Also... can we speak about how evil that was off her? That's why Julian Keller was into Iara in any of her forms, he gets it.🤷🏾‍♀️

Dazzler appears in a talk show where she is interviewed by a talk show host about the mutant-human relations and the metaphor from her latest song about mutants outing themselves. After the interview at the talk show, Dazzler's performance turns into a PR disaster when a telepathic mutant manipulates them into attacking the humans and at each other. After Domino wakes Dazzler up from a spell, they work together in apprehending the telepathic culprit who attempted to sabotage their performance. As they manage to apprehend him, the telepath confesses that he was blackmailed into sabotaging the Dazzler Show by the anti-mutant organization so that they would leave his family alone if he does what they tell him to do.

Hi, another Academy question. I was wondering when and how Julian, Sofia and Prodigy's powers first manifested? What were the circumstances around them?

We don't have specific incidents that we plotted and planned to show for each of them, just a general sense...

Sofia's power first manifested as the whispers on the wind power. She could hear things she shouldn't, because the wind brought sound to her. It caused social issues for her, and those issues forced her to develop the power further to hear what people were saying about her.

Julian probably made his toys fly around as a small child and freaked his parents out. But we never figured out more than that, and even that is a visual image we have from a telekinetic character in one of the novels we're writing. We think it came from that character first and just migrated into Julian's backstory, only to end up hers again when we decided to write the book about her.

David? David probably was unaware he had powers for a very long time - and was left to figure out why he knew so much and then lost what he knew. Only when he figured out the nature of his powers could he plan on how to work with them. So our guess? Manifested young, but realized the truth as a teen.

I keep debating about reading the “Dazzler” mini, since it has Wind Dancer…but everyone keeps saying her representation and writing sucks…so… ☹️

Dazzler and her band are having a show on a live concert when she gets attacked by Scorpia. While Dazzler and Scorpia are having a fight (and dancing at the same time for the latter), the mutant security team (consisting of Domino, Strong Guy and Multiple Man) are not sure whether they could interfere or not at the risk of exposing themselves in front of the audience who are both mutants and humans. Dazzler manages to hold off Scorpia by dodging her stinger tail from dancing around, using her light powers and singing at the same time. However, as Scorpia blasts at the singer; the blasts had not only scratched Dazzler, it also hit Shark Girl's image inducer device which exposed her mutant appearance. Despite that, Dazzler lets her concert show go on so she blinds Scorpia with her light show to knock her out. Then, Dazzler outs herself and her band mates (mainly Shark Girl) to the audience that they are mutants. Even though the threat (Scorpia and mutant-hating humans) had been dealt with, Sofia Mantega has mixed feelings about the news of Dazzler outing herself.
