A Month of Gratitude - April 26. Although it’s incomplete, I’m sharing a photo of my current project - because I can’t let this day go by without expressing my deepest gratitude for Zentangle and its founders. Discovering and pursuing this inspirational mindfulness practice has brought so much to my life - an outlet for creativity; opportunities for calm, peace, and relaxation; the discovery that I love teaching something I love; and, as a teacher, the privilege of connecting with others as I share the beauty and possibilities of Zentangle. Of all the pastimes I ever could have had the good fortune to stumble upon, this is by far the most joy-filled!

Three years ago today I was accepted as an artist member at Walkerville Artists' Co-op, and this happening changed my life in more ways than you might imagine. I’m so grateful for all of the beautiful people, wonderful opportunities, and creative inspiration that being a part of this group has brought my way, and it seems only fitting that this evening I finished a design that is to be used as a thank you card for gallery volunteers. Perfect timing! Here’s to more artistic adventures to come. ❤️

SRH1, 2020/02/26 to 2020/03/28. Part of following the “Always Hungry?” way of life is to develop and call on a variety of life supports, one of which is stress relief habits. I decided early on that Zentangle would be one of mine. I found a small Moleskine sketchbook in my stash and dedicated it to no-pressure, no agenda, no mistakes, stress-relieving tangling, a little (or a lot) each day as necessary. I haven’t always managed to draw something every day, but it’s been there when I needed it, and now my first page is complete.

A Month of Gratitude - April 29. Today I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to take a Zentangle “Unity Glow Tile” class from a fellow CZT - such an inspiring and creative way to wrap up my day!
