When doing such spellwork, one can call upon deities associated with asteroids and use the astrological associations, in this case Scorpio, and the power of the waxing crescent moon. 

As the moon grows, there is forward motion, a strength one can utilize in magick.Working on goals right in front of you, encouraging positivity and faith, and an invitation to act boldly are all part of the waxing crescent power.

Fridays during the waxing moon are the best time for to welcome love into one's life.With shooting stars, what is recognizable to everyone is wishing, which is easily done by putting your intent into it before it flies out of sight.

Candle magick at this time can elicit omens, and jar spells made from shooting star water (via a mason jar of plain water left out under the stars) can be useful for long term workings and wishing spells.

The new moon on November 15 guarantees darkness for the night of the meteor shower on November 17, and the bulk of the meteors, perhaps 10 to 15, are expected to fall in the hours just prior to dawn.Leonids are famous for storming ever since the first great meteor storm of modern times during in November 1833, which famously effected the understanding and development of scientific study of meteor showers.

Meteors themselves, falling stars, have been worshipped for thousands of years.

The Greeks used them in veneration of their gods, and they appeared in the ancient legend from Mecca via a gift of a meteor to Ibrahim by angel Jibril.

Native Americans also wove a legend of meteors in the tale of “Coyote and the Dancing Stars

.”Today meteorites are used to enhance working with other worldly beings, while they also ground and gives us the ability to connect with spirit. 

By traveling in the atmosphere, meteors embody all five Wiccan elements, giving them power that almost guarantees success.

Magickal correspondence is one way that we can enhance the effectiveness of our rituals and forge a deeper connection with the subtle forces around us. Learning the occult correspondences, or the hidden qualities of things is like learning a new language, the secret language of Nature. Once you become accustomed to the way this language works you will start to notice patterns, and the spirits in the natural world will begin to speak to you. Plants are a perfect example of magical correspondence in action. Plants communicate differently than other sentient beings, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t have a lot to say. By learning some of the traditional systems of magickal correspondence we can discover new uses for herbs that we are familiar with, and through plant spirit communication, divine the uses of unfamiliar plants too! There are many different systems that can be applied with success, and we will discuss the doctrine of signatures, planetary, elemental and astrological correspondences which will give attendees the tools to identify a plant’s properties on their own. AZAZEL RITUAL OIL 💫 Azazel shows up in the Book of Enoch in reference to the Watcher angels. A scapegoat in ancient Jewish atonement rituals, the scapegoat became a proxy for all of the people’s sins and was sent into the desert as a sacrifice so the people could be absolved. The literal goat connection gives Azazel first connection to Saturn (ruled by Capricorn). The seal of the daemonic intelligence of Saturn is the same as the seal of Azazel. This ancient symbol and is found throughout ancient motifs, representing an union of opposing forces. Honoring this balance was also part of the saturnalia where normal social customs were abandoned as part of the celebration. This time of “misrule” is a time of “goat headedness” of atavistic resurgence, connecting to the numinous through taboo. Azazel is on one hand Saturnian, but on the other hand flamboyant and colorful, their predilections for costumes, jewelry and make up were a sure sign of wickedness in the Old Testament. We can connect with Azazel as Lord of Misrule, Witch King and teacher of forbidden artes. This spirit was credited with the fall of the Watchers and teaching man kind how to make weapons (but also cosmetics and fabric dyes). Azazel is one of my familiar spirits (spirit I work with on a regular basis). I am so excited to announce that @thehouseoftwigs School of Ritual is about to become the new home of my newest and most extensive course! I have been working behind the scenes getting all of the material together, and we will be making an announcement as to when this course will be available. The course is all online and self-paced. There are different sections with multi-media lessons and practical applications. This class is all about the Poison Path. It is geared toward magical practice and esoteric herbalism, but will cover topics like ethnobotany, phytochemistry, alkaloids and use. There will be a major focus on the use of these plants in magical practice and as plant spirit medicine. We will explore the occult correspondences and entheogenic applications for many of the key plants in this practice. By the end of this course the student will have a clear understanding of what can be gained from the Poison Path, and what that actually means. They will be able to identify and describe the magical and ritual uses of a variety of baneful herbs as well as thei wntheigenic properties. Students will be given a framework upon which they will be able to build their own practice using the powerful botanical allies. Since ancient times in many cultures, crossroads have been seen to have great magical significance, a place of spirits. 

Ancient Greeks believed that Hermes ruled four road crossways and Hecate the three way junction.

 An 11th century text describes how Mercury and Odin were traditionally honored on crossroads.Crossroad magick is also part of Hoodoo tradition, especially with Papa Legba, gatekeeper to the spirit world.

Also in Catholicism Archangel Saint Michael the protector, St. Simon Peter, St. Anthony Padua, St. Florian and Lazarus the Beggar, were connected to the crossroads.

In Brazilian mythology crossroads were places to make offerings to the Orishas and connected to the mythos of the headless mule, the devil, the Besta Fera and Brazilian werewolf.

In the 1926 film "Faust," Mephistopheles was summoned at the crossroads, and in the popular t.v. show "Supernatural" crossroads demons were a recurring plot device.Crossroads are said to be unhallowed ground by some, peopled by restless ghosts, vampires. 

Folkloric traditions specify that this is where murderers, suicides and the unbaptized should be laid to rest, and some tell of workings for gold finding, spirit conjuring, sacrifices, even necromancy.

They can also be places to leave offerings, burying spells, spirit communication and perform candle magick with a makeshift altar on the ground.Some spellwork particular to crossroads include skill learning, to attract lovers, acquire property or wisdom, or leave or dispose of a petition.

Also crossroads can be worked for removing blockages, bringing prosperity and abundance, honoring the dead, making wishes, finding direction and making choices.If collecting crossroads dirt for a spell at home, it is traditional to "pay for the dirt" leave behind something like coins at each corner of the crossroads, as is common in witchcraft tradition, thanking nature for what is taken.
