“Where is Charlotte?” Willfried asked, “I thought you said we will be introduced for the first time?”

Florencia sipped on her tea, as if nothing was wrong. Currently, Sylvester was here to tell Wilfried about Charlotte’s adoption into another Duchy, using this convenient excuse, she held a tea party so she could see her eldest son once - how long has it been since she last saw him? One month? Two months? The days blurred together, even more so after Charlotte had left.

Sylvester looked like he had aged by ten years, ‘ Good. ’ Florencia thought to herself, ‘ He deserves to feel a portion of the despair I had felt ever since he took my children away from me. ’

“I was not.” Sylvester said, “I sent a message for a tea party so we could talk about Charlotte.”

“Why should we even care about that girl?” Florencia’s grip around her cup tightened as she heard that voice, “She will not become Aub! My adorable little Grandson would~!”

Florencia kept a calm face, it was becoming much harder to do so these past few weeks, her lips twitched downwards for a moment when she saw Wilfried smile at the woman, “Yes grandmother~!”

Florencia had trouble staying present in the room, not in the physical sense, however, she did find herself drifting off into her own mind, thinking fantastical scenarios. Why had Sylvester given her children away? Why could he not stand up to his mother? Why did he have to be so weak? He was the Aub was he not? He should have been able to come up with a plan so she would have been allowed to keep her children close to her- 

“My Lady?” Florencia was snapped out of her trance, “Are you alright?” Leberecht asked, “Shall I get you a cup of tea?”

Florenica could not remember the meeting nor what had been discussed, that was not to say she did not remember glimpses and flashes of what had occurred - she could only remember the way Wilfried looked at Veronica, how Veronica looked at her . Her vicious, victorious smile, almost as if she was saying, ‘ I won, your son is mine while you only have Sylvester’s lip service, you should try talking to Wilfried, although, I doubt he would recognise you as his mother. ’

“My Lady?”

“I am feeling well… Leberecht.” Florencia said with a smile, “I was… Simply thinking about some things.” She… She wanted that horrible woman gone , not for the first time in her life, Florencia wished she did not marry Sylvester, she wished Sylvester had not been an out-of-season Ewigeliebe so she could have gotten more marriage proposals, whilst she did love him - in the beginning at the very least - she wished her husband was stronger so she would not have to feel the pain of being separated from not one, but two of her children, she wished she had the strength and could have shed the last bits of pride she had as an Archduke candidate from a higher ranked duchy to ask her brother for refuge for herself and her children. ‘ I wish I wish I wish ’, “I wish her dead.” 

“Is that an order?” Leberecht asked.

For perhaps the twentieth time today, Florencia was broken out of her trance, “Excuse me?”

Leberecht bowed and crossed his arms, “My Lady, I am your humble retainer, it is my duty to make sure you are comfortable and it is my duty to make your aspirations come true, I have and always will do whatever you wish of me. When you ask me to jump, my only question could be ‘how high?’. Therefore, My Lady, as your faithful scholar I ask you. Shall I deal with the problem?”

“Give the child to me!” Her Feybeast-in-law said once upon a time, “I shall raise him!”

“Sylvester please!” She begged, still weak from the pregnancy so she could not walk out nor run to her hidden room with Wilfried in her arms.

“Mother I-”

“I raised THREE Archduke candidates! One of them is the Wife of the Greater Duchy of Ahrensbach and the other is you! Aub Ehrenfest! Do you actually believe the second daughter of a third wife is as capable as I am to raise the next heir of Ehrenfest?”

“My Lady?” Leberecht asked.

“Sylvester…” Florencia said, “Please…”

“Promise me.” Florencia said, “Promise me you will not get caught.” She could not bear to lose another person close to her so soon.

“I am sorry…” Sylvester took her baby from her arms and gave him to the Goddess of Chaos incarnate, “Please Mother, take good care of him…”

The Feybeast smiled, “I will.”

Her thoughtful retainer smiled, “I will.”

Team loyalty is a surefire route to corruption, regardless of what team you're talking about. Let's just start with the big example: War crimes are war crimes and should be punished appropriately. It does not matter what the ethnicity, nationality, faith, sexual orientation, or gender of those committing the war crimes. If an institution is encouraging those war crimes, then it too should suffer consequences. Opposing those committing war crimes -- and let's be clear, we're talking about genocide, rape, bombing hospitals and aid workers, all very established and obvious war crimes -- is not the same thing as judging all members who happen to share the criminal's nationality, faith, ethnicity, etc. Apply that statement as you like to Hamas, Israel, Russia, Ukraine, the US, China... the list goes on. On a smaller scale, I'm glad Hunter Biden was convicted of a crime that he committed 1. That is what is supposed to happen, even if it's not a great thing for my "side". Likewise, I'm glad Donald Trump was convicted of a crime that he committed. That is what is supposed to happen, whether or not it's a good thing for my "side". The corruption sets in the moment that your "side" winning becomes more important than your morals, ideals, and laws. Today is not one but TWO Champions League finals today. We’ve got UEFA and Concacaf and I’m very stoked for both games. For the UEFA at 2:00 PM we have Real Madrid vs Dortmund and while Madrid are the reigning champions of this league what’s worth noting is that even though it’s been fluke it’s been a wild ride for Dortmund to make it all the way to the final and I’m hoping they win simply for the sake of shaking things up within this Champions League because beating the 13 time winner will do exactly that in various ways, especially a dark horse like Dortmund being the ones doing it.

Now, for the Concacaf we have Pachuca vs Columbus Crew. Let me tell ya baby how hard I am pulling for the crew in this match up lol. So, it has been quite awhile since an MLS team won the Concacaf and with Miami losing to Monterrey in the QF Columbus is our league’s last hope for this major puece of silverware this year. A Liga MX team always takes it but with Willfried Nancy coaching and the team they have I 100% believe the Crew can win the match and bring home the trophy.

I just had some funny thoughts on Ferdinand.

It’s a real pity that anime only watchers would not be able to understand and appreciate just how crazy Ferdinand are. When looked at certain angle, he could be said to be stern and unforgiving, while on another angle, he could be said to be crazy.

Remember that one time he threaten Maine to stop recklessly using her mana or not he’s going to tie her to a chair and made her listen to him describing gory description of how people who cannot control their mana die?

Also, remember the time he actually do so to Willfried because he’s annoyed by the kid’s whiny and bratty temperament? Honestly, when compared to how Ferdinand treat others, he could be said to be spoiling Maine!

Also, remember the time in 2nd year House of Lords where the royals were attacked on the graduation ceremony/Territories War? Yeah, Ferdinand blasted that Turnis Baphalem into ashes using high density of magic power in a crowded space. Heishitz shouted “Who the hell use such destructive magic in this place?!” and then Ferdinand calmly reply “Me.” It was so comical because after that, the other side could not even complain. Because the one that done it is Ferdinand. LOL 

Also, the time when Ferdinand was fighting with Airvermeen and Gervagio? Haha that was priceless. The Goddess said that “There shall not be any killing.” and then Ferdinand opt to kick the man in the stomach, bound him with magic rope, rendering him immobile and useless to even continue competing with Maine. That was truly priceless! Airvermeen could only watch and express how scummy he thought Ferdinand was!! Hahahaha!!

There’s also the time when he threaten the royal family into submission. Aub Ehrenfest, Aub Dunkelfelger, Zent Traokvar and everyone there legit get gastric pain that day. Ferdinand just keeps on shooting bullets with his every words, not even caring about any of them.

There’s many more instances where I think Ferdinand were so badass-ly crazy and just outright humorous but putting that aside, after rereading the webnovel and light novel, I am once again reminded how good he treats Maine. Seriously, like when we got comparison, it’s just impossible to ignore. 

First, he provide her potion/medicine for free even though he charges everyone else, including his own brother. Second, He listens to Maine’s opinion even though they’re very weird and will explain everything to her. He could touch Maine no problem even though he avoid physical contact with human as much as possible (Heck, he love to play with her cheeks.). Third, he made sure to think about her feelings and made sure he’s there to calm her down when she’s sad. (Gyuu! OMG I love it!!) Fourth, he made sure to take care of her family even when after he’s gone. (AKA arranging Damuel as intermediary.) Fifth, he made her many amulets and accessories even though he didn’t even put any effort for his fiancée's engagement stone. (He legit made Maine a talisman hairpin instead of the engagement stone before leaving for his engagement. What the hell? yeah we hate Dietrinde but for those who didn’t know the inside story, that’s just weird Ferdinand.) Sixth, he’s considerate to Maine when he knows Maine hates seeing blood. Every time things got bloody he’d cover her with his sleeve. Seventh, he let Maine into his hidden room. That’s private space yo! Not even family members went into each other’s hidden room.

There’s many more but I could not name them at the top of my head. Anyway, as obvious as it is, I’m a Fermai shipper. Hopefully we get that sweet season 3 soon!

Als wir unsere TAPFEREN HELDEN zum letzten Mal sahen, waren JAGATHAI KRÄHENAUGE und seine Freunde hinabgestiegen in den TEMPEL DES TODES. Dort wollten sie den WIDERWÄRTIGEN VINCENZ bezwingen, welcher die Heiligen Hallen der GOBLIN-GÖTTIN EOR geschändet hatte. Ebenfalls hatte er das MÄDCHEN MINERVA entführt, welche von ihren drei BESTIEN-BRÜDERN gesucht wird, jedoch bislang ohne Erfolg. JAGATHAIs Kommando steht nun in den Skelettstaub-Kammern, in denen arme Gefangene in ALKOVEN DER VERZWEIFLUNG zu Tode gemartert werden … Das Kommando JAGATHAI durchkämmt weitere Räume, findet nur Opfer und arbeitende Untote, die unsere Tapferen Helden nicht beachten. Mehrere Unglückliche können gerettet werden, darunter der Zwerg JAWIN, der offenbar Teil von XAGHULs Gruppe war – und den er in Ketten nach HOHLENHEIM schaffen will. Ein Mensch, SIMONDUS, ist Jäger aus SCHÖNBLICK und will versuchen, sich in sein Dorf durchzuschlagen. Die Treppe zum Hauptraum im Norden (Tür mit Mondphasen) ist mit einer offensichtlichen Falle gesichert. Glücklicherweise hat die Zeitschleife der BESTIEN-BRÜDER gerade Mittag, und sie kommen erneut in den TEMPEL DES TODES gestolpert. Sie lösen die Falle aus, entgehen aber den Speeren. Unsere Tapferen Helden folgen ihnen in die HAUPTKAMMER, eine mit gewaltigen Säulen gestützte, riesige Halle. Darin ein MONDWASSERBECKEN, von dem die BESTIEN-BRÜDER angezogen werden. JAGHATAIs Kommando kann einen aufhalten, die anderen beiden verwandeln sich in Werwölfe, und greifen an. Wir kämpfen, und es manifestiert sich eine geisterhafte Gestalt, die uns anfleht, ihre Brüder nicht zu verletzen – offensichtlich das MÄDCHEN MINERVA, jetzt auch verändert. Sie hilft ein wenig, stört aber noch mehr; vor allem, nachdem sich herausstellt, dass die Helden die Brüder ohnehin nicht hätten töten können, da sie stets wiederkehren. Nachdem alle BESTIEN-BRÜDER vertrieben oder (zeitweilig) getötet sind, können wir mit ihr reden. Grund für alle Probleme ist, wie erwartet, der WIDERWÄRTIGE VINCENZ. Er hat den Tempel besetzt, die Untoten erschaffen, die Brüder verzaubert und auch sie in ihren derzeitigen Zustand versetzt. Sein Ziel ist generelle 08/15-Weltherrschafts-Megalomanie. Minerva ist mehr als nur ein wenig unsympathisch; sie verteidigt seine Handlungen auch jetzt noch, macht aber keine Anstalten, die Helden aufzuhalten. JAGATHAIs Kommando beschließt, da der WIDERWÄRTIGE VINCENZ sie offenbar nicht beachten wird, bis sie eine ernsthafte Bedrohung darstellen, erst den Tempel gründlich zu untersuchen, bevor sie ihn stellen. In der HAUPTKAMMER finden sich nur noch seltsame RUNEN aus silbrigem Metall auf den Säulen, die wohl etwas mit der Todesmagie zu tun haben; IOLAS schreibt sie ab. Außerdem schmeckt das Wasser nach Salz, hat aber weiter keine Effekte auf tapfere Goblins. Eine Nebenkammer (Tür mit Halbmond aus demselben Metall wie die Runen, davor Rosen abgelegt) enthält eine intakte KAPELLE für die Göttin EOR, und sehr viele Pflanzen. WILLFRIED erkennt sie als Todessterne (giftig) und Augenstiele (heilend); werden geerntet. Der ALTAR leuchtet mit Mondlicht, als JAGATHAI darauf zur Göttin betet, schenkt sie ihm fünf Visionen: Schwarzer Sand mit Zähnen und Klauen (vermutlich ein Hinweis auf die Untotenarmee), eine schreiende Frau, gefangen in einem blauen Kristall (eventuell Minerva), den Altar selbst, eine Tür im Tempel, die mit einer schimmernden, silbernen Scheibe geöffnet wird (vielleicht ein Hinweis, wie man zu Vincenz kommt) und schließlich eine Ziegelwand mit einem weißen X darauf (möglicherweise eine Schwachstelle für einen Überraschungsangriff). Die Tapferen Helden legen ihre Waffen auf EORs Altar, jede wird gesegnet und ist nun ein Artefakt (+1D8 Schaden) Danach dringt das Kommando JAGHATAI noch in einen Lagerraum vor, der viele nützliche Ausrüstungskisten enthält, aber auch ein Skelettpferd, welches eventuell aktiv wird, wenn man etwas wegzunehmen versucht. Ob unsere Tapferen Helden der KNOCHEN-KREATUR ausweichen oder sich ihr stellen, sehen wir beim nächsten Mal …
