Adulthood.Sucks.

Remember when we were kids,how badly we all wanted to be adults...?How adulthood seemed like this fantasy land where you finally don’t have to struggle with books/homework;where you would have all the freedom in the world to go out whenever you want or wherever you want without having to beg your parents for permission;where you can eat as much candy or ice cream as you want without getting reprimanded;where you would have a freaking job that would pay you,finally enabling you to not depend on anyone?How we all waited to just grow up & be adults.

YOU WERE WRONG.Well at least about most parts of it.

Adulthood is not a FANTASYLAND!!!!Adulthood = RESPONSIBILITIES.

It means you are on your own & you are responsible for yourself.Every step you take & every decision you make is entirely yours.And if anything goes wrong,you do not get to blame anyone else(unlike your childhood days when you can always blame your parents if things get messed up & make them feel guilty about it!).When you learn you are the only one responsible for yourself,that’s when all sorts of fears start creeping up.You start living in a world filled with fear,despair and whatnots,ultimately leading to depression.That’s also the point where the doubt of self-worth emerges,leaving you to overthink & drown in self-pity.

The transition from a carefree teenager to a crestfallen adult happens so quickly that you are not prepared for it.Your ‘early twenties’ is the period when time decides to be a bitch & flies so fast you can’t even stop to catch your breath.There is so much to be done & it seems like there is never enough time.

So here i am.Stuck in that phase of life,not knowing what to do,fulls of doubts & despair.And it sucks to be here.Now i totally regret ever wanting to be an adult when i was a kid.If only i could go back in time.*Sigh*
