The pillow vibrates beneath your head as the notifications on your phone add up. Knowing it’s nowhere near time for you to get up, you roll over, choosing to ignore whatever, or rather, whoever is trying to reach you. Your plan works for another several minutes as you attempt to drift back to sleep, but your phone soon buzzes again, signaling another notification.

You groan and clumsily reach to turn the ringer off, but instead, your curiosity wins. After a couple of slow blinks, your eyes adjust to the blinding light and are able to focus on the screen; a couple of likes on your latest tweet, a new follower request for your insta, and three new texts from ‘The Ex’…

You groan again and check the time. 2 AM.

“Mmm, right on schedule, ‘Kook,” you drone sleepily to yourself, “Glad to see nothing’s changed.”

Invested now, and unfortunately awake, you unlock your phone to read the full texts.

Leaving the messages on read, you think about the two ways this could go.

One, you ignore him, just as you have been for the last month, and pretend like he means nothing to you.

Or two, you text him back, agree to come over, and wind up in a self-hate spiral the following days for allowing him to weasel back into your life.

A third groan leaves your body, realizing your heart is clouding your mind, having already made the decision. You type out your message and hover your thumb over the send button, before pressing firmly, unable to take it back.

2:11 AM

‘i hate you…i’ll be there in 5’

This routine is nothing new to you, as much as you hate to say it.

It’s not the first time since your break up that he’s asked you over. And it’s not the first time you’ve rushed to see him, to relive the good times spent between his sheets.

He’s grinning now.

“We need to stop doing this,” you sigh, not even attempting to deny that you were ogling him. He’s hot, you both know it. No point in sugar-coating or avoiding it. “You can’t keep texting me this time of night and expect me to come over.”

“You can leave any time you want, you know that,” he says taking a step closer to you, “Just like you know you don’t have to text me back. But you do.” He extends a hand, which you accept, and you stand up, letting him pull you up against his chest. “Because you want to come over. Because you know you want this.”

Jungkook doesn’t waste another second before placing his lips on yours. He’s warm and comforting, smelling of sage and citrus, just like always.

He pulls you away from the front door, which he locks, and leads you towards his room. Even in the dark, you remember the path to his bed, your body has it practically memorized.

“Come here,” he whispers softly while his fingers dance along the edge of your wrinkled pajama shirt, before lifting it over your shoulders.

You didn’t even bother changing out of your stained and slept-in pjs. Jungkook has seen you in far worse conditions. Plus you figured they wouldn’t remain on for very long, and much to your pleasure - you’re right.

“Well, I’m sorry to say that if you’re here with me, that must mean he’s either very boring or is terrible in bed. Or maybe both?” He leaves the question open-ended for you to answer.

You roll your eyes and start to get up, not in the mood to discuss this with him tonight, or ever really.

You don’t need to explain to him that Taehyung deserves so much more than someone who’s willing to cheat on him, and with an ex-boyfriend at that. You two haven’t exactly made things official but it’s still unbelievably inconsiderate of you to waste his time while you pine after Jungkook, a guy who dumped you four months ago but still refuses to give you up.

“No, don’t go,” he groans. “What I’m trying to say is-” he pauses, fighting whatever is going on in his brain. “I don’t want you seeing him anymore,” he says bluntly.

“Why?” You press, begging for any sort of answer.

“‘Cause…,” he says, holding back.

“Because why Jungkook, I need you to say more than that. I need you to be more, we can’t keep going on like this.”

“Because I love you, dammit!” He runs a hand through his hair and huffs. “Can’t you tell? Isn’t it obvious? I’m still hung up on you and don’t like seeing you moving on when I’m, I’m…stuck,” he breathes.

He loves you.

A moment passes.

He. Loves. You.

“Please say something. Anything.” He’s nervously searching your face for any sort of answer.

“I don’t know what to say.”

“Say that you’re still hung up on me,” he whines, pulling you back onto his chest.

Your voice softens, “You know that I am.”

He kisses you gently, making your heart flutter with the possibility.

“Then what’s stopping us?” He asks once your lips part from one another.

It’s your turn to huff, you have so much to say yet it’s all lost on you at this exact moment. Funny how that works, isn’t it?

“You’re the one who ended things.”

Me and my friends are migrating there, it has the same features (in some ways) as Tumblr, but it's pretty new and empty, and is also run by a SMALL team of developers who listen to the users and fix things while keeping corporations out of the equation.

I unfollowed Noah a few weeks ago? On insta. And completly forgot that he also has tiktok and that i followed him there so one of his newer videos popped up on my page and it was smth like Eleven dancing in Fortnite and i checked the comments, hoping to see some palestenian flags🇵🇸 or anyone calling him out, but it was FILLED with support for him and "youre back baby🥺" "noah online era again!" "omg ily! Pls say hi to me🥺" and then i opened his full acc and noticed that That recent video was also more viewed and liked than some of his previous videos... all he had to do for so many people to switch up was... post a stupid fucking tiktok about Stranger Things... and just like that he was being idolised again, all it took...

Fucking pathetic and sad.

Love Will Byers all u want (he'll probably always be one of my alltime favourite characters too) but do not hide behind that to support Noah or Brett or Levy or whatever. Theyre awful human beings and they dont care about anyone but themselves. You can love the character and hate the actor. Fanarts and ao3 are free, you dont need to support ST. Pirate the show, make your own merch, only interact with free fanmade content. There's no need to show support for official Stranger Things stuff. Actually, take it a step further and boycott what the bds movement is asking to boycott!

My 2023 wrap up:

There's a couple different things that I made this year that I love. I don't know whether I'd choose something I made that became really popular, or if I'd pick something that I worked super hard on and felt accomplished making, or something that I think is beautiful. I'm really proud of the Draxum's Nightmare Comic that I've been working on, it checks off all those boxes for me... so I guess that's my answer for now!

I made an AU comic series for my OCs and "The Future and a Robot" series where they're all superheroes, and I posted it on insta. I'd like to post it here as well, soon... the link for the comic is here!

I absolutely adore @filsa-mek 's Empathy Amplified story on AO3. I found it sometime around November last year, and soon after started making a series of sketches for it... I'm still working on the sketches, though my latest update had to take a hiatus. I also, of course, love @somerandomdudelmao 's Cass' Apocalyptic Future Series. You honestly can't be a ROTTMNT fan and NOT know about that series! Third... I really love @hatekawa 's art and her Mikey comics. If I had to choose one, I'd prolly pick the comic she made where Mikey starts crying over how he loves his brothers but not himself.

Hi everyone 🫂 You can see the latest updates via this chain of information here 😅 but essentially what a year (as in last 12 months, but especially the last 10 months, it's been! Including illnesses, injuries, and multiple hospitalizations in our multi generational household 🫠).

However I am determined to ease back into tumblr before the next round of specialists and potential surgeries for our family - starting with today and fingers crossed, reply to all tags, notifs, and DMs by the end of next week 🫶🏻❤️ (legit have it time blocked between apps and everything 🤭).

For now, I'm gonna to start by sharing to my drafts months of art I've shared on twitter and insta (legit, I haven't posted art here since January, and not on AO3 since November?! 🫠). So that will be on a fairly steady que for every couple of days. Plus, I'll be sharing metas and memes along the way now that season two is back!

As for fun things that have been going on?

Blessed to be on the mod team and see the @tdvzine launch a crowdfunding campaign that was fully funded within 90 minutes! Now IWTV zines and merch are in production and being shipped in the next few weeks!!

Evolved my digital downloads store to a physical print one on Etsy 🥹

Launched a DTIYS art challenge on insta (and attached a fundraiser) 🎉

Made an ebook about shadow work through therapeutic art, by way of fictional worlds and characters 👌🏻

Participated in a few fun fandom events (but I'll share those deets as they evolve, and art is uploaded via the que system). But all in all I've done one to two art portraits a week this year ❤️🎨

And coming up?

My continued weekly IWTV themed portrait series through the season

And a ko-fi and patreon launch in June 👀

Other than that? . . . Not much 🤭

Off hiatus...?

So! it's been a loooong year, but it it's time to finally look back and review a little about what I've been doing...

It's officially been a year since I made these posts about my stroke (back then, I had not made any reblogs since the 23rd of June, I was hospitalized on the 26th, and I had entered rehab on July 6th. As you may note, I've been back on tumblr long since my hiatus explanation.

(However, now I look back and see I hadn't actually posted any creations - writing, art, edits, or otherwise since April of 2023. 😬Yeesh. I hope to change that during July or August. Before my stroke, I was coming home from spring semester on campus, and I was already planning to take a break from my studies for at least the summer and fall, and had hoped my writer's block would relieve itself after Father's Day and I had adapted to being home again.)

Anyway! What's been up more recently/how am I feeling? — Pretty good. Started feeling much more like myself partway in April this year, when I felt I could tap into the 'flow' of creative thoughts, for writing, and they were coming easier, and I was getting excited about getting back into it, and art, and other media. However, I decided to wait til I had some ideas planned, and to get more medical stuff handled.

I still have a lot to do over the latter half of this year, but I thought the anniversary of the hiatus post would be the best time to make an update. I'll be making other posts as well, including something to pin on my blog, until I have some new media posted.

Plans! — Of course, I’ve played various amounts of Animal Crossing, Pokémon, and other games over the past year, so I hope to share some edits/vids/experiences from them.

Art! — I eventually want to migrate my art either to Ao3, or here on tumblr, or on my own website, but basically just get it off DeviantArt or Instagram, since AI art generators are running rampant on them and other various websites. Not that my art is <that> good, but I don’t want to support websites like DA or Insta as much.

Speaking of, I will eventually be making my own website, and ‘locking’ my Ao3 to only logged in users, so that it will be less likely to be scanned by AI generators. I haven’t done it yet, but expect posts about that soon.

Writing — On the smallest scale of update, I’d revisit my first fic, Inhibitions, that I originally began in Spring of 2013 (I had forgotten I had started it in HS, 😅 sheesh!) I think I’ll be making my own comments on some of the chapters, and I’ll post about them on here as well. It’s still so important to me, as it was cathartic as I dealt with my own depression and anxiety over the near dozen years since, and I want to share part of the writing process, research, or my thoughts now.

Following that, I hope to update Aspirations soon too! Finally I’m figuring out some writer’s block, and wanted to show something for it.

Alongside, I may also have an update for my Star Wars Nouveau AU, on fanfics Aliit or Jedi Scholar soon, but am still figuring out some things on the back-burner.

Of the greatest relevance to me and to those of you in the Sandman fandom, I want to update my Sandman fic, The Nightmare of Orpheus, as again, I’m finally getting through some writer’s block, and I would like to update it before we get the “A Midsummer Night's Dream” episode (next year? Somehow sooner? Who knows?)

— as far as when I’ll actually have any updates before August, I aim to have proper goals set by my birthday, July 21st, so if I have fallen short, you can at least expect me to make a progress update then!

Im starting a vote on my dicord every now and then for oc info. This is armani and markies. It will tell what life was before and after finding each other. Not super detailed just enough info to get the main gist of shit.

Markies and Armani are both apart of the shadow realm. Each realm has birth defects. Markies just so happened to be born with ALL of them.

Birth defects are-

•Mostly white fur

•cyan anywhere

•unable to turn glow off

•more than 2 eyes

Markies has black only on his face. He has cyan eyes, 4 eyes in fact, and cant turn off the glow for his nose. Shadow realm inhabitants have glowing fur, nose, eyes, inside of ear and inside of mouth. They can turn it on and off. Markies can turn it off on his nose.

Because markies is the only shadow realm inhabitant whos ever had ALL borth defects had been hunted his entire life. He was easy to spot and a target for many. He was a liability to his pack / family so he had been dumped in hopes of being killed and never being the realms problem ever again.

The shadow realm protector wanted other realms to think they went extinct as it would benefit them in the war (more info soon on war) so they didnt want to risk sending him out as others would know they exist.

Markies had been (again) hinted his entire life. He had sustained life threatening injuries more than 5 times but he was able to find ways to hide such as digging under ground.

Normally no one would get with a mutant as they cant reproduce and because they cant reproduce they usually die out quickly. He also had no one to help protect him bc of this. He did have ppl find him and try to help protect him / adopt him before turning 16 but they all kept leaving him so he eventually stopped excepting help.

Armani had no big problems growing up, ofc the shadow realm being one of the most dangerous realms didnt help.

She may not have had any specific reasons for being targeted but the shadow realm is full of cannibals.

Armani doesn’t have any mutations. She is how ever infertile. She doesn’t see a problem with being with Markies as they wouldn’t be able to have kids even IF she was considered normal.

Markies had separation issues do to so many adoptions and abandonments in his past.

Markies and armani would be a couple for a good 20 years before the war, both living in the shadow realm for 5 and the forest realm for 15 before the war.

The war is a big war that all my OCs go through unless they choose to stay at home, even then their homes are effected as the lava/fire realm invade all realms except for the forgotten realm.

Armanis dies during the war. Markies ofc finds her. When he finds her he doesn’t leave and instead slowly dies laying next to her. Ofc she smelled as she decade but he didnt care, she was the only one who actually showed him what love is like.

Armanis dies at 32 and Markies dies at 29.

Hey, hey, Stargazers...

Do you ever feel like you can never really rant about your hyperfixations and fandoms to other people-?

Or that you have nobody to listen to you nor can you find people who have the same interests as you because it's extremely niche-? Did those hit too close to home-? Or did it just fly outside the ballpark?

Well, I know quite a few people like that. Also, I am one. That's why I opened up Fallin' Night Star. A place for people in fandoms to share their interests and find new interests... and to find the literal sweetest people on Earth who are very supportive and entertaining as hell. I cannot iterate more than enough how everyone there is so nice and sweet. Whether it's about going batshit insane over our interests and playing goofy silly games with each other... there will be neverending support from everyone. It's really nice to see. But enough of this sappy shit-! Hah-!

What's this...? An interest check-?

The club is opening up a feature soon called "Workaholic's Wonderland". Don't let the name scare ya, I just really like alliteration~ For those people who always wanted to be involved in creative fanprojects such as fandubs, fanzines, fangames etc., but found it hard to collaborate in them... we want to help people have fun engaging in such projects without the need for a high qualification. Working together, we want to be able to let everyone have the opportunity to be able to show off their talents!! The workshop is newly established and the point is to get people who are interested to help and have fun while we can see how far we can grow it. If you're interested in joining to toss ideas of projects and ideas of stuff that you'd love to collab with people to make a reality then I would encourage you to join and grab the role to enter~ Again, no qualifications needed and it's non-profit (for now), just people sharing and working together. ===

Additionally, we held casual voiceacting sessions where we jokingly voiced otomes (and other games). Currently, it's on hold, but if enough people are interested and pick up a voiceacting role (again, no qualifications needed!! Everybody's voice is good just as it is <3), it will return. === So long... so long... people are wondering when I will stop talking. But finally, I plan on releasing a lot of stuff related to my writing. Mostly on AO3 and Tumblr. Life hit me like a baseball bat but I'm getting back into doing stuff at a regular pace. (I say...) After writing seven novellas and publishing them on Amazon last year, I decided I was going to take a break from writing original stuff and work solely on the WIP I have on Ao3 because fanfiction is my love, my calling and it brings me so much joy. 

And then I got cast as Dr. John Watson in a local community theater play and all thoughts have now exited my brain. This is my entire personality. I have dreamed of playing Watson in a play for over a decade, if I’m being honest, and I thought because I am AFAB that I’d never get the chance. I’m so happy. Rehearsals are an hour away from where I live, though, and I’ve had a lot of car trouble, so I’m linking my Ko-Fi again in case anyone wants to buy me dinner or a coffee or contribute to my gas fund. 

Due to the financial struggle, I’m still in that same unsafe living situation. I really don’t know what to do. Rent is high, I don’t get paid enough to rent anyway. It’s a real struggle. Writing and acting give me something to look forward to and a positive creative outlet (reasons to breathe, honestly), so bear with me if I’m not writing as much fanfic as I used to. I’ll be back. I just gotta do this thing first. 

In addition to being Avery Morstan or Mad Rabbit Society on Insta and TikTok, I also do still post to my YouTube channel if anyone wants to watch sewing vlogs and thrift hauls. And yes, all the bolded words are hopefully the correct links, lol. 

A quick note about my original ‘books’: They are probably more of a Novella or Novelette. Each book is only about 15-20,000 words. I also try to focus the conflicts elsewhere- I’m very tired of the stress that miscommunication and the ‘third act break-up’ brings, so I attempt to keep these books moving but without those kinds of stressors. I call them Lo-fi romance. Chill reading. Good for vacations or over stressed brains. 

Also, another note on the original works: I think I’m going to take a brief break from romance and do a mini-cozy fantasy series this fall, so look for that to come out soon, too.

As today is the last MSP frigay, I just wanted to write a wee lwittle post about the people I am very glad I could connect with due to our love for this series [bordering on obsessive tendencies but that's okay this is tumblr]. Even more than the series, I looked forward to talking to these mooties of mine with their theories, fanfictions and just plain screaming at times.

Hopefully, our angst and delusion brain proportion stays the same as we really need to strike a balance at the end of the day 😭.

@gaylittlepieceofsh1t Nannu, you are the second friend I got from this fandom, and it was all thanks to your tinngun au on ao3. I loved that fic and I am glad we started talking BECAUSE of it cuz now I have a friend who will torture me by sending insta tinn edits cuz I was a dumb fool to blurt out my obsession with him at one point in time. I love sending you edits too and I hope neither of us stop that anytime soon even tho we are busy busy people.

@lost-my-sanity1 Trisha, you little baby. One of these days I need to very strictly scold you for using your [admittedly smooth] pick up lines on this old grandma. You are the youngest in my friend list but you are also so so mature in so many of your thoughts and theories that I do get a bit wonderstruck sometimes, I am sorry. I love how we share a lot of similarities and keep guessing what the future eps are going to be like, and I always, always enjoyed your reactions to every theory I copied from Twitter. Also I love telling you to go study, it's one of my fav past times.

To conclude, I am very very very happy that I met all of you and I hope we continue screaming on each other's faces about new well developed and well acted series.
