There’s nothing worst than not liking the most popular fandom/fanon headcanons cause then you’re left with like no fanfic to read unless you spend hours shifting through shit 😭😭

Like I hate Vigilante!Deku and dadzwa and almost every MHA fanfic involves some sort of the two. Or shinsou is a major character with a poor baby backstory like idgaf about that child. Or Deku is straight up a villain with the LOV like cool let’s gloss over all the murder they tried to commit and did.

Or Danny Phantom and everyone’s instance to cross it over with DC specifically Batman if I ever meet the person who started that 😤😤

Sigh.

This is why I stick with HP there’s so much more variety, and those people don’t go crazy with the tagging system so it’s easier to shift through shit

WOULD HE CRUSH FIRST ?

he would not. felix sees everyone as a friend and does not actively look for a partner. he has other things on his mind and finds the comfort and love he needs in all the friendships he has built over time, yours included. felix is also not dense. though he does not make a big deal out of it, he is quite good at getting a correct read on people.

so, when you started to see him another way after hanging out one on one a few times over the past weeks, he ended up catching on. you were not exactly subtle about it but he could tell you were not doing it on purpose. to save you the embarrassment, felix would act like he did not know. and he would start developing interest in his own time, all thanks to realizing you liked him a little more than you would like to admit.

HOW HE WOULD ACT.

oh felix hides it so well. actually, you would not even be able to tell the difference from back when you were friends to after he started seeing you in a new way.

the only thing that is different is the light in his eyes when he flirts back. felix is good at flirting, great even. but initiating it is awkward, he would much rather respond. as friends, you can tell that he is joking. however, as his interest grows, his eyes become more and more serious in those moments. the tone is the same, and you still giggle when you hear him, just like you always have—except now, felix is not joking.

WOULD HE MAKE THE FIRST MOVE ?

most likely, yes. felix is pretty confident that you like him since that is one of the reasons why his own feelings developed. it might take a while and you may even start telling yourself to move on at that point but that is exactly when felix dexides to surprise you.

though you took the first step without knowing it ( being obvious about your crush on him ), felix takes the one that brings you closer to a relationship. he would ask you out and you would accept, thinking it's just another one of your usual outings. but felix would be clear about his intentions, about it being a date. and the way you blush upon hearing that, and how a few non sensical words stumble out your mouth, both comfort him in the idea that he was not mistaken. you do, in fact, like him. just as he thought.

MISCELLANEOUS

felix does not like to rush, he also enjoys having a crush. he likes the adrenaline rushes he gets whenever you sit a little closer than usual or how he gets to see you flustered whenever he flirts a bit more than normal. because of that, he might take a long time before trying to clear the air between you and putting words on his feelings.

definitely jealous. does not talk much about how he has a crush on you but his friends definitely know from how quick it is to tick him off. felix glares when someone else is obviously flirting with you. he also makes snarky comments about other guys that tried their chance and made you reject them. he does not like it when he gets like that, but felix can hardly help it.

Chris is definitely the type of guy that makes the first move and suggests that you should be friends with benefits.

100% tries to act cool first, but he becomes obsessed with you v e r y quickly.

T o u c h y. All the damn time. Even in front of his friends, his family. He doesn't care.

He is the guy to tell you "I don't want anything serious" and then have you in his arms 24/7.

Giving you lovey-dovey nicknames all the time.

Scared of commitment, so when he does fall in love with you, he won't admit it to himself – "it'll go away", he thinks.

Dirty jokes in front of everyone, as if you two weren't obvious already.

He gets jealous every 10 minutes. He won't say it but he'll always have an arm wrapped around your waist when you're outside. Or leave hickeys all over you, saying "sorry, it wasn't on purpose". Or glare at other guys for even being near you.

Secret kisses everywhere.

He secretly loves when you wear his clothes. To the point where, when you don't, he gets all grumpy. It's a little funny.

He's also very possessive during sex. He's the type that says, "you're mine" or "I only want you" while you're doing it, but will never say it normally.

At first, he would force himself to just get up and do something else after you two were done, but now he's fully into aftercare.

Aftercare. He makes sure you're comfortable, he kisses you everywhere, he keeps you in his arms and he convinces you both that this is just what friends with benefits do.

He stays up at night sometimes just to look at you.

He loves it when you play with his hair, when you massage his head. That's his aftercare.

I think he'd be devastated if he ever saw you with another guy, even though he doesn't admit it. He's lucky you feel the same way about him.

Caitlyn:

- she is in the 10th grade

- excellent student, never cheats on exams

- performs all additional tasks to get the respect of teachers and be a good student

- she's good at sports, but doesn't like physical education lessons

- when she doesn't understand something, she asks Jayce for help and he explains everything very clearly

- lets only friends copy her homeworks/tests

- is always neat, wears blouses and jackets

- doesn't like to show off, but everyone knows how rich her family is

- doesn't have much friends, basically only Jayce and Vi, but also has good relationship with Mel

- helped Jayce to get together with Mel

- signed up for all school clubs and extras

Vi:

- she is in the 10th grade

- physical education is her favorite subject

- is really good at cheating on exams

- didn't leave the school only because she doesn't want to part with her friends and gf

- sometimes she skips lessons, but does it well not to have problems with teachers

- she is not stupid and is able to understand some difficult subjects, such as physics, but considers it useless and prefers to do something more "practical"

- the favorite of most of the teachers and gets along well with literally everyone in school

- always offres the best ideas in the school council, but because of Silco it is rarely possible to implement them.

- unofficially belongs to the company of "cool kids", but actually isn't really interested in them

- usually sits with Elora or Jayce

- Head teacher

- doesn't like kids very much

- nevertheless, she helps the school council to make the school at least a bit better

- allows herself to be openly rude to Silco, because she knows that she will not be replaced

- she always keeps cognac at school, but doesn't get drunk, she just drinks a little to reduce stress

- leaves work earlier than she supposes too and doesn't what Silco tells her

Ekko:

- he is in the 7th grade

- "the clown of the class", which is why some teachers dislike him

- he is able to express his dissatisfaction when it's needed, but does not argue much with teachers not to get in troublea

Oh damn there's a puddle, alright up we go. Sett makes sure he can lift your weight. There is no instance you would catch him lacking, man will hoist you.

- Sett is always looking for you. Like actually turning around to make sure you're in the room. Waiting and searching to see if you are still following him. Walking around a store to make sure he has his eyes on you. He likes knowing you are there, that you are near so every so often you can see his head rise and turn as he looks for you, making sure you are there. The same for when he performs! Sett is constantly scanning the audience to find your face. Hoping to see you. Smiling widely when he does. He loves you! He WANTS to see you as often as possible.

- His ears get cold! He likes it a lot when you lightly rub them, actually being able to feel the warmth of your hands heat it up. Because he works out so often he is just a natural warm guy, so he feels the cold when the wind blows at his ears. Its why Ma made him the beanie anyway. If you kiss his ears they twitch. When he blushes they get warm. When you scratch them you might hear him purr, its a deep rumbling, a warm tone.

- Sett thinks its adorable if you want to work out with him! He will spot for you, give you advice, help you every way he can. Meal plans, tips and tricks, your personal trainer and motivator. Soft kisses when you hit a goal. Big hugs when you survive a gruesome set. He loves spending time with you and if you follow him to the gym he can do just that. Tired after? He's carrying you out.

- He likes body contact. He likes when you sit by him, lying on his lap as he practices singing or rapping. He likes you holding his hand as you walk around on dates. He likes to hug you from behind as you do things. He likes the physical reassurance that you are by his side. A hand around your shoulder as you two sit and chat. - If you can and show up for his shoots or practices he gets excited. Doing his best, making sure to get things done as soon as possible so he find you during a break. Happily chatting with you while he hydrates. Laughing and joking at his mistakes with you when he fumbles. You warm his heart. If you get along well with everyone else in Heartsteel he gets happier. They are like family to him afterall.

- He refuses to have you spend money on him when its band related, he gives you all his merch. He gets a copy anyway and they are YOURS. Sett is happy to see you wearing a tee with his face! Have posters of him (signed) in your room. He likes if you show him off as much as he shows you off. He loves loving you and loves being loved.

- If you get hurt or get sick he's is nervous and frantic. He wants to be there for you at all times, making sure you are ok. He frets over you, genuinely worried that a little cold will be life or death. He doesn't know how to actually help you thought, it takes help from messaging his mother and Yone to realize he needs to keep you cool, get you food and just let you rest. Which he hasn't been doing cos he's been in and out of your room non-stop. But he's learning.

- He hums a lot! You can catch him singing or humming songs while working out, showering, doing chores. He is a rockstar and music is important to him, it shows. He doesn't get embarrassed if you point it out, its more like a " Eh? I didn't realize it was even doing it. Must be a good tune." Moment.

Gaahhh I love him. Someone had suggested this idea!

You had been inspired by the late Katsushika Hokusai who recently passed some years ago and his late daughter Oei Hokusai was still alive and made amazing Ukiyo-e paintings. You had used up a lot of your savings to even get one of her paintings.

You had met Okita as kids and lived relatively close to Kondo’s dojo and always went over to watch him practice while you sat near the forest painting him or other scenic sights that came to mind

Okita thought your art was incredible and wondered why you never pursued your hobby. It was simply too expensive to print on woodblocks to produce copies. You solely secretly sold some of your exclusive pieces to tea houses or inns to hang up on their walls.

When you told Okita you were going to be leaving for a while to paint in another province, this has broken him deep down but it was understandable how you wanted to follow your passion just like how he would follow his.

Even though you had written letters and sent him some of your works from another town. You had missed him and it made you curious what he felt about you as well.

You sent him paintings of the cats outside of Kondo’s dojo to lift his mood. He would send you updates on his life and what everyone was doing. Even sometimes hinting when you’ll be back he would ask Kondo to host a dinner party.

It was hard, you wanted to be there for him and support him as well as he does for you. Even when the letters started to become less and less.

You decided to move back to Kyoto to sell your illustrated hand scrolls and other paintings to the tea houses and restaurants. You were gaining recognition for your work in Edo and wanted to return to Kyoto.

It must have been a few months to close to a year. The seasons have changed, and he was certainly out in the back with the men of his division. Yagi residence, the place where the Shinsegumi operated.

Would he be happy to see you? Why did he stop writing to you? The questions were hurting you deep down. You cared about him deeply and maybe affectionately you wanted more. It was hard being away for so long. Yet, did he feel the same? You

You had taken artistry to keep your mind off of such things. It always bugged you deep down and you were probably more sensitive and emotional. Your art was loved by a lot of townsfolk and Souji supported you.

You must’ve been standing outside contemplating and looking lost until you heard someone behind you call your name making your heart freeze and beat faster. Upon tilting your head you saw him standing behind you staring at you. You felt like breaking down in front of him but couldn’t make out any words.

Your mouth gaped open slightly before he ran up to you hugging you. Tightly. It was like he didn’t want to let go of you. “I— I thought you weren’t ever coming back,” he muttered but you couldn’t help but smile and shake your head. You reached into your bag to give him a late birthday present. It was a Ukiyo-e painting on folded a sheet of paper of a cherry blossom tree where you two met.

Okita was teary but wasn’t afraid to show his emotions in front of you. He was happy that you didn’t forget his birthday. He was worried that you had but you two sat outside talking for a while. You had learnt that leaving had broken him too much that he couldn’t respond back sometimes. You decided it would be better to stay in Kyoto in the end and be by his side even if the worst outcomes happen you’d still support him and he would support you.

Optimus

He doesn't know anything about human cooking, but he tries for you. He's good at following a recipe, but he'll come to you every now and then to ask what something means or to have you try what he's made thus far and see if it's to your liking.

He tries making healthy meals that would cater to your tastes, and he's good at finding recipes for foods you definitely would like, it's just that when it comes to doing the actual cooking itself, it's executed rather poorly. He's not too bad, but honestly he might just under or overcook something and feed you some runny, rubbery scrambled eggs for example.

When it comes to presentation, he honestly doesn't do much in that area. He just puts the food on a plate or in a bowl and serves it to you with the appropriate eating utensil.

It may be a mediocre meal, but at the end of the day at least he cleans up after himself.

Ratchet

He's very precise with the measurements and he's an expert with a knife. Ratchet's real good at working with his hands, given his occupation as a doctor, and honestly he'd make a pretty good cook! That is, if he understood more about human cuisine...

He doesn't understand why some humans enjoy their eggs with runny yolks or some of their food to be under-cooked, and he doesn't want to give you salmonella or any other disease, so he'll end up overcooking the eggs. The same goes for any slab of meat you give him. Ask him to cook you a steak and he'll serve you what looks like a burnt block of leather that's so dry you can stand it up on it's side.

The presentation of the entire meal is plain and looks boring. He just serves everything to you separately in their own bowls or plates, and never on the same plate. But he says that the important thing is that you're eating something, not the way it's presented.

And at least he cleans up his own messes.

Ultra Magnus

He follows everything to a T. Each measurement he makes is precise, so he doesn't make too much or too little of anything. However, he'll make healthy meals for you to eat. A meal that has a bit of everything from the food triangle unless you're vegan or vegetarian. He'll refuse to make you anything unhealthy,

He even tries to present the food in a fancy-ish way! However, it's somewhat akin to being presented with a whole bunch of paperwork to fill out. The important stuff on the top (or in this case the healthiest stuff to eat) and the least important stuff on the bottom (the rest of the food). It may look a bit weird, and taste off, but... Eh, it's good enough.

Given his handicap and the fact he's still trying to regain full mobility with it, he may be a bit slow with things such as chopping up ingredients, seasoning meat, or any sort of thing that would be more efficient with 2 hands. Still, he's made a lot of progress, so much so that he appears to be doing things at a relatively normal pace.

And of course once he's done in the kitchen, he'll always dutifully clean up whatever dishes he used or messes he made without a single complaint.

Arcee

She sorta does better than everyone else here, but that's only because she insists that you tell her what to do and how to do it. She copies any examples you give her, and always looks to you for advice on how it should look, taste, smell, etc.. And she takes the entire "meal cooking" thing very seriously.

Though the meal may not be too delicious, the meal she makes you is very healthy and nutritious! She tries to include as many foods from the 5 different food groups as she can, and what she can't include she attempts to make up for by adding it as a side to the dish.

She's good at working with her hands, so she'd be quick at dicing vegetables with a knife. So preparing ingredients would be about a cinch. But along with being able to work quickly, she'd be good at handling things carefully. Like she'd be good at working with homemade pasta without ripping or tearing the dough, or pinching the edges of gyoza wrappers shut without puncturing holes in it.

The presentation itself is a bit lacking, but what matters is that most of the food on that plate is edible and very healthy for you! And she's the kind of person that insists that you finish everything on your plate, but not in any sort of forceful way. She'll just remind you to finish all your vegetables or something similar.

Cliffjumper

Similarly to literally everyone else on this list, he'd most likely overcook your food, but he still does a better job than most, but it depends on the meal. He's better at making soups than he would be at cooking meat. But he's a quick learner. He'd manage to closely copy whatever you'd show him about cooking.

He'd make quite a mess in the kitchen though. He'll accidentally knock the spatula off the cluttered counter as he reaches for something else, or he'll jokingly fling some flour at you in a playful manner. He even whole-heartedly thought that you could put the egg—shell and everything—in whatever it is you're making. He didn't think you needed to crack the shell because he once saw that humans could eat things with hard shells like snails or jawbreakers.

But when things start going awry, he'll come up with some unorthodox way to partly salvage the meal. Emphasis on partly salvage, because while it may be fixed, it now tastes off, or looks off, or smells off, but it's still edible. He knows nothing about presentation and honestly he just shovels whatever he's made you onto a plate and hands it over to you as is.

But even though the meal may be sub-par, it's hard to deny that it wasn't fun to make. That is unless you got upset at him for making a mess, in which that case he'll earnestly apologize and start scrubbing away at the mess.

Bulkhead

He lacks Ratchet's dexterity, so he's pretty sloppy with a knife. He might just end up accidentally grinding the ingredients to mush, or cutting them unevenly, but he's trying. The thing he's best at is kneading dough, but he thinks that all you need to do is punch it and move it around, so depending on the dough, he most likely ends up over-working it in seconds.

The food he'd make for you would lean more towards unhealthy and extremely delicious, unless you asked him to cook you a specific healthy food. Nonetheless, it would be a flavorful meal thanks to all the spices and seasonings he'd add to it.

The presentation's relatively nice! It might just make up for the fact the food looks a little mangled (unless you had him make you soup or something that's supposed to be mashed, then he's just about aced it). He'll ask you every now and then about the amount of pepper or salt he should add to the food, or to see if he added too much spice or too little... He might just end up burning a thing or two here or there, but for the most part, the food he makes for you is pretty good!

Bumblebee

He's good at making simple meals like sandwiches or mashed potatoes, but it's always a bit lacking in flavor. It's still good nonetheless, he just adds too little salt, pepper, or seasoning in general. Anything more complex than that and he'll be serving you a mess on a plate.

He's very considerate and tries to make a meal catered towards your personal tastes. If you're vegan or vegetarian, or have an allergic reaction to something, he'll try and find a recipe for something you can eat.

He tries to make the food look "cute". Like if you asked him to make you pancakes, he'd try to stack them up and make a face on them out of whipped cream, m&ms, and syrup. It may taste a bit weird, or sickeningly sweet, but the presentation's nice.

Smokescreen

He sucks at it. He cooks using the microwave instead of the stove. Once he's done with it, your microwave will smell like a dumpster fire, and you'll have to scrub away at all the splattered food that hardened into thick layers of burnt crust which is near impossible to get off. Even if you ignore it, the stench from the microwave might just seep into whatever you cook in there next, and absolutely ruin it's flavor. It's safe to say that your microwave is ruined.

The only knowledge he has of cooking is from watching Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, but then again those shows didn't really teach him anything about cooking, they just served as entertainment. I mean the most he learned is that you should keep track of when you got ingredients, and to keep your pantry, fridge, cabinets, and kitchen clean, but that doesn't help him boil an egg.

Speaking of eggs, he tried cooking an egg in the microwave once—under the impression that the egg would boil—and much to his surprise, it exploded.

He presents the food in an... Interesting way... Honestly he just arranges it in whatever way looks cool and serves it to you with a "bon appetit".

He promises he'll clean up your microwave once he's done, but there's this stench that will always remain in there no matter what you do.

Wheeljack

He's hopeless too. Not only does he burn like 80 percent of what he's supposed to be cooking for you, but he over-seasons it too. There will be so much pepper on your food that you'll be sneezing the moment you catch a whiff.

But with a little supervision in the kitchen, he could make you something remotely edible. It may not look the part or smell the part, but it still is edible to some degree. He's very handy with a knife, and if you knew a thing or two about food science, he'd be open to listening to you talk about the glucose bonds in dough and whatnot.

If he put in a little bit of his time to do some research about food, he'd actually get a solid grasp of the bare bones of cooking. Like how long to cook meat and how to know if it's done, how to work a ball of dough, how not to overcook vegetables... Et cetera. Because it's all science-y in a way.

The presentation of the meal itself is average. He doesn't quite know how to "decorate" your food, so he just slaps it on a plate, or pours it in a bowl, or serves it in whatever fashion it should be served in, and he gives it to you.

WOULD HE CRUSH FIRST ?

probably, yes! we all know how fond of the concept and idea of romance hyunjin is. he definitely is the type to romanticize every interaction you both have from the very moment he meets you. he might take a while to come around to talk to you one on one and develop both real interest and attraction because of how shy he is. but there is no doubt that he would be the first out of you two to form a real crush. he is a bit embarrassed to admit it to himself at first, but he will get around to it. just give him a few days.

HOW HE WOULD ACT.

hyunjin is quite good at concealing his feelings. you would not be able to tell that he is treating you in a way slightly different than he does other people. hyunjin however, is hyper aware of the little attentions he gives you. would it be the way he is always listening to you in a group setting over any other person talking at the same time or how he remembers every single story you have ever told him despite his forgetfulness, it flies right over your head. but, hyunjin very well knows why he is acting this way.

having a crush drives him insane. hyunjin would stay up at night, wondering whether his feelings were mutual. he would recount the time you spent together that same day and ponder whether the way you smiled at him after he told that one joke was any different than the one you gave to felix.

WOULD HE MAKE THE FIRST MOVE ?

yes, hyunjin would. but only if he was certain that you liked him back. after a while and talking it over with his friends ( mostly changbin and jisung ), hyunjin would come to the conclusion that you liked him at least as much as he liked you. of course, he would never be 100% sure but there would be signs. it was mostly the way you always somehow ended up just the two of you when going out with friends that comforted him in the idea that his crush might be mutual. and so, he would ask you out.

if it turned out that he felt like you did not like him back however, hyunjin would never confess and neither would he ever try anything. hyunjin would rather save you the discomfort of having to reject him and save himself the shame that came with it.

MISCELLANEOUS

when he has a crush, hyunjin cannot stop talking about it to his friends. of course, he would not jump to it the moment he meets someone he could be interested in but rather waits to feel any kind of real-ish feelings to let everyone know about them. hyunjin might ask for advice or people's opinions on the things he noticed about you and the blossoming frendship you were building.

hyunjin mopes around when he ends up overthinking and convincing himself that you would never like him the same way. crushes are serious to him, he is not the type to like multiple people at the same time. instead, he would devote his attention to one person at a time. he might also be a bit jealous, but would actively work against it.

hi and hello i'm back from the dead here are some 1b quirk headcanons (that may or may not contradict canon but i'm too lazy to check everything)

Kuroiro

dad had a very limited phasing quirk, mom had an ink quirk. neither had #000000 skin that part kinda came out of nowhere

despite obviously being connected to his ability it's just a mutation that appeared along with it and isn't required for the quirk to be usable -what i mean by this is that Monoma's skin doesn't turn black when he copies it

it's. a really confusing quirk mechanics wise. Kuroiro himself isn't exactly sure how it works, it just does and thinking about it too hard makes his head hurt lol

he can merge into dark surfaces. doing so doesn't increase the weight of the object he's merged into. it's like he straight up disappears.

when he fully submerges himself in a shadow, he finds himself in kind of a black void in which he can move freely (without using his muscles, i think. just zooms around somehow...) and which he can leave whenever he wants through the same surface he used to enter or another one connected to it. is it some sort of super limited alternate dimension that he can enter through shadows?? PERHAPS

since he doesn't lose his clothes when he uses his quirk, he has to be able to bring objects into the darkness with him. i imagine he can do it with all things that aren't living (them being black is not necessary because it seems to work with white shoes and bracelets) and as long as they're touching him - if he lets go of an object while in a shadow, it will just fall out. therefore his quirk can be used for transporting things, but not for storing them.

you can also explain him not losing his clothes by them being mirio style dna fabric but that's the more boring option so screw that

when jumping out of a shadow, his speed matches that at which he was moving inside of it. i think it would be cool if he could build up speed while moving through a shadow and then just SHOOT out of it and kick someone real hard

Pony

Pony actually has "two quirks" - the one that gives her horns and the ability to shoot them (inherited from her dad) and the one that gives her the appearance of a horse/pony (inherited from her mom). it's registered as "horn cannon" for the same reason why Tokoyami's quirk isn't "raven" and Mina's isn't "pink alien thing" - it's a passive mutation quirk so it gets "overwritten" by horn cannon, which is more "active" - does this make sense?

thanks to her secondary quirk Pony is much stronger than the average person and can run really fast when on all fours. she can also neigh like a horse, digest celulose a bit better than average and sleep while standing. it's... not much besides that

Pony's horn cannon quirk requires keratin to function, because it's what her horns are made of. regrowing her horns too many times causes her to suffer from keratin deficiency, worsening the condition of her hair, skin, nails and hooves

most telekinetic quirks cause headaches when overused, but Pony's ability to control her horns is very minor so that drawback doesn't really affect her

Kendo

her quirk is a mix of her parents quirks - her mom can extend her fingers and her dad has superhuman strength in his arms

enlarging her hands increases their weight a lot, but Kendo's abilities don't suffer from that because her back and arms are naturally extremely strong as an adaptation to her quirk (she can beat everyone in the class at quirkless hand wrestling - it's highkey unfair, but she can)

however, she still sometimes ends up with lower back pains if she uses her quirk too much

Setsuna

her dad does have a lizard quirk (that actually gives him a tail that he's able to detach and regenerate), but her mom's quirk is actually more similar to Setsuna's. it basically lets her detach and re-attach parts of her body along predetermined lines, and lacks the regenerative abilities

her quirk makes her basically indestructible because it lets her regenerate any destroyed or injured body part, plus she seemingly doesn't even need any of her organs to be connected to each other. her only weak point is her head, attacking it is the only way to knock her out (or kill her)

her head/brain is also her "core" - she can only regenerate body parts that are connected to her brain. i'll use the final exams as an example - if she managed to get her whole head outside the gate, she would be able to regenerate her whole body around it and pass (she would probably pass out from exhaustion, but still). however if she only got some other body part, like one of her arms outside the gate she wouldn't be able to do that because the arm isn't connected to the brain. hope you get what i mean lol

in-universe, her quirk probably isn't censored with black, so i'm guessing it looks quite gory and tends to freak people out when they see it for the first time. an upside to this is that thanks to having to deal with the sight of it on a daily basis, no one in class 1-B has to worry about the shock of first seeing gruesome injuries during hero work. they're all desensitized through safe means👍

a drawback that is shared by most regeneration quirks is that due to the rapid cell division that occurs when regenerating body parts, she is at a high risk of developing cancer. however that's far less troublesome than it sounds, as she can always just painlessly detach the cancerous part and grow a new healthy one. doctors hate this one weird trick or something

as you can probably tell from my art, i really like the headcanon that her skin looks kinda patchwork-y because her regenerated pieces are never exactly the same as the original body parts

due to those imperfections, she's extra careful about her brain pieces bc it's such a complicated organ that the tiniest change in its structure can seriously mess things up. like cause memory loss or personality changes, setsuna finds that terrifying and honestly who wouldn't!!

Tsuburaba

another 50/50 mix - his mom can create colorful smoke/mist with her breath and his dad can produce a glass-like liquid from his skin and solidify it at will

i gotta admit that i'm not sure what the "solid air" actually should be. if it was actual solid air, it would be incredibly cold, unless there's some pressure fuckery happening here. and since i kind of don't understand that hypothetical pressure fuckery i generally prefer to think that it's some different substance that's a solid in normal conditions and was just named "solid air" because the way it's created makes it seem like it.

while the amount of solid air he can create does depend on his lung capacity, the quirk itself doesn't give him any extra amount of it. in other words he has the lungs of a regular athletic teenage boy, nothing special

his actual "quirk factor" is his throat, using his quirk too much first dries it up, then proceeds to damage its walls, which can result in him not being able to use his quirk for a while. throat damage due to external factors does the same thing

he can make the stuctures created with his quirk disappear at will. it's not required, but he likes to snap his fingers when doing so. makes it look cooler.

he's only ever been shown to create stationary structures, but i like to think that he can also make mobile ones (in other words i think he should be able to make solid air weapons and tools because that's cool)

Tetsutetsu

exact copy of his mom's quirk. gotta go with the joke

along with the temperature resistance, inability to regulate his hardness and dependence on iron consumption, another difference between his quirk and Kirishima's is that turning into steel also significantly increases his weight, which allows him to hit harder at the cost of slowing him down a little

the wiki says that it was never clarified what "iron consumption" means, so it's up to me to decide - i think they meant that he needs to eat food that contains iron, judging by the fact that the (stereotypically!) rich in iron spinach is his favorite food. i don't think he eats the actual metal, lol

even when his quirk is off, his hair is slightly affected by it at all times, which makes it resemble thin metal wires. he styles it by bending it with his hands

Reiko

since it's an extremely basic quirk, i think she also directly inherited it from one of her parents i don't have concepts for them so idk which one oof

she can only use her quirk on entire objects, not parts of them

while she doesn't have to always keep the objects she's manipulating in her field of view, she has to see them in order to "pick them up" in the first place

i believe that the "can only lift things that weigh less than an average person" limitation she has in canon is supposed to explain why she doesn't just use it to throw people around, and yeah that makes sense. what doesn't make sense is why she can't pull them by their clothes instead, so i'm going to make up an explanation for that too - clothes are usually pretty thin, so trying to grab them without also grabbing the person themselves and therefore exceeding the weight limit usually requires quite a lot of precision, which Reiko doesn't have (yet - one day she'll learn, i imagine)

the term "weight limit" is a simplification, it's actually a mass limit. in other words when she can't lift something it's not because can't exert a strong enough force to counteract its weight, but because she can't manipulate this much matter at once. she wouldn't be all-powerful in space or when cooperating with ochako

speaking of the force that she can apply to objects, it can be pretty insane if she concentrates hard enough for a long enough time

she doesn't actually need to move her hands to use her quirk, but it helps her focus and visualize its effect better

as it's a major telekinetic ability, overusing her quirk gives Reiko headaches

(i'm making up so many rules and limitations because telekinesis is a BROKEN ability if you think about it enough lol)

Shiozaki

mix of her dad's ability to speed up plant growth and her mom's ability to manipulate her hair

since her vines are green, it's safe to assume they contain chlorophyl and therefore are able to photosynthetize. however, due to the way they're shaped, i doubt it's very efficient (bad surface area to volume ratio), so i suppose Ibara has to provide most of the nutrients herself. in other words i think she eats way more than the average person and drinks more water, too

failing to provide those will cause her ability to extend and move her vines to suffer, and in more extreme cases, they will just fall off. she can regrow them when that happens, but it takes time.

while theirs are obviously very different from ours, plants do have senses, and Ibara can use those plant senses of her vines as kind of an extension of her own

Kamakiri

another exact copy, of his mom's quirk this time. she actually used to be a pro hero, too (one day i might elaborate on this)

it does come with the innate desire to cut things, however thanks to his mom sharing the same quirk he received proper support so it never grew into a problem. on the other hand despite seeming scary, it's not that much to handle. he just satisfies that desire by cutting vegetables lol

by default his blades are extremely sharp, but if he focuses hard enough he can make them more blunt and less lethal

unrelated to the blades, but due to part-bug biology, he's much lighter than you'd expect someone of his posture to be.

AN: I personally headcanon that Ghost has sociopathic traits, which is why he's a bit not good in this fic and I kinda see the dynamic between him and the reader being a "I hate everyone except you" type of deal. If that's your cup of tea (pun intended) then enjoy!

Warnings: War, violence, bombs, blood and injury, very heavily implied suicidal intent.

Ghost carefully picked his way through the blackened rubble, avoiding the broken glass and tall flames that swayed in the warm breeze as he jogged by, steadily making his way back to where they’d set up base camp. 

The private that he had secured across his shoulders in a fireman's carry remained quiet despite how dizzy Ghost’s every step had to make him feel. The younger man was clearly concussed, the deep gash on his forehead dripping blood into his eyes and leaving a subtle trail behind them as Ghost walked. 

From what Ghost could put together from the private’s garbled attempt to explain what had happened, a chunk of concrete had been thrown by the explosion and had hit him directly in the middle of his forehead, knocking him out, which had probably saved his life. 

There were fairly blatant signs that other people had recently been in the area, as evidenced by the copious boot prints covering the fractured ground, so it was obvious that the enemy had assumed that he was dead during their initial sweep through the destruction for any survivors and had left him alone.

Others hadn’t been so lucky.

Ghost’s breaths were slow and even as his eyes scanned over the substantial damage around him, paying particular attention to the more sizable chunks of debris that were big enough for someone to hide behind.

The bomb that had gone off not twenty minutes ago had leveled almost the entire town, leaving behind only carnage. His gloves creaked as his hands tightened on his rifle, a feeling of dread sinking in his gut as he walked through what was essentially a graveyard.

They’d had two teams in the immediate blast range, one having accidentally come across the bomb, the leader only getting a short warning out over comms before a deafening explosion rocked the city. It wasn’t long after that that the gunfire had started, a frantic voice coming over the radio to warn the rest of the teams about the ambush.

Ghost recognized the voice as Bravo team’s leader, the very same group that you’d been assigned to.

Ghost felt something in his chest tighten when -after one last flurry of gunfire- everything had gone eerily quiet, the sound of static the only answer when he tried to get a hold of someone on Bravo team for a sitrep, the dead silence putting him more on edge than any gunshot or explosion ever could. 

"Bravo team, this is Karma in the blind, how copy?" Your voice suddenly broke through the white noise that had taken over the channel, weary and labored. “I repeat, this is Karma, does anyone copy?”

"I read you Karma, what’s your sitrep." Ghost spoke into the radio, pausing his determined march to let the private he had a hold of rest for a few precious minutes. Ghost didn’t feel relief at hearing your voice, that feeling of foreboding he had becoming stronger at how shaky you sounded.

"I got separated from the rest of Bravo team during the ambush and I'm running low on ammo. What's your position, maybe we could link up?" You asked, your breaths coming out heavy in between bouts of talking. It was abundantly clear that you were running on fumes and Ghost nearly shattered the plastic casing on his radio when his grip tightened.

He couldn’t abandon the injured private that he was carrying, no matter how badly he wanted to come to your aid, it was against protocol and wouldn’t be fair to the private.

“Negative.” He barked into the speaker, his helpless frustration making his tone sharp and angry. “I've got a private with me, WIA.” Ghost replied, and you both knew full well what that meant. 

He was heading out of the town in order to reach base camp, which meant that Ghost was traveling in the opposite direction of your position and wouldn’t be able to come back until the private was secured.

"Shit. How bad? Are they gonna make it?" You cursed over the line, but you didn’t sound angry or accusing, you just sounded worried. But not for yourself, all that concern in your voice being solely reserved for the random soldier that Ghost was hauling around, the very one that kept him from running to your side.

And that was just like you, wasn’t it? Painfully altruistic, even at your own expense.

He felt the inane urge to laugh -an angry, bitter sound- but he swallowed the horrible noise down because he knew that it wouldn’t make the shitty situation suddenly change to something a little more palatable. 

The sound of you loading a new mag into your gun sounded over the line, drawing Ghost’s attention back to you, before you spoke. “Ghost? You still with me?”

“Always.” Ghost replied as he began moving again, being careful not to jostle the private as he went, as if his extra caution could possibly make up for his overwhelming desire to just drop him to the ground and leave him for dead. 

If you were suspicious of Ghost for withholding the exact nature of the private’s injuries, you didn’t say, the only sound on comms for a moment being the subtle shift of clothing as you adjusted your position.

"I'll try to hold out as long as I can. Until then, stay frosty, Lt." You finally sighed through the radio, breaking the loaded silence that had descended over the two of you. 

"I'll keep the radio on me. Don't let your guard down." Ghost ordered grimly before the radio clicked off, allowing him to turn his focus back to his surroundings and the person he was carrying as he picked up his pace, returning to the light jog he was at before you’d contacted him. 

He was about ten minutes out from his intended destination when the familiar sound of distant gunfire rang out, the echoing crack of gunshots continuing on for a few minutes before abruptly cutting out, that knot in his chest seizing until he felt his breathing became labored. 

The image of your bleeding, broken body flitted through his mind's eye, taking inspiration from the various gorey scenes from all of Ghost’s missions that he had filed away in the back of his mind, making each new image his memory conjured up worse than the one before.

He could just begin to make out the perimeter of camp when Ghost's radio came to life, white noise filling the oppressive quiet, the soft static somehow more ominous than the previous silence.

Ghost freed one of his hands and snatched up the radio on his shoulder all without once breaking his stride. “This is Ghost, how copy.” 

"Fuck, Ghost. It’s not looking good.” You breathed shakily over the line and Ghost immediately picked up on your distress, cataloging every tiny scrap of information he could glean from just your voice as he ran across the last few meters separating him from the medical tent.

He wondered if you were aware of the small, almost inaudible sounds of pain you were making with every careful breath.

“Head wound, severe concussion.” Ghost barked at the medic that tried to protest against him depositing his cargo onto one of the first empty cots he came across while aggressively pointing at the barely conscious private, watching as the medic took a step away from him at his curt tone, eyes wide as they warily watched him.

He turned his back on the medic and the private he’d hauled to safety, stalking back out of medical. He ignored the painful-looking double takes that the soldiers milling about shot his way as they scrambled out of his warpath. 

He didn’t care about the looks he was getting or that he was making people nervous; his skin felt too tight -like an ill fitting suit- and it made him feel unstable… inhuman.

“Sitrep, now.” Ghost growled at you as he stalked over to the tent where they had set up a supply cache, loading up on grenades, ammo, knives and anything else that he thought would be useful in case he got cornered at any point during his journey. 

“I got pinned down by enemy fire and had to shoot my way out. A lucky bullet took a fucking chunk out of my thigh. I can’t move and I'm pretty sure our little confrontation signaled my position to everything unfriendly within a five mile radius." There was a moment of silence before you continued with a rueful laugh. “And I've only got eight bullets left. What a fucking shit show." You muttered the last bit to yourself, snapping your mag back into place.

"What other weapons do you have?" Ghost asked, already mentally running through several different strategies and contingencies for every plan he came up with as he double checked his gear before marching back out of the tent. 

"A couple knives and two grenades. Though I was saving the explosives for if I was surrounded with no way out. I figured that I could at least take a number of the enemy with me if push comes to shove." There was a tense pause before you audibly swallowed. “I’m not going to let them take me.” You added with a grim determination, more than prepared to use the grenades to keep that exact thing from happening.

"Give me your location." Ghost demanded, his voice low and dangerous as he passed one of the pairs who were assigned with patrolling the perimeter of camp, neither woman daring to stop him.

“Negative, sir.” You responded without hesitation, your bold refusal to comply with a direct order bringing him up short, his dark eyes narrowing as he glowered into the middle distance, watching the plumes of dark smoke from the destroyed town rise up into the sky.

“Private-” Ghost began, his voice holding a thinly veiled threat, but his warning was cut short when you spoke again.

“I'm in the middle of enemy territory. This place is crawling with hostiles, there’s no way-” 

“That changes nothing.” Ghost shouted to be heard over your useless protests, his chest heaving as the radio in his hand creaked threateningly in his fierce grip. 

“It changes everything, Simon! Coming after me at this point is suicide!” You raised your own voice as much as you dared in response to his outburst, still aware of the danger posed by potential enemies in the area, and the uncontrollable anger wound tighter in his chest at the mere implication that he should leave you, his closest friend -someone he couldn’t bare the thought of losing- behind to die.

“The way I see it, you can either give me your location now or I can wander around the warzone until I find you.” Ghost was forced to stop and focus on his ragged breathing in order to rein in his fury when the darkness roiling just beneath his skin bled into his voice. And, once he felt more in control, he continued, his voice ice cold. “Though I feel inclined to warn you that, if you refuse me again, I’m going to make you regret not following a direct order and, mark my words, I will find you.”

There was a long moment that seemed to stretch on for hours, though it had to have been only a few minutes, where all Ghost heard was your breathing. He closed his eyes for a couple, calming seconds and focused on the rhythmic sound as he stared out at the wreckage, using it to ground him as he waited for your reply. 

Though, it honestly didn’t matter what you decided in the end because he was coming after you either way, a location would just make his trek to you that much faster.

"I'm holed up in what I'm pretty sure used to be a gas station on the south side of the town." You begrudgingly replied, every syllable that dripped from your lips laced with fury at Ghost basically forcing your hand. 

“Copy, hold your position” Ghost ordered, his eyes snapping back open before he impatiently input the coordinates you followed up with into his GPS device, letting it load the map before he spoke into the radio. “I’m twenty mikes out.” He gave you a moment to process the information, standing there until he realized that he was wasting the already very little time he still had to get you to.

"And if anything- if I don’t-" Ghost cut himself off as he began to make his way back into the rubble, various scenarios playing out in his head. You bleeding out all alone or -even worse- being found by the enemy and promptly executed, your precious, beautiful mind splattered all over the uneven ground as you stared sightlessly up at the smog-filled sky.

If he let himself think about it for too long, he began to quickly unravel, so he bottled up every emotion except for the ones that would be useful to him as he gave his rifle and gear one last through check.

"Use your grenades if I don't make it.” He finally settled on, his tone grim.

"Affirmative, sir."

But at the same time, there are things I also want to make my counter arguments disproving that Strilondes/Gamzee/Meenah are harmful black stereotypes that OP themselves is stereotyping and is racist themselves for assuming. Hella and Dope are words and slang that can be used by anybody. Not just black people. It's often to describe something that is a lot (hella) or chill (dope). Words like these are not exclusive to black people. But if you think using how black speech talk is why characters like Dave and Dirk are black, then that means you also accepted that Dave would use the word NIGGA openly like he did in his blog.

The N-word isn't just used as a slur, but said by black people to describe a person or group of people. In some context, the n-word is used to describe someone as their friends or homies. Other times, it is used to describe someone as crazy or insane. It varies from what the context is. Black people still use that word for not just songs, books, and other media, but talk among themselves with their race and everyone around them. Casual and otherwise. Which means then someone can headcanon Dave openly calling all his friends (whether they were white, black, or alien in the trolls case) niggas. You want people who headcanon him as an uwu soft boi to say the n-word so casually? Maybe the other Beta and Alpha Kids don't mind. Have you thought of that?

If Dirk is canonically white, then shouldn't the same apply to Dave as well? After all, ECTOBIOLOGY was used to clone them. Therefore, Dave/Rose/Roxy would ALSO be white because the machine collects said DNA copy. There's nothing said about the machine that says it could change a person's race/ethnicity. And if it did, then that means in every timeline, every character existed to be any race. There is also to take into consideration that with Doomed Timelines that tells people that everyone doesn't matter besides the current timeline that the story follows. As an example, that means someone who headcanons them as like African American or Chinese in a timeline where everyone achieved godtier, grown as a person in personality and otherwise, and gotten together with whoever the person ships with, it doesn't matter because Paradox Space says so. Those people are worthless because they didn't follow the ""correct"" path to continue the timeline. If the possibility of mixed or changed races can extend to the trolls, then that means the trolls themselves could have been carrying everyone else's DNA within them. Eridan may have a partial part of him that is rustblood, Aradia could have fuchsiablood DNA in her, etc. Added with the incestuous slurry all trolls are made of, the trolls are already fucking their sister/brother/cousin. Same kind of said for the human kids if you take into account for the ectobiology that they were born in the same place from the same machine. Technicalities are weird like that.

Hear me out..

If the supernatural is possible within YellowJackets, then thoughts upon a Shapeshifter reader?

They can keep a form yet it mentally hurts them to do so. Such stress piled upon the events that have occurred. Originally, they only joined the YJs to fit in within the town as their form was that of a teen.

So after the crash, they can no longer take a break to shift between forms. They end up going deep into the woods to just, break down, yet little did they know that one of the team members followed them, involuntarily buddy system if you will.

So as they break down, the forms shift and shift, form to form, and it’s shocking. Gradually that one member tells the others and as the trips deeper into the forest continue, so does the advocations for their powers until the whole of the team knows.

Then a confrontation is planned.

And it occurs.

If you've watched Young Justice I feel like reader would be like M'gann, like they hold a stark resemblance to a young Helena Bonham Carter, or Winona Ryder, or Angela Basset, or Naomi Campbell, etc, just copying the looks of whoever they first saw on TV when they crash landed on earth (we're going alien to be particular) but they could even be an ancient species that's been asleep in ice in the pits of the ocean for the last few centuries.

Thinking about their autonomy not being the same as a human's, they have heightened senses so they have to play off their good hunting skills as just being taught by their made up human father when they were younger... Or them not sleeping much, at all, or at different times than humans so they have to fake being asleep, doing some stupid "wee-ne-ne-ne huaaagh" ass snores.

Sometimes they'll switch between other forms, they'll sprout little pinfeathers, and they're *so* annoying but they just have to hide it under their clothes and bare it all day until the other girls are asleep, watching birds during the day to learn how to properly prevent the pinfeathers that sprout from their body from all the stress, baby just needs a good bath and some back rubs (two things they're probably barely aware exist) ❤️

They'd probably thrive up to a certain point out in the wilderness (if we ignore any thoughts on the dark parts that come to be and stick to the actual survival stuff), they wouldn't give a shit about washing in the lake half of the time, theyd be like a muddy, providing dog to the group, only washing up to please the other girls or whatever

Away from the headcanons— little trips into the forest to just let themselves exist in their natural form outside of their fleshsona. I want to be self indulgent and make them a full on harpy with snake attributes and the tail of a raccoon but idk. They begin taking them more often as the stress piles up and it becomes noticable. Because after that first time they went into the forest to deflesh themselves their buddy (they were not aware there was a buddy system being put in place in their defense...) caught them, also something they were not aware of despite their heightened senses for plot related reasons.

They get WAY too loud about them gossiping and oogling reader all day and somehow it becomes public knowledge to everyone (minus reader) that Lottie and Laura Lee are stupid mf who think reader is some angel or something. And it's becomes a running joke.

Thinking about while hunting with Nat, reader's true form flashes for a second or so while they're standing over a buck that they shot, but not a lethal shot, so they had to put the thing out of its pain. And so now Nat thinks she's insane like *Lottie and Laura* are.

Until, one fateful day, while dinner is cooking a strau Coyote comes yipping at the cabin and reader, like the guardian-angel-but-not they are, throws the cabin door open and hisses at the thing, and the girls swear to god they have talons as nails. Not to mention the suspiciously bushy limb of fur coming out of their lower back, what is that— raccoon stripes???

And then the funny delusion that reader is a angel isnt *so* far off. Reader is oblivious to the bewildered stares while they eat, suddenly quite sharp teeth tearing into the meat of their earlier hunt.

And then at night when reader has snuck off for another one of their deep forest trips, Nat's like "guys this mf is some biblical bitch or some shit idk more like eldritch god, bro had wings and shit" (ignore that dialogue it's a horrible paraphrase of what I imagine she would say not what she literally would say). And it's like, Nat's is the most realistic person on this team and they've all seen reader look weird as hell.

So, late at night, when reader comes back from their deep forest trip, when they expect everyone to be asleep still (they never were, they pulled a reader and pretended to sleep and the oblivious fuck reader isn't didn't notice one bit)— are jumped with a bunch of questions about "are you an angel", "am I on the naughty list" that one from Van, because honestly the way Nat described your form and your teeth when you ate, you looked like Krampus— and then the obligatory "are you the new jersey devil?!?"

I'm just now realizing writing this that maybe reader is just... the New Jersey Devil but if it could shapeshift?? Which one could say all cryptids can with the varying descriptions of their looks.

Batfam as catshifters headcanons

When shifting they occur either willingly or when the person is experiencing heightened emotions. When this happens to one of his kids, Bruce shifts and just engulfs them. Giving them all of the affection to help calm them down.

Cuddles are a MUST. It happens after family dinner where everyone’s bellies are full and they are getting tired. Once neither of them made it to the living room and just passed out in the hallway.

That picture, the bane to all of the kids’ existence, is hung on the wall of Bruce’s office. They all tried to get rid of it, but he just keeps replacing them. Why does he have so many copies of that one photo?!

There’s a room in the manor that is specifically dedicated for the bats when they are in their cat forms

When one of the kids have a nightmare, they go into Dick’s or Bruce’s room and just cuddle into their bodies.

Damien’s the type to scratch people who are strangers, Tim has the most scratches from Damien when he first came to live with them.

When Jason’s mad at Bruce, he would purposely knocks things off of his desk, whether he’s in human or cat form.

Dick likes jumping onto high places that cats or humans shouldn't be on. The most famous one is the chandelier but he has gotten into other places; fridges, cabinets, Bruce’s head when he was just a kitten.

Cass’s the type to just ignore your presence unless she wants something from you. Whether that’s food, headpats, or belly rubs. But normally she just chills with whoever’s in the same room as her.

Damien and Tim get into cat fights where everything’s on the table. Claws are out and teeth, anything that can cause harm, will be used.

Duke is seen as chill, by most people but he’s a gremlin just like his siblings. He likes to scare Bruce by hiding into small spaces (taught by Cass ofc) and gives Bruce heart attacks daily. But all Duke has to do is head butt Bruce on his legs and looks at Bruce with the sun hitting just right, and Bruce would fold.

Steph HATES taking a bath in cat form. She would whine and try her hardest to get out of it. Alfred has a tiny scratch on his arm that proves it.
