i wish you would write a fic where itachi AND sakura AND deidara date!! everyone gets feral girl summer!!
"I wish you would write a fic where..."
YES YES YES
Godddd I want a fic like this so bad. I did go through the AO3 tag for this ship a while ago because this is my IDEAL ot3 but there's not a lot. :( Every once in a while I go "then I should just DO IT MYSELF" but I can barely write a romance with two people, let alone three?? i struggle when juggling too many characters so i've never even attempted writing a polycule dhfdj
this fic was meant to be an intro to a dark itasakudei comedy where itachi and sakura are trying to reverse-engineer necromancy while touting around sasuke's corpse and deidara is dragged along kicking and screaming, but i never got very far into it. (it was ORIGINALLY supposed to be sakukarin and itadei, but then i wrote this and went "oh no but my original otp itasaku--" and also stories get more streamlined if you cut characters, rip karin.)
maybe i will poke at it some more once i clear out some of my current projects..... thinking emoji

Itachi's Daily Texts from the Akatsuki, Part Two
From Kakuzu
Won't be as effective if you don't get some damn sleep.
You need to stay off of it for at least a week. I'll explain to Nagato.
How you choose to live (and die) is your own business.
Well tell him to take it easy with you. Your stamina isn't up for "extracurricular activities" like that, brat.
I'm aware. I'll deal with him later.
If you don't wish to pay it then use a candle instead of that lamp.
Once again, GO TO BED.
Your sweets consumption is appalling.
Of the three of you, I'm not sure which one worries me more. Four counting Tobi.
A gengetsu where all I have to do is sit still and money flies into my lap. Birthday present.
Your worst is likely STILL superior to his "best".
Rent is due. Utilities as well.
From Sasori
I swear your stubbornness rivals even that of Deidara's sometimes.
I'm working on a new remedy that should still the pain for much longer periods of time.
If you don't take better care of it I'll be forced to amputate. And as a warning, once I start with body modifications I find it very, very hard to stop.
SLEEP.
With as bad as your breathing sounds? The enemy would hear you coming from a mile away!
Eternal doesn't mean eternal patience.
I told him to behave himself with you or I'll take away his clay.
I wish I could help more. I truly do, child.
My thanks for the book, I'll return it within the week.
I'll admit I've thought about it but I'm not sure the sharingan would translate as well aesthetically in wood as it does in human flesh.
From Hidan
Prove it.
Mine's shorter but it's better. Not so greasy.
You'd be healed from everything if you just prayed to Jashin!!
It's a. Fucking. Fishing pole. He has like fifty! Why's he making such a big deal out of ONE?!
I did it and I'm NOT sorry.
Shit ain't my business but really isn't he too big for your sick-ass body?
Can't even tell you man.
It's not my deal but blondie looks cute as fuck when we go. Tell him I said that and I'll cut off your balls with my scythe.
You're like a fucking vampire dude. You NEVER SLEEP!
When I tried saying it Kakuzu almost knocked my head off my damn neck.
Stop being so gay and come with us. It's not like you've got shit else to do that day!
Whatever asshole.
I would rock your fucking world and I wouldn't break your ass in half like shark-dick.
Just use your creepy eyes and put him to sleep first! All we gotta do is cut off like two inches and he'll freak so bad he'll have a heart attack!
You know what? I'm gonna lend you my Jashin bible. One you read it you'll see I'm right about everything I keep telling you!
From Zetsu
You hurt his feelings, child. He said you're the only ones left of your clan and you never wish to spend time with or even speak to him.
I can smell it coming from your pores.
Time is merely an illusion.
These trips to Konoha are proving quite lengthy ...
You should probably lay low for a bit. Kakuzu finally received the credit card bill for all of those tea and dango shops.
That's a lovely idea but I doubt ALL of us could go to one place without causing some chaos.
There is no heaven and no hell. There is simply NOW, and whatever realities we choose to create for ourselves.
I believe he's started to think of himself as being your "big brother". Could be either good or bad for you.
From Deidara
Art absolutely IS a "life necessity". Heathen.
As good as friends as two assholes can be, right?
Mine got softer since I started using the eggs. It's slimy but after it sets in, it's really great.
If I wasn't goofy about Danna and EVERY OTHER man in the world died, then maybe.
Should you really be drinking?
Maybe if you went to sleep! Fucking hell you're creepier than a vampire!
Yeah but if I DID like girls I bet I'd get more than you!
I just don't get why he wears it? He's hot as FUCK without it.
Would Kisame get mad if I asked him if he wanted to come with us to the aquarium?
Just get Konan to do it. She's nice and has soft hands.
Hidan wants to but I'd rather stay home.
Yeah I could teach you but yours wouldn't explode so what's even the point??
From Konan
Thank you! I can't believe you noticed! <3
You need the fresh air, come with me for a walk.
Don't listen to him ok?
Yes and no. More so "yes".
I wish I had the time for it.
I'm almost done with that book, you have the sequel right?
It's like every single particle of dust on the road just magically finds it's way into my hair.
If you're trying to avoid back pain, I'd advise against it.
Not that I don't appreciate them but ... did you go out at one in the morning to pick them?
He talks too loud and I've already got a headache.
Thanks for letting me borrow it, Nagato's hair is much healthier now.
From Tobi/Obito
You think THAT was bad?? Try BATHING the son of a bitch!!
You, me, and Sasuke could do it though. It would be more powerful than any clan that ever existed.
Just because it tasted good did NOT mean you needed to eat that many in one sitting!
I applaud the idea but with as weak as you are right now I don't see how it could work.
He's taller than you now. Still with the short hair though.
I can see I was wrong in criticizing Fugaku's parenting style because you ARE a handful, little cousin.
Four hours of uninterrupted sleep would do you a world of good.
Why should I give that up?? It's absurdity to think that an UCHIHA has a PUPPET as a romantic rival!!
It gets so hot and itchy under this thing.
A vacation somewhere warm and quiet would be nice.
Your idea of atonement is even more fucked-up than mine.
No but HE said I had to.
I'm honestly surprised nobody has tried to kill him yet.
I wish it was so. I truly do.
It's loud but you have to admit it's better than being alone.
Come and eat.
Depends on what your definition of "helpful" is.
From Kisame
Did you eat something yet?
Did you get any sleep last night?
Come here, I drew you a bath with lavender oil.
Can I help that I legitimately worry over you?
Just a snack? Just so you have something in your stomach? Please?
The water is warm and gentle and I bet a swim would cheer you up.
I forgot how much energy they have, I ran myself ragged trying to keep up with them!
Then come let me brush that beautiful hair of yours.
I understand. I don't agree but I get it.
Then just let me kill them. Problem solved.
Come on, please, just one quick little nap. An hour max.
They invited us but I know you don't really like red meat so I said no.
Fortunately MY bed is VERY warm and cozy. Come and see.
It might shock you to learn that there are other foods besides dango and tea.
You shouldn't even have to ask, that was 1000% Deidara.
There are other, and perhaps more interesting, ways of building your stamina. <3
Never imagined that one day I'd want something like this, but here we are.
Is it a little one or a big one? If it's small just take a deep breath and use your shoe.
I love you as well but dammit brat you'll be the death of me for sure!

Movie Night with the Akatsuki
Pein
This was another of his ideas, to promote a sense of bonding within his lil group of killers. The Pein-body accompanies Konan to the grocery to buy the snacks and drinks they need (but only non-alcoholic beverages, because alcohol tends to make a lot of the others angry and erratic and Himself-knows that these people are ALREADY plenty of angry and erratic). Everything is paid for out of his own pocket, not so much from a sense of generosity as a means to keep Kakuzu from going ballistic over what he’d call “frivolous expenses”. Pein(Nagato) personally has no solid preferences when it comes to films, although he tends to favor flicks with fast-paced plots and a bit of intrigue.
Konan
Konan is more into the idea of a group movie night than the others had anticipated. She takes the time to set up the chips, popcorn, dips, drinks, and candy neatly on the table (which is really a bit of a waste, as all the boys just shovel food into their mouths like animals anyway), and she makes the schedule for movie times diplomatically; everyone gets to pick one movie for everyone to watch ((should be noted that “movie night” technically is movie night(s) as it takes several evenings to get through everyone’s picks)), and who goes first is decided by games of rock-paper-scissors. Her personal movie preference is 80’s teen romance movies; she adores Molly Ringwald and the others have heard her recite lines, verbatim, from Sixteen Candles more times than they can count. She also likes to turn movie night into a half-spa day, sitting in her chair and combing her hair, putting special mud-masks on her face, buffing and re-painting her finger and toe-nails. Several of the Akatsuki members join in her rituals, allowing her to style their hair ((Deidara)) or moisturize their skin ((Kisame)).
Kakuzu
The old guy is, perhaps unsurprisingly, a fan of old movies. He’s seen (and can give detailed lectures on) every Hitchcock film known to man. His favorite of these (and the one he picks to watch most frequently) is Rear Window; it tickles him to no end how the antagonist of the film “almost gets away with such a sloppy murder; if he had done it like THIS —“. The others think these movies are too slow-paced and reeeaaaally boring, but Kakuzu doesn’t care. Hidan likes to tease him with “of course the ancient fuck likes these movies; he was probably a kid when they were made!” His preferred movie-watching spot is in an easy chair, with the footrest up and a can of mixed nuts on his lap. 9/10 will fall asleep before the movie ends and the others will hurry and change it to one of theirs before he wakes up and notices.
Kisame
Always says he’s not the biggest fan of movies, but will watch whatever the others are watching. Although he says this it’s clear that he enjoys comedy movies the most; the others can’t help but smile when hearing his deep guffaws over anything with Adam Sandler in it. The Waterboy in particular made him laugh so hard that he cried. Likes to sit on the couch in-between Itachi and Konan. Doesnt really care for the snacks that the others have, so will make maybe 5-6 boxes of fish sticks and munch on those the whole evening.
Deidara
Should be no surprise that the guy really, really likes action movies. His favorite series is Die Hard, and every time it’s his turn to pick a film, he’ll pick one of the movies from this franchise. Does the absolute worst John McClane impression, but nobody can point this out without getting a little exploding birdie tossed at their head. He and Tobi are the biggest snack-eaters of the bunch, and he has to have his own bowl of popcorn as he’s banned from the community bowl ((his habit of swallowing popcorn with his hand-mouths weirds out the others to no end)). His favorite sitting position is cross-legged on the floor, usually in front of Konan so she can style/play with with his hair (which he finds really relaxing, the way a child might be soothed by his mother brushing his hair). However he’ll jump up frequently to act out his favorite scenes from the movie, which the others get annoyed by (but are so used to that that don’t really put up too much of a fuss).
Hidan
Hidan is a freak for horror movies. The gorier, the more depraved, the better. If it was anyone other than the Akatsuki watching these movies with him, they would likely be horrified at how the white-haired immortal laughs hysterically at brutal murders. As it is, even this group has a hard time stomaching some of the stuff Hidan likes to watch; Tobi had to lift his mask and vomit on the floor the first time Hidan brought Cannibal Holocaust out to play. Can sometimes be convinced to pick an action movie instead, although it’s very rare. Likes to manspread on the second couch and will munch on a jumbo-sized bag of sour cream and onion chips the whole night.
Sasori
Really into documentaries, and if that wasn’t bad ((boring)) enough, it’s almost always foreign documentaries, so everyone is forced to squint at subtitles for two-three hours. His absolute favorite is a film called Grey Gardens, a 1970’s documentary about two eccentric, aging socialites, and the groans from the other members when he puts this on can be heard clear across the country. Hidan wants to know why he’s “obsessed with two old cunts and their hundred cats” but all Sasori will do is shush him and stare, rapt, at the screen, silently mouthing the words to the picture he knows so well. Of course he doesn’t eat or drink, so he doesn’t take part in the snacks; however will occasionally bring a puppet out with him and slowly work on it during the movies ((but only the others’ movies, as he lays completely and undivided attention to his own)). Like Deidara he prefers to sit on the floor, and will literally growl at anyone who gets too close to his personal space.
Tobi/Obito
As Obito, he would prefer to watch romantic movies. This guy could live off of the flicks they show on the Hallmark channel, and is an absolute sucker for 80’s rom-coms. However, as Tobi, he must do what everyone expects of him, and pick an animated, cartoon, or family-friendly live action movie. In one year the Akatsuki as been made to sit through what must be the entire catalog of Disney and Pixar films. He does the best possible rendition of The Little Mermaid’s “Poor Unfortunate Souls” song, so good and so evilly realistic that it actually gives the others goosebumps; especially at the end when he starts laughing maniacally — it’s like his voice changes completely. They’re also witness to Tobi’s massive breakdowns over anything that depicts a sad or hurt animal. One time Hidan brought home Old Yeller for him, told him it was about a dog “who was a good boy” ... and let the chaos ensue. Likes to sit on the floor next to Deidara (until he gets on the blonde’s nerves and is made to move) and dig into whatever candy is available. Will go to bed with a horrible sugary stomach ache if not properly monitored.
Itachi
Itachi really likes crime-based movies, especially ones depicting an intelligent main character carrying out equally intelligent crimes. He’s tried to get the others to watch The Godfather series with him, but they can only make it through the first hour or so before complaining about how slow-paced it is. His next favorite thing to watch is Taxi Driver, which the others find more tolerable; he mentions all the time how much he “gets” Travis Bickle and his deteriorating mindset. Itachi likes to sit curled up in a blanket at the very end of the couch, sipping sweet tea or hot chocolate and eating dango (if they have it; ice cream if not).
Zetsu
It depends on which Zetsu you’re talking to. White Zetsu likes science fiction movies. He’s made the others watch Alien more times than they can count, and always declares Sigourney Weaver to be his “dream girl”. Black Zetsu, however, is similar to Hidan in that he prefers monstrously gory horror movies, particularly ones from the 70’s and 80’s. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is his go-to, and he likes to say that in anther life, he and Leatherface would have made good Akatsuki partners. If they were watching movies by themselves, their snack of choice would be fresh human entrails. However, as this (understandably) sickens the others, they will stick to a lot of leafy greens/salads.

Note
Hi! Could you maybe do a scenario where the akatsuki find out about deidara’s girlfriend?
The Akatsuki finding out about Deidara’s girlfriend
Itachi
Tumblr media
he would only find out because Kisame’s nosey ass told him
would raise his eyebrows at Kisame in confusion
he honestly just wouldn’t care mind
“I’m telling you Itachi, I saw them holding hands and I ju-”
“Good for them.”
no opinions whatsoever
he knows Deidara is young and fun and it will do him some good
would feel a bit of nostalgia since it would remind him of his old Konoha days and how he could’ve had that type of love too
Kisame
Tumblr media
he would be one of the first ones to find out about Deidara’s girlfriend
one afternoon he was going out for a walk and heard Deidara’s voice
as much as he tried to mind his own business he went to spy on the blonde and was left with his mouth wide open as he saw him holding hands with a mysterious girl
immediately went inside to tell Itachi about it
would randomly stare awkwardly at Deidara after that
“Why are you looking at me like that Kisame? It’s scary.”
“You just look different, I don’t know.”
Itachi would give him a side eye to leave Deidara alone
he’s just so curious about love, let him be pls
Hidan
Tumblr media
oh boy, he would have no chill
“Yo Deidara, your girl is smoking hot!”
“What did you say?! Say it again, I fucking dare you!”
“I said your girl is smoking HOT!”
Konan and Itachi would sigh and rub their own temples
Pain would make Sasori and Kakuzu stop their teammates from killing each other
Hidan would never lose a chance to make Deidara mad
would try and hit you up whenever you come around
Sasori and Kakuzu would want to end it all since Pain keeps making them stop a fight from happening
they really don’t give a shit if they kill each other but you know.. Pain is the man here
deep inside Hidan does all of that because he’s jealous
he’ll never admit it tho
Konan
Tumblr media
would be the most excited one
there’s finally another girl to keep her company even if it’s not everyday
the two of you would instantly become friends
she would think it’s the cutest thing how you and Deidara are dating
would constantly ask Deidara about you
“How’s Y/N? Are you treating her alright? She should come more often.”
would also keep an eye out on Deidara just for you
just like Itachi, she would also feel nostalgic because your relationship reminds her of Yahiko
that’s why she loves when Deidara talks about you and how in love he sounds
it helps her imagine what could’ve been with Yahiko
Kakuzu
Tumblr media
what can I say?
he honestly doesn’t even care
as long as Deidara’s gf doesn’t get in the way of him getting more cash then he doesn’t mind
would kind of be more annoyed at Hidan though
because of the constant fighting and unnecessary screaming going on between him and Deidara
and Pain making him stop a fight from happening
if he sees you around their place he would just go to another room to avoid whatever fight might happen if Hidan’s with him
Sasori
Tumblr media
he would be so... annoyed
no really...like extremely annoyed to the point he would make Deidara feel bad sometimes
at the beginning he would basically ignore Deidara’s girlfriend and that would obviously make Deidara annoyed
“Can’t you even say a ‘hello’ Sasori? She doesn’t bite, you know?”
“You were already annoying, but with a girlfriend you’re surprisingly even more annoying now.”
would sigh too much
it would also annoy Deidara
but after some time he would realize you’re actually nice and you help keep Deidara out of Sasori’s way so he would be thankful for it
he’ll never say it though
Deidara would try to talk to him about you and that’s when he’ll regret ever thinking he’s okay with him having a girlfriend
will be nicer to you if you compliment his puppets tho
Pain
Tumblr media
he was the first one to meet you
only because he thought you were an intruder and had to find out himself
after Deidara explained him you were his girlfriend, he would just look at the two of you with no expression whatsoever
it would be awkward
“As long as she doesn’t get in the way of our mission then I don’t mind.”
“For your information I wasn’t even asking for your permission to d-”
*you step on Deidara’s foot to avoid him from talking back to Pain*
tbh you would be pretty intimidated by him
he would offer you to join Akatsuki
Deidara would turn on his overprotective boyfriend mode
Pain would keep an eye out on you to prevent his plans from failing
Zetsu
Tumblr media
(ok this is only about white Zetsu bc yeah)
would be so confused but intrigued
would also be annoying and ask Deidara questions about you
Deidara would ignore him
except when he’s extra proud of how he managed to have a girlfriend like you then he’ll answer Zetsu’s questions (he would mostly brag about you tho)
is this what young love is?
would spy on the two of you whenever you came around
mostly because Pain ordered him to
but also because he’s curious about how relationships work

The Pain We Share
Chapter THIRTEEN
Sakura continued to supply small pieces of information Sasori and Deidara would have already been aware of had they properly read through the files, but there was not much else they did not know.
"Should we get the other end of the large hole checked out?" Deidara asked.
Sasori glanced over at Sakura, who once again looked lost in her own world. He sighed. "If we put it down in the report, I'm sure someone will be assigned to check it out."
"True, un."
Sakura was fingering at something on the ground. He watched as she scooped at whatever it was with her hands and watched the specks fall back onto the ground between her fingers.
"Aren't you going to stop her?"
Sasori turned to look at his partner. "What?"
Deidara shrugged, a grin on his face. "She's going to be coming back to your room," he reminded him. "You get all prissy when I trek mud onto your floors."
Sasori realized the blond was talking about the dirt. He looked at Sakura again. "She can wash her hands," he muttered.
Deidara's grin widened, but Sasori pretended not to see it.
They departed from the base later that day and arrived at the headquarters before the sun had fully set. A messenger was waiting for them at the gates, no doubt having been alerted of their return by the pieces of Konan's paper which all members kept on their person.
"Leader requests your presence in his office as soon as possible," they were told.
Sasori thanked the man and dismissed him. The three of them decided to make a quick detour to their rooms to at least change. He moved into the bathroom before doing so because Sakura appeared to have no qualms with stripping out of her own dirty clothes in the middle of the room. He listened for the sound of clothes dropping onto the ground and waited a while longer, just to be safe, before he exited.
Her casual, non-outdoor clothes were more suited to her size, or rather, did not appear to bother her as much. They had been Konan's, after all. She straightened the shirt and ran her hands through her hair before turning back towards him.
Sasori eyed the stack of clothes the girl had grabbed at the hideout, which all appeared to have been specially made for outdoors and missions, and he wondered if she had ever owned a casual piece of clothing before. He informed Sakura on where she could get her clothes cleaned, then suggested she simply leave it with his pile, since he had planned on sending out his own washing after he took a bath later that day anyways.
"Either way you're going to have to sit in those clothes for a while longer."
Sakura shrugged and hugged the clothes she had taken from the hideout closer to herself. "That's okay."
Sasori simply nodded. He held open the door for the girl, and the two of them began making their way back up towards Nagato's office. As they approached, Sasori heard his partner's voice and knew he was already there. He could hear Konan scolding Deidara for tracking dirt into the base and the blond frantically trying to explain that bone shards had rained down on them and that it was probably that. He rolled his eyes and turned towards Sakura, a snarky comment on the tip of his tongue, and blinked when he found her looking right at him, as though she too had turned to gauge his reaction. Sakura was the first to avert her eyes and he felt a sudden surge of satisfaction.
The girl might not know how deep the bond between them ran, but it was reassuring to know that he, too, was able to have some effect on her.
"Let's go?" He asked.
Sakura nodded. "Yes."
Sasori knocked, opened the door, gestured for her to go first, then closed the door behind him.
Not all of the Akatsuki were present in the room, but Nagato, Yahiko and Konan were all there. Deidara dramatically gestured for Sasori and Sakura to enter before allowing the door to close behind himself. Nagato gestured to the empty chairs and Sasori made sure Sakura was seated before he took a seat beside her.
"Welcome back," Yahiko began. "I trust you ran into no problems?"
Sasori shrugged. "We ran into none of Orochimaru's men," he said. "No signs any of them returned to the base either."
Yahiko nodded and shared a glance with Nagato.
Nagato turned to Sakura. "Is there anything you would like to share with us?" He asked gently.
Sakura seemed to contemplate things for a moment before she lowered her head. "I am, was, usually stationed elsewhere. The Northern hideout was ruled, I guess you could say, by someone else. I just happened to be there when you took it down."
Nagato glanced up at Konan. "Could you identify your base for us?"
Konan spread a map out on the table and Sasori recognized all their current intel on Orochimaru's strongholds neatly mapped out. There was a red cross over where the Northern base had been. Sakura leaned forward and her hand hovered over it. "Mine," she said and placed a finger on the paper.
Nagato hummed. "The South is a little down on our list of priorities," he said. "But your knowledge on it would become useful when the time comes."
Sakura nodded. "That makes sense. The North was probably the worst of it. I'll tell you everything I know," she promised.
"Anything else?"
"There were no signs of Orochimaru's men and there were no reports of them from any of the patrols either," Sasori repeated. "The clean up of the base should end within the next four days anyway."
Nagato leaned back, looking pleased. "That'll be all for today," he said.
"We expect the written report s soon as possible," Konan said, and Deidara made a face.
"Of course," Sasori said. "If that's all..." he stood up and Sakura followed without a second thought.
"Oh, Sasori!"
He turned around to face Konan. "Yes?"
"We've put in a few off days for you," she said. "Why don't you show Sakura around the base more properly? I'm afraid we can't allow her outside the base yet." Konan looked apologetic.
Sakura shrugged. "I don't mind." She turned to him and Sasori nodded.
"Sounds good."
Deidarara raised a hand. "How about me, un?"
Konan blinked. "I guess you'll be off by default, your partner being off and all."
"Wow, am I an extra? Thanks, un."
Konan laughed. "Enjoy it while you can."
Deidara waved over his shoulder as Sasori led Sakura out of the office. Once outside, Sasori turned to Sakura. "Dinner first?"
Sakura nodded.
"Where're you eating?" Deidara asked eagerly. "Can I join?"
"No," Sasori said immediately. When Sakura blinked in surprise, he turned to her. "He's annoying," he explained.
Sakura's lips twitched and she ducked her head. Sasori could swear she was laughing.
"Hey!"
Sasori ignored his friend as he led the way towards the dining hall. "Let's grab something to eat, then retreat to my room," he said. "We can have the clothes sent out for cleaning; they'll probably be done by tomorrow night."
Sakura's eyes brightened and she nodded eagerly. "Okay."
"Are you ignoring me, un?"
"I think Itachi stored the leftovers from last night in the fridge; he usually does."
"I don't mind."
"HEY! DON'T. IGNORE. ME. UN!"
Sasori pushed through doing just that and was relatively amused when Sakura seemed willing to go with it. She did look uneasy as he closed the dining-room door behind himself and in Deidara's face, but he knew that his partner was acting up for the sake of acting up and the most retaliation he would get was extra explosives in his bombs the next time they sparred.
"Don't worry," he said. "He isn't really angry."
Sakura turned away from the door to look at him, and she nodded after a while. "Oh."
He raided the fridge, pleased to see that someone had, indeed, left last night's leftovers. He grabbed the containers and heated them up while he grabbed two sets of bowls, utensils, and water. Sakura took them from him when he held them up and he ran chakra to his hands to pick up the now hot boxes of food. He flicked a finger to send out chakra strings, opening the door again, and they made their way back to his room in comfortable silence.
"You heard Konan," he said after a while. "I have no missions for the next few days. I know you left the base just earlier, but being stuck inside in general is probably rather boring. There is an open area where we train and while I am unable to undo your chakra restraints, it still is somewhere you can stretch your legs. Perhaps find someone to spar with, even."
Sakura looked rather interested and Sasori felt himself smirking. "I will take you after we eat."
The pinkette nodded eagerly.
When Sasori and Sakura arrive at the training clearing Hidan and Kakuzu are already there, beating the crap out of each other. Sakura paused to stare in what he suspected to be morbid fascination as the two men ignored what clearly appeared to be fatal injuries as they dance around each other.
Finally, after a while, they broke apart, glaring and panting. Hidan was letting out a string of curses and Kakuzu looked less than impressed, eyes narrowed and fingers clenching.
"They're always like that," Sasori said. "At each other's throats."
Sakura tore her gaze away from them. "Are they truly immortal?"
Sasori couldn't quite remember if he had been the one to tell her that. Perhaps she had known from one of the files Orochimaru surely kept on them. "They're zombies," he told her. "Or cockroaches. You don't really know if they're killable, and just when you think they're dead they come crawling back."
"I can hear you bastard!"
"I find the thought of being on the same level as this idiot honestly offending, Sasori, and I request you take back your statement."
Sasori rolled his eyes in the direction of the zombie duo. Sakura looked thoughtful, and she turned back to him. "The strings you made earlier," she said. "How did you do that?"
Sasori blinked. He thought back to how he had used chakra strings to open the door. "This?" He held up a finger and created a chakra string. It shot out, wrapped around a small rock a little away, and brought it back to him.
Sakura nodded. "I assume your chakra works outwards," she said. "My chakra mostly works inside of me." She paused, hand instinctively going up to her collar, and Sasori tried to look anywhere but at it. Fortunately, Sakura seemed to shrug it off. "And I was curious."
"It feels like an extension of my limbs," he explained. "When you say your chakra works inside of you...?"
"My healing and enhanced strength come from me channeling my chakra to places around my body," Sakura replied. "When I punch things, that chakra is transferred as force into the object I hit. Still, it's not exactly the same as being able to command chakra into a visible, almost physical form.
Sasori leaned in, interested. Like Sakura was getting at, Sasori's chakra acted as an extension of himself, but he could not mould it with equal precision within himself. He could do it if he tried, but the speed in which he could do so was definitely too slow for him to consider it an option when in battle. The decision to punch someone could come in a split second when in combat, and the fact that Sakura could channel chakra into her limb in the following second it might take to get into a stance was fascinating.
The doors to the training grounds opened and Deidara let his entrance be known with a loud greeting. Sasori ignored the blond, who made a beeline towards Hidan to apparently pick up on a fight from earlier, which had been momentarily broken up by Konan. Sasori mentally patted himself on the back for retreating to his room for lunch and in turn avoiding the mess altogether.
Now that he thought about it, however, perhaps it was different for everyone? His affinity towards manipulating chakra outside made it difficult for him to do the same within his body. "I have difficulties moulding chakra within my body," he admitted. "Perhaps it's simply a matter of affinity."
Sakura thought this through. "Makes sense," she agreed.
An explosion cut through their conversation and Sasori glanced over his shoulder. Hidan and Deidara were now engaged in what he supposed was a spar, but really looked like the two were just trying to kill each other.
"How about your healing?" He asked curiously. Sakura's openness in talking about her abilities was a little surprising, but he was more than willing to go with it. "All your injuries were gone even though you were unconscious."
"I can't explain it well, mainly because I'm usually unconscious when it happens," Sakura said, smiling softly. "But when I'm awake, I channel my chakra to wherever I'm hurt, just like if I were trying to hit something. Orochimaru-sama once told me my chakra speeds up the natural healing of my body."
Sasori made a face at the pinkette's respectful title for Orochimaru. "I-"
There was another explosion, this one much louder than before. The ground seemed to shake and small pieces of debris showered down onto them. Sakura had jumped to her feet the moment the loud sound had gone off and she looked around, eyes wide.
"DANNA!" Deidara shouted from across the room. "LOOK OUT!"
Sasori's head snapped up, eyeing the ceiling. The room was reinforced to be able to withstand chakra based attacks, and he wondered why his blond friend was throwing around bombs that created cracks on such reinforced material. There was another cracking sound and Sasori tried to remember what was located on the floor above them because he was sure the ceiling was going to cave and he was also sure Nagato was not going to be pleased. He raised his hands, fingers spread and chakra flaring, ready to make sure none of the debris crushed any of them so that the two idiots could live to feel his wrath, when Sakura stepped up beside him.
Sasori blinked, caught off guard, as the ceiling came crashing down seconds later. The pinkette clenched her fist, pulled it back, and proceeded to shatter the biggest body of debris that came at them.
Silence followed. Sasori eyed the chakra suppressing collar, the supposed to chakra suppressing collar, then turned to stare at Sakura, who stared back at him as though she hadn't just used chakra, which she shouldn't be able to use, to shatter a reinforced slab of rock, which should be incredibly resistant to chakra based force, into a bajillion tiny pieces.
Sakura blinked before she looked at her hands, then touched her collar. "Oh," she breathed. "Oops."

He Asks You To Move In- Akatsuki
Request: No
Fandom: Naruto Shippuden
Character(s): The Akatsuki
Words:1764
A/N: I love love loved writing this!! Who doesn’t love some Akatsuki fluff??
Story:
Pein: He planned the entire thing before you got home. It was a long day of missions and all you really wanted was the have a bath and just relax for the rest of the night. That was why, when you walked through to your bathroom to find your bath occupied by your pierced boyfriend. A blush covered his face and chest as he noticed you standing in the doorway. You raised an eyebrow but stripped once he gestured for you to get in the bath.  "What's all this about?" you inquired. You stepped into the hot water and leaned against his toned chest. His arms circled around you and he rested his chin on your shoulder. "I wanted to ask you something." Your entire body tensed and you tried to put the pieces together. Nothing came to mind so you focused your breathing and tried to relax. You felt rather than heard him chuckle behind you and he kissed your shoulder in reassurance. "How would you feel about moving in with me?" If you were drinking you would have spat it all over the place. With your heart thrumming in your chest you turned so you could lock eyes with him. He was completely serious so you pressed your lips firmly against his and nodded. A smile spread across his face as he asked if you were saying yes.  "Yes, I'd love to move in with you, Pein." He kissed you harder this time, water and bubbles flying out of the bath but neither of you noticed as you started planning and making mental lists on what to buy and where.
Itachi: He wanted it to be special so he treated you to a fancy dinner at your favourite restaurant. It was after the appetisers that he finally asked you. He was so excited and nervous about it, it wasn't like he was proposing or anything but he wanted you to know he thought moving in was a big step and big deal so he kissed your knuckles and stared you right in the eyes. "Y/N, I want you to know I love you very much," you blushed at his words, "so I wanted to know if you would move in with me?" You stopped chewing your bread and blinked at him not once, not twice but three times before you swallowed your food. After finishing your mouthful you smiled at him and gave him you answer: "Of course, Itachi." Kisame: He was a blushing mess when he asked you. He stumbled over his words and even fell into the pool. He'd asked you to meet him by the water later that day and when you arrived, you found him dangling his feet in the water. You joined him on the edge of the pool with a kiss on his cheek. That caused a wild blush to cover his cheeks which was odd for Kisame considering all you did was kiss his cheek. Since the two of you got together his mad blushing had decreased so you found it reasonable to ask him if he was alright. "I-I-I want t-t-to um..." He trailed off as you stared at him expectantly. "Yes?" "Will you move in with me?!" He asked it so quickly and loudly that you barely caught it. Luckily for the both of you, you understood what he asked you and you agreed. His eyes widened and it was when you repeated your answer that he fell into the pool, splashing you in the process. He swam back to the surface to find you laughing, causing him to do so as well. Hidan: You groaned as you nearly slipped on one of his shirts. A curse flew from you mouth which made Hidan -who was face down on the mattress- raise an eyebrow. You picked up said shirt and held it between your fingers. "How can you live like this? If I lived here I'd probably break my neck anytime I wanted to go to the bathroom." He turned his face in your direction and watched as you placed the shirt on his chair.  "Maybe you should live here," the comment was so innocent that it took you a moment to register what he said.  You asked him to repeat what he said, which he did. Your breath caught in your throat and a smile climbed onto your lips. You pounced on the Jashinist's back and peppered kisses across his shoulders and back of his neck. He hummed under your actions and you pressed your forehead to his back. "You're really asking me to move in?" "Yeah, dumbass." Kakuzu: It was over a drink that he asked you. The two of your were winding down from a long bounty hunt and were just talking about random things. Although, it mainly centred around the bounty and how much money the two of you earned. You knew there was something on his mind when he bought your drink without complaining about the price. You inquired as to what it was and he said he had a query to run past you. You chuckled at his phrasing but gestured for him to go ahead. "There's this woman that I want to ask to move in with me, but I don't know how to. What would you suggest?" Your heart stung for a moment, he said it with such a troubled voice that you believed it to be another woman.Perhaps even a new recruit. However, when you saw the mirth in his eyes and his mask lift up with a smirk you refrained from strangling him. You then pretended to think before you turned to him with a smirk of your own. "You should buy her another drink and ask her properly." He chuckled and ordered another drink for the both of you, "Do you want to move in with me, Y/N?" "Yes, Kakuzu, I do." Sasori: He wrote it on a note and left it in his office. It was when you went looking for him that you found the note. It was simple, there wasn't even a question mark attached. It simply read: "We are moving in together." You were more frustrated than shocked. Was it too much to ask that he tell you in person, or even ask!? You found him in the living room and confronted him about it. You held the note in front of his face and cleared your throat. he stared at you blankly. "Please explain," you tried to keep calm. "What is there to explain. It is written in the note." You rolled your eyes and handed him back the note. "Ask me then." He stared at the note then at you. He handed it back to you with a confused expression. "We are moving in together... Unless you do not want to?" You sighed again and placed yourself in his lap, "Of course I want to, I just wish you'd have asked." He nodded and you grinned up at him before giving him a slow kiss. Deidara: He knew it was cliché the moment he thought of it but he knew it would make you smile. He took you to the cliff where you first met and told you stand at the top. You giggled and complied. The sun set a few minutes ago and it was clear night. With one arm around your shoulders the other threw a couple of clay birds into the air. They exploded to reveal beautiful colours and letters. Those letters arranged to say, "Will you move in with me?" Another giggle escaped you and you turned into his arms, your own draping around his neck. You hummed in thought, making him shift on his feet whilst his hands were on your waist. You glanced between his hopeful face and the beautiful fireworks. "I suppose I can move a few things around..." He grinned at you before crushing you in a hug. You pulled back and pecked his lips which turned into a longer, deeper kiss. "You're such a tease, unn." Tobi: You weren't sure that he was serious when he mentioned it. He didn't exactly ask you, nor did he demand it was happening. It was more of a suggestion, a hint that it would be okay to do so. It was whilst you were watching a movie and Tobi was giddy from all the sugar he consumed. There was a scene where the newly established couple were moving in together and you sighed happily. "Could you imagine living in a house like that?" He was silent for a moment before answering, "Tobi would like to live with Y/N!" You nearly choked on your popcorn. When he said nothing else you brushed it off and returned your attention back to the film. It was near to the end when Tobi spoke once again. "Does Y/N think it would be fun?" "Think what would be fun?" Your eyes were still glued to the TV. "Living with Tobi!" You brushed the cobwebs from your brain and turned to face him. He patiently waited for your reply and you opened your mouth a few times before finally asking, "Tobi, are you asking me to move in with you?" He chuckled, "that took you a minute." You sent him a half-hearted glare, "Then, yes, I guess it would be fun." "Is Y/N saying yes?!" You winked, "that took you a minute." Zetsu: It was a good thing it was a nice day lest his plan not work. He arrange your flowers and other smaller flowers and leaves in the perfect order. He took pride in his small creation and waited for you to join him. He knew if he asked you outright he might make it sound strange or not do it correctly so he let his garden do the talking. If he were a teenage girl he would have squealed when he saw you walk through the garden gates. You waved at him with a smile and he composed himself. He told you to close your eyes which you did with a giggle. He moved you over to his creation and told you to slowly open your eyes. When you saw the beautifully arranged sentence in front of you tears threatened to fall. His black side demanded to know why you were crying whilst his white side was worried. You waved him off and laughed.  "I'm just happy." That statement stunned him into silence. You read it once again, ‘Move in with me?’ "Oh," you turned back to him and kissed his cheek with a blush, "I will."
If you liked this then please think of buying me a coffee.

Concrete Flower ~ Chapter 3 Pairing: ItaSaku what am i supposed to grow into?
Chapter 2 | ffnet
Sakura wasn’t quite sure what had happened, or how it had, but somehow in the two weeks since classes had started, Deidara had not only figured out where she lived, he’d taken to “dropping by”. It wasn’t all bad, considering he usually brought food or sweets with him, and once even alcohol, and he’d given Ino such invaluable hair maintenance advice, the blonde swore she was forever in his debt. Dramatic as ever. So, when their doorbell rang on a quiet Saturday afternoon, then, she was not at all surprised. Really, she was just relieved her and Ino were diligent about locking the door so the manic blonde didn’t have a chance to just barge in whenever he liked. Which, if she knew her art tutor at all, was something he would definitely do. On a daily basis. She didn’t quite understand just why he’d taken such a liking to her; she had minimal artistic talents and she wasn’t a supremely interesting person to begin with. She could imagine someone with his energy growing attached to someone more like Ino, but not her. Sakura sighed as the doorbell rang again, followed by insistent banging on her door. She knew from experience that in thirty seconds he would start blowing up her phone. Resigned, she slipped her feet into her slippers before shuffling to the door. Ino poked her head out of her bedroom door, face covered in a blue mask and perfectly plucked eyebrows furrowed.
“What does he want now?” she asked incredulously. Ino had taken the continual assault of his presence on their apartment pretty well, all things considered. Better than Sakura, anyway, who now met him with a certain degree of annoyance whenever he rang their doorbell.
Sakura shrugged somewhat helplessly before unlocking their door and opening it slowly. Ino disappeared into the bathroom to clean her face of the mask. Sakura faced the opening door, sighing as she prepared herself for Deidara’s characteristic exuberance. The sun had almost set so the light didn’t blind her so much as the sight waiting for her surprised her.
“Uh,” she said stupidly, not prepared to be faced with not only Deidara’s brilliant smile but also Kisame’s huge frame when she opened her door. Grocery bags dangled from Kisame’s forearms and he smiled at her with pointed teeth. They were both dressed casually, jeans and t-shirts, Deidara holding a jacket slung over his arm. While Kisame looked about the same as usual, Deidara’s silky blonde hair – that he kept perfectly maintained, as Sakura had learned during one of his many lectures – was perfectly styled as to appear not styled at all, thrown up into a ponytail with a few strands falling to frame his angular face. He was the only man Sakura had ever known who sported eyeliner daily and his eyes were rimmed with it now, making the blue of them even brighter. The cheery smile on his face did not waver at her less than enthusiastic greeting. She blinked at them slowly, unable to completely process the image after spending hours scrutinizing Tsunade’s textbook. Kisame had never come with Deidara on one of his numerous visits; none of their other friends had come, actually.
“Hey Pinkie,” Kisame greeted jovially, like this wasn’t an awkward situation and Sakura wasn’t dressed in boxers, a huge neon yellow t-shirt from high school, and her fluffy white cat slippers. Basically pajamas at almost five in the afternoon. She ignored the stupid nickname as she realized just what she looked like. A mess. Her hair was a disaster, tied hastily back into a loose bun that was now falling apart. She couldn’t remember exactly if she had even brushed it today and she was keenly aware of the fact she hadn’t yet showered and her legs were prickly with hair.
“Hello?” she asked more than said. She automatically opened the door wider, allowing them to traipse on in, Deidara immediately flinging himself onto the couch and Kisame setting the groceries down on the counter. Why did he keep buying them groceries? What was all of it for? Could she even fit it all in her kitchen?
“I’m making dinner, remember?” Kisame said, raising an eyebrow. Sakura stared at him blankly because no, she did not remember making any such plans considering she’d hardly talked to Kisame since the karaoke bar, only running into him a couple times on campus. She didn’t even have his number. He frowned as the silence stretched on and she remained dumbfounded, suddenly whirling to face Deidara, who was smirking on the couch. Kisame pointed an accusing finger at the blonde.
“You didn’t tell her?” he nearly roared, looking completely unsurprised.
“Oops, slipped my mind,” Deidara responded breezily. “I also forgot to tell you Itachi, Baby Sasuke, and the blond moron are coming too. Oh, and Sasori said he could swing by as well.”
Sakura blinked. “There are some that would argue you’re the blond moron,” she pointed out dully when she could form words. She derived perhaps too much pleasure from Deidara’s indignant sputters, Kisame howling with laughter.
“Kisame is making dinner?” Ino chimed in, finally making her appearance, face clean of any mud mask. She was at least a little more presentable than Sakura, dressed in black leggings and a loose t-shirt. Her smooth hair was pulled tightly into a ponytail and she frowned at the groceries inquisitively. “What’s the dish, chef?” she asked, completely ignoring the fact no one had even asked either of their permission to plan a dinner party in their apartment.
“Nothin’ too fancy, curry and rice,” Kisame said. Ino smiled, pleased. She padded over to take a seat next to the other blond, tucking her feet underneath her knees. “Deidara insisted we bring dessert too, so we brought stuff to make cookies with.”
Sakura arched an eyebrow at Deidara, who shrank a little under her gaze. “And we brought ice cream,” he offered in a small voice. Sakura narrowed her eyes.
“What kind?”
“Strawberry.”
She stared at him for a few minutes more before relaxing, smiling a little bit to show she’d forgiven him. “What time is this supposed to start?” she finally thought to ask, suddenly reminded of her deplorable attire. Really, was she going to have to start looking presentable all the time now? Where exactly did Deidara live that he could drop by so much? It dawned on her that she had completely disregarded the fact that Itachi was coming over, as well as the complete yet frequently mentioned stranger Sasori. He was apparently a business major and also worked for a big security company as an intern. Sakura had yet to meet him but knew that he and Deidara had been friends from middle school before they met Kisame and Itachi in high school. She almost felt like she did know him from how much Deidara mentioned him but he’d never met her and thus, she felt like she should probably change. And maybe shower.
“I told them to come in about an hour, so we have about thirty minutes until Itachi shows up. He’s annoyingly early, always,” Deidara answered with a lazy roll of his eyes. Ino played on her phone next to him, but Sakura could see her ears metaphorically perking up at the mention of the older Uchiha brother. She wondered if Ino’s unrequited crush on Sasuke from their early middle school years had anything to do with her fascination. Or if it was solely because of his interactions with Sakura. He’d kept his word and showed up at Art Club yet again that week and Ino had been positively gleeful, despite the fact nothing of importance had happened between them. Sakura nearly regretted telling her.
Kisame snickered. “You’re just mad because you’re late to literally everything,” the blue-skinned man pointed out. Deidara stuck his tongue out at him, pulling his phone out as it chimed.
“I wasn’t late to this,” he retorted. His brightened at whatever he read on the screen and he began rapidly typing a response.
“You made me wait for you for fifteen minutes,” Kisame deadpanned and Sakura laughed. Deidara stuck his tongue out again and went back to focusing on his phone.
Sakura stretched her arms over her head. “Well, in that case I’m going to shower and get dressed,” she informed them. Ino’s “good idea” was followed by Kisame’s insistence she looked fine and Deidara’s even more persistent response to the negative.
Sakura left them to debate her appearance, hopping in the shower where she let the hot water wash away her anxiety for the evening. She hadn’t been prepared to host a sudden dinner party. She didn’t know Sasori, barely knew Itachi, and Naruto ate enough for three people on a daily basis so she was worried they wouldn’t have enough food. Also, why couldn’t she make any girl friends? Her and Ino were surrounded by boys who were beginning to make themselves at home in their apartment and lives. Sakura just doubted a girl friend would be quite as tactless as the boys she interacted with daily. And she probably wouldn’t eat all their food. Yes, Sakura was really beginning to like the idea of her imaginary female friend.
She stepped out of the shower fifteen minutes later, letting her hair down so she could brush it out. She wrapped a towel around her before she hurried to her room. Using Ino’s clothes as a guide, she threw on her own pair of leggings and a large grey shirt with the black design of a cat on it that hung off one shoulder. Her sports bra could be seen but she didn’t really care; it wasn’t like Sasuke was going to ogle her throughout dinner, after all. Or his attractive older brother for that matter.
She tied her long hair back into a much more neat ponytail before rejoining her friends in her living room. Ino was directing Kisame to the pots and pans he needed and Deidara had already dug into the ice cream, spoon still in his mouth as he texted someone.
“You’ll ruin your appetite,” Sakura chided as she grabbed her own spoon and took a seat in front of him, scooping a giant chunk of it. “How long until dinner?” she asked around her mouthful.
“About half an hour,” Kisame answered. Ino offered up water; it was really the only beverage they had since they had polished off the sake that week, and Deidara shook his head at it.
“Itachi will be bringing drinks,” he informed them.
Sakura frowned. “If you guys had bothered to tell us about this dinner, we could’ve bought some things,” she said huffily. She felt bad they were basically paying for an entire dinner for seven people. And also cooking it. Ino nodded along emphatically to her words, glaring remorsefully at the blond lounging on their couch. Deidara chuckled, patting Sakura’s head.
“Don’t worry about a thing,” he reassured her. “You’re first years and probably broke; if we didn’t feed you, you’d almost starve to death. Just wait until final exams roll around, you’ll think of us as godsends.”
“Or at the very least, nice people,” Kisame amended for him. Ino huffed with laughter at the torn expression of betrayal on Deidara’s face at his friend’s decidedly less dramatic version. “Really, we just wanted to cook something, and neither of our apartments are viable options considering none of us can clean for shit, so yours was the only option.”
Sakura was surprised; she had imagined Itachi as a rather neat person. It was hard to reconcile that image with a messy room belonging to him.
Kisame continued, waving a wooden spoon in the air she didn’t even know they owned as he did so. “Itachi is a neat enough person on his own, his room is spotless, but I’m a fucking mess and neither of us have time to clean our disaster of a kitchen. And both Sasori and Deidara are complete slobs so there’s no hope there either.”
“You’re all paired off?” Ino asked, handing Kisame an apron, the only one they owned. A frilly pink one with white bunnies all over it that he put on without so much as a blush, tying it back nonchalantly and grinning his thanks to her. It looked absolutely comical on his huge, buff frame and Sakura had to keep from choking on her ice cream at the sight of it. She grabbed her phone to snap a picture, swallowing her mouthful and cackling. She doubted she could use it as blackmail seeing as he didn’t seem to care but it was funny nonetheless.
Deidara beamed down at her, looking at the picture on her phone. “It’s good to hear you laugh, yeah,” he said softly, almost too softly for her to hear. She blushed, locking her phone once more. She hadn’t meant to laugh like that, not so loudly and suddenly. It was awkward and sounded wrong coming from her.
“Yeah, we couldn’t find any apartments big enough for the four of us that we could afford so we split into two’s,” Kisame hummed, completely unaware that his picture had just been taken.
They continued in silence except for Deidara’s phone chiming and his indignant cry when Sakura closed the ice cream and put it away. Ten minutes later there was a knock at the door and considering she was currently advising Naruto on what to wear over text message – convincing him he needed to at least wear a clean shirt was much more difficult than it should be – Sakura could bet it was probably Itachi or the mysterious Sasori.
“I’ll get it,” Ino sang, prancing to the door and flinging it open. “Welcome!”
There stood, actually, both of the men, wearing identical expressions of surprise at being greeted by the perky blonde girl. Deidara stood and cheered, waving them in while Sakura hastily got to her feet to offer some water before remembering that the bags in their hands probably held much better drinks.
“Come in,” Deidara called. They entered and Sakura was able to get a look at Sasori for the first time.
He was dressed as casually as Deidara, slim dark jeans and a white t-shirt with clean boots. His red hair fell down his forehead and brushed his eyelashes and Sakura watched as he pushed it back, irritated. He had a thin mouth currently pulled into the most deadpan, yet somehow exasperated look she’d ever seen on someone. She could hear him chiding Deidara about planning a dinner at someone else’s house without actually telling them but she paid no attention, gazing at Itachi instead. He was greeting Ino, asking her some polite questions. He was dressed more formally than any of them in a dark blue button up and jeans, but somehow he pulled it off with a sort of nonchalance that was typical of the Uchiha brothers. His dark hair was perfect, of course, and he was overall just so irritatingly gorgeous and covered in a sort of enviable calm confidence that Sakura kind of wanted to punch him in the face.
She turned her attention back to Sasori, with some effort, and plastered a smile on her face.
“I’m Sakura,” she introduced herself.
The man turned to observe her with cool, but not unkind eyes. “Sasori,” he said with a slight incline of his head. “I’m sorry Deidara did this to you, I’ve tried to teach him better manners.”
“Hey! They’re grateful!”
“It’s alright,” Sakura said, her smile softening into a genuine one at the gentleness of his voice. She didn’t even blink as he sucker punched Deidara in the stomach, leaving him wheezing for air and cursing breathlessly at his red-haired roommate. “I just hope Kisame is as good a cook as he says he is.”
“Oi!” Kisame shouted, obvious shock in his voice. “I’m a fucking fantastic cook.”
“One with a potty mouth,” Sakura called back, leading them into her living room. “Naruto and Sasuke will be here any minute.” She nearly laughed at how joyful Deidara looked at the mention of Sasuke, who he apparently had enjoyed torturing for years now. She had to admit, it was pretty hilarious to watch. She could see why Itachi had never put an end to it. Someone ruffling Sasuke’s feathers like that was a sight to behold.
Itachi placed the grocery bags on the table, pulling out some juices and sodas as well as bottles of sake, which Ino eyed hungrily.
“So, do we want to pretend to be civilized before we eat, or should we just go straight for the alcohol?” Deidara mused, a slim finger pressed to his chin as he seriously contemplated their choices. Itachi rolled his eyes silently, going to sit on the couch. Sakura pointedly avoided his eyes, hating the way they looked through her own. Deidara had apparently gotten over the bodily harm Sasori had inflicted as he looked to his roommate for an answer to their dilemma. Sasori himself sat down on the couch beside Itachi, leaning back and shrugging carelessly.
“Up to our hosts,” he murmured, turning to where Ino contemplated the drinks from the small kitchen. Kisame nodded his agreement from behind her. They all turned to her and she frowned with the seriousness of the decision. Sakura nearly smiled.
“Ino?” she asked, deciding to take her lead considering Ino was much more versed in social situations than Sakura.
“Civilized first, at least until we get some food in our stomachs,” Ino declared decisively. They all nodded their approval and Sakura reached for a juice, flinching back when her fingers brushed Itachi’s.
“Sorry,” she mumbled and he shook his head, withdrawing his hand. She hated the way her voice shook.
“It’s yours,” he said and she nodded her thanks, snatching it up and opening it hastily.
He looked almost concerned and she averted her eyes, hating the way heat was flushing up her neck and spreading to her cheeks. She hadn’t meant to have such a visceral reaction to him. From her side, Deidara watched the proceedings with sharp interest, sharing a meaningful look with Sasori, who arched his eyebrow.
“Sakura, what’s your major again?” Sasorie asked bluntly.
She blinked at him, lips wrapped around her juice as she drank it and savored the sweetness, not used to the directness of his words. “I’m pre-med,” she answered, lowering her juice. Sasori hummed thoughtfully, a water bottle dangling from his fingers.
“Deidara tells me you’re a business major,” she continued, drinking more of the juice. Sasori nodded and Itachi opened his mouth to speak when suddenly their front door banged open, Sakura cursing as she realized she had forgotten to lock it behind Itachi and Sasori.
“We’re here,” Naruto bellowed.
“We can see that, idiot,” Ino snapped.
Deidara threw Sakura a meaningful look. “Who’s the blond idiot again?”
She sighed.
Kisame, it turned out, was an excellent cook. Sakura nearly moaned with pleasure as she ate the curry and rice. Ino was delighted, asking a million and one questions and promising to cook it for Sakura the next chance they got. Kisame was grinning boastfully, still in his pink apron absolutely nobody had blinked an eye at except Naruto and Sasuke. The younger Uchiha bore Deidara’s teasing somewhat more tolerantly now that he had good food in front of him. Sasori began passing around the sake and Sakura threw back a shot of it, relieved. Interacting with so many new people at once meant she was constantly on edge and she was glad for something to dull it. The warmth of it sank into her stomach, spreading to her limbs and she closed her eyes to enjoy it more fully.
The conversation flowed easily, aided by the sake and Deidara’s natural friendliness. Once the food was gone, Sakura offered to make the cookies; she would be a disgrace to her mother if she didn’t know how to bake and didn’t at least offer. Itachi also volunteered to help and with her nerves dulled by the alcohol, she readily agreed. He followed her into the small kitchen while everybody else settled in the living room, having an animated discussion about the newest drama Kisame was watching.
“I’m telling you, he’s going to die!” Kisame bellowed, pointing a finger at Sasuke, who rolled his eyes and shook his head.
“It’s too early to tell,” he argued and Kisame scoffed.
“Maybe for a baby like you,” he taunted. Deidara cackled and Sasuke flushed, dark eyes narrowing.
Sakura smiled to herself, pulling out bowls and measuring cups while Itachi washed some of the dishes that had accumulated from dinner. She began measuring out the dry ingredients, humming to herself and letting her mind wander as her hands automatically made a recipe she had memorized a long time ago. She watched as Itachi, now bearing the pink frilly apron much to the amusement of his friends, cleaned the dishes, his eyes narrowed with focus. He looked hilarious, even if Sakura hadn’t been a little drunk. Dressed in a bright pink apron and using pastel blue gloves to wash dishes, the scene was ridiculously domestic. He looked up suddenly, eyes meeting hers, and she blinked. Caught.
“I’ll buy a new apron,” she blurted. His brow furrowed in confusion. She pointed at the one he was wearing. “For next time,” she clarified, mentally berating herself for her awkwardness.
“I’ll buy one for you guys.”
The sudden smile that spread across Itachi’s face was startling though still soft. His voice was a low, smooth sound as he chuckled and she smiled back, relaxing a fraction.
“Next time?” he questioned. She paled. Had she been assuming there would even be a next time? Had that been a mistake? Was he going to think she was presumptuous and weird, wanting this eclectic bunch of boys back in her apartment?
“Then you should buy one this week; I think Deidara mentioned making Saturday dinners a regular thing.”
Sakura nearly laughed until she registered what he had said.
“You’re joking,” she whispered in horror. He chuckled again, turning back to the dishes to dry them. He pulled off the gloves and spared her another glance, smiling at the look on her face as she paused her movements over the bowl.
“Not joking,” he answered. “You know how he is.”
She sighed, pressing the heel of her flour-covered palm to her forehead.
“I should’ve known,” she moaned, moving to grab an egg. She cracked it open carefully, just as her mother had taught her, mixing in the yolk gently before adding the second egg. She wondered briefly if she would make enough for all of them, considering Naruto could and would stuff his face with anything and everything. And Kisame could match him, mouthful for mouthful. Humming, she figured she could eat her ice cream instead of cookies to leave more for everyone else. Nodding decisively, she started to stir the batter, making sure to break apart any huge lumps of flour and baking soda as she did so. Absorbed in her work, she didn’t notice that Itachi had drawn closer until her elbow bumped him and she jumped about a foot in the air. He smiled a gentle apology, nodding his head toward the batter.
“Anything you need me to do?” he asked.
Sakura was tempted to say no just to get him out of her kitchen but she nodded instead. She blamed the alcohol for her sudden boldness. She jerked her head to the bag of chocolate chips next to her bowl.
“Could you start pouring some of those in while I mix?”
Itachi nodded, grabbing the bag and cutting it open, hesitating right before he moved to pour it in. His brow furrowed again, as it did whenever he was concentrating on something she was beginning to notice. “How much should I pour?” he asked suddenly in a hushed voice, obviously very concerned about the exact amount of chocolate chips he should be pouring in. Sakura nearly burst out laughing at the solemnity of his expression. Did he take everything so seriously, even baking cookies? For some reason, she could easily imagine him performing every action he took with the same amount of exactness. It was amusing to no end.
“I’ll tell you when to stop,” she assured him. He nodded and began slowly pouring them in, watching in fascination as she stirred them in slowly, lips pursed. The batter seemed a little runny and she wondered if she should add baking soda or more flour…
“You’re not using a recipe,” Itachi observed, interrupting her musings. Nodding for him to stop, she hummed.
“My mom is a baker,” she answered, sprinkling in just a little more flour and smiling with satisfaction as the batter became nearly perfect. She’d never make cookies like her mom; she didn’t have that gift. But what she baked was still pretty damn good. “I helped her out a lot and cookies are pretty popular, of course. I memorized this recipe a while ago.” She grabbed a spoon to start putting the batter on the cooking sheet and handed one to Itachi.
“One spoonful,” she instructed him and he nodded, seriousness back on his face. She watched him concentrate intently on spooning the same amount as her and watched as he placed it with such precision it was almost laughable. His lips thinned as he focused, nose wrinkled ever so slightly. Sakura felt her lips twitch into a small smile and she went on to put two cooking sheets in the oven with cookies.
She glanced at the clock, despairing at the lost studying time. She was going to have to read basically all day on Sunday to catch up with Tsunade’s reading, and then there was all of her other work to do. She sighed, willing the numbers on the microwave to go back.
Sakura turned her head toward the living room, lit up by the lamp on the little side table, where Itachi had seated himself on the floor beside his brother, an absent hand going to ruffle Sasuke’s hair. Sasuke glared at him, ducking his head and Itachi grinned, a smile unlike any she had ever seen before on his handsome face. It was impish, nearly childlike, and comical beside Sasuke’s frown. Deidara was teasing him, and Sasuke’s head whipped around to snarl at him. Ino laughed and joined in, fingers still wrapped around the sake bottle she had been not-so-sneakily taking swigs off. Naruto was arm wrestling Kisame and Sasori looked on, eyes narrowed, calling encouragements to Naruto as he struggled, face turning red. Sakura watched them, wondering if there was any way for her heart to rest in this moment. For her memory to seize and hold it forever.
Naruto’s hand was slammed on the table and he whined, rubbing at the back of his hand while Kisame roared with laughter, high-fiving Sasori. Naruto turned to Sakura and she almost laughed at the look of utter defeat on his face. How had she found such dramatic friends?
“Cheer up, there’s cookies with your name on it,” Sakura called and he brightened instantly, calling for a rematch. Kisame grinned as he accepted the challenge and they went back to it, Naruto’s brow furrowed in concentration.
The oven beeped and Sakura checked the cookies, nodding in approval before pulling them out. She carefully placed each on the cooling rack her mother had given her, trying not to fidget as she waited for them to cool enough to eat. Not that it mattered since Naruto, fresh from another defeat, reached around her and popped one in his mouth, grinning at her like his mouth wasn’t about to receive first degree burns.
“Perfect as always, Sakura-chan,” Naruto hummed around his mouthful, taking four more into his hands. His fingers didn’t even turn red and Sakura didn’t say anything as he went back to the couch with his treasure. She had long ago learned that questioning Naruto wasn’t worth it. She heard exclamations as her friends saw Naruto’s handful. She practically dove out of the way as Kisame and Deidara elbowed and kicked their way into the room, both hands outstretched toward the cookie plate. Ino wasn’t too far behind, leg outstretched to trip both of them at once. Sakura managed to snag four and hurried away before any of them could tumble into her, handing two each to Sasori and Itachi.
“I have strawberry ice cream if you want any,” she told Sasuke as she sat down next to him; he shook his head, taking a drink of the sake before offering her some. She took a grateful swig. She could hear the other three squabbling over how many cookies each got and she shook her head, exchanging an exasperated glance with Sasori.
“Are they always like this?” she asked him. Sasori sighed, sucking a long breath through his nose and exhaling noisily.
“Every day,” he muttered, eyes closed.
“These are good,” Itachi said suddenly. Sakura glanced over at him, amused by how wide his eyes were. It made him look young, childish.
“I told you,” she answered, digging another mouthful of ice cream out of the tub and contemplating it lazily on her spoon. “My mother owns a bakery.” She stuck the cold spoonful into her mouth, allowing it to melt a little before swallowing. She hadn’t had strawberry ice cream in years. She was surprised Deidara had even remembered her off-hand comment days ago that it was her favorite kind.
She glanced over at him, where he was still trying to take Kisame’s last cookie from his outstretched hand. She smiled.
Sakura was sweating. She could feel it rolling down her back and glittering on her forehead. Her jaw was locked, teeth clenched as she tried to control her breathing. She pursed her lips, brow furrowed as she glared at the cards in her hand.
A few moments later, her expression cleared and with a victorious smile, she slammed her cards down.
“I win!” she crowed, to the utter dismay of every other person in the room. Deidara collapsed to the floor, Kisame swore, Naruto threw his cards down in frustration. Ino was laughing from where she watched on the couch and Sasuke continued frowning at his phone. Sasori merely sighed and Itachi ran a tired hand through his hair, finally beginning to look a little unruffled after drinking and losing to Sakura three times that same night.
Sakura clapped her hands together, falling flat on her back and staring up at the ceiling that seemed to be spinning for whatever reason. That reason being alcohol, probably. She giggled.
Itachi’s face appeared in her line of sigh, corners of his mouth quirking, only slightly noticeable.
“You weren’t kidding,” he remarked. She pushed herself back up, groaning a little. Itachi drew back, closer to her than he was before. She noted the difference vaguely, knowing she’d forget it by morning. Ino snorted, pulling her own phone out as she glanced at her best friend with an oddly proud smirk.
“Sakura is undefeated at card games once you get a little alcohol in her. I’m convinced she was an alcoholic gambler in a past life.”
“You don’t sound too bitter about it,” Kisame grumbled, seeming to slowly forgive Sakura for her final win. Ino shrugged carelessly.
“Got used to it,” she hummed. The sounds from the game on Sasuke’s phone drew Sakura’s eyes to him. Naruto hovered over his shoulder, frowning and crying out every time Sasuke died. Deidara was sprawled on the floor just next to them, long legs flung over Sasori’s lap, who was attempting to peruse on of Sakura’s textbooks.
“This is all gibberish to me,” he admitted slowly, glancing up at her through his red bangs. Sakura tilted her head back, the tips of her hair brushing the floor. It had gotten too long over the summer. Ino would have to cut it soon.
“It’s gibberish to me too,” she admitted. Kisame chuckled, glancing at the book as well and pulling a face.
“And you’re the future of medicine?” he joked. Sakura leveled a glare at him, though she was sure it wasn’t all too convincing. A stubborn smile pulled at her lips.
“And you’re going to save the whales?” she threw back. Kisame merely shrugged, shit-eating grin still on his face.
“We’re going to save the world, kid,” he answered, voice oddly gentle. Sakura frowned, not quite understanding where the turn in conversation had come from. Itachi made a noise in his throat and she glanced at him – up at him, since he was still so close their fingers nearly brushed. His closeness was disorienting. She could feel the warmth radiating from his body and in her drunken state she wondered what he would do if she rested her head on his shoulder, just for a moment.
“That’s optimistic,” the elder Uchiha commented mildly.
“Chances are we won’t make any difference,” Sasori agreed in his usual monotone voice. Deidara’s response was a snore. Kisame opened his mouth to reply but Sakura beat him to it. The room was spinning but there was Itachi’s hand, so close to her own. She stared at his nails as she answered, using them to center herself. The words came slowly, haltingly.
“We make a difference every day, don’t we? Differences we don’t see all the time, but they’re there.”
Sirens rang in her ears and she let her eyes fall shut, the floor coming up to meet her back seconds after she let her head tilt backwards once more.
“Not all differences are good,” she mumbled before she swam away, the world a blur.
The cure to hangovers, Sakura had learned, was a cup of hot black coffee and a hot shower. She squeezed her damp hair with a towel as she sipped at her coffee, enjoying the way it seemed to seep into her bones. Her headache was fading away as the medicine she took kicked in. Ino had yet to rise and face the day and it would be afternoon soon, so Sakura could only assume she was worse off.
She opened the door to their balcony as quietly as possible, allowing the cool air to rush over her face. The mornings were growing steadily cooler and she nearly shivered in her robe and slippers. She watered her plants carefully, humming as she did so. Sakura looked out at the street behind her apartment building, watching the world slowly wake up on a Sunday morning. Leaning her forearms against the railing, she threaded her fingers through her wet hair, untangling it herself. The smell of her shampoo was fresh and fruity. She took another sip of her coffee as her phone buzzed in her robe’s pocket. Sighing, she pulled it out and swiped at the screen to view the text from Ino.
Instead of the plea for water or coffee, as she’d been expecting, there was a picture. Sakura, sprawled on the floor of their living room, mouth open as she slept. And Itachi, looking down at her, hair partially obscuring his face. But it couldn’t hide the smile he wore, gentler than any expression she’d seen on him yet.
Blushing furiously, she locked her phone hastily and gulped her coffee down. The sound of cars driving by soothed her and after a few moments she opened her phone again, glaring down at the picture. He probably thought she looked ridiculous, she tried to convince herself. She squeezed her phone, locking it once more. Walked back inside and shut the door.
Huffing, she pulled out her textbooks, ready to make up for the studying time she’d lost the night before. After a few minutes of staring at words that made no sense to her, she unlocked her phone impatiently, staring at the picture.
Ino was never going to let it go.
Her thumb pressed down, the picture saved before she had even fully comprehended what she was doing. The memory of his warmth came back and she sighed, eyes closing as she tried to get a grip.
Her phone buzzed again. This time, Ino had written something.
i’ll put it in the wedding slideshow, don’t worry!!
Sakura growled, tossing her phone on the couch. Damn blonde witch.

There was freezing rain here a day or so ago. That was fun . u . (sobs) IF YOU COULD TWEEK MY BLOG OMG ID LOVE THAT. But the theme isn’t originally mine and I’d assume the original owner wouldn’t want the original code changed?
{CONT} IDK I wanted to change my theme for a while now // Something not endless scroll but just boxes for previews? Also I wanted a minimalistic theme based with pastel colours and black and white hehe/ ANYWAY NO NO WORRIES SOMETIMES IM JUST HERE WONDERING IF YOONGI SUED BIGHIT FOR DYING HIS HAIR TOO FREQUENTLY AND NOW HE BALD (LOL) BUT YEAH APPARENTLY THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO HAVE A COMEBACK IN FEBRUARY AND MY WALLET IS UPSET. I ALSO WANT THE NEW ARMY STICK FOR NO GOOD REASON AT ALL LOL

LISTEN I LITERALLY CRY EVERYTIME IT MAKES ME SO EMO. I WATCHED NARUTO THE ROAD TO NINJA MOVIE LIKE TWO NIGHTS AGO AND I CRIED LIKE A BABY WATCHING HIM INTERACT WITH HIS PARENTS AND ALL LIKE D’:: highkey still hated on sasuke though
but yeah no it’s okay! i have super late responses as of late…. and it’s really only because i’ve been too emotionally spent by the end of the day or tired or busy or just “not feeling it”
idk, but i hope to get back into being more active. i miss this place. i miss interacting with others, as little of it i seem to be doing right now (guh _ _)
LOL I HAVE SO MANY SEX SCENES ALREADY PREWRITTEN OUT FOR HTE JUNGKOOK FIC AND SO NOW THAT I’VE GOT THE HARDEST PARTS DONE, IT’S JUST DOWN TO FILLING IN THE PLOT AND SUCH. aaaand that’s kinda hard too, but i think i’ll manage. hopefully.
(help)
dude it was rainy and windy and cold today and i had to go outside and the entire time i was walking/running/dying to class i was thinking a) why b) this was a Mistake
ah well in regards to your theme, usually the theme makers are okay with minor changes (sometimes major ones too) as long as you keep the credit and the changes are for personal use (as opposed to commercial use/redistribution, etc). just to be sure, you can just check their rules. they usually have that whole page/pop up or will simply include it in their theme code.
hmm what do you mean by boxes for previews? i don’t think i’ve ever seen such as thing. it sounds interesting, though. are they previews for like posts or…?
YEAH OMG I’M REALLY EXCITED BECAUSE FEBRUARY IS BOTH MINE AND ALSO @taesthetes‘ BIRTHDAY MONTH SO ITS LIKE A BIRTHDAY PRESENT WOOHOO
thank you for loving our collaboration! i’m still amazed on how quickly we got things put together and everything… honestly… cat and @zephyoongist are so talented i don’t know what i’m doing here :’) (or where i would be without them)
and now finally…
(for the maaaain event)…
okaY OKAY I WILL SCREECH WITH YOU ABOUT NARUTO. RIGHT HERE. RIGHT NOW. just under the cut because spoilers:
I’M SUCH AN EMOTIONAL WRECK OVER NARUTO THE ONLY BEST WAY I CAN TRULY EXPRESS MY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS AT THE MOMENT IS JUST THROUGH BULLET POINTS SO:
i love kakashi
i also love gaara. i can’t choose between the two, but lately i’ve been more biased towards kakashi. i blame it on my sister because she’s always had a thing for him
(i still love you gaara its okay my sand child)
kakashi’s backstory had me in tears… like… with obito died and he’s telling kakashi he’ll give him his sharingan (the sharingan that he’d always been talking about that would get him to hokage) to be his eye to see the future…
i just..
fucking broke down man like dude… stop… you’re killing me here… and then how kakashi really changes afterwards
(okay but listen child kakashi was savage as fuck though and it was hilarious)
(also i know it’s a filler but that one episode in which it showed guy and kakashi comparing dick sizes as kids….,,..,.
….,,..i wasn’t expecting that at all but i don’t mind the info heheheheh heh /dies)
OKAY BUT THEN RIN DIES WHY
literally if she hadn’t died a lot of the issues in naruto wouldn’t have occurred but they fucking did
no i’m not blaming her she died for a noble reason okay it just makes me really sad i’m sorry
AND FINALLY MINATO DIES TOO AND KAKASHI IS THE LAST OF HIS TEAM IM EMO
on a side note minato and kushina were cute as fuck
ANYWAYS GAARA OH MY OH MY GOD MY POOR BABY as a kid he was so cute and just wanted some friends and was out helping all those villagers and such but then his damned dad just had to go and screw those things up like STOP IT HE;S MY CHILD
even though i love those two, my favorites are actually the akatsuki
like. they hate each other but istg they secretly love each other like have you seen kakuzu and hidan’s interactions??? they tease and insult and threaten (and have killed) each other but kakuzu is actually patient with hidan’s rituals and such, and hidan will still accompany kakuzu to the collection centers
also, when he sees asuma’s guardian shinobi thing the first thing that comes to mind is kakuzu and how he’d want him for the money and he’s like u gh but like !!!
and AND when hidan at first thinks he’s accidentally killed kakuzu in his fight with shikamaru & co., he has that look of panic ooooh my god I JUST GASHUDFJSDIJASD
also hidan is just hilarious. like when they go to recruit him he’s like “who are you guys, all wearing the same clothes?? are you guys an orchestra or band or something?”
/points at kakuzu/ bet you play the bass
/points at konan/ bet the girl does vocals and keyboards
/points at itachi/ …or do you do vocals…?
and then the first thing hidan and kakuzu do to each other is kill each other
the look of utter disbelief on both of their faces
“what the–why aren’t you dead?”
“bitch that hurt–wait. why aren’t you dead?”
but anyways we can’t forget about itachi and kisame either, now can we?? like. they are actually like the only partner group that openly got along with each other, and they were sad oh my god they were sad upon realizing each other’s death’s
and idk just the way kisame says “itachi-san” does something to me
 i t a c h i
oh boy i have so much to say about this kid
but before i move on i must! address! the others!!
okay so like deidara is actually op as fuck and sometimes idk i feel like he doesnt get enough credit?? idk.
BUT LIKE LISTEN OKAY HE GOES THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS TO SEAL THE ICHIBI AKA SHUKAKU AKA GAARA’S TAILED BEAST and then immediately after decides to take on naruto (and kakashi)
AND HE ONLY HAD ONE ARM AT THE TIME HAVING JUST LOST ONE IN HIS FIGHT WITH GAARA LIKE WHAT IS THIS STAMINA AND HOW DOES HE NOT BLEED OUT THIS KID IS FUCKING AMAZING WHAT THE HELL
and he’s 19 like lol what bye
but anyways, after his “fight” he loses his other arm because kakashi and now he’s armless BUT THIS KID STILL HOLDS HIS OWN though completely on the defense AGAINST TEAM GAI LIKE WHAT THE FUCK HE’S AMAZING and then he manages to create a bomb without using any sort of handseals and fools them all into thinking he’s dead
like
i love this boy give him a metal why did he have to die so early why (yet another reason why i dislike sasuke lmfao)
black zetsu scares the fuck out of me (esp when i learned of his true past and intentions) but white zetsu!! he’s such a sweetie holy shit
I JUST REALLY LIKED THAT TIME WHEN HE BURSTS INTO THE 5 KAGE SUMMIT AND HE’S LIKE “HALLLLOOO!!!!!!” WITH THE ARMS AND EVERYTHING DAW OMG
and also unlike so many others he actually likes everyone and when he saves deidara he’s like “you’re a fun guy to be around” and then and then later when he’s talking to tobi he reveals that he’s sad that so many of the akatsuki members died like D::
let’s not forget when black zetsu called him weak (they had split in two at the time) and white zetsu just kind of D: and wilts a little like ooHH NO oo baby it’s okay it’s okay
ahem
konan is so strong… holy crap… like… her ultimate attack? with the bajillion paper explosive tags disguised as a lake?? that go off for 10 minutes? holy fuck.
yahiko’s pretty damn hot if you ask me (yes i know he’s a cadaver in the main time period but listen)
idk my favorite arc of the entire thing was pain’s invasion of konoha… like from the moment jiraiya’s message arrived to when everyone got revived…. and then kakashi almost became hokage…
it was fantastic
i think it’s mainly because it was a mystery, race against time, battle thing all in one and it was so neat i guess
also you could see everyone in the village working together, fighting their hardest, showing their potentials for like, the first time ever
um um um okay sasori mentally scarred me as a child, and now whenever i hear the rattling puppet noises i immediately think of these scary nightmares i had after watching his fight with sakura… yeah, puppets scare me a lot now
orochimaru is a creep ‘nuff said moving on
tobi! i love this alternate ego of obito/”madara” like idk he’s so jumpy and honestly it’s fucking hilarious watching him because he’s so secretly op certain people underestimate him at first (and then others overestimate him because of his association with akatsuki)
like. when he was warding off konoha from itachi vs sasuke’s fight (which i am still emo about) he was just like playing whack-a-mole with them and then he’s like lemme use this ability! frill-necked lizard!
and they all kinda stand and stare at him intensely execting something legit
but in reality that’s it. the extent of htat ability is just him hanging upside down with the cloack falling behind him to look like a frill-necked lizard
and it’s fucking hilarious
i also thought it was fucking adorable when he and deidara first confront sasuke
and the little bitch goes ahead and slices through him
literally through him
and HE MAKES THE MOST ADORABLE NOISE BEFORE FALLING FLAT ON HIS FACE GAH
but sasuke thinks that he actually killed him and sasuke’s all like “one down”
and deidara just kinda
ugh this kid
and tobi gets up and brushes himself off like wow that was rly fast!!! and sasuke just >:/
URM OKAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE AKATSUKI MEMBERS
sorry i thought i should make this clear but i lowkey highkey have this vendetta thing against sasuke like this little shit
i mean ofc i know the reason for his disillusionment really isn’t all his fault like @ itachi really?
like really when he goes back to konoha and sasuke tries to kill him… he goes and easily breaks his wrist
and he kinda just considers him for a moment like
…hm
how about i….. make his situation even worse…?
and then traps him in a genjutsu that forces him to relive their parents death for 24 hours like why the fuck this is literally all your fault
and also on a side note, fuck danzo. why the fuck did the 3rd not kill him when he was supposed to. why. all the wrong people lived for far too long.
anyways
but yeah no idk i just really don’t like sasuke after he defected and became a Vengeful Teen
AND ITACHI’S STORY MAKES ME CRY EVERY TIME HOLY SHIT IT MAKES ME SO SAD WHY DID THIS BOY HAVE TO SUFFER SO MUCH and then mess up his little brother’s psyche to the point in which he starts killing like everyone wtf
AHEM
another favorite moment arc of mine is the very beginning
like the first 15ish episodes
IRUKA SENSEI
he’s such a blessing. he’s literally one of those crucially important side characters and i appreciate him and i love him and it would’ve been nice to see more of him, but hey, that’s okay too.
(his part in the naruto road to ninja movie had me in tears. like at the end. fucking tears.)
like naruto and kakashi may be super close and stuff, but when he needs someone as a guardian, naruto turns to iruka and idk i feel that says a lot about their relationship and it makes me cry all the fucking time
um anyways yes i also love zabuza
he’s so strong and empowered
AND THAT WHOLE ARC MADE ME CRY A LOT TOO AND THE FACT THAT IT BECOMES SUCH AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE STORY MAKES ME SO FUCKING HAPPY
i have a lot more the say probably but it’s getting late and i need to take a shower and sleep and get up early in the morning to make food so i’ll just leave it at that
(i wrote a lot i know i’m sorry)
(hope i didn’t blow you away with any spoilers D:)
