There are people out there who genuinely think that the Starks aren’t thematically linked to ice in a way that is meaningful and central to the story? What?? I mean, never mind that they’re characterized as exclusively living in a frozen land, it is said that a Stark who goes south of the Neck melts. It’s not like their ancestral sword is called Ice. It’s not like they rule a castle called Winterfell. It’s not like their house words are “Winter is coming”. It’s not like their banner is a direwolf (a creature that is now synonymous with the snowy north) running on what is described as either snow or an ice-white background. It’s not like they are consistently characterized with having icy or cold demeanors to the point of it being a house trait (e.g., Benjen, Ned, Jon). It’s not like they ruled thousands of years as Kings of Winter. It’s not like the Starks, the wolves, are said to be uniquely suited to surviving winter. It’s not like a big part of their house legacy and how they even came to be is the construction of a giant ice Wall. It’s not like a key historical event in the last couple centuries is the Pact of Ice (Stark) and Fire (Targaryen). Apparently none of that matters 🙄 It’s so disingenuous to claim that any house with First Men blood would take on the role of ice. No, that’s a special characteristic given to the STARKS, and their connection with ice and winter and snow has thematic relevance.

a long time ago i started a winter grandma-core island that i never finished.. like i didnt even halfway finish i burned out so fast and just decided to restart the island.. however i do think it was mostly bc of the winter part and not at all the grandma vibes, so im thinking of trying grandmacore again! i also just think it could be nice to work on such a cozy theme during christmas and real life winter👀🌲🍃🍂

#oc#original character#oc illustration#digital art#blue hair#singing#dancing#winter theme#Another npc from my ttrpg campaign!#Her name is Amelie Felicienne Honorius#Incoming OC lore drop#fancy soft noblewoman who is very sheltered and polite but also aloof in a way where she prefers to keep to herself#she has a voice that can crystalize the air into ice and it responds to her singing#she performs for the noble court and is amazing at it especially with the ice magic she brings with her performances#she didn't have good control over her voice magic at first and her father is also overprotective so she doesn't have much life experience#she does her best to understand others even though she still is figuring out herself#many people see her as the superstar singer of a prestigious holy knight family so she works hard to keep that image up#hoping she would eventually become that image completely#she's actually quite rebellious too beneath that elegance in public and shyness at gatherings#so she knows trying to become this image will be very difficult#not that it's best for her but that's all she knows thanks to her protective dad#she is unfortunately very trusting of her dad even though he's got a lot of issues and would not approve of rebellious behavior#Amelie is good and one of my many daughters I love her

I’ve decided to halt my CC Sort and Deep Clean for a little bit to start another project that I hopefully won't quit halfway through
So, Introducing Lot 1 in the Saffron Bay Renovation Project...Holloway Legacy Park and Community Garden!
It’s just a Big Park, but I want it to change with the seasons like a festival lot. This is the summer theme: Summer Movie Nights! They show one free kid’s movie every Sunday and Wednesday at 5:30pm, and one family-friendly action movie every Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm. One free Cotton candy or small Popcorn with every ticket!
