Day 6 |  Don’t Worry, Be Happy (3/4)

“Oh, man am I glad to see you! I thought we were meeting in the library?!”

Jade turns around a small unfriendly smile on her face. All of the Aurorel sisters looked alike but Jade and Ivy were practically twins. 

“Oh, oh no I thought-”

“You thought I was someone else. Perhaps one of my sisters?”

[Huxley nods]

He’d been so busy trying to catch his breath and figure out where he was going that he completely missed their most obvious differences. 

“How intriguing. Indulge me Girk, which of them commands you?”

Jade Aurorel despite appearances was the second eldest of the seven sisters. Each sister was magically crafted to one day be paired with a prince of hell. Jade for her sharp wit, hunger for knowledge, and inventive nature was to be paired with the Prince of Sloth, Efraim. Of course Jade was a lesbian but love was not important for an Aurorel, their legacy came first. 

“I wish you'd stop fooling around with the Girk and fool around with me instead.”

If Jade had a choice in the matter Terra Tula would rule by her side, but it wasn’t the way of the realm. She smiled, leaving Huxley to wrap an arm around the girl.

“Have I ever told you how much I love your eyes?”

Huxley breathes a sigh of relief, 

 “That was too close...”
