word count: 1,773
You and Will been partners for years. You’d been best friends for years. You knew each other better than anyone else did.
At least, that was until JJ came along.
The BAU had been assisting with a case in New Orleans, and it had become very obvious very quickly that JJ and Will had become rather smitten with each other. You’d found them having a drink together in the bar during the case, and that look in Will’s eyes was one that you’d had in yours for years.
And you, with your secret little crush, were devastated.
After Will left the department and moved to Virginia to marry JJ, you lost contact. Sure, there was the occasional message sent between the two of you, but it had been so long since you’d seen him. Perhaps it was for the best, though. It hurt far too much knowing that the man you loved unconditionally was married to another woman.
Quite honestly, you never thought you’d see him again, so it was a complete shock when he appeared at the New Orleans Police Department one random Tuesday morning. And, judging from the stuffy nose, red-rimmed eyes, and downright sour expression on his face, he wasn’t doing too good.
“Will?!”
Seeing him standing at the door to your office almost felt like some sort of fever dream.
It had been seven years since he’d moved to Virginia to live with JJ. You couldn’t think about that thought for too long, though. It hurt a little too much.
You got up from your desk, and after throwing all professionalism out of the window, you practically threw yourself at Will with a squeal of pure excitement, “You’re back! Oh my God, you’re actually back!”
There was a small oof sound as you threw yourself at Will, and then his surprised expression was quickly replaced by that familiar smile that you’d grown so attached to. The one that he’d only give when he was truly happy, “Well, I’ll be damned,” he chuckled, picking you up with ease and spinning you around in a small circle before setting you back down on your feet, “Damn, I missed you.”
“I missed you, too,” your response was immediate. Seven long years with barely any contact between the two of you. It wasn’t hard to admit that you’d missed him more than anything in the entire world, “It’s so good to see you. I didn’t think you’d ever come back to New Orleans.”
At that, Will’s smile dimmed slightly, and you could’ve sworn that you saw a flash of something akin to guilt in his eyes. Out of habit, one that you’d picked up years ago, you quickly glanced down at his left hand.
His wedding ring was gone.
There was a heavy silence before he answered, and when he did, his voice was quiet, “Things change, sugar.”
Sugar. You loved that nickname. He’d called you it once when you’d both been a little bit too inebriated at a Christmas party a couple of years ago when you were relatively new to the NOPD. Since then, it had stuck around, and it made your heart do strange little flips inside your chest whenever he said it so casually.
“Yeah,” you tore your eyes up from his wedding ring-less finger to meet his eyes. It was only then that you could see the lingering hints of sadness hidden in them, with the tiniest hints of resignation and anger, too, “Things change.”
You’d never wanted to pry into someone’s personal life so badly in your entire life. But, out of respect for him, you didn’t. At least, not in a way that was as forward as you would’ve liked, “How are you doing? Cause, I’ll be honest, you look like shit.”
Will let out a low chuckle at that, and you could’ve sworn that the corners of his lips turned up a little crooked grin that you knew and loved, “You’re the only one who can say I look like shit and get away with it,” that grin on his lips faded slightly, and he ran a hand through his hair as his expression became more somber, “Not exactly been the best few days, sugar.”
You hummed in response to that, rocking back and forth on the balls of your feet slightly as you pursed your lips in thought. Clearly, you weren’t going to get any more out of him, “Well, that’s no good,” and then, a hint of a smile tugged at your lips, “C’mon. You’re coming for a drink with me.”
That pulled an exasperated laugh from Will’s lips, “Of course, that’s your solution.”
“Oh, c’mon, Will. You know me. I’ll never pass up the opportunity for a good drink,” you gave him a gentle shove as you turned on your heel and headed back to your desk, “I’ll finish up, and we’ll go, hm?”
Will laughed at that. You hadn’t realized until that moment how much you’d missed his laugh, “Fine, I’m in,” he ran a hand through his unkept hair, and smiled at you, “You’re very convincing, sugar.”
You snorted at that, “It’s really not that hard to convince you of anything.”
ꨄ︎
“So, what,” you rested your chin in the palm of one hand, and you held your drink tightly with the other, “She loved him all along?!”
Will took a sip of his own drink, his eyes averting from yours as if he was ashamed. That broke your heart, “Pretty much.”
It really hadn’t taken much convincing to get Will to tell you about everything that had been going on in his life. As soon as you’d taken your usual seats at the bar, he’d practically started talking your ear off. You hadn’t even gotten a whiskey in him by that point.
“Jesus,” you clicked your tongue against your teeth, “She’s been in love with Spencer this whole time?! I always knew she was a…” you were cut off when Will shot you a half amused/half exasperated glance, “Sorry. Just… God, I’m sorry, Will.”
Will chuckled at that, and the sadness behind it was brutal, “There ain’t much I can do about it now, is there?” he took another slow sip of his drink, and he sighed heavily, “Seven years straight down the drain.”
You hummed in response to that, fingertips tapping against your glass, “I don't get it. They've worked together for years. Why didn't she say anything before?”
Will scoffed at that, “There was this whole thing with an unsub, and she says he forced her to say it, but,” he shook his head, and it was only then that you noticed his hand clenched into a tight fist in his lap, “It's the principle. If she kept this from me, then what else did she keep from me? Are the kids even mine? I…”
“Woah. Hey. No,” you grabbed Will's hand, unfurling it so he wasn't digging his nails into his palm, though you tutted at the crescent shaped marks already left on his skin, “You'll spiral if you keep talking like that, Will. You can't afford to spiral.”
Will gave another one of those snorts, but it was a bit less bitter this time, “I'm already spirallin’, sugar,” he shifted his hand slightly so he was holding yours, “I thought we could make it work. We tried for months, but there was always this voice in the back of my head,” he took another sip of his drink, a much longer one this time, “She said she wasn't hidin’ anything else, but…”
“You don't have to explain yourself to me, Will,” despite how much you wanted to know the details, you could tell how much it hurt him to talk about it.
“No, I want to,” Will shot you a look, and he gave your hand the slightest squeeze, “You're the only one I feel like I can trust right now.”
Admittedly, that filled you with so much pride and warmth. He trusted you. You knew that he did, but hearing it made you feel even better, “Is that why you came back? Because of me?”
You hadn't meant to say that, but the words came out of your mouth before you could stop them, and you very quickly realized how desperate it sounded.
Will scoffed out a laugh at that, but it was a much more cheerful one than you'd heard previously, “As good of a reason as any,” he let go of your hand to reach into his pocket, “Couldn't bring myself to get rid of the ring.”
You stared at the wedding ring as he placed it on the bar, and that was the first time that you actually felt emotional about the entire situation. All for Will's benefit, of course, “Oh, Will…”
He cleared his throat, and that was the first time you noticed that he was teary-eyed, “Like I said. There ain’t much I can do about it now.”
For a long moment, there was a stretch of silence. It wasn't uncomfortable, though. You and Will could happily coexist without words. But then, after finishing his drink, Will turned to face you properly, “I was wonderin’ if…” he almost looked embarrassed, “If you've still got that spare room in your apartment.”
You quirked an eyebrow at that, and the smallest of smirks tugged at the corner of your lips, “I might do.”
There was another pause. It was as if Will was waiting for you to finish his thought. When you didn't, he grumbled, but there was a hint of a smile on his face, “Don't make me sound desperate, sugar.
You laughed at that. You did want to tease him a little, if for no other reason than to make things feel a little more normal, but you couldn't take that look on his face, “Yeah, Will. You can stay with me.”
Will let out a small breath, seemingly out of relief, “Thanks,” he gave you a small smile, one that suited him much more than the sullen expression, “I owe you one.”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” you gently shoved his shoulder as you downed the rest of your drink, “You say that every time.”
After seven years, a part of you thought that you'd gotten over your unrequited crush on Will, even though there was a part of you that knew you probably never would. Now, though, having Will back with you felt like some kind of dream.
Selfishly, as you and Will left the bar and climbed into a cab, there was only one thought running through your mind: this was JJ's loss and your gain.

'tis the damn season
Summary: You bring a fake date to make your ex-girlfriend, Emily, jealous at your high school reunion. But you’re taken by surprise to learn that she did exactly the same thing.
Pairing: Emily Prentiss/Reader, JJ/Will LaMontagne
Word Count: 2669
Ao3
You stood in front of your bed, where half a dozen dresses lay, scrutinizing your options. You weren’t sure how long you stood like that, half-naked, hands on your hips, but a knock at the door pulled you out of your indecision.
You’d tried on each dress countless times, and none of them felt right. But they were the only options you had.
You wanted to look amazing—no, better than amazing, stunning—when you reunited with your ex-girlfriend, Emily, at your class reunion tonight. You started dating not long after Emily transferred to your high school during your junior year, and your relationship lasted almost all the way through college. When neither of you was sure what your future laid for you, it seemed easier to figure it out apart.
And you hadn’t spoken since.
You hadn’t wanted to come to your reunion at all, but your friend, Wren, was in charge of organizing it, and you asked her to let you know if Emily RSVP’d. Shortly after she did, you did the same.
You threw on the black, lacy dress—black was always safe, you figured—before grabbing your heels and rushing to let in your date for the evening.
You opened your door to find Will LaMontagne, his dark hair styled and light eyes sparkling. He was dressed in a bright blue button-down and slacks, a hesitant smile on his face.
“Come on in,” you said, stepping aside. “You look great.”
“So do you,” he drawled in his thick, New Orleans accent. “Your sister said this color blue would… bring out your eyes?”
The earnest confusion in his voice earned a genuine laugh from you. Will’s brother and your sister had gotten married last year, and ever since they got engaged, they kept pushing you and Will together, hoping that you’d fall in love.
While neither of you felt that way about each other, you had found a best friend in Will. A confidante.
So when you needed a fake date for your ten-year high school reunion, he offered freely.
“You really don’t have to do this, you know,” you said, for what was probably the hundredth time. “High school reunions are a drag under the best of circumstances.”
“You’re not getting rid of me that easy,” he joked. “Plus, I do get something out of it. We get to tell our siblings we gave it a real shot. Maybe after this, they’ll leave us alone.”
The other deception of the night, aside from Will pretending to be your boyfriend to make your ex jealous, was telling your siblings this was a date. At the end of the night, you’d tell them you were better off as friends and hope they finally left you both alone.
“I brought a tie,” Will said, taking a patterned blue tie out of his pocket. “Is this a tie event?”
You stuck your tongue out in a disgusted face, which earned a laugh from Will. “I didn’t think so, but I didn’t go to my high school reunion, so I wanted to be sure.”
“Don’t change a thing,” you said, reaching for your purse. You were equal parts itching to get out the door and hoping you didn’t arrive too early.
“Should we go?” Will asked, sensing your nerves.
You smiled gratefully. “Please.”
***
A silver lining to the evening was that the reunion wouldn’t take place at your actual high school. Instead, Wren and the rest of the planning committee rented out the ballroom at The Plaza downtown, a hotel you’d always been curious to see the inside of.
The lobby itself had your jaw on the floor. An ornate crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling. Below it, on the floor, was a sparkling fountain. Gold pillars plunged from the floor to the ceiling, and the perfectly placed white and gold couches and chairs felt too pretty to sit on. Against the far wall were the check-in desks, with perfectly maintained attendants standing behind them.
“This place is too fancy for me,” you murmured.
Will chuckled. “Fake it ‘til you make it.”
A sign posted near an adjoining hallway pointed toward a room you couldn’t see, with Roosevelt High School Reunion written across it.
“Must be this way,” Will said.
“Your detective skills tell you that?” You joked.
Ignoring the jab, Will led you down the hall and toward the ballroom, music already floating out to meet you. You smiled, recognizing it as one of Wren’s favorites, and wondered how much of her influence you’d hear in the music tonight.
You were pleasantly surprised to find the ballroom relatively crowded when you entered. Decorations with your school’s colors—royal blue and silver—draped from the ceiling, colored the tablecloths, and reflected in the centerpieces, but it wasn’t over-the-top. You had to admit it—you were impressed.
“You made it!” A familiar voice trilled.
You turned to find Wren, dressed in a vibrant pink dress, scampering toward you, arms out to embrace you. You opened your arms just in time to receive her and held her tight.
“Wren, this place looks incredible,” you gushed.
When she pulled away, she was blushing. “Well, thanks, doll. You guys look great.”
“Oh! Wren Taylor, Will LaMontagne Jr. Will LaMontagne Jr., Wren Taylor.”
“Date?” Wren whispered.
You laughed. “No, just a good friend. Unless you see Emily, then… date.”
Wren rolled her eyes. “You’re ridiculous.”
“When you told me she RSVP’d with a plus one, I couldn’t exactly show up here alone, could I?”
“Yes, you could, actually,” she said. Her eyes widened, focusing on something behind you. “Speaking of…”
You stiffened—sensing her presence before you saw her. Even after being separated for six years, you still recognized the buzzing in the air you felt when she was around.
You braced yourself as you turned toward the entrance to the ballroom, and her beauty took your breath away.
Emily’s dark hair was curled, and she’d grown her bangs out. She wore a white dress and black heels, and your heart skipped a beat.
She was stunning. And you were feeling very plain in comparison.
But then you spotted her hand in someone else’s and froze. Because next to her was a beautiful woman with blonde hair pulled back in a high, curled ponytail and a light blue skirt and white blouse.
They matched, you realized, the sensation a punch to your gut.
Seeing Emily with her partner reminded you of your mission, and you reached for Will’s hand instinctively, who was waiting to take yours.
“It’s now or never,” you muttered, sounding braver than you felt. Will’s advice from earlier rung in your head—fake it ‘til you make it.
You made your way toward the other couple, meeting them halfway, using each step to force a smile across your face before you reunited.
“Y/N!” Emily said, not letting go of her partner’s hand. “You look great.”
“So do you,” you said, hoping your voice wasn’t shaking. “This is Detective Will LaMontagne Jr., my date.”
He reached his free hand forward to shake both of the other women’s. “Pleasure,” he said.
“This is my date, Supervisory Special Agent Jennifer Jareau,” Emily countered. Were you imagining it, or was she putting emphasis on supervisory?
“JJ,” the woman said, offering her own hand. You shook it, fighting to not squeeze it too hard.
It didn’t escape you how Will’s gaze lingered on JJ a second longer than you expected.
“You know, that color brings out your eyes,” Will drawled, gesturing to her vibrant skirt.
You bit back a smile from spreading across your face and embarrassing him.
“Thanks,” JJ flushed.
“Special Agent?” You asked, calling Emily’s attention away from Will’s attempt at flirting before he blew your cover completely. “So, you chose the FBI after all?”
“Not at first,” Emily hedged. “It’s a long story.”
“Right,” you said. And not one you were entitled to anymore.
Wren, ever your savior, marched over to talk with Emily, and you used that moment to excuse yourself with Will.
He led you onto the dance floor as a slow song came on, and you were grateful for the distraction. You took one of his hands and placed the other on his shoulder, letting him lead you.
“Should we come up with a safe word in case you want to leave early?” Will asked.
You smiled. “That’s okay, but thanks, Will.”
One song bled into another until you lost track of how long you’d been dancing. You kept your focus on Will because you knew if you watched Emily and JJ for too long, your heart would shatter completely, washing away your carefully crafted facade.
“I’m gonna grab a drink,” you said, dryness scratching your throat. “Want anything?”
He shook his head. “I’m okay, thanks.”
You made your way toward the bar—an open bar, which was half of the reason you agreed to come at all—just as the last person in line got their drink and walked away.
“Old fashioned, please,” you said.
The bartender nodded, and you fished a few dollars out of your purse for the tip jar.
“Make that two,” said a familiar voice.
Your back stiffened, and you glanced over to find Emily standing next to you.
“Having a good time?” Emily asked, throwing in a few dollars of her own to the tip jar.
You pursed your lips and nodded. “Yeah, Wren did a great job.” You glanced around, surprised to find her partner nowhere in sight.
“No JJ?”
“She had to take a call,” Emily shrugged. “The job follows us sometimes.”
“Here you go,” the bartender said, holding out both drinks.
You thanked him and wandered away to make room for other patrons. To your surprise, Emily followed.
“Do you like it? The FBI?” You asked, curiosity getting the better of you.
“It’s rewarding,” Emily said. “Difficult, but rewarding.”
You nodded, unsure of what to say to that, and took a sip of your drink.
“How’s your photography business going?” Emily asked, and you startled, nearly choking on your cocktail.
“How’d you know I have a photography business?”
Emily flushed. “I’ve kept up with your career over the years. Is that such a surprise?”
Yes, you thought. You’d considered doing the same countless times over the years, but you knew if you tracked her down in any capacity, you wouldn’t be able to stop yourself from reaching out. It was easier, less painful, to wonder instead.
“I guess not,” you whispered.
“So? How’s it going?”
You sighed, setting your drink down on a nearby table. “What are you doing, Em?”
She frowned, eyebrows furrowing. “What do you mean?”
“Are we just acting like nothing happened? Like we didn’t have a fight the day before graduation? Like you didn’t ditch the ceremony the next day and never talk to me again? I just need to know what page we’re on here if we’re going to pretend.”
Emily set her drink down near yours. “Y/N…”
“I thought seeing you again would make me feel better,” you said. “But I’m not sure it was such a good idea anymore.”
Emily started to speak, but you turned on a heel and beelined for the hallway. Tears were brimming in your eyes, and you’d rather run than have her see you fall apart.
The hallway outside the ballroom was still too public, so you didn’t stop until you were safely around the corner. You took a deep breath, collecting yourself, and wiping away the hints of tears in your eyes before they could fall. You wouldn’t lose it. Not here, at least. That could wait until you got home later.
A hand on your shoulder nearly made you jump out of your skin.
“Jesus, Will, announce yourself…” you chastised. But when you turned, it wasn’t Will.
It was Emily.
“Are you everywhere?” you snapped. “Go back to your date; I’m sure she’s wondering where you went.”
“I could say the same about your date.”
You rolled your eyes. “Is that what this is about? Fine, Will’s not my date. He’s my friend; I brought him to make you jealous. Happy?”
“Actually, yes,” she said, stepping toward you.
You frowned. “Wait… what?”
Emily took a deep breath. “I was immature in high school. That doesn’t excuse what I did, but I think it explains a few things.”
“So?”
“So,” Emily continued, “Our futures were pulling us in two different directions. And I didn’t want to go in two different directions. Y/N, I would’ve followed you anywhere, my own ambitions be damned, and I knew if I showed up to graduation, I’d do just that. If I apologized for the fight we’d had, I would’ve wanted to spend the rest of our lives making it up to you. And one of us would’ve made sacrifices for the other, and we would’ve ended up hating each other in the end. So it was easier to just… run.”
You laughed bitterly. “That wasn’t your decision to make, Em. We should’ve talked about that together.”
“Can you tell me I’m wrong? That one of us wouldn’t have given up our dream career for the other?”
You opened your mouth to argue but clamped it closed when you realized you couldn’t. Because she was probably right.
“Exactly. So watching from afar as you accomplished everything you dreamed of… I considered that a consolation prize. If I looked at the pictures long enough, it was like I was there with you.”
You blew out a long breath. “Em, you can’t say stuff like that.”
“Why not?”
“Because you’re with JJ now, and it’s not fair to be with her and say these things to me.”
Emily took another step closer; she was only a breath away now. You took a step back, but you were against the wall now, and Emily closed the gap between you immediately.
“Then it’s a good thing I’m not with JJ,” she whispered, leaning down to kiss your neck.
Your knees wobbled, and it took every ounce of willpower not to reach out for the woman who still owned your heart.
“What?” Your head was spinning, and you weren’t sure you could trust your hearing.
“I lied,” she said, planting kisses from your neck up to your face. “To make you jealous. She’s just a friend.”
You grabbed Emily’s shoulders and turned so it was her against the wall. “You’re not in a relationship?”
Emily smiled. “Not since we broke up. You’re the only one I want. If you’ll have me.”
“Shut up and kiss me,” you grinned, crashing your lips against hers. Every nerve in your body felt like a live wire; Emily’s touch was electric.
She buried her hands in your hair, and you shivered. How were you ever apart from this woman? The thought seemed unbearable now.
“You know,” Emily said, pulling away just long enough to speak. “I have a room. Upstairs.”
“Oh, really?” you asked, kissing her again. “Don’t tempt me, Emily Prentiss.”
“We should tell our dates we’re leaving so they don’t worry,” Emily whispered. “And then I’m going to spend every minute of tonight making up for the last six years.”
“Fine, but let’s hurry,” you agreed.
Hand in hand, you practically ran back into the ballroom, praying that Will and JJ wouldn’t be hard to find.
Blissfully, you got your wish—you both staggered to a halt when you found your dates on the dance floor together, arms wrapped around each other, kissing like they were the only two people in the room.
“Huh,” you said. “I have to say, I didn’t see that coming.”
“She said I owed her for dragging her to a high school reunion that wasn’t her own,” Emily mused, lacing her hand through yours. “I think I’ll consider that debt repaid.”
You giggled. “Can we go now?”
“I’ll follow you anywhere you want.”
You brushed a stray hair behind her ear. “Let’s start with tonight. Everything else can wait ‘til tomorrow.”
Emily nodded. “Tomorrow.”

✮⋆˙ first time family
day 2 of my 12 days of christmas !!
jj and the boys x reader !!
1443 words
it’s your first christmas with jj and her boys after her divorce.
“Mummy wake up !!” Michael cheered, jumping onto your bed and shaking JJ awake. Well, trying to. JJ could sleep through a storm, particularly after a late night at work. You, however, were woken up by the slightest creak.
“Hey kid,” you laughed, rolling over.
“Mummy won’t wake up,” he groaned. You smiled and grabbed him gently. You pulled him into your arms, accepting the cuddles he didn’t fight for once.
“Mummy’s tired. Cuddle with me for a while, we can watch her sleep.”
“That’s weird,” he laughed but stayed lying there, in your arms. You had rare cuddles with Michael but even rarer cuddles with Henry. Michael was only seven and a lot more open to newer people but Henry was more closed off. He’d been processing his parents divorce as well as a new parent and school - it was a lot and you had to be patient. You loved the boys as if they were your own but to them, you were still new. With JJ’s work schedule and the boys being at school or their dads, you didn’t see them much but now you’d moved in and you saw them regularly. JJ had been leaving them with you on your own more too which you appreciated - you wanted to get to know them - but it was even more nerve-wracking.
Having come into a family dynamic which had already been established, and even recently cracked - was really difficult and you’d been dragging yourself to make sure you did what was best for the boys. Nights were spent crying to yourself about not being good enough. Yet JJ made it better. The way she looked at you with so much love, the way she’d curl into you and thank you every day for being the best you could be. For loving her.
Around twenty minutes later, you noticed Michael had fallen back asleep in your arms and you smiled, feeling accomplished. Just as you went to close your eyes, you saw JJ peak at you through hers. You smiled and hid your head in the back of Michael’s blonde hair.
“You got him back to sleep,” she whispered.
“I was just lying here holding him.”
“He likes it.You’re doing so amazing,” she leaned over and kissed your cheek before sneaking out of the bed, being careful not to disturb her sleeping son in your arms. You smiled at the simple praise, maybe you weren’t doing so bad.
“You don’t make eggs the same as dad,” Michael said as he dug into his breakfast. You paused as your heart sank. You weren’t sure what to reply.
“Is that a good thing?” JJ asked, resting a gentle hand on your back, offering her support.
“Not good, not bad,” Michael shrugged, taking a mouthful of eggs.
“They’re still good, just not the same,” Henry backed up his brother.
“Okay well that’s good,” you nodded, almost trying to convince yourself it was okay.
“We’re going christmas shopping today boys,” JJ said, taking her own seat at the table. You went and sat in your own.
“Who for?”
“For each other and other family. You can buy your dad gifts.”
“Do we have to buy gifts for Y/N?” Michael asked and you sniggered.
“No, I don’t expect any gifts. Save your money for your mum and dad.”
Henry nodded, agreeing.
The four of you entered the department store and JJ turned to you all.
“I’m going to find presents for the team, you’re welcome to come with me or y/n Michael. Henry you can go around the store alone but you can’t leave it!” JJ said, proud of her little action plan.
“I’m going to get presents for your mum,” you smiled and Henry looked up at you, you could see he wanted to join.
“I want something for Dad!” Michael announced, grabbing JJ’s hand.
“Cool, we’ll go this way. Meet back here in half an hour!”
You and Henry watched JJ and Michael walk away from you, hand in hand and you turned to her eldest.
“You coming with me to get her present?” He nodded and smiled a little so you headed off towards the jewelry section.
“What are you getting her?” He asked, keeping up beside you.
“She wanted this jewelry set, I just need to check they have it in stock.”
He nodded and then cleared his throat, “do you think you can help me pick something for her?”
You didn’t want to act all giddy and happy that he’d asked you for help so you remained calm, turning to him with a little nod.
“What are you thinking of getting her?”
“I’m not sure, that’s my problem. It’s her first christmas without dad buying her a massive, extravagant gift and I know she has you and things but as the man in her life now, I want to treat her like the Queen she is-” Henry explained and you smiled wide.
“She deserves that, hundred percent,” you agreed. “And coming from you is even better.”
“I just don’t know what will do it.” You got to the store and he looked longingly in the window.
“I know you want her to have this big, extravagant present like Will used to get her but she doesn’t expect that. She just wants you to be happy, Henry. It’s been a tough year.”
“I know, I am happy. She’s happy and you’re really good for her - I just want to show her that I love her too.”
“She knows you love her.”
“I want to get her something anyway.”
“I get that. Come on, let’s go look inside.”
The jewelry shop was bright and the gleaming pieces reflected off the pristine glass around the store.
“There’s so much to chose from,” he said.
“Well you can cut it in half by choosing gold or silver and your mum’s silver girl.”
“How do you know that?”
“She just is, trust me.”
“Okay so I want silver.” You saw the set she’d had her heart set on as he said it and you melted. You could picture in it now, with the bracelet and the necklace and the earrings. You knew she’d look breathtaking. Even more breathtaking than she already is.
“Oh wow-” Henry said, coming to your side. “You’re getting her that? It’s perfect.” You thought for a moment as you processed his question. The way his body turned to it and his eyes lit up. His hand instinctively went to his wallet and you smiled, stepping closer to him. You put a hand on his shoulder and leaned in.
“You should get it for her.”
“What?” He looked at you, a happy gleam in his eye.
“Yeah. You said yourself it’s perfect. She’s been wanting it. She’ll love it even more from you.”
“Are you sure? What are you going to get her?”
“Oh I can worry about that. You get it her. Can you afford it or do you need me to put towards?”
“I can afford it,” he smiled. You nodded and watched as he called someone over to enquire.
Walking out the shop, you were chuffed. Henry walked prouder next to you, having found her the perfect present and you were so happy with yourself because you had helped him.
“Hey y/n,” he said as you waited by the entrance for JJ and Michael. “Thank you for helping me.”
You looked at him and he had genuine love in his eyes.
“You’re welcome, Henry. I can always help you with anything. Just ask.”
Michael ran up to you both and JJ’s hand slid in yours.
“Hey love,” you smiled turning to her. She leaned in for a small kiss and the boys groaned making you laugh and kiss JJ more. You felt at peace with them, finally at peace.
Christmas day came around quicker than any of you expected. The boys sat on the floor and you and JJ sat on the sofa’s.
“Mum this is for you,” Henry said, handing her a neatly wrapped box.
“For me? Henry you didn’t have to.”
“I did. Open it.” He moved to sit beside her on the sofa and you smiled at him, encouragingly. JJ took the paper off and gasped at the brand before opening the box. Her face lit up as she noticed the set she’d wanted for so long.
“Henry.” She said, her eyes filling with tears, “This is too much.”
“I can’t take it back,” he said and smiled shyly.
“Thank you my boy. I love you,” she said and opened her arms for a hug. Henry hugged her back and you watched on, proud.
“I love you mum.”

It all started with a super rare day off with my Mom. It was just going to be me, her, and my little half-brother Henry. We were both so excited to be able to spend a Saturday with our Mom since her job takes her away a lot. We were all playing when Mom got a call.
“Y/N can you watch your brother for a second?” She asked and I nodded. She gave me a smile and walked to the side yard. I distracted Henry while Mom took her call, which she didn’t look exactly happy about. She came back into the room and sighed.
“I need to go, we’ve got a case…” She said and Henry frowned.
“I’m going to call the babysitter, can you watch your brother until she comes?” She asked and I shrugged.
“I can watch him, Mom.” I said and she bit her lip.
“I don’t know when it’s going to be done.” She said and I nodded.
“So when Dad get’s back-”
“Dad is part of the case.” She said while Henry was distracted. My eyes widened and she motioned me to follow her.
“Henry, come inside and grab some juice.” Mom said. We followed her inside and Herny ran to get his juice. Mom pulled me over to sit at the table while Henry was watching cartoons.
“Is Dad okay?” I asked, worried.
“Dad is fine, his partner was shot.” She answered and I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding.
“I really don’t know how long this will be, Y/N.” She said and I nodded.
“I get it Mom, I can take care of Henry.” I said and she sighed.
“Call me if you need a babysitter to help you.” She said and I smiled.
“I promise, now go, Dad needs your help.” I said. I got up and went to go watch cartoons with Henry.
It’s been hours since Mom and Dad left for work. Henry was upset for a little while about Mom having to leave, but I distracted him enough to forget about it. Mom told me I wasn’t allowed to look at the news at all, which I understood. She hated when I knew about local cases. I was too distracted by Henry to even think about looking at the news. However the thought of my Mom and Dad were constantly in the back of my head. I had Henry watching cartoons while I was making dinner for us. I pulled out my phone bit my lip. I haven’t heard anything from Mom or Dad since Mom left.
“Don’t check the news under any circumstances.” Mom’s voice floated through my head.
“I know Mom… but you and Dad haven’t answered any one my texts…” I whispered to myself. I took a deep breath and pulled up the news on my phone. My eyes widened and I dropped my phone on the counter.
“Y/N/N? You alright?” Henry called.
“I’m fine Henry! Just had something slippery on my hands and dropped my phone!” I called back.
“Okay!” He called back and I hoped went back to watching cartoons. I quickly picked up my phone and called Mom.
“Please pick up, please pick up…” I mumbled to myself.
“Y/N? Are you alright? Do you need a babysitter?” Mom answered.
“I’m fine, Mom, we’re fine. Are you? Is Dad?” I asked quietly so Henry wouldn’t hear.
“You looked at the news!?” She hissed at me.
“I’m sorry! You and Dad weren’t answering my texts and I was worried…” I answered.
“We’re fine, Y/N, I need you to stop looking at the news please.” She begged, she sounded off.
“Okay, I promise, can you just please answer my texts? I’m really worried, Mom.” I whispered and she sighed.
“I’m sorry for worrying you sweetie, I’m fine everything’s gonna be okay. Just focus on Henry and I promise I’ll text you in an hour.” She said. She said everything is going to be fine… I grew up with just my Mom at first and I picked up some profiling along the way. My Mom was lying to me.
“Mom?” I asked.
“Y/N, I really need to go. Just let me know if you need a babysitter.” She said and hung up. I sighed and put my phone to the side.
“Something’s wrong…” I mumbled to myself.
“Hey Y/N! Look who’s home!” I heard Henry call and I turned to see Dad with a woman I’ve never seen before.
“Dad!” I said and rushed over to him. I went to hug him then noticed he looked a little worse for wear.
“Dad? Are you alright?” I asked.
“I’m fine Sweet heart, Mom thought you could use a little help and sent me over with my partner-”
“I’m Izzy.” The woman cut him off and offered me her hand. Alarm bells were ringing in my head. Mom said his partner was shot.
“Uh, hi.” I said, shaking her hand. I glanced at my Dad and he just smiled at me. I heard a sizzling behind me quickly turned around.
“Oh shoot!” I said and rushed to take the pot off the stove. I heard the two adult talking in a low voice that I just couldn’t hear. When I turned back around Dad was kneeling down to look at Henry.
“Daddy let’s play!” Henry said.
“Daddy can’t play right now, I gotta go to work. But this is um-”
“Izzy.” The woman said again.
“Izzy.” Dad whispered.
“Can you say hi to Izzy?” Dad asked.
“Hi Izzy.” Henry whispered, he was nervous about this woman too.
“She’s gonna stay with you and Y/N until Mama comes home, okay?” Dad said.
“Okay.” Henry said, sounding sad.
“Hey.” Dad said, gaining his attention.
“I love you.” Dad said to him.
“I love you.” Henry said back. Dad hugged him.
“You’re gonna be okay.” Dad said which made my anxiety skyrocket. Dad sent Henry into the living room to play and I walked up to him.
“Dad?” I asked with a nervous tone.
“Come here Y/N/N.” He said and motioned me to come hug him. I stepped into his arms and wrapped mine around him.
“Everything is gonna be okay.” He whispered and I looked up at him. He was lying just like Mom was… He moved next to my ear and whispered so only I could hear.
“Keep your brother away from her.” He whispered. I looked into his eyes and nodded. I’d protect my brother with my life and I think my Dad knows that too. He kissed my head and gently pushed me to follow Henry. I watched him walk out the house.
“Hey Henry, you wanna help me finish cooking?” I asked and he smiled at me.
“Yeah!” He said and I quickly picked him up. I walked him into the kitchen and watch the woman look around our house. I was so anxious about her presence here, but I just had to focus on protecting my brother.
As I was cooking Henry started getting antsy and wanted to go color. I sighed and put him down. I led him over to the table where he got in the chair all by himself, and grabbed some paper and crayons. He quietly started coloring and I went back to the kitchen to hurry up and finish cooking.
As I was just about to finish I heard Henry talking to the woman. I cursed myself and quickly finished the cooking. Once everything was done I left it on the stove to keep warm and walked out to find Henry on the woman’s lap. My eyes widened as I watched her touching his hair.
“Let me tell you a story.” She said and I gulped.
“Hey, Henry, foods ready. You hungry?” I asked as I walked over to him.
“I wanna hear the story, Y/N/N.” He said. Izzy smirked at me and held Henry a bit closer to her.
“Sit down, listen to the story, Y/N/N.” She smeared at me. I gave her a tight lipped smile and sat in the seat Henry was sitting in. I heard my phone ringing in the other room, but I knew if I moved she’d hurt my brother. She just smirked at me.
“I really think we should eat Henry.” I said and he started to reach for me.
“Y/N/N!” He said and I quickly pulled him out of her lap. I went into the kitchen and the woman followed. She grabbed my phone from the counter and smirked at me. We heard the gate opened and the woman went to go check the window.
“Henry, go hide.” I whispered and he rushed off. I moved to run for it but I heard a gun cock.
“Where do you think you’re going?” She asked and I slowly turned around.
“Come out Henry!” She called out.
“Don’t listen to her Henry!” I shouted.
“You little bitch!” She growled at me and I tried to run. She shot at me and I screamed in pain.
“Drop it!” I heard my Mom growl. I couldn’t focus on what they were doing, but I knew Mom was fighting with the girl.
“Mommy!” I heard Henry shout.
“Henry!” Mom shouted. There was more fighting and then I heard a thud. I kept pressure on my lower left back and stayed laying on the floor. I heard footsteps coming closer to me and someone knelt down.
“You alright, kid?” I recognized the voice of David.
“It hurts a lot.” I groaned.
“Let me see.” He said as he gently moved my hand. He looked at the bleeding wound and sighed.
“The bullet is still inside, but your Mom and I are gonna get you help.” He said and I nodded.
“I know…” I said.
“Y/N/N?” I heard Henry asked in a scared voice.
“I’ll be fine, Henry.” I said and smiled back at him in my Mom’s arms. David pushed his arms under me and lifted me up. I groaned as he lifted and flipped me over so I was facing him. I felt his hand put pressure on my wound and I groaned again.
“I know, Y/N, just hang in there.” He said. They rushed me to the car and Mom got in the back with me and she locked Henry in so he couldn’t really see me. Mom gripped my hand and she had tears in her eyes.
“I’ll be fine, Mom.” I said and she nodded.
“I know sweetie, you’re so strong.” She said and I smiled.
Once we got me to the hospital the staff rushed me inside. They got me into surgery quickly. I obviously didn’t remember any of it but when I woke up my Mom, Dad, and Henry were all standing around my bed. Dad was in a hospital gown too.
“Mom? Dad?” I groaned as I tried to sit up.
“Hey, lay back down, you need to relax.” Mom said as she pushed me back down.
“I’m alright, Mom.” I said as I hugged her tightly. She hugged me tighter and I felt myself struggling to breath a bit.
“Alright Hon, let our daughter breath.” Dad said with a laugh. Mom wiped her eyes as she pulled back from me.
“Are you alright, Dad?” I asked and he nodded with a smile.
“I’m fine sweet heart, we gotta worry about you.” He said and I shook my head.
“I’m fine.” I insisted.
“Y/N, you took a bullet to the back.” He said with a frown.
“You told me to protect Henry.” I said with a small shrug.
“I didn’t mean risk your life.” He said and I smiled.
“I’d do anything to protect my brother.” I said and my parents smiled.
“Well, we’re really glad you treat him as if he’s your full brother…” Mom started and I looked at them confused.
“Why wouldn’t I?” I asked. Dad wrapped his arm around Mom’s shoulder and pulled her closer.
“Y/N, your Mama and I are gonna get married.” Dad said and I quickly sat up, ignoring the pain.
“Really!?” I asked with a huge smile.
“Y/N! You need to lay down, you’ll rip your stitches!” Mom said, trying to push me back down. I grabbed her hands and looked into her eyes.
“You finally said yes? Will’s really gonna be my Dad now?” I asked with tears in my eyes.
“Yes sweetie, Will is going to be your Dad for real, now lay down.” She said and I happily obliged.
“When’s the wedding?” I asked, feeling giddy now.
“Your Mother wants to do it Monday.” Dad answered.
“Am I gonna be able to come?” I asked with a frown.
“We’ll talk to the doctor and I’ll let him know we’ll have a doctor on property.” Mom said with a wink. I giggled and shook my head.
“I’m so excited! Can I wear my light pink dress?” I asked and they just laughed.
“Yes you can wear your pink dress.” Mom said.
The next day Dad came to pick me up at the hospital, since Mom convinced them that I’d be fine at home. He came into my room holding a bad and my light pink dress. I looked at him confused and he just smiled at me.
“I thought you’re getting married on Monday?” I asked and he nodded as he set the things now.
“We were, but David overheard and we’re gonna get married in his yard. Mom thinks it’s just a party.” He said and I squealed in excitement.
“Help me get ready?” I asked and he nodded. Dad helped me get dressed and told me I needed to take it easy tonight. The doctor gave us some crutches as a just in case, but I didn’t really think I needed to use them. Dad insisted on bringing them anyway.
“Come on, we’re meeting your mom and Henry there.” Dad said and I nodded. He helped me in the car and we were off.
When we pulled up to David’s house I was so excited! I couldn’t believe my Mom was getting married to someone who actually liked and cared about me too. It’s all the two of us ever wanted. I got out and rushed over to my mom. I hugged her tightly and she laughed.
“Well you’re feeling better.” She said and I smiled up at her.
“I am! Look what Dad brought me to wear.” I said and did a spin.
“I thought you wanted to wear that tomorrow.” She frowned and I nodded.
“I still can, but this way the whole team can see how pretty I am.” I joked and she shook her head with a laugh.
“Y/N, the doctor said to take it easy.” Dad said coming up to us.
“I am.” I said and he shook his head.
“Running to your Mama is not taking it easy. Don’t make me make you use the crutches.” He said and I groaned.
“Okay, I’ll be good, promise!” I said and both my parents laughed.
“Come on, let’s go inside.” Mom said and we all held hands. We walked inside and into the backyard.
“Hey.” Mom said when she saw David.
“Someone knows how to throw a party. You don’t mess around.” Mom said as she gave him a hug.
“What can I tell ya? I’m the host with the most.” He said as he hugged her back.
“No kidding.” Mom laughed as she pulled back.
“Hey, look who’s here.” David said and Grandma walked up next to him.
“Mom?” Mom asked and Grandma just smiled.
“Okay, what’s-what’s going on?” Mom asked Dad.
“Well we couldn’t get married without your Mama.” He answered.
“I might’ve overheard a proposal yesterday?” David said.
“And I couldn’t wait till Monday.” Dad said.
“Okay so this is why you guys are so dressed up, huh?” Mom asked as she looked at me and Henry.
“Yes and you will be too. I brought something borrowed.” Grandma said, holding up a wedding dress.
“Mom, is that your dress?” Mom asked.
“It is, let’s go see if it still fits.” Grandma said.
“Can I help?” I asked and Grandma smiled at me.
“Of course!” She said and gently pulled me along.
Grandma and I helped Mom get into the dress and I was so excited. She looked absolutely beautiful. I’ve always wanted this for my Mom and I literally couldn’t be happier for her.
“Mom you look so pretty.” I said and she smiled with happy tears in her eyes.
“Thank you Sweetie.” She said and kissed my head. Once everything was ready Mom, Grandma, and Myself were walking downstairs and out the back door. Dad stood there with Henry at the alter with a man there to marry them. Grandma let go of Mom when we reached the front and I went to as well, but Mom stopped me. She pulled me up with her and I stood right by her as she married my now official Dad. I cried when they kissed and hugged them both tightly. I finally had a full family.
We all sat down to eat and everyone was talking among themselves. I sat next to Henry and Jack, who I was so excited to see. The three of us were all talking and slightly playing pretend. I was about nine years older than Jack and eleven years older than my brother, but I loved spending time with them. Dad clinked his glass to gain everyone’s attention and stood up. Everyone looked over to him and he smiled.
“I’d like to thank everyone for being with us tonight and sharing in our special day.” He started and smiled down at Mom, who was holding his other hand.
“But I still have one more surprise for my two very special girls.” He said. Mom and I both looked at him confused and he motioned for me to come over to him. I stood up and walked next to him.
“Y/N, I know you care for your Mama a lot and I’m so glad you gave us your blessin’ before we even had to ask.” He said and everyone chuckled.
“But I’d like to make everything more official and ask you and your Mama if it’d be alright if I officially became your Daddy and adopted you.” He said and I gasped with tears in my eyes.
“R-Really?” I asked and looked between them.
“Yes really. You’re Mama and I have been talkin’ about it for some time now and I said if we ever got married I’d like to adopt you as my own.” He said and I hugged him tightly.
“Yes! Yes! A million times yes!” I cried, not able to hold in my tears. Dad wrapped his arms around me and gently squeezed me.
“We already started the paperwork incase this day ever came, so we just gotta get a court date and make it offical.” Mom said, standing up. I turned around and hugged her tightly, not realizing I was crying into her dress.
“Thank you, Mom!” I cried and she gently rubbed my back. Dad wrapped us both in a hug and kissed my head.
“Why is Y/N/N crying?” Henry asked and Dad went and picked him up.
“They’re happy tears, buddy.” He said and I pulled back to smile at him and wipe my eyes.
“Very happy tears.” I said and everyone chuckled. This was not only my Mom’s perfect day, it was mine too.

Wedding Woes
Five Hargreeves x Fem!reader
Warnings: none
Planning a wedding should be a joyous occasion, but for Five Hargreeves and his fiancée Y/N, it quickly turned into a battlefield of hilarious disagreements. From the moment they decided to tie the knot, every decision seemed to spark a new debate.
“Chocolate!” Five declared, arms crossed, as they sat in the office of Sweet Sensations, the premier bakery in town.
“Red velvet!” Y/N countered, her eyes sparkling with determination.
The baker, caught between the two, held up a tentative hand. “We could do a combination cake?”
Five and Y/N turned to her, then back to each other, shaking their heads simultaneously. “Nope.”
“What’s wrong with red velvet?” Y/N argued, her brow furrowing. “It’s elegant and delicious.”
Five scoffed. “Chocolate is a classic. And I don’t trust a cake that’s named after a fabric.”
“Fine,” Y/N said, rolling her eyes. “What about the design?”
“Simple and clean,” Five said, envisioning a minimalistic cake.
Y/N, however, had other ideas. “I was thinking something with a little more... flair. Maybe some flowers, intricate designs—”
Before Five could retort, Klaus burst into the bakery, trailed by Diego and Luther. “Hey, lovebirds! How’s the cake tasting going?”
Five sighed. “We’re just... debating the finer points.”
Klaus waggled his eyebrows. “Why not go with a giant rainbow cake? It’s festive!”
Diego chuckled. “I vote for something with bacon on it.”
Luther just looked confused. “Do people put bacon on cakes?”
The baker looked like she might faint.
In the end, they settled on a layered cake with alternating tiers of chocolate and red velvet, topped with simple but elegant decorations. It wasn’t exactly what either had envisioned, but it was a compromise—a word that Five was rapidly learning to accept.
Next on the list was the music. Five preferred a live jazz band, while Y/N was leaning toward a playlist of their favorite songs.
“Jazz sets the mood,” Five insisted, adjusting his tie as they met with a potential band leader in their living room.
“Yeah, the mood for a 1920s speakeasy,” Y/N shot back. “We need something more modern, something we can really dance to.”
The band leader, an older gentleman with a pencil-thin mustache, interjected. “We can do a mix, if you’d like?”
Before either could respond, Viktor wandered in, carrying his violin. “Need a musician? I can play Anything you want.”
Five perked up. “Can you do jazz?”
Viktor nodded. “Of course. But I also know some contemporary pieces.”
Y/N’s eyes lit up. “What about ‘You Are the Best Thing’ by Ray LaMontagne?”
Viktor smiled. “I can do that.”
Five threw up his hands. “Fine, let’s have Viktor play. Just... not too much Ray LaMontagne.”
Klaus sauntered in, a mischievous grin on his face. “I could DJ! Imagine the fun we’d have with a mix of 80s pop and punk rock!”
Five stared at him. “Absolutely not.”
When it came to decorations, Five wanted sleek and modern, while Y/N envisioned a romantic, rustic theme.
“We need string lights and mason jars,” Y/N said, flipping through a wedding magazine.
Five groaned. “We’re not having a Pinterest wedding. How about something more sophisticated? Like geometric centerpieces.”
“Geometric?” Y/N laughed. “What are we, hosting a math conference?”
Lila, who had shown up uninvited but was enjoying the chaos, added her two cents. “I think you should go with a theme park idea. Imagine—carnival games, cotton candy, maybe even a Ferris wheel!”
Y/N laughed. “Actually, that sounds kind of fun.”
Five buried his face in his hands. “We’re not turning our wedding into a circus.”
In the end, they settled on a rustic-chic blend with some modern touches—fairy lights and mason jars for Y/N, and sleek tableware and geometric designs for Five. It was a mix that surprisingly worked, combining the best of both their visions.
Even the wedding invitations were a source of contention. Five wanted them to be minimalist and elegant, while Y/N wanted something more whimsical and colorful.
“This font is too boring,” Y/N complained, staring at the sample invite. “It doesn’t scream ‘fun.’”
Five rubbed his temples. “We’re not throwing a rave, Y/N. We’re getting married. It should be timeless.”
Klaus, had another idea. “Why not go with a pop-up invitation? Like those 3D books! People would love that.”
Five shot him a look. “We’re not making pop-up books, Klaus.”
Despite the disagreements, the wedding day arrived, and everything was miraculously coming together. Five and Y/N stood at the altar, their family and friends gathered around them. The setting was a perfect blend of their styles—rustic yet sophisticated, whimsical yet elegant.
As they exchanged vows, Five couldn’t help but smile at Y/N. Despite their differences, their love for each other had only grown stronger through the process. It was clear that, no matter the debates, they were perfect for each other.
When they shared their first kiss as husband and wife, the crowd erupted into applause, and Klaus, predictably, started a slow clap that turned into an impromptu chant of “Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!”
Five’s siblings had their mishaps—Klaus accidentally spilled champagne on Viktor’s suit, Lila got into a friendly wrestling match with Allison over the bouquet, and Luther accidentally triggered a sound system malfunction that blasted “Never Gonna Give You Up” at full volume during the toasts.
At the end of the night, as they danced under the twinkling lights, Five pulled Y/N close and whispered, “You know, despite all the chaos, I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Y/N smiled up at him, her eyes sparkling. “Not even the part where we almost had a bacon cake?”
Five chuckled. “Not even that. Well... maybe a little.”
Y/N laughed, leaning in to kiss him. “I love you, Five Hargreeves. Even if you have terrible taste in cakes.”
Five grinned, wrapping his arms around her. “And I love you, Y/N Hargreeves. Even if you have questionable taste in everything else.”
As they swayed to the music, surrounded by their chaotic but loving family, Five realized that the debates, the compromises, and the occasional disaster were all part of what made their love story uniquely theirs.
And for Five and Y/N, that was all they ever wanted.

AAAA i love your blog!! could i pls request a post-canon scenario where chilchuck finally admits his feelings for reader now that they’re not co-workers anymore >_< (assuming reader joined the laios party during the story)
`✦ ˑ ִֶ 𓂃⊹ WAAAAH ANON i’m so happy you love my stuff!! i LOVEDDD writing this for you, and i have another request in my askbox that’s similar that i’m going to do as well! this was super fun, and i found myself enjoying this idea and coming up with things i could do with it!!! i hope you enjoy!!! <333
— SHELTER: chilchuck x gn!reader.
꒰ warnings: ꒱ none, sfw fluff!! takes place post-canon.
꒰ wc: ꒱ 1745 (got carried away again…)
✦ i’m scared to reread this, but right now I’m actually happy with it!! i hope you are too!! <333 i tried my best to keep spoilers to a minimum, and to make this fun to read!! also, the title comes from the song shelter by ray lamontagne, which i listened to while writing it. i hope you enjoy!!!
With your party’s adventure finally over, you had decided to try and finally settle down as much as you could. With everyone finding their own new place in life, you did your best to find one too.
You couldn’t deny it had been rather lonely lately. Your own home was empty, a small place you had tried your best to make feel cozy. With your old party members living their own lives, you hoped you could live yours. But evidently, no matter how hard you tried, your mind always went back to him.
It was a bittersweet feeling; imagining him finally living healthily, working on helping others, and even maybe starting up that shop he talked about wanting. It wasn’t like you never saw him, but going on with every day life without him felt… mundane.
Chilchuck was working on himself, reconnecting with his family, and building the future he had hoped for. That alone helped you feel as much at peace as possible. Your feelings, to you, were not nearly as important as his own happiness. So here you waited, counting down the days you’d get to see him again. Maybe he’d be happy to see you too.
Little did you know, Chilchuck was devastatingly nervous. Buttoning up his shirt with shaky fingers, he tried his best to look as decent as he possibly could. It was the final thing he felt he needed to move on, and he wasn’t going to let himself ruin it. Not this, he told himself. There were some things he refused to let slip through his fingers, and one of them were his feelings he had developed for you.
Through it all, you had been by his side. An integral part of the party, you had built him up when he needed it most. Looking past all the mistakes, all the cynicism he liked to cloud himself with, you proved how much you simply cared. Not only for him, but for everyone. Chilchuck had fallen in love with you, and for once, he didn’t want to push those feelings down.
He had bought the flowers he knew you liked, tied with a sweet ribbon that he felt maybe was a bit too much. In fact, maybe all of this was a bit too much, but he hoped it’d work. Chilchuck even went to talk to Marcille about it all, a sign in his own mind that he was more smitten than he had been in years. Not to mention that he had, in fact, reconnected with his ex-wife, and had gained the closure he needed to take this big of a step. There was nothing holding him back now, and he could only hope the words of encouragement he was given would hold true.
Chilchuck had visited your home before, always noting just how comfortable he felt there. You were always happy to have guests lately, and he felt himself praying that this would be the case this time, too. Fist raised in front of your door, he took a deep breath before rapping it against the wood.
The knock came as a surprise, but not as surprising as the person who was behind it. Your eyes widened, his name leaving your lips in delight. “Chilchuck, hello!” It was slightly out of breath from the sheer excitement you had to try and suppress at seeing him here in front of you. Moving to the side, you motioned him in. “Do you… Want to come in?”
One hand behind his back still, trying his best to not snap the stems of the delicate flowers between his fingers, he nodded. “Yeah, sorry for the sudden visit.”
Shaking your head, you walked inside to prepare him something to drink. “Not at all! You know me… I could never say no to seeing you.”
It felt like another of Cupid’s arrows shot him through the chest. Maybe he shouldn’t look too deeply into your words, at least not yet. Following you inside, Chilchuck found himself trying his best to find anything to look at of interest. The plants on your shelves, the well loved books on the table, the occasional trinket you had decided you couldn’t live without… Everything that made it feel so much like you.
While you fiddled around in your small kitchen, Chilchuck cleared his throat. His mouth felt dry, and to try and slow down the thoughts rushing through his head, he spoke up again. “You know… You’ve done a great job with this place. I remember when you bought it.”
You couldn’t help but smile, thinking back fondly of how proud you were. Preparing you both glasses of wine, you turned your attention to him for a moment. “That means a lot, thank you. How have things been with the guild?”
Chilchuck hummed, eyes studying a particular painting on your wall. “Good… Pretty much the usual. Things are going pretty well. What about you, anything interesting since we last saw each other?”
Other than your constant war on your feelings for the half-foot, you’ve been trying new hobbies in order to distract yourself. As you turned to hand him the glass, you racked your brain for something to say. Giving him a sheepish smile, you shook your head. “Not particularly. Here, it’s one you like. Let’s go sit, yeah?”
He held your gaze for a moment, the flowers in his hand a constant reminder of what he was here for. Swallowing hard, he opened his mouth to speak. “Yeah. But first, I have something to give you…”
Finally taking the hand from behind his back, he steeled himself as much as he could before holding them out to you. Quickly setting the glasses down, you let out a sound of surprise. Your hands reached out for them, as delicate as possible.
Chilchuck felt like his face was a bit too hot for something as simple as this, but it’s been such a long time since he’s had to really woo anyone. How the hell did he manage to do this all those years ago? Scratching the back of his head, he broke the silence between the two of you.
“They’re your favorites, right? I happened to see ‘em and thought you’d be happy.”
Although Chilchuck felt like he was doing a piss poor job at this, you felt like you were swooning all over again. You know how much he used actions as a love language, yet could you even call it that in this situation? Friends did nice things for each other, yet…
His brows were furrowed in determination, the tips of his ears rosy and suddenly you felt like maybe there was something there. Your gaze fell to the buds in your hands, freshly picked and done so with care. The smile that made its way on your features was unabashed.
“Yes, yes they’re my favorites… I can’t believe you remembered that. Let me go get something to put them in. Thank you so much, Chil.”
It was worth it just to see you smile like that. Even if he felt a little ridiculous at the action, it paid off when you held the vase proudly in your hands. “I’m going to put them on my desk. I love them…” You spoke softly, your own cheeks turning that shade of pink he loved so much. For a few moments, it became silent again, his brain scrambling for what to say next.
“You asked me about my plans after our adventure was over. There… was something I wasn’t honest about. And I want to be honest about it now.”
Chilchuck made sure to correctly word everything he needed to say. Taking time in between his sentences, his gaze returned to yours. There was something there that you had only hoped you’d seen in the past; a taste of desire.
“I want to be there for you. I know we’re no longer coworkers, so…” The words fell silent, you remaining patient through his pauses. Softly, you gave a gentle phrase of reassurance. “You’re already there for me, I know that, Chil—”
Raising a hand, he silenced you. Contemplation took over his features, that worry line between his brows that you always found endearing still making an appearance. You waited for him to elaborate.
“…As more than friends.”
Your heart stopped. Did you hear him correctly? Certainly you did, your voice having gotten stuck in your throat as you tried to wrap your head around the weight those words carried. Was he saying that, this whole time, you’ve been a goal all along? Hearing your name, you snapped your attention back to him.
“I want to be more honest with how I feel. I know how I used to be, and I’m working towards fixing it.” His deep brown eyes held a small glimmer of hope, of vulnerability. Chilchuck was trying, and he was trying for you.
Feeling as if the wind was knocked out of your lungs, you asked shakily, “You want…?”
He smiled, a small etch in his features. Huffing, Chilchuck fiddled with the collar of his shirt. “You’re really gonna make me spell it out for you? I… Have feelings for you. If you don’t feel the same I get it, don’t—“
Before he could finish his sentence, you hurriedly set the flowers down before just about tackling him. The shock of hearing him say exactly what you’d been wishing for so long melted into a need to relay exactly how you felt. Chilchuck grunted at the impact, nearly toppling over.
“Of course I feel the same! You think I’d put up with your grumpy ass for this long if I didn’t?” You couldn’t help the teasing words that followed, pulling away from him to grin widely at him. “Can I kiss you?”
Your excitement caught him even more off guard, eyes widening at your question. “Sorry, that was probably a bit too much—“
Instead of giving you a verbal answer, Chilchuck tugged you to his lips in a desperate attempt to get you to just shut up and do it. You happily obliged, only pulling away to ask one more question. “How long?”
Chilchuck panted, confusion evident on his features. “What?”
“How long have you felt this way?” Your curiosity was getting the better of you, wondering just how long you two had managed to dance around each other like this. Chilchuck sighed, giving the only answer he could think to say:
“Too long.”

my dream criminal minds finale is something a bit like er’s where the second generation takes over the bau. jack hotchner, whose biggest wish was to help dad solve cases and just be like him because he was his real life superhero (yes, even after all that profiling and catching bad guys entailed for them), and henry lamontagne, jj’s little boy that dressed up as his favorite profiler and godfather, reid, for halloween. just imagine, the scene is emily or maybe jj being the last one to retire and welcoming the new acquisitions to the bau, we see the elevator open and it’s jack and henry about to enter the bullpen to begin their training as profilers 😭

I was Born to Love You (J. Seresin)
Pairing: Jake Seresin x Reader
Summary: You're the one Jake was born to love, and he creates gentle moments to remind you. Based on Ray LaMontagne's "I was Born to Love You."
Warnings: None, honestly just toe curling fluff.
Word Count: 2k
A/n: MY WORK IS ORIGINAL AND IS NOT TO BE COPIED OR REPOSTED. Be kind and don't steal other people's writing, thank you.
Gif creds: @unicornships
You’re in the kitchen of your and Jake’s shared home, knee deep in making dinner while Jake clinks around in the living room, having said something about music making the already soft atmosphere better. You smile to yourself as he clicks through several songs, imagining his tongue slightly jutted out of his mouth in concentration as he searches for the perfect melody to set the tone.
“There it is,” you hear him mutter after a lull of silence. Being focused on the task at hand, you miss the sound of Jake’s feet padding closer to you.
"Our song?" You point out, a fond smile tickling the corner of your lips as you glance at Jake over your shoulder. Butterflies dance in your stomach at the effortless elegance surrounding him. He's wearing a content grin, a hum of affirmation rumbles from his chest as he melodically approaches you with an outstretched hand.
"Dance with me," though it's a request, it comes out as more of a statement and you know 'no' won't be an acceptable answer.
"I'm making dinner," you remind him, a slight whine lacing your voice. You love treating him to home cooked meals when you have a night in, and he loves it when you do so, but sometimes, he just wants to dance with his favorite girl on his arm.
"Dance with me, Darlin'," he murmurs in your ear, catching you in his arms with his chest flush against his back. His lips graze your ear as he speaks and he promptly presses a chaste kiss on the skin just behind it, knowing you're always putty in his hands when he does that. "Dinner can wait." You sigh, melting into his chest, letting him know that he's won. His gently spins you around in his arms, wordlessly guiding you to the middle of the dimly lit living room. Unbeknownst to you, he lit several candles and turned down the lights while you were distracted in the kitchen. The simplistic romantic setting has you swooning further as Jake guides your hands to rest around his neck, promptly sliding his to rest just above your spine while he smiles down at you, humming with the beginning lyrics of Ray LaMontagne's, "I was Born to Love you" playing through your vintage record player.
You give me a sign, you give me a lift Take me home when I've done my shift. You give me a loan when I'm stone cold broke Get me high, when I need a toke.
"You're quite the charmer, Lieutenant," you smile, tracing circles across the exposed skin on the nape of his neck as you sway to the music, following his lead. A blush tints his cheeks, partnered with the bashful smile you love to be the reason behind.
"Only for my favorite girl," he admits, his voice is husky as his breath ghosts your face. The glimmer in his eyes makes your knees feel weak, just like it does every time you catch it being directed at you.
"I was born to love. I was born to love, I was born to love. I was born to-" plays through the speakers, adding to the warm hue covering the room as the two of you lose yourselves in each others eyes and rhythmic movements. You're both engrossed in each others company now, lost in each others eyes as you whimsically move through the candlelit room, enjoying the way the lighting lights up each others features in the simplest, most beautiful way.
Your breath gets caught in your throat at the look in his eyes. You've been together for years, and aren't new to the awe that twinkles in his green orbs as they drink you in, but that doesn't mean the gesture doesn't have you feeling like a puddle of goop beneath his feet every time you witness it.
"Times were tough, we made it through. We tasted the rough, so let's save the spoon," Jake sings along with the song, effortlessly twirling you before bringing you safely against his chest again. "All the time I was hurting you, got to believe that I was hurting, too." You're convinced that your own lovesick smile can't get any wider as you drink him in.
This song immediately carried significance in your relationship the first time the two of you heard it while slow dancing at a mutual friends wedding shortly after you started dating. The two of you knew that you loved each other, to a certain degree, before you heard it, but the lyrics immediately affirmed how you'd both been feeling after months of tiptoeing around it.
"Y/n Y/l/n, I think you're my person," he'd confidently, yet bashfully, uttered halfway through the second verse. His cheeks were tinted with nerves and whiskey as his eyes blearily captured your content exterior. Your eyes were doe-like as you blinked up at him in adoring surprise upon hearing his confession, but they quickly filled with tears of astonishment when he finished his next though. "I think I was born to love you." His expression was hopeful once he'd gotten the words out, dread dancing through his chest at the chance that you didn't feel the same way. Feeling vulnerable and out in the open wasn't something that Jake Seresin was used to, but he brought his heart out on full display in the moment, leaving himself exposed while awaiting your response. Taking a few seconds to process what he said, your hands cupped his cheeks to pull his attention away from the self doubt you could feel wafting off of him.
"Jake Seresin, I think I was made to love you too," you promised him with a tearful smile, losing your breath when he kissed you so passionately that your head spun.
"Sing with me baby," Jake requests, pulling your attention from the flashback. You easily tune back into the song, leaning your head against his toned chest as the two of you softly sing along with the chorus, the lyrics pouring from the two of you so easily that an outsider looking in may believe that you'd written them yourselves.
"I was born to love. I was born to, born to love, I was born to-." The two of you sing in whispered voices, further soaking each other in as you melt into him again.
"You're the only one I can talk to The only one I can really read I know you give because you want to Don't you think it's time you learn to let yourself receive?" You press a chaste kiss to his neck after the verse finishes, letting your lips ghost against his skin as you continue murmuring the lyrics to him, enjoying the way they sound through his Texan accent. His chins rests itself on top of your head as he recounts the way those words always make his heart clench due to their unwavering truth.
This specific verse is one that Jake has always connected with on a deeper level. You've been his safe place ever since he met you, and are the only person he's let see even the most broken parts of him. He's the same for you, and has been reading you like you're his favorite book that he can quote without skipping a beat.
Knowing that intimacy wasn't one of Jake's strong suits, you willingly jumped in and began showing him that he didn't have to carry the pressure of being the strong one all the time. You catered to every need that he'd allow you to without even blinking, because if you knew anyone that needed unconditional love, it was Jake Seresin. He quickly carried an immeasurable amount of gratitude for that, and swore to himself that he'd return the favor as soon as you'd let him and willingly receive love yourself.
"Can make you smile, can make you sing Just wanna give back a little bit of what you give me. I could sing you a song, play you a tune I know it's just a little thing, but it's something I can do."
Having been friends for a season prior to diving into each other, Jake had witnessed a small portion of your previous relationship, which tainted your own ability to accept love, though you never faltered in gifting it to others. You've always seen the value in caring deeply for other people's hearts and exemplifying that fact through your actions, but situations and relationships in your own life made it nearly impossible for you to return that favor to yourself. Jake made it his sole purpose to help you realize that you were just as deserving of love as the people you care about, if not even more. He wanted to give back all the love that you'd given him and, more importantly, he wanted you to be able to give that same kind of love to yourself. He did everything in his power to see it through.
"I was born to love, I was born to I was born to love, I was born to"
As soon as your friendship shifted into a hint of more, it was impossible for other people not to see that you were meant for each other. The way that you complemented each other so effortlessly never went unnoticed.
You know that couple that captivates everyone's attention due to their aura every time they walk into a room? That's you and Jake. Hell, that's been you and Jake before you and Jake fully existed. The eye-catching chemistry between the two of you has always melted the hearts of bystanders graced by your presence. The two of you carry the type of love that most people only dream of experiencing as you waltz through this life together.
I was born to love you I was born to love you.
The song finishes, but the two of you continue swaying in each others arms, not quite ready to let the fleeting moment pass just yet. Jake's hand cups the back of your head as he pulls away far enough that he can see your face in its entirety. Feeling shy under his attention, you glue your eyes to the floor, your entire head moving in an attempt to hide the emotions swirling in your chest.
Jake tuts his tongue, hooking his forefinger underneath your chin and dragging it upward so that your eyes lock on his again. He pauses, admiring the gentleness of your face, allowing his eyes to speak for him.
"I was born to love you, Y/n Seresin," he gushes, voice sultry and true, as he captivates you with his endearing expression. His thumb slides across the soft expanse of your cheek, resting at the space between your jaw and your neck.
"I was born to love you, Jake Seresin. And I'll gladly spend every day proving it," you promise, grinning at him now. He sucks in a sharp breath, overwhelmed by the love practically oozing from both of your pores. It takes a lot to render Jake speechless, yet you manage to do it every time you remind him just how loved he is by you.
Another beat of silent pining takes place before Jake's pulling you in for a brain scrambling kiss. His lips are soft against yours, molding together so easily that you can't help but believe they were sculpted just for you. You melt into him, each of you losing yourselves in each others kisses. You fall limp against his brute chest, merely putty in his mans hands as he lock his words in with his mouth, letting it do all the talking now. A new song queues itself up, but it's unnoticed by the two of you, the songs long forgotten as the dinner you were working on grows cold on the stove. Minutes feel like hours as you drink each others existence in, letting everything else fade away as though nothing else matters.
Nothing else matters to you as long as you can feel Jake's heartbeat thumping to the same rhythm as your own, your mind jumbled by even the simplest of kisses from him, and vice versa.
When you've found the person you were born to love, everything else in the world changes. Colors appear brighter. Aromas feel stronger. Darkness goes unnoticed. Somehow, love has the power to both amplify and extinguish everything around those lucky enough to experience it. You and Jake wouldn't have it another way as you bask in each others company, swaying gently to a never-ending stream of melodies as the world around you fades away.

'tis the damn season *sneak peek*
I'm posting a fic tomorrow about Reader & Emily reuniting at their high school reunion and both of them bringing dates to make the other jealous, and I'm excited about it, so I wanted to share a preview!
“You know, that color brings out your eyes,” Will drawled, pointing at her vibrant skirt.
You bit back a smile from spreading across your face and embarrassing him.
“Thanks,” JJ flushed.
“Special Agent?” You asked, calling Emily’s attention away from Will’s attempt at flirting. “So, you chose the FBI after all?”
“Not at first,” Emily hedged. “It’s a long story.”
“Right,” you said. And not one you were entitled to anymore.
The full fic will be up tomorrow!

omg, imagine actor!steve! being spotted at rockstar!gf show (kinda like people are spotted at ts era tour in vip tent) and getting cute little bracelets from fans & him showing her them afterwards.
In honor of a follower milestone, here, have some modern!actor steve x rockstar!gf. Took the prompt and ran with it; enjoy! 💜
tender charm
🎶 baby the way you move me, it’s crazy, it’s like you see right through me and make it easier, you please me, you don’t even have to try 🎶
Steve’s not the type.
Sure, he understands these sorts of things. And for most of your fans, attending a concert of this magnitude will be a defining event in the course of their lives.
He simply was not prepared for the sheer amount of people wanting to give him bracelets. He’s much more used to your fans showing off their ink and tattoos of lyrics or your handwriting. And, as always, he felt ill prepared because he didn’t have anything to offer them in return.
Luckily, they didn’t seem to mind. He was, however, bombarded with shouts of, “Take care of our girl, Harrington!” or “Tell Cherry we love her!” and the occasional, “We’ve got our eye on you, don’t fuck it up!”
Steve didn’t intend on fucking it up. Well, not if he could help it anyway.
So when he gleefully shows you the haul on his arms and shoved into his pockets at the end of the show, breathlessly recounting fan messages he’d promised to relay, Steve doesn’t necessarily catch the mischievous gleam in your eye as you nod along.
“I ended up with a ton of these,” his fingers pinch the moody teal and emerald beads at his wrist, black letters of SHRIKE contrasting against the bright white plastic, “I guess they assume it’s about me, or us.” He concludes with a shrug.
“Yes, because I never write songs about you.”
“Oh yeah, that’d be career suicide.” He laughs and settles back against the banquet seat of the tour bus.
“Hmm, that’s weird.” You say with a twist of your lips, “You’re missing some.”
Steve furrows his brow, confused as you turn to rifle through your bag. Prizing the bracelets between your fingers, you roll them onto his wrist before letting your hands fall into your lap.
He reads the newest acquisitions quickly, eyes widening in realization.
Something simple and to the point. Had cost you all of a ten dollars and maybe an hour of your time. An understated color palette of earthy tones for each bracelet, accented with black text printed on white beads.
The first proclaims DADDY. The second declares 2 B. The third is simply a chord of leather adorned with a singular gemstone in the center.
“Holy shit,” he breathes, voice barely above a whisper. “Are you—“ Big hands cup your hips and drag you closer to him.
“Yes,” you squeak, clambering into his lap and resting your forehead against his. Eyes growing misty, you blink to clear the haze and get a long look at him.
Under your gaze, he attempts to duck his head and nuzzle into your neck and shoulder. Your hands, cool against his heated skin, cradle his head while your thumbs rub in soothing circles against his scalp.
“You happy?”
Steve nods, at an utter loss for words. Can’t imagine trying to speak without his voice breaking or, god forbid, bursting into tears.
“Good,” You sigh with a sweet smile. “Me too.”
It was touch and go after the shower incident, which ended up being a false alarm anyway. And then there was really no time for discussion between your tour and his filming schedule.
It wasn’t something you’d sat down and discussed, not really. Steve’s always wanted kids, but never quite let himself believed that it would happen.
Not until you barreled into his life, a whirlwind of talent and genetics with a tendency for entropy.
One look at you and he was a complete goner. Started ring shopping after your visit to Palm Springs, as a matter of fact.
So to say that he’s happy is an understatement. Overjoyed, yes. Bowled over, definitely. Synapses and neurons firing in rapid succession, far to fast for him to keep up.
All he knows is this: the brush of your skin against his, a cool balm to his fevered flesh. The scent of you—musk and salt and home— surrounds him, blankets him in comfort. Everything he could possibly want, right here in his grasp.
“We’re having a baby,” he says with a shudder. Because now he’s said it, now it’s real.
You gnaw the swell of your bottom lip, pearly white and plush pink accented by the delicious curve of your smile.
“You can say that again.”
Steve jerks up helplessly. “What—“ Sets you back a pace and eyes you up and down, “Is there—“
A slow nod as happy tears clump your lashes together. As if you can’t take his torment anymore, you smile wide and radiant.
“Twins,” you rasp, “We’re having twins.”
He fumbled with his awkward limbs, drawing you near once more, hands tentative and hesitant with newfound knowledge. Logically, he knows you won’t break— you’re built of sterner stuff, as you like to remind him. But he can’t help treating you with tenderness at a moment like this.
Graciously, you allow it. Soft hands and watery smiles, sweet murmurs that fall from your lips and pierce him all the way through—“Let go, sweetheart. I’ve got you.”
A kiss planted on the tip of his nose as your hands stroke his form. Sliding smooth up his side and stoking heat into his arms and shoulders, up his spine, down his chest.
Steve’s eyes slip shut when your mouth returns to his neck. He takes your advice to heart, not that there was much convincing that was needed anyway.
It’s only then, your eyes both sharp and steady peering into the once empty parts of him, housed in the tender safety and warmth of your arms, does Steve bow his head and weep.

You're my shelter
What I like the most about this pairing is that they both bring softness in their partner life.
Aaron needs to have faith again in a woman and he needs someone he doesn't need to hide what he's living on a daily basis (I have this hc that he was not telling anything to Haley because he loves her and he doesn't want to scare her, because he needed her joy to go on). He needs someone who don't judge him all the time, who don't push him doing things he doesn't want to. And he finds all that with Emily.
Emily also needs someone she can trust with all her heart, who won't search in her past, who won't push her to have the classic housewife life (wedding, kids, housekeeping tasks when her husband is working and all), who will give her all the freedom she needs. And she finds all this with Aaron.
So, yes, they are a shelter for each other.
(PS: he's naked on the original drawing but I didn't want to be in any trouble (even if they aren't doing anything but cuddle))
___
And for now on, they both are my shelter too. I currently dealing with many things IRL and thinking about those two idiots sooth my anxiety.
But, even if I don't watch CME, I know that Josh Stewart (Will Lamontagne) is leaving the show. I don't know why and I don't want to know but it makes me fear that Jemily could be canon (even if there is already a lesbian couple with Tara). ^^;
The thing is that six months ago I wouldn't have mind (I mean, for me, Emily is bisexual so everything is possible), but now that my brain runs wild for Hotchniss 24h/24, the officialisation of the pairing between JJ and Emily will just annihilate all my mojo.
I know it can sounds stupid or crazy, but that's the way my brain is working actually. As long as there are holes in the original plot, it can imagine anything. But if someone officially says that the girls are together, then the machine will stop immediately.
And right now, I don't need that. I need my brain to continue to feed me with silly ideas about those two idiots until it'll switch to another fandom. I want to finish those texts I have in mind (I've got too many unfinished WIP in many fandom just because something broke my will-to-go one day). T-T
So, please, don't do that. I know writers like to please the fandom but love stories between main characters are not necessary for the show to be interesting if the script is good.
Or wait until I've finished writing. Then, do what you want. XD

cm kink bingo
At the last second, I decided to sign up for the CM Kink Bingo because I really adore the people running it. (And I'm a sucker for a challenge...well, folks, THIS is a challenge if you know me.)
I will accept requests for this, and I'm even willing to do a couple of other ships. Sending in a request is not a guarantee it will be written, sometimes my brain looks at a request and says HELL YEAH RIGHT NOW and others it shorts out and cannot make it work. But I always hang on to them (you can imagine the state of my inbox) just in case I get a spark. So, that being said, feel free to request the following ships: Hotch/Morgan (OF COURSE ALWAYS), Hotch/John Blackwolf, Hotch/Will Lamontagne, Hotch/Sam Cooper. Many of these prompts were chosen because they can be done SFW, but I am willing to write NSFW for this too.
Finished Fics:
Phone Sex (need you tonight)

imagine - Ben Platt Your eyes give life a new meaning / It's like I found the north light / I never knew what I needed / Until I felt your hand holding mine
Remind Me - Emily King You remind me of something / Something that I used to feel myself /Something that I used to feel / Like a heartbeat racing / Like a new beginning
Wicked Game - Chris Isaak The world was on fire and no one could save me but you / Strange what desire will make foolish people do / I never dreamed that I'd love somebody like you
On + Off - Maggie Rogers Take me through this wild time / Stay with me through all of time / I'm drenched in madness, dangled blue / Won't you, won't you? / Take me to that place where you always go
Hungry Eyes - Eric Carmen One look at you and I can't disguise / I've got hungry eyes / I feel the magic between you and I / I wanna hold you so hear me out / I wanna show you what love's all about
Can't Help Falling In Love - Perfume Genius Like the river flows, Surely to the sea / Darling, so it goes / Some things are meant to be / Take my hand, take my whole life too
I'm Your Man - Mitski You believe me like a God / I destroy you like I am / I'm sorry I'm the one you love / No-one will ever love me like you again / So when you leave me, I should die
First Time - Hozier Remember once I told you 'bout / How before I heard it from your mouth / My name would always hit my ears / As such an awful sound
The Stranger - Melissa Ferrick So let me in now / I am ready to move / And here comes fear and resistance from you / And for once I am willing and now what i've got to wait?
I'll Be with You - Pawns or Kings Spend too much of my time alone / wondering about my friends back home / thinking if they are having more fun / without me
Thirsty Dog - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds I'm sorry about all your friends / I hope they'll speak to me again / I said before I'd pay for all the damages / I'm sorry it's just rotten luck / I'm sorry I've forgotten how to fuck / It's just that I think my heart / and soul are kind of famished
10,000 Emerald Pools - BØRNS I'll dive in deeper, deeper for you / Down to the bottom, 10,000 emerald pools / Under water / Time is standing still / You're the treasure
j's lullaby (darlin' i'd wait for you) - Delaney Bailey I'd give you the sun if you asked me / You could have all of the time / You could have the stars and the trees / When dividin' up the universe / You could have mine
To Bring You My Love - PJ Harvey I think my time is near / And I've traveled over / Dry earth and floods / Hell and high water / To bring you my love
Hold You in My Arms - Ray LaMontagne Weapons of war / Symptoms of madness / Don't let your eyes refuse to see / Don't let your ears refuse to hear / Or you ain't never going to shake / This sense of sadness
Grow as We Go - Ben Platt If to change is what you need / You can change right next to me / When you're high, I'll take the lows / You can ebb and I can flow / And we'll take it slow
First Light - Hozier One bright morning goes so easy / Darkness always finds you either way / It creeps into the corners as the moment fades / A voice your body jumps to calling out your name / But after this I'm never gonna be the same / And I am never going back again
