "You can try it your way, Camille. Go tell the cops," he muttered, waving his hand dismissively.
"And you can go do whatever it is you do," Cami shot back, grabbing her phone from her pocket and speed-dialing the number.
Klaus watched her walk away, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully, before turning to Marcel. "Have someone tail her. If she gets in over her head, intervene."
"What are you going to do?" Marcel asked, his voice laced with curiosity.
"Finish this bottle, then that one over there… and possibly that one," he said, gesturing toward the collection of bottles behind the bar.
Marcel sighed, lifting his glass and clinking it against Klaus’s. "You can count me in."
13th Century Europe
As soon as the sun began to set, you climbed out of your window, heart pounding as you crossed the convent grounds and took the path leading to the forest. Shadows stretched over the path, but you kept moving, quickening your pace to ease your nerves. You were going to meet Elijah, the thought filling you with both a heady thrill and a quiver of fear.
Ever since the day in the field, when he had kissed you, and you had kissed him back, everything had changed. He had begun attending church, sitting near the back during Mass, his dark eyes meeting yours, his gaze a gentle, knowing promise. After the service, he would linger, waiting until the others had left, stealing quiet moments with you, his hand brushing yours, his soft words dissolving your willpower. The guilt weighed on you, but the pleasure, the anticipation… it was overpowering.
Tonight was different. Tonight, you would meet away from prying eyes and listening ears, beyond the convent walls. The trees loomed before you, their branches dark and skeletal against the fading twilight. You took a shaky breath, then heard soft footsteps from behind. You turned to see Elijah stepping out from the shadows, his gaze warm and intense.
"I thought perhaps you’d changed your mind,” he murmured, his words wrapped in mischief.
“Maybe I should have,” you replied, a blush warming your cheeks.
He chuckled softly, the sound curling through you like smoke. “Shall we?” he asked, extending his hand. Without hesitation, you placed your hand in his, letting him lead you deeper into the forest. The last of the sun’s light filtered through the trees, casting dappled shadows over the earth.
The excitement fluttered in your chest, but as you glanced back toward the convent, doubt slipped in, and you resisted the urge to cross yourself. As the night deepened, you reached a small clearing where moonlight streamed through the branches, illuminating the grass in silvery light.
“This is beautiful,” you breathed, looking up at the stars. They seemed brighter than ever, as if they had appeared just for you.
He nodded, pulling a blanket from his bag and laying it on the ground. He sat down, patting the space beside him, his hand beckoning you.
You sank down next to him, the warmth of his body soothing, calming the flutter of anxiety within you.
He wrapped an arm around your shoulders, his lips brushing your temple. "Are you alright?"
"Yes," you replied, letting out a long breath, the tension leaving your body.
"Good," he murmured, his fingers trailing along your arm.
You leaned into his touch, enjoying the feel of his skin against yours. "I can't believe we're doing this," you admitted, your voice barely a whisper.
He chuckled, the sound sending a thrill through you. "Doing what?"
"Sneaking out," you said, smiling shyly.
"There's no sin in two people spending time together," he said, his tone laced with amusement.
“But there is a reason we’re hiding,” you replied softly, thoughts of the convent creeping in. “If the villagers knew…if Mother Mathilde knew…”
“Then let them know,” he murmured, though his tone turned more serious. “Life’s blessings should not be squandered in fear. Sometimes, it’s worth the risk.”
You thought of the sermons, the warnings, the fear of losing God’s favor. Yet, as you looked into Elijah’s eyes, something inside you rebelled, a longing to believe that this closeness, this love, was a blessing.
You distracted your trembling hands by digging inside your bag, pulling out some dried fruit, cheese, some wine you borrowed from the church, and a special treat you'd been saving. Elijah chuckled as he watched you lay the food out, a grin on his face.
"What?" You asked, blushing.
"You brought all of this?" He replied, raising an eyebrow.
"Of course," you said, the flush in your cheeks deepening.
Elijah took a piece of dried apple, chewing it thoughtfully. "What is that?" he teased, pointing at some dried mushroom caps.
"Special mushrooms," you replied, your heart pounding. "They make everything feel more...real,"
"Oh, really?" Elijah asked, a playful smile spreading across his face, "Show me,"
Your hand shook slightly as you took a piece, placing it on his tongue. He closed his mouth, the muscles in his jaw flexing, a hint of a smirk on his face.
You took another piece, placing it in your own mouth, the earthy taste filling your senses. You chewed slowly, savoring the flavor, a warm, tingling sensation spreading through your body.
"And the church allows this?" he asked.
You shook your head. "They would be furious if they knew,"
"So it's a sin to eat these?" He teased, popping another one in his mouth.
"I think it brings me closer to God," you said, smiling.
"Mmm," he chewed, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Perhaps."
"Well?" You asked, the suspense too much to bear.
He swallowed, his gaze meeting yours. "Interesting," he murmured, the corners of his mouth twitching.
You smiled, relieved that he seemed to like them. "Try the wine,"
He took the bottle, uncorking it and taking a long swig. "Not bad," he said, handing it back to you.
You took a drink, the sweetness coating your tongue, the warmth of the alcohol spreading through your veins. The cold night air seemed to fade, replaced by a feeling of contentment.
You ate the rest of the food, the conversation flowing easily. You told him stories of the convent, the sisters, and your childhood. The world around you becoming a bit hazy, the trees moving with the wind, the moonlight casting a soft glow on the forest floor.
Elijah was a good listener, his eyes never leaving yours. He was charming and witty, his humor making you laugh, his presence making you feel safe.
As the night wore on, the wine and the mushrooms made you feel bolder, loosening your inhibitions. You were lying on the blanket, looking up at the stars, the night air cool against your skin. You curled up against him, feeling his warmth as you rested your head on his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart.
"Being with you, it feels right," you confessed, tracing patterns on his chest.
He hummed in agreement, his arm tightening around you.
You closed your eyes, savoring the feeling of closeness, the sense of connection. It was a feeling unlike any other, one that filled you with a deep contentment, a peace you had never known before. You had searched for this feeling in God for so long, but it was Elijah who had given it to you.
"Do you see that?" he asked, pointing at a cluster of stars. "It's the great bear, it holds the brightest star in the sky,"
You smiled, watching the constellation, the stars seeming to dance across the sky. "Tell me more," you said, nestling closer.
"It’s a protector, a guardian watching over us.” His gaze lingered on the constellation, his expression distant.
You watched him, captivated by his words, by the passion in his voice.
"I used to look at the stars when I was a boy," he said, his voice soft. "My mother taught me their names, and their stories. I would sit with her for hours, listening as she told me tales of gods and heroes, of quests and battles."
"How very pagan of you," you teased.
He chuckled, the sound vibrating through his chest. "I suppose so," he mused.
You glanced up at him, seeing a hint of sorrow in his eyes. "Where is she now?"
"Dead," he said simply, his gaze fixed on the sky.
"I'm sorry," you murmured, a wave of sadness washing over you.
"It was a long time ago," he replied, his tone detached.
You sat in silence for a moment, the air heavy with sadness and regret. You had no family, none that you remembered, that pain had been dulled by the passing years. But his felt raw, still fresh.
He looked at you, a sad smile on his face. "I didn't come here to burden you with my sorrows,"
"It's not a burden," you protested, shifting to meet his gaze.
He smiled, the sadness fading. "Perhaps not," he murmured.
You began to shiver as the night grew colder, the thin fabric of your habit doing little to protect you from the elements. Elijah noticed, pulling off his cloak and draping it over your shoulders. The warmth of his body lingered on the fabric, his scent enveloping you.
"I'll build a fire," he said, rising to his feet.
You watched as he gathered the materials, his movements quick and efficient. You marveled at his skill, the ease with which he created the flame, the flames dancing across the dry leaves.
"Aren't you afraid someone will see?" You asked, worried about the smoke and the light.
He chuckled, shaking his head. "No," he replied, settling down beside you.
You felt the warmth of the flames, the cold night air forgotten. You looked up, seeing the stars again, the constellations shimmering above.
"I wonder what the stars are made of," you mused, staring up at the vast expanse of the night sky.
"Hmm, perhaps the same things as we are," he said softly.
"Flesh and blood and bone?"
"Yes, and water and air,"
You nodded, a thoughtful expression on your face. "Do you think God is a star?"
He laughed, his gaze fixed on the dancing flames. "Perhaps, it's a pleasant thought, isn't it?"
"Mmm, to think of him looking down on us, guiding us," you sighed, a contented smile on your face.
Elijah smiled, a melancholy look in his eyes. "That would be a nice thought indeed."
The two of you lapsed into silence, the fire crackling, the air thick with the scent of wood smoke. You sat curled up together, watching the stars and enjoying the night.
"Will you tell me a story?" You asked, glancing up at him.
He smiled, a look of surprise on his face. "A story?"
"Yes, like the ones you used to hear, about the star gods," you pressed, eager to learn more about him.
He chuckled and got to his feet, walking over to the fire and stoking it, sending sparks dancing into the night.
"There once was a great goddess, with many mortal children, who she loved with all her heart. But one day, one of her mortal children died at the hands of a beast, and the goddess was filled with grief. She set out to avenge her child, and in her grief she created a weapon, a blade that could cut through the very fabric of the universe."
You watched him, enthralled by his voice, by the story he was telling.
"With this blade she wanted to protect her children, but instead, she ended up dooming them. The goddess stole her children from death and sold them to time, who is far less merciful,"
He paused, his eyes glimmering with emotion.
"Now those children walk the earth, forever tormented by the knowledge that they will never die, and by the guilt of having brought so much suffering into the world."
You sat in silence for a while, the fire casting shadows on the trees, the only sound the crackling of the flames. You thought about his story, the weight of immortality, the price of defying death.
"Does it frighten you, the thought of an endless existence?" He asked, his gaze locking with yours.
"Yes," you admitted, feeling a shiver run down your spine.
"It frightens me too," he said, a grim smile on his face.
You stared at him, the weight of his words sinking in.
"I've never heard a story like that before," you said finally, your voice barely a whisper.
He gave you a faint smile. "It's an old legend, from my homeland,"
"What happened to the goddess? Is she still out there, somewhere?" You asked, curious.
He sighed, a faraway look in his eyes. "She was banished, forced to watch the earth from an empty place, an eternity of loneliness. Despair her punishment."
"That's awful," you murmured, feeling a sense of sadness wash over you.
"That's the fate of anyone who defies death," he said, his voice low and solemn.
You reached out your hand, beckoning him closer, the distance between you unbearable. He sat back down on the blanket and wrapped his arms around you, the warmth of his body soothing, the feel of his breath on your cheek comforting. You looked into his eyes, the dark, mysterious depths drawing you in, the flames flickering.
"Don't be afraid," he murmured, his fingers caressing your cheek. "Death will never touch you,"
"That isn't what I'm afraid of," you confessed, a blush creeping into your cheeks. "It's the idea of a life without you that scares me."
He smiled, his eyes sparkling. "Then we'll just have to make sure that never happens."
You laughed, the sound a mixture of joy and relief. Then you pulled him closer, your lips meeting in a tender kiss, the firelight casting shadows on the trees, the wind rustling the leaves.
You lost track of time, lost in the moment, in the taste of his lips, the warmth of his embrace. It felt like a dream, the flickering flames, the gentle breeze, the stars twinkling above. But it was real, and in that moment, you knew that you were exactly where you were supposed to be. And what you wanted was pleasure.
"Touch me," you whispered, pressing your body against his.
"What would God say?" he murmured, a mischievous smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Let's find out," you breathed, kissing him again, the fire burning hotter, the night growing darker.
He pushed you gently onto your back, the blanket soft beneath you, the bright night sky above. His lips trailed down your neck, his fingers slipping beneath your habit, teasing the skin of your thighs. You arched against him, a soft moan escaping your lips, desire pooling in your core.
He pulled away, his gaze burning into yours. "Are you sure?"
"Yes," you gasped, desperate for him, for his touch, for the release only he could give you.
"I don't want to hurt you," he whispered, his voice strained, the desire clear in his eyes.
"You won't," you promised, tugging at the laces of his tunic, aching to feel his skin against yours.
"But you are an innocent," he murmured, a gentle smile on his lips. "I do not wish for you to regret this, not with me."
You cupped his cheek,"I will never regret being with you," you whispered, your thumb caressing his lower lip. "Never,"
He gazed at you for a moment, then bent down, his lips brushing against yours in a feather-light kiss. Then he pulled back, removing his tunic, his body bathed in moonlight. Your breath caught in your throat and you reached out, running your hands over his chest, his skin smooth and warm.
He tugged at the hem of your habit, his gaze locking with yours. "May I?"
"Yes," you whispered, lifting your arms, allowing him to pull it over your head, exposing your bare skin to the cool night air.
He tossed the garment aside, his eyes roaming over your body, a hungry expression on his face. "You are so beautiful,"
"So are you," you replied, drinking in the sight of him, the lean muscle of his torso, the planes of his chest, the strength in his arms.
He leaned down, capturing your lips in a searing kiss, his hand trailing down your body, leaving a trail of fire in its wake. He slipped his fingers inside your undergarments, finding your most sensitive place, his touch setting every nerve alight.
Why must sin feel so good? Did God give us this chance to feel pleasure just so we could resist temptation, or did He create our bodies so we could enjoy it? This felt like the latter, the way your body was reacting, the pleasure building with each stroke of his finger.
You moaned, clinging to him, your nails digging into his shoulders. He pulled away, his breathing ragged, his eyes filled with desire. "Are you certain?"
"Yes," you whispered, pressing against him, craving his touch, his closeness.
"Very well," he murmured, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips, the look on his face making your heart race.
He shifted, sliding his hand down your body, his fingers hooking around the waistband of your undergarments, pulling them slowly down your legs. You blushed, the realization that you were naked in front of him, the vulnerability causing your heart to hammer in your chest.
He placed his hand on your inner thigh, his fingers parting the damp curls, his thumb circling your swollen nub, the sensation sending a jolt of pleasure through you, the feeling unlike anything you'd experienced before.
You gasped, clutching at the blanket, the feelings he was creating within you overwhelming, your body responding in ways you didn't know possible.
He teased you, his touch light and deliberate, his fingers stroking and exploring, learning what gave you pleasure, what made you moan, what made your hips buck. He kissed his way down your body, his tongue flicking against the hard peak of your nipple, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin, his mouth hot and wet.
Your hands tangled in his hair, tugging him closer, your need for him desperate. He kissed his way lower, his tongue tracing the curve of your belly, the sharp jut of your hip bone, his hands gripping your thighs, parting them, exposing you completely. You gasped, the realization of what he was going to do was shocking, thrilling, shameful, and yet so, so right.
He dipped his head, his lips grazing the sensitive skin of your inner thigh, his stubble tickling, the sensation making you gasp. He glanced up, his eyes locking with yours, a smirk on his lips. Then he lowered his head, his tongue finding the hidden place that ached for his touch, his fingers stroking, teasing, building the pleasure within you until it was almost unbearable.
Your hips bucked, your breath coming in gasps, his name tumbling from your lips, the word a plea, a prayer. His tongue licking and stroking, tasting and exploring, the sensation pushing you higher, the pressure building until it was too much, until you could no longer hold back, and you cried out, the waves of pleasure crashing over you, your body shuddering.
No, this wasn't sinning, this was heaven, and when you fell, it was his name you cried out.
He moved, his lips meeting yours, his body settling over yours, the hard length of his manhood pressing against your thigh, the feeling strange, yet exciting. You wrapped your arms around his neck, kissing him hungrily, the taste of him sweet and intoxicating. He broke the kiss, cradling your face in his hands, his eyes searching yours.
"Ready?"
"Yes," you whispered, desire coiling within you.
He kissed you again, his tongue tangling with yours, the heat of his body enveloping you. He positioned himself, the tip of his manhood teasing your entrance, the feeling foreign and thrilling. He groaned, the sound muffled against your mouth, his fingers digging into your hips as he pushed forward, the sensation a mixture of pain and pleasure.
You clung to him, burying your face against his shoulder, the fullness, the feeling of him stretching you, the pain slowly ebbing away, replaced by a different kind of ache, a desire to have him deeper, harder. He smiled down at you, his eyes filled with love, the look making your heart swell. He began to move his hips slowly, as he held you close, his arms wrapped around you.
You gasped, the sensation exquisite, every sermon about pleasures of the flesh were erased by the reality of it. The church had gotten it wrong, It wasn't about fleeting pleasures, like indulging in too much honey cake. It was about connection, the joining of two souls, the sharing of love and passion.
He held you like a precious thing, his forehead against yours, his breath warm against your skin. You arched into him, matching his movements as he whispered your name, his voice hoarse and strained, his hands gripping your hips, his movements growing more frantic, his thrusts deeper, harder.
The stars above seemed to burn brighter, the fire flickered, and the forest became alive with the sound of night creatures and the rustle of leaves. The pressure within you built, the sensations becoming overwhelming, the tension almost unbearable.
You cried out, your body trembling as you reached your peak, the waves of pleasure coursing through you. He groaned, his body tensing, his fingers digging into your skin as he followed you, the world seeming to stand still, the night air thick with the scent of smoke, of earth, and the sweetness of pleasure.
The world came rushing back, and he rolled onto his side, pulling you close, his lips brushing against yours. You lay together, your bodies entwined, the sound of your heartbeat the only thing you could hear.
"I have never felt such happiness," you whispered, a smile on your face.
He chuckled, the sound reverberating through his chest, the sensation pleasant. "I'm glad I did not disappoint,"
You giggled, shaking your head. "You could never,"
"You are too kind," he said, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
You sighed, contentment washing over you. You gazed up at the stars, the vast expanse of the night sky making you feel small, but protected, sheltered in his arms. It was as if the entire universe had been created just for the two of you, as if nothing else mattered but this moment, the feeling of peace and contentment.
"You know," he murmured, his lips grazing your ear. "I think we can stay here for a while,"
"That sounds nice," you replied, nuzzling against his chest, the smell of his skin, the warmth of his body comforting.
He hummed in agreement, his hand stroking your back, the sensation soothing, the night air cool on your bare skin. The fire began to die down, and he rose to tend to it, the flames casting shadows across his body, the sight mesmerizing.
"It is strange," you said, propping yourself up on your elbow, watching him. "I never knew I could feel this way, so happy and peaceful,"
"Life is like that," he said, a thoughtful look on his face. "We often do not know what is waiting for us, but the path we follow leads to places we could never have imagined,"
You stood, grabbing the bottle of wine and walking over to him, your legs were trembling slightly and you tripped, falling into his arms, the red wine spilling over the both of you.
"Oh," you exclaimed, a blush creeping into your cheeks, his bare chest sticky with the sweet wine.
He chuckled, steadying you, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
"I see that the mushrooms are having an effect,"
"Is it that obvious?" you asked, blushing, the blush deepening when he laughed.
"I believe the drink is helping as well,"
You looked up at him, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips, his hair messy, his skin flushed.
"I suppose so,"
You handed him the bottle, his gaze holding yours as he drank, the wine dribbling down his chin. You stared, mesmerized, the sight igniting a fire within you. You took his hand, pulling him closer, tasting the sweet liquid from his lips, the wine mingling with the taste of him. Then you pulled away as a strange thrill sparked within you, and you began to skip around the fire, laughing, your hair flying wildly, the stars seeming to twinkle brighter.
He laughed, his voice echoing through the night air, the sound making your heart race. He caught you in his arms, lifting you off the ground, twirling you around, the flames dancing around you, the night sky a canopy above, the fireflies sparkling in the darkness. You felt so wild and free, and you wanted to dance with him forever, to stay lost in the moment, the night a dream, the stars a song.
"You make me so happy,"
He gazed at you, his eyes filled with emotion, his expression tender. "As you make me, my love,"
You paused at his words, the weight of them sinking in, the realization that he truly loved you, that he felt the same way about you as you did about him.
"Elijah, I- I," you stammered, the words failing you.
"It's alright," he murmured, his lips grazing yours, his touch soft and gentle.
"I've never felt this way about anyone, I-" you gasped, the feelings too big for your words.
He smiled, cupping your face in his hands, his thumbs brushing away the tears.
You closed your eyes, savoring the feeling of closeness, of being wrapped in Elijah’s arms. But the reality of what you had just done, what you had been doing for weeks, began to sink in, bringing a wave of dread beneath the warmth.
“I’ve never known a life outside the convent,” you murmured, tracing delicate patterns on his skin, feeling the quiet pull of guilt. The convent’s walls, the endless rules, and the silent prayers suddenly felt a world away, and yet their shadow lingered.
“But now you have,” he whispered, his hand moving softly through your hair.
“What will become of me?” you asked, a tremor of fear slipping into your voice as you looked up at him. You thought of Mother Mathilde, of the church and their harsh lessons on purity and sin. The thought of facing them now, of explaining what you had done, made your heart pound with a quiet panic.
Elijah’s eyes softened, and a slight smile touched his lips. “We’ll go wherever the stars take us,” he promised. “The world is waiting for us.”
You bit your lip, a mixture of fear and excitement blooming inside you. The idea of leaving, of stepping beyond the safety of the convent walls, thrilled you in ways you could barely understand.
“Do you swear it?” you whispered, the question catching in your throat.
He pressed his forehead to yours, his gaze never wavering. “I swear it,” he said, his voice full of conviction.
"I love you," you breathed, the words tumbling from your lips.
He smiled, a hint of sadness in his eyes. "And I love you, more than the stars and the sky,"
You closed your eyes, resting against him, feeling a warmth unlike any other. Yet, as the first light of dawn began to creep over the horizon, a quiet fear lingered. The convent, the rules, the life you had always known... They weren’t gone. They waited for you.
You had defied God, broken every rule. And you would face the consequences.
The question was, when.
Freya entered the courtyard, carrying a cup of blood, and found Rebekah already seated beside Elijah, her hand resting gently on his arm as he sat in silence. Rebekah’s gaze was fixed on her brother, her eyes full of worry, unwilling to leave him alone in his grief. Elijah didn’t seem to notice her presence, his eyes distant and hollow, fixed somewhere beyond the walls around them.
Freya approached, giving her sister a small nod before placing the cup beside Elijah. He didn’t move to take it, but his eyes flickered, betraying a glimmer of longing. His skin was ashen, his hair unkempt, and his clothes were crumpled and torn. It was a painful sight for Freya and Rebekah, both of whom knew him as the ever-composed, dignified brother.
“You should feed,” Freya urged softly. “I’ve added some herbs that might help.”
“I am not hungry,” he murmured, his voice barely a whisper.
Rebekah squeezed his arm gently, glancing up at Freya with a look that conveyed her own helplessness. “She wouldn’t want this for you, Elijah,” she said quietly, her voice full of tenderness and sorrow.
Elijah’s gaze shifted slightly, the grief in his eyes so profound that Rebekah felt it cut through her as sharply as a blade. “Don’t,” he said, his tone hard, as if even hearing your name spoken aloud was more than he could bear.
Freya and Rebekah exchanged a silent understanding, both realizing that Elijah’s pain was too raw, too deep to be soothed. The three of them sat in silence for a moment, the weight of loss hanging thickly in the air.
“What did Klaus and Marcel find?” Elijah asked at last, his voice cracking, though he tried to keep it steady.
“Nothing so far,” Freya answered. “Not a lot of people left to question after-”
“After you dismembered most of the suspect pool,” Kol chimed in from the balcony above, his tone light, a mischievous grin on his face.
Elijah’s gaze sharpened, fixing on Kol with a coldness that might have made anyone else falter. Kol only smirked, strolling down the stairs to join them.
“You’re no help,” Freya hissed, irritated.
Kol grabbed the cup of blood and swirled it lazily, shrugging. “Not in your little murder investigation, no… But I do have something rather interesting to share.”
Elijah’s gaze flickered, the faintest trace of curiosity surfacing. “And what would that be?”
Rebekah looked up at Kol, her wariness evident. “What is this about?” she asked, her tone guarded.
“A spell,” Kol replied, setting the cup down and glancing between them, an almost devilish glint in his eyes. “A very old spell.”
Freya’s eyes narrowed. “Kol…” she warned, sensing where this was leading.
“A way to bring her back,” Kol said, his gaze drifting to Elijah.
Elijah sat up straighter, his expression a mix of disbelief and restrained hope. “Explain,” he demanded, his voice hard.
Kol’s smirk softened, his tone turning serious. “It's a spell that can bind two souls together, to form a connection that transcends death itself. A bond that can be used to pull a soul back into its original body, no matter how long they've been apart, no matter how many miles have stretched between them, or how deeply the grave has claimed them."
Elijah was on his feet, his eyes wild with a mixture of desperate hope and anger. "Why did you not come forward sooner?" he snarled, advancing toward Kol.
"Because I only just found the damn thing," Kol replied, not backing down. "It took months to translate the Latin, longer to decipher the incantation, and then I had to identify the ingredients."
Freya’s eyes narrowed. "Ingredients?" she asked, suspicion clear in her tone.
"Some of them are... difficult to come by," Kol said carefully. "And they require a rather unique skill set."
"Get to the point," Rebekah interjected, her gaze as cold and unyielding as Elijah’s.
Kol’s eyes flickered with a hint of challenge as he explained, "The spell requires a witch descended from a long and powerful bloodline. As well as a blood sacrifice, lots of blood."
"Human?" Freya asked, her expression hard.
Kol’s smile returned, amusement glinting in his eyes. "Oh, witch would suffice, or vampire."
"And this witch from a powerful bloodline? I’m guessing Freya can’t perform the spell," Rebekah said, her gaze sharp.
"You guess correctly, sister dear," Kol replied, eyes twinkling with mischief.
"You’ve got a solution, and I’m not part of it?" Freya cut in, her tone incredulous.
"I wouldn’t dream of it, sister; we’ll need you. But this spell calls for more power than any single witch can provide," Kol explained, his gaze shifting between his siblings.
"Who do you have in mind?" Rebekah asked, her tone laced with suspicion. "Davina?"
“Absolutely not. My girl’s not getting involved in this,” Kol said firmly, his gaze hardening.
"Who then?" Rebekah pressed.
Kol’s grin returned. "Miss Bonnie Bennett, remember her? Lovely witch, very powerful, and quite capable of casting the spell."
"The Bennett witch?" Elijah echoed, skepticism in his voice.
"The very same," Kol said, a smirk tugging at his lips. "The problem is, we aren’t exactly on friendly terms. She won’t be eager to help us."
"What other ingredients do you need?" Elijah asked, his eyes boring into Kol.
"That's the tricky part," Kol sighed. "To pull her soul back, we need someone connected to her, someone who cares deeply for her."
"And?" Rebekah urged, sensing there was more.
“We need their heart,” Kol finished, his gaze flicking to Elijah. “The spell requires the heart of the person who loves her most.”
Silence fell as Elijah absorbed Kol’s words, his expression unreadable. His jaw clenched, the weight of the sacrifice sinking in, but he held Kol’s gaze steady. When he spoke, his voice was low and unwavering. "How soon can you get the Bennett witch here?"
"I'll go to Mystic Falls myself and fetch her," Kol replied, a wicked grin spreading across his face.
"I'm coming with you," Rebekah said firmly.
"No," Kol shot back, his tone suddenly sharp.
Rebekah’s eyes flashed as she fixed him with an unwavering glare. "Why not?"
"You need to stay here, to take care of him,” Kol replied, gesturing toward Elijah. “We can't afford him going rogue again."
"I'm fine," Elijah snapped, his gaze hard.
"Sure you are," Kol quipped, a wry smile playing on his lips.
“Kol,” Freya cut in, her voice laced with warning.
"I won't be gone long, a few days at most," Kol said, looking between them.
Elijah’s jaw tightened, a flicker of conflict in his eyes. "Very well," he conceded, his tone resigned.
"Splendid," Kol said, his smile returning. "I'll leave immediately. I can make the flight tonight."
"I'm still coming with you," Rebekah insisted, her gaze locked on Kol.
Kol rolled his eyes, then relented. "Fine. Let's go,"
Rebekah nodded, rising to her feet. She placed a hand on Elijah’s shoulder, her gaze softening as she held his eyes a moment longer than necessary. “We’ll get her back, okay? No matter what.”
Elijah’s expression remained impassive, but when his gaze met hers, Rebekah saw a glimmer of hope… a faint belief that maybe, just maybe, you would return to him.

Our Lips Are Sealed
TW: rough, passionate sex. Language. Sex without condom. Slight exhibitionism. Downright dirty.
REQUESTED:
I still can’t believe you’re back! Anyways I’m back in your inbox with a super long request (and of course as always, change or get rid of anything). Anyways, this involves two sex scenes between you and rafe. You and rafe have been together for a while and you are really close with his family and one day when you sleeping over you get really horny but you never have sex while other people are home (whether that is his house or your house) but rafe notices you are horny (maybe sees you that look in your eye or he notices you trying squeeze/ rub your legs together to feel some sort of release, etc) so he starts kissing you and when he goes to pull down your pajama shorts you’re like “People are home rafe!” And he’s like “so you don’t want me to eat your pussy and fuck you? You still worried about the noise? I bet you can be quiet, if not, I’ll make you” so of course you’re like “okay” and during it you guys do a pretty good job at being quiet except when you’re getting close to cumming you start to get a little loud so rafe either kisses you or puts his hand over your mouth and whispers something like “shhhh, you have to be quiet, remember baby? You can do it”. (And then you can of course add other stuff if you want). Anyways once they finish they go to sleep and it’s morning now and you guys are eating breakfast and you’re still kinda worried that maybe someone heard but they didn’t and everyone is acting normal. ward and rose go out and Sarah takes wheezie to hang out with a friend and then she goes and hangs with the pogues and once you and rafe are in his room again hanging out you guys are talking about last night and then he says something like “I knew you could do it, but it was hard to be quiet wasn’t it?” And you’re like “yeah...but we are alone now”, and you straddle him. And basically you guys are just really loud this time and he tells you things like “you can be as loud as you want baby” (also loud from things like the bed moving/hitting the wall and/or him carrying you to sit you on a dresser and fuck you and the dresser hits the wall/ things fall off it). -💎
Our Lips Are Sealed
"You okay babe?" Rafe asks from behind the rim of his whiskey. You thought you had been discreet pushing your thighs together beneath your skirt, but something about tonight has you incapable of remaining still. Maybe it's the way your boyfriend's eyes have followed you all night or that it has been a day too long since his touch. Either way, you were squirming and eager, more than willing to do things you would otherwise be apprehensive about.
"Come with me..." He laces your fingers together with some form of grace that leaves them intertwined as if sewn. He makes measured steps, practically sweeping you along behind him, until you get close to his bedroom and away from immediate discovery.
"Rafe-" You warn as his hand slips beneath the waistband of your pajamas shorts. Your head shoots to the hallway and the stairs leading to the collection of your friends and family still in earshot in consideration of your volume of passion.
"So you don't want me to let you come?" Your bottom lip immediately becomes imprisoned between your teeth. The eager hand of his lithe yet skillful fingers begin a slow start against your clothed clit through two layers of fabric you suddenly destest.
"You don't want my mouth on your needy pussy, pretty girl?" His nose is pressed against your neck, free hand playing with the hard pebble of your nipple, you no longer care to crossing that line you'd remained on one side of to respect the Camerons. But with him talking to you like this with lust dripping from every letter in the same call behind his eyes, you pull down your bottoms before he lifts you against the wall.
One hand unlatching his belt, his cock comes free and you groan to the feel of it already pressing against you. Smooth and warm, you brace your nails on his shoulders for what's to come. Because no matter how many times he has thrusted himself inside, it is always an adjustment to that which is the mere feel of him. Just an ounce too big to leave an everlasting stretch, it is anything but painful, but ultimately fulfilling.
"Oh!" His hand rushes over your mouth as he situates you onto him. Only halfway and your eyes are already rolled closed.
"If you wanna do this, we need to be quiet, baby. Because I'm not stopping until you come. But if I have to, I'll make you be quiet with my cock and I'll be just as fucking happy to come in your mouth." You soak his shaft at the mention, no matter the method of his release, it was the continuously reliant aphrodisiac to you.
"Every inch, baby...every...fucking...inch..." If even you could scream, he has you compressed against the wall, legs pulled over his forearms, as he slowly acclimates you to him. He stretches in slow, languorous thrusts, every vein and inch of him marveling your inner walls as you clench to the moment.
"I know my girl can stay quiet, yeah?" You can only nod as his undulations quicken. The sound of skin becomes an echo, heavy breathing intelligible if anyone comes even halfway up the steps, and yet neither of you seem to care. Instead, you focus exclusively on each other.
Skin.
Teeth.
And sweat.
"Oh baby, I'm gonna fucking come if you keep squeezing me like that." He warns through bared teeth against your neck.
"That what you want? Need my cum, baby? You've been so good at being quiet, I'd say you earned it...And you know I know exactly what you need...right?" His tone is almost patronizing. If you didn't know he loved you as he did, you'd almost deny it. Almost. But as he pounds you against the wall, his thumb on your clit and his hand tightening around your mouth as you can no longer contain your moans, he is almost unruly.
"I want you to make yourself hoarse against my hand baby. I wanna hear whose cock is so deep inside you, you can fucking taste it. Whose making you break all your precious little rules. Whose making you-ah fuuuuckkk..." He bucks, hitting the wall until you both stall, tremors making it impossible to be completely still.
"You alright, Rafe?!" Ward calls from the bottom of the steps.
"Uh-yeah-yep. Fine!" He calls back. You can both hear the disappointment in Ward's sigh as he leaves you alone and whether he can tell what happened no more than a few yards from him, you seemed to have gotten away with it.
THE NEXT MORNING
"Hungry baby?" You were almost upset having to wake up absent the comfort of his arm around you, until smelling the breakfast awaiting you as consolation.
All your favorites are lined up as if in a buffet and you begin to pick at the fruit before realizing you are alone in what is usually a bustling start of the day for your boyfriend's family.
"Did...did we scare everyone off?" You wonder aloud, cheeks darkening in your blush.
"They took Wheezie to the mall or some shit...so it's just us..." You gasp as he lifts you onto the counter, pushing the plates to give you room.
"Rafe, I feel like we really tested things last night..."
"I feel bad, I lied to you." He interrupts and your stomach drops. Most vices of his were left behind once you first started dating. But he always held a lingering mischief in his eyes that made you anxious.
"About what?"
"Well I promised to eat you out and I just couldn't wait to get my cock inside my girl so I-"
"Someone could walk in!" You scold before he lifts you onto the countertop, pulls your pants down, panties aside, and moves onto his knees.
"Then they'd see just how much I love my favorite breakfast." A hand between your breasts sets your back flat, as you feel his tongue purposeful between your lower lips.
"Rafe..." You whine as he teases your clit, not committing as much as he is taunting.
"You were so good last night, baby. But," he looks up between your legs. "I can never get enough, can I?"
"Rafe please."
"You wanna come, I wanna hear it. I mean it baby, convince me and we'll see if you get to..."
"You'd deny me?" He smirks, the feel of it against your thigh."
"Fuck no, but I'd make you work for it." He dives into you, teeth and tongue in precise tandem, before you're back is aching.
He rewards you with two fingers bent inside to rub that delicate g-spot to perfection.
"RAFE!"
"That's my girl, baby! More!" He pleads as dishes fall and break, the expense forgotten as he lifts you around him. Taking two steps at a time, he places you in his dresser. Your body forced it to smash into the wall, where he pins you on his cock as he rocks you against it.
"Rafe!"
"I wanna hear you. Scream my fucking name. Be fucked on my furniture. I wanna hear it. See it, fucking smell it, baby. Give it to me. Fucking give-" He speaks between huffs, his chest bare in the tear you make of the shirt before you're writhing against him.
"You know I'm obsessed with my girl? Can't get enough?" He hoists you higher, hitting the wall before placing you on your feet. He guides you to bend.
"Oh yeah, that's it. Take it." He is inside you, deeper than ever, as he pumps.
Fast.
Hard.
Sounds of sex and desperation being the only interruption between skin slapping and heavy breathing.
"Y/N!" Your name comes off his tongue.
"I'm gonna come! Rub that clit! I need you to come with me! Baby! Ah fuck!" He begins to come, his hips in discordance to his former flourishing, until he has you against the wall, hands pressed flat, and your back to his chest.
"You know when you show me that ass, it makes me come..."
"Maybe I just wanted you to be loud for me." You retort.
"All you have to do is ask-" A knock comes to the door and you stare at Rafe wide-eyed.
"Son...once you and...Y/N get dressed, I'd like to talk to you two about volume control...and boundaries..." Ward comments as you can't help but chuckle as Rafe dresses.
"Let's see how funny you think it is when I overstimulate you with my mouth when everyone is asleep tonight." He kisses you before taking your hand and leading you downstairs to face his father. Because no matter the fault or reason, you endure it together.
As you always have.
As you always will.

⤜MASTERLIST
When you'd agreed to go to dinner with Jeongin to talk business you hadn't thought he'd bring you somewhere too sophisticated and fancy and you suddenly felt out of place. You were dressed in your pencil skirt and a white shirt that you were almost sure had stains all over it and everyone in the restaurant looked as though they were dressed for an award ceremony.
The restaurant exuded an air of elegance, its walls adorned with muted artwork that all seemed to be signed by an artist known as "Little Muse" and you felt unease bubbling inside of you. Why did he bring you to such a nice place?
Soft jazz music drifted through the air, mingling with the clinking of silverware and the murmur of voices.
"Jeongin," You whispered as a waiter took you over to a table, your eyes widening as you saw them pull back some curtains to a private booth the two of you were going to be sitting in.
"Yes?" His eyes landed on you, sending shivers up and down your body something you wish you could shut off instantly. You'd had a crush on him as a kid but it had passed when he moved away, or so you had thought since everything seemed to be coming back up to cause trouble again.
"This is a business dinner, we should go somewhere...I-I don't know, better for business." You stuttered out as you took a seat across from him, your eyes looking down at the table that was draped in a white cloth with candles casting a warm glow on your private booth.
"This place is perfect for business, a friend of mine owns this place so we'll be left alone." He smirked at you, he wanted this to be alone time with you.
After not seeing you for almost 10 years he was desperate for some time alone with you, he hadn't seen you since the two of you were young but his feelings for you remained true.
"Okay, so I was thinking if you're serious about going into business with me-"
"Order something to eat first, you look like you haven't had a proper meal in weeks." You stared at him, a little taken back at just how forward he was with you, how did he know?
You hadn't eaten anything but ramen and something you could scrounge up from the hotel kitchen without being noticed. All of your money went straight back into the hotel, you hadn't even had two coins to rub together as of late but there was no way he could have known that. No one knew about it, not even your employees since you didn't want to have them worry about losing their jobs.
Instead, you cut your payout completely making sure they would still get paid and budgeted whenever you could, even leaving your home so you could sleep in your office. You sighed a little and nervously let your eyes flick over the menu, your eyes catching a glimpse of the prices and you instantly felt sick.
"About this business proposal," You said, your voice uncertain as you refused to look up from the menu.
"Yes, Cupcake?" The nickname made your hands clutch onto the menu. No one had called you that in years, no one but Jeongin had ever called you that and he only called you it because you always made sure to have them to hand if he was around.
Clearing your throat, you tried to shake off the memories that were threatening to overwhelm you. You'd been practically inseparable when you were kids, exploring the hotel together until you knew every inch of that damn place. But then Jeongin moved away when he turned 19, no warning, no letter, nothing he was just gone. Part of you thought he'd died until you were old enough to find out who he was and who his family truly were.
"I want to make sure we're both on the same page," You told him, forcing yourself to focus on the matter at hand.
"I put my heart and soul into this hotel, and I'm not sure if I'm ready to share ownership," You were but you weren't going to come across as too desperate to him.
Truth was, the hotel was going under and you were left to try and scramble to put it all together.
When you found out your uncle left you the hotel in the will you'd been over the moon about it. Ever since you were old enough you'd been working in the hotel, starting as a maid until you were promoted again and again till the point where you were practically running the place - your uncle still in charge of the books though. You now realised was because he was losing money left and right, taking out shoddy insurance deals or just flat out refusing to pay for some of the repairs only to do it himself and fuck it up more.
A bank had recently told you that you'd be better off starting a fire and claiming insurance on the place than getting out a load but you were determined not to give up on the place, not when it had been everything you'd wanted ever since you could remember.
Jeongin's lips curled into a faint smile as he watched you, he knew how much trouble you were in but he wasn't going to let on that he knew. He didn't want you to see this as some sort of pity party, he did this because he loved the place as a kid and couldn't stomach the thought of something happening to it, or to you.
His men had been watching you since he came into power, he refused to let anyone touch the hotel you had his protection and you didn't even know it.
"I understand your hesitation, Cupcake. But trust me when I say that together, we could turn that place into something extraordinary." You sighed a little, your fingers tracing the rim of your glass, you knew he was persuasive, and he seemed to be drawing you in against your better judgment. But there was something else lurking beneath the surface, something you couldn't put your finger on.
"What's in it for you, Innie?" Your tone was more assertive now but Jeongin smiled at the nickname you used for him.
"No one's called me that in years." He chuckled softly and you felt your cheeks warming up at how happy it seemed to have made him.
"For me, it's more than business, Cupcake. It's all about reconnecting with an old friend, someone who knew, before all of this." You stared at him, unsure of how to respond to him but luckily a waiter came over to take your order. Jeongin rattled off his choice of food and you couldn't help but admire him from across the table and then he ordered for you. Ordering more food than you'd ever be able to eat but you were grateful for it nevertheless.
Throughout the meal, you talked about everything and nothing, the easy banter of your childhood friendship slowly resurfacing. And as the evening drew to an end, you found yourself opening up to him in a way you wouldn't have expected to. You still hadn't told him about the money issues, you were scared if he found out too soon he'd bail on you.
"I'll come by tomorrow with my payment, we'll sign everything with a lawyer," Jeongin told you as you stood outside the hotel, he questioned nothing when you asked him to drop you back here instead of a home which you were more than thankful for.
"That sounds good," You smiled a little, you were still unsure of everything and you weren't sure if you'd be able to trust him but you knew time could only tell that.
The following day when Jeongin showed up he expected to find you at the reception desk waiting for him and he frowned not seeing you standing there. Lowering the bouquet of flowers he got for you he stared at the woman on the front desk.
"Is YN around?" He stared at the woman who nodded frantically.
"She's probably doing some tasks around the hotel, Miss YLN is a master of all trades." Jeongin hated that you'd resorted to fixing things yourself, he couldn't stomach the thought of something happening to you while you were fixing something.
"Will you make sure these are put in some water and on her desk? I'll try and find her," With that he walked around to try and find you, his footsteps echoing on the marbled floor of the lobby as he made his way to the elevators.
Eventually, he found you in one of the rooms, straightening out the bedsheets while a maid stood shaking in the corner,
"Did she take over?" Jeongin asked quietly as the maid bobbed her head frantically, and he nodded for her to leave and watched her run off down the corridor. Jeonmgin couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at you, with an amused smile playing on his lips.
"Isn't that the maid's job?" He teased gently, his voice laced with amusement. You glanced up from your work, heat taking over your body. You cleaned whenever you were stressed about something and it seemed you'd hardly stopped since waking up this morning.
"I...Uh...Just felt like doing some cleaning." You mumbled, the truth was you were stressing more now that you knew a lawyer was coming to help you and Jeongin signed everything over. You thought he was going to see the books and run for the hills and you worried you'd be left with nothing. The thought of it had kept you up for most of the night and you'd spent all of your time stress cleaning the entire place. Your office was the cleanest it had been in months and you showed no signs of living there and the toilets on the reception floor were spotless too.
"To relieve stress?" He arched a brow, staring at you as you placed chocolates onto the pillows and brushed your hands down the front of your skirt. The same skirt and shirt you'd been wearing the night before and looked as though you'd slept in, if you'd slept at all. Which judging by the bags under your eyes was a big no. You hated that he could see right through you, you hated that he could tell something was wrong without you saying a thing.
"Maybe." You grumbled a little, pushing the cart out of the room and into the hallway, going to move on to the next room when Jeongin stared at you, freezing you in place. His eyes bored into the side of your head as you let out a small sigh,
"Well, you certainly seem to have everything under control." He remarked, a little admiration in his voice. He was impressed with how well you'd kept the hotel going until now, he knew what his lawyers had found since he'd found it months ago but he said nothing. He knew if you found out about him knowing about the money problems you'd refuse his help, you were stubborn and always had been.
This deal was to keep the place he loved afloat yes but it was also to stop you from losing something you loved, he wanted you to be happy. He'd do anything in the world to make sure that you were joyful about something. It was the reason this place was still even going, no one was allowed to touch it under his strict rules and no one went against him.
Even some of your high-paying clients had been sent there specifically by Jeongin but it was getting harder to send them when the hotel was going under.
"Just trying to keep things in order." You mumbled, trying to downplay everything as you kept a casual tone.
Your eyes met, and for a moment, the air between you crackled with tension and you felt your throat drying up and your heart beginning to race. Whenever he looked at you like this it made you feel as though all of your problems were melting away, that he would take care of everything.
"Listen, Yn," He began, his voice gentle as he stepped closer to you, his hand gently clasping your elbow and bringing you closer to him. Your steps fumbled a little as you crashed against his chest, your eyes never leaving his as you now felt how hard his heart was racing.
"I know we've got business to attend to, but I want to say...I'm grateful for the chance to reconnect with you..." You nodded at him, not knowing what to say or do, your heart was aching for you to reach out and kiss him but you needed to remain professional.
"Whatever happens with the hotel, I value what we have more than anything." Your heart fluttered at his words, despite your reservations about all of this you couldn't deny the connection you felt with him.
"Me too, Innie..." You replied softly, a small smile playing on your lips as he leaned down closer to you.
"Boss. The lawyers are downstairs, saying that something is wrong with the books." Your heart shattered into tiny shards, all of which felt as though they were beginning to pierce into your lungs leaving you breathless.
"We'll be right down," Jeongin spoke coldly, his hands holding onto you as you scrambled to get away from him.
"We should go downstairs," You mumbled, refusing to look at him and he missed the time you had before this.
"Yn." He tried to call out but you were already making a B-line for the staircase without looking back in his direction.
In your office the tension hung heavy in the air as Joengin sat across from you, flanked by his team of lawyers. Your hands were shaking as you stared at one of the mn,
"I'm sorry, Yn, but the numbers don't lie." One of them said gravely, you'd been introduced but didn't bother to learn either of their names since you knew this was all going to fall through.
"The hotel is haemorrhaging money, and if we don't act fast, it's going to sink further into debt." He explained, sliding the papers over to you as you stared down at the maths you'd already been working out long before they came into the scene,
"Our recommendation is to cut our losses and walk away while we still can." The other one said to Jeongin but his jaw tightened, his expression unreadable as he absorbed everything.
"Innie, I know this looks bad but...I-I can fix it. I can get another loan." You tried to scramble for something, anything to keep him from walking away from this.
"Every bank has turned her down." The lawyer stated coldly, making your blood boil as you turned to face him,
"I'll fire some staff, make more cutbacks. I'll stop paying myself." You weren't telling them that you'd already done that, you just needed to buy some time to get him to stay.
"You haven't been paying yourself for months, you've been sleeping in your office." The second lawyer stated making you stare at him, wondering how long he'd been watching you for them to know all of this.
"You've been watching me?!" You snapped at the lawyer who looked as though you'd just bitten his head off.
"Sir, we recommend walking away." They both stated, standing up slowly as you stared at Jeongin, your eyes pleading with his. A knot formed in the pit of your stomach, the weight of the situation pressing down on your shoulders.
"I'm not walking away." He declared, his gaze locked on yours, your heart thumping rapidly against your chest.
"I made a commitment to Yn and I intend to honor it. We'll find a way to turn this around, no matter what it takes." He told the cooly. The lawyers exchanged incredulous glances, clearly taken back by Jeongin's stubbornness.
"With all due respect, Sir, this isn't a wise investment." One of them insisted.
"You'll be throwing good money after bad." Jeongin shook his head at them, he didn't care what they said he wasn't going to walk away from any of this. They were only here to oversee the signing of everything, everything they found was everything knew already and didn't care about.
"I'm not in this for the money. I'm in this because Yn is my friend, and I won't abandon her when she needs me most. We'll figure out a solution together, even if it means taking risks." You felt a surge of gratitude swell within you, a lump forming in your throat at his unwavering loyalty. Despite the odds stacked against you, he was still willing to stay by your side and you knew you had a fighting chance.
"T-Thank you...I-I don't know what I'd do without you." Your voice choked up a little and he smiled at you,
"You don't have to worry anymore Yn, I'll always have your back, no matter what," He told you reassuringly, with that the lawyers got out the papers and you all began signing. Jeongin put down more money than he needed but he was willing to do it for you.
As the night stretched on, you and Jeongin found yourselves huddling together in your office, poring over the financial reports, and brainstorming ideas to salvage the hotel.
"We can have more functions held here, a friend of mine is having a wedding soon and I'm sure I can sway him to holding it here," He stated as you stared at him in complete awe. All night long you'd found yourself staring at him more and more.
"Sure. It's been a while since a wedding was at the "Celestial"." You giggled at the thought. You'd always loved hosting weddings but everything had died down when you didn't have enough staff to work the events.
"I can bring in other servers and we can slowly build everything back up," Jeongin smiled proudly of himself and you stared at him. The air crackled with tension as you thought back to your moment in the hallway earlier but you quickly went back to scribbling notes onto a pad. Your mind races with ideas other than weddings, you could host parties, charity balls, or anything you wanted.
Jeongin leaned in close, his presence comforting and yet electrifying all at once. You slowly looked up to meet his gaze and linger a little more than necessary. The years of unspoken longing bubbling to the surface, your defences crumbling like sandcastles in the side. Jeongin's hand reached out tentatively, cupping your cheek as he brushed his thumb along your skin. Your breath caught in your throat, your heart pounding against your chest as you leaned into his touch.
"Innie," You breathed out, your voice barely coming out above a whisper as you searched his eyes for any sign of hesitation. But he said nothing, his lips capturing yours in a kiss that ignited a firestorm inside of you.
In that stolen moment, time seemed to freeze around you as you melted into each other, the weight of your unspoken desire finally finding a release. You wrapped your arms around Joengin's neck as he pulled you onto his lap, your lips moving together in a silent promise of love and devotion.
"I-Innie," You breathed out as you broke apart, completely breathless and dizzy with desire, you knew that you wanted him badly.
"Sofa," You whispered, kissing down his neck and softly biting into his skin as you moved together toward the sofa. Jeongin carefully set you down on the sofa and sank to his knees in front of you,
"Yn, are you sure?-"
"Yes...Just please, touch me." You begged him, a smirk tugging on the corners of his lips as he slowly rolled your skirt up your hips.
"I've wanted to fuck you ever since I saw this skirt," He moans out, kissing up your thighs until he reaches your underwear, yanking them down in one swift movement, your heart hammered against your chest.
"R-Really?" You felt your body heating up as he wrapped your legs around his shoulders, dragging you to the edge of the sofa quickly.
"Don't act shocked, Cupcake. I've always wanted you," He said plainly as if it was common knowledge for you to know but you'd never had any idea that he did.
"You never said anything to me when we were last together," You battled back with him but he smirked,
"I was planning on it before I was yanked away from you,"
"You never wrote." You mumbled to him, it wasn't the time to get into this now when you were laid bare in front of him but you wanted answers.
"Orders from dad, no contact."
"But-"
"Will you let me eat your pussy? I'm fucking starving, Cupcake." He growled out before you nodded, giggling a little but it was quickly replaced by a gasp as he ran his tongue up your slit. His mouth was hot and wet as he slowly ran his tongue against you, building you up as he ate you out like a man starved. Your head rolled back against the back of the sofa as you cried out his name. You couldn't remember the last time you'd slept with someone or even made yourself feel come but Jeongin was already better than any memory you had.
"F-Fuck," You hiss out, your hips slowly grinding against him as he hummed against your clit, vibrations chilling up and down your spine, as you cry out his name.
"I-Innie," You moaned out, raking your fingers through his hair and pushing him deeper into you, his tongue swirling around your clit as he slowly pushed two fingers into you. Thrusting them slowly and softly, curling them to that one spot that made your head spin.
"Just like that," You plead with him, your heels digging into his shoulder blades as you feel the tension building deep inside of you. Jeongin pressed himself closer to you, humming against your clit until it was too much your orgasm hit you suddenly, your legs shaking around him as he smirked.
"Good fucking girl," He groans, standing up and chuckling as you quickly removed his belt, throwing it against the room and pulling down his pants.
"Please," You beg as he lays you down on the sofa, kissing you softly as he carefully lines himself up at your entrance, your legs carefully wrapping around his waist.
"You're so hot when you beg." He moans out as he slowly pushes into you, filling you to the hilt as you let out a strangled moan. He was bigger than you'd been expecting and you whimpered a little,
"M-move," You urged, bucking your hips a little to let him know he was good to move and he smiled kissing you roughly as he slowly pulled out of you, only to slam back in a second later.
"F-Fuck yes!" You cry out, your eyes screwed shut as you clutched onto him, trying to adjust to his size as he continued to pound into you. His cock driving into you, hitting that one spot that made you scream louder. Your nails dragged down his back as you searched for something to cling onto, ripping holes into his shirt as your head rolled back in complete ecstasy.
"Jeongin!" You moan out, your clit grinding against him on every stroke of his cock, the pressure building inside of you hitting near its breaking point.
"Cum for me, cupcake. Let me feel you," He moans out, his thrusting getting faster as you finally felt the pressure snap and you came around his cock violently, causing your back to arch away from the sofa.
"S-Shit, Yn." He groans, unable to hold himself back anymore as he thrusts into you, slowly coming undone inside of you as you lay there. The wind knocked out of both of you as you let out small chuckles at one another.
Wrapped in each other's arms, you lay on the sofa together, the warmth of your embrace serving as a sanctuary from the outside world. Jeongin's fingers gently traced patterns along your back,
"My dad never wanted me to contact you after we moved away. He said it was best to leave the past behind us," He finally told you, his words hesitant.
"I regretted it every day...Losing touch with you was like losing a piece of myself. But now that I have you back in my life, I never want to let go." A smile tugged on his lips and tears brimmed in your eyes at the weight of his words.
"Innie..." You whispered, your voice cracking a little. Jeongin pressed a soft kiss to your forehead,
"I love you, Yn. I've loved you since we were kids, and I'll love you for the rest of my days." Tears spilt down your cheeks as you clung to him, your heart overflowing,
"I love you too, Innie." You confessed,
"I always have and I always will," You finished as he kissed your lips softly. In that moment, as you lay close to one another, you knew your love was a force to be reckoned with. That no matter what, with him by your side, you'd be able to overcome any obstacle that stood in your way.
"I want this place spotless!" You called out to the event hall of your hotel, everyone inside was rushing around at the last second to make sure everything was perfect for you. You placed your hand on your stomach and watched as one of your guards - Carlos - made his way over to you with some snacks,
"You're going to make it obvious," You mumbled to him as you took the crisps from him and started to eat from the packet. It seemed as though ever since you'd hit the 6-week mark of your pregnancy you'd been craving crisps or anything that was savoury and Carlos had been the man to help you. Mostly because he was the only other person who knew about it and he only knew because he found you crying in your office whilst holding the stick.
I think it should be obvious. Too much stress isn't good for the baby and have you told Mr Yang yet?" Carlos was far too comfortable with you, you thought maybe it was time to switch him for another guard but you'd grown comfortable with him also and you enjoyed your talks together.
"No." You mumbled with a mouthful of crisps, shaking your head at him. All week long he'd been trying to get you to tell Jeongin about the pregnancy but you were nervous about it. It had only been a few months since the two of you got together and you knew if he found out he was only going to stop you from working Jisung's wedding that your hotel was hosting and that was the last thing you wanted.
Everything you and Jeongin had been working toward was here and you weren't going to let someone else take the reigns on this.
"Don't you think you should?" He raised his brow at you but you mumbled what he said back to him in a mocking tone and walked toward your office. You opened the door and stared at Carlos with a weak smile,
"I'll tell him when the time is right after the wedding is over." You shrugged not realising that Jeongin was standing inside of your office and Carlos held back the smirk. He'd known about Jeongin coming to visit you and it was his intention to try to get him to overhear everything,
"Tell who what when the time is right?" You cringed as you heard Jeongin and you glared at Carlos.
"You're a backstabber and I hate you." You mumbled slamming the door in his face and making your way toward the chair behind your desk.
"Is there something I should know?" Jeongin chuckled, watching you closely as you shook your head
"No. It's nothing, it's just Carlos worrying for nothing." You hated the fact that you were lying to your boyfriend but you needed to make sure you worked this wedding. You'd been planning it for months now and you weren't going to let Jeongin or anyone else take it away from you, not when it was the first wedding in years.
"Is it about your pregnancy?" Your hand paused midway to your mouth and the crisps fell from your grasp,
"How-" Your heart sank as you thought about him finding out through someone else but you. The last thing you ever wanted was for him to be upset but he didn't seem it in the slightest, in fact, he seemed rather happy.
"Please, you've been eating crisps non-stop, you're throwing up and not to mention some of the maids were gossiping about it when they found the test in your trash." Jeongin had known for weeks and at first, he was a little upset that you hadn't come to him but he could understand why.
"Those little rats," You mumbled to yourself, sighing and looking at him, suddenly feeling the guilt take over you as you whimpered a little.
"I didn't tell you because I knew you'd stop me working." You defend but Jeongin eyes you up closely
"Did I though?" He smirked, raising a brow at you. Sure, at first he wanted to stop you from doing everything but he knew that would only make you worse and neither of you wanted that.
"Well, no, but-"
"I won't stop you working but as soon as I see you stressing that's when I'll put a stop to things." He reached his hand over the desk and squeezed yours softly,
"Thank you," You whispered, smiling a little as you thought about it.
"Jisung and his bride-to-be are waiting for us in the Restaurant," They were waiting to go over a final plan and you had a special surprise for them as well. You'd been working with a private contractor for a few weeks making sure that the honeymoon suite was perfect for them and it was finally complete which you were going to show them around after food.
The sun dipped below the horizon casting a warm glow over the gardens of your hotel you watched as your daughter ran toward Changbin's son - Rath - who was quickly running away from her.
"Your son is a nousense." Jeongin grumbled, his arms folded against his chest as your daughter continued to chase Rath through the gardens yelling for him to wait for her.
"Your daughter is the one with the crush, it's not my son." Changbin laughed as he wrapped his arms around his wife, your head shaking as the two men began to bicker back and forth with one another. It felt good to have nights like this together.
You found yourself close with all seven of the other wives Jeongin's friends were married to, each of you helping raise each other's kids or just being close friends, it was a bond that could never be broken.
"Wait till he hears that Jisung's son wants to date his daughter." Chan laughed loudly causing Changbin to yell louder and in Jisung's direction this time. You giggled a little lacing your fingers with Jeongin's as you listened to all the children laugh as they played games in the garden and you couldn't think of a better place to be than right here.

i love that neil considers jean as part of the family he wants to protect. i will elaborate this time because
if you think about it, neil spent book 1 trying his best not to build a connection, book 2 trying to break down the walls ending with confirming from nicky if they were friends, and every second after that deliberately doing whatever was in his goddamn power to keep these people safe and happy. going to edens for andrew, keeping the truth from them, getting the letter back for kevin, reminding kevin that he owes jean a conversation after all that's happened, fixing the twins' relationship, spending time with them even though he knew he would leave. in his mind, what he was doing was selfish because he was going to die soon and they didn't even know it.
he doesn't die, though and he comes back with even MORE fight in him than before. he meets his uncle once and although his mother hadn't wanted him to be involved in one gang after another, he doesn't give a single flying fuck. the hatford's existence is just another resource for him, a way to hurt those who have hurt his family. stuart already killed his father, so what's it matter if there's a few more - protecting him means protecting his family. if the fbi had any clue about the power neil actually holds over the hatford's they would all willingly eat their hats tbh.
so the first thing he does when he sees his uncle again? despite knowing that ichirou is close-by? he tells him to kill proust.
hell, even the moriyama's are nothing to this man if i'm being honest. he isn't afraid of them, he knew the rarity of ichirou's visits which made him wary when he got into the car to talk about bargaining their lives and i truly do believe ichirou moriyama was fucking relieved neil didn't ask for more than that. there is that strange, dead look in his eyes that he's inherited from his father which unnerves the fuck out of everyone who doesn't know him. and when he bargained for his life and kevin's, he remembered jean too.
which is fucking insane. he spent only winter break with jean moreau, ONLY. i know there's extra days at the nest, but i'd kill to know what happened between jean and neil during that time for neil to have such unflinching loyalty towards his 'forever partner'. i want to know their conversations, i want to know what they suffered through together.
and the casual way in which jean dropped the news about grayson to neil, after hiding it away from everyone for so long. he admitted the truth to neil straight up, like of course neil should know, it's neil. jean's mind is still haywired to remember him too even though they were only together for a few weeks!!!
what is it about them?
and then the entire time otw to the diner, neil's plotting again. he's scheming. he's thinking. and he knows what to do. and its asking for local work because fuck anyone who has ever hurt his family. he literally only ever needs a fucking name, bro. 'my first memories are of people dying.' i think we can tell...
wymack saw that leadership potential and made him vice captain. god bless neil only cares about playing exy because if he had even a second more interest in crime he would've floored everyone. i can see it so clearly.
anyway, hope he takes a hit out on tetsuji moriyama next 🙏
#although for infighting reasons that might not be the best thing to do so mr strategy josten would disagree on this note#i still want tetsuji to die#aftg#neil josten#jean moreau#jeaneil#jeanneil#lowkey a little bit of a character study#liz yaps

Can we just...stop comparing Colin to Anthony? Please? They aren't remotely close to the same person, and it's frankly disheartening to see time and time again now.
"Colin had no trauma related to love and self worth to deal with like Simon and Anthony had."
Unless I am very much mistaken, Colin and Anthony have the same father. They both watched said father die from a bee sting. They both watched their mother hold her dying husband in her arms and sob because she just lost the love of her life. The only difference? Anthony was 18, and Colin was 10-12, depending if we're talking show or book. Regardless, watching his father die absolutely gave Colin trauma.
Colin was sent off to Eton not months after his father died. He never was able to process it with his own family, because they stuck together and processed it together. But Colin had to go away to school. And when he was home, he would bring flowers and play games and try to keep everyone smiling. The only way he felt useful was to focus on everyone else's happiness and diminish his own needs.
He went away on travels each year to try to find himself, process his own trauma and experiences. His engagement to Marina blew up in his face, so he immediately left to go traveling, to lick his wounds away from the rest of the ton. And while he was gone, Penelope was the main one to read and reply to his letters. When he got back, his own family diminished him, said it was a waste of time, that his "prattling on about his travels" was boring. So what did that teach Colin? That his family doesn't care about him. Doesn't value him. Doesn't find his time, his experiences, worth it. Eloise says to Pen (in front of Colin) that she found his letters about Greece dull, and couldn't finish them.
So at the beginning of season 3, when he's returned from another summer away, after no one in his family replied to a single one of his letters, and in the carriage to the presentation, he's absolutely going to not want to talk about his travels with Anthony. "Who are you and what have you done to our brother?" You happened to Colin, Anthony. Colin is masking and pretending like his travels weren't a big deal, that they didn't affect him, when he straight up tells Penelope later that he used the time away to remake himself into a new man. To try out a new persona, away from the ton, where no one knew him as Colin Bridgerton, or as a Bridgerton at all. He was just some nameless man.
He felt like he had no one back home to care about him, so the problem must obviously be him. That there was something wrong with who he is as a person, and that maybe this new version of himself would finally make the people back home--and his family--care about him. Maybe this version would finally be the version of him that's good enough.
So when he comes back to London, he's a flirt. He plays at being a "rake." He sleeps with random women. He goes out drinking with his "friends" all the time, laughs with them at their conquests. But he doesn't enjoy any of it. His mother tells him that he's always been one of her most sensitive children, always putting others first, helping them, trying to lighten the mood. But she also says that he downplays himself for the sake of others. That he puts on armor, that he needs to not put others first so he can ensure that the armor will not some day rust and be unable to be removed. She is possibly the only person who sees Colin, truly sees him.
He feels like he needs to hide his sensitive side, be less needy, be stronger, be more manly. (I would eat my hat if Anthony hasn't told him to "be a man" more than once.) This flirty rake is not who he is at his core. At his core, he is kind, and sensitive, and craves connection. He craves connection so deeply. He wants to be seen, to be loved, to be cared for, to be cherished. Ultimately, he wants someone to value him, like he does for all those around him that he cares about. His family ignored him for that entire summer, and he still brought back incredibly thoughtful gifts for each of them, that shows how much he knows them and loves them. He wants to be able to love, care for, and cherish someone in return.
How is his desire for love and to be loved and this ease in which he creates a new Colin to try and please everyone else not a trauma response related to love and self worth?
#colin bridgerton#bridgerton#i am so tired of everyone being fine with anthony sleeping around but the second that colin does it it's an issue#i am so tired of colin being compared to anthony#he is not the same person as anthony#he has never been the same person as anthony#he is so much better than anthony#and he deserves recognition for who he is#he is a fine fine man#a good man#a kind man#this probably doesn't make a lot of sense because it's late and i'm tired but i'm annoyed and i had to write this out

hello again! Could you make the sully family including Mo"at and tonowari family react to how to train your dragon and both of them to be in the same universe.
hello sweetie! Okie, so its been so loooooooooooooooong since I watched the movies, so I took my sweet ass time to re-watch the first movie [idk if ya wanna ask for more in the future]. So I only placed the important events. So sit back, relax and enjoy~!!
---------------------
Myth or Ancient?
“Here, and be careful not to touch the shiny part with your fingers, it can ruin the colors. So it's super delicate” Norm carefully instructs tsireya and rotxo who nod enthusiastically. “You can trust us Norman sir” rotxo promises with a wide happy grin. Saying their bye’s, tisreya and rotxo run to the village as they start to talk about what sort of ‘snacks’ to eat for when they watch the disk called ‘movie’.
“Demon technology is very interesting when it is not scary. How can this round thing show colors or people?” tsireya wonders as she stares down at the flat box that is protecting the disk. Rotxo shrugs, “even if lo’ak or kiri explains to us, I get the feeling we will still be confused” he says. They make their way slowly as they look at the cover of the thin box.
Tsireya squints her eyes and reads the letters but if anything, the bold red kinda annoys her eye site. “That is a lot of red…” she muttered. She usually sees human language in green or white. Rotxo leans in, “do you think the colors have different meanings?” he wonders. This time tsireya shrugged.
Lo’ak and neteyam were showing ao’nung how a camera works while their parents chat in a not so far distance. Everyone had their noon meal, stomachs full and in a mood for tea as the other villagers enjoy their relaxing day.
“Wait so I just stare at this circle thing and-”
*SNAP!*
“Ow! My eyes! Did it just blind me!?” Ao'nung screeches dramatically as he rubs his eyes, adjusting from the sudden flash of light. Lo’ak was cackling like a madman as neteyam chuckles at the reef prince’s antics. “Oh I have to see the result!” lo’ak says as he snatches the camera from ao’nung.
As the boys looked at the result, mo’at, jake and neytiri were talking with tonowari and ronal. “There are many ways the people have enjoyed themselves, even with demon technology that causes no harm. We do keep it very limited to usage and the purpose of it” neytiri explains to tonowari and ronal. And as if on que, running towards them was tsireya and rotxo.
“Mother, father, look what sir Norman granted us to see” tsireya says happily as she shows the thin box to the adults. Tonowari leaned in to see. “There are tiny letters that I cannot read so well,” he says. Tsireya hands it over to Jake to see if he can read which, Jake grins happily. “Babe, it's your favorite movie,” he grins. Neytiri's ears perk up and tail swaying happily, “how to train your dragon?”. Jake nods in confirmation.
“What is it?” Tonowari asks, “something I believe you might all like. Come, let's prepare for what we call a movie night” Neytiri smiles wide as she answers his question.
Food was cooked and shared, many mats, cushions, and other forms of sitting was set as Jake and norm prepared the projector. Tonowari and his family got the best seats, right at the center where they can see the view perfectly.
“How will we see this…movie?” Ronal asks as she cradles her young baby. Spider brought little treats for her baby kindly answers. “In simple terms, the movie will be seen like physical people telling their story, like 3D”. Ronal just stared at him, lost at the explanation. He chuckles nervously, “you know what? Best to see the magic yourself”.
After 30 minutes of everyone huddling together, sharing their portions and for the Eclipse to take full effect of the night, norm began to press play.
And for the metkayina family, they gasped in awe. Massive colors of mountains, the sea, the clouds! They looked so solid and floating in mid air!
“Majic of holograms-”
“Ok shut up lo’ak”
“This is Berk…”
The main character began to speak, narrating about his home and life. Show how it is at night, from the animals to the form of the berk village. The whole style captured the reef na’vi attention very well.
“Incredible….” Tisreya mutters as she leans against lo’aks shoulder.
“The only problems are the pest”
The scene zooms in on the poker face sheeps, enjoying their nightly dinner with all of a sudden claws grabbing it. Ao’nung and rotxo gasped, just what was it?
“Most people have mice, or mosquitos, but we have….”
A door opens to see the sheep running away, and a monster flying dangerously close looked at the open door and breathed out fire.
“Dragons!”
“Dragons? What are those?” Tonowari asks, neytiri not far from his family simply smiles, “proud and fearless creatures, like the ikrans' '. Neytiri pops a popcorn in her mouth as she snuggles with Jake, enjoying her all time favorite movie.
“Dragons…” Ronal repeats but with wonder. Oh they definitely have the family’s attention now.
“What is he doing out here ag-what are you doing out here?! Get inside!”
“That is stoick the Vast, chief of the tribe. They say when he was a baby, he popped a dragon's head clean off from its shoulders. Do I believe it? Yes I do”
Hiccup narrates of the large man who was able to easily pick him like nothing.
Tonowari looks at the leader being show, “why is his face mostly hair?” he asks. “Thats how the vikings were back then. Said to attract and scare off anything” Jake replies easily. Tonowari hums at that, slowly liking this stoick guy.
The movie continues to show the insanity of the dragons attacks. Their fiery breaths destroy so many homes, taking animals left and right. And the people fend them off in many ways. Utter chaos all around, but shows how it is their normal everyday life.
For lo’ak and spider, hiccup has become their favorite character. Despite the awkwardness and having to be kept inside from dangers, they can understand him on a deep level. Which is why they understand hiccup’s need to kill a dragon, his way of “making his mark”.
“One day bro…one day” lo’ak whispers to spider. But the human boy nudges him away, “dude you became brothers with a tulkun. I think you already made your mark on that” spider says in a deadpan way.
Spider can understand hiccup from how their own bodies are. Yes spider isn't shaped to stand the planet's environments but he makes it through. Just like how hiccups is small and lanky, he makes his way through his crazy viking life.
“So many different types of dragons….and many are so ugly” Ronal says as hiccup lists different dragon species. Tonowari can't help but chuckle, his guess, dragons are not meant to be a pretty sight if they are considered dangerous creatures of the skies.
“There are prettier dragons you know” Neytiri comments.
Ronal turns to her, “how so?”
“Later you shall see. I rather not spoil the fun”
As the scene goes on, the one, the only, night fury dragon has entered the battlefield. Everyone cheers for that dragon, a common favorite in the clan. “Amazing! I want to see the full view of the nightly beast-what is hiccup doing?” it was rotxo who said that. He enjoyed the building hype until the next part focuses on hiccup setting up what looks like a trapping weapon.
“He is going to get himself killed!” ao’nung whispers/shouts.
“Yeah, that is going to happen a lot in this” neteyam calmly answers as he offers popcorn to ao’nung to whom happily accepts.
“Yes! Did anybody see that?!” hiccup shouts excitedly.
“He did” tsireya points happily as the monstrous nightmare dragons crawls up from the cliff.
“Well he is toast”
Neytiri cringed a bit at Jake's joke, but held in her laugh.
But as the next scenes go, things didn't go as smooth as stoick would have liked. Having more things being burned at the dragon chases hiccup, only for later to be given a lecture in front of the massive crowd.
“I feel you hiccup” lo’aks voice cracks as a single tea falls from his face.
“The forest looks so pretty” tsireya comments as she admires the pretty view of the berk forest. Similar to the omatikaya forest, yet it is still different. Human environment truly never bores her. But as she admires the scenery, they reach the part as hiccup searches high and low for the night fury dragon he has shot down while ranting and venting his anger.
“He found it!” rotxo points out the obvious thing but doesn't care. The suspense grows, hiccup takes out his blade which makes the sully’s give out a chuckle. “Tuk’s blade is bigger and sharper than that” neteyam says as he calms himself. Tisreya looks over at him. “Now that you mentioned is, where are your sisters? I figured they would enjoy this too” she wonders. Neteyam shakes his head, “no, they have something better”.
Not sure what he meant by that, but tsireya accepts his answer.
“Oh he is a beauty…” ronal admires the slow scene of the night fury. Capturing every detail and its mesmerizing green eyes. The look of a dangerous, unpredictable hunter. Something about it gives chills down her spine.
“Indeed, he is my second favorite dragon,” Neytiri adds. Ronal wonders if another like the night fury will appear later on in the movie.
Hiccup takes deep breaths, hesitating, heart racing.
“He isn't….he isnt going to kill the dragon is he???” ao’nung asks, already feeling sad for the poor beast. Nobody answers. The tension is rising. The music is rising to its peak. Will he do it? Will he cut out the heart?
Will the night devil accept his fate?
No because hiccup decided to cut the ropes and only faint a minute later after releasing the dragon.
“That was crazy of him, but also with the night fury” tsireya looks at the scene. Feeling worried about hiccup. There was a lot of stress happening in those few short minutes. “Makes you think if he still wants to follow the ‘viking’ style like his people” ao’nung comments, making air quotes like how the sully kids do.
“Can you stop that?!” gobber shouts at fishlegs who for some odd reason is doing quick math as gobber lists the dragons that are behind the tight metal gates.
“Interesting kids…” Tonowari obersves how each teenager is like. From the annoying twins to the tough girl act, Astrid. While at the same time, Jake was able to enjoy how Astrid was like. Reminded him so much of a certain tough girl.
“Today is about survival. If you get blasted, you’re dead!” Gobber informs. Tisreya claps her hands as ao’nung listens to what gobber is saying.
“It is just like an iknimaya. Learning at first hand, "Tonowari says in awe. He enjoys the scene as the kids in screen run for their lives and make a fool of themselves. The reef kids all smile as they remember their early stages and future stages of their iknimaya.
“Is it similar to what you had to go through?” Ao’nung asks neteyam, the young boy nods “similar yes. Remind me of how we tamed out ikrans”.
“And remember, dragons always go for the kill” Gobber stares at hiccup after his massive mistake. Ao’nung and rotxo tilt their heads on that one.
“If that is true, why didn't the night fury attack him then?”
Hiccup began to slowly gain the trust of the nightfury, keeping his distance while feeding it fish.
“I guess for humans its harder since neither the dragon or hiccup have a way to connect” it fascinates tisreya. Using a queue makes a bond easier. However for humans, it takes a lot of work and a lot of patience. And it shows the results.
The nightfury, who was given the name toothless, has come to enjoy hiccups presence.
“Their bond grows stronger” Tonowari looks in awe. Reminds him of how the animals bond and grow alongside the na’vi. As the movie continues, seeing how dragons live, and learning through hiccup, it was literally learning a whole new world, or in this case, the old world.
Ronal however, seems to wonder about future possibilities. Balancing a secret and becoming ‘popular’ is multitasking. “It is only a matter before the truth comes to light…”
Ronal was correct.
Hiccup’s secret was found out, without meaning to. He has a final test, to defeat a dragon in the trial dome. Everyone was cheering him on, but his life was in danger. Hearing his shouts, toothless heard and ran for his aid. Exposing to the whole village that the infamous nightfury was there all along.
And to make matters worse, stoick used toothless as a naivator to find the queen of the dragons nest.
“He is going to get everyone killed!!” tsireya shouts/whispers. Hugging her knees tight, feeling sad for hiccup and toothless.
Clearly a war with the dragons seems very dangerous, even with the prepared weapons to take all of the dragons down, the queen is not a dragon that can be taken down so easily. And when she came to full view, was she terrifying.
“So horrid…”
“Yet to captivating”
Neytiri and Jake enjoy seeing the metkayina’s reactions. The reveal of the queen never fails. “The queen will surely give me nightmares tonight” Ao’nung says, not liking how many sharp teeths the giant dragon has. Neteyam chuckles at that, “don't worry my friend, a true dragon queen is never ugly. Beautiful in reality”.
Ao’nung looks over at neteyam with some doubt, “you make it sound as if you met a real dragon”
Neteyam didnt say anything further and just enjoy the movie.
“NO!”
Rotxo hid his face with the empty popcorn bucket, not wanting to see the impact of hiccup’s ultimate demise. Tsireya hides her eyes also, ready to cry if the poor boy is dead. “Please tell me he is not dead…I can't look '', lo’ak chuckles at that. “Come on, look, you will miss it” he encourages. Gently lifting tsireya’s chin to face the film, worry clearly seen in her eyes.
In sigh of happiness and relief, they all see toothless covering passed out hiccup. Stoick goes to see his son, safe and in one piece. Well, almost in one piece.
“Oh no…” Ronal covers her mouth as it is revealed hiccup lost his leg. Tonowari leans in, whispering to himself, encouraging hiccup he can do it, he can walk with his new leg. “It's not going to stop him, for sure” ao’nung says, his eyes so glued in to the final parts of the movie.
“If the queen couldn't, nothing will” lo’ak says.
“It was hardly a queen” netyiri gently scoffing at the dead horrid dragon.
The door opens to show the village waiting for hiccup, welcoming back. And with a newfound perspective, thanks to him. Now the village embraces the dragons as their new companions. And of course, a new saddle to ride on, hiccup takes his flight in the new era of humans and dragons.
“This is berk, its snows 9 months of the year and hails the other three. Any food that grows here tough and tasteless, the people that grow here even more sore. The only upsides are the pets. While in some places have ponies, or parrots, we have dragons”
The credits began to role, thus the movie ended.
Tsireya and rotxo clapped enthusiastically, as ao’nung nodded in appreciation. Ronal and Tonowari nodded to neytiri and jake, their way of saying thanks for the delightful entertainment.
“That movie was incredible! But, were dragons indeed real? Have they gone extinct?” Tsireya could help but ask. She learned that the vikings were indeed real, but what else was real? As she asks aways, Ronal couldn't help but just notice something.
“Neytiri, where are your daughters? I haven't seen them since we got here” she asks. Neytiri chuckles a bit as she prepares some late night meals for everyone, “they will all be here soon”
“No sooner enough” was the voice of mo’at as she entered their home. The sully family welcomes her in, the metkayina greeting the tsahik. Mo’at sits beside her grandsons and accepts the meal from jake. “Where is kiri and tuk if I may ask? They missed such an amazing film!” Tsireya asks mo’at.
“That movie of the dragons? I have seen it endless amounts of times I can recite the whole thing. My granddaughters would agree on that” mo’at answers.
“But where are they?”
“Enjoying the real dragon experience”
This confused the reef na’vi a bit. But before anyone else can say anything, there was a loud shreek. It was an unfamiliar sound, at least to tonowari and his family. But this sound brought smiles to the sully family. “Right on time” jake said, everyone running out to see what it was.
Opening the flaps wide, ronal peeked out and gasped loudly.
“Is that…”
“Oh my Eywa they are real!!”
A dragon! A mighty one at that! It gently flapped its wings, landing down safely on a very thick branch. Climbing down was kiri and tuk, whose hairs were literally everywhere. “We are home!” tuk announces happily, running towards jake who catched her in mid jump. “Mom, you should have joined us, it was simply wonderful,” kiri says as she smiles.
Tonowari and his family were left stunned and speechless, a dragon, in front of them!
“Come on, dont just stand there, you want to meet her?” Lo’ak says as he and neteyam go to the dragon.
“Her…?” tonowari repeats. Neytiri happily goes over to the dragon and gives her many kisses, the dragon releases what sound like pleasing purrs.
“Yes, this is…..”
The ending is up to you to interpret. But I hope you guys enjoyed it! Until next time! See ya!

Alone.
It’s been a month since you left, not knowing how much it would hurt my best friends.
Nick is devastated, but he tries to cover his pain and live happily because he knows how much you’d like it to enjoy his life, his brothers, family, friends, and everyone around him. Chris has also cried a lot; he is still in shock about your suicide. He thought everything was perfect and that you were happy, but you weren’t.
Matt didn’t believe it, until he saw me at my funeral. He could stop thinking that he could have saved me. He has been there for me since we were little. He felt like his life wouldn’t be the same. Never again. He could try again and again not to cry with every memory of us in his mind and try to remember the good things and the endless amount of time we spent together talking and laughing.
Matt couldn’t live like before. He wouldn’t leave his room, not even to eat. He would stay up all night crying and thinking of why you took that decision, how he never saw your pain, how he could have saved you. His brothers tried to speak with him but had no answer. It was useless, you were gone, but his thoughts wouldn’t let him keep in pace. He would watch your videos and photos together.
So here he was, at your apartment, one month later. He hadn’t had the courage to enter, but it was time. He stepped outside of your building, alone. The night felt endless. His body weaker. The wind breezes were cold and dry. His eyes were full of tears, begging to fall down his cheeks. He wanted to go, leave and lock himself in his room, but he also wanted answers. He unlocked your door, opened it and saw what was inside, without getting himself in. The apartment never felt so alone. Your laughs were still in the air, as were your cries. Your lonely cries. Your smell. Your memories. The night you took your own life. He entered slowly. He didn’t know where the strength of his legs to move came from. His breathing became slower, his hands started shaking, his body felt colder. He made his way to your room. Your clothes still had your smell. Your bed was unmade. Everything there had been untouched since the night you left. His lips curled into a sad smile after seeing your wall full of pictures of the two of you. He was staring at your work until something captured his attention, a letter that said, ‘For my boy’. The tears from earlier started to fall down his face. He grabbed the letter with his hands. The air started to get stuck in his throat. He began to read the piece of paper:
“Dear Matt..
I just wanted to tell you how much you mean to me. Like really, you are the most special person in the world. I love how you are always there to help and hear me. Since we first met, I knew you were meant for me. I’ve never thought that love at first sight existed until I found you. I know we are best friends but really, you are my everything. The only one who takes my breath away from just being near me. The only one who I really trust.
Every time I look at you, your features, your blue eyes that can pierce my soul, your soft, brown hair, your body, your touch that drives me crazy, your beautiful smile that makes my day by day better, your capacity to hear the others, the way you learn from your errors, how you make me soften with just your presence, you are just perfect. I think I’ve never liked someone as much as I like you.
I love you.
Y/n”
He felt horrible. You’ve always loved him, and he did too. He just didn’t tell you because he thought you might not feel the same. Maybe if he’d tell you, you might be here tonight, alive. He sat on the edge of your bed. He couldn’t stand still. He thought of you, hugging him and telling him everything was alright, that you would be here again, that this nightmare would end soon; but you weren’t. What would have happened if he had been there the night you took your own life? Would he be able to stop you? He would never know. What happened was done. You won’t come back.
Even if he wanted to.
Matt stayed there for what felt like hours. Crying alone. Hoping you will come back like nothing happened. The light of the moon was illuminating the room. His soul felt empty. His heart was broken. The image of you was the only thing on his mind.

PAC 18+ 👐🏾A Little Love Letter from your Soulmate & Twin Flame ~ Pick a Pile.
❤️A channeled Message from your future partners. Take what resonates and what doesn't. You can pick more than one pile.
Our time doesn't stop. I just wanna know how you feel about me. You wanna know how I feel about you? I dream about you all the time. I feel that our souls are already married. Can you feel it? I get this shocked feeling when I hold your hand in my dreams. I know your face. Remember that. In our past life, we were hunted down. I don't know why I said that but I guess it was meant to be said. I am your person whether or not you believe it. When you sing in the middle of the night, I can hear you. I love that curve body you got. I will be watching you over from the stars. I have incarnated myself to meet you. Can you believe that now? My sweet love ❤️, Do you remember me? You told me that you remember. How can you forget? You and I are the same. Our soul is the same. I don't like labels. Or you might like labels. You probably consider me a rebel but I’m not I just don't like labels. You and I share the same soul. You know that right? I feel that you run away from me because you're scared. No need to be. I got you. I won't let you fall. Of course, you dream about other dudes, and you think that they are husbands but they are not. I am your fucking husband. You piss me off when you don't believe it. You think I can't hear you, but I do. That shit hurts my feelings when you do. Sometimes I distance myself away from you because you push me away. Not me… You! I raise my voice at you, but I tried to call you, but you didn't answer me. Ugh, shit sucks. We are telepathically connected can you feel that? I know this may scare you but I know your name. I know your name seriously. But I am not going to say it. Look at that 3:33. I like it when you dress up so beautifully. Thank you so much, for taking care of yourself. I am glad you are eating. I feel that we should talk more about our life together. Our future life. I have a good feeling that our love lives here will be perfect. I know you see me as a baby daddy. I know I got kids but at the end of the day. My kids are taken care of. You shouldn't be worrying about our kids. That's right I said it my kids are your kids too. We are a family together. From another life before us, you tried to escape with me. But we were caught, I have dreams about our life before. It was just bad. But the good part is I was with you. No matter if I were send-off to war at that time. See! Our clock is going clockwise. Sing to me, my love. Do you dream about our life too? You are such a brilliant person. When I was a young child I manifest you, I remembered watching fairytale movies with my sibling dreaming that is us on the television. I am your beast and you are my beauty. My heart has been cold 🎿 Can you warm 🔅 it up? I love it when you rough me up in your dreams. My dominance-Matrix. Sorry, I tried to be sexy with my words. Obviously, that didn't work. I am such a geek 🤓. Hey, do you watch Revenge of the Nerds? Booger is my favorite character the way he burps is fucking awesome. Haha 😂. We got something in common. Your dreams are my dreams. I am coming to you. Can I cuddle next to you? I wanna touch your soft skin. That makes me feel so happy. I know you are an aggressive woman. But I don't care! Call me bad names, and tied me down if you have. Unleash the monster out of you. 😉😜. Are you ready for your kiss with me? I wrote you this love letter for you. I know you might not wanna hear this I wanna talk to you. Your other father from your past life is saying sorry for locking you up in that castle. My darling, I want you to be okay. I love you very much. He comes to me in my dreams sometimes. But anyway, please don't be mad at me. I am your husband. I miss your voice, and I miss everything about you. I have a breeding kink. So you are going to carry my kids. That's a guarantee.
Hey, chocolate drip 💧 how are you? I'm sorry 💔 that I wasn't ready. I know I send you the wrong message in your dream. Just know that I love every minute of it. Hanging out with you, and hearing your voice. It sounded sexy to me. That shit turns me on. Woah, do you know how sexy you are? You wake up sexy. I've been feeling drained lately. My energy has been drained. I have my good days and I have my bad days. You're my soulmate. I know you don't like labels but I like it. I've been emotional, and I just wanna cry 😭. I wake up thinking about you. I just needed someone to talk to. I still feel alone. I feel that nobody gets me. I tried to put a smile on my face. I feel that someone is after me, I don't know if it bad way or a good way. Look it's 10:10. I'm glad I'm talking to you. You're my new beginning. My fresh start. I know I wasn't ready. I got scared 😱. I was frightened to meet you. I know I let my fear get in the way between us but not this time. I know this sounds fucking weird but I am glad you are being patient with me💞. I am glad you are not running away from me. I can't believe I daydream about you all the time. What would you be like? What kind of future you and I will have? What our babies would look like? I have so many questions to ask you, my dear. See, when I talk to you, I don't think about my problems ⚠️ like that. Your energy, light, and your whole aura just make me happy. I feel all giggling now. Hahaha 🥹😂. I just wanted to talk to you. So how did you sleep? Did you dream about me? I dreamt about you. You are my divine counterpart. I can hear your sweet voice in my head saying my feelings matter. I haven't been okay. Sorry for bringing the mood down. Who am I to tell you to wait on me? Of course, I want you to go out there and fucking date people. You get it. I didn't say to date someone I said people in general. I don't care if I sound possessive or clingy. But I am clingy to you. Everything on your body is mine. It's like you mindfuck me. In a good way. I am not telling you to wait, but I'm hoping 🙏🏾 that you wait. I am truly praying that you wait. Anyways, good morning to you. Or should I say Grand Rising🔅? I pray 🙏🏾 for you all the time. You know that right every single day I pray for you. I hope you can hear my prayers🙏🏾. Anyways, I love you. I wanna tell you my life story. I mean you know some of it because of what I told the world about and the media. But I still feel shut down. I've been doing a lot of self-work on myself. Like literally been doing shadow work. I have been recognizing a lot of my bullshit, people's fakeness, and my trauma.
Oooh, Hii! Baby. I feel so excited talking to you. It's like you are my energy drink. It's been an honor talking to you. I hope you are having a good day. I remember when I was young I used to draw little hearts ❤️ because I thought about my future wife as a child. So now I'm all grown up. How do you feel about us? How do you feel hearing this story? I have been manifesting you for a very long time. I never thought you exist but you do. Sometimes my friends laugh at me. But do I pay any of those bitches no mind? Hell, the fuck no. They think I'm delusional and you don't exist. You only exist in my head. Hear how that shit sounds. Fucking dumb right? Anyways. Yesterday!! 🤗💯 I hugged you, did you feel it? Our Love is like Disney movies 🎬 but ten times better than any other Disney movies. I've been healing myself. We are going to have a successful life. I love that we are going to be successful. Our connection is fate and we are each other’s destiny. So allow me to introduce myself.
I have a little message to tell you. I just wanna say that I have a huge crush on you. Do You know why I say that? Is because I had a dream about you. I finally saw who you are. Your face is gorgeous. You have the most beautiful face in the world🌸. Can I give you a rose 🌹? I wrote you this letter because I want you to remember that you are something special to me. You are very special. The way how I feel about you. I want you right now. Everything about you brights up my world. I wish that I was right there next to you. Good morning to you. You gave me so much hope. You are such a positive and great human being. You are so caring for the world👐🏾. Baby 👶🏾, are you pregnant? Not yet huh ❔ well you will be soon. I have a breeding kink. I love getting you pregnant. So the way you care for children, makes me feel that you should have kids of your own. I'm glad you are waiting patiently. I love you so much. You are my love. ❤️❤️🌹Will you take my rose? As an honor of my appreciation to you. I appreciate you.
We are each other's perfect match. We are each other's equal. You belong with me forever. See! I said it because you are my favorite person in the world to me. How are you feeling today? Is everything okay, I hope that it is. Because if it isn't, please let me know. I'll put a spell on these fools who are hurting you. I'm not kidding around. I do magic ✨. So again if anyone is bothering you. Just wink 😉 at me. I'll get the message. But anyway enough of that negativity. I hope you are waking up doing yoga. Meditating and just relaxing your mind. I do yoga sometimes. I always meditate because meditation helped me. I was in your shoes before. I was in a dark place but now I realize that I can't fucking seat around and just wait for the universe help me grow. I told myself I want to grow. So I made it my mission to change my life around. Now I feel better. That doesn't mean I don't have bad days but I'm good 🌟. So again, my love I want you to focus on yourself, their problem isn't your problem. Whoever got the drama, don't fucking get involved. That shit pissed me off. So you better begin a new change in your life baby. Anyways that's my message to you. Grow baby, Grow! Not for me, your family, or your friends but for yourself. Have better self-control. Whenever you feel down, angry or sad, or just not in the mood. Go ahead and talk to me🥲. I always talk to you. Listen to my message.

When the Hogwarts letter first got delivered, she wasn’t surprised. She was a pureblood, her parents being some of the most known people in the wizarding world. Her family didn’t have the best reputation, they were known followers of the dark lord, however neither of them were taken to Azkaban. They had influence in the wizarding world, much like the Malfoys. The first trip to Diagon Alley was exciting, Y/N running into a few first year students that she had met before at parties.
She had ended up shopping the whole day with Draco, Theodore, Mattheo, Pansy and Astoria. The six of them chatted about their summers and how excited they were to go to Hogwarts. They all knew that they’d get sorted into Slytherin, getting themselves excited about learning more about magic than they had learned from their parents. Eventually they all parted ways, heading back to their families and returning home. Every one of them were counting down the days until September 1st.
Y/N was so excited the night before that she couldn’t even sleep, having already packed all of her things, she instead sat on her bed and read a book until it was time to leave. Once arriving at King's Cross Station, she excitedly led her parents to Platform 9 ¾ where she met up with all of her friends. She hugged both of her parents, kissing their cheeks goodbye before getting onto the train. They had taken over one of the compartments, lounging around as they talked excitedly about Hogwarts.
As her adrenaline had begun to wind down, her eyes got heavy, closing slowly before her head dropped onto the shoulder next to her. Theodore was a bit startled at first but then realized that it was just Y/N who had fallen asleep on his shoulder. He knew how she was, when she was excited she couldn’t sleep until her body caught up with her, only then she was able to fall asleep.
She had slept the whole train ride, no matter how loud the compartment got, only waking when Theo had gently shook her when they arrived at Hogsmeade's station. She let out a quiet yawn, her arms stretching above her head as she stood up. “Sorry for sleeping on you Theo. I guess I was just really tired,” She apologized.
“It’s okay, didn’t bother me. M’glad you slept a little bit before we got to Hogwarts. You would’ve fallen asleep at the table,” Theo joked, grabbing their suitcases from the top rack and leading the way out of the train. She tried to grab her suitcase from him but he was quick to snatch it away from her. “I don’t think so, principessa. A lady never carries her own bag.”
They were led by Hagrid to the boats which took them to the castle itself. She had only heard about the beauties of the castle but to actually witness it made her speechless. It was so much more beautiful than she imagined. It sat majestically on a hillside in the Highlands, surrounded by forests and water. She was in complete awe of the sight, taking in the beauty as they got closer.
Actually getting into the castle made her feel so small, the ceilings were taller than she expected, looking up as the group of first years followed Professor McGonagall. She went through the sorting ceremony with them before leading them into the great hall. She was mystified by the candles and the ceiling, bumping into the boy in front of her due to the lack of her paying attention. “Sorry, Draco,” She said absentmindedly.
The boy just brushed it off as they waited to be called for their sorting. Draco being sorted into Slytherin before the hat had even touched his head. She was the last on out of all of her friends to get sorted, right after Theo. “Y/N Y/L/N,” McGonagall called her name. She took a breath before walking up to the stool, sitting down and getting the ancient hat placed on her head.
“Ahh, you’re another tough one! You could do great things in all of the houses! Shall we take your lineage into consideration? A descendant of Salazar Slytherin himself. I’ve got just the place for you,” The hat rambled, she smirked knowing where she was being sorted, “Better be Slytherin!”
She happily skipped her way over to the Slytherin table where all of her friends were sitting, finding her place between Mattheo and Theo. Both boys threw their arms around her, sitting as Dumbledore began his speech. The group waits until the feast is announced before digging in and trying a little bit of everything. All of them completely stuffed as they followed their prefect to the dungeons and the Slytherin common room. Instead of listening, she was more focused on watching the creatures of the Black Lake swim by the window.
She walked towards the window, getting closer so she could see the creatures better. She hadn’t realized how long she was there for until Pansy tapped her shoulder, breaking her from her daze. “It’s almost midnight and we have class in the morning. Come to bed,” Pansy informed her.
“I hadn’t even noticed. Thank you Pans,” She smiled at her friend, taking her hand as the two of them walked together to their dorm. Their beds were right next to each other, her cat sleeping peacefully on her pillows. The two girls getting changed into their pajamas quickly before getting into bed. Y/N’s cat let out a protesting meow before crawling onto her chest and promptly falling asleep. Y/N following soon after, her dreams filled with all of the things she wished to do.

author’s note; I love him so much so much, I’m just gonna leave this here. I love him (art by @/rrokii42, their art is insanely crunchy!!)
“Checkmate, I win again.” Wirth snickered as you were left speechless, it was the third game of the night, lasting for 30 minutes per chess session. You were left bewildered. “And I wasn’t even taking it seriously, I was already giving clues. Are you really this bad or is it naturally because I’m better than you?,” He boasts once again. “I’m not that bad! It’s just that you have way more experience! Plus are we always just gonna play chess, the night’s still young.” you told him about it. Tilting his head, Wirth asked what exactly were you implying “Well, what do you even want to do?” “I don’t know, you decide.”
You and Wirth have been good friends for a while, simply because of your families having an amazing relationship. He knew all about you. You knew about him. He was always there for you during the times you were down or just couldn’t take it anymore, and so were you for him. People were honestly wondering why you two weren’t dating yet, and you did not know how to answer that question. You liked him so much, it was killing you. But you play it off pretty well, because he didn’t recognize it yet. He seemed so oblivious to you— wrong. He likes you so much. He visits you everyday at your dorm just to play chess with you because he likes your presence and he’ll never forget how your defeated face looks . He thinks it’s cute. He’ll also pretend not to get a math lesson just so you teach him for a few minutes straight because he likes hearing your voice, pulling you with that “I still don’t get it” card so you teach him all about it again so he hears your voice more. He also likes it when you comfort him, a lot. So much that he’ll keep his tears out of sight and once he’s with you— he starts crying. Because it was what he was used to growing up with you.
So it was safe to say that you both are oblivious to each other— not knowing what you two truly felt together. Wirth ultimately loves you, and so do you. But… You always sought ways for him to “like you back”. From anonymous letters, to sending him corny math jokes, bringing him lunch, showing your forbidden collection. It was already clear. A few days ago, Wirth read one of the jokes written on a piece of paper saying, “It’s always x and y, why not u and i?” Wirth was about to burst out laughing from what he just read till you ran at him like a mad gremlin, “Gimme that!” you snatched the paper from him as he burst out laughing while reading it once again. “Why so mad? I mean it was pretty funny after all, corny most of it.” Wirth chuckles at you, a blushing mess right now. You did try, but he made a laughing stock out of it— so you thought. He thinks to himself, why should he keep his feelings from you when the message is clear— you like him; too.
So, Wirth decides to visit you— a Friday night of all nights. Doing your usual, playing chess and eating sweets. Yet this night was different from all the others, you offered to do something else; new, Wirth thinks to himself. Nevertheless, he agreed. You were getting predictable anyways. He would do anything just to find another game to play with you rather than chess.
“Alright, let’s play something else.” Wirth concludes. “What else is there to play rather than chess? It’s literally the only thing we know how to play…” You sighed, he responded to you with a mundane tone. “Let’s just talk, maybe you know… Let it all go?” you chuckled at his words. “Maybe, it’s better than chess…” you smiled at him, Wirth sighed as he lay down on your bed. “Hey! I didn’t allow you to sleep on my bed!” you protested. “Your bed feels more comfortable. I can feel it…” “I don’t take excuses for granted, Wirth. Now get outta my bed ....”
“You already know that my dad’s mean, Wirth— why’d you gotta remind me?” you sighed as he responded, slightly chuckling, “Well, it just came to my mind, nothing special really.” He slowly moved closer to you, as his face was literally inches away from yours, he mumbled “You’re nothing like him. You’re nothing like anyone— at all. When dad used to play favorites on me and my brother, who did you like better?” “You, obviously. He kinda acts like a robot though..” you said jokingly. “But, Wirth. Just saying, no offense to him though.” Wirth bit his tongue, then suddenly laughed. “See, I knew you liked me better. Honestly, I hoped you did.” He chuckles, “This is getting insanely boring now. I want to do something.” He gestures himself closer to you. “Do you want to kiss?” He asked without hesitation. “What the heck? Are you out of your mind..?” You raised your eyebrow. “It’s to ease boredom! I swear I’m not gonna say anything after.” he responded. “Well, if it can ease boredom…”
You don’t know how you landed in this situation. Wirth was kissing you, you were seated on his lap with your arms over his shoulders. His lips brushed against yours as you two were trying to catch your breaths as you were entangled in your heated kiss. His lips felt like soft silk against yours as you felt a soft tickle on your nose. He pulled away after a while, then chuckled. “You truly love me, don’t you? Because I love you, so much.” You responded with a simple smile, more than enough for him. “I love you too, Wirth Madl.” You gleamed with joy.
"I'm serious about the word "I love you". If ever you don't think so, love me, because it's only u and i in this world.”

Got thinking in the night about Ed in episode 7 and why he regrets that they rushed into things the night before. At the beginning of the episode, he's come to a decision about his leathers (his Blackbeard days) and puts them aside and is calm about it.
In the first scenes of the episode, he's open and at peace and talking to Stede about his golden merman who saved his life. They're having a nice time together, eating out, chatting, talking about Stede's letters, even giving pointers at Stede's Regional Debut 2.0.
The change comes in a mirror of the Chauncey scene in episode 9 - Jackie (a figure from Ed's old life) making observations that Stede's star is on the rise, things have changed and "do you think *he* knows that?" about Ed's desire to be a normal dude and Ed whispers "shit."
For the rest of the episode, we see Ed quietly sitting with himself, thinking. He's sitting at the quayside watching the fisherfolk. He even talks to Izzy about getting rid of his leathers and how it felt "fucking great" and Izzy tells him maybe he needs to listen to that.
The fact he turns to fish and fishing as his processing mechanism speaks measures. He needs that association: that stillness and quiet so he can just process everything that has happened in the past 24 hours. And it's a lot. It's so much and this is where the regrets creep in.
Stede eventually comes to find him after "the best day" and immediately clocks that Ed doesn't sound happy. Ed has had the whole day of turning things over and has realised how unsteady he's feeling about it all and finally tells Stede "I don't want to be a pirate anymore".
And this is where the regret comes in. It's not about them sleeping together. It's about them rushing into it when he's realised he still has so much to work out. And it's why he's chosen to become a fisherman - a job that he feels will let him sit and process quietly.
Yes, it's a rapid-fire decision from Stede's POV, but from Ed's POV it has been building up slowly from the beginning of episode 6, when he was dealing with some pretty intense flashbacks including his father's death, all the maiming of Izzy and when he almost killed the whole crew. Then a figure from his pirate life came in and made things so much worse.
He *needs* space from the pirate life and he can't know he'll get it on the Revenge, especially not now that Stede is the Republic's rising star. He is removing himself from a situation where his past keeps coming back to find him, living in plain sight, unnoticed and *quiet*.
Only he doesn't explain this to Stede. Yes, he says he doesn't want to be a pirate, but he doesn't explain what's changed and why, only that he's getting the hell out of dodge. And Stede absolutely doesn't get it and is understandably angry and hurt about it.
When Stede calls him coward, it's coloured by his own experience - he called himself a coward about the way he abandoned his own life and family for a job he knows nothing about. He doesn't realise that Ed is doing the same thing for a not-completely-different reason.
"Fishermen and pirates have nothing in common" Ed tells him. The subtext being "we don't have anything in common anymore". Stede is becoming the thing that Ed is trying to escape and to Stede, Ed is abandoning him on a whim. There's so much misunderstanding going on.
It definitely doesn't help that Stede has gone into the pirate life with this glamorous fantasy of what it is to be a "proper pirate", even though Ed said "yeah, they're pirates" when Stede observed how troubled all Ed's friends are. Stede needs to lose the rose-tinted glasses (and also acknowledge that maybe, possibly, there's a vague chance - shocking concept - that he is quite troubled himself)
They've been talking at cross-purposes so much. Ed tends to hide his real emotions in metaphors that Stede doesn't catch, while Stede tends to bottle up his - he has been crushing down so much all season and they. need. to. talk. but properly because they are both a mess.
And Stede, when pushed, will eventually break and do deeply stupid things because his self-worth and self-preservation is in the dirt. It's why he fights Zheng when he knows she's far superior to him. It's why Izzy tried to get him out of there before it kicked off.
As Izzy astutely observed, he and Ed balance each other out. Without each other, they swing to extremes that become dangerous to themselves and others. They need to have the time to sit down and *talk things through* instead of charging on headlong. They need to take it slow.
Only circumstances don't allow that. Everything keeps on coming and they just haven't had the time. Ed *isn't* wrong about needing some space to process his stuff. It's just that they picked the worst possible way to discuss it with each other and everything fell apart.

As the evening draws in, others arrive at the house. It’s been nice, just Evie and I, for the hour alone that we had, once my family left and I finally showered the smell of grass from my body.
We laughed together while preparing the oven snacks that are now laid out on plates on the table, being picked at by people whose surnames I’ve already begun forgetting. It was sad too, in a way, being happy with Evie, and living out some kind of domestic fantasy where she burns the spring rolls and I tell her it’s okay, because I’m a dustbin of a man and I’ll truly eat anything, and maybe later, before going to bed we would brush our teeth together and flash each other frothy smiles in the mirror.
I considered kissing a flake of pastry off her lip, too, in a temporary burst of madness, before remembering it would be among the worst ideas I ever had. It was just as well I didn’t, because the doorbell was ringing, and four people from school were waiting outside.
Now, in the light of the golden sunset, we’re apart, as I, on the lawn, listen to a group of guys talk about the college offers pushed through their letter boxes this morning, and Evie sits with Tara Neary and her gang at the patio table and does her best to include herself. I hope they don’t tell her about the weird stuff I did at school, but chances are, they’ve already been through the highlight reel.
They all turn to look as the patio door swings open and Michelle comes out and down the steps towards me. To my great surprise, she greets me with a hug.
“Sorry, we’re a bit late,” she says. “Jen had a thing about her hair.”
“Ah, classic Jen,” I glance over her shoulder, and spot that signature flash of red in the kitchen. I’m uneasy, knowing I’ll have to have a grim conversation with her later, but later is later, and now, Michelle is smiling in a way I’m almost sure she never has, surveying the little crowd that has gathered in the garden.
“A good few showed up after all, didn’t they?”
“I think they wanted to see what the inside of my house looked like, to be honest.”
“Don’t be like that! They wanted to give you a proper sendoff, to wish you well on your big adventure.”
“Oh, yeah. That whole thing.”
“Are you nervous?”
I smirk. “Yeah, it’s my first time on a plane. I’m shitting it.”
She rolls her eyes. “You know I’m not talking about the flight.”
“I’m trying not to think about it, to be honest,” and my eyes, once again, find Evie through the crowd. “I’ll just get on the plane, and I’ll let it all sink in when I’m there.”
“Makes sense, in some sort of way, I suppose.”
“The whole thing is surreal,” I admit. “Like, tomorrow, before midday, I’ll be there. Like, I’ll live there. It seems like too much change all at the same time.”
“It’s what you wanted,” she reminds me. “And if you don’t like it, just come home.”
“I doubt I’ll come home. I think that’d be, like, the biggest failure of my life.”
“Worse than losing me?” She says, and I baulk, before she cracks a grin, “God, I was joking.”
I break into a laugh. “Nah, actually you know what was worse than that? Losing Goose.”
“Oh God,” she covers her mouth with her hands, “the Goose of it all. How could I forget about him? Do you have a theory about what happened?”
I grimace. “I want to be realistic, but that also means I don’t really want to speculate, because, I mean… Most likely…”
“Fucking hell, you know, I’ll never forget that…”
As we talk, and catch up and laugh with one another in ways that we haven’t for a decade, I lose track of time, and don’t pay attention to the sun that dips below the horizon. The evening moths vanish from the garden, and the stars rise and the summer dies, and my last day in Ireland ends without me even noticing.

it took very little encouragement to convince me so as described in this post here is the fake aita post i wrote from barty's pov while writing call me fate, call me karma... this was all written in jest, i do not use reddit nor care at all to try make this realistic to anything ever <3 don't take anything too seriously.
tw // transphobic & homophobic slurs used by a hostile commenter who faces immediate backlash/punishment. slurs are both censored and target identities to which i as the author belong to.
WIBTA for questioning my GF's distant behaviour when she clearly doesn't want to talk about it? ESH, 1 Update, [THIS POST HAS BEEN LOCKED]
I (18M) have been with my girlfriend (18F) for over 3 years now, and we'd been close friends for 4 years before that. We go to a boarding school, and due to the girls in our house and year being shitty, she moved into the boy's dorm with our friend and I before we even got together, and we're in our last year of school now before we graduate. We practically spend all our time together and our relationship is very strong, we've avoided talking too much about plans after graduation because we both come from very restrictive families (Without going into too much detail, we both face very specific expectations for what our adult lives will look like) and our relationship is a secret from everyone but our close friends, but I can see myself spending the rest of my life with her. She's everything to me and I've always gotten the idea that she feels the same about me, and honestly, whatever she wants to do after we graduate, I'd follow her. I don't really care where I go/what I do as long as it means I'm with her. I can't imagine life without her.
Lately, she's been acting really strangely. I guess it started during exams, but that's normal for her. We're both pretty academic people but she especially devotes everything into her schoolwork, so it wasn't a surprise when she was distant in the lead-up to and in the midst of our final exams. She didn't talk much, and spent practically all of her waking time studying. (Side note, she did amazing on the exams. I'm super proud of her.)
After, though, she was still distant. She started receiving letters at breakfast which she'd quickly hide, and never read in front of anyone. Sometimes she'd excuse herself entirely from breakfast, assumedly to read them, and wouldn't eat at all. She's been antsy and visibly stressed more often than not. Like I mentioned before, she has a difficult family life, and I'm not surprised that she's nervous in the time leading up to graduation, but usually she'd talk to me at least a little about that sort of thing. Plus, I know what letters from her family look like, and these letters look nothing like anything she'd ever received before. She's been less physically affectionate than usual, and sometimes she shows up after disappearing randomly looking like she's just been crying. I'm really worried about her, but I know that if she wanted to talk to me about it, she would, and she's been insistently ignoring any indication of concern from our friends or I. Even the slightest questioning look, she completely shuts it down. I don't want to upset her by bringing it up, because that's not really the way we function as a couple, but I'm starting to feel hopeless. We don't really talk about our issues, and when we do "communicate" it's only ever when we argue about things. I'm also really worried that I've done something wrong, or that she doesn't want to stay with me. I don't want to admit it because it scares me too much, but I can't help the nagging fear in the back of my mind.
Basically, I'm trying to ask if I should mention it, or if I should wait for her to say something on her own? Something has to happen eventually, because we've both known at least with graduation that we do need to decide on what we're going to do with that, so maybe I should just wait for it all to come up. There's only a few more weeks until we're set to go home, so I could probably just hold on. It's just really worrying me and I don't know how much longer I can handle the uncertainty, and I don't want her to be struggling alone. Would I be TA for bringing it up?
(122 DOWN)
Sounds like you guys need to learn how to communicate, holy shit. (467 UP)
If you're just gonna be a dick I don't want to hear it. This is just how we function and we've been fine for years. (531 DOWN)
I don't think you'd be TA for bringing it up, but in general it sounds like your relationship is somewhat codependent. Your entire life shouldn't be reliant on what she wants to do, bro. Sounds like you need therapy. (271 UP)
Look, I just want to be with her, okay? I've never cared about what I do. I don't see the issue, you're all overreacting. (113 DOWN)
It sounds to me like she's cheating on you, dude. (364 UP)
Fuck you. You don't fucking know her. She wouldn't do that, and I don't like you suggesting that she would. I'd beat the shit out of you if I knew who you really were. (210 DOWN)
Looking through these replies, you're being super defensive. Maybe she has a perfectly innocent explanation, but the main theme here is that you both have some issues that you need to work through. This isn't a healthy way for either of you to live, I recommend individual and/or couples therapy for both if possible. (545 UP)
Whatever, man. Not the god damn point of this point. If I knew Reddit would be so useless I wouldn't have bothered posting here in the first place. (478 DOWN)
Update
Hahaaaaa!! Fuck you guys. Reddit is fucking useless, but I'm here because I want to shove it in the face of everyone who told me I was being cheated on. Fuck you!! You don't know shit about my relationship!! I don't need therapy, assholes!! Me and my boyfriend are perfectly okay the way we are!!! Yeah, that's right, boyfriend! He's just trans!! He realised it during exams and freaked out because he was worried about losing me but he didn't lose me because I don't give a fuck if he's a girl or a boy I wanna spend the rest of my life with him!! The letters were between him and his estranged brother (19M), who'd ran away a few years ago because he hated their family, but he's gay, and my boyfriend didn't know who else to reach out to. And he'd been crying all the time because he was dealing with fixing his relationship with his brother and he was scared of what would happen after he came out. I didn't even need to bring it up, he finally told me! He finally told his brother a few days ago after exchanging letters for a few weeks, and told me after getting a letter back from his brother accepting him. His parents wouldn't accept him, so we're discussing fucking off away from our families and moving in together. Like I told you guys, I'd do whatever as long as I could stay with him, so that's what we're doing! We might be moving in with his brother for a bit while we find somewhere to live, which will be interesting, because he doesn't know we're together, and he hates me, and i kinda hate him too still for abandoning my boyfriend, but I'm willing to give him another shot if my boyfriend is. Anyways we're doing better than ever and I gave him a haircut and he looks amazing, I love him so much.
(73 UP)
Happy for you and him both but that doesn't negate the fact that you both still need therapy. Especially if he has to cut his parents off because they wouldn't accept him. You didn't give many details, but if his brother ran away (assumedly as a minor) because of their parents, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it was an abusive environment. Even if not, therapy is still good. (175 UP)
Why would he need therapy if he's literally cutting them off lol. They're gone now it doesn't even matter anymore. (313 DOWN)
I truly am glad that it worked out well between you guys but it's so crazy reading these and all your comments. I mean this in the best way possible, you are both mentally ill. Therapy is a good thing. Just try it. (231 UP)
Jfccc you guys worry too much. I shouldn't have even bothered with this update. (282 DOWN)
Got invested just to find out she's a delusional tr***y and you're a f****t, wow. (278 DOWN)
192.158.1.38, Mr. John Doe. 123 Maple Street. Anytown, PA 17101 (263 UP)
Thanks OP for doing the hard part of the work for me, a swat team is currently on route to his house. (182 UP)
Thanks, mate. I knew there had to be some decent people on this website. (101 UP)
#this is Sooo Dumb#SO fun to write though#i highly recommend doing this it actually helped me a lot#i love writing characters that are objectively wrong. go king reject any suggestion of therapy!! you ate that trauma up!!#barty 'i'd beat the shit out of you irl' crouch jr#bartylus#barty crouch jr#regulus black#series: i'll try anything once

Beauty in the Fold (SPOILERS)
I saw The Outsiders (Broadway version) over the weekend and I have so many thoughts. I've never read the book (I will) or seen the movie, but I completely fell in love with the story. I knew Johnny and Ponyboy had a special friendship, but watching Johnny die and seeing Ponyboy (who was an incredible understudy) absolutely shatter nearly broke me. He sat parked in front of their small tv, silent and motionless, save for turning the tv back on when Darry turned it off. I don't blame Darry for turning it off, he wanted Pony to break out of his catatonia, but Pony needed more than tough love. He needed something to ground himself. He needed to feel Johnny near him again. Receiving Johnny's vest from Cherry (which was a nice touch) gave him the physical closure he needed in an incredibly vulnerable moment. He buried his face in the material and breathed in Johnny's scent, realizing how much he missed it. You could see the weight lifting off his shoulders. I forget how much time the brothers say had passed before that moment, but my gut says two weeks. Ponyboy hasn't physically touched anything relating to Johnny for two whole weeks, and they most likely spent every day together. The book also hints that Johnny would spend nights with the Curtis brothers when his house became too volatile. These boys were brothers. Losing Johnny felt like losing a family member.
Stay Gold was obviously heartbreaking, but also beautifully staged. Johnny starting from across the stage and slowly making his way over as Ponyboy acknowledges him was a perfect demonstration of their relationship in this moment. Ponyboy tried to move on by himself, but he needed one more moment with Johnny. The letter gave him that moment. He needed to know Johnny didn't blame him for what happened at the fountain or the church---that his best friend would do everything the same way if given the option because brothers protect each other, even with their lives. Seeing the two boys slide onto the car in synch felt like Johnny was Pony's guardian angel, his shadow, guiding him through this moment. We see Johnny walk into the sunset (of his life) at the end of the song, but we also see Ponyboy rejoin his brothers at the table and eat dinner with them, symbolically beginning his healing journey. These are the stories we need right now. We need to see people, especially young people, endure tremendous heartbreak and overcome insurmountable odds and make it to the other side. We need to see that, given the right support system, anyone can heal.
I imagine Pony, after that day, wakes up extra early in the mornings and goes to the park to watch the sunrise. He writes letters, stories, and poems about his life. He also talks to Johnny. There's never anyone else around now that the Greasers rule the park, and they all understand Pony's ritual, so he speaks out loud to Johnny. He tells him about his life, their friends, and what all happens in Tulsa. Talking to Johnny heals him, makes him feel less gone. He talks to Dally too, but not as often. Their relationship is complicated. Ponyboy describes every sunrise, though he's sure Johnny sees them all. He continues this ritual into college and beyond, always making time for the boy who gave everything for him. It takes some bartering with the police, but Ponyboy also gets Johnny's knife, which he never cleans, afraid to wash away the memories embedded in it. The healing process is slow and arduous, but Ponyboy does eventually heal and create a life for himself, bringing his best friend along every step of the way.

I realized I never made a thorough post about my experience at the Unitarian Universalist church. I’ve attended several times now and I honestly don’t even know how to sum it up. Here’s an attempt:
At the UU church, all the leadership members introduce themselves with their pronouns. The reverend uses she/they and has a trans teenage son. Today their stole (the scarf-like thing clergy wear) had the trans pride flag emblazoned on it.
At the UU church, I wrote my pronouns (they/them) in large letters on the name tag I wear every week. No one has batted an eye. I am openly nonbinary. Everyone is unfazed.
At the UU church, there are queer people everywhere. I am no longer the only non-cishet person in the room. Far from it.
At the UU church, there is signage explicitly stating that it is a safe and accepting space for LGBTQ people.
At the UU church, so many people expressed worries this week for queer people, for immigrants, for other people impacted by the new administration. It was candidly discussed during our secular meditation group.
At the UU church, congregants are not united by shared religious beliefs, but by shared values, which include equality, inclusivity, valuing human life and the planet.
At the UU church, on my first day, I met Christians, Buddhists, pagans, atheists, and practitioners of various eclectic spiritualities. (Including many exmormons!) None of whom had any problem including each other in their community.
At the UU church, God is rarely mentioned and they don’t fixated on gaining salvation and exaltation; instead they talk a lot about how we treat people and how we can make the world better.
At the UU church, today the little story about animals having a soup party shared for the children was focused on inclusivity and included a they/them fox.
At the UU church, today the reverend asked us to imagine what kind of world we wanted to create together and handed around the microphone. People talked about a world where healthcare is a human right, where schoolchildren are safe, where borders are not more important than people and families. When I took the microphone and added, “Where politicians don’t get to declare that my identity doesn’t exist,” the entire congregation cheered and yelled YES and AMEN.
At the UU church, though she does not mention politicians by name or tell people how to vote, the reverend encourages people to be politically active. Not the way Mormonism does, by sending out a formal letter during big elections, but by reminding people to call their representatives, to vote in elections big and small, to show up to school board and city council meetings.
At the UU church, they coordinate with other churches to provide transportation, meals, showers, and overnight sleeping spaces to homeless people, with the UU church sanctuary taking its turn being used for that purpose once a week. (Try to picture Mormons doing that—allowing homeless people to sleep in their buildings.)
At the UU church, they’ve adopted a refugee family and an elementary school in a low income area and do fundraising and provide assistance for both.
At the UU church, there are so many groups and efforts focusing on different ways of making the world better that I have a hard time even knowing where to start.
At the UU church, instead of demanding people starve themselves to show their obedience and loyalty to God, first Sundays of the month include a lovely soup lunch fundraiser for the youth group. I love this monthly event, where I get to sit with different people and eat and talk. And if you don’t want to or can’t pay, there are always coffee, tea, and snacks provided free at every meeting.
At the UU church, they start and end with the lighting/extinguishing of a flame instead of a prayer.
At the UU church, the congregation is alive. People laugh, cheer, clap, do call-and-responses with the leaders. We are invited to stand or sit for songs as we wish. Every meeting involves some kind of opt-in ritual or extra fun thing; you can light a candle, add water to the water fountain, write a note in a book saying what you’re struggling with or what joys you’ve had lately—all those are every week—and then some of the once in a while things we’ve done include choosing a percussion instrument to accompany the day’s songs (I got to play hand drums today!), standing at a side table to wrap care packages for homeless folks while the reverend spoke, or coming up to the front to write a worry on dissolving paper and drop it into a bowl of water. It’s just so fucking fun. Nothing like the boring, enforced silence of the congregation in the Mormon church.
At the UU church, people swear. People drink coffee or tea. People have whatever piercings they want and wear sleeveless shirts if they want, and “church clothes” can be anything you want. At the UU church, the idea of your religious leaders dictating all these things and even your underwear is completely baffling. It’s hard to see how such infantilizing nonsense ever made sense to me.
At the UU church, I am welcomed with genuine friendliness, but not pressured to formally become a member. No one is harassing me to commit to baptism or declaring that this is the only path to salvation/true happiness/whatever. I’ve met quite a few people who’ve been attending for years but are still not formal members, and everyone is fine with that.
At the UU church, people are encouraged to donate (to pay the reverend who is a professional instead of a voluntold rando doing unpaid labor, to pay for the building, etc) but tithing isn’t a thing. No “Give 10% of your income or you’re stealing from God!!!”
At the UU church, I don’t think I’ve heard the word “repentance” once. It’s just not part of the worldview. Neither is “sin.” Or “redemption.”
At the UU church, rather than being taught humans are inherently sinful and in need of saving and unable to rely on our own strength or anyone’s strength but God’s, I am taught that humans are inherently good and valuable and powerful in our ability to make a difference together.
In short: Unitarian Universalism is an entirely different world than Mormonism. If you haven’t had the chance to attend a UU church I’d recommend trying it at least once. It has soothed my religious trauma in some ways, and I am starting to love the community there. I don’t know if I will ever become a formal member of any religion again (probably not), but I like this a lot.
#and frankly i NEEDED that accepting community today. after the political bullshit lately. it’s just good to be with likeminded folks#exmo#unitarian universalism#long post#i don’t even live in a very leftist area btw. i thought this area was a sea of red but i roll up to the UU church and BAM#blue hair and pronouns everywhere#so even if you live in a conservative area. you might still find a good community this way
