It’s been a really rough week in several different ways, so I welcomed the escape of last night’s “Gel Plate - Creating a Landscape” class taught by WAC Member Artist Leslie Harper-Reid and held at Walkerville Artists Collective. Sadly my mental capacity was pretty much tapped out, so I struggled a bit with getting things to work the way I needed them to, but it’s all good. Here are a few of my prints - I see lots of practice in my future. 😂😜 Looking forward to the next time!

I had an awesome time last night with a few friends and other students at an “Introduction to Gel Plate Printmaking” class taught by WAC Member Artist Leslie Harper-Reid and held at Walkerville Artists Collective. It was my first experience with printmaking of any kind, and Leslie led us through a comprehensive and easy to understand introduction to the medium, with plenty of time to play and experiment. The evening was so much fun and absolutely flew by! I’m eager to do some practicing at home, and will be on the lookout for more classes taught by Leslie. Thank you for a great evening! 🥰

If you missed out today, I’m offering another session at WAC (1295 Ottawa Street, Windsor, Ontario) on Monday, July 15 starting at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $40 per person, which includes a special “Introduction to Zentangle” supply kit. Students may keep this kit to continue their Zentangle practice at home, and should bring it to any future in-person advanced “next level” classes.
“Introduction to Zentangle” is a prerequisite to many Certified Zentangle Teachers’ advanced/next level and Zentangle-Inspired Art classes. All are welcome, and no previous artistic experience is required - if you can write your name, you can create art with the Zentangle Method! To register, please visit https://store.laurelstorey.com. Looking forward to tangling and learning with you!
