Es gibt neben dem Britisch Traditionellen Wicca auch noch weitere Pfade. Im Gegensatz zum traditionellen Wicca ist eine Initiation in einen der nicht-traditionellen Pfade nicht für andere Traditionen gültig. Während eine Person die im Algard Wicca initiiert wurde beispielsweise auch in einem Gardenischen Coven Mitglied werden kann, können dies Personen, die nicht in einen der traditionellen Pfade initiiert wurden nicht; ihre Initiation ist nur für ihren eigenen Pfad gültig, sofern überhaupt eine Initiation in diesem Pfad üblich ist. Viele der nicht-traditionellen Pfade arbeiten nicht in Coven, verehren Gottheiten eines bestimmten Pantheon, oder unterscheiden sich darin, dass Rituale nicht weitergegeben werden. Auch die Selbstinitiation wird in manchen nicht-traditionellen Pfaden akzeptiert.

Ahnen Wicca

Mit Ahnen Wicca, oder auch Hereditärem Hexentum, werden mehrere Pfade bezeichnet, die schon vor der schriftlichen Fixierung des Wicca in den 1940er- und 50er-Jahren bestanden; teilweise lassen sich diese Traditionen bis auf das 11. Jahrhundert zurück datieren. Die Traditionen sind hier oft ähnlich mit dem Gardenischen Wicca, da sie aus derselben Region stammen, meist sehen sich die Anhänger dieser Tradition aber nicht selbst als Wiccas und geben ihre eigene, individuelle Tradition nur innerhalb der eigenen Familie weiter.

Ägyptisches/ Kemetisches Wicca

Ägyptisches, auch Kemetisches Wicca, ist eine sehr kleine Tradition, die sich den Traditionen des britisch traditionellen Wicca bedient, aber ausschließlich das ägyptische Pantheon verehrt.

Celtsun Wicca

Celtsun Wicca ist eine schamanische Wicca Tradition, die sich vor allem Traditionen aus dem Gardenischen Wicca, sowie von den Ureinwohnern Amerikas bedient. Das wichtigste Kennzeichen ist die Arbeit mit indianischen Medizinrädern. Der Begriff „Celtsun“ setzt sich zusammen aus celt für keltisch und sun für Sonne, bzw. Sonnentanz.

Christliches Wicca

Das Christliche Wicca ist ein Pfad des Wicca, der Elemente des Christentums mit den Traditionen des Gardenischen Wiccas vereint. Jesus Christus wird oft als Personifizierung des gehörnten Gottes und Maria Magdalena als Personifizierung der großen Göttin genutzt. Christliches Wicca ist vor allem in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika verbreitet.

Correllian Wicca

Die Correllian Tradition basiert auf den Lehren der High-Corell Familie. Eine Kombination von Schottischem Wicca mit Praktiken der amerikanischen Ureinwohner (Cherokee-Indianer) und ausgeprägte Verehrung der Ahnen ist für diese Tradition üblich. Bekannt geworden ist diese u. a. dadurch, dass auf Ebay die Domain des ehemaligen theologischen Seminars WitchSchool an einen neuen Besitzer versteigert wurde.

Dianisches Wicca

Dianisches Wicca ist eine Tradition, die die Göttin Diana verehrt und sehr strengen Regeln unterliegt. In Coven die dieser Tradition folgen sind oft nur Frauen, manchmal sogar nur homosexuelle Frauen willkommen. Dianisches Wicca steht sehr für Feminismus ein; es ist aber wichtig zu wissen, dass nicht jeder Pfad des Wicca, dessen Lehren mit dem Feminismus vereinbar sind, automatisch dem Dianischen Wicca zugerechnet werden kann. Die meisten Traditionen des Wicca setzen sich sehr für die Gleichberechtigung der Geschlechter ein.

Feen Wicca

Das Feen Wicca ist eine sehr neue und auch umstrittene Wicca Tradition. Sie entstand in den 1990er-Jahren auf Grundlage der Bücher der Autorin Kisma Stepanich. Sie zeichnet sich durch die Arbeit mit Feen und das integrieren irischer Mythologie in den Glauben aus. Es gibt keine Belege dafür, ob diese Tradition wirklich existiert, oder nur von Stepanich erfunden wurde.

Hellenistisches Wicca

Im Hellenistischen Wicca werden die Gottheiten des griechischen Pantheon verehrt. Das Hellenistische Wicca ist keine fest definierte Tradition und meist haben Coven die dieser Tradition folgen eigene, meist sehr strenge, Regeln und moralischen Grundsätze.

Istari-Wicca

Istari-Wicca ist eine Tradition aus Deutschland und besteht dort vermutlich seit dem frühen 21. Jahrhundert. Die Grundlagen des Istari-Wicca, inklusive des Buches der Schatten, sind auf dem Buch der Schatten von Alex Sanders aufgebaut worden.

Keltisches Wicca

Keltisches Wicca ist eine Variante des keltischen Neopaganismus, bei der unter praktischen Bezug auf Wicca-Rituale und Philosophie auf keltische, hauptsächlich irische und walisische Symbolismen zurückgegriffen wird. Im Mittelpunkt stehen hier häufig die Göttinnen Ceridwen oder Brigid und die Götter Cernunnos und Lugh. Im Gegensatz zu den meisten Wicca-Traditionen gilt im Keltischen Wicca häufig der Mond als männlicher und die Sonne als weiblicher Aspekt des Göttlichen.

Nordisches Wicca und Wiccatru

Nordisches Wicca ist die Bezeichnung für eine Mischung aus Britisch Traditionellem Wicca und dem germanischen Heidentum Asatru, wobei die meisten Vertreter des Asatru diese Art von Synkretismus strikt ablehnen. Im Wiccatru wird das germanische Pantheon der Edda und die germanischen Namen der Jahresfeste verwendet und die Ethik aus dem Hexencredo wird durch die sogenannten „Neun edlen Tugenden“ (Mut, Wahrheit, Ehre, Treue, Disziplin, Gastfreundschaft, Fleiß, Selbstständigkeit und Ausdauer) ergänzt.

Pecti Witta

Pecti Witta ist eine Abspaltung des Schottischen- und Seax Wicca. Ihr wesentlicher Unterschied besteht darin, dass sie sich vermehrt regional schottischen Traditionen des allgemeinen Hexentums bedient und dass Zauber und Rituale eine eher kleine Rolle einnehmen. Anhänger des Pecti Witta bezeichnen sich oft nicht als Wiccas, sondern als Wittas, oder Druiden.

I just wanted to say that I hope everyone is having a great weekend!😊 This is a weekend, or week for some, of celebration, baking, feasting, etc...so I hope everyone is in good spirits... ❤👍  

Holidays, and special days to remember, are quite important, but they can be very different, to each and every Witch, from different paths...They can follow celebrations of Gods and Goddesses, the Seasons, the Christian holidays, all of the above, or even none of the above...As an example, August 1 of this year, was a special occasion to certain Witches, called Lughnasadh, Lughnasa, Lunastal, Luanistyn, etc.....to signify the beginning of the Harvest Season. It was originally observed by the Gaels, but now observed by the Manx, the Irish, Scottish, the Celt neopagans, and Wiccans....I enjoy this holiday, but I also respect those that don’t. 

There are many paths of the Craft, and each one is different, and special...especially to those that follow those paths. We should respect their beliefs, and must remember that each Witch has the right to follow whatever path they choose, even if it goes against family traditions, friends’ paths, or the path that they originally set out upon!  The only thing I would ever advice a Witch to do, when starting out, is to make sure to know the fundamentals, behind their path, before any spell casting! 😊👍👍

Beginner Witch: Useful Websites

Pretty self-explanatory. It’s a website that offers education into the craft for beginners. It is free, however, you can become a supporting member of the website and school by paying (you don’t have to.) Again, remember to take from this what you want - don’t pick up any practices that make you uncomfortable, you don’t have to believe in anything that makes you uncomfortable, on the other hand, if you find things that do make you comfortable and interest you, then go ahead and pick up the course. I did forget to mention earlier, that you can do a three-day trial where you get to check out all the courses that supporting students get. They do have some courses on Wicca and some of the stuff that is on there is catered towards people who are Witches and Wiccans as well but don’t let that stop you.

This to me has been one of the most helpful websites. It has a ton of stuff, it has an entire section dedicated to Wicca and Witchcraft. One article that I’ve found to be most helpful is:

Entry number 2: Affirmations

Affirmations, aside from witchcraft, can be very helpful. Here I will share a couple of methods on how to manifest with affirmations plus I will share some of my favorite affirmations. Feel free to pick out the ones that may assist you in your journey.

First method I’d like to share is the one my friend introduced me to, it is telling yourself in the mirror things such as “I am…” or “You are”. She mentioned she imagines her higher self in the mirror telling her all those things. But, I have never tried this myself, but eventually I will and I will let you know how it goes.

Anyway, for affirmations, the most simple way to start is simply saying them to yourself or writing them down (preferably on paper, with whatever font on whatever type of paper you normally do for example in school). One good thing about affirmations is that you don’t necessarily need a ritual or too much energy, because, all it really is, is changing your thoughts and “reprograming” your mind. So, your mood might not effect the outcome of this. However, it might be harder to, for example, convince yourself that you are deserving of love after a bad argument with your loved ones or to convince yourself that you aren’t alone after losing someone. But, saying these affirmations, even in hard times, may not have as bad of an effect as for example doing a love spell after an argument with a family member, for example.

So, as I mentioned, the best way to manifest for starters is to say it or write it down for yourself, or both at the same time! (highly recommended). You should begin with saying things like “I am loved, I am valuable…”. Writing this down is also helpful. But, I, personally prefer writing down “I am” once and then writing down a sort iof a list. For example: “I am loved, valuable…”. HOWEVER, I’d be saying outloud “I am loved, I am valuable…” Because writing down I am is too much effort, but saying it is enough. Anyway, same as anything in this book THIS IS ONLY HOW I DO IT AND HOW IT WORKS FOR ME. As the HFS said, if you read experiences from other witches and ask for help, you will get a variety of answers. The secret to becoming a strong witch is to go through all these and finding what works for you.

One more thing I’d like to mention is that, I like to include the same affirmation in different ways. Let me explain on an example. I can say “I am beauty” and also “I am beautiful” and also things like “I attract beauty” or “I radiate beauty”. All these are similar but different. So, with any affirmation I write down, feel free to vary in this way, as I think it just might add a bit of spice and additional success to your reprograming.

P.S. if you feel in doubt when saying a certain affirmation, try to analyze why you feel that. After you’ve done so, try and imagining that doubt going away as it is irrational and you can do anything, and simply repeat your affirmation multiple times. Maybe even write it down on a sticky note and have it around you (in a pencil case, makeup bag or just something you regularly use)
