WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD : Toni Wells' First Solo Exhibit at the Leamington Arts Centre, April - June. Opening  Reception & Awards: Thurs April 17, 7-9pm A compilation of paintings, watercolours, and drawings of the natural world with warm and bright layers of colours, textures, and patterns.  Like the song, this show is designed to remind us all that despite the ugliness in this world and our increasingly stressful lives, we need to stop once in awhile to just enjoy the world around us – blue skies, roses, rainbows, the warmth and friendliness of people, and this exhibit.   Toni is a member of The Windsor Arts Council, Artcite Inc., The Arts and Cultural Alliance, The Leamington Arts Centre, and The Area Representational Artists Group in Windsor. New Painting in progress. A small peek of a larger work. I often wonder if I should be taking this exploration journey, every time I start a painting, the doubt and lack of painting experience creeps in, even though I'm only painting for myself!! Then magically the painting starts to come together, I start liking it, I start wanting to work on it more..... Here's an ooooold picture from a series I did in my undergrad. I took several random books/textbooks I found and used the pages to create origami. Each piece in the series was named after the book it came from. This was titled: Psychology of Exceptional Youth & Children #origami #oldbooks #windsorartist

Always great to learn a new skill and end up with a finished piece! If you missed out today, I’m offering another session at WAC (1295 Ottawa Street, Windsor, Ontario) on Monday, July 15 starting at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $40 per person, which includes a special “Introduction to Zentangle” supply kit. Students may keep this kit to continue their Zentangle practice at home, and should bring it to any future in-person advanced “next level” classes.

“Introduction to Zentangle” is a prerequisite to many Certified Zentangle Teachers’ advanced/next level and Zentangle-Inspired Art classes.
