Sometimes a radish is just a radish. (And this isn’t one of those times 😆) . So the booty radish I posted yesterday (2nd pic for ref) is a good reminder not to make ass-sumptions. . What might, on the surface, look like just a butthead sassing you, could end up just wanting to hang out. . If you want to insert your own Id, Ego, Superego joke here, I’d be rooting for you 😉 . As a palate cleanser, feast your eyes on the amazeballs creamy orange of a butternut squash harvested last October after the Great First Freeze killed off the vines. Still have about 5-6 more grown from a seedling gifted last April! 🤗 . #GardenOfDLikes #SometimesARadishIsJustARadish #ToAssumeMakesAnAssOutOfUAndMe #ButtMostlyMe #RadButts #WildRadish #Cockeyed #DingDong #Radish #大根 #Radis #RaisedBedGardening #RaisedGardenBeds #BecauseFUGophers #ButternutSquash #SpringHasSprung #OutWithTheOld #NorCal #Zone9bGardening #Zone9b #Permaculture https://www.instagram.com/p/CNATTKKhRtm/?igshid=1diimv13aj4xs

Winters firm grip on our landscape begins to loosen. The days become longer, rain gives way to sunshine and cold gusty winds become warm soothing breezes that traverse the land and carry the scent of blooming flowers. Where fields were once parched and brown they now explode with life and vibrancy of color. Wild grass sways in the breeze, the movement traverses large fields like a wave. It's movement is hypnotizing, you close your eyes and feel the breeze, hear the many birds, and breathe in the clean air. A transformation has begun that is equally beautiful as it is fascinating. I spent the afternoon at Lake Calvera yesterday, a long game of hide and seek with a hawk ensued. Regrettably the hawk won every round and I walked away with nothing, but where one endeavor ends in failure another opportunity presents itself. As the setting sun cast long rays of golden light across a sea of wild grass lighting it as if it where ablaze a lone wild radish plant poked above the grass. A beautiful splash of purple amid a sea of red orange and green. A beautiful moment of delicate beauty to end the afternoon. #california #carlsbad #cbadmag #lakecalavera #wildradish #wildgrass #plants #nature#hiking #explore #sunset #goldenhour #nikonusa #d5 #fluxphoto #fluxphotography #spring #transformation #socal #flower #purple

It has been a year since my 60 Day Juice Fast
April 10th 2013 was the first official day of my juice fast. It ended 53 days later on June 2nd. Over those 53 days I lost 40 lbs (≈ 18 kg), and truly discovered a lot about myself when it comes to self control and stubbornness.
But 5 months later I had gained back all the weight, and then some. This last winter was incredibly hard for me. I lost all motivation, had to drop a few classes, and struggled with illness and death in the family. Not to mention the juice fast did not improve how I felt about myself and my body.
I still struggle today. But I am healthier (both physically and mentally) now than I have ever been.
This blog has been neglected the past few months, but no more. But with this revival, comes a few changes. I will be posting more personal text posts, dealing with body image, sexuality, and my endeavors outdoors. Along with the usual delicious raw vegan/vegan  food, I will be posting more yoga photos. Photos from my personal life, such has festivals in the Seattle area, and general hiking photos from my exploration of the Snoqualmie valley.
I hope you bear with me as re-adjust this blog. <3
Stay tuned - I shall soon be posting some hiking and packing photos.

Wildbeet is a fitblr
There will be some cross-pollination with my main blog, Wildradish, which focuses primarily on raw vegan food, juicing, and similar things. Wildbeet shall be focused on fitness, exercise, and general motivation.
[My food for each day will be posted on Wildradish, and reblogged here.]
My friend is a personal trainer, I have gave him some monetary compensation to make me a complete, comprehensive workout plan. Mostly focusing on strength training with some cardio.
[I want to be fit, I want to be toned, I want to be buff.]
I have been struggling with my weight for as long as I can remember. I am currently at my lowest remembered weight (which will be posted later). My weight has gone up, and down, and up, up, up, up, and down. And then stuck. And Stuck. And stuck.
[I am sick of loosing weight and then gaining it back. I am sick of being sick of myself.]
I have the food part somewhat down, I eat healthy, I love eating veggies and fruit. I don’t eat anything processed or with simple sugar. But I struggle with potion control and snacking (EDNOS).
I AM MAKING A COMPLETE AND TOTAL LIFE STYLE CHANGE. I AM GOING TO GET BUFF, GET FIT, AND STAY WITH IT.
AND THIS BLOG WILL CHRONICLE MY JOURNEY.

Random question for you! You don't have to answer if you don't want. Did you skip your period on your juice fast? I did. And it hasn't come back yet. Then again I am not worried about it too much.
I never skipped my period while fasting, but it may be because of my birth control pills. It wasn't normal though,  the last one was late and lighter than usual. I  think it would be normal to skip it or have abnormal while fasting. But I can't say for sure :)

Updates:
I am no longer 100% Raw Vegan. I am about 70-80% raw vegan. Honestly, I don't think 100% raw was sustainable for me. Especially once I started my weight lifting/strength training program. I am not trying to say that it is impossible to maintain a healthy raw vegan diet while on a strength training program - but It does not work for me, my resources, or my time schedule.
I am about 70-80% raw. I have been eating soup in the morning (homemade of course - SO EXCITED FOR AUTUMN/SEASONAL SQUASHES), with no cooked food after 2pm. When I do eat cooked food, I make sure that the meal is at least 60% raw.
I have started a super awesome weight training program. Seriously, I can't walk. Wildbeet has be beat. :D
I have a new theme! Check it out and leave my some feedback! Anon is always on.
