Uh, hello guys, I just wanted to rewatch Steven Universe and and I was overcome with nostalgia. That's why I've decided to return to the fandom now!! Here are some drawings that I managed to make last week.

i just wanted to provide some thoughts on the harper and rosé one first bc its important to me 😌 cus i was thinking abt harper and how in my head and heart of hearts she would be the kid who thought you get pregnant from kissing and i dont think she ever really grew out of that belief. <- this ended up spawning the idea of harper being a sex-repulsed ace and i will die on this hill actually. fight me or die, you die either way actually nvm

this is just a buncha blorbos i dont know what to tell you really. sketch pages like these always end up so weird for me bc for some reason my brain always wants the characters in them to interact in some way. whether that be talking or just reacting to what the other is doing... its something i cant stop with, its so stupid and silly and i hate it and i love it. where else would i see kabru slowly losing his mind with how loud phoenix wright is in court????

You know I studied Japanese for like a couple of months over 7(?) years ago so while I can understand it a bit I'm awful at reading and don't have a big vocabulary.

That being said I've been attempting to translate/re-translate some of the extras cause I wanna know whats actually being said. So basically I write it down on google, get a feel for what it's saying from the machine translation/read the romaji and if I don't recognize the words I do a google search to maybe figure out what it means in context (doing my best here).

All of this to say I wanted to re-translate this little interaction between Fleki and Lycion, cause of his expression here.

Idk why but "You in there, boss?" sounded strange to me? I rewrote it on google (it has a writing recognition thingy I use to draw the kanji I dont know) and it gave me this

Which makes even less sense! I wondered if maybe I wrote the kanji/hiragana wrong tried to translate each by itself and it didnt help, googled what "Yatteru" meant and only got "doing it" so I finally googled the whole thing in japanese 大将やってる？

First result looked promising, looks like one of those things explaining expressions/slang? (Very familiar with those)

I copied the part that had the expression I wanted and dropped it on google translate

She's doing that thing where you walking into a ramen stall and hold the flags to the side, I love them so much 😭

Anyway this super convoluted explanation is how I try to get an accurate translation while not actually knowing the language 👍 (Don't do it like me, actually study kids)

I don't know how I would have translated while keeping that meaning, that's why I try my best to check how things are said in the original language (and why I usually watch subbed, I can kinda understand spoken anime japanese a lil bit so I get more contexts along with the subs)

as you wait, you just watch him make his blueprints, he offers you drinks while you wait, but the moment the door opens kaveh packs up and leaves the room

“Alhaitham…?”

you called out for Alhaitham, as he looks at you with wide eyes.

“….”

he nods his head to acknowledge your presence.

“it’s been awhile.”

he sat across from you.

“why the sudden visit?”

“look, remember that night when we…. Um…”

when you told him about it, he was speechless for awhile

you two sit in silence for awhile, both of you PRAYING that the other says something

”…what do YOU want?” He asks, wanting to know if you’ll keep the baby or not.

he nods, he stands up and sits next to you.

He smiles, “would you be okay with raising them together?”

he was actually pretty happy that you wanted to keep the baby, both of you before you broke up wanted to have a family with each other. So he was still happy that you were still up to it

you nod

”I want us to try again” he says, while holding both your hands.

”I want to try to fix this relationship…do you?”

of you say yes, he smiles and hugs you, if you say no, he nods and says he understands, but still asks if he can raise the kid with you

”do you want to move in?” He offers, “I have a spare room, you can stay there while we fix our relationship, no rush…”

he assures you,

you nod. “I guess kaveh’s getting another roommate huh? Ah- another two roommates” he smiles as he rubs your belly.

while you’re pregnant, he takes care of finances, everything really. He pampers you and stuff

kaveh is happy for the both of you just “as long as you don’t make me the babysitter…. Except for if you lessen my rent”

When the baby comes haitham was there to support you

you two took care of the child pretty well (Kaveh taking care of the kid VOLUNTARILY since he’s grown to get attached to them, he even teaches them how to draw as they grow up)

Alhaitham and you get your relationship fixed (yayyy)

Alhaitham comes home earlier to help with the baby, he plays with the kid and does everything in general

he reads the kid as many books as they want, every day even if he’s busy he WILL make time for the kid.

sometimes he takes the baby to work with him, and while he works he talks to the baby (he teaches things to them as well)

Alhaitham proudly introduces them to Cyno and nari and they call Collei the sister of your kid

You and wriothesley ended your relationship on pretty good terms

you still visit him sometimes and that’s how this whole thing started

sigewinne started to notice how you constantly looked in pain, or how some days you come later than usual

she didn’t say much about it until she could have sworn she heard you throwing up in one of the bathrooms.

she asks you what’s wrong and when you say you don’t know, she brings you in for a checkup.

that’s when you found out. “you’re pregnant!”

she says happily while clapping her hands. “Congrats!”

you panicked, knowing EXACTLY who the father was.

“….whats wrong?”

she asks, noticing your silence

you nod, not even knowing how to tell him or how he will react.

he entered the room, he heard you throwing up and he panicked. But when he entered the room, he had an unreadable expression.

i feel wriothesley wouldnt want the kid to be scared with the criminals he handles so he doesn’t talk much about work at home

he enjoys being with you, he is more at home now as much as he can.

he’s in charge of diapers, he doesn’t care if he’s out he told you he will do it

in fact he’s like that with almost everything.

The moment you try to tell him “I can do it” he goes

Every night, the kid cuddles with you two to sleep.

He makes an effort to go out with you two, on picnics or anthing, he wants to make sure this kid is loved due to his backstory

You and ayato ended your relationship pretty formally, he didn’t want you two to have bad blood between each other

you don’t keep in touch much, but occasionally he sends messages asking how you are and all.

Lately however, you’ve been getting more sick and feeling bad. You asked your friends about it and they didn’t really know what to do, they passed it off as “maybe you ate something bad?”

you couldn’t handle it anymore, so one day you went to the hospital with your friend ayaka. Ayaka was one of your closest friends, even before dating ayato you two were already close, she went with you to the hospital (since you didn’t want to go alone) and after awhile, you two found out you were pregnant.

“Congratulations!” She clapped, as the doctor left the room. “What’s with the long face?”

“….I need to talk to ayato…. Ayaka do you know if he’s busy today?”

she then realized what you meant, before nodding and helping you check out of the hospital

that same day, luckily when you dropped her off, ayato was right outside, just taking a stroll around. He waved when he saw you and ayaka.

ayaka asked him if he was busy and he shook his head. And that’s when she left the two of you.

“it’s been quite some time hasnt it? What’s so urgent?”

he asks as you two continue to walk outside the kamisato estate

As you explain to him the situation, he stops walking

”you’re sure? You double checked?”

its not that he doesn’t want the baby, it’s just he’s worried about the amount of pain you’ll go through

he brings you two to sit outside (on a chair ofc) and as you tell him you were sure, he was speechless for a bit

”…dear i think it’s up to you for what to do”

”if you’d like to keep it, I’d be more than happy to raise them with you, but if not…I’ll help you get things arranged”

if you say you keep it, he will smile and kiss you on the cheek.

”sorry” he chuckles

”can I raise them with you?”

if you say no he says he will then just support you financially and if you say yes, he will clap in excitement

as you’re pregnant, he lets you stay in his house (in the comments please tell me if his home has a name so I’ll edit it) and he spends more nights working more to ensure you two have everything enough for the baby (even if he’s already rich)

He takes some more days off than usual, just caring and pampering you

ayaka is so happy that her best friend lives with her and she also helps u too, morning sickness? If Ayato’s busy, she’ll be right there to hold your hair back. cravings? She will immediately ask the chef to cook it for you.

Thoma also is more than delighted to help, he’s actually really happy for you two.

as for your relationship with ayato, things aren’t sure. But he would always be open to the idea of trying again with you

once the baby arrives, ayato drops what he’s doing and immediately runs to you, he takes you to the hospital (ayaka and thoma too) and stays by your side and holds your hand the entire time

once the baby is out, he would go “good job darling, I’m so proud of you” and kisses you on the forehead

he takes a LOT of days off more now, (ayaka volunteered to do his work for her even if it’s difficult) and he pampers you and the kid

its up to you if you want to raise your kid as the next heir, but ayato definitely wouldn’t force you (or the kid, he would ask the kid once he’s older if they want and gives him 2 years to change their mind is they say yes or no)

he asks thoma to help him learn how to cook, change diapers, etc, he genuinely just wants to make this kid feel as loved as possible.

if your baby cries in the middle of the night he tucks you in and handles it himself.

he’d honestly be a good dad even if he’s really busy at times.

DILUC:

you said, completely out of your mind after you had a few drinks at the tavern.

he thinks you’re joking, but suddenly you pull out a pregnancy test

it’s not that he doesn’t want the baby, he’s just scared that you ARE pregnant and since you drank a lot that night, it would damage the baby

diluc bumps into kaeya, and kaeya looks at him weirdly to find you just muttering in his arms

“Kaeya, I need you to do me a favor”

“oh? Not even daring to speak to your brother for months only to come back for a favor hmm?”

“I’m serious this isn’t a game!”

“alright alright, what do you want”

Diluc explains to him what you announced and he asked for him to go to the pharmacy to ask if you did buy tests.

“alright, I’ll meet you in her home”

kaeya runs and diluc runs to your home, laying you down in your bedroom.

he runs to the bathroom and he does see a box of tests and 3 other positive tests.

“…so you were serious huh?” He sits next to you on your bed, seeing how you passed out from the drinks.

he watches over you the entire night, thinking things through

kaeya comes and confirms you bought them, and he thanks him.

”so you’re gonna be a dad?” kaeya asks, looking at his brother

”…I mean… y/n and I did want to be parents… it’s just yeah.. the falling out”

“what are you gonna do about it?”

”…if she keeps the baby, I’ll gladly help her. I’ll ask adelinde to stay in her home or she stays in the manor” (forgot what his home is called)

”so I’m gonna be an uncle huh?” Kaeya jokes

”I’d actually be really happy if you’d support this” diluc admits,

”of course I do, you’d be a good dad” kaeya reassures him

a few hours later kaeya leaves and in the morning you remember your conversation with diluc

he talks you over with it and once you two reach an agreement, he smiles.

he takes you to his manor and even if he has to work, he’s home earlier every day to help.

he starts building things, a crib, etc

once the baby is out, adelinde helps you two, and diluc overall though he’s strict, he’s really good

be plays with the kid, teaches them to attack, anything the kid wants, he supports

during arguments (if it’s between you and diluc) he makes sure the kid doesn’t hear, he doesn’t want to scare him.

”hey kiddo, let’s get you to your room okay? Ah and wear this” he hands him headphones “no taking off okay?”

You two however, sleep in different rooms.

if you Two get together, then in the same room.

diluc loves you two very much (kaeya and Adelinde as well)

when you two dated, you two were actually roommates. Up until now you two are roommates, and best friends

You didn’t even take any suspicion that you were pregnant, he just noticed more changes in your mood how you always looked in pain.

one morning, you suddenly had morning sickness, he was cooking breakfast and once he heard your retching, he closed the flame and ran, he pulled back your hair and rubbed your back

when you finished, he ran to get you some water and sat with you against the bathroom wall for a bit

you two remain roommates and you can tell he’s trying his best to pretend to still be in the actual relationship

one night, he talks to you talking about how he still wants to try again, with being lovers and all

if you say no, he respects that and if you say yes, he presses kisses all over your face

he’s overjoyed really, and he’s so excited to tell Lynette and freminet

as for father… he doesn’t know how she will react so he writes her a letter

and she’s happy, she supports, but comes the next question

”what do we do with the fatui?” Lyney explains that he doesn’t want the kid to even HEAR about the fatui, especially with the trauma he got from it but at the same time, he doesn’t want to lie

You two decide to hide it as best as you can from the kid and tell him when he’s older. It isn’t the best choice but LYNEY doesn’t want the kid to be haunted by the crimes and all

he pampers you, comes home earlier form missions and he genuinely loves you a lot, if you want something no matter how far, he WILL get it

once the babies come out, yes, babies, you gave birth to twins,

he was the happiest person ever, kissing you and thanking you and telling you that he’s so proud of you and all.

he raises the kids very well, he doesn’t want them to end up being sad at all.

magic tricks? Always there. Every time the kids say something magical lyney tríes his best to make it come true

anything the child wants, he will support.

he teaches them some magic tricks and buys them their own cards.

lynette and freminet visit often and they help you two take care of the kids, and arlecchino

shes really proud of lyney :)) and she won’t force the kids to join the fatui

lyney always does his all to make you all happy, and sometimes he even falls asleep while watching over the kids

he wants to make life as easy for you and sometimes he forgets about himself, but he appreciates it when you tell him you want the same for him

Couple Costumes with JJK Men!

A/N: October is here so here is a halloween related thread! I couldn’t find a photo for the second costume I chose for Megumi and Gojo but just imagine there is one! Plus, apologies in advance for these photos - I couldn’t find any photos that reflected the vision in my head (who knew it would be hard to find simple halloween related photos!)

GOJO

Trying to figure out Gojo was so hard, but honestly all i can guarantee is that he’d want you to look sexy as FUCK.

He’d probably do the Ken and Barbie couples costume. Little did he know that he’d get so turned on by you in a pink cowboy outfit. BUT then he would remember the plot to the Barbie movie and ask questions like if it’s feminist to say you look sexy in the barbie costume 😭😭.

If it was a halloween party with the first and second years, then I feel like he’d dress up as a mummy. He typically wraps his eyes up so it’s an easy costume idea! You’d put on a cute archaeologist/Indiana Jones-esque outfit on! The kids thank you for wrapping up Gojo’s mouth with a bandage so they don’t have to hear him make corny jokes about their costumes 😭

I was originally going to suggest Geto and you dressing up as a priest and a nun, but I feel as though that might be offensive!

SO, you guys dress as Grimm and Malaria (Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy)! It’s a cartoon show you both loved watching during your times at school (Shoko loved it too but she couldn’t handle you two flirting whilst the three of you would watch it on TV).

If not Billy and Mandy, then I could imagine a Batman and Catwoman costume (Rob Pat and Zoe Kravitz version). Simple, cheap, and effective! Plus, Geto in eye makeup??? Yes please!!

NANAMI

I think it would be difficult to persuade Nanami to wear a costume but if he did, it would be most likely something simple like Morticia and Gomez from the Addams Family!!

All he has to do is slick his hair down, wear a suit and a fake stache! Plus, he loves you just as much as Gomez loves Morticia so!!!

BUT if you can somehow really convince him then there’s also the option of dressing like Woody and Jessie from Toy Story.

Similar to Nanami, I think it would be difficult to convince Megumi to do something eccentric as a halloween costume.

I just know this boy loves Halloween!!! If he loves horror films then best believe he loves Halloween, okay!

That being said, I don’t think he’s super creative at designing costumes. The most creative he’d be is cutting two holes in your white bed sheets and throwing it over you! You might even pop some shades on Yuuji to make him look cooler 😎.

HOWEVER, if Yuuji is willing to splash some money on clothes and makeup, then best believe he’d dress up as Beast boy!! You’re obviously Raven ofc. Would definitely win best couple costume!

hi yall

so, i actually finished this drawing like a week ago lol. but i didnt want to post a bunch of drawing in a row, and then i got sick, so i havent been able to post it till now!

its my imaginings of what noelle looked like as she grew up, and a potential adult noelle design! ill explain my thought processes about these designs below, if anyones interested 😁

i also plan on doing one of these with dess, but this one was pretty difficult, so it might be awhile before that (unless yalls are interested in seeing it?)

first off, im not 100% sure ill keep using all these designs. some of them im not that happy with (im no good at designing outfits 😔) but i just went with them so i could finish the drawing. so if anyone has any alternative outfit ideas for any of her ages, id be interested in seeing/hearing it!

secondly, something that may stick out to yall for all the designs is how tall she gets. its the same height i normally draw her with, but given how i usually draw her by herself you cant really tell how tall she is! i have 3 main reasons for why i headcanon her as this tall: deer are pretty tall irl, so having her be tall makes sense in my head; i just like the look of her being super tall, it makes me happy lol; and third, i personally also headcanon the holiday family as boss monsters (i think ive explained this headcanon before on here, so i wont explain again, unless someone is interested ^^). so yeah, she ends up being 7 feet tall as an adult, the second tallest in her family!

also, i gave all her children forms stripes in some way, as a reference to when monster kid in undertale says they can tell frisk is a kid because of their stripes!

now onto my explainations for individual drawings!

theres nothing really to say about her baby design. the only thing i did that might be new is give her faun spots! they are most plentiful on her baby form, but they persist until shes in her teens, i would say (on here you cant see them after age 7, but thats just because i imagine they are mostly on her back). and i gave her a cute lil onsie that says a-deer-able! if you guys cant read it ^^

this outfit i made for her toddler design is actually an outfit ive used in the past! i wonder if yall know what drawing it was? its pretty much the same as it was there, i just added a stripe to the shirt. i felt like overalls are so reminiscent of childhood, i had to give at least one of her designs them! i also added a little mistletoe to the front pocket, to make it more christmas-esque. and i gave her some bandaids, just cause.

7 years old is one of the designs i really struggled on, and im still not happy with it. i dunno if ive said this yet, but i headcanon noelle to be trans, so at 7 is when i decided she started realizing it. so here i gave her long sleeves and pants, to show how shes more hidden now because shes unhappy with herself, if that makes any sense? i was also trying to make her look a bit like a nerd, with the button up and khakis, just because its funny. but yeah, ill probably end up changing this design at some point :P

11 years old was one of the easiest to do, considering how ive had her design for this age for awhile lol. one thing i did change was going from 2 red/white stripes to one, but ive done that before, so it wasnt something entirely new. i also gave her a smile and closed eyes, cause shes happy being a girl 🥰. other that that, its the same, so yeah, thats it for this part

okay, this next design is a fairly different looking one than all the rest, but i have my reasons! at this point in noelles live, dess has gone missing, so i wanted to show her being sad and stuff. i also gave her shoes and long sleeves because she probably goes out looking for dess when she can, hoping to find a lead 😭. but outside of in-story stuff, this outfit is based off of an old one i drew, but its fairly edited, so i wouldnt be surprised if no one recognizes it even if they have seen my old stuff. she has straight hair here, to show how unhappy she is (idk what it is about straight hair it just feels sad) and because i wanted to give her different hair varieties on this progression chart. i gave her antlers 2 prongs each at this point, because the way i see deer monsters, their antlers show their growth/aging, so youll see them getting bigger and having more prongs as the chart continues.

this outfit for 15 is another one i dont like. i tried to make it similar to her current outfit, but still pretty different. im not even sure what precisely i dont like about this outfit, it just doesnt feel that good. for this one i gave her leg warmers because i used to (and sometimes still do) draw her normal outfit with them. i gave her the curly hair she has as a callback to when i used to draw her hair like that! but yeah, ill probably end up redoing this one too

for 17, i just gave her the normal outfit, so it was easy ^^. in game i think shes 16, but close to turning 17, so i just went with 17 here to fit the +2 age pattern thing i had going on. i also gave her an extra horn prong than i normally give her, just to show age once again

finally, her adult design! i dont like this one either lol. i spent so long trying to think of what outfit to give her, but i couldnt come up with something i liked >.< so i just gave her something simple. i feel like once noelle graduates high school and probably goes to college she branches out more and tries things her mother never let her do, which is why i gave her an outfit like that, that has a crop top and a shorter skirt. also, yalls might recognize the hair style i gave her, i drew a potential adult noelle before and i gave her the same hair ^^

Nonnie, hello! Oh wow, the fact yall still remember and love this universe touches me so deeply. I’ve been wary of saying anything that could make anyone’s too hopeful about a return because I burned out so badly when I stopped and I know it was disappointing to many and I don’t wanna do that to everyone again! But, I really may go back. Knowing it’s wanted still, is huge to me. And recently I’ve been peaking at my drafts and I’ve been missing the kids, most of all? Funny to me, but I really have missed them and their developments. So it’s a strong maybe!

Here, have a sneak peak of what’s been in my drafts for ages. Ella’s coming of age fic:

“Oh Jesse, don’t be hard, come now, I’m beggin’ you!” Ella follows him as he stomps across the landing, she’s determined to wedge herself into his room before he shuts the door and all opportunity to beg is thwarted by locked wood. He’s been holing up in his room an awful lot these days, sulky, like everyone else in this house and she’s tired of it. His latest- abandoning Prom, is the great betrayal now tearing at her. It’s the one chance to get out of this rut, she’s been counting on it, been looking forward to it for ages.

“I’m not goin’, sorry, but I’m not.” Jesse tosses his hand in an apologetic gesture he learned from daddy, not once stopping his stride. He’s over the threshold now and she leans in, hands braced so that if he closes it, he’ll be pinching his sweet sister’s fingers. Sulky and out of sorts as he is, it’s still Jesse, and he’d never. “Ella Bug, I’m not gonna be talked out of my decision. I-I-I can’t take it, one more public appearance-“

“-it’s prom!” she cries, “Not jury duty!”

“Yeah, prom.” He repeats, disbelieving, “And the topic won’t be cars or college or even sex, it’ll be our parents. You don’t get it? You’re an idiot to go.”

Ella swallows hard, aware Jesse feels a martyr's superiority over everyone in this house at being invited to couple’s meetings and divorce proceedings and let into courtrooms while Ella was strategically burdened with banquets and charities and functions mama thinks won’t hurt her girlish mind so much. That clumsy kindness takes its own toll, the toll of having to act grateful and spared when you’re anything but. “It’s a sort of hell, you know,” she hisses, “Having to chat with all of those snobby old drunks, everywhere I go that’s all they ask about is her. At least you got your football-“

“-oh, oh it’s there, too.” Jesse scoffs, warming up for a twin-spat as only they ever seem to manage when given a moment's privacy, “Why, just last Tuesday, Gary Ingersoll offered to be my stepdaddy as soon as it was all finished.”

Ella sees regret for saying it in his face, soon as it’s out of his mouth. Blue eyes watery and mouth wobbling apologetically for being so ungentlemanly, so crass, getting into a competition of hurts with a lady, his little sister, at that. Whatever daddy’s faults, he certainly raised the sort of boy everyone else thinks the father is.

“Well you can imagine then, the absolute delight it is to be mama's little carbon copy during this time.” Ella snaps back, not at him so much as wanting to be heard for once, her cheerfulness is a facade and she’s about ready for someone to notice, “Those it doesn’t scare away, it draws, like creeps to a preschool. You wouldn’t imagine the pick up lines I’ve endured, actin’ like they’re picking her up, as if I’m not my own person. As if…it’s like they forget, I’m not the wife.”

“M’sorry.” Jesse mumbles contritely, “That’s gotta suck.”

“Oh it does!” she assures, “Exponentially.”

Jesse purses his lips and drums a baseline next to her own fingers on the doorframe. Her turtleneck suddenly feels stifling, despite the odd cold front that hit them in the middle of spring. Bleak March stomps in lead gray clouds across the sky and turns what bit off cheer the Bradford Pears gave into muddy dismalness. It’s awful, combined with the mood.

“-so, prom.” she reminds.

“Right, because proms are notoriously lacking in creeps.” Jesse laughs.

“More of the right kind!” She insists.

“Right kind?” he repeats, “It’s not gonna be like mama or daddy‘s heyday, everyone’s gonna be dancing awkwardly and passing time until they go screw. Sorry but it’s true. And in the meantime some acne-faced idiot will be talkin’ to you about your parents, if the girls don’t do it already. Meanly, mind.”

“They wouldn’t dare!” she balks, her dainty iron fist of popularity still rules that High School.

“Good! Then why do you need me?” Jesse turns and makes his way into his room, signaling a finish to his engagement.

“I don’t wanna be alone!” she begs, “It’s something to do together, we were always bound to have this memory!” he only looks dubious under his floppy hair and not at all moved, “And -you’re, I feel safe with you. Maybe I do need you. Everyone else, they’re either idiots, like ya said, or your friends. Bad dancing either way, it might end up being some fun if you were there.”

“All reasons not to go.” he points out, very kindly, from where he sits on his bed, mail clutched in his hand.

“Daddy has moved it up for us and everything,” she reminds him very quietly, “so it won’t get in the way of his schedule, so that he’ll be here! He’s making an effort!”

Jesse is quite used to gestures like a highschool getting bribed to throw prom months earlier than scheduled, just so the ole man can pin a boutonniere on Jesse’s chest and terrify whichever unlucky sod is Ella’s date. Something more moving would be him convincing mama not to divorce him. “I-I-it’s nice of him.” he agrees with a wince that tells Ella how much it cost him to say, “But -Ella, that makes it so much worse. Nobody is sayin’ it’s for Vegas, they’re sayin’ it’s for the court stuff- I’m not going. I’m sorry.”

It shouldn’t feel this devasting, having Jesse prove unable to pretend with her for a second, just one night, that it’s all turned out ok.

“You look so tired.” she sighs.

“I might take a nap.” he agrees.

He won’t, he’ll practice on his base as soon as she’s out of his room. “Ok.” she lets a dream go with stinging eyes.

“Ya know,” his soft call arrests her as she almost out the door, “mama didn’t have no prom.”

She turns back to him, surprised and unsure what the point is.

“I’m just sayin’-“ he waivers, “-you can be a great lady and have a nice life…without prom.”

“But I’m not mama.” she reiterates, firmly and annoyed, she was born a Presley, she was born to be prom queen and to be wanted and admired and loved.

Her plan to close the door, rather forcefully, when making her exit is stalled by his next comment, louder and challenging. “Then ask that Lieutenant guy, the one in California.”

“What?” she gapes, turning gingerly again to glare at him, at his presumption, at him knowing too much.

Jesse grins back, well wishing and honest in ways she can’t relate to. “If you’re gonna be a high and mighty little rich girl, do it properly. Get a man to take you, not one of those idiots. Make him wear his uniform, be your arm candy, and if it gets bad, he’s old enough to have a license and a car -hell, get him to fly you away if needs be. Make a scene.”

“I wouldn’t-“ Dare, she means, she wouldn’t dare. But now he’s suggested Johnny, the idea of anyone else accompanying her sounds as anti-climactic as Sandy’s crunchy lasagna.

“Oh c’mon!” he goads lovingly.

“Daddy wouldn’t-“

Elaine Presley is ensconced in a plush jet seat, newspaper page turned to the crossword puzzle, eyebrow pencil brandished since none of these ignoramuses in the Mafia carry actual pencils. “Have you accepted anyone?” she presses.

“No.” Ella says, “Slim pickings.”

“No, really?” Mama is surprised, and she is right to be, Ella has had just about everyone at school asking her to go, so maybe it’s less of a case of slim pickings and more of a case of the pickings being slim. He was engaging, easily carried the conversation and just dangerous enough to be fun, he might even take liberties and Ella would finally get to know what all the fuss is about. She wasn’t sure anyone else would dare with Elvis Presley‘s daughter. “I’m sure you’ve been asked-“ mama starts to look worried, probably wondering if the divorce rumors have gotten so damaging they’ve ruined Ella’s dating life.

“-soggy toast?” Mama suggests, knowing smile on her face and Ella sighs, it’s always easier with her than expected, just as it’s always harder with daddy than hoped for.

It’s now or never, so Ella ventures, “I was thinking of calling that Lieutenant I met.” she makes sure to say it as casually as possible, as if his name has slipped her mind.

"I cant tell, is this a positive or negative?"

Your voice was shaky and frail, holding up the test to your phone camera, trying to show your friend.

"blurry, cant see, read the box y/n. instructions are there" Your friend sighed, in her defense, it was late, and you called her out of slumber- but only because you were totally hyped at the sudden realization that you were finally possibly pregnant.

You and Jungkook had not necessarily been trying, nor necessarily avoiding it.

You both wanted kids, but never really specified when. Considering the fact you have now been married for 2 years, and your relatives are up your ass about when it is that you will have a baby, even though its not their business at all.

You wanted this for you, and today might be the day you get what you wished for.

"You just took it, let it sit for a moment"

you nodded at your friends words as you placed the test onto the bathroom sink, moving your hands to rest on your hips as your teeth tugged at your bottom lip in thought.

"whats on your mind, hun?" she asked

"a lot..." you giggled, drawing your eyes back to her. "If I am, I just hope Kook is happy, thats all I want"

"mm his schedule is so busy"

"I know, work always comes first with him, thats why im nervous. Its not like he told me to take birth control or anything, and we have condoms he just refuses to use one" you snicker

She laughs, "well then yeah what did he expect?"

"but hes a head manager at the company he works at, hes spent so much time climbing the ladder to get there, what if this throws him in a loop?"

You laughed at your friend, thankful you had some humor relief out of all the tension.

You gently flipped over the test and held it close to your eyes, a faint blue plus sign appeared, making your heart thump so loud it was audible in your ears.

"its positive?" your friends voice shot up 3 octaves

"YES!!!" you jumped around, wishing jungkook was home right now to show him, instead bathing in the moment with your best friend.

"congratulations, y/n, oh my god im so happy for you!!!"

"thank you!" you wiped a few tears, gripping the test almost as if it wouldnt be real if you let it go. "oh jesus this is so....wow!"

You nodded, taking a deep breath

Everything, in fact, was not alright.

It's been 2 weeks since that night you found out you were pregnant, and everytime you think you are ready to tell Jungkook, something happens.

"oh gotta go babe, they are calling me into work"

"too tired to talk tonight honey, i have to get up at 5am"

"not right now baby, maybe tomorrow?"

It never ended, he was in and out the front door constantly.

It was upsetting that the only time youve had to talk with him recently was when you both took a shower a few days ago.

"you need to sleep more" you kissed his chest, resting against it under the warm water.

You wanted your husband, you wanted him more than anything, and this feeling only turned to anger as you sat with him at the dinner table one night.

You were now almost 2 months pregnant and still have not told him.

You planned a nice meal to eat, his favorite.

You cooked all the vegetables and spent hours slaving in the hot kitchen making sure everything was up to perfection for him, just for him to come home at 2am with no text in regard to him being late.

"its late, honey, im sorry, we can eat tomorrow"

You stood to your feet before he could leave the room, all of your dishes sitting on the stove, some now cold. "no, we are gonna eat now."

You know he smelled the food, and never did he once acknowledge the fact you made his favorite dish, or thank you for it.

His eyes widened, not used to hearing the sudden tone in your voice.

"please....please just sit" your voice cracked slightly as you watched him slowly walk back to the seat, sinking into it.

"are you mad at me?" he whispered, watching your back as you heated up the food into a plate for him.

"mad..?" you chuckle to yourself, trying to gather your thoughts.

"yeah, mad. are you?"

You took the food out of the microwave and handed it to him, sitting on the other end of the table and looking at him desperatley.

"jungkook...have you noticed anything...different?"

He smiled gently, confusion in his eyes, "what do you mean?"

Your expression softened from hopeful to dissapointment.

"you dont see...you dont feel like anything is different?"

"no?" he half smiled, looking around awkwardly.

You looked down at your plate, teary eyes overcoming you as you tried hard to prevent your breakdown- but its been a long time coming.

"wha-"

"jungkook!" you cry out desperately, leaving him shocked and confused at the odd behavior.

"baby why are you crying? whats going on? what is this?" he panicked

"You!! im crying because of you!!" you stood, covering your face as you felt the embarrassment fall over you.

"what did I do?" he got up and tried to come over to hold you, but you pushed him away.

He let you talk, not knowing how to respond to anything.

"you are never home, Jungkook. I fucking miss my husband, okay? I spent 4 hours in this kitchen, sick as hell, making your favorite dish and I dont get any type of thank you, instead you come home 3 hours late and decide its time to sleep, you reek of alcohol as well" you wipe you tears hastily.

He stood, looking at you as his eyes teared up

"I know work is important, I know it is, But I matter too Jungkook!! We are married, I am your WIFE! im not just the maid and chef here, you know?

"baby I never said any of that-"

"you treat me like one!!" you cry, pacing the room, "see, you still dont even notice anything do you?"

He looked helplessly, "Im sorry, honey, I really am, but I need work-"

"not this much!!" you looked at him sharply, "Ive been home alone these past few weeks, dealing with a certain situation ive been terrified to tell you about all by myself!"

"im here now, tell me! tell me! what is going on and how can I fix this?"

"I just want you, jungkook....One fucking day, one fucking dinner" you gesture to the table "When was the last time we even woke up together and cuddled, or had a fucking cup of coffee and talked? Months...MONTHS!"

"my angel im sorry ive been neglecting you, why didnt you say something to me sooner?"

"I was trying to understand, I was trying sooo hard to put myself in your shoes but damnit, jungkook, I cant hide it anymore" you sobbed, knowing how crazy you looked to him right now. "Its...its not fair!!"

He gently grabbed your arm, leading you towards him, his eyes searching deep into your own.

You sighed, trying to adjust your breathing, "g-give me time, give us time." you wrapped your arms around yourself and looked at him.

"us?"

You swallowed harshly, trying to steady your voice, "im pregnant, Jungkook. I found out weeks ago and since then youve left me home alone with not an ounce of time for me to tell you, which is now resulting in this"

He froze, his eyes softening at you as he tears up, "pregnant? baby..."

"yes!" you step back, "and...and you didnt even notice! I tried leaving clues, I left the test in your bedside nightstand and you never fucking saw it?"

"n-no baby...youre pregnant, oh my god, honey" he brought you back to him, a soft yet sad smile on his face

"Its been all me, im the only one who has to deal with it and its not fair. If you dont have time for me, how the hell are you gonna manage to parent our child?" you glared "I refuse to parent alone, this is a team effort, jungkook. Yes money is important, but I need you, I need you to stop being a manager first and my husband second"

He took a shaky breath, part of him scared to say the wrong thing, "I- I understand honey" he nodded, holding your hands as he cried "fuck- im so sorry" you let him pull you into a tight hug "Im so sorry holy shit...im such a fucking dumbass, how could I not know?" he ran his hand up and down your back, face hidden into your shoulder as you both cried.

"you need to understand, I am serious, things have to change!"

"they will! they will! I'll change right now I promise Im gonna be here for you, for both of you" his hands held your stomach, desperation in his voice "dont leave...." he whispered

"im not going to, jungkook. But you need to stop working so much, I cant do this by myself"

"you dont have to, im here for you, whatever you need, fuck I'll take the rest of the week off for you, just let me hold you" he squeezed you tighter

"I miss you so much" your voice was quiet

"I love you, im so sorry I never noticed, Im so dumb baby....I love you,I love you" he cupped your face and pressed a delicate kiss to your lips, forehead against yours, "thank you for all you do, im an ass for not recognizing any of it"

"I love you too....just please...do it for us...?"

He nods "anything....for you, i'll do fucking anything baby." he kisses you once more as you both gently sway in the kitchen. The tension of the argument still lingering in the air, thick and prominent.

This wasnt a fixed issue, more so a stepping stone to him proving his words.

If he wanted to be a dad, he needed to show you he was ready for it.

"he is crying again" you sigh, rubbing your eyes and sitting up to look at the baby monitor.

"I'll get him" jungkook immediately got up and walked down the hall, following the sad cries that led him to your baby's room.

"little man...its 4am...why the tears?"he frowned at his 3 month old who's arms flared around.

the first 2 months of Kaiylin being born, you kept him in your main bedroom at night but you wanted to test out how he would sleep on his own, and so far its not been good.

"you want mama, huh?" he picked him up, holding him close and gently bouncing his knees. He didnt smell, so it wasnt his diaper, and he had just been fed not too long ago, so it was easy for jungkook to know he just missed his mommy and daddy.

He slowly walked into the bedroom, you were about to fall asleep. "oh kai" you frown as your husband places him into the bed between you both, his body facing the smaller ones so he doesnt fall out or move around.

"aw baby" you rub his head softly, "its okay now, shh, shh"

Jungkook gives you an empathetic look, "I know you havent slept im sorry"

You shrug, "i'll nap tomorrow"

"I'll take him into my office, he can sit in his rocker while you nap"

You smile softly kissing your husband, "thanks, baby"

You had to admit, Jungkook has stepped up more than you assumed he would. Hes began to work from home, giving time for not only your little family, but especially you and him.

He has been such a help with everything, from watching Kai during the night, to cooking and cleaning for you, its been 100% teamwork since you gave birth and you couldnt thank him enough for it all,

Things were finally starting to even out and you could not have been happier, the man you married in the first place was returned back to you, in the form of a loving father.

"hes sleeping again, look" jungkook whispered

Your eyes darted to the newborn in between you and your husband, you slightly giggled, "poor thing"

"co-sleeping just works I guess" he smiled, leaning over to kiss you gently, "go back to sleep honey, ill watch him for a bit, its okay."

"I love you, thank you..." you looked at him

Ruo Ren and the Desert CIA have now both figured out they're both in the city and plotting shit.

Princess 2 was kidnapped by a brothel and her rich girl temper tantrums are not gonna cut it. She needs to pick up some of her non-boyfriend's famed martial arts.

Im just gonna keep asking you swap AU stuff until it takes off in the fandom (this AU has dozens and dozens of fans who are all making things IN MY HEART)

SO, next big thing I'm thinking about is who becomes Firelord. I kinda see Zuko following along to the plot beats of cannon Azula's madness arc, breaking under the pressure of trying to hold everything together and playing too many sides at once.

Meanwhile, Azula's getting all the important character-building relationships with the gaang. ALSO since Lu Ten is still alive, he could also be a viable contender for the throne, but something makes me think he'd follow Iroh's arc and want nothing to do with being Firelord. Royal advisor AT MOST, but alas 🤔🤔

Ngl I really like the idea of Lu Ten becoming a royal advisor, since Azula is still so young. He doesn’t want to become Firelord, but he still wants to help his cousin the best he can.

So I made a lil doodle cuz I like making lil doodles

Then I had the urge to draw Zuko during his breakdown so I made a more rendered piece

I will admit I quickly scribbled this together to not make u wait for an answer any longer so it looks a little off 😭

Otherwise I’m quite happy with it

So yeah, Zuko goes through a madness arc like canon Azula after he believed everyone was simply using him. Azula never accepted his help, which just frustrated him, Mai and Ty Lee betrayed him, and his father only showed his “love” after Zuko began excelling at fire bending. All this made him believe his mother was just using him as well, which is why he snaps at her hallucination like canon Azula.

That being said, I think it’s worth mentioning that he still had a good relationship with her as a kid. She taught him to be kind, hence the reason he’s so insistent on helping his sister. But his patience had limits.

After Zuko is defeated Azula takes the throne and Lu Ten becomes her royal advisor, as he thinks she’s too young to rule on her own.
