Calling of the Witchblade

Jaune and Sage waited outside the Rose-Xiao Long house wearing their costumes. Sage wore a dark blue suit and had prop pistol attached to his waist. Jaune, meanwhile, was dressed as a barbarian, complete with a black headband, leather boots and furred loincloth. Sage giggled slightly as he saw him shiver.

Sage: See, this is why I told you that going shirtless was a bad idea.

Jaune: I'm not cold, I'm just nervous. I've never met a girlfriend's parents before. What do I even say?

Sage: Dude, relax. I've already met Mr Xiao Long and Miss Rose before and they're totally cool. I'm sure they'll love you. Well, if you aren't too much like yourself.

Jaune: *deadpan look* Gee, thanks. *rings doorbell*

Sage/Jaune: Trick or treat!

The door opened and inside stood Yang and Ruby. Yang wore a stylish yellow dress, black waist ribbon, black stockings, yellow boots and a witch's hat. Ruby was dressed as a werewolf, with red fake wolf ears and tail, red paws and red furred boots. They looked at their boyfriends and smirked delightfully.

Yang: Looks it's treats for us.

Ruby: Yep! *playful growl*

Jaune: *blushes* H-Hi Ruby, happy birthday. *hugs her*

Sage: *small laugh* Hey there, babe. *kisses Yang*

Taiyang: Ah, so the boys have finally arrived.

Taiyang walked into the hallway holding 3 large pumpkins. He had grey zombie facepaint and wore a ripped shirt and jeans.

Sage: Great to see you again, Mr Xiao Long.

Jaune: Um, nice to meet you sir. I'm Jaune. Jaune Arc.

Taiyang: Pleasure. *shakes Jaune's hand* Oooh, quite a grip.

Yang: Hey day, you need a hand with those pumpkins?

Taiyang: It's all good, sweetheart. Besides, you better save those hands for the Carving Contest.

Yang: Aw yeah! You're so going down this year! *points at Tai*

Ruby: Has anyone heard from mom yet?

Yang: Beats me. She's never this late.

Taiyang: She probably got held up at work. It's probably nothing.

[City of Vale- Murk District]

Summer Rose wandered into a dingy, slimey alleyway. On her right hand was a silver bracelet with a ruby at the center and it faintly glowed as she continued walking.

Summer: You'd better show yourself. It's my daughter's birthday and I do NOT intend on being late!

Low growling could be heard from all corners and 3 Beowolves peered from the shadows. Summer's bracelet glowes brighter and her red leather jacket and black jeans transformed into scarlet armour that exposed most of her voluptuous body. The Beowolves snarled and lunged towards her. Summer smirked and made quick work of them. She threw several punches and kicks at the Grimm, sending them flying across the alleyway. They gave pained moans before crumbling to ash.

Summer: Was that it? Give me a break.

Her short lived victory was interrupted by a loud roar coming from behind her. She turned around to see an Ursa raising its claw. She managed to block the attack just in time, yet was still knocked back slightly. Summer regained compsure and a long blade protruded from her right arm. The Ursa roared fiercely and got on all fours. They stared at each other intensely before making the charge.

SLASH!!!

A chunk of the Ursa's arm was torn off and it toppled over. Summer turned and leaped onto its stomach and stabbed it in the neck. Black blood seeped out and, like its Beowolf bretheren, the Ursa crumbled to ash. Summer transformed back to her street clothes and left the alleyway.

Summer: What a waste of time. I spent hours trying to search for clues and all I get are low-level Grimm.

Suddenly, the caws of crows filled the air and Summer looked up to find a murder of them flying above her.

Summer: Hmph. What the hell do you want, Qrow?

Sage looked over at the remaining member of Team RWBY as she nipped at the strawberry ice cream bar she held. Yang, if he recalled her name right.

“Want to have a singles night?” she asked, “you know, go out dancing, dinner, movies, go to a hot spring joint...”

Sage’s eyebrow rose.

“That sounds like a date.”

“It really isn’t.”

“It sounds like it.”

“Well, it’s not.”

Yang finished her ice cream and tossed the stick into a nearby trash can.

“Hey, it’s either singles night with me or wait until your friends get back. And trust me when I say Blake can take a long time when she and Sun are in protest mode.”

“Alright,” Sage said with a shrug, “why not? Could be fun.”

No sooner had he finished talking then Sage found himself yanked towards the parking lot and a yellow motorcycle.

“Don’t be afraid to hold on tight if we’re going fast,” Yang said with a wink, “A girl can appreciate a man with common sense.”

Sage didn’t let go until they reached the first club.

In under five minutes.

Since Yang apparently thought traffic laws were more like suggestions.

Gosh I remember when wise dragon (Yang x Sage) was actually a point of speculation back in volume 2. Aesthetically they're a very cute couple. Found some adorable arts and fics of them back then. Literally zero stuff for them now though. Real shame :(

Vampire's Fangs

Note: Oscar is 21

Oscar walked through the halls of one of Vale City's seediest establishments; The Vampire Lounge. The walls were a charcoal grey, with several cracks all over them, the windows were arched with red stained glass and there were ghoulish paintings depicting vampires feasting on humans throughout Remnant's history. What really made his skin crawl, however, were the bats roaming the ceiling and gnashing their teeth. Oscar placed his hand into his pocket and pulled out a butterfly knife. The handle was a stark white and bore an emblem of a bird with a flamed tailfeather. Soon, Oscar had reached the end of the hallway and saw a large, double door. This was it, the bedroom of the Queen.

Oscar: *knocks the door*

???: Who is it?

Oscar: I'm here to see the Queen. Let me in.

The door opened and Sage Ayana peered out wearing nothing but loose trousers.

Sage: *groans* Oh great. It's you.

Oscar: Hmph. Hello Sage. I'm sorry to bother you, but-

Sage: Spare me the bullcrap, huntsman. Me and milady are busy here. So either turn around *fangs protact* or I rip out your throat!

Oscar: *chuckles* You know you can'f touch me. Your Queen won't allow it.

Sage: *grabs Oscar's shirt* You little-

???: Put. Him. Down.

Sage and turned their attention to a beautiful blonde woman wearing nothing but a silky, golden yellow robe. It was the Vampire Queen, Yang Xiao Long.

Sage: *growls* Yes, Milady. *releases him*

Oscar: Thank you, sir. *looks at Yang* Can I speak with you, please? Alone?

Yang: *smirks* You're always welcome in my chambers. Sage, please leave us for the moment.

Sage: Very well. *gathers his clothes and leavss*

Oscar: There's something I'm investigating and I believe it leads back to your club. Would you help me?

Yang: First thing's first. *bares fangs* If you want info, you know the price.

Oscar: Oh... yeah. That. *sighs* Let's just get this over with.

Oscar unbuttoned his shirt slightly and pulled the collar down to expose his neck. Yang licked her lips voraciously and leaned into him, kissing his neck. The scent of fresh peaches caught Oscar's nose and he hummed in satisfaction. However, that soon turned into discomfort as he felt the sting of Yang's fangs.

Oscar: *closes eyes* Agggh!!! Ah, damn!

Yang: Mmmmmm~ *releases Oscar* Still as delicious as ever. *licks her fingers*

Oscar: *pants* Glad you... agh... think so. *clears throat* Anyway, what do you know about this? *hands Yang the knife*

Yang: Hmm? *inspects knife* This is pretty. Where did you find this?

Oscar: It was at the scene of a murder. The victim was Melanie Malachite, one of your staff members. This club has made a lot of enemies over the years. Can you think of anyone who might want you and your members dead?

Yang: *strokes finger over the blade* There was someone who arrived here a few days ago. He claimed that he had a thing for vampires and wanted to... *smirks* well, you know how it goes.

Oscar: *shakes head*

Yang: Anyway, I had a quick look at his belt and saw a knife in the holster. Hsd the exact same emblem and everything.

Oscar: Any idea what the guy what the guy looked like?

Yang: *nods* Spiky orange hair and yellow eyes. He wore a black jacket too.

Oscar: I see. *sighs* Well, it's not much to go on, but it'll have to do for now. *stands up* Looks like I've got another hunt. Thanks Yang.

Yang: W-Wait! You're not seriously going after him, are you?

Oscar: I've got no choice. If he's out there, everyone in here will be in danger and... *cups her cheek* I don't want him to hurt you.

Yang: Oh Oscar. *kisses his hand* Just promise me you'll be okay.

Oscar: *small smile* I promise.

Oscar put both his hands on her cheeks and pulled her in for a long, deep kiss. Yang wrapped her hands at the back of his neck and kissed him deeper. Neither of them wanted to let go. As the Queen of the Vampires, Yang could have any monster she wanted. But her heart belonged to a human. A human named Oscar Pine.
