"Im stuck.." || Chris Kratt x GN! Reader ||
Summary: When Y/n finds themself in a sticky situation, Chris seems to be the only person they can think of to call for help.
Warnings:
Notes: This is my first time writing for Wild Kratts so... Yea, sorry if Chris is too OOC. I think this is also the longest fic I have up at the moment..? Word count is 875 exactly, nice. Anyways, enjoy~
Tumblr media
Y/n, the usually more introverted person on the Tortuga, finally decided to get out and go on a mission with the Kratt Bros. It was simple, just find a squirrel to observe its daily activities and see what they do when nobody is around. But, since they weren't used to this stuff (being out in nature with the brothers), they got distracted and decided to climb a tree to look for a squirrel.
Not a bad idea at face value so they went for it. They climbed a big oak tree with a small hole, perfect for a squirrel to exist in! They went branch by branch, small handhold by small handhold, anything to get to that hole they thought would have a squirrel.
Sitting on top of a nearby branch, they watched the hole for a good half an hour at minimum. They stood as still as possible, waiting for a squirrel to appear. After another half an hour with nothing, they realize a squirrel probably wasn't going to show up so they decided to get down.
Looking down to map out a path between everything the tree had to offer, they realized they couldn't find one that would work. Their first thought was to wing it and just go but then they remembered all the times Martin did that and it didn't work out in his favor - ever. They couldn't think of what to do besides call for help but they could only think of one person, Chris, who was currently busy with his brother on the squirrel thing. This mission really made Y/n dislike squirrels...
After a minute of not thinking of anyone else who could possibly help them, they sighed, "Welp, sorry Chris but Im stuck so.." and rang him on their creature-pod. He picked it up almost immediately.
"Hey! Where'd you get off to? You saw something then disappeared! Got m- us worried!" As Chris spoke, Y/n saw behind him, he was back at the Tortuga so they assumed the squirrel mission was a success.
"Oh, um, I am stuck... In a tree." They nod a tiny bit after their sentence. Chris looked at them with concern and slight shock. "How did you get stuck in a tree, Y/n?"
"Well, I saw this oak tree had a hole in it that looked good for squirrels so I climbed it, not really paying attention to where I was putting my hands and stuff. Im up the tree and can't find a path down..." They explained, now having started hugging the tree while on the call still. Koki spoke in the background, "I've got their coordinates, sent them to your creature-pod, Chris!"
"Okay, thanks Koki!" He turned back to his creature pod, "I'll be right there, Y/n, don't worry, and don't move!" The call ended before Chris could hear their remark, "Wouldn't if I could."
After a few minutes, Chris comes into Y/n's vision. He looked around for a while before they yelled out to him to get his attention. He looked up at them, shock filled his face, "How in the world did you get up there?!"
"I thought a squirrel would be in here!" They let go of the branch they were hugging with one of their hands to wave it around while talking to make a point. After they stopped talking and started to slip, they embraced the branch even harder than before. Chris sighed and quickly climbed to meet them near the hole in the tree, remembering his path so he could guide Y/n down after calming them down.
"Look, I just climbed up, it's not that hard to go back down the same way! Just follow me, and I'll show you! And I promise to catch you if you fall." He gave a reassuring smile and waited for them to sit up on the branch rather than laying on it whilst hugging it. He slowly made his way down the tree and they started after he reached the bottom, following every single thing he told them and trying to remember where he put his foot or hand and when.
Even with being this careful, Y/n managed to slip about three-quarters of the way down. Chris lunged forward to catch them, just like he promised. They smiled at him in a silent thanks for catching them but after he set them down they mumbled a verbal thanks. "What was that?"
"I said, thanks for coming all the way out here just to rescue me from that tree and catching me.. Thanks." A small amount of color dusted their cheeks as they made eye contact with him. He was smirking. He did hear them the first time. Upon realizing this, they lightly punched his arm and he chuckled. "Let's get back to the Tortuga, yea?"
As the two made their way to the flying Wild Kratts HQ, a comfortable silence filled the air. Just before entering, Y/n gave Chris a kiss on the cheek and then walked in as if nothing ever happened. Chris stood there blinking for a solid minute, Martin had to come out and drag him inside but not before he mumbled something. "Im never washing this cheek again..."

Wild kratts one shot short fic (please mind the tags. It’s mainly violence and injury)
This fic was more or less both practice for fight scenes as well as a precursor to my au. I want to establish that the boys are going off canon in a way because they can and will throw hands if need be. They don’t like to, but they will

Magic: A Wild Violet One Shot
Hello All! I have a new Ziolet one shot I’ve had in the works since last fall that I’m excited to share with you, it is called Magic: A Wild Violet One Shot!
This story started out as an attempt to fulfill a Selfship September writing prompt, but I was so nervous to post it then because of my lack of confidence in my writing abilities. I’m trying to get over my fear, and I’ve been writing quite a bit, so I feel ready to share this with you all!
This piece is quite special to me, and it represents a big step forward in the nature of Zach and Violet’s relationship. It’s something I’ve had trouble writing for them because of my past, but I feel like it came out very well! And I feel comfortable with it, which is the best part 😊.
Below you can find the summary for the story, a list of warnings, and the links to the story!
Tumblr media
Summary
“It was like magic, to see her smile…But, if I’m honest, every moment with Violet is magic.”
Zach Varmitech and the love of his life Violet take a major step forward in their relationship, and they share an intimate and heartfelt day together in the aftermath.
Warnings
This work is mild in nature, but there are a few warnings to note before you proceed further. The work contains kissing, hugging/cuddling, referenced character death, implied sexual content, and implied/referenced past abuse.

Wild Hearts: Creature Chemistry
Dabio finally has enough and leaves Donita and the villain lifestyle behind him. Based off the episode "Mystery of the North Pole Penguins?"
youtube
Written by me and my friends at 3 am. Not meant to be taken too seriously lol.
Chapter 1: Enough
Fandom: Wild Kratts
Pairing: Dabio x Jimmy
Other Stuff: Implied ableism (not much), Dabio redemption arc, Dabio is a brony.
AO3 link
“We're gonna come over and hang out with you. We can play tennis together, and then have lunch, and then go to the movies and we'll have lots and lots of fun together.“
Dabio was still thinking about the phone call he and Donita had with the Wild Kratts earlier. He would never tell Donita but he really wanted the Wild Kratts to come over and hang out with them. He and Donita rarely hung out so he knew that Donita would never want to hang out with the Wild Kratts.
Donita would always call the Wild Kratts weird.
He'd never seen Donita hang out with anyone besides the other villains, and she didn't even really like being around them that much. She spent all day designing clothes for her fashion lines, shopping, going to the spa, and other stuff by herself.
He didn't know if she ever even had friends before.
Regardless of what Donita thought of them, Dabio kind of liked the Wild Kratts team even if they were on opposite sides. Despite everything, every time he and the Kratts came in contact they would still treat him and Donita with respect, though sometimes they liked to mess around with them.
He sometimes imagined what it would be like to be their friend or even be part of the team.
Even if he was disappointed that the Wild Kratts couldn't come over, he knew that their presence would put Donita in a bad mood, and he DID NOT want Donita to be in a bad mood for what he was planning on asking her later.
Nobody knew this but Dabio loved the TV show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic with all of his heart. He had been a fan since he was very young. He kept My Little Pony figurines in his room but had them hidden extremely well fearing that Donita would throw them out if she saw them. He also had a My Little Pony blanket that Donita had seen but surprisingly had allowed him to keep on his bed. The first time she saw it she just rolled her eyes and scoffed.
Dabio would go on My Little Pony forums to talk to fellow bronies because he didn’t know anyone in real life who was a My Little Pony fan. Well, technically the only people he knew were Donita and the other villains.
While he was scrolling on a forum one day he saw that a pegasisters convention was being held in the place where he and Donita were currently. For this particular convention though any bronies or male attendees would have to be accompanied by a woman as a precaution to prevent any weirdos from showing up. There were, unfortunately, a lot of weird men in certain parts of the My Little Pony community.
If he wanted to attend the convention he had no choice but to have Donita take him.
Donita was currently taking a nap as she claimed talking to the Wild Kratts had drained all of her energy, while Dabio was stressing about how he was going to ask Donita if he could go to the convention.
He had everything planned out already. He had bought the tickets with his own money, had a costume planned, and found a hotel near the convention where he could spend the night if he needed to.
The hardest part was getting Donita’s approval…
[A few hours later]
Donita had woken up and was working as usual. Dabio decided that he needed to ask her now or never.
“Uh…uh D-Donita? I have question” Dabio stumbled over his words as he nervously approached Donita at her work desk. She had her head down, most likely working on some new designs. He knew that Donita hated it when he asked her for literally anything but this was just too important for him not to take a chance.
He must have been standing behind her twiddling his fingers for too long because he hadn't noticed Donita turn around in her chair. “DABIO!! WHAT DO YOU WANT!” Donita yelled as she struck him on the side of his chiseled face. If his head wasn't so thick he might have felt it.
“Um well you know my favorite show is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic right?”
“You mean that children's show with the stupid horses?” Donita said with clear disinterest as she turned back around at her desk. Donita had heard Dabio obsessing over the show many times before and she was growing sick of hearing about it. He shouldn't be getting that excited about colorful horses at his big age.
Dabio felt very offended at Donita’s description of the best show to ever exist and could tell by her response that she was already agitated with his existence. “They are not stupid horses, they are ponies.” Dabio loudly corrected her but flinched in fear that she would strike him again. Luckily she just rolled her eyes.
“Ponies. Horses. Who cares it's still just a stupid kids show that you are far too old to still be watching” Donita basically shrieked.
Dabio wanted to defend himself and his beloved ponies but he knew fighting with her would lower the chances of him getting permission to go to the convention.
“I- I know you think it's just a stupid horse show but it means a lot to me. I was wondering if you would let me go to the convention here. Pretty please Donita?” Dabio had his fingers crossed behind his back. Donita just stared at Dabio. Her eyes went wide.
Dabio spoke again. “We can even go together. I saved up enough for two tickets.” Dabio said as he pulled out two small slips of paper from the pockets of his way-too-tight jeans.
“Please?”
Donita tapped her pen against the table in a rhythmic fashion before finally answering.
“No Dabio.” She held up a paper with graphite smudges, “Besides you're going to be too busy collecting animals and modeling for my spring collection to go anyways! Now leave me alone. I have a lot of work to do.”
“Okey dokey Don-”
Dabio paused
Why was he going to take this treatment again? The Wild Kratts never spoke to him like this. Hell, the other villains didn't even speak to him this way, but Donita did. Even after capturing hundreds of animals for her to turn into fashion statements. Even after being her personal bodyguard, driver, chef, you name it. Even after all he had done for her, she still treated him like gum on the bottom of her little kitten heels. All he wanted to do was attend a gathering where he would meet fellow My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic lovers like himself. Maybe he could even make some real friends. But Donita never cared about him or what he wanted. She only cared about herself and what she wanted to do.
He knew that it was because of his disability.
Dabio felt so discouraged and embarrassed he wanted to just run to his room and cry, but he knew Donita would make fun of him for doing that too.
Dabio stared at the back of Donita’s head for a few seconds before taking a deep breath.
“Actually Donita. I have something else to say.”
Donita groaned as she turned around in her chair once more “What is it Dabio? It better not be about those damn horses again!”
“I think sometimes you are a meanie. I don’t like the way you treat me.”
Donita looked at Dabio in disbelief “You don't like the way that I treat you? Well, darling, you don’t have to like anything that I do. You just have to do it. Do you think I honestly care about what YOU want to do!”
“No Donita. How you treat me is not right. You act just like Gilda the Griffin. Always bossing around every pony no matter how much they do for you.”
Donita didn’t know who the hell Gilda the Griffin was but she was growing more and more irritated with Dabio’s disobedience.
“If you don’t like how I treat you go ahead and leave. See how long you make it in the real world without me to hold your hand like a toddler. You’re more of an overgrown man-child than Zach.”
With that Dabio was done.
“Fine. I will!”
Donita didn’t even care. She just turned right around in her seat again and got back to work. What she didn't know was that Dabio was completely serious about leaving.
Dabio went to his room to pack a bag. He packed his most valuable possessions:
His rare MLP figurines
His Fluttershy blanket
His tuxedo print t-shirt
His champagne toast bath and body works body mist
His Tamagotchi
A life supply of pizza Lunchables (in case he needed a snack during his journey)
As Dabio was looking for more stuff to pack he stumbled across a photo of him and Donita that he had in a bedazzled pink frame. Well, to be honest, it was a photo Dabio took of himself and then photoshopped Donita into, but the photo still had sentimental value for him so against his better judgment he packed it with him.
Time: 4:30 am  Location: Donita’s Private Jet  Day: Friday
Dabio heard Donita go to bed about 5 hours ago. He sat on his twin-sized bed tapping his foot anxiously on the floor. He still was contemplating running away but he was terrified. He hadn't been by himself in years and didn’t know if he was capable of surviving on his own
He checked his phone. He knew the private jet was parked about 30 minutes from the city. He was hoping that when he got into the city he could find a hotel. Somewhere Donita wouldn't find him.
Eventually, Dabio decided that he needed to do this now or risk Donita finding him awake at this hour. He got off of the bed, suitcase in hand, and headed for the door as quietly as he could.
Dabio was actually quite graceful for his size and was able to sneak out the door (which was still slightly busted from Chris ripping it off in the Sloth Bear episode) and down the stairs while making minimal noise. It's probably the first time Dabio has been able to walk freely without hauling around Donita like a sled dog!
As soon as Dabio was outside the made a run for it just in case Donita had heard anything.
And with that Dabio made his trek towards the city. The song “work” by Iggy Azalea was blasting in his off brand Temu AirPods
This song was very special to Dabio because the lyrics captured his current predicament and the artist is an immigrant such as Dabio is.
Walk a mile in these Louboutins  But they don't wear these shits where I'm from  I'm not hating, I'm just telling you  I'm tryna let you know what the fuck that I've been through  Two feet in the red dirt, school skirt  Sugar cane, back lanes  Three jobs, took years to save  But I got a ticket on that plane  People got a lot to say  But don't know shit about where I was made  Or how many floors that I had to scrub  Just to make it past where I am from  No money, no family  Sixteen in the middle of Miami
Thank you for reading this mess. Critique is welcome.
Updates coming soon!

Please Carry Me Home | A Wild Kratts Disney Au Fanfiction | Chapter 1
“You WHAT?!”
Chris sighs out of annoyance and rubs his temples.
“So let me get this straight, you bucked Martin’s friend Lance because of what?”
“he looked funny.”
“That’s not a good reason!!” Chris exclaims.
The stag, who Chris had given the name “Buck” a few weeks ago, does his own version of an eye roll at Chris’s comment, which Chris definitely doesn’t appreciate.
Many different creatures are sitting around the window of the cottage to interact with Chris, the man in question waiting for his friends to return back from their work in the mines at some point in the evening.
Berry, the squirrel who’s been hanging out with him throughout most of this insane adventure he’s been on, chitters a little bit at him and causes Chris to immediately swing around to face him.
“OF COURSE NOT!! Berry, having someone steal your acorn stash is obviously not a good reason to have Buck buck them!”
Berry pouts at that response and Chris groans, rubbing his forehead with his hands as all of the animals nearby continue to look at him and mingle amongst themselves.
One of the birds sitting in the tree right outside of the window, a young bluebird sitting near his parents, glances over to the side and spots a shadowy figure heading in their direction.
He attempts to tweet out an alert to Chris and the other animals, but before he can he realizes that the figure has already arrived.
The animals quickly move out of the way as the figure arrives at the window, hiding behind the large tree right outside and watching from afar.
Chris glances up again and immediately jumps in surprise at the sight of a haggard, hunched-over old woman in a long hooded black cloak in place of the animals who were just there a second ago.
Her appearance is slightly unsettling to Chris for some reason, however he can’t quite pinpoint why, so he decides to just ignore the feeling.
“Hello dearie,” The old woman says, her voice slightly raspy as she speaks. “All alone on a day like this?”
Chris blinks and takes a quick look around, realizing that all the animals who were just with him a second ago are gone. He lets out a long sigh and looks back up at the old woman. “...yes.”
“The…little men who live here, are all away?” She asks, looking around from her spot at the window.
“Yeah, they’re all off at the mines working,” Chris replies, “I’m just here to visit. Is there anything I can help you with?”
The creatures that had been interacting with Chris just minutes before all watch from afar as he interacts with this lady, confused as to how he doesn't seem to find her very disturbing. Berry, who ran outside as soon as the old lady first showed up, watches much more intently than the other creatures, sensing that something is a bit off.
“uh, berry? you might wanna take a look at this,” One of the rabbits pipes up, turning Berry’s attention away from Chris and the creepy old lady, to the sight of a couple vultures sitting in a nearby tree.
Berry freezes and grabs the other creatures’ attention, causing them all to notice the vultures as well. They’re leering at their lunch, patiently waiting for the death of whatever it is they’re after, which the creatures realize as they follow the direction of the vultures’ stares, appears to be Chris.
“Here, I have a few apples here along with me,” The old woman says, pulling a bright red apple out of the basket slung over her arm. The animals look back and forth between the vultures and Chris with the creepy old lady in horror, immediately realizing what’s about to happen.
Before the lady can continue, however, Berry and a bunch of the birds who’ve been watching the scene play out in front of them all jump down from their hiding spots in the tree and begin swarming the old woman, making her drop her basket full of apples as she attempts to shoo them all away from her.
Chris quickly runs out of the cottage and runs over to her to help.
“Shoo! Shoo! What the heck is up with you guys?!” Chris exclaims, shooing Berry and the birds away from the woman himself.
The birds all fly back over to the tree they were previously sitting in, Berry scurrying along up after them, and Chris shoots them all a glare before checking on the old lady they had all just attempted to swarm.
She’s picked the apple she was about to offer Chris back up, frantically trying to dust it off with her sleeve.
"I’m so sorry ma'am, I have no idea what's gotten into them, they never act like this normally,” Chris says, checking to make sure that the old lady’s okay. “Are you alright?”
Berry glares at the lady as she pauses for a sec, appearing to be planning her next move as a smile quickly reappears on her face.
Suddenly she gasps dramatically and clutches her chest, acting as if she’s on the verge of a heart attack or something similar.
“OH!! MY HEART!!” The old woman loudly cries, falling backwards slightly making Chris catch her. “My poor heart, take me into the house, let me rest, please!” Chris helps the old woman into the house as best as he can, his hands on her shoulders as he helps her walk. He leads her through the door and throws one last glance back at the animals outside, giving them a quick glare before turning to head in after the old woman and get her some water. He shuts the door behind him and the animals quickly run over to the closed window, watching as Chris runs to get some water from the pump at the sink while the old lady sits down, a wicked grin appearing on her face as soon as he turns around.
Berry bolts down off of the window sill, chittering something at the other animals before running off, all the other creatures quickly following him.
The animals all run and fly as fast as they can away from the cottage and towards the location of the nearby mines, speeding away to go find those dwarves. They aren't letting Chis go down without a fight.
Running back over to the old woman, Chris hands her the glass of water he just got for her and she drinks it heartily, practically chugging it before sighing as she finishes the glass and handing it back over to him.
“Thank you, dearie,” The old lady says. “Please, for your kindness, take this.”
She pulls out a vibrant red apple out from under her arm and holds it out to him.
“The best apple from my most recent harvest,” The old woman says. “No charge, it’s a gift.”
Chris smiles and happily takes the apple from the old lady’s hands.
“I’m glad I could help,” Chris cheerfully replies.
Chris glances down at the apple in his hands, grins, and takes a huge bite out of it, not noticing the dark smile that’s slowly appearing on the old woman’s face. For a few moments after the bite, everything is fine.
And then those moments pass.
Chris suddenly notices a painful burning sensation in his throat and panics, gagging as his hands go to his throat and the apple in his hands drops to the floor.
What’s happening?! Is the apple stuck in his throat?! Is he suddenly allergic to apples or something?!
The pain is in his chest too now, and it hurts. Chris gasps and falls down onto his knees, his legs suddenly giving out beneath him as he grabs onto his stomach and winces in pain.
He looks up at the lady who gave him the apple for help, but to his horror, just sees her looking at him with a wicked smile on her face as she watches him suffer.
And that’s when Chris realizes something. She wanted this to happen.
He isn’t suddenly allergic to apples, this lady is trying to kill him.
Chris’s eyes widen as he comes to this realization, and he quickly begins to cry out for help.
“MARTIN!!! JIMMY!!! I NEED HELP!!” Chris cries desperately.
And then it dawns on him as his entire body slowly begins to ache with pain, that Martin and Jimmy aren’t there. That he’s completely and utterly alone with nobody but the old lady who gave him that damn apple in the first place close-by.
Does that stop him from continuing to call out for help anyway? Absolutely not.
“HELP!!!” Chris screams, his voice straining from the effort. “MARTIN!! JIMMY!! SOMEBODY!! HELP!!!”
He descends into a coughing fit as soon as he finishes that round of yelling, tears beginning to prick his eyes as his lungs heave.
“aviva...? koki...?” Chris whimpers. “...anybody?”
Nothing.
Chris gags as the pain flares up some more, feeling his blood boil as the apple melts inside his body. It hurts. He feels like his body is on fire and all he can do is sit there as the pain continues.
Chris slowly begins to feel woozy alongside the throbbing pain in his chest and throat and panics.
Oh god. He's dying, he's actually dying. He can feel his breath beginning to slow involuntarily and he can't stop it.
He tries to call out for help again but no words come out, not even raspy ones. The old woman continues to watch him as he struggles, a dark smile on her wrinkled face as Chris inches even closer to death.
Everything hurts. Everything hurts. Hot tears spill down his cheeks as he tries to hold on to whatever strength he has left.
He doesn't want to die.
His breath catches in his throat and he gasps, the images of his friends flashing through his mind. Aviva, Koki, Jimmy, Martin. Oh god, Martin.
None of them are here, not even the animals who he had just been talking to are close-by anymore. It’s just him, and his killer, all alone.
Oh god, he's dying alone.
Nobody is coming to rescue him, nobody is coming to help. Even Martin, who's always come whenever he needed him, isn't coming. He's alone. He's alone, he's alone, he's alone.
His lungs feel raw, his body is aching, and he can already tell that he's getting close to slipping into unconsciousness. He lets out a sob and begins to shake uncontrollably, only able to cry out for help in his mind.
He's...cold. So, so cold.
"mart'n... help... me..." He cries out faintly, his eyes rolling into the back of his head and his body falling straight towards the floor, the world around him finally fading to black.

Just read Disease. HOW COULD YOU!? That had me so upset! It was a great story, but WTF!?
Ah, yes, my favorite kind of reaction, lol. In all seriousness, I love this fanfic. I would apologize for making you upset, but I'm not sorry. Okay, maybe a little sorry. But not very much.

Beach Day! || Martin Kratt x GN! Reader ||
Summary: Y/n and Martin break away from the gang to have a day at the beach. Chaos is what they return to but the day away from everything made life so much easier.
Warnings: None
Word count: 885
Note: Antoehr WK fanfic! Yippe! Yall seems to enjoy "Im stuck" so yea!
Tumblr media
The Createrra stopped on the sand as Martin shut it off, already reaching back to grab stuff that he and his s/o, Y/n, would need for the day. They turned around in their seat and griped the headrest, surveying what Martin wasn't grabbing and then grabbing it themself. He managed to grab a lot of the heavier stuff as the two made their way toward the water. "See, completely alone!"
As if on cue, a crab appeared out of the sand and tripped Martin. He fell flat on his face as Y/n giggled, grabbing what they could while asking if he was okay. "Im fine." He picked his head up, spitting out sand for a minute while Y/n made their way to the water line. Martin picked up what was left and ran to them. "Now Im even better! You're here, we're at the beach, all is good."
--
Meanwhile, the crew at the HQ was not having a good time without their main organizer, Y/n, and Martin knew where half the things people needed were! They two left their creature pods in the Tortuga so they could detox for the day completely. Chris lets out a wale of frustration, "WHERE IS MY CREATURE POWER SUIT?!"
--
After a few minutes, Y/n and Martin managed to set up a decently laid out set up with the extra towels they brought to lay on the sand so drying off wouldn't be so sandy. The couple planned to be here all day if all went well. Y/n pulled out the sunscreen and put some on their face and what skin was showing on their body then did Martin the exact same way. The cool liquid felt like a shock to his skin at first but then the warmth of Y/n's hands made it better after a few seconds.
The two had gotten there just after sunrise so they had all the time in the day to exist in the pure niceness of the other's company. For the first twenty (20) minutes, they did just that, Y/n put their head on Martin's shoulder and the two just basked in the sun and each other's silent show of affection.
--
Back at the HQ, things had slightly calmed. That was until they realized the keys to start the Tortuga were in Martin's bag... On the beach... with Martin. Chris let out a sob, missing his brother and the calmness both he and his partner brought to the Tortuga.
--
The sun was now high in the sky and Martin decided that he and Y/n should swim but without them knowing. "Hey, Y/n, I wanna see if I can still pick you up! It'll be fun!" They chuckled and nodded, standing in a T-pose before Martin picked them up on his shoulder. Their hands managed to slap his butt a few times which made them giggle but because they were so focused on what they were doing they failed to notice that Martin was moving towards the water.
By the time they did notice, they were going back first into a wave. Y/n sits up and tries to catch their breath then is hit by another wave. Martin laughed so hard that he leaned over his knees. Y/n saw the opportunity and yanked him into the third (3rd) wave that ended up taking both of them down. The two stood when they could and Y/n tackled Martin, trying to send him into the waves that went past their waist.
The two spent the next thirty (30) minutes sending each other into various waves before they took a nice swim to relax before they ate back on the beach with each other. Martin got out and laid down first, allowing Y/n to use his chest as a pillow of sorts. After a while of drying in the sun together, they pulled out a small bite to eat before taking a nap together.
--
Chris decided a while a go that he should nap, this decision later Chris decided a while ago that he should nap, this decision later came to bite him in the butt. A wolf puppy managed to make his way into the Tortuga and he jumped onto Chris' stomach an hour into his nap. He shot up and started coughing. This scares the pup who jumps down and starts barking for help. Soon the pup's pack showed up and cornered Chris. "Help-"
--
As the two woke up, they saw the sun was setting and decided to head back to Tortuga. They packed up everything they'd brought and shoved it all back in the Createrra. Once they got back, the sun was far gone. Martin was laughing at something Y/n said while they giggled and walked inside. As they walked into the main area, they stopped giggling and stopped walking suddenly which made Martin bump into them. He registered what was happening in front of him and he dropped whatever he was carrying. "What happened while we were gone?!"
Chris peels himself off of the floor before answering his brother, "You don't want to know, bro..." He then fell back to the floor, sticking like gum.
The couple looked at each other, not ready to fix this mess right now, before walking backward to sleep in the Createrra for the night.
Chris lets out a wale of frustration. "WHERE IS MY CREATURE POWER SUIT?!"
--
After a few minutes, Y/n and Martin managed to set up a decently laid out set up with the extra towels they brought to lay on the sand so drying off wouldn't be so sandy.
--

So…I Have A New OC x Canon Wild Kratts Ship I’d Like To Introduce…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gaston Gourmand and Amy Rain Smith (AKA: Violet’s Aunt!)
They are the sassy southern chef duo who meet when they serve as the joint caterers for Zach and Violet’s wedding. Despite their attempts to kill each other in the process of making the meal, they get past their differences, make a fantastic meal, and eventually fall in love 😍!
The relationship with Amy helps to curb Gourmand’s obsession with cooking rare and endangered animals. He instead focuses on making meals with Amy that contain the finest and most exotic ingredients (spices, vegetables, and so on, but NOT endangered animals), and lots of heart!
A quote from them that I must share:
Gourmand: “Do you ever think about me being your nephew-in-law’s ex boyfriend?”
Amy: “I try not too…”
Gourmand: “Or that Little Sugar and I have…” (Little Sugar is Gourmand’s nickname for Violet).
Amy: “I don’t know what you’re gonna say, but don’t you dare finish that sentence…”
Picrew Used for Amy’s Image
Feel free to ask anything about them, I absolutely love this ship!

Remember When...
On a beautiful cloudy day, a day like any other, where one wouldn't suspect any unusual incidents, the Kratt brothers were out exploring the rainforest of Borneo, wandering through the trees while listening to every whistle, every rustle, and every sound.
"Hush… Did you hear that?" Chris stopped all of a sudden, not moving a muscle.
"…I don't hear anything," Martin said in a hushed tone, coming to a halt right behind his brother.
"There it is again!"
This time, Martin heard it. "Oh yeah… Sounds like a monkey," he supposed. They both looked around for the source of the sound, until-
"Martin, heads up!" Chris alerted as a fruit came falling right on Martin's head. "Ow!" he yelped as the fruit bounced off his head and on the ground. Curious, he picked up and analyzed the mysterious fruit, which looked like a sea urchin.
"A rambutan?" He raised an eyebrow. Chris tilted his head, a grin on his face. "Do you know which creature eats rambutans?" He asked rhetorically.
"If I'm not mistaking, it can be none other than-" he looked up with confidence at the tree the fruit had fallen from.
"A rhinoceros hornbill!" He pointed at a funny looking bird with black feathers on its body and white feathers on its legs, along with a white tail with a black band, both the beak and casque orange and red in color.
"Wow!" Let out the brothers in awe, admiring the creature as it made that same sound from earlier, almost similar to dog barks echoing through the trees.
"So that's what a rhinoceros hornbill chirp sounds like," Martin said. "And he already comes with a name: Rhino!" He happily declared.
"Rhino?" Chris chuckled.
"Yeah, Rhino!" Martin looked back up at the bird…only to find that it was gone.
"Rhino?" He called out. "Where'd he go?" He squinted his eyes through the tree branches above them, yet nothing.
"Dunno, but let's find out." Martin heard his brother say, as he turned around, finding he had already started climbing the tree. "Uhh, Chris… What are you doing?" He crossed his arms.
"Getting a bird's eye-view," Chris was putting all his focus into climbing. Martin observed him, amused, a genuine chuckle escaping him. "Any reason to climb, huh?" He teased, a smug look on his face.
Chris rolled his eyes, secretely smiling himself, finally reaching the branch they last saw the bird perch on. He carefully sat on the branch and squinted his eyes, looking around for any sign of Rhino.
A sudden harsh breeze, followed by a strike of lightning!
"Woah!" Martin yelped, almost jumping from fright. "Uhh, Chris… I think we should go-"
CRACK.
The Kratt in blue looked up to find the branch his brother was sitting on starting to crack, his eyes widened.
"CHRIS GET DOWN FROM THERE!" He yelled out, but before Chris could react, it was too late.
At that moment, the branch completely broke, sending him falling hard on the ground. "AAAAH!"
THUD.
"CHRIS NO!" Martin immediately came running to his brother, who was laying on the ground near a rock. He knelt on his knees and, with shaky hands, reached out to hold him in his arms, but gasped when he felt his hand getting covered by…blood!
He looked down with wide eyes to find a serious injury on the right side of his head; blood was covering his cheek, leaking down from a wound on his forehead, which he had gotten from hitting it hard on that same rock.
"Oh, no…" Martin held his unconscious brother closer to his chest, tears of inquietude forming in his eyes. Then, he regained himself, knowing what he had to do.
He took off his sweatshirt and rolled it before placing it beneath Chris' head, then he reached for the first aid-kit in his bag. He took out some bandages and a bottle of wound cleaning solution and, with a white cloth, he cautiously started wiping off the blood that was still running down his brother's face.
As soon as he pressed the cloth on the wound, Chris winced in pain, his eyes still closed shot, letting out silent cries. Martin sighed as he continued the process, putting aside a now half blood covered piece of cloth and grabbing a second one, when-
"M-Martin…" He looked down to find Chris looking up at him with half-opened eyes. "W-What happened?" his voice was weak, almost indistinct.
"Shh… Don't move, bro. You hit your head pretty hard," Martin whispered, wiping off the last bit of blood from his forehead.
"Don't worry, I'll get you back to the Tortuga." He gave him a sad smile, the green Kratt only closing his eyes with a quivering sigh, slipping back into unconsciousness.
As soon as Martin finished wrapping his brother's head using the bandage, he placed everything back in his bag, grabbed his sweatshirt and gently picked up Chris bridal-style, before heading back to the HQ…
A few hours had passed, and Martin was now sitting on a chair beside his brother's bed where he was lying, still unconscious, holding his hand and not leaving his sight one second. He sighed anxiously, remembering the moment Chis fell from that tree, and all that blood… He shook his head trying to forget the unpleasant scene.
He suddenly heard a few faint moans. "Chris?" Martin tightened the grip on his hand, when finally, he started coming back to the world of living.
Chris groaned as he looked up at his brother with half opened eyes. "Martin, wh-" he gritted his teeth at the intense sharp pain in his head.
"Easy there, bro." Martin leaned the back of his hand on Chris' bandaged head, but backed up when he flinched at the contact. "Sorry," he sighed.
A moment of silence…
"How are you feeling?" Martin asked with hesitance.
"M'head hurts," Chris muttered, slowly sitting up in bed, the heavy headedness not helping much.
"Thought so, Aviva suspects a concussion… Hey, look at me for a sec?" Martin squinted his eyes, observing Chris' pupils, that's when a sudden look of worry painted his face.
"Martin?" Chris gave him a confused look.
"Chris, your pupils are wider than usual, that means you might have a pressure in your head," Martin sighed, giving him a sad look.
Though, just as he sensed panic rise up in his brother, he put a comforting hand on his shoulder, smiling reassuringly.
"But don't worry, Aviva says if this happens you gotta stay awake until the pressure passes, since you might feel a little sleepy."
And as if Fate wanted to prove what he was saying, Chris suddenly yawned, almost abnormally, before looking at his brother with sleepy eyes. "Speaking of sleeping…" Chris mumbled while rubbing his eye, strange exhaustion taking over.
Martin's eyes widened, knowing he couldn't let his brother fall asleep, not on his watch, not under any circumstances. He then tried thinking of something, as in improvising, before having a lightbulb moment.
"Say, bro…" He positioned his seat closer to the bed, leaning his arms on the matress. "Remember the time we went out in the creek on our own?" He grinned.
Chris gave him a surprised yet amused look. "How could I forget?" He chuckled, the memory flashing before his eyes…
Flashback
It was an early Saturday morning, and two young brothers were sneaking out of their house, one green and one blue, swiftly making their way to the creek not far from their backyard.
"Hurry up, Chris," whispered the nine year old. "M'coming," let out the five year old.
They skidded to a stop at a narrow, sheltered waterway - the water glimmering from the sunlight reflecting off its surface - wanting to get accross it and to the other side, where they hoped to find cool creatures to hang out with.
Martin looked around before spotting something. "Look, Chris! We can get accross by jumping on those rocks," he said, pointing to a trail of rocks connecting the opposite side to theirs.
"Okay!" Chris nodded happily. And after being signaled to stay put, he watched his brother swiftly jump on each rock and get clean accross the waterway, not breaking a sweat. Then he turned around and called for him. "You can come over, now!"
Cautiously, Chris followed the same trail as Martin, taking a little longer as he was much younger than him, his little five year old feet losing more and more precision with each jump, until he ended up slipping on the last rock and falling on his back, landing in the mucky water and getting a bruised knee in the process.
The little boy instantly cried out in pain as Martin rushed down in the water and knelt by his side, he sniffled and held onto his hurt knee, heavy tears quickly escaping his eyes.
"I-It hurts! sniff," he managed with shaky lips.
"Here, let me have a look," Martin offered, tenderly tending to his wound. Chris flinched at the contact, but it was enough for him to catch a glance of a reddish mark on his knee.
"It's not so bad, we just need to get it cleaned and patched up. Let's head back home before mom and dad realize we're gone," he said reassuringly, forcing a chuckle which helped Chris tremendously. He wiped away his tears before looking at his bro with needy eyes, extending his arms.
Martin knew what he wanted. He reached out to grab him in his arms, lifting him off the ground and on his back, piggy back style.
"Hang on!" He let out as he prepared to run back home, Chris holding on as tight as he could. And just like that, they found themselves heading back home, Martin running with the speed of light.
End of flashback
The Kratt brothers cackled at the memory, Chris seeming to be less tired than before, which brought a sense of satisfaction to Martin.
"Oh, I still remember mom's face when she found out we went out without permission," Martin chuckled.
"Told you we should've stayed in the backyard," Chris laughed in turn, not noticing Martin stealing a small glance of his eyes, a perturbed look on his face… The backyard!
By instinct, another memory flashed by.
"Remember when we found that hurt bird in our backyard?"
Chris looked at him, as if taken by surprise, but then a wide smile spread accross his face.
Flashback
Two young boys' laughs filled the Kratt family's house backyard. There they were, young Chris and Martin, playing around like the ten and six year olds that they were.
"You can't catch me!" Chris laughed, dodging Martin's arms, who intended to capture him in a hug.
"Oh yeah?" Martin leaped for it, emprisonning his brother in a tight bear hug.
"Let go!" Chris demanded, trying to escape, while Martin chuckled.
"Martin, stop teasing your brother!" They suddenly heard their mother's voice call out from inside the house and Martin reluctantly let go of his brother, dropping him on the ground.
"Hmph," Chris groaned, getting back on his feet before shooting Martin a death glare, but he just grinned in response.
At that moment, they heard a weird chirping noise coming from behind some buiches. They looked at each other, then followed the source of the sound, until they eventually stumbled upon-
"A bird!" Chris gasped, pointing at a tiny blue bird laying on the grass near their backyard tree, not looking in shape. Martin knelt beside the vulnerable creature, examining it.
"Hmm, looks like his wing's hurt," he said.
"Aw, is he gonna be okay?" Chris asked, a sad look on his face. Martin looked up with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, go get me an ice cream stick from the fridge and a bandage." Chris nodded, dashing off inside the house.
Moments later, he returned with the needed material, and…with a mouthful? Martin rose an eye brow.
"What? I can't let a good ice cream go to waste," he muffled, before gulping down the icy goodness, earning a slight chuckle from his brother.
Martin then turned to the injured bird, slowly reaching out with one hand while holding the stick with the other, gently lifting its fragile wing and parallelically pressing the stick on it. Next, he grabbed the bandage and cautiously wrapped it around the wing, making sure to tie it properly at the end.
"Done," he wiped the sweat off his forehead, filled with satisfaction.
"Alright! Way to go bro," Chris cheered, but then he looked down at the bird… "Now what?"
"Now, we need to get him back to his nest," Martin pointed at a small nest hanging from a tree branch. Then, at his bother, he smiled confidently. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking, bro?"
Chris beamed, almost bouncing from excitement. "I think I'm thinking what you're thinking!"
And before they knew it, Chris was standing on Martin's shoulders, holding up a small basket, that they attached to a long stick, with the bird in it. Determined, Chris stretched out his little body and, with the help of his brother who was practically standing on his toes, got the basket close enough to the branch for the bird to finally hop off and safely land in his nest.
"Woohoo!" Chris cheered, making his brother lose balance and sending the both of them crashing on the ground in a pile. They broke into laughter as the bird started chirping again, this time sounding a lot happier. The brothers got on their feet and contemplated the petit creature. "Nice work, bro." Martin complimented, ruffling his brother's hair.
"Thanks," Chris smiled, hugging him. Martin gladly returned the hug.
Then, a thought dawned on the youngest. "Hey, we didn't even name him!"
Martin looked at him, then went into thinking mode. "Hmm…"
"How about Icey?" He heard Chris suggest. "What do you think?"
He looked down at him with a smile. "I think it's a perfect name…and that you ate too much ice cream," he teased, a smug look on his face.
"Hey!" Chris let out, slightly offended. But quickly laughed it off with his brother as they watched their new friend, back living free and in the wild…
End of flashback
"It was a successful creature rescue, I'd say," Chris chuckled.
"And you got to name an animal for a change," Martin teased. "I'm still better at naming, though."
"Hey, come one, it was a good name!" Chris let out in defense, yet couldn't help but laugh at the thought.
"If you say so," Martin smiled warmly, satistied that his attempts of keeping his brother awake were successful.
Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a familiar picture on the desk; he and Chris, both teenagers, side hugging in front of their highschool, the older boy wearing a graduation uniform: it was Martin's graduation picture.
He smiled, one final souvenir rushing through his mind.
"Remember when you wouldn't let me leave for college?" He gave him a smug look, Chris' attention turning to that same picture.
"I was- not so happy about you leaving home," he laughed nervously, almost embarrassed from his past self.
"I could tell," Martin chuckled.
They remembered it like it was yesterday…
Flashback
It was the last day of Summer, and that could only mean one thing-
"Martin's leaving for college, tomorrow!" A fourteen year old Chris complained while staring at his calendar, he groaned in frustration as he threw himself on his bed, not wanting to accept the fact that his older brother, his best friend, was going to spend the entire year away from him and his family, and the year after, and after… The thought made him want to scream!
He couldn't believe Summer had gone by so fast, but now he had to face the reality. He slowly got up on his feet and started heading downstairs, where he found Martin packing the rest of his stuff, seeming overly excited and enthusiastic.
"Boy, I can't wait to go to college and get my own dorm and learn all sorts of cool things about animals and-" he stopped when he realized Chris was standing near the living room entrance, looking at him longingly.
However, Martin wore a casual smile. "Hey, bro. Need anything?"
Dead silence. Martin straightened up and looked at his brother up close; he could've sworn his eyes were getting watery… Was he about to cry?!
"Umm, Chris. Are you-" Before he could finish his sentence, he found himself trapped in his brother's embrace, his arms wrapped around him tight, as if he was never letting go.
Out of shock and confusion, he looked down at him to find his face buried in his chest. "Chris?" He cautiously placed a hand on his head, but then he could hear quiet sobs escaping him.
Genuinely concerned for his brother's well-being, Martin gently grabbed Chris' face and looked him deep in the eyes. "Brother, what's the matter?" His voice was soft and caring.
Through heavy tears that made his vision blurry, Chris faced his brother with pure sincerity. "I don't want you to leave!"
"What?" Martin raised an eyebrow.
"I don't want you to spend the whole year away from us!" That phrase clarified everything for him.
Gently, Martin grabbed Chris by the shoulders and gave him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, bro. I won't be gone forever you know, there will always be holidays and-"
"But you won't be my best friend anymore, and you might even forget about me!" Chris' voice cracked.
"Forget about you? No way that's gonna happen," Martin let out, almost amused by how silly it sounded to his ears, but the way his brother felt was one thing he took very seriously. "Chris…"
Chris sniffled and looked up with glassy eyes. "Huh?"
"No matter what happens, no matter how far apart we are, you will always be my best friend, 'cause we're a team, and we'll always be."
Sensing the sincerity in his words, Chris couldn't help but hug his brother even tighter. "Thanks, bro." He let out, weak.
Martin hugged back, letting the warmth of the embrace sink in.
He would always be there for his brother, always…
End of flashback
"You really did give me a hard time getting in my car," Martin teased.
Chris simply rolled his eyes, but deep down he was just as amused.
A moment of silence, during which Martin got another look at Chris' eyes, this time, to his relief, he found that his brother's pupils were back to normal.
He breathed a sigh of relief. "Looks like the pressure passed," he informed Chris, who was just as relieved.
"Finally! I'm really tired," he yawned while rubbing his eye.
"You get some rest, you've had a rough day." Martin said, squeezing his shoulder before getting up to leave the room.
"Hey, Martin…" He immediately turned around. "Thanks," Chris gave him a smile of gratitude.
"…No problem, bro." Martin whispered, wearing a comforting smile, before exiting the room, leaving his brother to get the rest he needed, but he was already feeling better, all thanks to the caring brother he had.

Well, I said I was going to write it. I said I was going to write a sad, tragic one shot that didn't have a happy ending. And I did.
Fair warning! This fic contains blood/gore, violence, weapon use, disease, rapid progression of said disease, and major character death. I completely understand if you can't read it. If you do read it, I hope you like it!
