i think so??? i tend to lean towards the people that are in leadership positions, even if they aren't outright leaders. people that take on some extra responsibility, i guess. like, yoongi participates really heavily in songwriting and producing for bts; the same is the case for woozi, in addition to being the vocal leader. hoshi is the performance unit leader, and both he and dino satiate my unreal thirst for cunty pretty boys that can dance and frequently put themselves in a position to teach others (see also: minho, hyunjin). hongjoong is ateez's captain, and then by virtue of being the mat-hyungs, seokjinnie and seonghwa are also kinda parenting everyone else, lmao. then, of course, we have head chef: kim mf mingyu, who svt may starve without, lmao.

holy shit this is definitely my favorite song of the month!!!

the entire song just screams F E S T I V E

the music video, choreography and outfits were all so amazing

and it’s only a pre-release

honestly I can’t wait for her album to come out

I love how she interpreted Spanish elements in this comeback

I love the tango part in the dance and when the hip hop dancers come out!!!

and at the end where everyone just comes out like it’s a huge fiesta!!

this song also has quite a lot of high notes but chungha’s voice gets a rest during the rap part

speaking of the rap part, her expressions during that is amazing!!

overall, definitely my favorite song of this month (maybe this year), its so colourful and festive and its perfect for summer!

IRENE & SEULGI: MONSTER

this song exceeds my expectations

when I first saw the teasers, I thought the song would have quite heavy edm and maybe some bad boy/peek-a-boo elements

while the song does have some of those elements, the entire thing is literally not what I expected

the music video is very aesthically pleasing and it reminds me a lot of a dreamcatcher mv

the mv was also delayed because I heard that they needed to edit some parts out. for example, someone said that if according to the teasers, there should be a scene where Irene stabs a doll with scissors but that part has been cut out I think

ngl I wanted seulrene to perform in the white corset outfits because holy shit those outfits s e r v e d

it also definitely proves that Irene is not just a visual, she’s a very talented rapper and singer so people need to stop seeing her as “red velvet’s visual”!!!

irene has sort of a husky voice like Jisoo’s, just not as deep

I also love Seulgi’s part after the first chorus?? she’s literally g r o w l i n g

as much as I love blonde Irene, why did they give her the wig dhshdhd I bet she was uncomfortable dancing in that

ahhhh I’m so glad she’s back!!!

I love this song a lot and somi seems more comfortable with it too!

at first, she looks nervous performing it but I can see her getting more confident through out promoting the song

and it’s definitely more different than “birthday”

personally I like this song more than “birthday” (but “outta my head” will always be my absolute favorite)

Hello!! Thank you for asking! I do have biases for both groups!

So for Ateez, my bias has changed a few times. My first bias was Seonghwa, then it changed to Hongjoong, but recently, Seonghwa came along and literally bias wrecked me, so now he’s my bias again (I don’t think I need to explain why lol). Also, Yunho has been a constant bias wrecker, but I’m not complaining!

For TXT, my bias changed a few times in the beginning, but after getting to know them more, Beomgyu became my bias. Ughhh I have so much love for this boy 🥺🥺 but honestly, this is a very hard group to choose a bias for. They’re all so amazing in so many different ways 🥺💗

Ateez , my fascination

So, here comes quality content: Ateez

My enthusiasm for Pirate King first seemed to be limited. It was not my style, I thought. But this happens more often the first time I listen to new songs. After the rooftop performance video of Pirate King somebody caught my attention: Park Seonghwa. I mean, look at him and his black hair. He looks so stunning.

At the beginning I didn’t think much about my new bias. Seonghwa was just perfection for me. He was beautiful.

Of course, there were the other members, which wrecked me. Normal daily base just like in every other group. First, Hongjoong was always another choice to be a Bias, so like Yeosang. Not later after Seonghwa, Hongjoong and Yeosang joined the bias group chat. And then it happened. The whole disaster, named Wooyoung and San. I was torn between two sides: Should I stay with my 3 bias or should take the whole group, so I’ll never have Bias Problems anymore?

I knew myself to well. I knew this is going to happen. I took whole Ateez as Bias. My friends thought that I was crazy and that’s true. I was. To 100% I was crazy about them. This “phase” went on just for a month. After that month I realized who won my heart from the beginning and will continue to have a future on the list. Seonghwa and Hongjoong, the older ones. So, I changed my Biaslist back to the two of them. I don’t regret it. Neither Yeosang nor Wooyoung or San.

Hongjoong

The funny story is, when I watched Pirate King for the first time, I fell in love with Hongjoong’s Voice. How he raps, moves, his appearance. He reminded me of Seungcheol from Seventeen. He has the same duality, as him, cute but also Daddy like. Also, he has the same or similar positions like him: Leader and Rapper. Back then I tried to deny my love for Hongjoong, because I freshly removed Seungcheol out of my Biaslist. It felt weird to have Hongjoong as my bias. After these thoughts gradually disappeared I took him finally as second Ateez Bias. Two months later Seungcheol came back more than never and he got into the Seventeen Biaslist again.

But what is so interesting about him?

Mostly I like Rappers and Leaders in groups. Sometimes dancers sneak in. We see that clearly, when we look at my Biaslist.

My Biaslist contains out of  50 male Kpop idols. 11 of those are leaders. 11 out of them are Rapper and also  11 out of them are dancers.

Maybe it’s the leading role they have, which fascinates me. They seem more masculine to me. I don’t really know either. I'll just take it for granted. But back to Hongjoong.

 Vibe and Height

What I love about him ist that he has this duality which I've mentioned before. Cute but also Daddy like. He works hard, looks after his members. This sort of things attracts me. I think its also kinda cute, that he is the shortest and the leader. For me it’s easy to have shorter bias, because they’re still taller than me or as tall as me (5”3). I don’t have any problems with that.

But he clearly stands out as a leader and couldn't be more perfect for this role.

Talent and Stage appearance

He is a hardworking bean. His rap parts and mixing skills are everything. From fast to slow, slow to fast.

What also makes me happy is that he is currently learning English. Idols who can speak English are more sympathetic to me (I think I can speak for other international fans too).

His stage appearance is very strong for a rookie. Whole Ateez has a strong appearance. Not every group has this strong appearance on stage. Not at the beginning.

Seonghwa

Like a said before: I fell for him when I saw the performance rooftop version video. His piercing look, his eyes, everything intimidated me.

When they came out with Say my Name, I was a bit disappointed at first, because they gave him blonde hair. Still, I’m not quite persuaded. I like the natural black hair on idols in general.

After a month in my Biaslist he went straight to the Ultimate Biaslist. He’s still there and that’s surprising me, because, now I’m focusing on Hongjoong.

But what is so interesting about him?

For me he was always so mysterious, and I think he still is. It’s the same with Leo from Vixx. I wanna know more about this guy and how he really is. At the beginning I thought he was the quiet one. He’s still one of the quietest ones, if you compare with Jongho or Mingi. But he can really turn up and be an extra ass if he wants. I never expected him to be this extra, if I’m honest.

Stage appearance

Besides Hongjoong he has the most powerful stage appearance I’ve ever seen. He’s feeling it, is passionate about it and knows what he’s doing. Oh, this boy knows what he’s doing. He’s driving every Seonghwa Stan crazy and not just even them.  On every fancam you will see him going off and feeling himself. It’s something that not every rookie has.

Why he has to stop

I’m really crazy about him. He has that special vibe, that not every bias has. I mean, even Hongjoong is a different story. Hongjoong feels more “normal” than Seonghwa. So that’s maybe why he became an Ulti. The more I look at him, I fall more and more in love with him. He’s more powerful than he thinks he is.

Of course, I thought about how I’d react when I’d see him for the first time in real life. And to be honest I’m not quite sure. Maybe I’d burst out in tears, cause auf his beautiful appearance or I’m getting all speechless. Maybe even both. I’ll never know. I’m just dreaming about it. As an international fan its really hard. Even harder as a European. And I know I’m not the only one being sad, even crying about how we will never see these idols face to face.

I wanna say him into his face, how beautiful, how talented he is and that he’d do what he loves to do. And the most important phrases would be:

You’re doing great, you do already your best and that’s enough for all of us Atinys. Don’t overwork yourself, Park Seonghwa. I adore you.

I tried my hardest to stay loyal to Seonghwa but it didn't work😭😭😭

Seonghwa is the one that got me into ATEEZ, just that 1 second clip when they were performing Say My Name at Idol Radio (most atinys know the one lol) and I was HOOKED... I needed to know who that man was and then needed to know MORE

I stayed loyal to him for about 2 years... But then Fireworks San came in like a FREIGHT TRAIN and wrecked me😭 I tried to fight it for a couple of months but just gave in and accepted my fate and started biasing both of them...

Then a couple months ago, Yeosang finally got to me... For WHATEVER reason, seeing him dance so effortlessly to Weeekly's Holiday Party sparked something in me and just completely took me over. I couldn't stop myself from falling for him😭

Honestly Jongho is starting to crawl his way up the list too... I'm an absolute mess when it comes to these boys😭😭😭

Tldr: I have 3 biases at this point (Seonghwa, San, and Yeosang) but any of the others could rearrange it in a heartbeat.

You know what, you love who you love. Ain’t no problem with that! I love both of those groups and my best friend her fav from BTS is also Jin. She calls him Mr. Worldwide Handsome (with the Broaaaad Ass Shoulders). I have a hard time picking between Hobi and Yoonji and Tae is definitely a bias wrecker for me. 

Looooovveeee me some Mamamoo. Hwasa literally owns my ass. Like…I aspire to be that much of a bad ass. 

For the guy groups, I don’t think I have an ult group but I really love: NCT 127, GOT7, Monsta X, EXO and VAV (they are so under appreciated imo). They’re the ones I keep the tabs on the most.

I’m not massively into girl groups outside of Mamamoo and Dreamcatcher. I have also listen to CLC a little as well. And I’ve got a couple of Blackpink’s stuff on my playlist but I’m just kind of meh about the rest of them. 

If I were forced into a corner and told I had to pick a bias for each group it would probs be:

NCT 127:Yuta (or Taeyong) Yuta is probably the closest I’ll ever get to an ult. I don’t normally assert statements like “I’d probably get along well with X IRL” but I would with him. (Johnny could also *** the fuck out of me and I tell him thank you the entire time so there’s that as well….)

GOT7: JB (although I have been feelin some type of way about BamBam and Youngjae recently) I think he’s arguably the most attractive man I’ve ever seen…and I’ve seen some gorgeous men in my life time. HOWEVER, if someone was like “you have to date one of them, who do you choose” if would be Jackson w/o a doubt. (Let’s be real though…I’m a slut for all of GOT7)

Monsta X:  Heony (or Minnie) 

EXO: Junmyeon…or Chanyeol…if it’s OT12, it’s Kris without a doubt. Although I absolutely adore Zitao as well. But Chanyeol was literally my first exposure into Idols and K-Pop so he’s always going to have a special place in my heart…but Suho came in like a wrecking ball and went “nah bitch, it’s my time to shine.” I love all of EXO and tend to be more interested in other members during different points in my week (or cycle lbr) but Myeonie is always a constant. 

VAV: Ace (I want the teal hair back). I don’t know what it is about him but I just turn super soft when I see him or hear him speak…and I’m not like that with anyone. 

Honorable mention to Hongjoong (ATEEZ) who literally jump kicked San out of his top spot. I honestly have no idea what happened but he’s weaseled his way into my heart as of recently and yeah…it’s been swell. 

I know there’s someone I’m missing, I have no doubt about it but I feel like that’s enough to start with!  

Edit (b/c my ass literally just remembered and I honestly want to hit myself): Kim Jaejoong literally owns my ass. I have become so so so soooo infatuated with him recently. I saw him while he was here in Tokyo recently and I kind of just...stopped and looked b/c I recognized him and I couldn’t figure out why and this super sweet lady informed me as to who he was (still don’t know exactly where I know him from though). But he was literally so kind with everyone he interacted with and he cooed at this baby (who I also cooed at literally 30 sec prior, she was adorable, omg y’all best believe I was thinking of ways to snatch that child w/o going to jail) and it literally melted my heart and solidified the fact that I am his bitch for the rest of eternity. yup, yeah, so, it was, uh, a moment for which I was forever be grateful for.
