John had the urge to nudge him, but given that he was in a delicate physical state, he took his hand instead without giving it a second thought. Bucky opened his mouth, like trying to say something, but he continued before he could.

“You were in surgery for six yours, you know that?”

“I took a bullet for you, I think I have a good excuse for that.”

“Three bullets. They were three, you dumbass,” John said back, trying not to raise his voice. He wasn’t mad at Bucky, that was what he tried not to show. He was mad at his own self for letting Bucky put himself in danger for him, someone capable of taking bullets and surviving on his own.

“Hey, it could be worse,” the brunette one said with an uplifting tone, “I could be in a coma, and I’m not. Look how alive I am!”

I shall receive a symphonic metal song (already good) probably with male operatic vocals (even better) from one of my favourite newer bands (ooomg) about one of my favourite mythological birds (whaaat) from Persian myth (ohhhhhhhh) and they made a video for it (hdhgjskdgfjsdgjasdnf).

It's like the concept was tailor-made for me. Like if someone had asked me to think of the ideal song idea that would please me the most, this would have been a strong contender.
