Anon, thank you for this question because it made us sit down and actually look through the albums of my old art and write a list LOL We thought it’d take like 30 minutes tops + 10 minutes to write all of this down, but it took 2+ hours yikes… So sorry, no other replies today :(

And made us realise just how much we revisit certain fandoms 🤦‍♂️ I guess we’re loyal!

Some of them were just very brief phases when we watched/rewatched something, I drew like 5 sketches for this thing and we moved on after about a week. But it was still prominent enough for us to feel like “Oh right, Ryu was drawing (this) back then”. Damn, 2013-2016 were insane, we were jumping around so much… When did these people have time to watch and draw so much shit??

Your Loving Touch Is All I Need

Time always seems to stop when Geralt is with Jaskier. His boyfriend will lie in bed with him, not filling the space between them with words. Instead, they will just look at him, run their careful fingers along his jaw and trace that smile that belongs only to them.

It always makes him weak.

Jaskier loves to touch him, Geralt knows, and he loves to let them. Loves to feel those gentle brushes of skin against his own, loves the warmth that comes with it and the blush that rises to Jaskier’s cheeks when he catches their fingers and presses kiss after kiss to their knuckles.

Time stops and the world around them disappears right along with it.

Tonight, though, there is something distant in Jaskier’s eyes that has Geralt a bit worried. He brushes his fingers over Jaskier’s cheek and those blue eyes focus on him. The room is only lit with the fairy lights that Jaskier loves so much, but it’s still enough for Geralt to see the anxiety in their eyes, the way they bite their lip and then escape Geralt’s eyes.

He frowns, really worried now.  “Hey,” he breaks the silence gently, stroking Jaskier’s cheek now. “What’s wrong?”

They swallow and shake their head, eyes landing everywhere but where Geralt needs them. He waits, but Jaskier does not seem inclined to talk.

“Is something wrong?” Geralt asks then, deciding to take this step by step and see if Jaskier will want to talk about it at some point.

Jaskier nods, still not meeting Geralt’s eyes but that’s fine. Instead, they hook their foot underneath Geralt’s, seeking more touch and comfort. He smiles and shuffles forward a bit, an invitation for Jaskier to take whatever they need.

Instantly, they roll forward and bury their face in Geralt’s chest, throwing their arm around his middle and holding on. Instinctively, as though it is muscle memory, Geralt’s fingers find themselves in Jaskier’s hair, gently combing through it in a way that has always calmed them.

This time, it seems, is no exception.

“You can talk to me, okay?” he whispers, and Jaskier nods against his chest.

“I know.” They move their head so their words are no longer muffled by Geralt’s chest, and he holds them tighter in return. “I know I can. I’m just… I don’t know.”

“That’s okay,” Geralt whispers. “You don’t have to.”

Jaskier nods again and presses a kiss to Geralt’s chest, right above his heart.

He’s weak. He is so weak for Jaskier and he wants them to be happy.

“I love you,” he says instead, and he means it. But the whimper that comes from Jaskier is entirely too concerning.

“I love you, too,” they rasp, their throat closing up but they power through it. “And…” The take a deep breath, clinging to Geralt a bit more before continuing. “And you know I love, well, touching you.”

Geralt nods, humming gently. He does know that, and he loves it, too.

“And sleeping with y—in bed with you. Cuddling. All of that, I love it. I really, really do. Okay?”

“Okay,” Geralt says, still not entirely sure where this is going and what has Jaskier so afraid, but he is content to listen patiently until he understands.

They swallow heavily and bury their face in Geralt’s chest again, holding onto him and gathering their words. It would be endearing if he weren’t so nervous about what’s to come.

Finally, it bursts out of Jaskier in a single, muffled breath. “I don’t wanna have sex with you.” They lift their head off Geralt’s chest to look at him, looking so worried and anxious and sorry that Geralt for a moment doesn’t know what to say to that. “I had sex before,” Jaskier continues, the dam that kept their words inside seemingly broken. “With Valdo. And it was fine but the thought of it is really icky, somehow, and the more I think about it the more suffocating it becomes and I really don’t want to have sex, Geralt, but I love you and I don’t want to lose you and I am sorry, but—”

“Jask, it’s fine,” Geralt promises, caught between the need to reassure his love and smiling at how naïve they are to think they could possibly lose him.

But Jaskier is shaking their head, still looking so stubbornly worried that Geralt has to sit up, taking them with him and pulling them into his lap. Still, Jaskier keeps rambling. “No. You’re so pretty and I want to look at you all day, I want to kiss you and I want to hold you and hold your hand and tell the whole school and the whole world. And I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be,” Geralt whispers, taking their face into his hands to stop the frantic shaking. To make them believe him. “Jask, baby, don’t be sorry.”

He brushes their hair away from their forehead and presses a kiss there instead. Jaskier melts against him and that’s a good sign.

“It’s fine if you’re ace or demi or grey or whatever, okay? I love touching you, too, and you can tell the whole school and the whole world,” he smiles and Jaskier huffs against his neck, wrapping their arms around his middle. “The thought of sex is not repulsive to me, but I don’t really care for it either.”

Jaskier sniffles and then pulls back to look at him. “You don’t?”

“No,” Geralt smiles, a bit sheepish. “I wouldn’t have minded sleeping with you, it’s not really a hardship with how pretty and wonderful you are.” Jaskier blushes and ducks their head, and Geralt is so weak. “And if that ever changes for you, I still won’t mind sleeping with you, okay? It’s fine if you’re demi and it’s fine if you’re ace. I promise.”

That makes Jaskier frown again and the tears return to his eyes, making them shine in the low light and Geralt has trouble understanding how anyone can look so beautiful even on the verge of crying.

“I don’t want to be an assortment of labels, though,” Jaskier rasps with a pout, age-old insecurities resurfacing again, reminding them of how different they are from the rest of the people who call themselves family. Geralt aches for them, remembering the tear-filled conversations they’ve shared about that very topic several times before.

He pulls Jaskier against him again, letting them bury their face against his neck and holding them close. “You don’t have to be, Jask. You’re more than all of that. And if you don’t want sex – now or ever –, then that’s not who you are or who you always have to be. It’s just that, plain and simple. You’re my Jask, my love, wonderful just the way you are and that won’t change just because we won’t have sex.”

Jaskier is quiet for a long time and Geralt hopes desperately that this means they understand his words for what they are.

“You promise?” they ask with a small voice, their forehead pressed to the crook of Geralt’s shoulder, the tip of their nose cold against his collar bone.

“I promise,” Geralt whispers. “I love you, Jask.”

A sniffle, then Jaskier is tugging at the hem of Geralt’s shirt, seeking his warmth with those cold hands of theirs. They’re always cold when they’re crying, and Geralt will gladly be their furnace.

“I love you, too, Geralt.”

He hums and presses a kiss to their temple. “And no more sorries, okay?”

Jaskier’s head lifts from his shoulder and their eyes finally meet again. Geralt is so, so weak. More so when soft, tentative lips finally meet his in a gentle kiss that Jaskier deepens after a second, their hands tangling in Geralt’s hair. They hum and smile into the kiss, and Geralt wants to give them the entire world. Instead, what he does is give them another kiss. And then a few more for good measure.

“No more sorries,” Jaskier whispers eventually, pressing their foreheads together. “I’ll try. Thank you.”

Geralt hums and holds them. Kisses them. Loves them. Knows that it will always be easier to be weak for Jaskier than hard for anyone else.

Not just anybody

Hello lovelies!

This one has been sitting in my drafts for a while, partially because it's a little personal, partially because ace week was coming up and what better time to post?

Please enjoy some grey ace, touchrepulsed Geralt. It is soft, I promise, he is just confused. <3 (Oh, and @thewitcherbog look, i posted!)

Many people are of the belief that Geralt is lonely. He is not, actually.

Even more think that he is so desperate for a kind touch that he would pay for it. Yet another thing he is not.

Well alright. He pays for company every now and then, but it’s not something he craves.

Truth be told, he doesn’t like to be touched at all. It kind of freaks him out a little. When somebody touches Geralt’s arm without permission, when a long gone acquaintance pulls him in for a hug, it just doesn’t feel right.

It leaves him with an uncomfortable feeling behind his ribs, and he is not sure why. He always feels a little bad about feeling that way too, so the easiest solution is to just… not to touch anybody.

So he touches other things instead. While walking past a tree he might reach up and touch a leaf. Not pluck it, just feel it between his fingers.

The different types of texture gives him a secret kind of satisfaction. Softly as to not break it he would rub it between his fingertips and let go. Sometimes it’s prickly, sometimes smooth.

Sometimes he drags his fingers against Roach's fur and mane. Feel the muscles work under her skin. Sometimes it’s a brick wall or the bark of a tree.

There are times he doesn't mind the touch of people.

Mousesack doesn't give him much of a choice, often clasping his shoulders and knocking their foreheads together. For some reason Geralt doesn’t mind, and is weirdly grateful for it.

Yennefer was also fine, more than fine, actually.

Was.

The way she would run her fingers through the hair on his chest, a sharp nail tracing the line of his jaw. It was all amazing, more than, but one day it just… wasn’t anymore. He can’t say why, but it got to a point where he didn’t feel comfortable anymore.

There are probably a lot of psychological reasons behind it, Triss told him that one day when she made him talk about it.

She is most likely right, he knows, but he’d rather not dwell on it. He is going to live a very long life and the moment he starts dwelling on things, he fears he will never stop.

He knows he is not like everybody else. The other witchers don’t seem to have the same feelings about touch as he does. Back in the days there were things like cuddle piles, no such thing as personal space.

Geralt joined in, or rather... sometimes joined in. Eskel was always the one constant in this. Eskel's touch was always a comfort.

Then there was the presence of Jaskier. Jaskier is a source of endless affection. And prattle. Endless prattle.

Jaskier is unable to stop talking. And if he ever shuts up, he is probably moping. That is never a good thing, and as annoying as Geralt finds his bard companion at times, he still cares.

That fateful day on the mountaintop made him rethink everything.

The time of dwelling has come.

Breaking off with Yen was not ideal, but it was a relief.

Breaking off with Jaskier was not what he thought it would be.

Without meaning to, he had come to enjoy the bard's company, and without him there is something missing.

In the evenings, he finds himself holding onto his own hand, pretending it was somebody else's. His pillow, for hugging rather than a headrest.

When Geralt finally stops his moping and whining and moaning about, he goes to find Jaskier.

Their relationship to begin with is strained, unsure. Geralt did a good job to get rid of him after all. So he goes out of his way to fix this.

He knows Jaskier thrives when he gets attention, affection and casual touches.

So he gives them.

A ruffle of the hair, a squeeze on the shoulder. Because he wants back what comfort he got. And Jaskiers touch is not giving him that squeamish feeling.

When Jaskier realizes that Geralt isn't shrugging off his casual touches anymore, he smiles impossibly bright.

That smile lives in Geralt's dreams for days.

At night by their fire, Jaskier will tuck his feet under Geralt's legs as he props himself up to write in the light of the fire.

Geralt lets him, secretly enjoying it. The scratching of the pen against the page, crackling of the fire, the solid feeling of Jaskiers feet under his thigh.

What changes things again is when Geralt returns from a hunt.

It was a tough one, he comes back exhausted and full of potions. It feels like the nerves are on the outside of his body.

When he more or less collapses in a heap by his bedroll, Jaskier approaches him.

The hand on his shoulder startles Geralt, and before he can stop himself he shrugs off Jaskiers hand.

“Don’t touch me.” He rumbles, unease building inside him. It’s too much, he is so tired. Jaskier leans back again, away from Geralt and for some reason he misses it immediately. But he doesn’t. It’s a confusing mess, really.

“What’s wrong Geralt?” Jaskier asks softly, sitting back on his haunches, giving Geralt space.

It takes him some time, not sure how to phrase it, or if to say anything at all. But nothing is ever to be left alone with Jaskier around.

“Are you hurt?” He asks, a hint of worry coming through. Geralt sighs.

“I just…. I don’t like it when people touch me.” He admits. Not what he meant to say but it’s the truth.

“But I touch you all the time?” Jaskier looks down at his crumpled form, and all Geralt can do is look back. What can he say about it, really?

They just look at each other for a long moment.

“Should I stop? Am I making you feel bad? Oh Melitele do I make you feel bad--”

“Jaskier, no. Not you, I… Not when it’s you.” Geralt says, staring at the ground. As he learned when talking with Triss, it is hard to make sense of it.

“I can’t explain. I just… can’t. Please stay.” he squeezes out when Jaskier attempts to back away.

He looks hesitant, but sits down properly, far away enough not to accidentally touch Geralt. Something eases in Geralt’s chest, because he wasn’t sure he would stay.

“How can I help?” Jaskier asks softly, and Geralt closes his eyes.

“Would you sing something?”

He is sure to be teased about it, for actually asking Jaskier to sing when all he ever asked before was for him to shut up.

But he doesn’t. There are some shuffling sounds, and when Geralt looks, Jaskier has laid down next to him, staring up at the sky.

Without the lute, Jaskier sounds different. Without an audience, without the pressure to perform, to be perfect, there is just his voice, naked and raw, soothing the sky, the trees, the witcher next to him.

Geralt unbuckles his armor in silence as best he can, and falls asleep with Jaskier's calming presence next to him.

It takes three days before Geralt brings it up. Mostly because Jaskier didn’t, but he feels he owes him this much. And possibly because Jaskier hasn't touched him as much.

“I don’t like it when people touch me.”

Jaskier looks up at him, giving a small smile.

“You said.”

“Some people are alright. Safe.”

Jaskier says nothing, just keep looking straight ahead as they walk side to side.

“Jaskier.” Geralt says, stopping him with a hand on the shoulder. The bard turns to face him, and if he is surprised that Geralt is touching him, he doesn’t show it. Geralt purposely lets his hand stay there.

“I’m not pushing myself to touch you.” Jaskier looks sceptical. “Alright, maybe a little. But it is because you are...safe to me. You feel right. I see how much it means to you, and I want to give that to you. I might not be able to always, but I’m trying.”

Jaskiers gives him a sad smile that Geralt doesn’t quite understand.

“You don’t owe me anything, Geralt. You are not responsible for my happiness, and if it causes you discomfort, I will not ask that of you.”

That’s not it. How can he possibly explain?

“It doesn’t.”

Please don’t stop touching me.

“I… I like what we have. I like you touching me, I like you allowing me to touch you too. I... If I say no, you listen. Mostly.” Geralt says, trying desperately to be understood. It has never felt this important before. Jaskier gives a little smile and Geralt takes that as a success.

“I barely understand this myself. I can’t predict who works and who doesn’t but, you deserve to know. I don’t want to push you away again.”

“You won’t, my dear. Will you tell me if I become too much?”

“You know I do.” Geralt smiles, relieved, squeezing Jaskiers shoulder a little, because he knows it makes him happy. “And would you… uh. I’m bad at asking for things.”

“I know.” Jaskier smilles fully now. “I think this is the most I have heard you say in one go, probably ever.”

“Hush you. I’m trying to say, don’t hold back around me.”

“I will do my worst.” Jaskier grins, and Geralt can’t help but to grin back.

I just read the first 2 chapters and the idea of Bitterblue telling Giddon about her hookups cracks me up. It would endear me more if he seemed more into it but poor guy is struggling lmao. I love her SOWING HER WILD OATS tho like YES, GET IT. I was just saying how a poly Bitterblue would delight me to no end and as I read about her casual things, from Gideon’s POV mind you, I really thought we were getting poly Bitterblue what with her communication with Saf and her newest beau Katu, until they dropped Saf/Skye on us

which is AWESOME because it confirms Saf is bi!!!! but SHE AND SKYE are cousins so, lol. I think it’s a little weird. But I like how cool with it she is bc hey, she and Saf DID have a short fling that’s been flung already so I can’t blame them from not disclosing it or her for being so cool with it. SHE IS JUST THE COOLEST QUEEN OK, I love her. That’s as far as I’ve read so far. Lovisa awaits!!

P.S. I love how Gideon’s POV is full of this deadpan bizarre humor, like the whole Lovejoy catapulting into his bathroom at any given moment has me HOWLING with laughter. He’s really lightened up despite his unfortunate circumstances and you can tell Cashore is having the time of her life writing from his perspective.

I’ve been lacking motivation to do anything creative these past weeks so this was a very welcome (and needed) exercise even if I hesitated forever to do it. So here you go, in no particular order, some of my faves from 2020

1. Kassandra from AC Odyssey

I had been wanting to do a full-size drawing of Kassandra for a while. I fell back in love with the ac franchise with Odyssey and playing it with my best friend is my favorite memory from lockdown. This one was tricky to make and definitely a first for me in many ways, but I like how it turned out (and my friend loved it haha which is the most important thing!) :)

2. Tissaia Gwent Card 

ok hear me out lmao she deserves it! It’s one of the first ones I did and far from perfect, but I think it turned out cool haha 

3. My friend, the rose

This was the drawing that got me into drawing again. I love it! it’s very much inspired by Bouguereau’s art and style and the title is from a song by Françoise Hardy

4. Tissaia de Vries for “Witcher Appreciation Week”

I have a thing for Tissaia’s winter cape and I won’t apologize for it lmao. This was a fun one to draw and to colour. I’ve been trying to challenge myself to make more detailed backgrounds so I went all out with autumn colors 

5. Craving roses

I started experimenting with watercolor earlier this year and made 4 or 5 little paintings like this one. I love the colors and really fell in love with this medium, although I still have a lot to learn :)

Day 291 (31 December 2020)

Today I went snorkeling near Ko Olina with my dad, my uncle’s ex-wife, and her not-boyfriend.  I saw a sea turtle, as well as numerous tropical fish and some lovely coral.  Sea turtles are good luck, and this was the second one I’ve seen on this trip.

I’ve been ambivalent about whether to do an end-of-year retrospective about 2020, but I’ve decided that I at least need to do an abbreviated one, to close the book on this dumpster fire of a year properly.  

I made two resolutions this year, and was able to keep one.  My 2021 resolutions are, in order of importance: 

1) Be the best clinical year PA student I possibly can.

2) No longer shop on Amazon if I can possibly help it.

3) Take steps toward deleting Facebook.

4) Lose at least some of the weight I’ve re-gained during lockdown.

My biggest achievement of the year was undoubtedly finishing the didactic portion of PA school, during a pandemic.  My second-biggest achievement was writing 80,000 words of Star Wars fanfic and publishing it on Ao3.

There was one birth in my family this year: one of my cousins had a baby boy on October 11.

My favorite TV program of the year was The Witcher.  My favorite movie was Emma.  The songs that will always remind me of 2020 are “Wait for Me” from Hadestown, “Wonderland” by Collapsis, and the entirety of The Horror and the Wild by The Amazing Devil.  My favorite book I read was Henry VIII by Margaret George, because @juliaaurelia-blog read it with me.  My favorite new fandom I discovered was Midsommar.

I found reserves of fortitude I didn’t know I possessed this year.  I learned lessons about allyship that I didn’t realize I needed to learn.  I’ve had some very, very low times - the first week of lockdown in March and the week after RBG’s passing in September come to mind.  But I’ve also had very hopeful times - eg November 7, and the past few weeks as the first vaccines have begun rolling out.  While I haven’t told many people IRL yet, I have begun coming to terms with my identity as a bisexual woman who is also somewhere on the ace spectrum, and that feels better than I ever imagined it would.

We made it, guys.  See you in 2021!

Are you staying home from work/school?

Oh yeah, my work closed Thursday 12th and I’ve been working from home ever since. Which is actually funny since technically what I do can’t be done from home, so yeah I have a lot of administrative things and maybe a paper to write and lets hope I don’t run out of work before this is over. Yesterday I was completely spaced out and just sat and stared and were like No you are at WORK, you cant just sit and stare...

If you’re staying home, who’s there with you?

My partner, who’s growing increasingly paranoid. And a little cat that comes and visits in our garden.

Are you a homebody?

Yes lol, the first week of quarantine there was no notable difference to my life except that I didnt have to take the bus to work in the mornings. Working full time makes me very tired so I dont get up to much outside of home in the weeks and we are relatively recently moved in and dont know that many people yet. 

An event that you were looking forward to that got cancelled?

I was going to see Bon Iver in May, which has been rescheduled to January 2021 (which is actually real funny because this is the second time I’ve got tickets to Bon Iver or Justin Vernon events in ridiculously good time in advance and the event has cancelled on me, clearly the next time I have to buy the tickets from a bootlegger five minutes before the show just to fool the universe). I was also planning a trip with my sister to New York which doesn’t look like it will happen now.

What movies have you watched recently? What shows are you watching?

Jupiter Ascending because The Guardian recommended it as escapism. I’ve also watched Wicker Man (the 70s one, not the Oh god the bees- one). 

I also watch films when I exercise which tends to be of the runny jumpy smashy kind because I find cycling really fast sympathetic to that.

What music are you listening to?

My partner always Lyric FM on which plays classical music and I listen a lot to Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Tom Waits, Anais Mitchell, First Aid Kit. I also listen to a lot of audio books while working since it helps me focus. I do a lot of data entry at the moment so its nice to have it on. So far I’ve listened to Ethan Frome, The Last Wish (The witcher books), The Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby. I usually pick whatever is free on youtube. I like the modern classic horror streak I have though.

What are you reading?

A lot of audio books as mentioned. But I’m physically reading Wilding by Isabella Tree, nonfiction about the rewilding of a nature reserve in Sussex, its super interesting and  a really optimistic read. It also makes me want to wild my garden and get like a natural grazer in (like a goose?) and see what happens.

What are you doing for self-care?

I put on proper clothes every day and also make sure I go for a walk once a day outside, we are lucky enough to have a garden so I can still do that even if public parks shut down. 

I also try to do yoga before bed and do my skincare because my pores clog up super easy and that makes me feel so absolutely grotty.

And I only watch the news once a day. And call my mum.

Xbox Series X Games Confirmed So Far

The Xbox Series X is Microsoft’s next-gen console that will bring all-new graphics, faster load times, and plenty of ways to enjoy all of the games you love digitally through Xbox Game Pass, the Smart Delivery system, and backward compatibility. We’ve learned quite a bit about the Xbox Series X’s impressive specs as well as what the console looks like. In fact, based on what we know so far, it looks like Microsoft’s console will be very stiff competition for Sony’s PlayStation 5.

But console wars always come down to one thing: the games. The Xbox Series X already has quite a few first-party and third-party titles in its lineup, including flagship title Halo Infinite, which will launch on the same day as the release of the new console. What else do you have to look forward to playing on the Xbox Series X?

Let’s start with some of the major upcoming Xbox Series X games that Microsoft has chosen to highlight thus far:

Halo Infinite

The next chapter in the Halo series is not Halo 6 but Halo Infinite, a sequel that is said to bring the beloved first-person shooter franchise back to its roots. The game seems to be set on a Halo ring, it features warthogs and marines, and the Master Chief’s more classic look from Halo 2. This is the first time an Xbox console has launched with a Halo game since the original Xbox, so expect Halo Infinite to be a very big event.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was a revelation for the psychological thriller genre, its take on mental illness giving a unique spin to action-adventure gameplay. Now, Celtic warrior Senua returns in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II for a new dive into the darkness that’s sure to be even more breathtaking than the first, thanks to the Xbox Series X’s upgraded 4K graphics.

Cyberpunk 2077

What can be written about Cyberpunk 2077 that hasn’t already been said? It’s the highly-anticipated sci-fi RPG from developer CD Projeckt Red, the studio behind The Witcher series. It takes everything you love about the cyberpunk sub-genre — hacking, cybernetic implants, twisted augmented realities, and lots of guns — and jams it all into a massive open-world narrative that just happens to feature Keanu Reeves as a character! Best of all, the game is coming to Xbox Series X through the Smart Delivery system, which means that if you buy the Xbox One version, you’ll also be able to upgrade to the Xbox Series X version for free!

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The next chapter in the Assassin’s Creed series tells a story of Viking raiders. You play as Eivor, a warrior whose faith in Odin drives him during a fierce conflict against the forces of England. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla promises battles on both land and sea as well as iconic series staples like the deadly wrist blade and the revamped RPG elements that made Origins and Odyssey such big hits.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon

The Xbox Series X will launch with a new Yakuza game, this one billed as an “underdog story about fighting for what you believe in.” It stars Ichiban Kasuga, a low-level Yakuza thug who has to work his way up the ladder while taking up different jobs around the city of Yokohama in Japan. Expect the series’ trademark zaniness and heartwrenching storytelling in this new installment.

Destiny 2

Fans hoping to continue their Guardian adventure on the Xbox Series can rest easy! Bungie’s Action MMO is making the jump to next-gen consoles. This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, considering that Destiny 2 is a free-to-play online game that will likely make an easy transition to new consoles. We don’t yet know if the next-gen of the version of the game will feature a visual overhaul or if it’ll at least have improved load times, but Bungie promised to share more in the coming weeks.

Gears 5

While the Xbox Series X will launch with a new Halo game, Gears of War fans will also be able to enjoy an upgraded version of Gears 5 at launch. The game will be optimized for the new console, featuring the same graphics you’d enjoy from the Ultra settings on PC. And if you already own the game on Xbox One, you’ll get the Xbox Series X version for free using the console’s Smart Delivery system.

Rainbow Six Quarantine

The spin-off to the online tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege adapts that game’s Outbreak event into a full-length game. Team up with your squad to deal with strange mutants threatening humanity. This is Rainbow Six like you never expected to see it.

Outriders

Outriders is the new online loot shooter coming from People Can Fly and Square Enix. While comparisons to Destiny, Warframe, and The Division are inevitable, what sets this game apart is the gritty sci-fi world that makes up the title’s setting. And this game is being developed by the studio behind Bulletstorm, one of the great, underrated shooters of the last decade. We’re definitely excited about this one.

Fortnite

It was only a matter of time before the most popular multiplayer game in the world announced it was coming to next-gen consoles. Yes, you’ll be able to floss your way to victory on the Xbox Series X. Best of all, Fortnite will be available on next-gen consoles at launch, so you can get to the building and shooting as soon as your unbox the Series X. Epic also has plans to migrate the game to it’s brand-new and incredibly impressive Unreal Engine 5 sometime in 2021.

Bright Memory Infinite

This action-packed first-person shooter takes place in the year 2036 and stars an agent of the Supernatural Science Research Organization who is tasked with investigating a “strange phenomenon” happening all over the world. As you can see, this mystery leads to a lot of bullets flying everywhere and plenty of high-speed chases. Bright Memory Infinite is one of the more impressive titles utilizing next-gen graphics so far.

DiRT 5

Fans of the off-road racing franchise will find more to love in the series’ first next-gen installment, DiRT 5. The impressive 4K graphics and ray-tracing capabilities of the Xbox Series X makes this the must-have next-gen racing game.

Scorn

Scorn was first announced in 2014 for PC, but Ebb Software went radio silent on this H.R. Giger-inspired horror game not long after. But now it’s back and coming to the Xbox Series in all its gruesome glory. Weird structures made of bones and meat will undoubtedly make Scorn of the most visceral experiences on the new console. Horror fans should look forward to this one.

Chorus

Chorus, which comes from Deep Silver, is one of the most interesting action games coming to the Xbox Series X. You play as “ex-cultist Nara, an ace pilot with a haunted past, and Forsaken, a sentient AI starfighter and her closest ally, with a mysterious backstory of his own to unravel.” Together, the ship and pilot must vanquish the Circle, a cult that threatens to take over the galaxy. Stunning visuals, the promise of a dark storyline, and action-packed dog fights in space make this one of our most highly-anticipated next-gen releases so far.

Madden NFL 21

No surprise here: Madden is coming to Xbox Series X. Expect the football simulator you already love but with enhanced graphics and perhaps a gameplay improvement or two. Plus, Madden NFL 21 might be the only way you’ll be able to enjoy the sport in 2020.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

This bloody and violent sequel to the cult classic RPG full of vampires takes us to a version of Seattle plagued with creatures of the night. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 thrusts you into a conflict between several factions who are vying for control of the city. No matter who wins, the poor humans lose.

Call of the Sea

This ocean-themed puzzle-adventure game is set in the 1930s on a mysterious island in the South Pacific. You play as Norah, a woman in search of her husband. The trail leads to this strange tropical setting that seems to take full advantage of the next-gen consoles advanced lighting effects.

The Ascent

If Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t enough cyberpunk for you, there’s also The Ascent, a solo and co-op action RPG that takes place in a metropolis where the collapse of a mega-corporation has left its people in disarray and stuck in the middle of a power vacuum. You’ll fight rival gangs and evil corporations with your team in this isometric sci-fi game.

The Medium

For a second there, we thought this new horror game from Layers of Fear developer Bloober Team was a new Silent Hill game. Even the moody score sounds like it belongs to the classic Japanese survival horror series. That’s no accident. The Medium, which stars a woman named Marianne who can interact with both the real world and spirit world, takes a lot of inspiration from Konami’s horror series and even has famed Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka collaborating on the soundtrack. We’re in!

Scarlet Nexus

In Bandai Namco’s Scarlet Nexus, you play as Yuito Sumeragi, “a new recruit to the OSF aiming to become an elite psionic like the one who saved him as a child.” Yuito will explore the city of New Himuka, which is on the verge of a future where technology is about to fuse with psychic powers. Expect plenty of anime-inspired action.

Second Extinction

Turok and Dino Crisis fans are probably already obsessed with Second Extinction, which pits you and two of your friends in 3v1 battle against mutant dinosaurs. What the hell else do you need to know? If you miss the dinosaur shooters of old, now is your time!

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

A new Lord of the Rings adventure game is on the way from Daedalic Entertainment. It’s an adventure game about Gollum before the events of the books. What was the miserable, ring-obsessed creature up to before he started chasing after Frodo and Sam on their way to Mordor? This game is going to tell you.

Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 casts players into the role of a revolutionist on the fictional island of Yara. It’s the player’s job to help lead the battle against a violent dictator named Anton Castillo (notably played by Breaking Bad‘s Giancarlo Esposito).In many ways, Far Cry 6 looks like it will stick fairly close to the formula that the franchise has established in recent years. Whether or not that’s a bad thing depends on your perspective, but we’re curious to discover whether this series has any surprises up its sleeve.

Grand Theft Auto 5

It shouldn’t come as any surprise that Grand Theft Auto 5 will make the leap to the next generation. GTA Online has proven to be one of Rockstar’s biggest successes ever, and we can think of several hundred million reasons why the company would want to keep it alive. While we still believe we’ll play GTA 6 one day, it’s clear that Grand Theft Auto 5 isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Hitman 3

The recently revived Hitman series has proven to be one of the greatest joys in modern gaming. Hitman 3 will look to advance the series recent success by offering more open-ended levels filled with creative objectives that emphasize replays and multiple paths to victory. If the brilliant mission design of Hitman 2 is any indication, then Hitman 3 may just prove to be the best entry in franchise history.

Resident Evil Village

Resident Evil Village (also commonly referred to as Resident Evil 8) looks to advance the story of the game-changing Resident Evil 7 by once again putting players in the shoes of Ethan Winters. This time, though, things are a little different as Ethan must navigate a mysterious village inhabited by some of the series most intimidating foes yet. We’re curious to see what the next chapter of Ethan’s adventures brings, but we’re really interested in uncovering how Resident Evil Village furthers the series recently re-imagined mythology.

Xbox Series X Smart Delivery Games

Microsoft’s Smart Delivery program allows you to purchase a single copy of a game on Xbox One or Xbox Series X and play it on either console. These are the confirmed Smart Delivery Games revealed thus far, but Microsoft has said that more games will be added to the program (and that developers can choose to independently utilize a similar system):

Hi I'm having feelings. I'm not picky about the character (Eskel, Geralt, Jaskier, your beloved Dandelion) or who maybe accepts and loves them anyway.

“I do not want to be a sexy lumberjack, Jaskier,” Eskel groans, pressing his fingers to his forehead.

The musician turned cat just pouts, the eyeliner on his nose twitching as bright blue eyes widen. “Oh come on,” he whines as he wrings the long black tail between his fingers, wrapping it around his wrist. “It’s halloween and you look like sin in flannel. Just pop a few buttons, smear some fake blood in that gorgeous mat of chest hair, and throw an axe over your shoulder and Bob’s your uncle…” Jaskier flings his arms out wide and beams at Eskel “Sexy lumberjack!”

“I’d rather be a scary lumberjack, got the scars for it.”

“But-”

“No, Jaskier.”

“Geralt!” Jaskier calls, skipping away in his too high-heeled boots back into Geralt’s room. “Your brother is being mean to me.” There’s a pause as Geralt gives his reply, too quiet for Eskel to hear. “Oi! Darling, you’re supposed to be on my side. No! No, no, no, don’t look at me like that. Geralt! Put me down!”

Eskel sighs, buttoning back up his shirt from where Jaskier attempted to create his artistic vision of a sexy lumberjack. He looks up just in time to see Geralt carrying the almost six foot tall black cat back into the room bridal style. Geralt in contrast is dressed in a bright red t-shirt and khaki shorts. It’s subtle but Eskel can’t help but grin.

“Jake from State Farm!”

Geralt smirks, dumping his boyfriend onto the floor. “See.”

“Not as fun as a sexy werewolf,” Jaskier grumbles, “and who the fuck is Jake from State Farm? Is this one of your weird American things?”

“Jask, you’ve been living here for a year now, stop calling it weird.”

“Why is no one dressing up as sexy versions of things with me?”

A chill comes over Eskel and he feels himself tense up. It isn’t as if he meant to hide from Jaskier, but the musician is so open with his sexuality that it just never felt like the right time to tell him. Swallowing, Eskel meets Geralt’s gaze and scratches the back of his neck. His brother knows and has always tried to steer Jaskier’s rampant sexuality out of everyday conversations for Eskel’s convenience, but really he knows it's time to tell him.

“I don’t want to be sexy, Jask,” Eskel admits, his lips pulling into a half smile that he really doesn’t feel. “I don’t like sex, and I don’t want people to think of me like that.”

Jaskier falls uncharacteristically quiet, gaping up at him from the floor. “At all?”

“Jask,” Geralt murmurs in a low voice.

“It’s alright, Geralt. No, not at all. I’ve never found people attractive like that, and honestly it just… creeps me out?”

“Sex creeps you out?”

“Yeah.”

“But you called me pretty the other day? How do you know if-”

“Jaskier, don’t be an idiot,” Geralt growls, pulling his boyfriend to his feet and ruffling his hair. “You don’t want sex with Roach but you can tell she’s pretty.”

Jaskier’s jaw snaps shut and he glares at Geralt. “Fine, well then, when you put it like that… Can I still be a sexy cat?”

The three of them laugh, and they head out to meet Lambert and Aiden for trick and treating. Jaskier is thrilled when they turn up as a sexy nurse and devil, but Eskel’s confession is forgotten until the end of the night when they are all back at Geralt’s house, high off candy and shitty beer. Jaskier is curled up against Geralt’s chest when he calls Eskel’s name.

“Hmm?”

“Sorry… about before,” Jaskier says quietly. “It’s okay. If you don’t like sex, or don’t find people attractive.”

“And if I don’t want a relationship at all?” Eskel’s question surprises him, he hadn’t meant to ask it, but it’s something that has been bothering him more and more recently.

He’s always assumed that he stays single because he doesn’t want to worry about the whole no sex thing, but surely he’ll at least fall in love one day. Nearing his mid-thirties, that still hasn’t happened, and it’s making him wonder whether it ever will. For some reason, saying it aloud makes it real, and a lump comes to his throat.

It was a mistake to ask.

Jaskier couldn’t even understand not wanting sex, there’s no way he is going to understand not wanting love. The man is a musician, a romantic. His songs thrive on love and relationships and heartbreak.

But Jaskier just grins, nuzzling sleepily against his boyfriend. “That’s okay too. If I can fight for being able to love and fuck whoever I want, then that should include not wanting it too. You’re just as valid as I am.”

Tears prickle in Eskel’s eyes, and he wipes his face with his hand, smearing the fake blood and dirt onto the cuff of his shirt. Luckily, no one else sees it, but Jaskier winks lazily and they share a smile in the dim light of the room.

“Thanks,” he grunts, not trusting his voice to say more without cracking, but really it’s all he needed to say.

He closed up her Wonder Woman lunch box as she came clomping down the stairs. He zipped up her lunch box in her backpack and handed it to her as the bus honked.

“Here you go, honey, you have a great day at school,” he said, smiling at her and bending down to hug her. She smiled and hugged him back as she took her bag.

“Thanks, Mom,” she said as she ran down the hallway and out the front door to the bus. Jaskier had frozen and watched her go. She left the front door open and turned to wave as she got on the bus. He mentally shook himself and waved back. Once the bus had driven away he walked down the hallway and closed the door and then leaned against it.

He was in shock. Ciri had called him ‘Mom’.

So Jason Todd is becoming Red Hood in Titans s3, I'm very excited to see him in something live action. However! My man literally DIES to become RH and I'm so not looking forward to watching that. And THEN! There's talk about an Arkham Knight series and I'm just like...😭😭😭 that game destroyed me!!! I was sobbing during that scene! If you've played the game you know which scene I mean! And like, seeing Jason die over and over or be tortured until he hates Bruce is so not fun!! And while I want to see Red Hood in live action, the "origin story" is so hard for me to watch 😞😞😞 I mean, I'll do it, but only to get to the other side.

(I'm aware i don't HAVE to watch those scenes, but I feel like its important to watch the interpretations of those scenes so I can understand his specific motivation for doing things, i just don't enjoy the process)

One of the reasons I love geralt/jaskier is because it's literally a demisexuals wet dream! Lol, being friends for 22 YEARS!!!! 😩 Traveling companions, to friends, to lovers? Yes please! And while I project hard on Jaskier, I can relate to Geralt as well. It takes me forever to trust people cause it has bit me in the ass so many times. And dating is awful, people going out to see if they could be potentially romantically compatible? 😣 no thank you! So yeah, geralt/jaskier is ultimate friends-to-lovers goals 😊

September 2021’s PlayStation Now lineup is headlined by the likes of Tekken 7 and the original Final Fantasy VII. This month’s arrivals to the PlayStation streaming service were previously outed in a leak that made the rounds over the weekend.

It’s worth noting that two major titles are also leaving the service today, September 6. Said experiences include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which joined three months ago on June 1, and Saber Interactive’s World War Z – the latter came to PS Now earlier this year with the March lineup. PS Now’s various offerings over the last several months have been nothing short of impressive. In addition to World War Z, for example, the March entries brought Ace Combat 7 and Infamous: Second Son to the platform. Three different Sonic the Hedgehog games entered the mix in honor of the brand’s 30th anniversary in June. Plus, heavy-hitters such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Judgement led the charge for the July selection, which additionally included God of War (2018), Nioh 2, and others.

The leaks were correct, Tekken 7 will indeed headline PlayStation Now’s September 2021 lineup alongside the original Final Fantasy VII, according to the PlayStation Blog. Tekken 7 hits the service on Tuesday, September 7, and will remain available until February 28, 2022. 1997’s Final Fantasy 7 lands on the same day, along with Killing Floor 2, Pathfinder: Kingmaker – Definitive Edition, Ghost of a Tale, Moonlighter, and Windbound – these six titles will stick around for an indefinite period of time.

As many may be well aware, Final Fantasy VII counts as the first of five classic Final Fantasy games coming to PS Now in the coming months. Through January 2022, PS Now subscribers will gain access to FF8, FF9, FF10/10-2, and FF12, PlayStation revealed last week.

While the wait for the other four Final Fantasy adventures persists, PlayStation Now members can explore the thrills of battle in fighting game Tekken 7. Of course, the original Final Fantasy VII awaits, as does indie action RPG Ghost of a Tale. Survivor game Windbound allows players to explore land and sea, while Moonlighter offers another action RPG complete with rogue-lite elements. Those looking for a different type of role-playing title can jump into the isometric world of Pathfinder: Kingmaker – Definitive Edition. And Killing Floor 2 should give first-person shooter fans plenty to sink their teeth into.

Lambert had been dating Aiden on and off for a few years when he finally agreed to invite the cat back to Kaer Morhen. He’d put it off longer than he should have, claiming that the history between the two schools was too much, that Vesemir would never allow it. But really their on and off dating had been more on than off recently, and Lambert knew that Aiden was starting to want more from him than he could give.

He’d travelled with Aiden before stupid feelings had come into play. The cat witcher was a flirt and he had a long string of lovers, often not even bothering with the brothels in the towns they visited. According to Lambert’s pack, that was rare. Most people wouldn’t go near a witcher unless they were paid, but that had never really been a concern for Lambert, not really.

He was lonely, and he ached for something that he couldn’t describe, but he didn’t want sex. Lambert knew that much. He’d nearly tried it once because Eskel and Geralt always seemed to love it so much, and he thought it might settle whatever it was that he was always reaching for… but well. It hadn’t gone so well. As soon as the whore had touched below his chest he’d completely recoiled, and it was only their quick thinking that had meant Lambert hadn’t completely wasted his coin. They’d spent the evening cuddling and talking, no more sex.

Whenever Lambert was back in that town he’d make sure to visit them, but that was it. He didn’t trust anyone else.

Not even Aiden.

It was the source of their arguments, their break ups. If Lambert barely touched Aiden at all then it wouldn’t lead to sex and he wouldn’t have to know that Lambert was broken, but Aiden read the distance between them wrong. He thought that Lambert didn’t care.

Which… fuck. That was, well it was the complete opposite of the truth. In reality, Lambert cared too fucking much. He loved Aiden more than he’d loved anyone before. It drove him mad. He’d been just fine before the feelings had arrived.

So he’d swallowed his fucking pride and invited Aiden home.

But three months of probably sharing a bed… well… Aiden would expect things. He’d find out Lambert’s dirty little secret.

And Lambert’s world would fall apart.

“Wolf? Are you okay in there?” Aiden asked, his fingers brushing Lambert’s temple, and it took all of Lambert’s self control not to lean into the touch.

“Fine,” he gritted out. “Just… fine.”

“Well, darling, that hardly makes me feel better.” The fingers dropped to Lambert’s wrist, and then Aiden slipped his hand into Lambert’s squeezing gently. “Meet the family and all, I want them to like me.”

Lambert grunted. He didn’t want to lie to Aiden. There was a very good chance the others would despise him without even giving him a chance, and Lambert didn’t know how to respond.

“Shall we do this then?”

The vulnerability in Aiden’s voice startled Lambert. His boyfriend was always so confident, so- so Aiden… that to hear him sounding so small, shocked Lambert. He cursed under his breath, and then cupped Aiden’s cheek, pressing their lips together in a rare chaste kiss. It wasn’t something that Lambert particularly enjoyed but Aiden did, and it wasn’t uncomfortable enough to avoid so they kissed, sometimes, never for long.

“I love you, kitten,” Lambert murmured, pressing their foreheads together.

Aiden let out a breathy laugh, his arms wrapping around Lambert’s shoulders in a hug. “I love you too, wolf.”

“I’ll protect you.”

“I can protect myself.”

“Bastard, let me love you.”

Aiden opened his mouth to retort but because he could they were interrupted by a snowball thwacking the back of Lambert’s head.

“Oi!”

“Come on in, witchers!” a brightly coloured twink waved from the crumbling battlements. “Or you’ll be late for dinner!”

“Who the fuck…”

“Dinner first, the questions, darling. I’m starving!” Aiden beamed and grabbed Lambert’s hand, pulling him through the heavy gates.

To everyone’s surprise, Aiden had won over the wolves of Kaer Morhen, possibly due to the bard that Geralt had brought with him. Only Vesemir still seemed wary, but he’d allowed the cat to stay. Dinner had been hearty and warm, and the company had been pleasant, if not a little loud. The drinks flowed freely, and there was music in the air. Everyone had ended up a little more than drunk and sleepy from the hard day’s work. Vesemir was snoring loudly, his book resting on his stomach, a pair of glasses perched on his nose. The bard, Eskel and Geralt were on the furs in front of the hearth, just like Lambert would usually be.

But…

So he just stared longingly at the pile, Jaskier wittering on about how he was in heaven, the two wolves on top of him purring happily. Aiden was leaning into his side, drunkenly singing and occasionally leaving slopping kisses on Lambert’s cheek.

“You want to join them,” he slurred, one hand resting on Lambert’s chest. “Why-” he hiccuped. “Why them?”

“I-” Lambert stammered, growling as his own head spun a little from the White Gull. “There’s- fuck!”

“Lamby, wolf, darling,” Aiden purred, nuzzling into Lambert’s chest. “I love you, sweetheart.”

Drunken fool.

“S’no pressure. Sex and shit. They’re my friends,” Lambert muttered as quietly as possible. “My family.”

“You don’t want sex?”

“No.”

“Okay, Can I still fuck others or…”

“Yeah,” Lambert cut him off. The idea of tying his lover down, taking away something he loved… that was unthinkable. He’d been jealous, sure, but only because he couldn’t be everything Aiden needed.

“Don’t have to… I have hands,” Aiden hummed, giggling to himself.

“Babe, we’re drunk as skunks,” Lambert moaned, squeezing his eyes shut to stop the spinning.

“Hmm, fine, join the others? Talk tomorrow.”

Lambert expected his boyfriend to shove him to the floor, but instead Aiden stumbled to his feet, fingers wrapped around Lambert’s wrist, and pulled him along to the cuddle pile by the fire.

“Room for two more?” Aiden asked, cocking his head in a way that was probably meant to be sexy but he tripped over the corner of the fur and almost fell into the pile of men at their feet.

“Oh fuck yes!” Jaskier cried, not waiting for the two witchers to respond, and the pair were dragged into the pile by the excitable bard.

It was a mess, and with their drink-addled minds, it took awhile to shift around enough so everyone was comfortable, but that itch that had been bothering Lambert melted away. He sighed with a hidden smile as he buried his face into Aiden’s neck. Jaskier was plastered to his back and Eskel was draped over the pair of them with Geralt.

It shouldn’t have worked, like most things in Lambert’s dreary life… but for that moment - everything was perfect.

Of Love and Hate

The bard’s eyes darkened and his jaw clenched as he looked across the room. It was as if a storm had fallen over the cloudless day that was Jaskier, and Geralt could almost feel the ice in the air around them. A quick glance around the room told Geralt there was no immediate danger. There were no bruxas or werewolves hiding in the shadows, and he hadn’t been able to clock any thugs or assassins. Whatever had caught the bard’s attention- it was personal, but that didn’t stop Geralt’s instincts from screaming at him to draw his sword, to cut down the source of his lover’s anguish.

Instead, Geralt’s hand landed on Jaskier’s thigh, sliding down the soft, teal, silk trousers to the bard’s knee. The music playing at one end of the tavern was too loud for Jaskier to hear him, especially with the usual roar of the tavern; fist fighters, drunkards and gamblers not caring for the lilting tune of the lute player. Jaskier didn’t seem too impressed by the man either. His cornflower blue eyes were narrowed and cold as the steel strapped to Geralt’s back. Rolling his eyes, Geralt pressed a kiss to Jaskier’s temple, smiling as the bard leaned into the touch with a soft sigh that no human would be able to hear.

The reason for Jaskier’s posturing soon became clear when the lute music came to a close and the brightly dressed troubadour with an extravagant hat and feather strutted over to their table.

“Marx,” Jaskier gritted out, shoulders tense as he gripped Geralt’s hand under the table.

“Julian, how lovely of you to visit Cidaris! I thought you’d all but forgotten about me,” the troubadour smiled brightly, removing his hat and tucking a long dark curl behind his ears as he slid into the bench opposite Geralt and Jaskier.

“Oh you made it quite clear you didn’t want anything to do with me.”

“What?” the man froze, his tankard halfway to his lips. “Jask, you were my best friend?”

“You hated me!” Jaskier snapped, knocking his own drink flying. “I tried everything to get your attention, to show you how much I loved you. You barely even looked at me, stole my songs and fucked off to Cidaris. We were going to travel the Continent together, Pankratz and Marx-”

“Marx and Pankratz,” Marx amended softly without seeming to even think about his words. It was clearly an argument they’d had many times before.

“Oh fuck you!” Jaskier hissed. “Doesn’t matter now anyway, I have Geralt.”

The troubadour winced and looked away. “Ah yes, your precious witcher. Essi told me all about him.” Dark brown eyes flashed to Geralt, and he was taken aback to see only pain where he’d been expecting anger. “Your bestest friend in the whole wide world.”

“My boyfriend.”

“Yes, because I became nothing to you when I didn’t want to sleep with you.”

Jaskier was about to snap back but Geralt clapped his hand over his mouth. He took advantage of the silence to study the peacock of a man in front of them. He’d flirted with the patrons just like any bard worth his money did, but he’d come straight to Jaskier, to an old friend, denying any opportunity to bed the handful of girls who were very obviously interested in him. It was… unusual for a bard, and reminded Geralt more of his brother Eskel who had never really cared for sex and valued his friendships above anything else .

“You’re ace?” Geralt surmised.

“What? How did you-?”

“Lived a long time, I’ve seen it all.”

Jaskier wriggled in Geralt’s arms until he was able to force Geralt’s hand away from his mouth. “You- you don’t hate me?”

“I never did.”

“But I- I thought… You- the Countess?”

Marx laughed, reaching out for Jaskier’s hand over the table. “Oh darling, she’s my sister.”

With a whine, Jaskier buried his face in Geralt’s chest, still holding the other bard’s hand tight despite the burning hot blush on his cheeks. “Val, I’ve been an idiot.”

The troubadour winked at Geralt as he replied. “Well then, I’m glad to see you really haven’t changed a bit, love.”
