Torn IV
Kewis x Child!Reader
Summary: You zone out sometimes
Tumblr media
It was Kristie's fault.
Or, really, Kristie was blaming herself.
Time off from football meant spending time with family which has now transformed into wedding planning.
Wedding planning with Sam was a bit like getting blood from a stone. Sam didn't really care about colour pallets and flower types and patterned tablecloths.
Kristie had to practically hold her hostage every time they sat down to plan and, with all her focus on keeping Sam in one place, you'd kind of slipped through the gaps.
You'd always been an independent player and you'd never had any problem asking for attention when you wanted it but it was up to Kristie and Sam to notice when things went downhill health wise for you.
It was one of the odd days that Sam was out, having another check up on her knee and Kristie was the only one at home with you.
You're playing by her feet, making a series of growls and chirps for your dinosaurs. Helen sits on the table in front of you, absentmindedly cleaning herself.
You go silent suddenly and Kristie leans forward to see why.
You've frozen in place though, staring straight at Helen like you can't even comprehend she's there.
"Chook?" Kristie calls," What is it?"
You don't answer.
"Chook? Chook!"
It can't be more than fifteen seconds before you snap out of it, almost immediately going back to playing with your toys.
Helen mews at you softly and you look up at her in confusion as she wanders over to butt her head against your hand.
"You want to play too, Helen?"
"Chook?"
"Yes, Mommy?"
"Why did you stare at Helen like that?"
You frown, turning to look at Kristie. "No I didn't."
"Chook." Kristie's voice goes firm. "Don't lie."
"I'm not!"
"Chook, I'm not trying to tell you off. I was just curious."
"But I wasn't, Mommy!"
"Chook-"
"I didn't! I didn't!!"
"Chook-"
You get up and run off to your room, slamming it closed with a thump and Kristie sighs deeply at your behaviour.
She pushes the thoughts away though, forgetting about them and not mentioning them at all to Sam. It was just a little thing. It hardly mattered, not when getting Sam to finally decide on the menu for the wedding was more important.
But it's still there in the back of her mind. Somewhere very deep in the very back of her mind because she finds her watching you zone out every so often.
She times it, almost always around fifteen seconds. You zone out randomly, sometimes you blink, sometimes you smack your lips together or jerk your hand in random intervals.
But you don't seem to remember it, immediately going back to what you're doing.
Kristie watches you do it now, at her bedside in the middle of the night. You're just staring at her, blinking randomly and she reaches out for you.
"Chook?" She asks," Chook, baby, are you okay? What's wrong?"
You're still frozen for a little bit before clarity appears in your eyes again and you say," Helen threw up on my floor."
Kristie sighs, whacking Sam on the shoulder, jerking her awake.
"Sam," She says," Helen threw up in Chook's room. We need to clean it up."
"Wha-? Huh?"
"Helen threw up," Kristie repeats," All over Chook's new carpet. We need to clean it."
Sam drags herself out of bed. "I've got it. Come on, Chook. Let's go check on Helen, huh?"
You nod and Kristie gets out of bed too, frowning.
"Chook," She calls as Sam gets to work cleaning up your carpet," Can you come here a sec?"
You pad over obediently, letting Mommy touch your forehead and check down your throat.
"Mommy," You complain," Helen's sick! Not me!"
Kristie's not convinced.
They've been happening on and off for days now. It's a wonder it takes this long for Sam to notice but eventually she does.
It's a quiet day off and, for once, Kristie isn't jumping down her throat at wedding planning.
Sam's planning on relaxing with a movie but she's staring at you instead.
You're staring at her too, technically but you're not really. You've got that glazed-over look in your eyes that your teacher had told Sam about just two days ago when she picked you up from school.
Your teacher told Sam to try to snap you out of your daydreaming but she thinks this is different. You have no concept of what's going on around you.
You have no idea Sam's waving her hand in front of your face.
"Kristie!" She yells out, panicked," Chook's being weird!"
Kristie doesn't seem as panicked when she comes in though, inspecting your face before sighing.
"We need to take her to the doctor."

Little Terrors
Lando Norris wants to jump his wife's bones. She has to remind him of the consequences of unprotected sex
Dad!Lando
Tumblr media
God, his wife looked so sexy. After three kids, she still had it. But that wasn't a surprise to him, he knew she was damn sexy, and she always would be.
Even when she wasn't trying.
No, she was just sitting on the bed, reading her book. (Faerie smut, she'd read chapter fifty-five to him and he'd been horrified. That was what his wife was into?)
Her old pyjamas, stretched out and slipping down her body, not hiding much at all, looked so damn sexy on her. It had him crawling across the bed towards her.
He pushed her book away and pressed tender kisses to her lips. "Can I?" He whispered, pawing at her pyjamas like a horny teenager.
She giggled at him and let him pull her pyjama top over her head. Immediately, he kissed down her chest, hips desperately grinding against the bed sheets. "Lan," she laughed, hands moving through his curls. "Go and get a condom."
He pulled away from her to search through his bedside table for the packet of condoms. The empty packet of condoms. "Shit," He mumbled as he sat back.
She took the box from his hands, checking to see if it really was empty. "Oh, baby," she mumbled as she tugged at his curls again. "We can get some and try again tomorrow night."
But then his eyes lit up and he grinned. "Or we could just not use any protection," he suggested and attached his lips to her neck, trying to convince her.
The laugh that escaped her lips couldn't be considered pretty, but Lando still loved it. "Are you joking me?" She asked as she pushed him away. "You really want another child? Did you forget about the three devil spawns we already have?"
The Personal Massager
"Dad?"
Lando hummed as he drank his coffee. "What do you want, Wy?" He asked his six year old son and oldest child.
He sat back in his seat and turned his attention to Wyatt Norris. He had his dads same curls but, other than that, he was almost the spitting image of his mother.
He was damn cute and could probably get away with murder.
When Lando looked up and saw what Wyatt had in his hands, his face fell. "Do you think mum would mind if I borrowed her massager?" He asked so damn innocently.
Lando's face paled. "Yeah, Wy. She'd be very upset if you borrowed her massager," he said and tried to snatch it away from his son.
But Wyatt saw the way his father's expression changed. And now it was time for some fun.
He held it behind his back, away from his father. "Are you sure?" He asked. "I don't think she'll mind. Can you call her so I can ask her?"
"No, Wyatt! Give it here!" He tried again to reach for it, but Wyatt went running through the house. Forgetting his coffee, Lando chased after him.
It was all just fun and games to little Wyatt Norris. He didn't realise what he had in his hands, didn't know that he had to put it down! "Wyatt! Come back here!" His father roared as he chased him up the stairs.
Wyatt giggled as he tried to shut himself in his bedroom. But Lando caught the door and threw it open. Wyatt looked at his father, ready to laugh at him, but the look on his face had him falling quiet. His dad was the good cop, the one that didn't get angry. But, right now, Wyatt knew he was in for it.
"Give it," Lando said, holding out his hand.
Wyatt placed the... massager in his fathers hands and awaited his punishment. "Grounded," Lando said, immediately.
"Why?" He asked, but Lando didn't answer, didn't get stuck in that loop. One response to why, and it was all Lando was going to be hearing for the rest of the way.
The Paddock
Lando's little princess could do no wrong. She was the youngest of three, barely old enough to talk, but she already knew she had her father wrapped around her little finger.
Lando loved taking his kids to the track. His boys holding onto him in some way while he carried Arabella to the McLaren garage. His fellow drivers stopped the three of them to say hello to the boys and coo at just how cute Ari Norris was.
She really was cute, but that was what made her so damn dangerous.
For once, the boys were on their best behaviour as Lando took them into the McLaren garage. He almost couldn't believe it, but he stayed quiet. The moment he was to say something, they would have been running around, out of control.
He sat the boys in his drivers room with something to read while he carried Arabella around the garage on his hip.
"There she is," Oscar called as he grinned across the garage. Oscar Piastri loved Arabella Norris. But Arabella Norris did not love Oscar Piastri.
He cooed as he approached and Arabella giggled as she reached towards him. Acting as though she loved him. Nobody was ready for what was to come.
As soon as Ari was settled in her Uncle Oscar's arms, her face went red, screwed up, and she started screaming. Her cries were so damn loud, echoing through the garage.
It was an awful, horrible sound. Oscar's eyes went wide as he stared at the screaming child in his arms. "Lando!" He called, but not much could be heard over Ari's screaming.
But, the moment Lando heard his daughter screaming, he was making his way back across the garage. "C'mon, Ari," he mumbled as he took her and kissed the top of her head. "It's just your Uncle Osc." But there was no way she could hear him.
Sighing, Lando took her back to his drivers room. He bounced her until she calmed enough to fall asleep against him.
Arabella Norris wanted attention from her father and nobody else. The moment somebody that wasn't her father was holding her (with the occasional exception of her mother), she was screaming the house down for him.
The Broken Stuff
Hugo Norris was the clumsiest child in the world.
"Are you sure you've got it?" His mother asked as he began walking out of the kitchen with a glass of lemonade in his hands.
Hugo rolled his eyes. But the second he had done it, his face was flushing and he was full of regret. He should not have done that. "I got it, mama," he said and walked out of the kitchen.
For a little while, everything was fine. Mrs Norris listened out for the unmistakable sound of glass shattering as she cleaned up from lunch. But it never came, and she released a relieved breath.
But then she heard it. The unmistakable sound of glass shattering. "Oops," came Hugo's voice. His mother didn't hear it, though. She grabbed the dustpan and brush and went rushing to the room her middle child had disappeared into.
"Oh, Hugo," she mumbled.
Hugo didn't even have socks on. Placing the dustpan and brush down, she grabbed her child and carried him out of the room, placing him in the hallway. "I'll get you another drink in a minute, Hugs," she said and sent him up to his room (he wasn't in trouble, she just needed a moment to clean up.)
While she cleared up the shattered glass, things were quiet. Wyatt was reading in his room, Arabella was down for a nap, and Hugo was waiting for her to bring him a drink in a plastic cup. She loved her clumsy child, even if he was a little exhausting sometimes.
She didn't hear the second crash over the sound of the hoover, collecting up the tiny bits of glass that she couldn't see with her naked eye. Didn't realise anything had been broken until she headed upstairs with another drink for Hugo.
One of Lando's trophies was in several pieces on the floor. "Oh, Hugo," she mumbled for the second time that day. She walked a little further down the hall and knocked on Hugo's door.
When she pushed the door open, Hugo was hiding beneath his blankets. "Baby," she said as she sat on the end of the bed and placed the water on his bedside table. "Tell me honestly, did you break your fathers trophy?"
He sniffled. "He's gonna be so mad," He cried.
She shook her head. "No, baby. He'll understand and we can always get it fixed. You know, your father used to break trophies back in the day."
Hugo pulled the blanket away from his head. "He did?"
She laughed and launched into the story.
Back to the bedroom
The Norris's laughed as they recounted the stories of their little terrors. "Okay," Lando said, tossing the empty box of condoms to the floor. "Maybe we could do with one more," he said as he rested his body on top of her own. "What do you say mamas? Wanna make another?"
She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. "One more couldn't hurt, I suppose," she giggled and kissed him.
That night, and every night for the next few weeks, was what led to her pregnancy. But it was expected and it was what they had wanted. Just one more baby.
Just. The. One.
At her twelve week scan, they found out they were having twins. Oh, she was going to kill her husband.

Hi ✨️✨️
Emily's sister likes Reid and flirts with him a lot before asking him out and he's all shy.
your type | spencer reid x prentiss!reader
Tumblr media
warnings: none really, alcohol consumption, flirting
word count: 1.7k
a/n: hi!! hope you enjoy nervous spencer :) love him. reblogs and comments appreciated <3
half team were sitting around the office, finishing off the last of their paperwork for the night, it was a friday night and a certain member of the team was growing bored of filing away the never ending pile of reports. hotch, jj and gideon had already left for the night, leaving the rest of the team to finish off the workload.
emily leaned back in her desk chair, her red long sleeve shirt complimenting her complexion as she tucked her dark locks behind her ears.
“it’s friday night- we should go out and do something fun. lets go to a bar.” emily spoke, interrupting the sound of keyboards clacking and paper shuffling.
“i agree, let’s get out of here.” derek grinned, standing up from his seated position to have a well deserved stretch, his shoulder making a popping sound as he did so.
“reid, you in?”
spencer adjusted his posture at the sound of his name, his head turning towards his colleagues.
“i don’t know guys- i kind of wanted to read ‘the history of torture’ by george riley scott.” he responded, scratching the back of his head.
“the history of torture? on a friday night?” derek shot spencer a confused expression.
“just a bit of light reading.” spencer shrugged.
“nope, i want you guys to meet my sister, she’s a bartender at this new place down the road. it’ll be fun.” emily stood up, grabbing her bag that sat under her desk.
“but-“
“you can read tomorrow, right now it’s time for you to socialise. morgan text garcia, let’s go.”
spencer found himself sitting in the backseat of emily’s car as she drove downtown, derek sat in the front. penelope had replied saying she would meet everyone there.
“i don’t see why the child locks were necessary.” spencer mumbled, pulling on the inside door handle.
“shh. we’re almost here.” emily pulled up next to bar, there was a group of people standing outside cigarettes resting between their index and middle fingers. clouds of smoke plumed into the night sky, through the hazy air a neon sign read ‘the wine seller’.
emily unlocked the car, stepping out and strutting her way to the entrance, derek and spencer following close behind. in the midst of all the smoke stood garcia, her blonde hair tied in space buns with a blue polkadot dress adorning her form.
“are we ready to party!” she exclaimed, clearly she had already had a drink or two.
everyone stumbled into the bar, immediately a wave of noise washed over them. i’m the centre of it all, people were dancing on each other flashing lights casting rays of colour over their sweaty bodies.
“is your sister cute?” derek questioned emily over the loud music.
she rolled her eyes in response. “you could say that.”
“what’s her type?” he grinned, scanning the bar.
“oh you’ll see.” emily chuckled.
spencer rolled his shoulders nervously, trailing behind emily who was making a b line for the bar. she called out to a girl who was facing the shelves full of liquor.
“y/n!”
you whipped your head around to see where the voice had come from, a grin immediately forming when you saw your older sister stood at the bar.
“emily! finally made it out of the office i see.” you chuckled, grabbing a bottle of vodka from the shelf and pouring it into a shot glass for the man that stood at the bar. he nodded as a thank you and made his way back to the dance floor.
“it’s busy in here wow.” emily muttered, eyes scanning the room as she rested her hands on the bar counter.
“mhm i sure know how to bring in a crowd, what can i get for you and… you lot?” you peered around at the three people behind you. penelope rushed to emily’s side giving you a big smile.
“oh right, this is penelope, derek and spencer, from the bau.” you gave everyone a small smile, your eyes lingering on the taller hazel eyed man who stood awkwardly behind emily.
“i’ll take a pink gin and lemonade.” she shouted over the music, you nodded with a smile and reached for the gin.
derek strolled over to the counter, eyeing you as you picked up a gin glass.
“i’ll just have a whiskey.” he shot you a grin which you returned.
“make that two.” emily added, rooting in her bag for her wallet.
you made the drinks and laid them out along the counter for the team to take.
“and for the cutie in the back?” your voice travelled to spencer who seemed caught off guard by your comment.
“uh- me? uh i’ll have i uh- vodka soda.” he stuttered out, heat rising to his face.
“whatever you want sweetheart.” you shot him a wink and began to make his drink.
emily turned her focus to derek who was sipping at his drink.
“i see why you wanted to bring reid here so bad.” he laughed, and then dragged garcia to the dance floor.
“y/n what time do you get off, will you have a drink with us?” emily asked, taking a gulp of her drink immediately feeling the alcohol’s warmth spread through her body.
“twenty minutes em, then i’m all yours.”
“come find me later!” your older sister yelled out, disappearing into a crowd of warm bodies.
you served up spencer’s drink, passing it to him. he tucked his hair behind his ear before reaching for his wallet to pay.
“don’t worry, it’s on me.” you shot him a charming smile which he returned.
“t-thanks y/n.” he reached for the drink, taking a small sip, before taking a seat at the bar. you raised your eyebrow slightly in surprise, not expecting him to take a seat.
you could tell he was very much out of his element, that everyone had just come from the office. he wore a white striped button up shirt paired with a pair of suit trousers, his tie hung loose around his neck. his big eyes wandered around the room before falling back on you, you had already moved on to making cocktails for a bridal party to his left.
spencer studied your form, your quick movements and ability to multitask in such a busy environment impressed him. you wore a tight black tank top along with a black miniskirt the ended just above your mid thigh, and a small black apron was tied around your waist.
he couldn’t help but stare at your figure as you rushed around the bar, your form fitting clothing showing off every curve to your body, in all honestly he was infatuated.
finally the rush had died down and you were making your way back to your side of the bar to polish more glasses, you noticed spencer’s intense gaze on you and smiled to yourself.
“you like what you see, dr.reid?” you questioned, poking fun.
he immediately pulled his fixed look from your body and up to your eyes.
“i- uh sorry.” he nervously sipped at his drink, feeling embarrassed.
“don’t be, you’re pretty cute yourself.” you shot him a small wink and he felt his face flush.
“so spencer, how are you liking working at the bau?” you quizzed, carrying a stack of glasses to the shelf behind you.
“uh- it’s good, i like that i can help people.” he muttered out a vague answer, which he followed with a question.
“a-and do you like being a bartender?”
you shrugged, wandering back to stand in front of spencer.
“it’s just a part time job, i’m studying criminal psychology right now in college, im in my third year.” this got his attention, he straightened his posture, taking another sip of his drink.
“oh really? that’s so interesting- what do you plan on doing after?” he seemed less anxious now.
“i’m not really sure, might do a masters- it was emily’s suggestion.” you let out a small laugh, spencer longed to hear you laugh more.
“i take it this isn’t really your vibe?” you stated, looking around the bar at people making out and dancing, spencer followed your stare. emily and penelope were in the middle of the dance floor cheering derek on who had now taken his shirt off and was swinging it above his head.
“uh- no not really, i didn’t really plan on coming here tonight, but prentiss- your sister, she kind of child locked me in her car.” he mumbled out, an awkward laugh leaving his mouth.
you pinched your eyebrows, shaking your head and letting out a joking sigh. “she’s trying to set me up.”
“set you up?” he repeated what you had said.
your face warmed as you began to speak, “i broke up with my ex over a year ago and was recently complaining about how i can never meet any decent guys at the bar, because- i mean look.” you gestured to a corner where a group of frat bros were downing their beers.
“and em said she knew someone who would be great for me.” you eyes landing back on spencer.
“you mean me?” he pointed to himself, still somewhat confused.
you nodded. “i mean she managed to guess my type exactly, can’t blame her there.” you now gestured to spencer, his face burning a dark crimson, and it wasn’t the alcohol’s fault.
“i mean i hope you’re single- and i’m not just aimlessly flirting with a taken man. that would be a little embarrassing..” you trailed off, rubbing the nape of your neck, your tank top lifted slightly revealing your midriff.
“i- i yeah i’m single.” spencer couldn’t quite grasp the fact you were flirting with him, on purpose. he honestly thought someone like you would either be in a relationship or have a line of much more attractive men just waiting to take you out.
you smiled at his flustered state, you thought he was adorable.
“well then, dr.reid, would you like to go on a date with me sometime? maybe a café or the park, somewhere not as chaotic as this?” you questioned, you were pretty confident in yourself, which was something that ran in your family.
“yeah…i would like that, a lot.” he smiled at you, you quickly jotted down your number on a piece of paper, passing it to spencer.
your eyes flickered to the watch on your wrist, a smile spreading across your face.
“time for me to clock out, darlin. i’ll be right back.” and with that you skipped off into the back of the bar to grab your things, your heart beating twice as quick.

PROMISE NOT TO DROP ME? ONLY A FOOL WOULD DROP YOU. ( HOTD x Reader ) [ Pt. 2 - FINAL ]
AUTHOR NOTE! Thanks for all the love. <3 pairing: Prince Aegon Targaryen x Lady-in-waiting! Reader prompt: Aegon attempts to get you to ride a dragon once again, this time more gentle and whiny than before. word count: 1, 000+ words
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After his failed attempt to get you on dragonback, earning him a bruised ego and a hard kick to the groin. Aegon knew that he needed to try a more softer way. If not for your sake, then for the sake of his groin avoiding your heel meeting it once again. He couldn’t handle the pain or the judgmental look from the Maester as he was given milk of the poppy. So, he was left thinking one thing.
How would Helaena sway you into going on dragonback?
It was hard. Helaena was different and her way of coaxing you was foreign to Aegon. She would just leave you be. But, he attempted to do it more gently. He would fly overhead the Red Keep on Sunfyre, the golden dragon twinkling in the sunlight. He would speak of his dragon and the wonders of flying on dragonback. He would offer then leave you be when you said ‘no, you fucking idiot’.
Surprisingly, it worked well. Your eyes would twinkle with wonder. Your face, full of curiosity when you listen to him speak. It was subtle little things. He had caught your interest in flying on dragonback. He loved it, like a cat who had caught his prey. Then, you had caught him off guard one day.
Tumblr media
Watching you chew on your bottom lip, you stand far away from Sunfyre, arms crossed over your chest. He could practically smell the nerves wafting off you. The battle of whether or not to go through with the action of getting on the saddle is clear on your face. Biting back the cruel comment on the tip of his tongue, he stands by your side, patiently waiting and waiting. He wanted you to fly with him. He wanted it more than anything. So, he was determined to not ruin this.
“We can turn back.” He whispers, leaning in closer to you.
“No. I came all this way, I will continue.” You shake your head, “I just..I just a moment.”
Nodding his head softly at your words, he fights back the giddy smile that threatened to spread on his lips, not wanting you to use that against him. Watching as you take a step forward, he perks up, only for you to take that step back. A scowl slowly spreading on his lips. He did not get dragged at the ass crack of dawn just for you to back out now.
Tucking his hands behind his back, he rocks on the heels of his shoes, boredly chewing on his bottom lip to hold back his comments. He wanted you to hurry up, but he was going to wait. Hopefully, not any longer. He couldn’t handle the tension anymore of ‘Will she? Won’t she?’ bullshit.
“I hate you.” You state out of nowhere.
“Wonderful.” He sighs, “Does this mean you are going to get on?”
“I really hate you.” You mumble, hands shaking at your side.
Nodding his head in agreement at your insults, he lets out a soft irritated breath, resisting the urge to just throw you on the saddle. He would wait, for once in his life. Watching you tightly close your eyes, you press your hand against the wall, slowly inching toward Sunfyre. Snorting loudly at your behavior, he trails after you in amusement, no longer irritated and fully amused. You looked like a child about to go to the Maester’s for an illness.
“I hate you. I hate you. I hate you.” You mumble, words falling out like a mantra.
“Many do. But, this is really entertaining.”
“I hate this. I hate this. I hate this. I hate this. I hate this. I hate this. I hate this. I hate this. I hate this. I hate this.” You mumble, slowly inching closer to Sunfyre’s nest.
“Just a little more, Y/n. Tis’ not so bad once you get on the saddle.” He encourages gently, not bothering to hide his amusement.
“I hate you. I detest you. I hope you choke on your wine tonight. Why did I let you talk me into this?” You whimper out, eyes tightly shut.
Tumblr media
Hearing him laugh and snort loudly, you didn’t have it in you to open your eyes and scold him, too fearful of opening your eyes and seeing Sunfyre looming above. Dragon’s were not supposed to be ridden. It went against nature. Yet, here you were, letting Aegon Targaryen, the drunken fool⎯who more than once pissed his pants, talk you into going on a flight with him. Letting out a loud groan, you attempt to hype yourself up, earning a loud laugh from Aegon.
“Tis’ not so bad, Sunfyre is a good boy.” He laughs, “Come on, now.”
“Tis’ not the dragon that I fear, tis’ the foolish rider that I am about to share a saddle with.” You scoff, opening your eyes slowly.
“I am not a fool when it comes to riding on dragonback.” He scoffs, shaking his head.
“You carried me to the dragonpits against my will.” You glare at him, “Are you truly asking me to trust you now?”
“Fair enough, fair enough.” He nods, accepting defeat.
Fighting back the urge to throw up and pass out, you slowly turn your head away from him to look at Sunfyre, the dragon bolting up from his rocky nest in a flash. A blur of gold flashing by before a loud territorial screech filling the air. Scrambling backwards out of fear, your back bumps into Aegon’s chest, his arms securely wrapping around your waist.
Letting out a loud gasp of fear as the dragon looms over intimidatingly, you try to get out of Aegon’s arms, but are unable to. His grip was firm, keeping you locked in place, forced to face Sunfyre. Two big green reptilian eyes staring you down like you were prey. All and any confidence dying in a blink of an eye.
“Easy, easy. He’s just curious and tends to get excited.” He dismisses, his hot breath fanning your ear.
“No, no, no! Let me go! Let me go!” You screech, “I don’t want to do this anymore!”
“Easy, Y/n. Just let him sniff you, you’ll spook him if you just leave.” He whispers, “Just breathe and stay still.”
“Aegon!” You screech, voice dripping with anger.
Refusing to let you go, you cower in his arms as Sunfyre lets out a huff, the stench of dragon and ash filling your nose. Feeling your heart stop as Sunfyre screeches territorially, the dragon takes a step forward, the ground vibrating with each step. Slowly tilting your head up as he stands at his full height, the dragon takes a big whiff of the two of you, nearly making you pee in your pants. He was pretty, a glittering gold. But, seven hells and heavens, was he the utmost and utterly scariest thing you had ever laid your eyes upon.
“He likes you.” Aegon chuckles, “He’s already gotten territorial over you.”
“I hate you.”
“Yes, yes, we’ve well established that you hate me.” Aegon nods boredly, “Can we now pet him?”
“I don’t want to.”
“Come on now, just a small pat. So he knows you better.” He pesters, “You’ve already faced him, you can just give him a small pat.”
Shaking your head in protest at the suggestion, Sunfyre bends down in front of the both of you, also as if he knew what Aegon was attempting to do. Cringing as Sunfyre snuggles his snout towards you to touch, you cower in Aegon’s arms, not wanting to touch the dragon. This was already enough for your liking.
Going to the Dragonpits willingly? Good enough. Actually coming face to face with Sunfyre? More than good enough. But, petting Sunfyre? Actually getting on the saddle? Aegon would owe you everything for this. If you could actually find it within yourself to do it.
"Come on. Don't be a coward."
"I won't hesitate kicking you, again." You threaten, digging your nails into his forearm.
"No, no, no need. I take it back, forget what I've just said." Aegon quickly rambles out, "Actually, just pretend that I never spoke in the first place."
Letting out a nervous grumble, you shakily reach out, your hand extended out in front of Sunfyre’s snout. The golden dragon staring you down. Swallowing the lump in your throat, you slowly press your hand against his snout, feeling the rough scales against the palm of your hand.
Feeling a cold shiver run down your spine, Sunfyre purrs loudly at the touch, like a little kitten. Going to pull your hand away, Sunfyre lets out a high pitched whine, chasing after your hand. For a split second, it reminded you too much of Aegon. But then again, like rider, like dragon.
“Don’t get too comfortable with her, she’s my friend, not yours.” Aegon scolds, glaring at Sunfyre.
The dragon huffs loudly.
“Do not huff at me.”
The dragon flicks his tail, some dust flicking at Aegon.
“Oi, I’m the one who brought her here. She was mine first.” Aegon scowls, “And she’s going to be mine when we go back to the Red Keep.”
Rolling your eyes as Aegon bickers with his dragon, you hesitantly brush your fingers against the leather dragon saddle, the leather worn and rough. Looking back at Sunfyre, the dragon lowers himself onto the ground, almost as if he was telling you it was okay to climb on. No, no, no. This was mad. Completely and utterly mad of you. But, the curiosity for the unknown wonders of flying gnawing at your self resolve. Pulling back your hand, you turn to Aegon, muster up the little courage you could find.
“If..If I do this, actually do this. Promise not to drop me?”
“Only a fool would drop you.” He whispers reassuringly, nodding his head.
And you truly believe him.

Could I make one where Balwin's wife is pregnant but during childbirth she is surprised and it is not a single baby, if it is not 3 triplets and they are chubby and pink, what will be people's reaction?
♡ Sweet Surprise - King Baldwin x Reader ♡
Tumblr media
♡ Fluff ♡
A/N: Hello Anon! Thank you for the request, I think that this was one of the ones that got deleted by the glitch a little while ago so I'm so sorry about that, but I'm glad you sent it back in so I could complete it! As always, this is based on the film Kingdom Of Heaven, not the real historical figures. Enjoy!
TW: Leprosy, Child Birth
It was exactly one month after the union between the king and queen of Jerusalem that y/n fell pregnant.
After many weeks of trying, it had finally happened.
The young couple were overjoyed, having exceeded all doubts about Baldwin’s fertility due to his illness. It was truely a blessing from the lord Himself and needless to say, the entire kingdom was of the same opinion.
As the months went on, the queen fell heavily pregant. More so than what was expected. This worried the physicians greatly, believing that there may be something wrong.
Y/n was confined to the royal chambers to preserve her health until labour.
Baldwin was destraught. Thinking irrationally, he believed that it had something to do with his disease.
His anxiety grew with each passing day, no matter how many times his queen consoled him and assured him that the situation was no fault of his own.
---------------------
And then, the day came.
The king was out overseeing the construction of a new church in the kingdom when a servant on the back of a large stallion sprinted up to the small group of officials.
“MY LORD MY LORD!” he shouted, leaping down from the horse, panting and tripping overhimself.
“Oh my, are you okay? What is going on?” Baldwin replied, his heart quickening at the thought of an emergency.
“My lord, its the queen, she is in labour!”
The king and the rest of the small party waisted no time in mounting their horses and cantering back to the castle as fast as possible.
When they arrived, Baldwin payed no attention to the pain that his body was in. He lept down from the horse, ignoring the surge of agony that shot through his lower body when his feet hit the ground.
He was the first into the castle and ascended the stairs to the royal chambers in no time.
Breathing heavely, he pushed open the doors with the last of his strength before falling to his knees.
Two maids immediately rushed to his side, helping their king to his feet.
“Y/n! Is she okay? Is the baby alright?!” he asked urgently, still panting heavily.
“Baldwin!” y/n called from the bed, “I am alright my love, come see!”.
As the kings vision cleared, the bed that held his wife came into view. As did the baby. And another baby? And another? In the queens arms lay three, healthy, chubby, pink babies who were all sleeping peacefully against their mothers body.
Baldwin gasped, a wide grin quickly spreading across his mask covered face.
The maids helped him to the bed, sitting him down carefully beside his wife.
“They are all healthy sweetheart, thats why my belly was so big! There was nothing wrong, I was just holding triplets!” y/n said, an equally wide smile on her face.
The young king was lost for words and overcome with nothing but pure joy.
“I- I cant believe it! This is the most amazing day of my life! Oh thank you lord!’’ Baldwin praised, his grin hidden by the mask.
He pressed his forehead against the top of his wifes head, squeezing his eyes shut.
“I cant believe this is happening! I have never been happier” he said, feeling tears of joy welling in his eyes.
Y/n chuckled, “neither can I darling. And I thought we were blessed with one, but THREE!”
Baldwin opened his eyes to look down at his children.
Each one was plump and healthy. Their arorable faces melted his heart.
“There are two boys and one girl” the queen said softly.
“Would you like to hold them?” she asked.
Baldwin thought for a moment, “I dont know if that is a good idea, what if they get sick? I couldnt live with myself if-”
“Darling” y/n cut him off gently.
“It will be okay. You are clothed and you are wearing your mask. Nothing will happen I can assure you. Allow yourself this moment, you deserve it” she told him with a smile.
He took a deep breath before nodding, leaning against the headboard of the bed and holding out his arms.
One by one, y/n carefully placed each tiny bundle of life in his arms.
Two of them stayed in peaceful sleep but ones eyes opened slowly. It was one of the boys. He did not cry like many babies would, he simply yawned and looked up at his father with big blue eyes. Big blue eyes, just like Baldwin’s.
The kings heart swelled with joy and happiness again at the sight of his son. His own son.
“Oh my love look!, he has your eyes” y/n cooed, looking at the adorable little boy in her husbands arms.
“Yes, he does!” Baldwin’s own eyes welled with tears at the sight and he fought back a broken sob.
Noticing his tear filled eyes, y/n placed a hand on her husband’s shoulder.
“Are you okay darling? Whats wrong?” she asked, suddenly worried.
“I’m alright my love. I’m just so happy, I never thought this day would come. Theyre so perfect, youre so perfect. Thank you y/n- I love you so much”
He tried his best to prevent tears from running down his cheeks, but when the chubby little boy in his arms smiled up at his fathers masked face, he could not fight it.
Y/n wrapped an arm around Baldwin’s shoulders and pulled him closer to her.
“You deserve this happiness sweetheart. I love you, and our family is, and will be, perfect” she kissed her husband's cheek and layed her head on his shoulder.
The king nodded, a small smile returning to his face.
He felt like the happiest man alive, and he knew that as long as he had these children and y/n in his life, he would stay that way for all eternity.

my takes on the clones (+ scudworth and mr b) in the future :)
yapping under the cut
joan works as a director on her experimental arthouse films, which she shows at festivals. even though they aren't very successful, they managed to attract a few niche audiences. when she isn't working on her movies, she makes ends meet at hot topic. in senior year of high school, she and confucius decided to try things again, and both got married a few decades later (oh and also, she got her psylly legs cured!)
abe got a degree in history and works as a high school history teacher. he tried to get into law school in an attempt to live up to his clonefather but dropped out as soon as he realized that it wasn't for him. he gained a lot more confidence that his teen self, and even fixed his posture (would you look at that!)
jfk was at his peak when he played college football, managing to get into a few amateur yet prestigious leagues. now he works as a coach to younger (and sometimes irritatingly inexperienced) teams. he moved with abe to big city usa after they got married.
cleo began working as a model taking advantage of the fact that she's a clone of queen cleopatra (although people don't think it's literal). she went through a few plastic surgeries because she couldn't bear the thought of aging, even if they aren't that noticeable (still). she goes as far as dyeing her hair at least twice a week (grey hairs are for ugly old people, which she isn't!) and follows the same skincare routine she did as a teen, hence why she looks like she hasn't aged that much.
gandhi got thawed out approximately 30 years after the others did when one of the janitors accidentally broke the thermostat of the meat locker. if adapting to the 2020's was hard for the clones then 2053 is no easy task either. what happens after he gets out? i have no idea
harriet was an actress in a few plays for a while and even got to stage twister: the game: the musical at a local theatre, which recieved mixed reviews but got people talking for a while nonetheless. she lost touch with pretty much everybody else except for joan and frida: the three still hang out whenever they can.
confucius pretty much had his whole life sorted out after graduation: he was going to enjoy his foster parents' fortune and not go to college. however, his plans quickly went south when jernice and archibald were tragically mauled by a bear while attempting to hunt it, leaving their inheritance to confucius' foster sister. he works as a computer technician and sometimes helps his wife with her films. he occasionally phones jfk to chat for a bit, since the two remained pretty close.
frida went to art school and works as a painter, doing commissions and selling her art. she had a band on her youth with her college friends, where she was the lead singer and guitarist. after she and cleo moved out from exclamation, they adopted two cats and a xoloitzcuintle dog named señor xólotl, who is like a child to them
topher and the bleacher creatures became incredibly popular after cloney island was destroyed, given that villain village was a success. they received offers to perform in movies, series and attend interviews: people were fascinated by them. their fame was quickly cut short when a brand new, much better texas themed park was build where cloney island once was a few years later, stealing all the attention from them. topher now works as a janitor in clone high. when he isn't removing gum from under tables or unclogging toilet pipes, he spends time on his computer accompanied by his four therapy possums. he still hangs out with the bleacher creatures and they all make the lives of the most insufferable students miserable, just to lighten up his work a bit. some students who were littering reported snakes coming out of their lockers and biting them, and they never knew why.
scudworth and mr b live in a retirement home. the only one who visits them is joan, who sometimes phones or visits them whenever she's in town. because of this, scudworth has developed some resignation towards the others, which he spills out to mr b on an almost daily basis. despite this, deep down he misses them a lot and wishes he could see them.
the first pic's quality is dogshit on mobile for some reason so here's some closeups:

„ we both like apple cider, but your breath is smellin' like fruit punch
𝜗𝜚 jason grace x daughter of poseidon
+ platonic percy jackson x sister reader
Tumblr media
synopsis ; you and jason had just started dating. neither of you were ecstatic about telling your brother, percy, about your relationship. so, you did the most reasonable thing two demigods could think of;try to pretend your just friends around him.
⚠️ ; reader is a tad dramatic ab how protective percy is, percy being a good older brother, not proofread, iris camper gets targeted bc i didnt know who else to put 😭, piper n jason didn't date in this fic, reader was kinda a bitch to percy (not in the end tho!!), don't go much into how reader n jason pretend to just be friends, reader is a tad out of tune with her emotions, mainly reader and percy centered, kissing, percy being incapable of doing his laundry, percy being a drama queen twords the end
requested ; yes, by anon !!
Tumblr media
jason and you had only been dating for around two weeks. and it was rough. not being with jason, no, that was amazing. you had been crushing on him as soon as he arrived at camp with leo and piper. you had never been happier for your relationship change with him. you would never be.
percy was the problem. you loved your half brother, you really did. but he has a tendency to be a bit overprotective of you and tyson. most times, you don't mind at all. it means the ares cabin tries to pick fights with you less, the hermes cabin doesn't target you as much, etc.
but, percy and you dating don't go together very well. you had only dated one other camper, a child of iris, before you both decided you would work better as friends after a couple months.
percy had been there for those months, and he was not a happy camper. he consistently hovered over you and the child of iris, never letting the two of you be together by yourself, let alone in your cabin. he got better the longer you stayed together, but the underlying protective side of him was always present.
which is why you're trying to hide your relationship with jason from percy. you know percy means well, but you learned he can be a bit suffocating at times. even though jason and percy were friends, you know he'll still get protective.
so, both you and jason had mutually agreed to try to keep your relationship a secret from percy until you felt comfortable enough to tell him.
༉‧₊˚.
"so when do you think he'll catch on?" piper asked you as she laid down besides you on her bed. you were having a sleepover in the aphrodite cabin, piper wanting to share the latest gossip with you as usual.
"hopefully after we tell him," you chuckled, flipping through the pages of a vouge magazine you found on the floor. "i know percy isn't dumb, but i'm hoping that with us not being all lovey dovey with eachother in front of him pays off."
piper nodded her head. "yknow he might not mind you dating jason as much as that iris kid you dated a while back. i mean, the two are pretty good friends with eachother," hehe said as she scooted closer to you to view the magazine.
you sighed lightly. "i guess, i just don't really know," you said. "i don't want percy and jason to not be friends just because percy doesn't agree with me dating," you countied, looking at piper for advice.
"babes, i don't think percy doesn't agree with you dating. he just wants what's best for you, so he has high expectations for whoever you date." she mused, giving you the advice you were seeking for, even if it was going against what you had said.
"and, that iris kid was not cute; i can see why percy didn't want you dating them." drew added as she walked by the two of you.
༉‧₊˚.
it was a couple days after your sleepover with piper, and you were laying in your bed in your dad's cabin. you had thought over pipers (and drew's light commentary) words and realized that you were being a bit dramatic for how percy acted.
it was natural for him to be protective over you, just as you were of him. thinking about it, you would have been weary of annabeth if you were at camp before they started dating. and, drew was right. that camper you dated before was not the cutest, and also wasn't the best partner.
which percy had probably picked up on; which explains why he was so weird with you dating them. suddenly, the idea of telling percy that jason and you were dating didn't seem that bad, now having reasons for percys past behavior.
him and jason were friends, i mean they did go on a world saving quest not long ago, and they seemed to get along just fine together. (minus when they fought over a chair, piper told you that as soon as she could).
and, percy was probably really confused now thinking about it. both you and jason had tried to spend as little time as you could with him since you started dating; worried that one of you would slip up and accidentally tell him. whenever you saw percy, you tried to walk the other direction, and anytime he said something to you or tried to hang out with you, you made an excuse of being too busy.
you were brought out of your train of thought as the door opened to the cabin, percy walking in. he looked like he just got done with training and taking a shower. his hair still looked slightly damp, and he wore his orange chb shirt with his cargo jean shorts.
it seemed that he didn't notice you at first, lightly humming a tune while walking over to his bed. he started folding the pile of clothing that was on his bed, and that had been for about a week now.
you lightly coughed to alert him of your presence in the cabin, causing him to pause in his humming and turn around.
"hey, you." he said. "you tryin' to avoid me in here? yknow it isn't as affective because it's also my cabin," he tried to joke, but it just fell flat. you sighed lightly, sitting up on your bed and making eye contact with percy.
"i've been a bitch to you," you stated. his eyes widened and he laughed at your statement. you rolled your eyes in response. "i own up to how i've been acting and you laugh?" you said with an annoyed tone of voice.
percy quickly shuts up and sits on his pile of clothing bed and mirrors your position. "i wasn't laughing at you, i was just surprised that you said that instead of something else." he defended, smiling over at you. "have anything else to say?" he asked.
"me and jason are dating."
"i know."
you stared at him in surprise. "you know?" you asked with genuine question in your voice.
percy chuckled. "yeah, i do. pretty easy to tell when both of you start avoiding me and i see you two sucking eachothers lips off behind the zues cabin." he mused, a hint of mischief in his eyes.
"and, you don't care?" you asked, still in shock with the information percy had just given you.
"why would i?" he said. "i mean, i know jasons good for you, i've seen it with my own eyes. he's a good person, has good morals, knows how to treat a girl right, i mean he might've been raised by a wolf but that guy is good." he says, getting up and taking a seat on your bed next to you.
he wrapped one of his arms around you and brought you closer to him. "i love ya kid, and i only want what's best for you. and jasons exactly that." percy said as you leaned into his embrace.
"but i also want you to know that if i do find jason n you making out again, the zues cabin might become flooded. just a warning in advance," he joked, but you wouldn't be surprised if that was a true statement.
you only hummed in response, bringing an arm to wrap around percy. "sorry i was such an asshole, i just wasn't expecting you to be okay with it," you said in a timid voice, not used to being so truthful with percy about these topics.
"apologie accepted," he said. "but, if you date another person like that iris kid, i'm gonna be the bitch, deal?" He asked, pulling away from the embrace and holding up his pinky finger, wiggling it lightly when you didn't move.
you rolled your eyes, but brought your pinky up to his.
"deal."
༉‧₊˚
it was friday night, which meant campfire night. after your conversation with percy, you had gone to the zues cabin to explain to jason your talk with percy. jason was more than happy that percy was okay with the two of you. (he would never tell you but he might have jumped around his cabin and im'd thalia as soon as he could to tell her).
jason and you sat at the camp fire, with the rest of the seven. even if you weren't apart of the prophecy, you still became friends with all of them; they like to refer to you as the hoary member of the seven.
jasons arm was wrapped around your shoulder, brining you to lean into his side as you both stared into the fire. one of the apollo kids was playing a song you didn't recognize, but it didn't really matter.
you were surrounded by people who you loved and who loved you back just as much: the main ones being jason and percy. both of them held special places in your heart. jason was your love, the part of you that you were always missing. percy was your sibling, even if only half, and was your partner in crime.
you saw jason make a quick glance in the direction that percy was in out of the corner of your eye. jason moved the two of you so both of you were face to face. he smiled softly at you and you returned the gesture. you saw jason take a quick glance down at your lips, and you got the cue. both of you leaned into eachother, lips softly connecting with one another.
it wasn't your first kiss with jason, but it felt like it. not feeling like it inexperienced and neither of you knew what you were doing. it felt like the first kiss because it was the first one that was happening with your relationship being out in the open.
all of camp had caught onto the fact that jason and you were dating pretty fast, as the two of you could be seen everywhere together: holding hands, kissing eachothers cheek and hands, and jason walking you to your cabin at the end of everyday.
with the warm fire and light storms of gutair in the background, it felt like you finally found exactly where you were supposed to be. you silently sent aphrodite a prayer in your head as you felt jason bring a hand up to your cheek to deepen the kiss.
both of you pulled away slowly, needing to breath for a moment. jason looked at you with such adoration in his eyes, showing nothing but his pure love for you in the moment. both of you smiled softly at eachother, jason bringing you closer so your foreheads could rest against one another.
as the song came to an end, a loud dramatic gasp was heard to the left of you.
"JASON MY LOVE HOW COULD YOU HAVE DONE THIS TO ME?" a voice, that you emideantaly recognized as percy, said. "I THOUGHT WE HAD A LOVE NOONE COULD EVER REPLACE," he countined as both you and jason rolled your eyes, pulling away from eachother.
percy approached the two of you as another song began, "jason, bud, on a serious note, you better treat her right okay? she only deserves the best and i'm expecting you to give that to her," he said in probably the most serious tone of voice you've ever heard.
as you watched jason give a salute to percy, piper and leo gave you a thumps up from behind jasons form.

The Zigvolt family has been known for protecting the Draconia family since Baur Zigvolt first joined. The youngest grandson, Sebek, loved hearing stories about how his grandfather worked alongside Queen Maleficia. He decided that he would be the same. Sebek would do anything for the Draconia family.
Malleus needed some tea? Sebek was there to brew it.
Someone tries to stab Malleus? Sebek would take the hit instead.
Malleus told him to jump off a cliff? Sebek would do it like he was platform diving.
Nevertheless, Sebek's loyalty to the family was very high.
"Sebek, it is not the end of the world. I'm pregnant, not terminally ill. I want some cake."
Human Draconias were now included.
Said human frowned as she walked side by side with Sebek. He did not understand why she insisted on this rather than the knight carrying her and flying.
"Your Majesty, you are carrying the future heir of Briar Valley! Because this is the child of you and the Young Master, they are my responsibility, as are you now. I assure you, we are almost at the castle. I can ask the chefs to bake you some and the staff to massage you."
"I don't have time to sit and wait." The Queen whined. "This baby wants one now, and Lilia said that bakery nearby is to die for." She said, pointing at a quaint bakery that was not busy.
Sebek looked at the place with uncertainty. The Queen sighed. "You don't have time to think about it. The lunch rush will start soon, so let's go before we lose our chance. This baby needs food to grow!" She grabbed his hand and dragged him to the bakery.
"Your Majesty!" Sebek exclaimed, a blush evident on his face. "The child needs love to grow."
"This child won't get love if I don't get a slice of cake and fast." The Queen cheerfully grinned as she pulled her retainer. Who knew the grandson of the great Baur Zigvolt would get dragged around by a human, his Queen nonetheless? Said grandson would rather go through this than besmirch his Queen.
A bell and a faint "coming" brought Sebek back to reality. Oh, what would Malleus say when they came back late?
(Little did Sebek know that Malleus would cling to his wife when she stepped inside the palace.)
"Sebek, I was thinking about getting this cake." Queen Draconia said, pointing at a small green cake topped with fruit and green flowers.
"Good choice, Your Majesty! The green really matches the Young Master's eyes." Sebek exclaimed and walked up to the counter to order, unaware of the Queen muttering about how the fruit was shaped like a crocodile. The Queen chose to sit down and rest a bit.
The back door opened, and a new figure appeared. The newcomer was female, had some icing smeared on her cheeks, and was dressed in a uniform that matched the aesthetic of the bakery. Like the Queen, this woman was also human.
"Hello! Are you ready to order?"
"Yes, human. I want an order of this cake!" Sebek said, pointing at the picture his Queen pointed to earlier.
"Alright, anything else?"
Sebek stared at the menu behind the woman. "A small cup of black coffee."
"Alright, your total will be 12 thaumarks." The woman said with a smile. Her eyes shifted slightly to the Queen behind Sebek.
"How sweet. You are such a doting husband to your wife."
For a brief moment, Sebek thought he heard thunder in the distance.
"SHE IS NOT MY WIFE! I AM NOT WORTHY ENOUGH TO BE MARRIED TO HER MAJESTY!" He exclaimed while frantically waving his hands, causing the Queen to laugh loudly.
The woman winced at his volume. "Okay, I get it, but quiet down a little before I lose my hearing."
"How dare-" Sebek stopped when the human raised her hand, silencing him. How could a human do something like that to him? The retainer to the great Waka-sama???
Sebek quickly put the payment down and glanced at his Queen, who had a smirk on her face. "I apologize, human. I did not mean to yell at your establishment."
"It's Yuu."
Sebek's eyes widened, and he swore he heard a snicker behind him. "I'm sorry?"
Yuu pointed to her herself. "My name is Yuu, not human. And I will call for you when your order is ready…"
Sebek stood up proudly. "Sebek Zigvolt, a loyal retainer to the Draconia family!"
Yuu giggled. "Sebek. I'll make sure to remember that. I'm new to the area, so I'm still learning."
"WELL IF YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT WAKA-SAMA THEN I SHALL TELL YOU EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM!"
Yuu removed her hands from her ears. "Alright. Why don't you tell me more about him now while you get your order?"
Sebek smirked proudly, unaware of his heartbeat slowly increasing as he stared at Yuu. "Of course! I shall educate you about the wonders, okay, how great Waka-sama  is!" Sebek exclaimed before heading into a tangent about the Malleus as Yuu worked.
Meanwhile, the Queen smirked and laid a hand on her stomach. "Oh, little one, hopefully you get a cousin soon."
Tumblr media
Sebek continued to visit the bakery for many months. He and Yuu had come to an unspoken agreement: he would passionately share his knowledge about the Draconia family with Yuu, and Yuu would give him a slice of cake to eat. Normally, people who listened to Sebek's rants gave not even decent praise about Malleus, but Yuu would listen to Sebek and ask questions when needed.
More humans should be more interested in Malleus like Yuu!
"Sebek?"
The knight shook off his thoughts and flew to his Queen's side. The palace roses she was admiring shook slightly from Sebek's movement. "Do you need something, Your Majesty?"
The Queen smiled as she let her finger brush against a rose petal.
"I do." She turned to Sebek. "I would like some more cake."
Sebek looked up in shock. It all started when Sebek decided to bring home the cake slice Yuu gave him instead of eating it at the bakery. He did not think about it, but when the Queen noticed the treat in his hands, she demanded more (not for free, of course. She insisted on paying!). It was not like Yuu could say no! In the end, the human added an extra slice just for the Queen. This did not go unnoticed as King Malleus grew concerned for his wife, and she burst into tears when he confronted her about it.
At least the bakery was high on business. Malleus learned to never question his Queen again.
"Very well." Sebek nodded stiffly. "Is that all?"
The Queen shook her head. "I'm thinking about throwing a party in honor of my future child—a baby shower, as humans call it." She snapped her fingers, and a servant holding an envelope appeared by her side. She picked it up and handed it in Sebek's direction. "I want you to deliver this letter to Yuu because I want her to make the desserts for the party."
Sebek grabbed the letter like it would disintegrate from his touch. "You Majesty, that is such a high honor! Are you sure she is capable of the task?"
The Queen smiled gently. "Of course, I always enjoy eating her cakes. Speaking of, I am craving some right now, and I would appreciate it if you got me more cake coming back."
Sebek nodded. "Very well. I shall see this plan through."
Tumblr media
Sebek should not be feeling nervous.
For crying out loud, he is a knight of the great Draconia family and a descendant of Baur Zigvolt! All he had to do was deliver something to a human. It would be a short interaction, and then he would be back in the castle.
But why does he feel like there were butterflies in his stomach?
"Tsk. How dare these insects get to me!" Sebek complained as he flew to the bakery. "Maintaining this condition will not make me serve the royal family at my highest potential. I shall get rid of them at once!"
As Sebek flew down the streets, he spotted a flower shop with a colorful display on the window. Some flowers around the bakery could brighten the atmosphere more. Would Yuu like flowers? What kind does she like?
"WHAT AM I THINKING?!" Sebek exclaimed, startling the townsfolk as he passed.
Sebek felt the butterflies increase as he stepped away from the door. The poor knight was confused. What was it about the bakery that made him so nervous? Was it the comfy atmosphere the moment a customer walked in? Was it the smell of fresh fruit and bread? Was it the human who ran it? The same woman who actively listened and asked Sebek questions during his talk about Malleus-
"NO! She cannot be in my thoughts all the time!"
"Who can't be in your thoughts?" A female voice asked, causing Sebek to scream.
"Human?! How long have you been here?" Sebek asked frantically.
"Not long. I was restocking when I saw you standing outside from my window." Yuu began to smirk. "You know you can walk in without forcing yourself to."
"I know that!" Sebek looked away and followed Yuu inside.
"Still, I can't help but wonder who the female you were referring to earlier is," Yuu questioned aloud as she closed the door before leaning close to Sebek. “Is there someone you fancy?" She grinned.
Sebek gulped. The close proximity made Sebek blush even more. Was her eyes always sparkling like diamonds? Did she always have a beauty mark on her cheek?
"I was referring to Her Majesty. The new prince or princess is coming soon." Yuu let out a laugh that sounded like music to Sebek. "Here!" Sebek pushed the letter into Yuu's hands. "A letter from her."
"Wow, that's important. I hope im not in trouble," Yuu joked. She carefully opened the envelope and scanned the contents. Her eyes widened, and she dropped the letter. Sebek watched as the paper fluttered to the ground.
"Yuu?" He snapped his fingers in front of Yuu's frozen face. Her eyes trailed from the letter to Sebek. Suddenly, she jumped on him and pulled Sebek into a tight hug.
"YES! YES! I will be honored to help the Queen on her big day!"
"Of course!" Sebek huffed. "It would be foolish to not accept this opportunity from a Draconia."
"Oh, there's so much to do!" Yuu pulled away and began to freak out in excitement. "What desserts does the Queen want? More important! What gender is the baby so I can plan accordingly!"
"I assure you, another knight, Silver, or I will come to get you to discuss these matters with the royal family."
Yuu smiled brightly, almost like the sun. She pulled Sebek in for another hug. "Thank you for bringing me the news, Sebek." The next thing Yuu did caused Sebek to blush wildly.
She kissed his cheek.
Sebek felt his body freeze and heat up simultaneously. His cheek felt warm, and the knight put a gloved hand against it to see if he was dreaming.
At that moment, Sebek's stomach decided to make itself known.
Yuu giggled, her smile brightening, and her eyes were focused on Sebek's growing blush.
"Well, let's get you something to eat before you go back. I was about to close for lunch anyway."
Sebek could not believe his ears. Him eating with Yuu? Alone?! Oh, what would Malleus think if he or his wife saw them? "I don't want to impose on your busy schedule."
"Nonsense! I prefer your company, honestly."
Sebek's heart could not handle it. His heartbeat increased, and he was sure Yuu could see how red his ears were turning. Sebek slowly backed his way to the door. "I should go-AH!"
Sebek was too stunned to speak. He did not expect Yuu to shoot a hand out behind him and use her body and the door to stop him. Technically, Sebek could use his strength or leave through the opening Yuu left, but he was too astonished to move.
"Sebek, please stay for lunch, and then you can go back to the castle." Yuu pleaded, her eyes staring into Sebek's for the second time that day.
The knight was relentless. He should not give into a human and return to his duty. However, Sebek would not admit it outloud, but he could stare into Yuu's eyes all day. Moments passed when he gave in.
"Fine, human. I shall join you today. Don't get any ideas."
Yuu could not stop the grin from forming on Ber's face. "Thank you!" She grabbed Sebek's hand and dragged him to the back. C'mon! Tell me what you want, and I can prepare it. You can also help me start planning, and I will make sure to pack a cake for the Queen before you go!"
Yuu broke into a carefree laugh as she continued listing her plans. Sebek's face turned red again as Yuu's attitude got to him. No wonder he grew to love it and would not mind seeing it more often.
Oh.
Oh no.
Tumblr media
"Sebek? Can I come in?" Silence. If Sebek said anything, Silver did not hear it. "Sebek?" Silver knocked. There was a loud groan in response. Silver started to get worried. This behavior was unusual for Sebek. "I'm coming in."
Silver peeked into his brother's room to find said male lying flat on his bed, his face buried in his pillow. Sebek shifted so his yellow-green eyes met auroral ones.
"Please leave, Silver. I need a day to lay here, and then we can talk."
"This is important." Silver sat down on the side of the bed and rubbed his hand against Sebek's back for comfort. "Father mentioned you were having issues regarding matters of the heart."
Sebek sat straight up and surprised Silver, who put his hand on Sebek's shoulder. "Master Lilia knows?"
Silver nodded. "He said that you had an expression similar to what Malleus and I had before."
Sebek groaned into his hands. He was usually great at being stoic. His grandfather trained him on it if he ever met a foe on the battlefield. How could a human make him feel this way? Sebek couldn't make sense of what he was feeling. The butterflies had increased his presence. "Oh, how could I show that out in public!"
A small smile adorned Silver's face as he rubbed Sebek's shoulder. "It's better I talk to you about this than Father. Luckily for me, he was too busy doting on the Queen or my sister and not asking when I would give him grandchildren."
"But you haven't proposed to your partner yet."
"Exactly," both Silver and Sebek chuckled. The brothers let the moment pass until Sebek finally addressed the elephant in the room. "Silver, how did you know when you…" Sebek felt a lump form in his throat. "When…" he began to struggle to form basic sentences.
"When I?" Silver asked, confused.
"LIKEDYOURPARTNER!" Sebek hid his face in his hands. There, he said it. The cat was out of the bag.
Sadly for him, Silver did not know where the cat was. "Can you repeat that?"
Sebek's hands immediately fell to his lap, and he turned to Silver with a shocked expression. How did Silver not understand his predicament?
"How did you know…when you had feelings for your partner?"
A genuine smile graced Silver's lips, and the boy folded his hands together to think. "You will know it on your own. However, I started to know when my partner continuously occupied my thoughts. The next thing I knew, I wanted to care for her and go through life with her by my side. I wanted to protect her from anything or anyone that may harm her."
"I see…" Sebek murmured, igniting Silver's curiosity. "Is the girl you fancy a human or fae?"
"A human. A beautiful and talented one." Sebek said with a certain softness Silver had heard before from Lilia and Malleus.
Silver could not hide his growing smile. Oh, how you've grown, Sebek. "What is the issue, Sebek? I think that you should court her."
"But what will the others think?" Sebek frowned. "You know how people reacted to my mother marrying a human." He did not say it aloud, but Sebek cared for Yuu enough that he would protect her from the prejudice of some faes.
Silver grabbed Sebek's shoulders and looked at him dead in the eye. "And they have a happy marriage and wonderful children. Same for Malleus. People opposed his marriage, but now the newest heir is coming. Things have changed, and who cares what blood is running through this girl's veins." Sebek frowned like an internal argument was happening in his mind, causing Silver to sigh and pull Sebek in for a hug. "Look, you like her for who she is; she probably feels the same. Don't let others dictate your happiness. Be her knight in shining armor."
Tumblr media
"Your Majesty, you are absolutely glowing!" Yuu squealed while maintaining a reasonable distance away from the royal couple.
Many months had passed since the big announcement, and Yuu still felt nervous whenever she entered the castle. Sure, she met everyone within the walls but was surrounded by famous names such as the Vanrouges and the Zigvolts. Yuu felt that a tiny mistake could end with her being zapped by lightning.
"Thank you, Yuu." The Queen smiled and caressed her belly. "The baby is surrounded with love from their family. They are very active. Probably gets it from her father." She turned to her husband, who sat on his throne beside her, with a teasing look.
Malleus smiled. It surprised Yuu how someone as intimidating as the King looked at his wife with adoration. "The baby also got her mother's love for sweets. I wonder how she did not get heartburn." He whispered low enough for Yuu to hear.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing, my love." Malleus placed a kiss on his wife's temple. "I was just discussing the cake for the party."
"Yes!" Yuu nodded in agreement. "It should be at the garden for later."
"I'm so excited!" The Queen squealed. "I'm sure it will be a boy!"
Malleus grabbed his wife's hand and squeezed it. "Well, I think the baby will be a girl."
"I have to disagree with you, Malleus," another voice added. Yuu watched as Lilia floated down to the Royals. Another woman holding a sleeping baby appeared by his side just as the fae's feet touched the floor. "I think the child will be a boy. Don't you agree, dear?"
His wife rolled her eyes in exasperation and handed her baby to Lilia. She stepped towards Yuu and pulled her into a friendly hug. "It's nice to see you again, Yuu. Why don't you save yourself from this endless argument and walk around the garden? It sure is lovely to see the roses without extra people roaming around."
"I heard that," Lilia interrupted as the royal couple continued their discussion in the background.
"I know, dear," Lady Vanrouge laughed as Lilia wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close for a quick kiss. Yuu felt a slight feeling of envy form in her chest. Oh, how she wished for her knight in shining armor to sweep her off her feet. Yuu's eyes shifted to see how Malleus looked at his wife gently as if she were a star in the sky.
Maybe she could have something like that with a certain green-haired, loud-mouthed knight-
Yuu's eyes widened. Don't think about it! She looked at her exit in a hurry. A simple stroll will help her clear her mind.
Lady Vanrouge spoke up, interrupting Yuu's thoughts. "Yuu? Do you want to go to the gardens?"
"Yes!" Yuu exclaimed until she reminded herself about where she was. "I mean, ahem, yes. I would love that."
The woman smiled. "Wonderful!" She turned her attention to Lilia. "My love, can you escort Yuu to the rose garden? I will mediate the other two."
"Of course," Lilia handed the baby to his wife and extended an arm towards Yuu. "Let's go, Yuu."
Tumblr media
The "walk" to the garden did not help Yuu at all. The girl prayed that Lilia could not feel her stomach churning or feel her clammy hands.
Since her arrival, Yuu had not seen Sebek or a speck of light green hair. Typically, Sebek was around the King and Queen to protect them at a moment's notice. Yet, Silver (who was sleeping) was in his spot instead.
An angel appeared on Yuu's shoulder. "He could be swamped today. You never know what could happen," the angel suggested.
"Please!" A devil appeared on Yuu's other shoulder. "Clearly, he is avoiding you because he doesn't want to be seen with you."
"You don't know that!" The angel argued.
"It's because she is a human. H-U-M-A-N."
"I think Sebek likes her for who she is."
The devil rolled its eyes. "Say what you want, but you know that is untrue."
"Yuu?" The angel and devil poofed away, leaving Yuu to look at Lilia's concerned face. "Are you okay?"
"Yes…" she started, but Lilia's face remained unchanged. "No. No, I'm not."
"Do you want to talk about it? I can listen," Lilia's face became serious and sympathetic, simmering Yuu's nervousness.
"Yes. I would like that."
"Very well," Lilia grabbed Yuu's hand. He skillfully navigated his way around until he stopped in a quiet hallway. He let Yuu go in first and turned around to check the area. "There. No one should be coming by anytime soon." He turned his attention to Yuu. "Now, what seems to be the problem? You seemed lost in thought earlier."
Yuu sighed. Here it goes. "It's about Sebek."
"Oh," Lilia tilted his head and had a clueless look on his face. "What about him?"
"I may have developed….feelings for him, but I don't know if it is mutual."
Lilia could not hide the smirk growing on his face, so he hid it behind a cough. "I see. Tell me, dear. What is it about Sebek that you like?"
Yuu chuckled and rubbed the back of her neck. "Well, there are many things."
"I'll say!" Lilia exclaimed, his eyes twinkling with mirth. Finally, after seeing two of his sons find love, it was Sebek's turn! Wait till Baul hears about this. "Is it the grumpy way he talks?"
Yuu laughed, reminiscing about her first meeting with Sebek. "Not really, but I thought I would lose my hearing there."
"Is it his dashing looks?"
"Lilia..."
"Or that he's socially impaired?"
"Lilia…"
"Or the one time he tinkled in his bed?"
"Lil-wait, what did you say?"
Lilia gasped and covered his mouth with his hand. "I said too much." Yuu didn't have to know that he was smirking, too. How boring would it be to not share the juicy stories?
"It's not all of those, although I don't want to know what that last one was." Yuu took a breath before continuing. "it's his devotion."
"Oh," Lilia raised a brow in interest. "Tell me more."
"Well…" Yuu blushed before continuing. "He is very devoted to the King and the Queen. He was attentive to the Queen since they first entered my bakery." Her eyes met Lilia's. "If he can be like that to them, then surely he would be as devoted to a significant other."
"Fufufu, I see. Then you must make haste and tell him your feelings!" Lilia urged, but Yuu shook her head.
"I would, but," Her eyes shifted away, and uncertainty crossed her face. Could she really face Sebek and spill everything? "Can I take some time to process this?"
Lilia smiled gently. "Of course. Take as much time as you need." He quietly led Yuu back toward the garden. "You know, I once worried about how Sebek would react to the new queen, given that she is human."
Yuu jumped out of her thoughts and eyed Lilia curiously. "And how did he react?"
Lilia stopped before a set of doors leading to the garden. "He kneeled before her and dedicated his life to protecting her."
Yuu smiled, her heart lighted with hope. "Thank you, Lilia, for your wisdom."
"You're welcome, Yuu. I will see you at the party." Lilia smiled before opening the door and vanishing in thin air, leaving Yuu alone.
Yuu turned to the doorway, and her jaw fell open in awe. The garden was indeed a sight to behold. The bright red roses oddly complimented the dark and eerie atmosphere of the castle's architecture. There were paths with hedges leading to the center and a fountain with a statue of the former Queen, Maleanor. The moonlight blanketed the flora by outlining each plant in a silver glow.
"Woah…" Yuu followed a path to get a closer look at the statue. According to a past visit from Sebek, the King had commissioned the statue to be built in honor of his late mother and Lilia's friend.
If only he had met her.
"I should court her now. I should not court her later…"
Yuu's ears perked up at the sound. It sounded like it was coming from nearby. Yuu could not shake the feeling that she knew it from somewhere.
It won't hurt to take a peek. Yuu quietly tiptoed to the source.
"I should court her now. I should not court her later…" Yuu stepped even closer, luckily not alerting the person. She leaned in slightly and saw a mop of yellow-green hair.
No. Way.
"Sebek."
"AGH!" Sebek screamed. "When did you show up?" He frantically threw the rose he held earlier over the hedge.
"I just got here-" Yuu tilted her head. "Although I want to know what are you hiding back there?"
"Nothing!" Sebek replied rather quickly. "Shouldn't you be with Her Majesty? I'm sure she needs your assistance."
"No, Sebek. I wanted to take a stroll and look for you," It's not like she has something important to say first.
Sebek felt his heart race. "ME?! YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON HER MAJESTY OR YOUR FOOD!"
Yuu felt her patience wearing thin. "Sebek, other people do that for me."
"But Her Majesty could be injured; we will not know unless we are there!
"Sebek."
"Honestly, being a part of these festivities is the highest honor in Briar Valley-"
"SEBEK!" Yuu exclaimed and attempted to trap him against the hedge. Except, the "wall" she was supposed to hold on to was not wood like last time, but shrubs. "Ah!" Yuu screamed and shut her eyes, bracing her landing on the ground.
But it never came. She felt something firm around her waist, tugging her body close to a firm surface. Her arms also wrapped around the figure.
"YUU! HOW COULD YOU BE SO CARELESS?"
Yuu opened her eyes to Sebek, who was red and very close, so close that Yuu could see how his slit pupils and long eyelashes.
"Yuu! Answer me!"
"First, you need to turn your voice down, or else I will lose my hearing before the party starts."
Sebek blushed out of embarrassment and nodded. He still remained close to Yuu and did not move. He could not move even if he tried. It was as if there was a magnet forcing him to stay still.
"Second, I want you to listen to me carefully because I will not repeat this."
Sebek audibly gulped, his throat bobbing in anticipation. Yuu took a breath. It's now or never.
"I like you, Sebek, and I have for a while now." Yuu briefly looked away from Sebek before continuing. "You don't have to reciprocate it; there's no pressure. I just wanted to let you know what's been going on in my mind for the past few days."
Sebek remained quiet, his heart racing. Here was the woman of his dreams confessing to him before he did. It did not matter anymore. It was not like he considered making his confession dramatic, like in the books he read. He could save that for another day, but this is now.
"Yuu, I also want to tell you that I have gained feelings for you," He reached over and gently grabbed Yuu's hands, holding them close like they were made of feathers. "I wish to court you if you allow me."
Yuu felt her heart explode into a million pieces out of pure joy. Her smile grew wide, and she nodded. That was all Sebek needed as he pulled Yuu close, and their noses were almost touching.
"Is it okay for me to kiss you?' Sebek asked shyly, and Yuu nodded, finding the question cute. He stiffened as Yuu gently caressed his face in her hands. "Let me know if you don't want this or if I overstep your boundaries."
Yuu chuckled. "Just kiss me, Sebek!"
The knight obliged and closed the remaining distance with the baker. His eyes closed instinctively, and he tilted his head, lips meeting hers in a tender kiss.
One of many more to come.
Tumblr media
"UGH, THEY ARE SO ADORABLE!"
"I KNOW! SEBEK HAS GROWN UP SO MUCH!!"
Malleus and Lady Vanrouge watched from a nearby sofa as their respective spouses sobbed from their hiding spots within the castle but with the couple in their view. Both faes glanced at each other nervously. Luckily, no one besides the sleeping Silver and Aurie was around to see this embarrassing moment.
"My love," Malleus called and summoned handkerchiefs to hand to his wife and Lilia. "We need to get ready for the party."
"I know, I know. Let me just-" The Queen blew her nose loudly and wiped the tears off her cheeks. "Okay, now I'm ready."
"Very well," Malleus hugged his wife and teleported them away, leaving the Vanrouge family behind.
"It feels like yesterday when I purposely scared Silver and Sebek for fun. Now he is going to have a wife soon! Oh, I need to tell Baur the news when he arrives!" Lilia bawled and blew his nose into his handkerchief.
Lady Vanrouge sighed. With one hand, she held her daughter and ran her fingers through Silver's hair with the other. Was it too late to take a nap with her children?
"My love, if you continue crying, you’ll wake the children up."
"I can't help it! Now we have two things to celebrate today!"
Lady Vanrouge sighed for the nth time today. Adding Sebek's new relationship on top of the upcoming heir will cause some waterworks among the guests. The woman looked up at the new couple and smiled.

A/N: WHY IS SEBEK HARD TO WRITE??? I swear he is a lot easier to write when he is with a chaotic group like the first years. Anyways, sorry for the long wait! Hopefully I get more out with the other characters soon!
Disclaimer: I do not own Twisted Wonderland and its characters. Those belong to Aniplex, Walt Disney Japan, and Yana Toboso.

Note
I hope you dont mind another one but it’s something i’ve been thinking about. Dw this is more hurt/comfort. Can I request Wriothesly, Ayato, and Tighnari reacting to an alternate version of their dead kid all grown up? Like my other request, can you write it where it happens during their respective Archon quest (and well for Ayato, his story quest)?
Context:
He used to have a kid. Whether the kid was related to him or not doesn't matter as he still loves them all the same. But one day, his kid died around their pre teens. I'll leave it ambiguous on how they died but their death broke him.
Few years later, the genshin impact plot happens and he meets the traveler and their companions where one of them just so happens to be his dead kid's alternate self. And they're all.. grown up. Despite looking much older, he knew deep down that that's his kid but also not really his kid because he knows his kid is dead, they died young.
The person in front him is just an alternate version of them. A glimpse of what his kid could be if they were still alive..
- Flower Anon 🌸
This one hurts so well, Flower Anon, so thank you so much for another great request!!<33
(Just like the other request, this is also generalized to make it easier for my fish memory brain-)
Content: Reader died young, mention of alt reader being more of a doppelganger in a way, grief, vague child death, angst, sfw
Reader has no set pronouns!!
((Not proofread))
Tumblr media
》TIGHNARI
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tighnari didn't notice at first, or well, he tried not to pay too much attention to the fact that you looked eerily similar to his deceased child. His heart was racing, ears flattening to his head momentarily, so many unsaid words stuck in his throat. And then there was nothing.
His face gently relaxed into it's usual deadpan, shoulders dropping, his instincts grimly reminding him that you were indeed not his child, but somehow just a coincidental and much older doppelganger of it.
But the heart ache began to linger for different reasons. Mainly due to the fact that a part of him finally healed at the sight of you. He always wanted his young one to grow up happy and healthy. And whilst it never got to do so on it's own, he allowed himself to imagine that his child lived on through this version of you.
Tumblr media
》KAMISATO AYATO
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ayato smiled bitterly, immideatly recognizing your younger features in this much older version. His heart hurt, ached, and felt like it was being ripped out all over again, yet his signature smile still remained. He had a role to play, an important title to uphold. But he still couldn't bare to look at you directly after the first time he did so.
His answers to the travelers and Paimons questions were short and swift, making it kind of obvious to his sister next to him how desperate he was to get away from everyone. Not that she could blame him, as she felt the same. Your death broke everyone in the family, and they found no joy in seeing you all grown up because this wasn't you. You weren't the child they lost.
Ayaka eventually feels too faint to continue the conversation, which frees the two siblings from you and your companions questions and confused glances. The silence between the two is deafening, as they watch you leave with dull, solemn looks, the questions of "what if" and "if only" plaguing their exhausted minds.
Tumblr media
》WRIOTHESLEY
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seeing you, an older you, stand there with the traveler and Paimon whilst he went to greet you both, made him nearly consider turning around and leaving at once. He never confronted your death, mainly to protect his strength and what was left of his sanity after he lost you. He never spoke of you either anymore, going as far as forbidding anyone to ever mention it, too.
He just couldn't stand it, having become so awfully bitter over time, and it only worsened at the sight of this alternate version. His jaw clenched, and he had to take a deep breath to quell his confused temper. Why did he feel so angry? Was it the regret and grief of never being to actually see the real you this way? Shouldn't he be glad that he had seen a glimpse of you as an adult after all? Perhaps his anger stemmed from the realisation of permanent loss. You weren't his child, despite the similarities.
It makes him become alot harsher to you three and the Hearth children that were lurking in the shadows. Whilst he may have been more merciful beforehand, he just wanted you all out already. He wanted to return to the peace he had made with the darkness in his heart. If it wasn't for Sigewinne telling him to focus on the plan at hand, he would've perhaps lost it entirely a while ago.

It is love
Tumblr media
Paring: Anakin Skywalker x Reader
Warning: Angst, heartbreak, fluff, Anakin is a senator here, not a Jedi.
Summary: In which Anakin does realize his mistake before it is too late, but will you be waiting for him?
Part two to: it was love.
A/n: I am so sorry for how long it has taken me, I was so busy with school, but proud to say I have my diploma now!! Enjoy xx
Also: English isn’t my first language so feel free to make me aware of any mistakes you may find. Ps: not proof read! Please point out my mistakes x
He felt all the eyes on him, felt his throat go dry as everyone waited for him to say those two important words.
But he couldn’t, how could he possibly marry her?
Padmè was everything he had ever wanted. Ever since he was merely a child and had first met her, he knew he was going to marry her, how could he not? She was so beautiful, and so nice.
But she wasn’t as beautiful as you, and she surely wasn’t as nice as you. She didn’t have your hair, or your eyes. Her heart didn’t beat the same way yours did and her hand wouldn’t look the same with the ring on as yours did.
Padmè blinked at him confused as he stayed silent “Anakin, I believe it is your turn.” she whispered while keeping the smile on her face.
He swallowed.
He looked into the crowd, away from the eyes that weren’t yours, “I can’t” he whispered as gasps were heard all over the room.
“I can’t.” He repeated as he looks back at Padmè, her face containing the same shock as everyone else’s. “I have loved you for all my life, I have fought for your love for years, and you never even looked at me. And now, while I’m standing here in front of you, I realize what love actually means,”
He swallowed again, though there wasn’t much to swallow, his mouth was completely dry,
“It means friendship,” he looks at the Preacher “It means that I won’t have to fight for that love, that I can just be myself.” He finished “and I don’t have that with you, I’ve had it before, but it wasn’t with you.”
He looks down as his heart felt heavy again, being reminded of the love he had received, and how he had taken it for granted.
Padmè looks at him, tears in her eyes, as she ran out of the room, letting her wedding dress flow behind her.
Anakin made no move to stop her.
And while she would always hold a place in his heart, somewhere deep inside, his heart didn’t burn for her anymore, perhaps it never did.
A few hours later, Padmè and Anakin stood together on the balcony they had shared their first kiss on, a few years prior. Nothing ever happened again after that, but it was still a dear please in both of their hearts.
She looked at him, and she told him she understands. She knew, somehow, why he was doing this.
Perhaps woman always know, he wondered.
“I know, Anakin.” She said, as he opened his mouth, “I was wondering how long it takes you until you figure out that you actually do love her, but I told myself I was just delusional, after all you left her, for me.”
She smiles sadly,
“The universe has its own cruel ways, I suppose,” she adds, as she looks at him again.
All he could do was look away, “I am so sorry, i never wanted it to come to this. I thought I was doing the right thing, divorcing her for you.”
Padmè nods at that, “You should leave, get her back, you shouldn’t waste any time.”
And with that, he was through the door, leaving Padmè all on her own, mourning the wife she could’ve been.
But she knew love was rare, and if Anakin had found it in you, she wished him the best of luck, praying that she will one day find her own man to love.
And it surely wouldn’t hurt if he hadn’t been married before.
Anakin started his ship, immediately flying to Aldeeran. He hoped he would find you at the senate, he wouldn’t really know where else to look.
As his ship landed a little while later, he felt his heart ease a little as he felt the grass under his feet, knowing he was one step closer to bringing you back home.
Back home as his wife.
He arrived at the senate, his eyes immediately spotting your bright smile as you stood with another senator, nodding your head along to what he was saying.
His body froze, suddenly all of his thoughts had vanished, all of the things he wanted to say died in his throat.
As your eyes made contact with his, and slowly widened at seeing him, his feet immediately started moving in their own accord.
Anakin moved towards you as he tackled you in his arms, closing his eyes and finally enjoying your presence again.
“Ani, what on earth are you doing here?” you exclaimed, your voice shaky as you tried wiggling out of his arms to look at him.
“I’ve missed you, I wanted to see you.” was all he could force out, his throat feeling even more dry than earlier.
You took a good look at him up and down, “did you get married today?”
He blinks at that “something like that,” he said quiet “but I needed to see you.”
at that, your eyebrows knitted together “on your wedding day?”
He shook his head,
“On my engagement day.” he whispered out as he got on his knees, desperately taking both your hands.
“I’ve been a fool, such a fool that it pains me to even think about it” he said slowly, his eyes watering a little “I made a mistake by leaving you, a terrible mistake and I plan on spending our whole lives making up for it, if you will only let me” he choked out.
You blinked at that “ani, stand up, what are you doing?” You asked shakily, not even believing what was happening right now.
“No.” Anakin Said determined “I want you back, I need you back. I will never disappoint you again if you will just give me this one chance.” he begs.
you just shook your head “you don’t mean it, you’ve said it yourself, you never loved me. And I can’t be the backup for you, I’m sorry.” your own tears slowly streaming down your face.
“Don’t say that, don’t you dare say that, you were never the backup for me.” he said desperately, “I was just too late, too late in realizing that i do love you. I love you as my wife, I love you as my friend and I will love you as the mother of my children. I don’t want anyone else.” he begs for your understanding.
you just blinked “how can I be sure?”
He slowly slid the ring you have left behind back in your finger, “you can be sure by becoming my wife again, and letting me show you all the love for you that I have been suppressing.”
Your teary face lit up at that as you looked at the ring on your finger yet again and gave him a tight hug.
He kissed your temple, “I shall never be as stupid again, you will be my wife in this, and in the next lifetime.” He promised.
And he held that promise.
A week later they stood before the same Preacher that Anakin had stood before just a week ago, and as he talked about love and friendship once again, his eyes watered, knowing he had finally found it again.
“I do, again!” you smiled happily, and this time, Anakin wasted no time.
“I do.” Anakin smiles, too.
And then, he took his wife home again, giving her many, many years filled with happiness.
Because love was always worth it.
And this,
This is definitely love
He thought, as he looked at his beautiful wife, playing with their son.
Yeah, this is definitely love.
A/n: wow, this was hard to write, but I had such a fun time!! Let me know what you think, and if you still want the sad version of this (which will probably take its time again). Love y’all!

A sneak peek of the next chapter of Come Away, O Human Child
The sun hangs low over the horizon, the red and orange light turning the ocean waves a shimmering golden hue that he can’t stop staring at.
The air is hot and humid, even with the salt-spray breeze rolling in off the water, but he just leans back on the beach, digging his toes into the sand and soaking up the heat with a grateful sigh. He was so cold earlier. The beach is strangely quiet, the crash of the waves and the cry of seabirds overhead the only sounds. Strange…even on the slow days, the beach is always crowded. It’s the height of tourist season—there should be music, laughter, voices. Sara and her siblings should be out splashing in the shallows, advertising the guided reef tours their pod gave during tourist season. Yet, when he turns to look up the beach, he can’t even see the bar. He’s…alone?
God, he’s so tired. He flops back in the soft sand, throwing his arm over his eyes to block out the gleaming Peruvian sunset, letting the residual heat from the day leech the last of the chill from his bones.
“Beautiful place. I see why you loved it so much,” a voice says beside him. The sudden intrusion should startle him, should have him jack-knifing into a sitting position, but he just hums softly and listens to the waves tumble onto the shore again and again. The voice is…not familiar, exactly. But known. He’s safe.
Safe…why wouldn’t he be safe?
There’s a grumbling groan, the barely-there whisper of sand shifting in between the crash of the waves, and a shadow falls over him as the stranger—no, not a stranger, is it?—sits down beside him. “Hell of a thing you did. I knew you’d be strong enough to wield it. But still a hell of a risk—not many would take it.”
Images flash through his mind at that…blue-green flames leaping up towards the sky, a surging swirl of violet and gold light surrounding him, the strange certainty that he was being granted a chance to stop something horrible from happening. Given a chance to try, though it was incredibly dangerous.
Given a chance to try, even though it would hurt him.
“Had to,” he mumbles, finally moving his arm and blinking up at the stranger.
The gleaming sunset light bouncing off the waves casts the man in deep shadow. He catches only a glimpse of salt-and-pepper hair under an old cowboy hat, a shine of familiar violet in the stranger’s eyes. He squints, trying to remember where he’s seen the man before. They have met, he knows that. They know each other quite well, don’t they? Or…or maybe the stranger just knows him?
Buck closes his eyes again, too tired to worry about it. He’s safe. He knows he’s safe.
“Of course you did,” the man chuckles. He sounds almost…proud. “That never changes, not in any possibility. You both have such big hearts, and they’re never treated gently—she always guards yours as best she can, but you give so much of yourself.”
He frowns as the breeze off the ocean turns a little cooler, burrows his bare feet deeper into the hot sand. Over the crashing waves he hears a new sound, a steady beeping. “I have to go back,” he mutters, his nose wrinkling in distaste at the thought. Even with the wind, it’s still so warm on the beach. It’s so cold back…back somewhere else. So cold, and there’s something missing—something’s missing, and he doesn’t want to face it. But… “Mads n’ Eddie’ll be worried.”
His sister and Eddie are close; he knows they are. More hazy, half-formed images flash through his mind: Maddie holding his hand and staring down at him with teary eyes; Eddie telling him they were there, they had him, and he was going to be okay. Of course he was. As long as he had Eddie and his sister, everything would be fine. But he needs to go back. He needs to…wake up?
He hears the man get to his feet and opens his eyes again, watching quietly as the stranger tucks his hands into his pockets and stares out over the water. The beach has grown darker, colder, the weird beeping sound growing louder by the second.
“We’ve…met before,” he says, slow and soft. He frowns again, shivering in the growing darkness. “Haven’t we?”
The man lets out a rueful chuckle. “Of course. I knew you the moment you existed.” He turns and squats down beside Buck, tilting his head. “I’ve done what I can for you, kid…it’s up to you now.”
Buck’s frown deepens. “What’s up to me?”
The stranger who is not a stranger smiles and stands, holding out a hand to help Buck up. Hesitantly, Buck takes it, finds himself pulled to his feet with surprising strength. “The possibilities.”
*
Hollow.
He wakes up in a hospital bed, IV lines and monitors hooked up to him in what seems like a dozen different places, and all he feels is hollow. He wakes up alone, blinking slowly as he looks around, taking in his surroundings, but all that registers in the gaping, shivering emptiness that sits in his chest where his magic should be. He thought he’d dreamed it, dreamed that when he reached for his power, nothing responded. He thought it couldn’t be real, that he was imagining the icy darkness where warm, golden light had always been.
Hollow.
There are healing runes sketched on his arms and legs, peek over the edge of his hospital gown when he peers down at his chest. He recognizes each one, can see the glow of their power in the dimly lit room…but it doesn’t feel the same. The magic is dim, distant—as though there’s a thick, glass wall between him and the power that has been a part of him for as long as he can remember. He reaches for it, tries to touch his magic, to push it out into the runes that look like they are almost at the end of their charge. Nothing happens. He reaches, and there is nothing to reach for. He takes a deep, shaky breath, his heart stuttering in his chest. The blankets are warm, threads of familiar, silver magic sparkling in the scratchy fabric. He would know his sister’s magic anywhere, but he can’t feel it. Trembling, he places his hand on the blanket over his stomach, feels the warmth of the fabric, but not Maddie’s power—not the silver glow that has always, always meant safety and warmth and love.
Hollow.
He can’t feel her. Their magic has always sparked off each other whenever they’re in proximity. Silver and gold, warm sunshine and cool moonlight, two parts of the same whole. He runs his fingers over the blanket, catches the soft glimmers of Maddie’s magic on his fingertips and cannot feel her power. Another trembling gasp and he squeezes his eyes shut, reaches again for his magic. There’s nothing there. Nothing. It doesn’t feel like it has the few times in his life he’s drained his magic enough to even notice, doesn’t even feel like the horrifying way his magic refused to obey him in his encounters with the Fae who holds his deal. There is an aching, cavernous emptiness inside of him—cold and hungry and…
Hollow.

"Teacher Kim can my friends come over into the centre?"
"Sorry bud but they're not part of the centre so I'm not allowed."
.
"Teacher Kim can Fleet have some of the treats?"
"I really wish I could but since they're not part of the centre and Max really doesn't want another incident I can't."
..
"I wish Teacher Kim would let us bring you guys in." grumbled the youngling.
The others groaned in agreement.
"Okay kids time to come in! The suns are too hot now and it's time to eat!"
The children walk begrudgingly towards the centre through the tall orange grass. The suns on this planet were so hot that even the children didn't complain when it was time to go back inside.
The ones part of the youngling centre made their way inside, waving goodbye to their friends who were not.
"..five, seven, aannd ten! Wow small group today." The human turned to head inside with the younglings when they realized something.
"...where are your parents?"
"Ours or Quin's?"
"Everyone's."
"They're in a meeting."
"Where?"
"On the ship." Juno pointed up.
"Do you know how long they'll be gone."
"I don't know. They left in a hurry...I think they forgot us."
"...get in." the human sighed and walked inside.
"REALLY!?" screamed the children.
"Teacher Kim you said that kids who aren't part of the centre can't come in!"
"I know I know and they're not! But I can't just leave three unsupervised kids out in this heat! Now get in, its hot and Quin your face is redder than usual."
...
"You get water, you get water, everybody gets water! Now who's hungry?"
Hands go up.
"So everyone. Alrighty then."
"Why is she letting us have water and food?" whispered Quin.
"I don't know...maybe it's a apex thing?" whispered back Juno. Her little brother simply chugged his third cup of water.
"Not an apex thing," replied Xw. "I think it's a pack thing?"
"Not a pack thing!" shouted Nova. "Most packs only share food with babies and the sick. Its a herd thing."
"Nope." said Marl.
"Herds only share with those who are family or have family status." explained Tarlak.
And on went the conversation. Each child trying to figure out what type of dynamic humans have. Meanwhile their teacher looks on with amusement.
....
"Oh my stars I am SO SORRY! Thank you so much human Kim!! I swear I thought I grabbed them when I brought their bags with me!" stressed the parent hugging her children with two arms while shaking the humans hands with the other two.
"No worries!" she smiled.
"And kids, I'm so sorry! You must be starving!"
"Oh I gave them some food, so they might not be that hungry. Also Judo had lots of water so he may want to use the bathroom first."
"Oh, how much do we owe you?"
"Sorry?"
"How much do we have to give you to replace the food and water they had?"
"Uh nothing?"
"...huh?"
"They were hungry and thirsty and I just did what any other adult-human! Would do...it's a human thing."
"....alright then. Thank you very much human Kim. Come along children."
And thus the younglings and adults learned what dynamic type the humans have. The human type. Which is honestly pretty stupid to the adults because just giving food to unknown children who aren't even their species? Are they trying to go extinct??

It was already late in the night, when Judy and Keaton had left, and it was finally time for a very tired Emma and Niall to go to bed, too. While getting changed, the couple was keeping mostly quiet, their relationship still a bit strained from what Niall had done.
Just as they were about to get into bed, Niall braved breaking the silence. He knew from experience by now that keeping these issues locked in would only make them worse, so it was best to have the conversation, now that they were alone together.
As Niall had feared but expected, Emma was quite upset about what had happened. He could see the feeling of betrayal in her eyes, and it broke his heart to see the love of his life like that. He knew that his struggles were something he had to work through, but he never minded just ignoring them as long as they only hurt himself. But now, that he had started dragging the people closest to him into it, he saw how it hurt them, too, and it was almost like a last wakeup call.
He did not want his son to grow up with any of the same feelings of guilt that he had. Louis had always been a confident child, and there was no need to take that away from him, just because Niall could not figure out his own feelings sometimes. It was times like these that he was thankful to have a wife as kind-hearted and accepting as Emma was. She was a great mother, too, much more of a great parent than he was, too, he had to admit. With her there, Louis was sure to grow up keeping that positive attitude he always had.
[TRANSCRIPT]
Niall: "Perhaps we should talk about... everything?"
Emma: "Like how you've started drinking again? Just when we have a full house of children to care for?"
Niall: "Yes, I know I never should have done that. And the kiss was even worse!"
Emma: "I must admit... I felt quite hurt when you told me about that."
Niall: "I would be, too. There's no excuse for it at all. I was so stupid and... confused."
Emma: "About what?"
Niall: "Even though I know you don't mind, I still struggle to accept this part of myself. The part that's attracted to men, I mean."
Emma: "And you kissed Franklin... because of that?"
Niall: "No, well, not exactly. It's just that, when Louis talked about dancing with a boy, it's like it... triggered something in me. It somehow made me feel it could be my fault if he's, you know... like me."
Emma: "Would it be so bad if he was?"
Niall: "I- I don't know. I just don't want him to go through the same struggles I did."
Emma: "Then, shouldn't we raise him to be able to accept himself, no matter what?"
Niall: "I mean... of course!"
Emma: "Why repeat the same cycle, when we can do better?"
Niall: "I hope you're right."

chapter warnings: Jake being Jake, discussion of child abuse and domestic abuse
Series Masterlist (Mobile Masterlist)
A/N: my tag lists are only tagging the first few people and I think this is happening to everyone so...ugh if you aren't tagged, that's why
Tumblr media
Jake adjusted the collar of his flight suit as he walked across base to meet his new squadron. After the success of Bradley’s mission, the higher ups decided that more people did need to learn how to pilot, even with the presence of drones. Which is how he, Nat, and Bradley got assigned their own little gaggle of greenies.
Good. Fresh meat. Something to get his mind off of things.
He ran his hand over his hair to ensure it was smoothed down by gel. Who would have thought that he’d get his own team? His own office? His-
“Fucking shit, Rooster,” he exclaimed as the taller man yanked him into one of the rooms that lined the hallway. The brunet slammed the door shut and turned to look at him, his dark eyes flashing with that storm Jake had seen time and time again.
“Can you pick literally any other day to yell at me?” Jake snapped.
“No. Shut the fuck up and listen. She hasn’t been sleeping, Jake. She blames herself. She thinks that you left because you hate her.” Bradley’s hands curled around the lapels of his jacket and dragged him closer. Jake swallowed against the sudden dryness in his throat at his words but pushed away from Rooster and let out a scoff.
“Give it time. She’ll forget me soon enough and you two can go have your happy little nuclear family.” He ignored the look of hurt that flashed across Bradley’s face and instead focused on the wall in front of him. You weren’t the only one struggling with sleep and an exhaustion that was more than just physical seemed to weigh him down these days.
“Did you know her mom would walk out on her? Threaten to leave if she wasn’t a good enough kid and then walk out and be gone for days at a time?” Bradley said quietly. “That’s why she’s so scared of people leaving her. And you just walked right out. You did the thing you promised her you wouldn’t do.”
An ache spread across his chest but he pushed it aside in favor of shrugging, letting a blase expression settle across his face. Bradley’s brows twisted in frustration and then he pushed out a deep breath from his lungs and let his hands fall from his hips.
“Frankie’s death wasn’t your fault,” the brunet said quietly.
And there you have it, Bradshaw. He hit the one spot that Jake guarded the most harshly. He moved to storm out of the room, but Bradley grabbed his arm. The warmth of his calloused palm bled through the fabric of his uniform and Jake shuddered at the touch.
“Jake. It wasn’t your fault. It’s easy to blame yourself for things like that, but no one can anticipate an engine failure like that. I’m sorry for making you feel like you had anything to do with it.”
The ever noble Bradley Bradshaw. Jake grit his teeth and yanked his arm out of his hold. He needed to get a grasp on his mind right now. Everyone knew you couldn’t go up into a plane with a troubled mind. He needed to stay focused. He needed-
He missed you. He missed Bradley. He missed-
No.
“Fuck you, Bradshaw,” he said quietly and then stalked out of the room.
He was still keyed up when he left work and the last thing he wanted to do was come back to his mom’s place with energy thrumming through his veins and end up displacing it on Jennifer. Jake sent her a quick text and then parked at the beach, laced up his sneakers, and went for a run. The steady rhythm and cadence of his gait soothed some part of his mind. He ran along the boardwalks and sidewalks until his lungs ached, which was a feat for someone who kept in peak physical shape.
His steps slowed as he approached the one spot on the beach that housed the Hard Deck. Someone was sitting out on the picnic tables and he knew in his heart it was you. He came a bit closer just so he could see that you were okay. A voice called for you from inside the bar and you stood, casting one last glance at the ocean, and then turned to head in. The setting sun over the ocean highlighted the curve of your body and he felt his breath catch as your hand smoothed the dark fabric of your shirt over the slight bump that you sported.
Jake stayed until he was sure you were back inside and then he turned and made his way back to his truck. The drive was silent and he didn’t make an attempt to turn on the radio. He needed this. He needed the emptiness.
Jennifer’s AirBnB was a classic beach house that oozed the classic San Diego beach vibe. The stairs groaned and creaked as he climbed them, warped from the sea salt that infused itself into the wood. He stopped at the door, his hand resting on the small plastic bag that hung from aged knob, and found that he couldn’t open it. If he opened this door, he would face his mother and he would have to keep his mind on right and he couldn’t promise her that right now. He couldn’t be the son she needed. The son she deserved.
“Jake?” her warm voice called from inside. “I made pesto pasta for dinner. I met a really nice lady at the grocery store who recommended this… Jake?”
Tears dripped down his cheeks as he opened the bag and pulled out a tiny little onesie that had a Texas longhorn logo emblazoned across it. A small slip of paper fluttered to the ground and he grabbed it, flipping it over to see your scrawled handwriting across the lines. He could barely read through the gathering tears.
We find out the gender in four days. 2pm.
I want you there.
Please.
“Jake?” Jennifer opened the door and cast her eyes down to look at the tiny scrap of fabric clutched in his hands. Holy shit, is this how small the baby would be? He tried to imagine cradling something so light and fragile.
“Oh honey,” his mom whispered. An ugly sob tore past his lips and he tried to rein it in, but she cupped the back of his head and pulled him into a hug, cradling his huge body against hers. He crumpled into his mom like he was nine again and Jennifer easily took on his weight. They stumbled into the house and she shut the door behind them before letting him slump down on the couch.
“I don’t want to end up like him,” he sobbed. “I can’t do that to them, mom. I c.. I can’t.”
“What are you talking about Jake?” Worry coated her voice and he knew he must sound unhinged right now. He ran a hand over his face and tried to gather the words together to express what he was trying to say.
“What if I end up like dad? You said he was fine until after you got married. What if I trap them in a relationship with me and then I fucking ruin them?”
Her eyes widened and she grabbed his shoulders so she could force him to face her. “What the hell are you talking about?”
“I should have gotten you and Liz out sooner. I should have done more to save Frankie. I should have…I should have never kissed them, mom. Because all I’ve done is hurt them both.”
Jennifer pulled him closer and he curled into her side. His mom kissed his head and sighed. Her kind, selfless Jacob. Her brave boy.
“It’s not your fault,” she murmured. “It was never your fault. You deserve to be loved, Jake, and they…they love you. And I know that can be scary, but you are not your father. You are the opposite of Daniel. I should have never put you in that position to feel like you had to save us.”
She smoothed down the ruffled blond strands of hair that stuck up in every direction. “You were a child, Jake. You were a child and it was my duty to protect you and I failed. And now I try to compensate for it, but I’m telling you that it will only hurt worse if you keep pulling away from them.”
Did you know her mom would walk out on her? You did the thing you promised her you wouldn’t do. Don’t you worry, baby. Roo and I would never let anything happen to you two.
The words rattled through his head like dice clacking against a table. He looked at the paper in his hands once more and read over the words again.
“The baby isn’t mine,” he whispered.
“Do they care about that?”
“They say they don’t.”
“Do you care about that?”
He smoothed out the little onesie in his hands and pictured a baby wearing it once more. A baby cradled in his arms. Something so small and fragile would be safe in his arms. And his angel… he could see you now with that wicked grin and bright eyes as Bradley kissed you and then the baby and then…and then him.
“I’ll ruin them.”
“No, Jake. You’ll have arguments and fights and say things you shouldn’t, but that’s just what being a relationship is like. You could never hurt someone the way Daniel hurt us. I don’t think you’re even capable of doing that.”
“I left her. I left them. I-”
“And now you have a chance to make it up to them and apologize. They want you in their lives, Jake. It’s up to you now.” Jennifer smiled against his hair and squeezed his shoulders. “When I first got the call that you were dating two people and got a girl pregnant, I thought you were going off the deep end. But I’ve met them and seen the way they look at you. Jake, there’s just so much of you to love that it took two people. And oh my god, I finally have a grandkid! Liz is going to spoil this kid rotten.”
“You don’t care?”
Jennifer tugged his ear and he frowned which reminded her so much of when he was nine and pouted all the time, dragging his feet and complaining about having to go to school before football practice.
“Your father never looked at me the way the three of you look at each other,” she assured him. “All I’ve ever wanted was for you and Liz to be happy.”
Four days. He had four days to attempt to get his shit together. And it would start with a call to Sofia Trace.

Rise
Tumblr media
Pair: Mother!Riri x Mother!Reader
Contains: Breastfeeding, fluff, sleep deprivation, light smut.
Prologue: Just another day with your lovely wife and new-born.
Word count: 1.5k
A/N: This fic is a part two for "Gluttony"
1:23am
You were sleeping peacefully, cuddled with your wife, until it was interrupted by your newborn's cries. After detaching yourself from Riri's embrace and removing the covers from your body, you sit up and take a good breather. You counted to three, then forced yourself to stand; it felt like you were carrying mountains on your back. Your abdomen felt as if a professional boxer was using your stomach as a punching bag.
But, despite that, you still walked towards your baby girl’s crib and lifted your child into your arms. You changed her diaper, walked back towards the bed, laid back down, and pulled one of your breasts out for her to feed on, then went back to sleep.
3:37am
“Ma,” Ri said, nudging your shoulder. "When did she wake up?” She stood over you, reaching for her. You turned your head to the clock on the nearby nightstand.
“About three hours ago, around one-thirty.” Your voice cracked. “Don’t forget to burp her once you’re done.” You cautioned, ignoring the damp feeling from your nightgown's milk stains.
“Ight, you need anything?” She asked as she went to get a new diaper.
“Mm mm,” You replied, snuggling yourself into the bed.
You two have adapted to this routine, taking turns handling the baby through the night. Though Riri makes it clear she wants to take most of the responsibility, she knows how hard it was for you to carry her so she does whatever she can to make taking care of her easier.
5:58am
“Bae wake up, Mey is hungry,” Riri said nudging your shoulder.
Usually, you wouldn’t make her get up and feed the baby a bottle since she’d have to walk all the way to the basement where you store your freezer stash of breastmilk then heat up the milk in a pot of hot water. The way the covers embraced you in a perfect warmth made it difficult for you to find the motivation to breastfeed. So, this time you made an exception.
“I’m too tired, can you please go make a bottle for her? Our baby girl still doesn’t know how to latch right and it hurts sometimes.” You begged, giving her the most doe puppy eyes you could.
A few seconds passed as she only stared at you, pondering whether or not she felt like doing it. After concluding, Ri lifted herself from the bed to get the baby.
“I might as well start my day early, ima cook us breakfast after a good shower. Wanna join?” She asked, standing at the door. You responded with a simple nod, and a satisfied smile decorated your features. She kissed the palm of her hand and blew it in your direction, you played along and caught it with your hand then placed it to your heart.
After what felt like seconds, you heard the shower running in the bathroom and were awakened by Riri pushing your shoulder softly.
"I put Meylah back to sleep, you still wanna shower?" She asked, concerned for your sleepiness.
"Mhm," You hummed. She took your hand and entered the bathroom. You quickly removed your gown and stepped into the shower before Riri.
You've become slightly insecure being bare around her; you've gained a set of stretch marks from the pregnancy in addition to the ones you already had before. She made it a habit to give you extra words of affirmation. Ranting about why she chose you, how you make her feel, how much you changed her. Riri would hate to have you questioning her love for you.
"Let me," She said, taking the net from your hands. While you hydrate your skin with water, she lathers the net with soap and starts bathing you, cautiously spreading the soap around your body. You relaxed and leaned the weight of your head on her shoulder. Her hand held your waist as her other slickly caressed your breasts, then traveled down to your inner thigh, you hissed at the sensitivity. She stepped forward for the water to rinse the suds from your body.
"Turn around mama," She whispered.
"I wanna wash you too," You said, looking over your shoulder before turning to face her.
"Here," She grabbed a separate net from the shelf along the shower wall and handed it to you.
You laid a coat of soap and began rubbing her front, she took the opportunity to start washing your back. Once you finished the front of her body, you let the water run down your back to switch positions with Riri, her front facing the shower head to rinse. After she was clean she turned her body to you once more and put the net she was using back to its previous spot. She pressed herself on you while you finished washing her back.
"I love you," She stared in awe. You leaned in for a kiss, and she held you by the flesh of your ass. What started as an innocent kiss turned passionate. The net met the floor from your hand, your nails driving down her back. You were lost in the lust only for seconds before you remembered that Mey was in the other room.
"The baby-"
"I told you she's sleeping," She said between kisses.
As predicted, you hear Meylah crying from the other side of the door. Your mother instincts were activated, and you rushed out of the shower.
"Babe-"
Your mind wasn't thinking about anything but the baby; you were hyper-fixated. When you got your clothes on, Ri came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel.
"Ma," She said sympathetically.
You bent over the crib shushing her gingerly, taking her in your arms. Ri leaned her shoulder on the nearest wall, still covered in water. You sung a lullaby and swayed side to side, a pair of eyes burned the side of your head.
"rehtom doog a hcus er'uoY."
Because you were so focused on getting Mey to stop crying, you didn't fully comprehend what she said; your eyes squinted as if that would help your brain process her words better.
"Hm?" You murmured, tilting your head.
"You're such a good mother," She chuckled. "Let me put my clothes on, then I'll get started on breakfast mkay?"
"Yeah." You muttered, mostly towards Meylah as you playfully bopped her nose.
8:21 Am
Soul music and laughter vibrated through the walls. Meylah ran around the living room in her bouncer; you chased after her with your arms out.
"Ding, ding, ding!" Ri yelled, setting the table. "Food's done!" she called from the dining room.
"Eat eat?" You motivated Mey to run for you. After picking her up from the bouncer you safely stepped over her toys scattered around the floor.
"Hey baby," Ri greeted with a kiss as she took Meylah to strap her in her high chair. "I'll feed Mey, eat yo' food ma." She said before you could reach for the baby food.
You spent most of your meal giggling at Riri's silly tactics to get Mey to eat her food: the classic Choo-choo train and plane landing. She even ate a little and pretended that it was good. By the time you finished your meal, Ri was only just getting started with hers.
"I'll be back. Ima change her then put her in the playpen," you said, taking Mey from her chair and going to the closet for a fresh diaper.
1:45pm
A children's show played on the TV; you and Riri were more interested in the show than Mey, who was distracted by her toy remote. Your legs lay across the couch, supported by Ri's thighs as her hands lovingly messaged your feet.
"Oh yeah, Ima run to the store later. We ran out of shampoo, and it's wash day for Mey next week." She remembered. "Why that low-key rhyme." Ri laughed.
"Wash day for Mey next week, Wash day for Mey next week!" You snapped your fingers.
"Girl, get in the booth!" She hyped.
"Girl, bye," you rolled your eyes, getting up for the cabinet. Meylah crawled her way to Ri. "I see that Mey is tired, so that means movie and snacks!" you cheered.
8:36pm
You guys have found better comfort in the bedroom after dinner; Meylah fell asleep in your arms.
"Ight, from one to ten, how was my cookin'?" You asked.
"Mehh," She trailed off playfully. "Nah, seriously, I liked it." She smiled.
You don't know how to cook for real, I mean, struggle meals? Who doesn't? But once you pick up a cookbook, you either do what you want or don't understand the instructions.
"Oh ight, Cause you know I was finna cook yo ass, huh?" You teased.
"Uh, girl," Ri paused, raising her finger. "Bye," She said, pointing at you.
10:11pm
The lights were out, Meylah was in her crib, and Ri held you in her usual cuddle. The bed was extra comfy tonight, which made you realize the routine.
"You know she gon' wake up in three hours, right?"
"Shh-"
"I told you not to let her sleep so early."
"Shhhh," She shushed again. "Just enjoy the time we got now, mama."
"Mhm." You hummed sarcastically. "Good night, baby." You kissed her forehead.
A/N: So.. Should I say I’m back for good or is it too early? 😅

✰ chapter five. this is who you’ve become, a monster
Tumblr media
The odd thing about slowly spiraling into the realization that you're losing your soul— is the pure reminder that you still have one.
It was unsettling. Confusing. Completely frustrating to even accept that such thing would occur.
Hadn't I gone through enough? Moon wondered.
She had suffered through enough for someone's lifetime— why was it that life kept throwing obstacles her way. Testing time and time again if she was worthy of living in this world.
She knew she'd only grow worse as the days passed on, and that should've been a thought that terrified her— but somewhere within her, she felt she deserved the pain.
"I can't help but wonder it is you're thinking about Miss Dair. Nerves?" Geto had asked from her right.
She sent him a weak smile, one that seemed believable enough.
"Not exactly. I've just been thinking about the future, where I'll be in a couple years. Months. Days." She listed off, staying true to her word and trying to be more honest with her friends.
Odd, it still felt weird to call them friends. Of course that's exactly what they were to her— but she still had an instinct to push them away. Keeping them strictly classmates.
"I can see why that would keep you so distracted. It's kinda scary to think about, hm?" Geto admitted to his own fears and anxieties.
"Not me. I know exactly where I'll be and who I'll be in the future." Gojo stated confidently.
You rolled your eyes, while Geto almost did the same, instead asking him.
"Oh yeah, and what's that?"
Gojo lowered his glasses to the edge of his nose, meeting eyes with both Moon and Geto.
"I'll be with you guys, of course. Oh— and obviously I'll still be the strongest."
Geto and Moon looked at each other, soft smiles showing for a moment before the two broke into little giggles.
The trio walked in a comfortable silence for a little while longer, until Gojo suddenly shoved some bills in her hand.
Moon looked at him in question.
“I just remembered there’s a sweet treat shop around here, was wondering if you could go get me something?”
Moon couldn’t help the smile on her lips. Leave it to Gojo to have the biggest sweet tooth of anyone ever.
She also just couldn’t say no.
“Fine. What do you want?”
“Hmm… surprise me.”
Moon nodded, breaking off from the two and making her way towards the sweet shop— one she knew of already. Besides, her and Gojo had been to this sweet shop many times— years ago.
Moon picked out a few things, making sure to use up all the money he’d given her. Being sure to fill up the bag with lots of sweets— given that this mission might be a longer one than usual.
She thanked the employee, making her way outside. Before she could start heading back towards her friends, she bumped into someone’s shoulder— causing her to drop the bag of sweets— luckily nothing spilling.
She was apologizing before thinking.
“My apologies, I wasn’t looking where I was going.”
She didn’t even look up to the person, bending down to grab the bag. That was, until the person had grabbed the bag for her. She wasn’t at all interested in this person, that was until she saw the strong, veiny hand grab the tan colored bag.
It hadn’t clicked as weird that the person still didn’t say anything, instead standing upright— waiting for her to as well.
Moon straightened back up, her eyes finally meeting with the stranger. With a gasp, she realized that this wasn’t a stranger at all— in fact, it was a little more haunting than that.
“T-toji?”
Toji stood tall, physique blanketed in a black sweater, a smirk on his lips as he gazed down at her.
“Long time no see darling.”
Moon shuttered, as she hadn’t heard his voice in so long. Although as years had passed since the last time she saw him— his voice was so much deeper and rougher. His hair was longer, still looking as unkept as it had been. She wondered for a moment if this even was him— but the scar on the corner of his mouth was all the proof she needed.
“You… you aren’t real…” She whispered to herself, thinking this was just a hallucination.
Toji was dead. That’s what the Zenin’s told you. He was dead. He had to be dead.
“Sorry to disappoint you, but I’m very much real.”
Moon had to control the familiar burn starting within her nose, the threat of tears from his words.
‘Sorry to disappoint you’ He had said.
Moon wanted to scream at him that it was quite the opposite. To think she ever wanted Toji dead, the mere possibility making her sick to her stomach. When the Zenin’s had informed her of Toji’s death, she was devastated. Crippled from the information. He was the one thing that was keeping her together while she was stuck there. He couldn’t possibly think that she thought any other way.
Although standing in front of him now, where had he gone? Did he escape? How was he hidden from her all those last years, where she suffered with the Zenin’s alone?
“I don’t understand…”
“No, you wouldn’t really. It’s a long story I suppose, but I don’t really care to tell you about it.” He was cold.
Moon wasn’t shy of this kind of behavior from him, but he was colder than he’d ever presented himself as.
“Besides, I’m here on business sweets. I don’t have time for a reunion.” He muttered, “You’re looking good though, see you have been doing well. Living that sorcerer life, huh?”
His words seemed kind, but it was everything but that. They were back handed, clearly noting how the years hadn’t been kind to her.
Moon didn’t know what to say. She was closer to crying than she’d been in a long time. She felt her mask slipping through her fingers.
Toji tilted his head in amusement at her stunned expression.
“You this surprised to see me?”
She kept staring at him like she was looking at a ghost, unable to accept he was really standing here.
“I thought you were dead.” She whispered finally.
Toji just stared at her, eyes narrowing in on her face— almost studying every one of her micro expressions.
“You thought wrong.”
Her hand twitched at her side, desperate to touch him— feel that he was really there. But he seemed so, different, so much more harsh than she remembered. She didn’t think he’d appreciate her touch.
She swallowed, choosing the change the subject— even though she wanted to sit down and talk with him, going over every moment they missed since they last saw each other.
“You said you were here for business… what do you mean by that?”
He tilted his head, an amused expression on his face.
“Curious, aren’t we?” He commented, “I don’t think that’s important for you to know.”
It was her turn to squint her eyes, studying him now. He was being so vague and mysterious— why?
“I need to get going now.” He announced, handing her the bag of sweets.
She took it hesitantly, her eyes glued on his smug look. He just looked like he knew something she didn’t.
She didn’t know why she was all of a sudden getting a horrible out in her stomach from his presence— especially after he used to be such a light in her life. Years ago that was, but still.
She nodded in thanks before turning quickly to head back to her friends, not even giving him a goodbye. She was quickly halted in her escape, Toji’s hand grabbing onto her arm harshly.
“Hey,” She glanced back at him, “Let’s meet up later, yeah?”
She could only stare back at him, his touch on her arm making her go back into a stunned silence— confirming that he was indeed real. Her Toji was standing right in front of her. Her heart was beating quickly in her chest as she glanced down to his hand wrapped around her arm.
She swallowed before nodding, unable to speak from her small state of shock.
At that, he released her arm, stepping back with his eyes still on her— before he turned and walked away. Disappearing into the crowd of people walking across the street.
She didn’t watch his figure for too long, turning and quickly making her way back to Gojo and Geto, desperately trying to calm her racing heart.
The stares from people she passed went unnoticed, the confused glances sent her way as people saw her panicked state— her pace almost matching a sprint.
Moon couldn’t accept who she saw. She had to, but her mind was at war. Everything she believed— crumbling before her eyes. The lies, the stories— how much of what the Zenin’s told her was true?
She wanted to feel relieved from seeing Toji alive, but instead she felt sick. She felt messed with, her mind a game board for the Zenin’s to fiddle with. She hadn’t prepared herself to be forced back into the mindset— the mindset when she had heard Toji was dead.
It was the blurry memory of the years that passed after that, the horrid nights. The sweaty men visiting her at the late hours— the violation of it all. It came crashing into her, as she didn’t have any walls up. Nothing strong enough to keep the past from haunting her yet again.
Without Toji to cling to, it was hell— and to think he was alive the whole time made her sick. Had he hid away from her? Had he escaped without her? Why wasn’t he there?
Why wasn’t he there? Why wasn’t he there?? Why wasn’t he there???
She flinched backwards, her face colliding with a sturdy chest. If she was in her right mind, she would’ve smelled the familiar scent.
“Woah Nines! Where are you in a rush to?” The white haired sorcerer joked.
Moon went frozen in his hold, his hands on the sides of her arm to hold her upright— they felt foreign to her all of a sudden. The memory of the filthy men consuming her.
Gojo noticed her scared expression, his brows furrowing as he leaned down closer to her.
“Nines?” He tried again.
Her eyes shot up to his, her eyes wide and full of fear— her look making Gojo sick to his stomach. Never did he want her to look at him like that.
“Hey hey, you alright?”
Moon’s eyes danced from eye to eye, forcing herself to be familiar with his hypnotic blue orbs.
It was Gojo. It was only Gojo. She forced herself to remember.
Gojo couldn’t stand seeing her like this, his own anxiety bubbling within him.
“Moon, look at me,” He gently grabbed her chin, tilting her head up to level his face, “What happened?”
Her body shivered, the wave of warmth unexpected from his gesture. Her body relaxing slightly at his presence suddenly. Her bottom lip trembled as she fought her hardest to keep the tears from exposing themselves.
Gojo watched while he held his breath, patient as ever as he waited for a response. Although he never got one, instead she crashed herself against him. Burying herself into his embrace so desperately. Almost as if she was trying to hide from the world.
“Hey, Moon… it’s okay. I’ve got you… shhh.” He cooed, one of his hands cradling the back of her head while the other pressed tightly to the small of her back. “You’re okay. You’re okay… I’ve got you now.”
As much as she wished to slap herself out of this pathetic state, she only clung to his jacket with desperation. Her face buried into his chest, her tears drenching the fabric.
Gojo was confused— unsure of what brought on this reaction from her. However, he didn’t need an explanation right away. If it was comfort she so needed, he’d provide her with just that. If only she knew of how far Gojo would willingly go for her. He’d do anything she so asked.
The amount of power she held over him was terrifying— but he let her.
The only indication he got proving that she was crying, was the small jumps her body did every so often. Her sobs silenced by his chest, and by herself trying so hard to stay quiet. His heart throbbed within him, he himself hurting for her.
What came with the empathy, also came the rage. The primal desire to hunt and destroy whatever had caused you such pain. He was protective when you were in such a state, especially when you clung to him like this. He felt like he could destroy the whole world in the blink of an eye if it were the cause of your pain. He’d do it in a heartbeat.
As he thought before, you had so much power over him. It chilled him to his core.
Moon activated her cloaking technique, the ability bleeding onto him— and soon they were both hidden from the world.
Gojo felt the surprisingly pleasant buzzing sensation from Moon’s technique being used. Cloaking was quite useful in battles against enemies who didn’t know how to counter it— all the more useful when Moon could make others invisible as well.
Although he didn’t dwell on the pleasant buzz for long, instead curious as to what brought out this fear within her. This deep fear that made her want to hide.
“Moon, you gotta tell me what’s going on? You’re kinda scaring me.” He whispered, petting her hair down in the back of her head.
Moon pulled back, avoiding his concerned eyes as she pulled him gently to an empty alley. Gojo allowed her to lead him.
Only then when they were hidden away from prying eyes did she release her cloaking, the familiar ache in her head from use.
Gojo’s brows were drawn in, his expression soft as he stayed patient but it was clear he was eager to know what the cause of her distress was.
Moon sucked in a shaky breath, her hands trembling at her sides, her fingers fiddling with the ends of her uniform.
“I haven’t been completely transparent about my past.” Her voice was shaky, strained with fear. “For that, I’m sorry.”
Gojo was quick with the shake of his head, taking a step forward towards her.
“Moon, don’t you dare apologize.”
“It’s only fair you know. All my weird behavior. The stuff I…” She trailed off, her thoughts wandering back to their conversation days ago, “The things I hinted at… you deserve to know everything.”
Gojo held a pained look, not liking her need to reveal her past. Not that he’d mind. He’d be willing to hear her out whenever and by the ear she needed— but he couldn’t help but feel like she was forcing herself to bring up her past when she didn’t want to.
“You don’t have to tell me anything. Only if you want to.” He told her, holding her gaze with intensity.
Suddenly he wanted her back in his arms. His body felt colder without her touch.
“I want to.” Her voice was calm, her eyes holding his so deeply it had Gojo stirring up old feelings he tried to bury down.
He swallowed through a tight throat, nodding to her as his only response.
She walked closer to him, causing Gojo’s hands to twitch at his sides. He wanted to hold her, needed to.
“You know I come from the Zenin Clan. Not blood but, that was my home for a while.” She told him, her voice barely a whisper. Like she was afraid of someone hearing.
Gojo nodded, listening with unease.
“I met someone there when I was young. They brought me comfort and we quickly became friends. He was one of the reasons I held on for so long– kept me sane.” Her lips couldn't help but quirk up from the memory of her and Toji so small.
Meanwhile, Gojo’s eyes narrowed. He?
“He?” He hadn’t meant to voice his thoughts, but he was curious jealous.
Moon glanced up and read his expression.
“His name was Toji.” The name felt bitter off of her lips, which saddened her. It hadn’t ever been like that– felt like that.
“He was a Zenin?”
“Born into the clan, yes.” She answered before chewing her lip.
Gojo knew she hadn’t made her point yet, the storytelling only building up to something he probably wasn’t prepared for.
“I saw him today.” She mumbled, Gojo barely catching it.
His brows furrowed and he wondered.
“Was that why you were upset?”
Moon nodded, the memories of the reunion only moments ago flashing in her mind.
“Did he hurt you?” His voice was colder, more detached as he became protective– possessive.
Moon closed the distance and grabbed onto his arms, forcing him to gaze into her eyes.
“No, not physically at least.” Her words hadn’t comforted him like he hoped. “He was just… different from the last time I saw him. Just shocked me.”
His eyes softened at her vulnerability, her willingness to be so open and honest. All because she wanted to. It warmed his heart as much as it pained him to know about her past.
“I know it’s stupid to be upset about that but… he is the only good thing I cling to when it comes to my past.” She rushed out, while Gojo was now leaning down and looking into her eyes.
“You need to stop apologizing. It’s okay to be upset. You’ve been through a lot.” He reassured her, rubbing his hands up and down her arms, her body relaxing from the sensation.
She nodded and crushed herself to his chest, her arms looping around his lower back. She could feel his one second of surprise before he was caging himself around her. Finally, his body felt warm again.
“Thank you.” She breathed.
“Don’t.” He mumbled into her hair, the memory of younger Toji’s voice echoing just as Gojo had said.
With what she thought would bring unpleasant emotions, the moment only brought her comfort. A healing of her younger self. She didn’t think it was possible, but by his side it felt like it.
