“I know, I know you don’t want Dada to leave but Uncle Thor is busy so I have to take his place.”

You huffed and crossed your arms. You would’ve been very intimidating if you weren’t tucked into your Daddies’ bed and wearing star pajamas. You would not be forgiving Thor for interrupting your cuddle time with Steve.

He kissed your forehead as another apology. “Baba should be back from his workout soon and you can cuddle with him until I get back. Here’s your Ellie elephant.” He handed you the stuffed animal. “Keep her company for me, okay?”

“Ellie mad at you too!” You made the elephant shake her chubby leg. “She say ‘bad dada! why you leave?’”

You and Steve burst into laughter at your joke. He knew you somewhat understood why he had to go. Your neediness just wouldn’t allow you to let him leave so easily.

Steve kissed both you and Ellie again. “Goodbye to the both of you, I really do have to go now.”

You made Ellie wave. “Bye bye, Dada! Miss you already!”

I think a core memory of mine was when I was 13 and reading a Marvel fic. The tags and the description had me thinking, 'Tony looks at Steve's sketch book and realizes Steve is gay.' Great premise, right. Wrong. That is not what happened because the drawing was of a little girl, and Steve was a pedophile.

Zemo reaches into his jacket and retrieves a photograph, not caring in the slightest that Bucky is so obviously to the point of breaking down into tears. He’d surely enjoy it. He hands Bucky the photograph, sliding it over to him on the table and— Bucky can’t breathe for entirely different reasons now. This is a picture of the most beautiful man Bucky has ever set eyes on. He’s rocked by the sight of this Steve Rogers.  The first thing Bucky notices are his tattoos and what seems to be an endless amount of ink covering his skin. Even donning a form-fitting, midnight navy suit, his tattoos peek out from the open collar of his crisp dress shirt and slip up his neck. They’re on the back of his hands too, dipping between what look like thick, capable fingers, a few of them donning rings.  The tattoos alone are enough to make Bucky’s mouth water. But he takes up space, even in this photo of him getting out of a well tinted SUV. His presence through the picture leaves Bucky breathless, as does his close-cut beard and golden hair that falls to his jawline, long and artfully unkempt. The hard look on his face keeps Bucky’s breath from him even longer, a set jaw and a stern set of eyebrows doing wild things to his stomach. He's aroused and honestly a little frightened by this man. "James Barnes— meet your future husband...”

Headcanon that isn’t particularly mine nor particularly a headcanon really:

Most of the characters having a crush on Captain America at some point, but when they get to know Steve Rogers…

They have a bigger and more real crush on him.

Because he is actually funny? And not only nice but good and not the embodiment of “virtue”? He curses and gets angry, is sassy and a lil shit.

A great artist too, like damn.

He isn’t what they thought Captain America was supposed to be, because that persona doesn’t really exist, he’s just a really good guy with a lot of issues too, like any other normal person, but at the same time really caring and understanding guy who is loyal to a fault.

(He isn’t the judgmental man from the 40’s they thought he was. He isn’t only nice because thats what he is supposed to be. He isn’t just propaganda personified).

Most of them would love to have known Steve when he was a tiny ball of anger who punched bullies, even when he was the only one losing every single time.

He’s just really charming and they don’t understand how he’s still fighting and wanting to make the world a better place when he already lost everything, more than once.

And that makes them want to better themselves too.

Of course Steve doesn’t see this and doesn’t understand why everyone wants to talk to him or wants to listen to him outside of missions. He’s just a guy from the forties that’s is too overwhelmed to process everything all at once.

Chapter Two of Red Collar Blue Collar!

In a world where indentured servitude never went away in the States, people are collared until they pay off their debts. Blue collars for debt that can be paid within their lifetime, and red for debt so high it can never be paid.

When he’s fifteen, Steve’s mother dies of cancer, leaving him with a pile of medical debt on top of what they already owed for his own illnesses. He is red collared immediately and his contract sold. Ten years later, Obadiah Stane buys him to try to curtail the antics of the irresponsible and flighty Tony Stark.

Making childrem have connectios for the only reason that it would be really funny to see their parents deal with that:

Roger Harlan first crush was ... Janice Palmer. And look at that: she also was his childhood best friend. And what is that? She didn't like him that way and was oblivous of his feelings most of the time. Now it was a first crush and Roger moved on. But we did have a specially taxing moment where Roger tried to confess when the whole Palmer familly (Cecil and Carlos included) where at the Torniquete and cringe failed as Janice called them good friends.

Earl got visibly upset about the whole situation wich was worse because it led to Cecil trying to cheer him up by saying "I know is hard to see your son upset, but is for the best it didn't work out because it would be kindda weird with she being my niece and the two of us being basically brothers just from different parents." and Carlos, who ofc was with his husband, also offering his emotional support and talking about how scientifically speaking most people move on from childhood crushes quickly and Roger would be fine and not even think about his previous feelings in the long run. It got to the point that Abby started feeling pity for him and interviened by asking to go personally thank the chef forcing her and Earl to go to the cerimonial chef greetings room as to remove him of the situation. Later Steve patted Earl's back sadly as Carlos was sharing his dessert with Cecil and being very coupley at the moment.
