Introduction: Born in Florida, Penny was just a typical poor kid born to a family of immigrants growing up in the late 90s and early 2000s. His life was mostly unremarkable, a bit of a free spirit, a little bit of a trouble maker, things didn't start getting complicated until his freshman year when his latent magical powers started to show. Not understanding why he was suddenly hearing voices, seemingly other people's thoughts, bombarding his head, he tried to drown it out with harder partying and more frequent drug use. Then he started to hear one particular voice that wasn't drowned out as easily, a voice telling him that he wasn't alone. The voice became a friend, a teacher, a confidant, helping him to hone his abilities and quiet the voices.

After high school, Penny found himself an applicant for a secret magic college, Brakebills, and began to learn even more about his magic and how to control it, eventually discovering he's what's known as a Traveler; a magician capable of physically or astrally traveling to anywhere in the world, eventually to other worlds, realms, universes, and even different times.

His life takes an entirely new twist when he winds up tangled in an adventure to save magic itself in another world known as Fillory.

He really, really hates that place.

long story short; Penny is cured from the super cancer, gets stuck astrally out of his living body for a period of time, gets back in said body with the help of Penny 23. On the run from the Library, he takes up political, magical, and celestial asylum in Fillory, working as an advisor to the High King and Queen.

Interactions will default to the scenario above unless requested. That's not to say I'm against writing Penny 23 or doing threads involving Penny in the Afterlife/Underworld, but those interactions would have to be requested specifically. I also haven't seen past the first few episodes of season 4, but I am in the middle of a rewatch.
