Hak
Tumblr media
The wind shrieks around you, a relentless force that makes your every step feel like a battle. Snow pelts your face, tiny shards of ice biting into your exposed and icy skin. Your breaths come out in short, ragged puffs, visible in the freezing air. You can barely see Hak through the wall of white, his broad frame just a dark outline against the snowstorm.
How did the two of you end up here? You were supposed to collect a few logs of wood for princess Yona who felt cold in the castle, a pretty standard task both of you normally complete within two hours.
Normally, when there isn’t a snow storm brushing against your body so harshly that you’re barely able to stand.
Your legs are growing heavy, the snow swallowing your steps, but Hak moves with determined ease, his hand gripping yours tightly in order for you to keep his track. Every time you stumble, he steadies you with a firm pull.
“Don’t slow down,” he grumbles, his voice rising above the roar of the storm.
“We can’t stop out here.”
Oh, you surely try. But at this point, it feels impossible. The cold is gnawing at you, your fingers and toes numb despite your gloves and boots. Another gust of wind pushes you sideways, and your legs buckle. Faster than your muscles are able to react, your knees give in and race towards the even colder snow underneath.
Before you hit the ground, Hak’s arms are around you, strong and unwavering.
“Hey,” he says, crouching slightly to meet your eyes, his face barely visible beneath the snow clinging to his hair and cloak.
“You okay?”
You nod weakly, even though your body screams otherwise. You’ve never seen this much worry in his eyes, not when it comes to you. As one of Yona’s servants and the best female swordswoman walking this country, he never really had to concern about you. But now, with your lips turning blue, your teeth shivering uncontrollably and that emptiness that starts to fill your gaze, he can’t help but pull you closer. Why did you decide to wear that stupid dress for a stroll outside mid-December anyway?
“Just… cold,” you manage to press out.
“Cold?” he echoes with mock amazement.
“You don’t say. And here I thought you were just taking a nap in the middle of a blizzard.”
His teasing grin doesn’t quite reach his eyes, though. They’re scanning you, sharp and assessing. Are you still well enough to carry on? What will he do if you faint right here and now?
Without waiting for an answer, he scoops you up in his arms. Almost instantly, a new-found wave of heat rushes straight into your cheeks when his hand squeezes your waist, his arms almost swallowing you whole. Fuck, you hate that he does that to you, you hate the effect Son Hak has on your otherwise strong body. You never thought you’d fall for a man, never turned your head for a single male individual that came to the kingdom in order to propose to you. But Hak?
You gasp in protest, but he doesn’t even flinch at the weight of your body inside his arms.
“Stop arguing. You’re not walking in this condition. And no, you’re not heavy.”
“I can walk,” you grumble, though your trembling limbs betray you.
“Sure you can,” he replies, sarcasm dripping from his tone.
“Right into hypothermia. Let me handle this, alright?”
Hak strides forward, the storm battering against him as if it’s trying to force him back. And him? He’s solid, his body a barrier between you and the worst of the cold. Every step is deliberate, each movement steady despite the snowdrifts reaching up to his knees. You hate that you can’t help but admire that bastard who managed to get stronger than you when you were only 6.
Finally, he spots a massive tree with low, snow-covered branches forming a natural canopy.
“That’ll do,” he mutters, adjusting his grip on you as he pushes forward.
When he reaches the tree, he sets you down gently against the trunk, brushing snow off the spot before you sit. His coat is off in an instant, and before you can protest, he wraps it around your shoulders.
“Hak, no,” you mutter, your teeth chattering.
“You’ll freeze-”
He silences you with a look, one eyebrow quirking upward in that signature way of his.
“Don’t start. I’ve survived worse than this. You? Not so much. Just stay put. Or do you want to keep me warm?”
You open your mouth to argue, but the look in his eyes, steady and serious, stops you. Instead, you huddle deeper into his coat, the lingering warmth from his body spreading through the fabric.
“I’d rather die”, you lie gruffly.
Hak raises an eyebrow, his grin spreading slowly, almost devilishly.
“Oh, really?” he teases, his tone dripping with amusement.
“Is that so? Because from where I’m sitting, you’re practically burrowing into my coat like a squirrel getting ready for hibernation.”
Hak kneels in front of you, his hands working quickly to untangle a scarf from his bag while that dirty grin is still plastered onto his face. He wraps it carefully around your neck, his calloused fingers brushing against your chilled skin. The contact sends a spark of warmth through you, awakens that heat inside your body you never fail to miss whenever he touches you by accident.
“There. Better?”
You nod, but your shivering doesn’t want to stop. He clicks his tongue, clearly unhappy with the situation, and without warning, sits down beside you. His arm wraps around your shoulders, pulling you firmly against his side.
“Maybe there’s no way around me keeping you warm, brat”, he comments with a sly grin his whole side pressing against yours.
“What are you doing?” you shriek, even as you instinctively lean into his warmth.
When was the last time you were this close to Hak? Were you ever this close to him?
“Keeping you alive,” he replies simply, his tone matter-of-fact.
“It’s kind of my job.”
“You’re not my babysitter but princess Yona’s,” you mumble, though you don’t pull away.
He chuckles, the sound low and comforting despite the raging storm.
“Oh, really? Could’ve fooled me.”
For a while, the two of you sit in silence, the storm howling around the tree but not quite reaching the small pocket of shelter you’ve found. His body is solid and warm against yours, his cloak spreading out to cover you both. Every so often, he adjusts it, ensuring not even a sliver of cold air gets in.
“Look,” he announces eventually, nodding toward the horizon. The wind shifts slightly, and you catch a glimpse of the snow-covered landscape beyond the tree. It’s bleak, but there’s a strange beauty in the endless expanse of white.
“It’s kind of peaceful,” you admit, your voice quieter now, the cold stealing your energy.
“Peaceful,” Hak repeats, snorting.
“Only you would find peace in a blizzard.”
You glance up at him, noticing the way his eyes soften as he looks at you. There’s a fondness there, mingled with his usual exasperation. Is this…affection? You’ve seen the way he looks at Yona while your eyes were glued onto him a thousand times and never failed to wonder if he’ll ever look at you the same way. With those almost soft eyes, his mouth slightly opened, his face only inches away from yours…Are you dreaming?
“You’re unbelievable, you know that?”, he murmurs into the wind.
“I try,” you reply, managing a small smile.
Hak shifts, pulling you closer as another gust of wind shakes the branches above.
“Stay awake. No nodding off. You do that, and I’ll start telling bad jokes to keep you conscious. Your call.”
You groan, burying your face in his shoulder despite your heart almost skipping a beat.
“Anything but that.”
He laughs, the sound rich and warm despite the cold.
“Thought so.”
The warmth of Hak’s laugh lingers in the air, curling around you like the faintest hint of spring within the frozen storm. He shifts slightly, his arm still securely around your shoulders, and leans in just a little closer - close enough that you can see the snowflakes melting in his dark hair, the faint smirk playing on his lips while you forget to breathe.
“You know,” he begins, his tone taking on that familiar teasing lilt that always makes you both want to smack him and listen intently.
“I think I deserve a thank-you for saving your life. Again.”
You snort softly, your breath visible in the cold air.
“A thank-you? For saving me again? I can’t remember a single time you’ve had to save me. Don’t push it, thunder beast.”
He arches an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed with your lack of gratitude.
“Thunder beast, huh? You’re lucky I’m too much of a gentleman to leave you here for the storm to chew on.”
“Gentleman?” you echo, scoffing.
“Since when?”
“Since the moment I decided not to make you walk in that ridiculous excuse for winter gear,” he quips, nudging you lightly with his shoulder.
“Seriously, were you planning to duel the snowstorm with that dress? Or were you just hoping to look so pathetic I’d have no choice but to save you? Or…did you hope I’ll take it off for you?”
Your cheeks flush—not entirely from the cold—as you glare up at him. Did he really just say that?
“I don’t need you to save me. And I don’t need you to take off my clothes”, you retort stubbornly.
“Sure, you don’t,” he agrees easily, his grin widening.
“But you do need me to keep you warm.”
He shifts again, pulling you even closer until your sides are flush against each other.
“Not that I’m complaining. I could get used to this.”
You roll your eyes, but the warmth of his body and the teasing tone of his voice make it hard to stay annoyed, let alone calm down your thundering heart.
“If you’re so warm, why don’t you go out there and finish gathering the wood?” you challenge.
“Oh, I could. But then who would you snuggle up to when the storm gets worse?”
“I’m not snuggling!” you protest, pulling back slightly, only for another gust of wind to blow through, forcing you right back into the shelter of his side.
“Uh-huh,” he replies, looking entirely too pleased with himself.
“Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. It’ll be our little secret. To be honest, I’d love to be your little secret.”
“Hak-” you start, intending to argue, but he cuts you off with a sly grin.
“Relax. If you wanted to be close to me, all you had to do was ask. No need to freeze half to death for an excuse.”
Your jaw drops, heat rushing to your face as his words sink in. You sputter, trying to come up with a comeback, but he just chuckles, his voice rich and warm, as if he’s already won.
“See? Speechless,” he teases, leaning back against the tree as if this entire situation was the most natural thing in the world.
“Guess I really do have that effect on you. Not that I didn’t notice the way you’re looking at me already.”
You narrow your eyes at him, trying to muster some semblance of control over your expression, but his grin is too infectious, his presence too comforting despite the storm raging around you. Finally, you let out a resigned sigh.
“You’re insufferable,” you mutter, leaning your head against his shoulder despite yourself.
“And you love it,” he shoots back without missing a beat.
You don’t reply, but the small smile tugging at your lips while you snuggle even closer to him says enough.

Shin-Ah
Tumblr media
The blizzard roars with a cruelty that shakes the trees lining the mountainside. Shin-Ah sits quietly near the entrance of his cave, his dragon eyes piercing the white chaos outside. Snow swirls violently, carried by the howling wind, blanketing the landscape in an unrelenting storm. He’s used to the solitude of this place, the stillness that comes with living so far removed from others, but tonight the storm feels… different.
A nagging feeling tugs at his chest, a restlessness that keeps his gaze fixed on the swirling snow. Something is out there. Or rather, someone.
Then, through the blinding white, he sees it: a faint, staggering figure. At first, he wonders if it’s his imagination, a trick of the storm his mind plays on him all over again. But as the figure stumbles closer, barely a shadow against the blizzard, he knows it’s real. He watches, heart pounding as the figure collapses into the snow and stops moving entirely.
Shin-Ah doesn’t hesitate. Without a second thought, he grabs his thick fur cloak and bolts out into the storm. The snowdrifts are deep, the wind nearly throwing him off balance, but he presses forward. His boots crunch against the ice, his cloak flapping violently behind him as he approaches the fallen figure.
When he reaches you, his breath catches in his throat. Your body is half-buried in the snow, your skin pale and lips an alarming shade of blue. Your clothes are soaked and unsuitable for weather this extreme, offering little protection against the icy cold. You murmur something faint, your voice so weak it’s swallowed by the wind.
You’re…you’re a woman, the most beautiful creature he ever laid his eyes on.
Shin-Ah drops to his knees, his arms sliding under your limp body as he lifts you effortlessly. You’re lighter than he expected, your frame alarmingly cold to the touch. His grip tightens instinctively, his heartbeat thundering in his chest.
“You’re safe now,” he whispers, even though you can’t hear him.
He turns and strides back toward the cave, his body shielding you from the worst of the wind. Snow clings to his cloak, to his hair, but he doesn’t stop until you’re both inside, away from the storm’s wrath.
Who are you? And how did you end up here?
When you’re senses slowly but surely become yours again, the world feels… muffled. Warmth wraps around you like a cocoon, chasing away the bone-deep chill that had consumed you. What happened last? Weren’t you out frantically looking for a shelter in the cold? But why? Why did you leave the safety of your house? Because your brother, your father…Your father…
It takes effort to open your eyes, your body still heavy with exhaustion. Because something horrible happened back home, because you were supposed to die next. You had no choice but to leave everything you knew and loved behind.
The flickering glow of a fire dances against the rocky walls of a cave, casting long shadows. How did you end up here?
It’s then you notice the weight against you. No - around you.
A strong arm encircles your back, pulling you gently against a broad chest. The heat radiating from him is overwhelming, but it’s the only thing keeping you from freezing again. You shift slightly, your head tilting up to see the person who saved you.
A man, to be exact.
His golden eyes meet yours, wide with worry and a hint of relief and shock. His face is partially obscured by a mask, but the parts you can see - his pale blue hair, the soft curve of his jaw, the glint of his eyes from behind that mask - are striking. He looks… ethereal.
“You’re awake,” he declares, his voice quiet but filled with unmistakable concern.
Your lips part, but no words come out at first. Your throat feels dry like the desert, and your mind is sluggish as you try to piece together what happened. Memories of the storm surface -its cruelty, your body failing against the cold, and then… this man. He saved you, right?
“Where am I?” you manage to whisper, your voice raspy.
“My cave,” he answers simply, his words hesitant, as if unsure how much to say.
“You were in the snow. I… found you.”
You shift slightly, wincing at the ache in your limbs. The fur cloak wrapped around you smells faintly of the woods, and its warmth is comforting. As your body continues to defrost, the reality of your situation sets in. You were alone in the storm, and without this stranger’s intervention, you might not have survived.
“You saved me,” you mutter softly, your voice tinged with awe.
He nods, but his gaze drops, as though he’s embarrassed by the admission. A complete stranger around your age just saved you?
You shiver involuntarily, the cold still clinging to your edges. Without thinking, you press closer to him, seeking out the warmth he offers with the chaos that occupies your mind. His body stiffens slightly, his golden eyes flickering with something you can’t quite name, but he doesn’t pull away. Instead, he adjusts his hold on you, his arm tightening around your shoulders as he pulls the cloak more securely around you both.
“Don’t let go,” you whisper, your voice barely audible.
His eyes widen, surprise flashing across his features. For a moment, he looks as though he might speak, but instead, he nods, his grip on you firm and steady.
Did you…just ask him to hold you? You, that foreign but stunning girl he just met? To be honest, he didn’t have the chance to greet a lot of females those past years.
But none of them were as stunning as you. None of them made him take off his mask, let alone force him to stare for hours.
“You’re still cold,” he murmurs, his voice soft, almost shy.
You don’t answer, instead nestling deeper into his warmth by instinct. The steady beat of his heart beneath your cheek is soothing, a rhythm you didn’t realize you needed until now. You haven’t felt this safe in a long time.
As the minutes stretch on, the tension in his body begins to ease. His hands, large and calloused, adjust the cloak again, and his movements are careful, almost tender.
“Thank you. For saving me.”
He meets your gaze, and for a moment, you think you see a faint blush dust his cheeks, though it’s hard to tell in the dim firelight.
“You… shouldn’t have been out there,” he replies, his tone laced with quiet worry.
“I didn’t expect the storm,” you admit.
“I was trying to make it to shelter.”
His brows furrow slightly, and he glances toward the cave entrance, as though still wary of the storm beyond.
“You’re safe now,” he mumbles, his golden eyes meeting yours again.
The warmth of his arms, the gentle crackling of the fire, and the safety of the cave create a bubble of peace you hadn’t thought possible after the chaos of the storm. Slowly, your eyelids grow heavy again, but this time, the exhaustion feels manageable – bearable, even tolerable with his warmth wrapping around you like a blanket.
“Stay,” you murmur, your voice tinged with sleepiness as you clutch the edge of his cloak.
His eyes soften, and though he says nothing, his arm around you tightens ever so slightly.
“I’ll stay,” he whispers after a moment, his voice so quiet it’s almost lost in the crackling of the fire.
And as you drift off, warm and secure in the arms of this stranger, you can’t help but feel like you’ve found something more than just shelter from the storm.

Jae-Ha
Tumblr media
The storm hits hard, the sea turning into a thrashing beast of dark waves and biting wind. Snow whirls through the air, sticking to the decks and the sails of the pirate ship as it rocks and creaks against the violent ocean. Jae-Ha stands near the prow, his sharp emerald eyes scanning the endless horizon of white and grey. Huh, what an unpleasant surprise. He was never able to enjoy the gashing wind of white, especially while being out on the dark sea.
The captain barks orders to the crew, their voices rising above the howling wind as they secure the rigging and steer the ship away from the worst of the waves. But Jae-Ha’s focus is elsewhere. Something feels off today, the way the shore in the distance moves feels so foreign.
It’s then he sees something - or rather someone. A small, fragile figure hovering unsteadily on a drifting piece of wreckage, bobbing dangerously close to the jagged rocks.
“Captain!” Jae-Ha calls, his voice slicing through the storm like a blade.
The captain turns, her face grim.
“What is it, brat?”
“Someone’s out there,” Jae-Ha replies, pointing toward the figure.
The captain hesitates, glancing at the churning sea and the relentless storm.
“The waves are too rough. It’s suicide to go out now. Even for you.”
Jae-Ha’s smile is sharp and determined as he steps toward the ship’s edge.
“Fortunately for them, I’m not particularly afraid of a little danger.”
Without waiting for permission, he leaps into the air, his dragon’s leg propelling him high above the waves. The cold wind cuts through him, but he doesn’t falter, his gaze locked on you.
You’re barely clinging to the broken plank of wood, your fingers numb and stiff from the freezing spray. Your body is drenched, the cold seeping into your bones, and your strength is fading fast. Each wave threatens to drag you under, and you’re starting to think this is it.
Oh, you definitely didn’t expect your life to end like this. Just yesterday, you knocked on that door asking for work before ending up as a prisoner ready to get sold.
Is this really how your life ends now? In that cold sea you normally love so much looking at, the ocean you long for each and every night, now your ice cold grave?
Then, out of nowhere, a shadow appears above you. A man descends from the sky like a vision, his green hair flowing wildly in the wind, his piercing gaze locked onto you. Before you can process what’s happening, strong arms wrap around you, lifting you effortlessly from the icy grip of the sea.
“Got you,” he comments, his voice warm and steady despite the chaos around you.
You barely manage to look up at him, your vision blurry and your lips too cold to form words. He holds you securely, his body radiating warmth, and you can’t help but lean into him as your consciousness fades, forcing you straight into sweet nothingness.
When you wake, the first thing you notice is the warmth. Soft blankets are wrapped around you, and a flickering lantern casts a warm glow over the small cabin you’re in. The sound of muffled voices and the creaking of a ship’s hull reaches your ears, and the faint smell of salt and damp wood lingers in the air.
“Ah, so you’re finally awake,” a smooth, teasing voice declares.
You turn your head and see a man – without any doubt, the one who saved you from that cold sea. He’s sitting beside the bed you’re lying in, his long legs crossed gracefully, his chin resting on one hand as he watches you with a playful smile.
“Where…?” you croak, your throat dry and your voice weak.
You’re still feeling too weak to even think properly, the cold still sitting in your core.
“You’re on the Sea Dragon,” he replies, leaning back slightly.
“A pirate ship, if that doesn’t scare you too much. Though I’d say you’ve been through scarier things lately.”
The memories come rushing back - the storm, the waves, the freezing cold. You shiver at the thought, and his smile softens.
“Easy there,” he coos, leaning forward to tuck the blankets more securely around you.
His hands are warm, his touch surprisingly gentle for someone with such a commanding presence and piercing gaze.
“You’re safe now.”
You blink up at him, taking in his striking features. His green hair falls loosely around his shoulders, and his violet eyes are both sharp and kind. There’s a mischievous glint to him, but beneath it lies something deeper, something steady and reassuring.
“Thank you,” you manage to say, your voice barely above a whisper.
He chuckles softly, the sound rich and comforting in your still echoing ears.
“No need to thank me. It’s not every day I get to play the hero. Though I must say, you certainly know how to make an entrance - floating out there like some tragic damsel in distress.”
His tone is light, teasing, but there’s genuine concern in his gaze as he reaches out to brush a strand of damp hair from your face.
“You’ve been through a lot. Just focus on warming up for now”, he continues with a soft tone lacing his seductive voice.
As he speaks, he pours a steaming cup of tea from a kettle on the small table beside the bed. He holds it out to you, his movements graceful but deliberate.
“Here. This should help.”
You take the cup with trembling hands, the heat seeping into your fingers. He doesn’t look away, his watchful eyes ensuring you’re steady before he releases the cup.
For a while, the two of you sit in silence, the storm still raging outside but feeling a world away within the cozy cabin.
“Why… did you save me?” you ask eventually, your voice small.
Back in your hometown, nobody really cared for something apart from your looks. You were always expected to marry one of those stinky officers, the most disturbing man living on this earth. To be honest, you would’ve rather died on there on the sea than marrying a man who beats a woman just for the fun of it. But that man sitting next to you…Does the sparkle in his eyes mean that he genuinely cares?
Jae-Ha’s smile softens, and he leans forward slightly, resting his elbows on his knees.
“Because I could,” he replies simply.
“And because no one deserves to be left alone out there.”
There’s a sincerity in his voice that catches you off guard, a vulnerability beneath his teasing exterior.
“Dying out there on the sea would have been better than getting sold to one of those disgusting officers”, you blurt out before you can stop yourself.
Jae-Ha’s eyes widen slightly at your outburst, the corners of his teasing smile faltering. For a moment, his playful demeanor slips, revealing a flicker of anger - not directed at you, but at the cruel fate you narrowly escaped. He heard rumors about beautiful girls getting kidnapped and sold, how they got ripped out of their homes straight into slavery and old men’s beds. How much he hates them, how badly he wants to hunt them down and kill them for doing…
His gaze meets your still haunted eyes, your empty expression. No, this isn’t the time to think about something like that.
Then, just as quickly, his grin returns, though softer and less sharp this time.
“Is that so?” he muses, his voice warm and low.
“Then I suppose I’ve done more than save your life - I’ve rescued you from a fate far worse than the sea’s cold embrace.”
He leans closer, his intense gaze locking with yours.
“You’ve certainly had quite the adventure, haven’t you?”
His words carry a touch of humor, but there’s no denying the genuine concern in his tone. He reaches out again, his fingertips brushing a damp strand of hair from your cheek. Oh, if he only knew what a mess your life was until now.
Until now? Your eyes lock with his out of instinct, take in that easy grin that rests on his face. Even though you don’t even know that stranger’s name, he surely feels better than that miserable fate that was ahead of you. Maybe, just maybe…
You’re safe now.
You find yourself sinking deeper into the warm cocoon of the blankets, the heat from the tea in your hands finally reaching your core. Despite the lingering fatigue and the faint tremor in your limbs, you feel safer here than you ever did back home.
Jae-Ha studies your expression, his smile taking on a softer, almost fond quality.
“You’re quite the mystery, you know. And I’d love to hear the full story someday. But for now, let’s focus on getting you back to feeling human again.”
You nod weakly, your eyelids growing heavier by the second. The warmth, his soothing voice, and the rhythmic creaking of the ship are lulling you into a much-needed rest. As your grip on the tea cup slackens, Jae-Ha deftly takes it from you, setting it aside with practiced ease.
“Don’t fight it,” he murmurs, his tone softening even further.
“You need rest. And I’ll be here when you wake up.”
“Promised?”, you mutter.
“Totally promised, fine lady.”
You barely register his words as sleep overtakes you. Your body shifts slightly, instinctively seeking out the closest source of warmth. Before either of you realizes it, your hand finds his, your fingers curling weakly around his as you drift off. Your head tilts, leaning toward him, and before long, you’re nestled against his arm.
Jae-Ha freezes for a moment, caught off guard by your unconscious closeness. His expression softens further, a mix of amusement and tenderness playing across his features.
“Well, aren’t you full of surprises,” he murmurs to himself, his voice barely audible above the muffled storm outside.
Carefully, he adjusts his position, allowing you to lean against him more comfortably. He pulls the blankets higher, tucking them securely around you, his movements uncharacteristically cautious. As your breathing evens out, Jae-Ha leans back slightly, watching you with an expression that’s unusually serious for him.
“Rest easy,” he whispers, his voice almost lost in the gentle creak of the ship.
“No one’s going to hurt you now.”
And despite the storm raging outside, the cabin feels like the calmest place in the world.

The snowstorm came down on you with an almost vengeful fury, battering your body with icy wind and stinging flakes of snow when you only went out to find medicine for your mother. Each step is a struggle, your limbs growing heavier by the second. The forest path is long gone, erased by the blizzard’s wrath, and all you can do is press forward in the hope of finding shelter. A warm place, maybe even a fire…
Your cloak is soaked through, its weak protection no match for the elements. Every breath leaves a sharp sting against your throat, and your vision blurs as exhaustion sinks deeper into your bones.
“Just… a little further,” you whisper to yourself, though the words barely reach your ears over the roar of the storm.
You don’t know how much longer you can last. But just when you’re about to lose hope, faintly, through the swirling snow, you see a light - a small, warm glow flickering against the white chaos.
Desperate, you stumble toward it, your legs barely holding you upright. Is it a cave, a little village, even? The glow grows brighter, steadier, and soon you see its source: a man holding a lantern at the edge of an enormous rock. His white hair gleams in the dim light, and his piercing blue eyes widen in alarm as they lock onto you.
What a strangely beautiful man, something you’re never seen before. Maybe he’ll be able to help you, maybe he knows a place where both of you can stay-
Before you can call out to him, your strength gives out, and you collapse into the snow.
“Hey!”
His voice is sharp with concern, and within moments, he’s at your side, kneeling in the snow.
You distantly feel his hands on your shoulders, warm and strong, as he lifts you into his arms. Normally, you’d protest vehemently against a stranger picking you up and carrying you like a bag of rice. But under this conditions, with your fingertips already numb from the nagging cold, you can’t help but nuzzle against his neck.
“You’re freezing,” he murmurs, his voice laced with worry.
“Hold on - I’ll get you somewhere safe.”
Somewhere safe, huh? While darkness stretches over you like a veil, you can’t help but imagine a warm bed near a fireplace with that stranger lying beside you…
When you come to, the first thing you notice is the crackling of a fire and the soft scent of pine. Warmth envelopes you, the biting cold a distant memory now. Your eyelids flutter open, and you find yourself lying on a bed of soft furs, a thick blanket tucked snugly around you.
“Awake at last,” a gentle voice says.
You turn your head to see the man from the storm. He’s seated beside the fire, his elegant features illuminated by its glow. His white hair cascades over his shoulders, and the faint markings on his pale skin catch the light, giving him an otherworldly appearance.
You fainted. When did you lose consciousness? How did you end up here?
“You gave me quite the scare,” he continues, his tone light but tinged with genuine relief.
“Where…?”
Your voice comes out hoarse, barely above a whisper.
“You’re safe,” he assures you.
“We’re in my residence, not far from where I found you. The storm hasn’t let up, but this place will keep you warm and dry until it passes.”
His words are reassuring, but your thoughts are still sluggish, the events of the blizzard a hazy blur in your mind. Your gaze wanders around the well-decorated room without a real aim, taking in the gorgeous sight of white dragons engraved into the ceiling above.
“You saved me,” you say softly, the realization dawning on you.
He smiles faintly, his gaze steady and kind.
“I couldn’t leave you out there. You were half-buried in snow by the time I reached you.”
He reaches for a steaming cup beside the fire and offers it to you.
“Here. It’s a medicinal tea. It should help warm you from the inside.”
You accept it gratefully, your trembling hands barely able to hold the cup steady. His fingers briefly brush against yours as he steadies it, the contact sending a strange warmth through you that most definitely has nothing to do with the tea.
“Thank you,” you mutter after taking a cautious sip.
He inclines his head, a soft flush coloring his cheeks.
“There’s no need for thanks. Helping others is… important to me.”
The minutes stretch into hours as the two of you wait out the storm. He tends to the fireplace with practiced care, occasionally glancing over to check on you. Despite the fierce wind howling outside, the well-decorated room feels like a sanctuary, the warmth of the fire and his quiet presence a balm to your frayed nerves.
Eventually, you find your voice again.
“Who are you?”
“My name is Kija,” he replies, his tone gentle but measured.
“I was passing through the area when the storm hit.”
He hesitates, his gaze dropping to the fire.
“I didn’t expect to find anyone else out in such conditions. But I watched you from the window and couldn’t leave you out there alone.”
You nod, still trying to piece together how you ended up here.
“I was gathering herbs. I thought I could make it back before the weather turned, but…”
A small, wry smile tugs at his lips.
“The mountains are unpredictable. You’re fortunate my village is nearby.”
His words aren’t boastful - they’re simply true. Still, you can’t help but feel a pang of gratitude for this kind stranger who had risked the storm to save you.
As the fire crackles on, the two of you fall into an easy rhythm of conversation. Kija’s calm demeanor and soft-spoken nature put you at ease, and you find yourself opening up in ways you hadn’t expected.
When another gust of wind rattles the small cracks underneath the window, you shiver involuntarily, the memory of the storm still fresh in your mind.
“Are you still cold?” Kija asks, his brow furrowing with concern.
“A little,” you admit, though you try to downplay it.
After all, Kija just opened up about him successor of something that is called the white dragon, a droplet of dragon blood that gave him the power of a dragon’s claw. He’s like a king in this village, a god to the people who look up to him. How did you never hear about the four dragons before?
Without a word, he shifts closer to you, wrapping the edges of the blanket more securely around your shoulders. His hand lingers for a moment, warm and steady against your arm.
“You’re shaking. Come closer to the fire.”
You hesitate, but the genuine worry in his eyes convinces you. He adjusts his position, leaving just enough space for you to sit beside him.
As you settle near the fire, his proximity sends a new kind of warmth through you - one that has nothing to do with the flames. You glance at him, taking in the way his features soften as he watches the firelight dance.
“Thank you,” you mumble again, the words feeling inadequate for the depth of your gratitude.
He turns to you, a gentle smile gracing his lips.
“You don’t have to keep thanking me.”
“I mean it,” you insist, your voice trembling slightly.
“If you hadn’t found me…”
Kija’s smile fades, and he looks down, his expression turning serious.
“You don’t need to think about that. You’re here now. Safe. That’s all that matters.”
Something in his voice - a quiet resolve, a protective instinct - makes your heart ache in the best way. Despite the storm raging outside, you feel more at peace than you have in days, maybe weeks.
For a moment, the two of you simply sit there, the silence between you filled with unspoken understanding. The fire crackles on, and outside, the storm slowly begins to ease.
Just like the storm inside you.

OH MY GOD SOMEONE POINTED THIS OUT TO ME THAT SEO DONG JAE AND HWANG SHI MOK ARE LIKE REMIXED ALTERNATE VERSIONS OF RYU SOO YEOL FROM BAD AND CRAZY AND HAN JOON HWI FROM LAW SCHOOL.
Tumblr media
LIKE DO YOU GUYS SEE THE VISION?!?!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like I just imagine that maybe in another reality Han Joon Hwi comes across this corrupted pathetic cop Ryu Soo Yeol that keeps slipping from his hands and Ryu Soo Yeol being annoyed with this pain in the ass sarcastic kid who thinks he's such a smart guy and looking down on Ryu Soo Yeol as if he's pathetic (he is lol)
They remind me so much of Hwang Shi Mok & Seo Dong Jae. Like we need this crossover! And also hints of Hwang Shi Mok being somewhat related to Han Joon Hwi or at least working with each other and Seo Dong Jae working with Ryu Soo Yeol at the beginning as corrupted ones. They give same vibes so.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Somehow things starts becoming odd with Ryu Soo Yeol acting crazy and Han Joon Hwi gets dragged along the journey when Ryu Soo Yeol is starting to discover more about himself and his past while Han Joon Hwi has to also deal with getting targeted and also trying to figure out why Ryu Soo Yeol sometimes acts really nicely with him (that's k then) and then again becoming his old self.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then Ryu Soo Yeol himself (when he's not K) starts becoming more naturally open with Han Joon Hwi who is surprised and he becomes more easier on him. Helping him especially when they start to discover about Ryu Soo Yeol's past. To think Han Joon Hwi who is rarely that friendly with anyone (only those he cares for) let alone someone corrupted like Ryu Soo Yeol is now actually being more soft and teasing towards him. Even helping him even when he's not sure who he should trust and what he should do. What in the world is happening?
Like ??? Guys I need this so bad. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IF SOMEONE MAKES THIS IDC IF YOU MAKE IT INTO A SHIP OR FRIENDS OR ANYTHING JUST TAG ME I NEED THIS!!!!

Metanoia
Synopsis: Shin Na-young a 28 year old marine biologist after finding out her fiancé cheated on her with her cousin Kwak Hee-mi, her heart broke into billions of pieces and she swore that if she had other relationships that she would not fall in love and she would break them before they would break her. She lost all faith in love, and she decides to drown her sadness and anger at a bar where she gets drunk and gets entangled with an important person in the business industry. She has a one night stand with the man and it’s then she realizes that she had a one night stand with her boss who owns the research that she works at. Her boss is automatically fallen in love with her, but she hasn’t so it’s up to him to convince her to give a second chance.
This is a story I’m writing as a project. I hope you like.
True love, a timeless and universal concept that everyone can relate to. But, love at times can be awful and painful.
I myself was in love once. I thought it was true love. I thought we were simply meant to be.....but I guess I was the only one living in a fool's paradise.
Because after I found both my cousin Kwak Hee-mi and my son to be husband Hyun Seung-hwan together in our house in our bedroom....I was heartbroken.
I called off the engagement and continued to pursue my career in marine science to try and forget about him....but no one ever forgets their first love.
Love is nothing but a joke, a feeling that will only break your heart in the long run. And now....my heart is as cold as ice.
Mercilessly turning men down or breaking up with them first before they ever get a chance to either hurt me or just grow tired of me.
A few months ago:
I had fish to fry once again. I already knew my current boyfriend Song Myung-bak was cheating on me with Hee-mi.
I was always one step ahead whenever I found out he was slipping up a few weeks ago. Today I was out with my ¹Seonbaes in the ocean near the port of Gunsan. Jae-seung and I were swimming around looking for the leatherback sea turtle.
"²YAH! YAH! JAE-SEUNG AH! NA-YOUNG AH!" Yelled Cho Chang-woo with worry as he was concerned for their well being.
"³Hyung! It's okay! Don't panic! They're wearing oxygen tanks, remember?" Spoke Do Won-Sul calmly trying to calm Chang-woo down.
"I know! But it just terrifies me that they've been underwater for so long looking for that damn sea turtle!" Replied Chang-woo with worry.
"Oh come on Hyung! Look at where we are! We're at the ocean! Relaxing with our Hubae who owns a boat! And might I add that it's a yatch! And she's letting us have it for a whole month's vacation! Isn't it exciting?" Replied So Kyung-ho with excitement as he reeled in a fish.
"Yeah Hyung! Come on in! The water is fine!" Spoke Hwan Hae-il and Yeo Jong-soo in a relaxed state as they floated in the water with their doughnut floats.
Chang woo looked at them all with an annoyed look. "We already work in the ocean you idiots! Y'all treat our job like an everyday vacation you lazy brats! Plus I'm not a big fan of the ocean which is why I worry for Jae-seung and Na-young!" Replied Chang-woo firmly.
"Yah! Jae-seung ah! Na-young ah! It's time for dinner!" Yelled Kim Kwang-min at the top of his lungs catching Jae-seung's attention.
Jae-seung hears Kwang-min calling them and he turns to Na-young signaling her that it's time to go in which she nods her head slightly whilst giving him a thumbs up. Jae-seung and Na-young explode out of the water flipping their hair back looking like a beautiful merman and mermaid.
"Come on Na-young ⁴ssi! Kwang-min Hyung made ⁵Gopchang-gui and ⁶Kimchi!" Spoke Jae-seung with a charming smile as he ran his hand through his Carmel brown hair.
Na-young only gives him a small smile. "Sorry Jae-seung....but I can't join you guys for dinner today. There's....something I have to take care of." Replied Na-young placidly as she put on some mini shorts and then she dried her long, flowy, wavy jet black hair with a towel.
Jae-seung and the other's look at her with furrowed brows. They all know exactly why she's leaving. They already knew that her boyfriend was cheating on her and they didn't want her to think about it, which is the reason why they asked her to stay with them. But she refused.
"Na-young ssi.......are you leaving because of him? He's-"
"Jae-seung ah....I know you and everyone else know about Myung-bak cheating on me with Hee-mi. But you must understand that I'm going there to end things with him and I won't have mercy on him. So don't worry about it too much, okay? After all, I do know self defense thanks to Young-jae oppa." She says with a small smile on her face.
"Na-young ssi? Young-jae Hyung is on the phone for you!" Spoke Hae-il casually as he pointed at the boat's phone.
"Seonbae....tell him I'll call him later.....I'll see you guys another time. Have fun on the yacht! Take all the time you need, there's no hurry." She says with a small smile as she gets on her motorcycle and she drives away.
"Na-young!-"
"Enough Jae-seung. She has to finish this on her own. We can't meddle in this affair even if we want to tear Myung-bak apart." Replied Chang-woo firmly with a sigh as he and the others went to go eat.
Jae-seung could only watch Na-young drive away. He clenched his fists tightly as he turned to join the others for dinner.
I knew what I was expecting when I got home. But somehow watching it all unfold right in front of me hurt so much but all I felt was rage towards these two scumbags.
I slammed the door to our bedroom open in which they both jolted in surprise. Myung-bak was under the sheets of the bed towering over Hee-mi who continued to act all innocent.
"Na-young! Baby! I-Thought you were-" but before Myung-bak could finish his sentence I violently slapped him across the face once making sure that it hurt like a bitch and left a big red mark on his face.
"CUT THE BULLSHIT SONG MYUNG-BAK! PACK ALL OF YOUR STUFF! I WANT YOU OUT OF MY HOUSE NOW!" I bellowed with fury as I looked at him with rage.
Myung-bak grabbed at his face as he stared daggers at me for slapping him. "WHY YOU CONNIVING WENCH! HOW DARE YOU-"
"I TOLD YOU THERE WOULD BE DIRE CONSEQUENCES IF YOU EVER CHEATED ME! YOU VIOLATED THE CONTRACT AND FOR THAT YOU MUST PAY SEVERELY!" I continued to bellow with rage. Hee-mi only smiled in amusement as she was enjoying seeing us fight.
Myung-bak still looked at me with rage. And he acted as if he didn't remember our dating contract. "WHAT FUCKING CONTRACT!? I DON'T REMEMBER EVER SIGNING ONE!" feigned Myung-bak acting as if he didn't remember about the contract.
"You really want to play this game? Fine! Here's a copy of the contract that you signed. Look at line 5 of the contract you simpleton." I replied firmly as she threw him the contract.
Myung-bak grabbed the the papers and he reads line 5 out loud. "Line 5. If a so -called boyfriend becomes unfaithful to party one (Shin Na-young) or what they (party one) think is unfaithful, party two (Song Myung-bak) must collect his things and leave. But before party two (Song Myung-bak) can leave he must also return everything thing they took from party one (Shin Na-young) with or without permission, this includes treasured valuables, expensive items, money, etc. party two (Song Myung-bak) will also stop getting assistance from party one (Shin Na-young) and their family on party two's (Song Myung-bak's) company and will be shut down immediately due to party two's (Song Myung-bak's) Malevolent ambitions etc. Therefore, party two (Song Myung-bak) is no longer associated with party one (Shin Na-young) nor party one's (Shin Na-young’s) family. WHAT!? YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!-"
"I JUST FUCKING DID! FOR FIVE PAINSTAKING YEARS YOU'VE TREATED ME LIKE SHIT! YOU HAVE A LOT OF DEBT THAT YOU OWE ME...SINCE YOU HAVE A LOT OF FREE TIME YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO PAY ME BACK BY THE END OF THIS MONTH. IF YOU FAIL TO DO SO, YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM MY LAWYER AND YOU KNOW HOW MERCILESS YOUNG-HO OPPA IS AS A LAWYER ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU MESS WITH ME HIS LITTLE SISTER." I bellowed with fury as I stared at Myung-bak with a cold glare.
"YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! IF IT WASN'T FOR ME! YOU WOULDN'T BE WHERE YOU ARE TODAY! YOU NEVER NOT ONCE PAID ATTE-"
"WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I WAS SICK FROM ANEMIA? WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I WAS STRUGGLING MENTALLY FROM MY DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY WITH ALL THE STRESS I HAD WITH MY OLD JOB? WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU WHEN I WAS DISCRIMINATED AND TREATED UNJUSTLY AT MY OLD JOB!? I WAS THE ONLY ONE TRYING IN THIS ONE-SIDED RELATIONSHIP! I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO REMEMBERED OUR ANNIVERSARIES! I TRIED TO SPICE UP OUR LIFE BUT YOU WERE TOO BUSY PLAYING FIND THE CANNOLI WITH THIS BITCH! WHEN YOU HAD SOMETHING ALWAYS TROUBLING YOU I WAS THERE! YOU MADE ME MISERABLE AND LIKE AN IDIOT I STILL LOVED YOU..... AND NOW LOOK AT WHAT I'M DOING RETURNING YOUR KARMA. DOESN'T FEEL GOOD BEING TREATED THE WAY YOU TREATED ME NOW DOES IT? THAT MUST SUCK FOR YOU. YOU HAVE 12 HOURS TO GET ALL YOUR THINGS AND GO BEFORE A DEMOLISHING COMPANY COMES AND DESTROYS THE HOUSE." I growled with fury as I continued to give him a cold indifferent glare.
"YOU RUINED EVERYTHING! I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS!" Growled Myung-bak as he then reached for my neck when suddenly he was thrown back to the wall crashing into it.
I turned around and saw my eldest brother Young-Jae breathing heavily with rage. Young-Jae oppa is an MMA fighter and he punched Myung-bak in the gut so hard that it knocked him out.
"O-OPPA!" I yelled with shock as I saw my eldest brother seething with rage.
"NO ONE LAYS A FUCKING FINGER ON MY BABY SISTER! ESPECIALLY A PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A MAN LIKE YOU! GRAAAAH!" Growled Young-jae as he charged towards Myung-bak grabbing him by his collar and punching him violently in the face.
As Young-jae was about to punch Myung-bak once more. I stepped in and grabbed onto Young-jae's arm trying my best to stop him from delivering the blow.
"OPPA! STOP! HE'S NOT WORTH IT! LET'S GO HOME! PLEASE!" I yelled desperately trying to calm him down.
Young-jae looked back at me as I gave him a pleading look and he sighed heavily in defeat. He drops Myung-bak on his bottom and then he turns to look at Hee-mi who continues to look on with a mocking smile throughout the whole ordeal. This enrages my elder brother even more but I step in with my back turned to him as I give Hee-mi an icy indifferent glare.
"Awe! What is it cousin Na-young? Are you angry because I keep ruining your relationships? It's not my fault they think you're nothing but an ugly potato and a worthless nobody. It's not my fault that I'm so beautiful and most wanted of all." Smirks Hee-mi smugly as she twirls a few strands of hair with her fingers.
"YAH!" Bellowed Young-jae with a wrathful expression.
I held up my hand to stop my older brother from trying to tear Hee-mi apart as I looked back at him with a death stare. Young-jae only sighed and nodded his head. I turned my attention back to Hee-mi.
"Kwak Hee-mi...you only ever brought me pain and I'm sick of it. To say I tolerate you is a vast overstatement. For 8 years you kept tormenting me and I still don't why but I won't let a cheap expired coupon like you try to bring me down again. The only reason I let you get this far is for more of the reason to expose you." I reply firmly as I now grab Hee-mi's hair and I pull her hair down in which Hee-mi begins to panic seeing how freakishly strong I am.
"This is my one and final warning that I'm giving you....back off before you really wreck yourself! And I'll tell you this right now, you keep this up and you're really going to see what I'm made of and I won't have mercy! You're the reason why the gene pool needs a lifeguard." I replied indifferently as I threw Hee-mi back violently to the wall. She looked terrified.
I then turned on my heel and walked away from the house. Young-jae glowered at Hee-mi as he began to smirk smugly. "Mind her words Kwak Hee-mi....She's not the old Na-young you used to know. If she wanted to.....she could have kicked your ass now but unlike you she's a classy woman." Young-jae laughs at Hee-mi in mockery.
Young-jae then turned his attention to Myung-bak. "And you asshole! You better do as my sister says! Return everything that belongs to her and I mean all of it! You got less than 12 hours or I will personally be the one to annihilate you! UNDERSTAND!" Growled Young-jae as he threatened Myung-bak.
Myung-bak only nodded his head frantically as he hurried to get everything ready. Young-jae only laughed and walked away. Hee-mi only glared daggers at him. "Damn you and Na-young! I'll get y'all back! You'll see!" Thought Hee-mi to herself as she slammed her fists on the bed.

Last episode!! One hour and twenty-nine minutes; that is not an episode, that is a full movie.
***
Drag his ass.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
***
OMG NO
Tumblr media
I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING.
***
Oh, he meant in the office, not initially.
Tumblr media
***
Oh, thank goodness. You better not die now!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
***
Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Tumblr media
All of you are going down.
***
I can't believe this is actually going to work.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
***
LMFAO
Tumblr media
***
LOL, OK, so this was pretty funny 😂😂
Tumblr media
***
Really?
Tumblr media
I was honestly expecting it to be Won Jung Soo's father. He seems like the final villain type.
***
Oh, goddamn it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He shot Park Tae Jin with Jang Jae Gyeong's gun 😭😭
This is why you don't go into strange basements with drug dealers and serial killers.
***
OK, so they at least put the right person in prison.
Tumblr media
***
Well, after all this hell, that could have been worse.
Tumblr media
***
Eh? So the father is the final villain??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then why did Park Tae Jin lie about being the one to kill him with Yoon Ho?
***
Ah. So it was Park Tae Jin working on the Chairman's orders.
Tumblr media
But Park Jun Seo was also a dumbass for walking into this obvious trap. What did he think was going to him in the middle of the night on the ninth floor of an abandoned construction site except getting murdered?
***
LOL, Oh Yoon Jin should be satisfied.
Tumblr media
***
Aww, he gave the money to the kid and his grandma 😢
Tumblr media
***
LOL, product placement again.
Tumblr media
***
I must say, it was refreshing to watch a drama where there was zero romance between the leads and all we got was genuine friendship.
Tumblr media
***
THEY OPENED THE E-WALLET!
Tumblr media
Pity it's all drug money that will have to be surrendered to the government, but maybe they will get a percentage as a reward 😂😂
***
Beautiful 💙
Tumblr media
***
Well, this is done! Some parting thoughts.
IT WAS A HAPPY ENDING!!
Honestly, I am shocked and surprised that happened and that the body count was actually much lower than I anticipated.
2. I am not too happy with the ending, seeing as both the major villains were brought down by a nonsensical villain monologue in which they confess their crimes.
3. In spite of the ending, this drama is EXCELLENT and easily the best thing I've watched in years. I loved it so much and don't regret my binge-watch at all, in spite of all the work waiting for me that is important and I haven't even touched yet.
4. This was better than The Devil Judge.
5. Will definitely watch any future Ji Sung dramas I can get my grubby hands on! The man is gorgeous and excellent at what he does. He is easily one of my favourite actors right now.
I warmly recommend watching this!

Hello, I think requests are open.
I saw the list of animes you write for.
What do you think Jaeha, Zeno and So-woon(Akatsuki no Yona) reaction to a S/O who's a goddess more ancient than the dragons and uses human form to travel for a long time yet lose her memories every century as protection mechanism she placed on herself as she keeps doing the mistake of holding mortals too dear then falling into grief whenever they die, now she's thinking of turning them to a fellow god(privilege that can given to a god's soulmate only) after they die and she's finally willing to go back to heaven and restore her full memories?
OH MY GODDESS!!
Synopsis: The reader is an ancient God who travels as a human, but every century loses her memory to protect themselves. Now, she's debating on turning her love interest into a god to return to heaven with her.
Note: I made this have any obsessive love because when most people meet a god(ess) they'll want to worship them in my opinion. Deities have that effect on people.
Pairing: Jae-ha x female! reader, Zeno x female! reader, Soo-Won x female! reader
WARNING(S): slight obsession, angst in Zeno's part
Links: AKATSUKI NO YONA MASTERLIST, NAVIGATION
JAE-HA
BEING THE WOMANIZER he is, Jae-ha has come across his fair share of pretty faces; but he didn't expect a goddess to be one of them. It was evident that you were from the heavens, blessed with ineffable amounts of beauty and an ambiance just as tempting. It was no surprise the man would look to pursue you.
It's decided; he shall join you in the afterlife. As your one and only, to bask in your beauty and grace until the sun touches the horizon. Somehow you managed to sweep the playboy off his feet in record-breaking time, although that's supposedly his job. It was almost embarrassing how fast he accepted your proposal, so much so that a deep red tinge can be seen dusting his cheeks. Never had he been so enamored with a woman, one way out of his league at that.
Now the memory aspect has piqued his interest. Relationships are precious, insightful even, so why would you want to forget them? Regardless, he respects your decision. Yet over time, Jae-Ha soon realizes he'd rather you lose all memories that don't include him. After all, he's a bit jealous of all the experiences you may have had with your past lovers, and he'd rather not have any more competition than needed.
“Oh my, I believe it's that time, isn't it? Let us go to the heavens above where we shall become one. Unfortunately, I don't think I can take the anticipation much longer darling.”
Tumblr media
ZENO
A REAL LIFE GODDESS in the flesh? Woah, this must be his lucky day. Like with most things in life, Zeno is ecstatic. Through the many centuries he's lived, not once has he been graced with the presence of a deity such as yourself. Beautiful doesn't begin to describe the beauty that endowed you. It was as though he was looking a fairy tale princess right in the eyes. Various compliments spilled from his smiling lips faster than he could account for. If he was feeling even the slightest bit of shame you had not noticed.
This being your human form enticed him to dig up the real you. He would hate to k now you're hiding anything from him. You are not obligated to unveil what you desire not to, but he'd rather bask in as much of your authenticity as "humanely" possible. Zeno is quite jealous of your ability to forget about the past, and until he met you he wished to do the same. Maybe then would he be able to start all over again and experience life one step at a time with you sticking closely by his side.
Zeno's dragon grants him the gift of immortality so dying is out of the question. He has lived to see many dragons come and go, greeted by death and to god knows where. It saddens him that even with his new powers he won't be able to fulfill your wishes. In the end, Zeno's purpose is to serve Yona and no one else. But only one woman can make his heart beat so sporadically, rendering him speechless each time they meet eyes.
“It's a shame, y'know? I really wish I could go with you and keep you company. Hah—!? Don't cry; we'll figure something out, I'm sure of it!”
Tumblr media
SO-WOON
SOMEONE SO POWERFUL should have never taken interest in him, but oh is he glad they did. A deity, from the heavens nonetheless, had come before him with curiosity at that. Just a short conversation with you proved how extensive your knowledge is. And from the sound of it, you were much older than many mythical beings of this time. So as one does, Soo-Won ponders ways to use that to his advantage, even if it meant deceiving you. However, that was before he put his plan into motion.
Soo-Won was destined to fall deeper and deeper into the alluring solace of the goddess he had merely hoped to use. Now, the man wished to undress her, uncovering every inch of her ravishing skin; so perfect and warm. He wished to taint her with his blooded hands so she could learn to love his true nature as he loved hers. He realizes his selfishness but he simply doesn't care. There shall be no lies between you two and he'll make sure of it.
He would long for nothing more than to be with you until his last breath, even if he does not deserve to. The sins he's committed should send him nowhere but the raging depths of hell. However, he will not lose you to those cocky bastards that resided above the clouds who were waiting to take his place. And he will never allow you to erase anything regarding your future, together for eternity.
“My beautiful goddess, where have you gone? I was worried sick; Hah...I'd thought those disposable fools had gotten to you. With your permission, I shall get rid of them in your stead.”

yona of the dawn ch 266 spoilers but please im going crazy
ok. i have to scream about this and know other people's thoughts. first of all, how many chapters are out in japanese? i'm getting conflicting messages.
[also obligatory "i was really scared and read super fast" so if im like getting something wrong, please let me know. im gonna reread tomorrow]
also i'm like. a mix of crying and frustrated. how are other people taking this??? personally, i like things that are more grounded, so the more dragon reincarnation drama there is, I'm already predisposed to not liking it as much. but after the kouren arc, i've been feeling like the tension and the general vibes aren't as good. like i was disappointed in the soo-won illness/backstory arc, but it's been winning me over.
but i'm like so confused about what's happening to the dragon warriors? did zeno sense that they were close to death and turn them into the monsters??? idk i feel like i don't like the twist that zeno actually didn't care at all and was waiting for the opportunity to die the whole time and everything was fake. i feel like it's not a twist i would do for yona, but maybe i'm blinded by my love of the characters. and i get that he'll probably be won over but like??? i feel like there would be some other way to solve with problem than this. it also just made their "deaths" feel so anticlimactic and horrible?? like i was still crying but im so confused and frustrated???
it's also felt like the dragons have been getting weaker in terms of how they're treated in the story. like it feels like they're constantly being beaten and injured super quick, and i feel like instead of adding drama to the story it makes them feel strangely out of place? like hak seems to be way stronger than them at this point.
idk i may have missed something or be judging too hard so i'd be interested in hearing what people think but i feel like this series i love is falling apart in a really frustrating and dissatisfying way. and im not just saying oh the death count, because i honestly didn't think everyone would live, but im just like. why are they doing it this way?? the focus isn't even on what it was in the beginning about saving the country, and they all got sidetracked after this one random mystery that ended up costing everyone their lives and i feel like i was crying at jae-ha's "Death" but it would have been more impactful if i understood what the hell was happening/if he wasn't dying because of something maybe zeno did???? like????
i like the idea of them losing their powers and choosing themselves to follow/help yona, because it is creepy for them to be forced to. but i feel like i would have done it in a different way? and if they really are all dead i think this method of death is less emotionally satisfying/anticlimactic. like jae-ha's death scene was done SO WELL and i was crying and i love the good bye, but i was so confused and frustrated by the method of how he was dying and not understanding it why he was a dragon thing, and it seemingly being for no reason or perhaps zeno's fault?
ok that's a lot and i didn't make this easy to read but ????? come on

Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale - A Fan's Journey (with spoilers!)
Ep 1-2
OH MY GOD THIS IS HILARIOUS. It's givinggg 2011-2013 Kdramas in the best way possible. Very well casted I might say, I've watched Pyo Yejin before and I've always loved her in every role I've watched her in so I already expected she was gonna nail this one too but it's my first time watching Lee Jun-young and omggg I LOVE him hahahahaha. He's so gorgeous, and the role fits him so well. Their chemistry is off the charts and it was going so well for the past 2 episodes that I was actually wondering, 'Wait, if they both like each other now, what about the rest of the episodes?' then BAM insert obligatory Kdrama fiancé. Which is hella cliché but the drama IS all about clichés so really it's just living up to it's expectations.
There's a thin line between cringe in a good way and cringe in a bad way and so far, this drama is in the good-o-meter lololol. We'll see tho in the next few episodes and dammit I'm excited. I do love my melo dramas and action packed thriller dramas but really I'm just a girl, I also crave cute, hilarious, weird sht every so often.
Ep 3-4
Can I address their names?? Hahahahaha. Cos Prince Cha min is hilarious and you kinda get it from the get go (Prince Charming = Prince Cha min) but Cinderella is a bit too Korean-ized that you don't get it until you've watched 3 episodes lololol (Just a theory this might be a stretch but Koreans put -nim as a suffix for jobs, titles, or relationship to show respect, ex. harabeonim (grandpa but probably not your own grandpa because adding -nim means that you're not that close), gisanim ("gisa"/driver is the root word, adding -nim is a polite way of saying it and mostly used when you speak directly to the person). So my theory is Cinderella 》 Cinder-nim 》 Cinder-im 》 Shin Jae rim.
Anyway back to the episodes, I looove that line about the reason why Jae rim wanted to marry rich because giiiirl I probably won't do it but I totally get it lolololol. Her ambition was revealed tho and it does not look good esp among the rich. It must've felt soo humiliating, and I can feel her pride slowly ebbing away. The ending WAS a total cliché but I loooove it, can't wait for more lol.
Also, can I just say Cha min's business is sooooo fun. It's exactly the type of business that we think about in our daydreams and when asked the question, "What would you do if you have a lot of money". Cos I'm totally going to build myself a playground for adults to have fun in, adults need it more than kids anyway.
Really happy for Jae rim and her painting, she's sooo good, I also wished she continued her passion, but I have high hopes for the next few episodes.
Ep 5-6
OH MY GOD THEY KISSED AAAAAAAAA. And I gotta say it was marvelous hahahhahaha—not the regular cutesy cutesy kissing scenes we normally see in cutesy cutesy Kdramas. Really just from the kissing scene alone I gotta give ep 5 a standing ovation lololol.
I totally expected Jae rim's visit in Do hong's studio to go horribly wrong but it's nice to be wrong for once hahahaha. We got to see his "weakness" and don't we just love to discover those? Makes the characters more human. Dan-a and Jae rim's face off tho 👀 Our girl totally held her ground with the line, "I had fun too. He's a very good kisser" YOOOOOOOOOO Imma tell you the way I gasped?? I was so gagged???
And the scene AFTER that, the way she bursted out her frustrations on Cha min and him not knowing what to do or what to say or how to make things right because in his point of view, he never meant to be cruel, everything he did was just self-preservation.
Ep 7-8
Hello??? I was so invested on that kiss and you're telling me it was a dreamscape?? Call the authorities, straight to JAIL. But on a more serious note, I love how her doubts and her fears of not being enough was easily eliminated by Cha min, and her voice over about being comforted by this was sooo heartwarming, the butterflies in my stomach won't stop churning!!
The ending was emotional but I gotta say, probably bcs we didn't get to have that many teary eye scenes so far, the scene with Cha min's mom just felt a bit I dunno, I didn't cry that's for sure. But I guess we weren't meant to cry, we were meant to feel for him and comfort him.
Ep 9-10
/sigh/ I think I just got diabetes. It was so sweeeet. Have I said Jun young is so gorgeous? Cos he's so gorgeous. I gotta tell you about 90% of the reason why I'm watching it is bcs I just gotta see him smile hahahahahahha. Happy ending all around, really cliché so I can see why some people might not like it. But I loooovee clichés, it calms my anxiety and it's sure to be a happy ending, what's not to love?
The thing about this drama tho, is it's very self-aware and doesn't take itself too seriously and I think that's part of the reason why it's so charming (pun intended). 10/10 cutesy ending I got what I came in for and I'm happy about that, satisfied customer here! Hahahahahaha

I just watched My Roomate Is A Gumiho and I can't even find any good gifsets to reblog to tell everyone what I just spent 16 hours doing over the last two days (between also sleeping eating and working).
Tumblr media
The thing is... it was a fun watch, but I'm not sure how much I actually liked it.
It was sweet and fluffy and the main leads had chemistry. I rooted for them. But I didn't think they were quite as interesting as they could have been. I think they got together too soon.
Maybe it was just not angsty enough in the right places. Like the whole premise was set up for maximum angst and maximum whump. Hes DYING? She might die SAVING him? She might get amnesia? Whaaaaat? But somehow it came off as if the characters always knew they were going to be fine. So big moments felt too minor and minor moments just came off as melodramatic.
(And believe me, I know Kdramas come with a heavy serving of melodrama... and I love that so much frfr... but the balance just seemed off to me.)
It also seems a bit like they set up some interesting plot points and resolved them way too quickly (like more of the serial killer gumiho plot, more consistency with the craving energy plot point... idk), while other plots dragged on too long (sorry no I don't care about a red string of fate tied to the wrong person, but you're doing the poor man an indignity and making me sick of him).
Tbh, it felt like people were just sitting around staring a lot, eating a lot, and drinking WAY too much until the next sudden realization. I think the plot just needed more development and ways to make the characters do more. At one point I thought "why didn't they make him be her teacher?" And then he got a job there and I was like "oh yeah here we go" but then even that was a little bit underwhelming
But I really liked the besties. Especially the chaotic mess of adorable that was Jae Jin and Hye Sun as the secondary couple. I would have liked to see Hye Sun and Woo Yeo hang out with Lee Dam, Jae Jin, and Soo Kyung...
