fuck it. one of my best friends got into a car accident less than 24 hours ago, she's not doing fine. Wilbur just confirmed that he is infact the abuser and made a really bad apology, he was someone I loved dearly and there goes my trust. abuse is up and running here again (not even considering Shelby's experience), everything is going downhill. I dont even know what Im going to do now. I made this blog because I found intrest in it's content (especially Wilbur Soot's) and now this blog is useless. Wilbur betrayed everyone, so many people confided in his content and he turned out to be such an awful person. he downplayed his actions only to not even make a apology, just an excuse. Im so fucking done with life. I wanna continue writing stories on here but the person I subjected as a character and comfort was outed as a person who abused and didnt even properly apologize for it. I keep imagining his face and the word 'abuse' but it still doesnt match up. It feels like a damn fever dream. I would genuinely love for me to just wake up and realize this was all a nightmare and Shelby wasnt abused by him. Take some time to let go if its getting too hard for you. Know it wasnt your fault and that you didnt support him, you just supported a man who gave you comfort. People have seemed to let him go because he's a bad person and yet I know some people including me cant right away. This is all I genuinely have to say because I might not be back here for a while. Being brave postibg this, but its been rattling around in my head and I want to let it out.

One of my vices is MCYT fanfiction (specifically SBI & associate/hermitcraft)

And a trope that ive seen rarely and crave very much is just. RFP wilbur soot being kind of a creep.

Problem is though, is I want him to be a CREEP, but not a predator and its very hard to find that dynamic. I like when this fucked up lil perverted characterization of him is creepy and pushy in a way but to (more or less, dubious is okay in my book) consenting parties. No one is saying no, if anyrhing they want more, but it still raises their hair on end.

Creep wilbur making those who arent shy about sex hesitate and fluster in the moment

Creep wilbur taking hold of the situation and enacting dominance when there wasnt originally a power dynamic like that

Even creep wilbur when not in that zone is hesitant, anxious and second guessing himself until the flip switches

Whoever hes with squirming and a bit uncomfortable but NOT wanting to get away. Hesitant but NOT unsafe. Vulnerable but NOT being abused.

I will need to write more about what it is about the fannonization of RPF wilbur that makes me want to see more of this from him in private. hopefully even find the roots of that facination and stop associating it with him.

a look at c!wilbur in relation to ‘eight’ by sleeping at last

wilbur saying on stream that ‘eight’ by sleeping at last was inspiration for his character is just...heartbreaking. god wilbur soot youve done it again. (fyi this post is all /rp so i dont have to put c! in front of wilburs name every time)

“I was just a kid who grew up strong enough / To pick this armor up / And suddenly it fit”  this in relation to wilbur hurts like nothing else. if everyones willing to take tommy and tubbos age into consideration for their characters can we talk about how wilbur was 23 during the fight for l’manberg. twenty three. he was so young and put that aside to fight for his freedom. he grew up to fast to put on a brave face for fundy (whos age in canon is a little questionable but is still at the very least younger than wibur) and tubbo and tommy and even eret to an extent. 

“Now you won't see all that I have to lose / And all I've lost in the fight to protect it”  wilburs character is very interesting in the fact that he seems to have a genuine kind of backstory. we all take the piss out of sally but if you think about it, the story of sally means that somewhere along the lines wilbur met a girl, fell in love, and lost her. he canonically smokes and drinks (even before pogtopia if i remember correctly) and was well versed in drugs. that implies so much, especially with this line. wilbur has lost a lot, and hes jaded because of it, which leads into:

“I won't let you in, I swore never again / I can't afford, no, I refuse to be rejected” wilbur can’t loose, not again. he lost sally, he presumably had a failing relationship with his father because of the offhand remarks phil and wilbur have made along with the fact that phil was never mentioned until he showed up (obviously OOC this is because phil wasnt on the server but i digress). he can’t loose l’manberg, not after loosing sally, erets betrayal, and loosing one of his lives along with his comrades lives. he can’t. 

“I want to break them right and feel alive / You were wrong, you were wrong, you were wrong / My healing needed more than time” wilbur canonically struggles with substance abuse and mental illness. that first line almost feels self-harmful in a sense, breaking yourself to feel alive. he is deeply wounded and the peacetime after they won independence, or the time before war was declared, wasn’t enough to help heal his deep mental and emotional problems. the “you were wrong” line feels almost like a child trying to argue against their parent, which hurts in the context of phil and wilburs canon relationship. 

“I was little, I was weak, I was perfect, too / Now I'm a broken mirror” wilbur’s decent into “villainy” to me was simply wilbur’s mental health taking a turn for the worse. he didn’t believe he could get better so he simply let himself fall into the deep end. sure, he used to be young and weak, but he was perfect then too. now he thinks he is too far gone, so he embraces being angry and evil in an attempt to feel something, to feel like he’s at least playing a role. 

“I can't let you in, I swore never again / I can't afford to let myself be blindsided” this line in relation to eret’s betrayal and wilbur’s paranoia is another stinger. first betrayed by eret, than by quackity (most people don’t remember this but wilbur confided his election plan to quackity and quackity betrayed him by using this knowledge to sneak in his ballot), than he believed fundy betrayed him, and his spiraling mental health slowly lead him to think everyone asides from maybe tommy was against him. he refused to get help, to let others in, because he couldn’t face betrayal again.    

“And all I want is to trust you / Show me how to lay my sword down / For long enough to let you through”  wilbur was hurt and betrayed and traumatized and had no support system to keep him afloat. he wanted so badly to trust others but in his paranoia he couldn’t put down his sword long enough to let others, like niki tommy tubbo and even quackity, help him. 

“I'm just a kid who grew up scared enough / To hold the door shut / And bury my innocence” similar to the first lines of this song, wilbur is incredibly young to be a general in a war and a president. he buried his innocence in order to survive but ultimately it made him cynical and that coupled with loss and betrayal ruined him. 

the song ends on a happy note, with the lines “I'm shattered porcelain, glued back together again / Invincible like I've never been” but wilbur’s story sadly doesn’t get a happy ending. wilbur’s character, ultimately, is a tragedy. he was a war-torn man with mental health issues driven to the brink and no one was able to pull him back. the juxtaposition of this last line compared to wilbur’s ending is incredibly poetic, and whether that was purposeful on CC!wilbur’s part, or simply coincidental, is still amazing. i never saw wilbur as the villain, simply a deeply hurt person, and i feel like this song really highlights that.

MCYT god AU! :)

Hey there! Ive been working on an AU for MCYTers for a few days, here are the results of 3 am thinking:

This AU is based off greek mythology, with each character representing different aspects of life, from either humanity or nature. The backstories for these guys aren’t fully fleshed out yet, so I would very much enjoy input!

Characters I have thought of so far:

Wilbur Soot, god of poetry. I chose poetry over songs or music, and over politics, because I believe poetry is sort of a middle ground between the two.

Technoblade, god of battle/war. This one is sort of obvious, although I felt the need to clarify, he is not the god of strategy. While technoblade is great with strategy, there is another person I want as the strat god, and I dont want too many repeats. He is also most well known for his PVP skills, and a little less for his strategizing skills. (Even tho the potato war was awesome)

Philza, god of the skies. Gotta admit, this one is less creative, but I dont watch philza’s content as much, and his iconic elytra paired with his hat that kinda looks like rays of sun, so thats what I went with.

Tommyinnit + Tubbo, gods of emotion/morality. These guys are the dynamic duo, and I wasnt about to make tubbo god of bees or something, that would have been boring. Tommy and Tubbo are like the angel and devil on your shoulder, Tommy being the devil and Tubbo being the angel.

Dreamwastaken, god of strategy. This one is probably as obvious as Technoblade’s, he is known for his skills in quick thinking and planning ahead.

TheEret, god of redemption. No, I love him too much to have him be the god of betrayal, plus we got another betrayal god later on. He had a redemption arc (or is still in the middle of it, I honestly dont know this is all so complicated), so he is the god of redemption and forgiveness.

ItsFundy, god of destruction. To be clear, he is not only the god of destruction. I want his character to behave like the hindu god, Shiva, meaning yes he is the god of destruction, but also the god of reincarnation and rebirth. From death blooms new life.

Nihachu, god of compassion. You guys already know, how could I not make her the god of compassion? She’s, like, the nicest person on the server, and has tons and tons of compassion. However, this does not mean she has compassion for everyone. Mostly for her friends and allies, and if you hurt them, you’ll have hell to pay.

Georgenotfound, god of h o u s e (I dont have a character for him yet)

Sapnap, god of betrayal. Literally every single alliance or team he joins, he eventually betrays in one way or another for his own gain. C’mon guys, do I need to make this any clearer?

Jschlatt, god of corruption. Pretty obvious, I mean he is a corrupt tyrant who exiled beloved citizens from their own country after they tried to run agaisnt him.

Quackity, god of retaliation. He was abused, and now his abuser is going to have to face the wrath of not only himself, but his friends too. Just like with niki, he’ll have hell to pay.

Not quite sure about the others yet, so gimme ideas! Prompts! 3 am thoughts! It gives me serotonin ;-;

wilbur was already angry towards fundy since before the election result, just because fundy didn't like what President Soot was doing for L'Manberg, bc guess what? Fundy separated his private life from politics, which wilbur never did

Fundy never heard about this btw, the only part that he heard was Tommy, President Soot's vice president, telling on his face that the only reason Fundy wasnt kicked out from the country was bc he was wilbur's son. So, it makes sense he wouldnt like being is this position

Also, I mean, Schlatt, Manberg Dictator, asks Fundy what are his connections to Wilbur. Let's remember what Schlatt did to Wilbur's friends, shall we?

Wilbur and Tommy - Exiled

Niki - Jailed and had abusive taxes forced onto her to the point she lost everything

Tubbo - Schlatt never trusted him, and, in the end, Tubbo went out with a bang

Now, until that question, Fundy did everything to turn away the suspects over him. He burnt the flag so no one would have doubt that he was on Manberg side while he worked as a spy. Schlatt actually almost caught Fundy twice with the diary, so any step should be calculated. Fundy wanted to take schlatt down from the inside, and, if he told Schlatt that he was the son of the rebel leader, he would be out of the country with a little bit more than a bang. Call that Fox Hunt: The Prequel.

So yeah, fundy had his reasons for L'manberg's greater good, and wilbur didnt communicate since way before he started his spiral :)

wilbur gave you a frown. “thats not all, i know it. you dont have to go into detail if you dont want to but i know thats not all of it.”

you looked down and bit your lip. he was right, your childhood was far more sad.

“i’ll tell you, but are you sure you want to hear it? its, super sad.” you said, finally meeting his eyes. he nodded, taking one more bite of his food.

“trigger warning for abuse, substance abuse, suicide, and just straight up sad shit. well, my dad was a woman beater and a cheater; i watched him beat and cheat on my mom numerous times, i basically was the reason my parents split, my mom and sister were alcoholics who took their anger out on me -- never physically, though. we always lost our houses because my mom spent her money on liquor, weed, and cigarettes, i watched my sister try to commit suicide multiple times, i tried it myself, and i had no friends.” you told him, picking at your food -- you knew its not what wilbur was expected.

wilbur sat across from you, stunned. “holy fuck y/n i-- im sorry you had to go through that.” he said softly, a frown on his face. you shrugged. “i cant change the past.”

but inside, you were hurt. you hated your childhood.

“we can watch a movie or something if you want...” wilbur offered, sensing your sorrow. you smiled at your roomate.

“sure.”
