You narrow your eyes at a peculiar potion he just mentioned. Yet the situation at hand is more important than the question as to why he has the most powerful love potion in existence. You digress.

Of course, it’s not hard to catch onto how Daniel is a potions prodigy. It’s particularly impossible to miss it. Given how much time he spends in the Potions Classroom brewing maybe nearly every potion in existence. Sometimes, you tend to question how he doesn’t get exhausted from the hours he spends in front of the cauldron. But you suppose it’s just a passion of his that differs from everyone else’s.

Like how Lottie, herself, can spend hours painting anything that comes to mind. A wave of creativity just happening to hit her at some random time, like how the light shines oh-so perfectly down into the classroom windows, or when she realizes how fascinating the flames look when she casts the confringo spell.

But there are times she exhausts herself too, like times she’s mentally drained from an art block she’s been desperately trying to escape.

You’re not sure if you’ve ever seen Daniel tired of creating potions. It’s quite impressive—no, farther than that, that you sometimes find yourself admiring how well he can work his way around the cauldron with little to no errors.

And because of how well he ferments potions and how much time he spends on doing so, it’s no surprise to find that he has quite the collection of distinctive potions. However, he always either gives them away, displays them on the Potions Classroom shelf, or keeps them somewhere in his dorm.

So why did he so casually carry Amortentia, of all potions, in his pocket?

Of course it isn’t as bad as the Death potion, but your point still stands!

After that day you couldn’t help but let your mind wander on the possibilities on why in the world he would have such a powerful potion easily-accessed. After all, he doesn’t seem like the type to use it on someone. Actually, does he even have a ‘someone’ to use it on, nevertheless?

Maybe it’s not your place to ask. But as time goes by, you can’t look at Daniel without being reminded that he literally has the most formidable love potion known to man in his pocket.

“...W-What are you looking at?” He asks you, aware of your unwavering, however thoughtful gaze.

“Daniel,” you lean towards him, taking note of the crimson hue spreading his cheeks, “Is there any reason for you to be carrying the Amortentia potion right now...?”

Daniel visibly panics. He stammers out an incoherent response that’s cut off by Professor Flitwick.

“Please pay close attention to the instructions. Today we will be learning a disarming charm known as Expelliarmus.”

The two of you gently shuffle back to place, turning your attention to the man standing atop a very thick book. You suppose he can answer you later.

Daniel scampers to collect his belongings the very second Professor Flitwick dismisses class, unbeknownst to you. He scoots towards the very edge of the table and races out the door, stumbling into the hallway for an escape as if he had just seen a dementor.

Very quickly, he scans his surroundings, paying no mind to his classmates who barely glance at him as they walk by. He decides to draw himself a little farther from the doorway and towards the stairways of the Defense Against Dark Arts classroom, where he presses his side against the wall.

Unluckily for him, you just so happened to be reaching to grab his hand right now, making him feverishly twirl around to face you.

“Daniel, I’ll keep it a secret, I promise !” you whisper-shout, bouncing a little in place.

“It’s nothing—” He backs away from you in an attempt to escape your clutches, but you only step forward.

“Then why run? Why are you sweating so much?” You furrow your eyebrows, clearly concerned for your friend who is, yes, sweating bullets now.

“It’s just—”

“Pleeease tell me, Daniel.”

“I—”

“Pleeease.” Now both of your hands are grabbing his. You muster up the best pair of puppy eyes you can do at the moment, and lean yourself towards him trying to get him to just tell you.

Daniel’s face, which is inches away from yours at this point, is basically red.

“It’s— I— For—..” Why is your face still leaning in?! Why are you so close?! Haven’t you heard of personal space? (He kind of doesn’t want you to back away.) He shuts his eyes.

Before he could process it, his mouth moves on his own, blurting out the reason of which was not on your list of possibilities at all.

It was like a survival instinct.

“It smells nice...! It smells like you—your-robe-that-you-lent-to-me-last-week.”

Daniel wishes the floor would swallow him up.

He barely opens his eyes when you slowly let go of his hands and back away, and he only snaps them open when he hears a familiar hysteric laughter from above and behind him.

He slowly turns around, as if he hadn't already known who it is.

“You cannot be serious!” Robyn wipes a comical tear from her eye as she dramatically leans over a stone wall, “Ahhh, you’re daft, Page!”

Daniel doesn’t bother to say anything as he somberly stares at her above the staircase. His arms falling limp and his entire body stiff.

“I can’t believe I witnessed this at such a perfect timing...!” She drunkenly makes her way down, clapping her hands slowly in such passionate amusement despite the silence between you and him. “I can’t—” She pitilessly snickers at Daniel.

She gracefully turns to the opposite side of where you two came from and slowly disappears into the halls, her voice fading out in the distance—“I can’t wait to tell everyone else about this!”

Daniel stares as her figure slowly shrinks in his vision, as if he were trying to make her explode with his mind despite the distracting and repetitive sounds of her claps and cackling.

However, he’s taken aback when he feels a familiar piece of clothing gently wrap around his shoulder. He looks over, noticing that you’re no longer wearing your robe.

“I’ll gladly keep lending you my robe if you want me to...”

overall, amazing production. i loved the musical elements. definitely my favorite ophelia and polonius i’ve seen, possibly my favorite laertes and claudius as well. the hamlet/horatio relationship wasn’t quite as prominent as i would’ve liked it to be, but it was still really great, and i enjoyed analyzing all the little moments they did have.

I have to say that I used to be of the same opinion, even because when we first got together he was a BABYYYYY (we were 16 jk) and he had no beard, no hair chest, no nothing lol. But as we grew up he obviously grow into his features and if at first I was not really intrigued by it, I have to say that it does looks so nice on him (I will never admit it tho, cause I complained about it at first). Also, even if he would shave it completely, I don’t think he would be able to reach again that level of smoothness again lol. He is quite hairy in general, so it is what is, but I don’t complain, since now I definitely prefer the beard.

He is smart in an “academia term”, like, again, when it comes to learning, understanding complex concepts he is the best at it. but when it comes to the most simple stuff he becomes silly😭😭

he is so slow when he has to do certain tasks, like cooking, choosing clothes,… Or like one time, he studied computer engineering for a year before switching major btw, so he knows it all about computer, programming, software, whatever, but I discovered that he had no idea that you could select multiple pictures when deleting them in your camera roll. LIKE I KNOW IS NOT THAT SERIOUS, but it was so silly. bro could program a tracker from scratch in 30 minutes and it would take him more for deleting 50 pictures.

he is like very passionate about me. I’m his favourite person or thing to do in general and it’s not my impression, he tells me. when you ask him “what do you want to do?” he will always say “stay with you”.

I was lucky that I got introduced to him through a friend (@/indac0) and after a month we got together. I love the idea of growing with, many people, even adults (ew) told me that I should go out and “experience” instead of staying in my very healthy relationship. But I would rather have grown with someone kind and learned what love is, than trying situationships that I know what would take me to anything. And I believe that this road it’s actually the only one that makes you understand what you like and the only one that won’t make your time feel wasted, because you already know that you are going nowhere with flings and that you will have lost time anywhere. i just wanted to say how much fun it’s been binge-reading this series. you put so much thought into the reader and gojo’s character, and i think it really makes them feel like real people. every few minutes i have to rant to myself about their actions bc i’m so passionate about them lol.

i love that you made their vulnerabilities feel real too. a lot of times characters like gojo who are heavily flawed tend to lack understanding from the audience because we can’t fathom why we should feel sympathy for a character like him, but the way you wrote his backstory made total sense as to why he is the way he is (like no joke right after chapter 6 i was like “this man needs to be humbled i can’t stand him” and then 2 seconds later i read his backstory in the next chapter and go “oh,,, shit,,,,”).

the digimon convo made me laugh LOL IT WAS SO CUTE. idk why but seeing guys be obsessed with a show or movie they loved since childhood is so precious to me 🥹

you seem to totally prefer sims 3 everytime someone asks, though you still play sims 4 and somehow trough your posts you seem so passionate about it just as the sims 3 or sometimes even more

wanted to hear about your opinione and though on how you relate to both of the games since you're one of the simblr i like the most and i feel like make the most out of sims in general 🫶

Well personally, I like to make the most of any game I play these days, with how much they cost. 😭

Though with The Sims, obviously I’ve got my preferences, but a lot of why The Sims 4 still pulls me in comes down simply to how it’s still getting new content, constantly, EA is doing this on purpose to keep up engagement, and I hate to say it totally works!

I’m also emotionally attached to my sims in it, which I’m sure a lot of others can relate to, and not with just The Sims, but a lot of other games as well.

The community is also just much more lively and bustling, since The Sims 4 somehow still hasn’t been retired after all these years, there’s more people to interact with and new people coming in, so admittedly that motivates me to keep opening it, bc gaming is a social hobby to me, perhaps it’s a peer pressure thing.

Now these reasons still don’t excuse the fact that I’m constantly struggling to enjoy my time in it more than I’d like, especially with immersion which I’ve realized over the years really makes or breaks a gaming experience for me, even though my expectation for it isn’t even that high… a lot of what’s wrong with The Sims 4 goes through the Sims 3 and Sims 2 side of my brain, and knows it isn’t right or could be better, so immediately it bums me out and I retreat to something else.

There’s hardly ever a time I’m not completely immersed in The Sims 3. When I’m playing it I spend a lot less time aggravating over my sims doing things they shouldn’t, and a lot more time actually focusing on goals, skills, and keeping their needs up without struggling to manage time so I can take in the full size and scope of the world around them, it feels very Skyrim to me, very RPG like in how it plays and how it’s paced, perhaps it’s also the open world that helps. So I feel more fulfilled as a player when I’m done, and I actually get excited about going back in next time whenever that’ll be, where as with The Sims 4… idk, it’s just so hands on all the time, everything requires so much work, that I feel like I’m constantly in Buy/Build or CAS, and it’s just so limited in scope. I’ll have an idea of what I want to do in it, and then find out it can’t be done, but then do it in The Sims 3 no problem. Could be that I’ve been playing it longer, and that it’s just everything in it has become habit, I already know it like the back of my hand kinda thing, but I think it’s also bc The Sims 4 just puts too much in one or two things, but not enough in others, which then in turn ruins the fun of the other one or two things ( ie build tools being amazing, but worlds being so tiny and lacking that same level of customization ), so it makes sense that things like rendering in blender has popularized, it opens up the possibilities the game falls shorts of.

The Sims 4 isn’t totally abysmal imo, it has its upsides, and I’d be a hypocrite if I said I was a total hater, bc I don’t hate it, rather, I love it and want it to be better, that’s why I criticize it so much… but perhaps it’s past that point of getting better, but I’m invested so… might as well make lemonade out of lemons? 😆

I want to go on on a little holiday abroad alone for a week but my family and I always go together and I’ve never been on my own. So every time I bring up that I’m planning on going somewhere, they’re like “oh yes let’s do it we’d love to go” and then I end up not booking it.

But yeah. I can’t do that when I feel guilty for telling my family that I want to go on a trip by myself… because my mother’s 61 now and I know that’s not the end of her life but she’s a smoker and she’s been smoking since she was 10… what if it would be the last trip we ever had together? It's okay to ramble sometimes 😭 if you don't feel comfortable telling them you want to go by yourself you can always go by yourself later. Literally the default words that popped up in my head, and if someone asked me in public I’d probably respond with something pretty similar, at least at first. After my brain got past that though, it started thinking about how he manages to both be genuinely cool and also a complete disaster. Or like, how he can manage to be smooth in one instance but get COMPLETELY flustered in another. He’s a man of duality and I love it-

Every once in a while, the show will have, like, the edge(?) of his hair get a lil ruffled so there’s an extra spike or two, and it’s just the CUTEST thing 🥺. I think they mainly did it in season 1, but sometimes it’ll pop out in later seasons too. Example below is from Season 3.

What’s your favorite personality trait of his?: I want to say passion for this one; I could easily say, like, “his dorkiness” or “his shamelessness”, and while those are right in their own… well… right, I think his passion is the root for everything I adore about him. Hell, it’s the root for just… everything about him in general.

His passion for his music and arts, his passion for life, his passion for love and romance and himself. I think people have gotten the misconception that just because he’s faked emotions and happiness before, that suddenly means all of it’s fake, but I don’t think that’s the case. I think plenty of it is genuine for himself, and even if it can come across as cringy or self-absorbed, I just love that sort of happiness for him. It’s eccentric, but it’s so endearing!

Dear Karma,

I am not cheating. Very upfront of me, yes, but I know that cheating is probably the first conclusion you would draw from this abrupt decision of mine to pack up my things and leave. I assure you that there is no one else. I also know that right about now you’re reaching for your phone, ready to call me and ask if this is some sick joke. It’s not. I packed my bags earlier today while you were out with friends, and I’m writing this letter to explain why. It would be a lie to say that my life with you hasn’t been fulfilling until now, and that I’m leaving out of boredom. I know you, remember? You’re the least boring person I’ve met, the most exciting, the most unpredictable. The smartest, the loudest, and the kindest. I know you, but I don’t love you.

I was listening to a few songs a while back, about love and all the juvenile things I wouldn’t do so much as think about in my youth. The most I listened the more I realized that in all our time together I had never felt a connection as strong as the ones described in the lyrics, with you. Then I reached out to some friends, and had them describe the sensations of love to me. Real love. The tingles and warmth they described were as foreign to me as ancient scripts (with lack of a better comparison. Forgive me, I’m running on two hours of sleep and a shot of espresso). One of our mutual friends even described love as a need to protect, a desire. He said that, should an armed man come to do away with his partner, he would sacrifice himself for her. He would choose to die. Rather than live in a world without her, he would choose to die. I thought long and hard about that one, at first I dismissed my reaction to such a thing by saying that I wouldn’t need to protect you, but the longer I thought about it, the more everything seemed to line up. That’s when I sought professional help, someone to help me make sense of my emotions, or rather the lack of. To close off this sad and long sob story, I need to leave. I can’t be confined to this diluted idea of love that we have, and I’m sure you can feel it too. This barren relationship will do neither of us any good. I doubt I’ll be able to find a partner who I feel warm and tingly with, or even anyone as amusing as you, but for the both of us I’ll try. Does this sound selfish of me? - GA
