Seems to be a bit of a problem with the art community that some artists don't realize people come in different shapes,

I saw a post on here how this person had entered a painting I think of their wife in a competition and a judge took em aside and said they'd have one but the foot was wrong and they should work on that and they had their wife take off her shoe and show the judge her foot that was exactly as pictured (can't remember but I think her one foot was smaller then the other)

Sometimes I'm sad I've never been able to do these sorts of things,

Then I read these stories and am glad that my arts always just been mine and those I share with

I’ve been sketching and painting again for something to do lately between screen breaks.

And I just now realized that my art teacher was wrong. I didn’t suck at drawing anatomy. It just so happened I was using my anatomy as a reference, so of course all the joints looked wrong and like they were in the wrong place. I was accidentally documenting my hypermobility and getting scolded for it 🫠

@professorcalculusstanaccount, thank you for doing the promotional/cover art of the story!! I would also like to thank them for bouncing ideas with me and subsequently proof/beta reading chapter 1 ― they’ve been very supportive and encouraging.

While I was unable to post on the actual dates I set up due to some personal reasons on my end, I will *hopefully* have it out sooner or later.

As a sort of teaser 2, here’s the first 101 words of The Budgerigar Burglars by @professorcalculusstanaccount and me, Jo :> !

Tintin was Bobbie’s most expensive drunken purchase.

He can’t remember much from the night he got the cockatiel, much less how he got his name― he just woke up with a pounding headache one morning, to a bird singing showtunes in his ear, in the dilapidated state of their (once shared) apartment.

Recalling past events, it was the night they’d finally settled for the divorce; his then wife was packing her belongings, planning to head off to who knows where and Bobbie was drinking enough spirits that could turn him into a spirit, if he kept at it for too long.

When the full thing does come out, I plan post it on to AO3 and post a link to the fic here on Tumblr.

Hii lord of the potatoes i wanted to say that i love ur oscar design because he looks like me if i were a grown adult man and i recently found out im a trans guy so he is very future transition goals for me. he may have actually been one of the reasons i decided to come out and say it to myself because i went “i wish that were me” and then i went “that could be me.” so ty for gender identity discovery moment and ty for the art of the pretty malevolent men i hope you have some nice soup and perhaps find a nice song to listen to this week <3
