Convinced a 20 year old passively cooled windows xp laptop to stream youtube. It's a toughbook cf-18 a laptop popular with the military and police, it was commonly mounted in police cruisers. It seems that you can actually find out what your toughbook was used for if the product id on the bottom matches with a user compiled list online, unfortunately mine was just a basic model that wasn't sold in a batch.

Speaking of which this laptop has a 1.2ghz pentium m, the max ram this pc can support 1.5 gb, a digitizer and the original pen (i think), a new battery, and finally I modded it to take a 240gb sata ssd! This mod involves the smallest ide to sata adapter i could find and a pny ssd i cut in half!

This laptop wasn't just popular with pigs, due to being passively cooled the internals are heavily shielded from all sorts of damage and was very useful for field research, doctors and nurses, construction workers, and pretty much anybody who needed a durable reliable and splash proof laptop in the mid 2000's.

According to trustedreviews.com who made an article on it in 2006 this thing retailed for 2400 pounds, although I'm sure there were discounts to be found. This laptop did come with lots of bells and whistles though, it has a digitizer screen and a pen with 1 button, a swivelling hinge for use in tablet mode, hotswap batteries and hard drives, rubber seals on all of its ports, a fabric strap to hold it one handed and for easy carrying, a latch to secure it closed or secure it in tablet mode, and of course a heavy ~11" magnesium shell that lets it be literally thrown around!

Q2 – industrial and computerized again

 Summer gaming at the country house with lots of good memories about country house. Nostalgia about old games. Green grass and good weather. What can be better? I remember some best moments at the village. And, of course, beyond the weather. It is summer, at least. And weather is fine. It is hot. Some insects and birds. It is good. And, well, not only these things, and also a retro games. With my old win xp machine.

 I am playing second Quake. And I start gaming pretty low condition. It is a thing, that I move a little last time. And was busy more with country house activities. And also stuck. So, I entered the pyramid. And its askes me some key card for next door. I do not have a key. And this is it.

 And I walk here and there like a fool. Along the level. I also enter the previous locations, in a hope, that computer will be alive and tell me what to do. But it was not like this. Empty labyrinths. And I walk here and there. And I get bored, even.

 And what it was? Yes, it was simple. At one of previous locations. So, it was also with some water. It was a key card. I was distracted by borgs. Distracted because of crossfire. And I skip this key card. I take it. I see it. When I visit location again.

 And, I was already thinking, that I will go here and there for a long time. But, I already with key card and I am running into pyramid. Go down with lift. Key card enters the entrance. Loading. Next map. Yea, I moved forward!

 And here I have such a wow! Quake can do a surprise to you! Yes! What I can see here! Industrial base, again. And I think, I will all sector walks with medieval or prison block. And that can be dark and gloomy, and even a little depressing. And this is such a beauty of industrial and computer systems.

 New effects. Before I never see them. Blue and red laser beams. Such beams, which defend, and if you go close, you will get hurt.

 And I am going under that beams. Get up. And it is some cyborg, there. With track. It is a big monster with tracks. It can shoot me with a rocket. And I put him down with a grenade launcher.   Industrial and computer base makes this game fresh again. And, adds interesting again. Quake already is more tricky game. Labyrinths here you have. Yes, they are not with 1000  turns.
