here's some headcanons i've got;

headcanon number 1 imagine Classy Trio (Ichiji, Robin and Brook) just casually having tea and watching the usual Zoro and Sanji bickering/sparring session

Ichiji: I can't believe that my brother in law will be a ball of sentient moss. But as long as he makes my little brother happy.

and the kicker is that Robin and Brook just agrees (especially Brook, who probably the biggest ZoSan shipper XD). the classy trio is a very sophisticated group, they have teatime with biscuits and discuss various topics

no one understands how it works and no one bothers to. post-timeskip, they're the second strongest fighting group after the Monster Trio. in fact, during Wano Arc, Ichiji joins Robin and Brook to save Sanji from Black Maria (Ichiji is bi and demiromantic, so he's kinda immune to female enemies trying to seduce him. he's already given away his heart for Robin and Franky.)

second headcanon Ichiji reminding certain pirates of Red-Haired Shanks is a running gag. even better when poor Ichiji doesn't even know who the guy is.

the first time Luffy put his hat on Ichiji's head to comfort him (he had a bad mental health day and nearly resorted to self-harm), Luffy went still for a moment or two because he instantly got reminded of Shanks. Ichiji isn't complaining about the hug he got from his captain, but it was nice and a little confusing.

(then later at Loguetown, Buggy nearly flipped his shit because he thought Shanks came back to haunt his ass XD)

it went so far that Ichiji got called "Shanks" by some pirates who has met the guy and poor Ichiji is like "who?"

(once Ichiji gets to meet the actual guy, it's gonna such a spiderman meme)

headcanon 3 Ichiji canonically likes whiskey, but i decided to add rum to his favorite drinks. he drinks sometimes with Zoro, but is unable to outdrink him (he comes third in alcohol tolerance, behind Zoro and Nami). Ichiji likes rum because he believes "a real pirate should like rum"

post-WCI and he turns to alcohol to deal with it. he doesn't gave good trauma responses and it goes far enough to make Chopper worry for his health. enough that Nami threats to throw the rum overboard if he doesn't square up.

this prompts him to nearly fight Nami for the sake of rum

Ichiji: you would dare to challenge me?! Nami: bring it on, bitch boy!

Sanji puts an end to it by locking all alcohol behind five locks in the galley. he's the cook, after all, and the galley is his dominion. Zoro and Ichiji has to wait until dinner to get their sake resp. rum

headcanon four Ichiji is tall and very muscular in canon, but in this au, he's slightly different

he's still taller than Sanji and while he has a little more distinct muscular structure, he's also a little more slender. this is a side effect from starving on the rock with Sanji and Zeff, so it has affected him in his later years. he's not a buff hunk, but he's not a slender twink either (google the english diver Tom Daley, that's sorta his body physique).

Ichiji also have a more androgynous face and dresses himself in a non-binary way. this is the reason why Brook mistook him for a woman at their first meeting, but Ichiji set him straight (lmao) after that. he's aware that gender is fluid and isn't always strictly male or female.

post timeskip and he's more comfortable in who he is. he did a lot of soul-searching for the two years he trained on an unknown canyon island and officially comes out as bisexual, demiromantic and genderqueer. he still uses he/him pronouns since he feels most comfortable with them.

headcanon 5 Ichiji keeps Zeff on the loop of most things and he does it whenever he gets a chance. he has the dial number to the Baratie memorized in his head and he gets his chance whenever he comes across a den-den mushi (for public use, often found in most inns at the islands they dock)

he informs Zeff where they are, what kind of adventures they've had so far, how he and Sanji are doing and asks how things are at the Baratie. he's sorta like a "dutiful son" (he canonically are, but it's very debated if it's because of his modifications)

the relationship between Zeff and Ichiji is portraited in a more mature-ish way. Ichiji is the older son, so he knows and understands more while Sanji is a little more bratty.

the minute there's total radio silence from Ichiji during WCI and there's shady people around the Baratie, that's when Zeff knows something is wrong

headcanon 6 Ichiji has the worst potty mouth. we all know that Sanji is foul-mouthed, but Ichiji is worse.

believe me, when they grew up on the Baratie, Ichiji listened to the cooks around him swearing and cursing up to a storm in the kitchens. everyone thought that he didn't care, compared to Sanji who mimicked them constantly (and got a pegleg on his head). but now, Ichiji was quiet because he was learning and memorizing from his surroundings until he got old enough to swear casually.

Ichiji isn't allowed around Chopper when he's in a bad mood, because his curses are so crude that neither Zoro or Sanji wants the little doctor to learn that.

no, he doesn't care if he's a bad influence. Ichiji has always done whatever he wanted. XD

First of all, I'm so sorry it took me so long to answer this!! as you know I've been fixated on something else and i wanted to be in the right mood to answer this!! I didn't want to be distracted while thinking about Jercy m(._.)m

So! I actually never really thought about headcanons for them, I'll be honest, so this is probably going to be a little all over the place lmao but okay here we go!

I like to think they bring out sides of each other that no one else can; because they're both the heroes, right? They're the ones who usually have to fight to save everyone, who have to protect and be strong and hold their head high always. They're always been a little alone in their responsibility (not bc their friends didn't support them of course, but bc they're always been the one everyone always looked at for saving), until they meet each other.

Their relationship is fundamentally different from what they have with anyone else bc it's a little like they're a mirror of each other. They're both the heroes, and if this means that their relationship starts as rivalry, it turns to mean that they can lean on each other a little more that they allow themselves to lean on others. They understand each other in a way that really no one else can. which means that after they get over their silly rivalry, they let themselves be seen by the other in their weakest moments. bc they both know what it means.

They get extremely protective of each other. of course they're both very protective in general, but it becomes, idk, feral when it's about the other.

I think Percy gets extremely mad when he realizes just how Camp Jupiter treated Jason - starting from the fact that he was forced to basically be a child soldier

Which of course they both find extremely hot. I'm sorry i'm not exactly sure why many of my headcanons are about them being extremely horny for each other lmao that's just how I see them okay? xD

Also I believe that since Jason grew up with Lupa, he has a lot of wolfish traits that he usually suppresses but he lets himself go with Percy, and Percy does the same (they like to bite, okay lmao)

When they're together they always need to touch each other in some way, whether it's holding hands or simply their shoulders or thighs touching

The episode in which he went to the brothel is the latest on his Youtube channel so you can go there and see that it's indeed true and no one is twisting anything he said like it happened with the AA comments. He also said he'll probably come back there later and that Astarion has been acting funny about the whole thing. xD His chat was unbearably horny anyways (just like it always is) so he'll probably do it, unless he forgets about it after Cazador. Well, it's his choice of course but yeah the sex positive crowd will be unbearable "oh look even he did it!!! it's clearly a good choice and important to his healing". Oh and he also accepted Halsin's poly proposal, because why not lmao. Still, even both he and his friend seemed to be a bit put off by the dialogue there when Astarion asks whether or not the fact that he's not putting out is the problem, but of course he chose the "right" option and not the "yeah I'm frustrated that you're not fucking me so I'm going to the big horny druid for sex" one so of course ultimately everything is fine because Astarion is very open minded about it

/sigh So Neil is doing the average "good" horny playthrough? Astarion staying a spawn, Tav doing the 5some, ending with fucking both Astarion and Halsin. I can see it from miles away. He's doing it for the horny audience but still - why was he uncomfortable with people sexualizing Astarion when he's making all the horny choices too? Where would Astarion's confidence in the poly situation come from according to him when Astarion has nothing to offer that Halsin can't offer too without the baggage, why is Halsin the side piece and not him?

I've seen through Larian's marketing and I'm well aware why Astarion is in the game. If it wasn't for the early access Astarion, Gale would probably be my favorite. This all makes me to dissociate from the game and the awful fandom and stick to my headcanons even more. I haven't checked the hell gondola that is Astarion tag in a long while and it'll get even worse.

Paw Patrol Appreciation Week 2024

Monday - The Beginning

Now about Zuma!! As headcanons instead of a mini fanfic this time XD Also 30 minutes late in my own timezone but who cares lmao

-> Zuma was born along with 4 other siblings. They were 3 females and 2 males total. Their mother was owned by a nice middle aged man who had a surfing school by the beach. She used to be always there with him, and so did the puppies. All the students loved their company and played with them.

-> Zuma was always fascinated by the sea and learned to swim and to surf pretty fast. Soon he was a big local sensation, attracting people from everywhere to go see him surfing.

-> Unfortunately, things weren't going so well for the school, and the surfer couldn't keep them all for too long. He didn't want them to suffer or be hungry when he couldn't afford any more dog food, so, as soon as they reached a reasonable age, he put them up for adoption.

-> Several people ignored the other puppies and wanted to adopt specifically Zuma, due to being impressed by his skills and playfulness, but the man rejected all offers so far. He knew Zuma had to go, but he wanted to be sure his good boy would have an actual good new home, with people who knew how to care for him and would be able to help him continue developing his skills, in a place where he could keep doing what he loved the most.

-> One day, during a surf lesson, one of the kids ended up dragged by a stronger sea current and was unable to paddle back to shore. As a matter of coincidence, Ryder was there with his puppies, on a holiday trip. They were still figuring out how to help without being dragged by the current too, when they saw Zuma grabbing his surfboard and jumping in the water.

-> Zuma succesfully brought the kid back to shore, under applauses of the people on the beach. Ryder and his pups were impressed and congratulated Zuma on his rescue. As they were talking to Zuma, Ryder overheard the surf teacher declining yet another offer to adopt the pup, as he asked for pictures of the person's house and saw it didn't even have a backyard and was away from the beach. "You see, Zuma is special. He is a beach pup, he can't live confined to a small house and away from the sea. I'm sorry."

-> Zuma told Ryder about their situation, and why his owner was worried about who would get to adopt him. In turn, Ryder asked Zuma if he would like to go with him and become a member of the Paw Patrol. "We don't have anyone specialized in aquatic rescues yet." Zuma loved the idea and both went to check with his owner. As Ryder explained everything, he also made a deal. "I'll take Zuma with me, but you won't close your surfing school. I'll fund it and we'll make it better so you can keep teaching and keep Zuma's family with you, I know they'll be happy to stay with you."

-> After some talk and negotiations, the deal was made and Zuma moved to go live with Ryder in Adventure Bay. Since then, he goes over to visit and spend a week with his family once every six months.

Hi Hello!!

Annie and her dad huh. To be honest I never really felt much in either like or dislike towards Mr.Leonhardt, instead I always just went 😟😟 when we got Annie's backstory in full. He was a bad father, but then seeing a few takes on why he was a Trash Dad, I thought "Oh yeah that makes sense." I'm fully on board the Trash Dad Camp now.

In that regard, my personal take is that the relationship between Annie and her dad never really "goes" anywhere, post canon. There is too much abuse in her childhood, abuse that he inflicted on her for entirely selfish reasons. He didn't see an orphaned baby but a tool he could sharpen into a blade for himself. Annie's the way she is emotionally because of how he "raised her". So I find it very hard to see them having a very normal & cheerful father and daughter relationship, post canon.

Because he cried and hugged her before she left, Annie was touched (and haha she was touched by the half iota of affection there because he deprived her of any at all lmao) and made it her life mission to reunite with him. But to me, that doesn't seem enough to repair a whole decade of abuse and how he used her. Initial relief and happiness aside (like the hug in Fort Salta), I don't see them being chummy. Her father knows nothing about her. What Annie likes or dislikes, food wise, people wise, anything wise. She made her first friends in the 104th, she trashed her mission for a boy, she went back to the battle for the alliance members she obviously cared for - this is Annie. This is the real Annie, not what her father knew in those 10 years when she likely didn't know herself either.

So, honestly and if anything, their relationship post canon is functional. Functional in the respect that they talk, they share meals, they spend some time together, but it never progresses beyond that. It doesn't heal. It isn't repaired. They don't get close. Instead it's something that exists, with some stability - and I think Annie needs that stability.

(anything more on that and I'll spoil VBEOW, sorry xD)

As for the headcanons you asked... For me they all work off the above perspective I have. Mr. Leonhardt being a good grandfather? I honestly like to think he wouldn't know the first thing about being a good parent, let alone a grandfather. Simply being remorseful of your past actions doesn't transform you into a radically different human being without any serious effort put in. We don't know how he "truly changed" (if at all) during the years Annie was away. He may not be an angry violent man anymore but it's still not enough to be a good parent figure. Caring for someone is a whole different thing, after all.

Will Annie let her child close to him? Sure. I think that's part of having a functional and stable relationship with her father, she won't ban her child from interaction. But there will not be any "closeness" or "warmth", and the child may not spend too much time with Mr. Leonhardt anyway.

Now, god, will he walk Annie down the aisle? Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm gonna be emotional and angry and say: his leg is probably much worse, so Annie has the luck of getting Jean or Reiner or Connie doing it instead. Much better.

In my headcanons, Iosefka is a young doctor who was initially one of the volunteers among the Healing Church doctors and, of course, a nun. Later, her heartfelt kindness prompted her to take over the grounds of the once educational institution to open her own clinic there. I don't think she is somehow related to the Impostor! I think False-Iosefka just had a good idea where she would be most comfortable with her experiments. I also think that Impostor was sorry to kill true one, but her ambitions were too high! Also, Iosefka knew Edgar, and he even had feelings for her.

Good intentions, good lady! :(

27. Why do you like Bloodborne?

LOTS of reasons!!! Creepy, involving scientific rise and fall, full of mysticism PLOT, GREAT characters, the opportunity to finalize the lore yourself…. Also the outfits! I don't know how, in what time and how many people created this story, but they created a masterpiece! Also the overall vibe of the game - I really like the borrowing of Czech architecture. In fact it's even hard for me to articulate everything! I just LOVE everything in this game. Difficulty, gameplay, details, Lovecraftian vibe, etc etc etc etc. I feel cozy when I play bb :>

I have a post with his story here x ! BUT! I wrote this long ago and it's mostly about Guillermo simping for Micolash. Since those time I added some details:

After game's ending Guillermo along with the Doll created children. But it's not about sex. She, as a chtonic being, just taught him to Create a new life (and those children happened to become my 2 Elden ring main characters. Impossible and weird, but I like it so much)

Guillermo is from the same land as Ludwig was! He heard about him as of great knight, and knew that he went to Yharnam to serve there. A southern land, but no so far from Yharnam. Not Loran for sure (as you see, I don't have a name for it)

Guillermo is silly and a little bit naive in the sweetest way. And he always needs to rephrase his words for others to understand him. And he cries very often

He sympathized with Gehrman and had long conversations with him while resting from the hunt. Although Gehrman was reluctant to talk about himself, Guillermo was able to hear from him a few stories of his old life, relating to young Laurence, Maria, and the others.

After defeating Mergo's Wet Nurse he couldn't stop hearing baby's talking and laughing. After ascending it finally stopped. Because Mergo was calm from then.

Guillermo is a poet and a doctor in some sense. He has a sensitive and kind soul so travel through Yharnam made his heart ache a lot.

Damian wasn't impressed with Guillermo (!!important xddd) . They never met, because Damian tried to help but not to cross paths with another Good Hunter who continues the neverending cycle

Guillermo spent a lot of time next to Rom, trying to comprehend wtf is she. He felt a strange regret in killing her, but he didn't understand why

On it!! :^) Some assorted ones I could recall on the go!! Areos ones first:

Ares is an early bird already (of course he is!! Army schedules!!), but after he starts dating Eos, it gives him even more reasons to get up early for his workout, because he can catch a sight of his wife flying in the sky <3 Apollo's chariot may be the most shining sight flying over the horizon, but Ares only pays attention to the dawn that comes before him. Eos' heart melts at his loveydovey eyes!! Especially since she is used to having been overshadowed by the sun for eons, and often feels like a useless deity compared to Helios and Selene.

Speaking of workout, it's also a chance for Eos to stare at Ares working out…that strong dad bod… Yup, she is shameless XD Ares in turn absolutely flirts back, and tries to impress Eos by lifting mega heavy weights (and probably ends up injuring himself by dropping one on his foot by accident LMFAOOO)

Eos herself is a soft coquette feminine lady, so the Spartan culture where women are encouraged to be tough fighters as well comes as a suprise to her. (but a pleasant one!!) Even if she's absolutely clumsy and hopeless with weapons, she does sometimes ask Ares to teach her swordfighting so she can impress him back... and yeah... those sparring sessions often do lead to them two of them making out against the wall, or even more 😏😏

Ares in my hcs, once had an affair with a human woman, which is why Fear and Terror are demigods in the Hercules universe. Another thing he bonds over with Eos!! Because he did genuinely love and misses that lady who moved on to Elysium a long time ago.

Harmonia is his teenage demigod daughter from the same affair! She and her dad are often at odds because Harmonia doesn't like weapons or fighting, and would rather read poetry about peace and love. Her and Eos immediately bonded!! :) (Also she crushes on Prince Kadmos in Prometheus High, and needless to say Ares is that super protective cranky dad who does not approve of anyone ogling his little girl 🤣🤣)

When it comes to the Areos extended family... let's just say that Fear and Terror had the easiest time bonding with south wind Notus, the most goofy himbo out of the wind brothers, and the three of them often team up for triple mischief LMAO (like doing the ancient Greek equivalent of prank calls, aka writing longass messages on mega heavy rocks and telling poor shorty twink Hermes to deliver them)

Boreas originally refused to even breathe in the same room with Ares' offsprings. Meathead Spartan spawns like their blasted father, tch!! There will be no way I'll call those MY family!! ...........until one day he spotted Fear and Terror playing All Greek To Me, and got surprisingly, really invested in the game. Cue Eos walking into the room and seeing the three of them jovially bantering about Greek history knowledge🤣🤣(Also, Boreas is a softy for Harmonia :>)

As for the Borethyia ones!!

Boreas is self-conscious about himself and hides a lot of insecurity under that pompous smug surface :''') He knows he is not beautiful, graceful and kind like Zephyrus. His winds are cold and harsh, his presence kills nature and makes humans retreat to their warm homes. Zephyrus in turn?? Everyone loves the warm and gentle spring breezes!! Him and that goody goody little Persephone push away his cold winter, and mortals always congratulate them for it. Jealousy turned Boreas into a harsh and grumpy old man... and abandonment trauma over his dad's death did not help :'') TL;DR, Orithyia with her flirting and praising on his looks and body makes him melt into goo, because OH BOY is he an affection starved goober

His touch is cold, and yet Ori insists on keeping on cuddling him, kissing him, even at the risk of frostbite... she finds comfort in him, she feels safe.

At the end of my Borethyia lore i hc Ori becoming a goddess just like in mythology (however, only after she's served their time in Tartarus as punishment, after their immortality potion quest nearly released Kronos by accident) She becomes the Goddess of Frost, and needs to be careful from now on when interacting with their mortal friends, so she won't freeze them into icicles (let it gooo let it GOOOOOOO), but on the bright side she can now conjure skating rinks and snowman weather wherever she wants :^)

Boreas is deep down a huge softy for children and has always dreamt of one. Orithyia took several years before she was comfortable enough, because their own experience of growing in an abusive royal Athens family made Ori feel like she could not become a good parent. Guilt over the Immortality Potion ordeal did not help :''') But eventually she decided to roll with it because she wanted kids too, and thus they got Calais, Zetes and Khione!

I headcanon Shinobu as genderfluid grey ace, and I can see her being open about it. (This is lowkey a crack hc, but why can I see her storing hormone replacement meds in her cabinets lmao)

As for Giyuu, I headcanon him as being bi, and I can see him being like me in the sense that he had always known, just didn't know there was a label for it. (And for another crack headcanon, he has absolutely tried the hormone replacement meds from shinobu's cabinet out of curiosity and forgot to put them back. She doesn't know to this day.)

Re-watching something and then being annoyed the actual writers didn't address this THING

I really, really enjoy the challenge of writing a fic that everyone has done 300 times and then doing it different. I have read so many fics where Aunt May has an abusive boyfriend to Peter. Like so many. And then I got done with that and I was like "you know what? Tony punched the abusive guy and that was like. It. Peter was fine? What happens after." And then I wrote Vertigo and Not One for Chocolate Anymore.

Then we have You Screamed for So Long I Forgot To Care Anymore. Pretty much every fic in existence about Loki and the Avengers, there's always this big section about Loki explaining to the Avengers about how he was mind controlled and I was like. Wait. What if the Avengers had to explain that to Loki?

Taking a fandom trope and then twisting it enough so you can still recognize the trope for what it is is one of my favorite things. Everyone loves reading tropes, okay? Everyone. But one of the most enjoyable things is a fresh take on the trope. I had never seen anyone do that before.

Sometimes I get requests, though not as much recently. (I used to get them every couple of weeks. I don't think I've actually accepted a fic request since the Blodig Skog.)

Basically. I just kind of keep an eye out for ideas all the time and then I write them down. I may use them tomorrow or never, but I keep a document all the same.

Here's some ideas from my planning doc:

^ me being annoyed they didn't address that Diana, for as much as she loves Spencer, was extremely neglectful to him in Criminal Minds. Also that scene in s12 where she hit him, Spencer reacted like it wasn't the first time. He barely seemed to think about it. Why? Diana has probably hit him before. <- Headcanon, + me being annoyed with canon.

^ had this one for years. Never done anything. This fic would actually massively deconstruction of Loki and Thor's relationship and I have a feeling that @thot-son-of-odin would kill for it. XD Writers didn't address something, so I'm annoyed + the fic I want to read.

Also based off the original basis for ML which is that the ring would curse Adrien with bad luck and he couldn't remove it, but the only way it would be reversed is if Marinette gave him a kiss.

Decided to redesign my Shadowtwo because honestly she was overly cluttered in a reused pose that didn't really fit or properly show her differences to Sona and overly edgy. Now shes just edgy and overly cluttered in a new way XD

Snarky mother fucker thanks you but using evil voice ya know the one. Very scary that she has this tech now like god dammit why. Probably doesn't actually and won't do anything with it it's just for art/to look scary on her part. Being shes an altered shadowtwo her gaia crystal fused to a mewtwonite X and having merged with biological matter she's different so has higher wants than just "more power" cursed with humanity awareness and higher conscious. Bingbong suffer with self awareness and frontal lobe.

Only the thick lineart lightning lines are canon and represent the crystal corruption seeping into the skin empowering the body. The thinner random ones show up when using powers like her blood vessels are glowing with power it's purely for emphasis and show of her crystal corruption and strength with her implants glowing too for extra ooh

Kept the tail blade but altered it out of all the added crystals as it felt the most fitting to give her a danger blade. The burst chest crystal is and always will be canon as her crystals place of origin was in the mewtwo bump where its theorised mega stones are implanted.

She's significantly taller than Sona, how much taller idk I don't wanna make her ridiculously huge (yes I do) but with Sona being like 5"4' I can see her being like 6"7-6"11 biiiiiig bitch, she also obviously has a significantly longer tail than Sona probably more natural two length or maybe longer I'm not sure. Has everything sona lacks really, move pool, psychic powers, height, long tail took the mewtwonite X in the divorce from her mortal form too

She's just vaguely evil because I don't really have plots with my characters just headcanons I don't art for story lmao. She is not allowed near Night or Uni (givemeuniversalcrossovers) will bite me. Don't tell her but I'll probably draw her near Night later as a teen because she'd probably observe and call out the others are weak and can't train him properly.

Also I keep finding it incredibly funny out of the trio (May my Sona, Mattwo my Sona but boy time with lore and herself being her body is a clone of May) she's the only one who can have a kid and does technically have an on off canon kid called Luna who radiates Gaia energy like a twisted irony punishment making her a target to other shadow pokemon that would want to drain her daughters life meaning the shadowtwo I have who needs a name and is Darkness for now has to face the consequences of her crimes and face the fact she murdered for her form she artificially implanted grown gaia crystals and now her child is a target likely having gained her gaia powers from her through the womb. Basically lmao oops and just her having a kid that because of how separated she is from other shadows she genuinely cares about and now has the stress of needing to protect.

Might also draw her bring Luna cause fellow night child they can bond, friendship.

1,499,650! Ohh I'm almost at a quite pretty number, I should write a 350 word long ficlet/kinda-drabble (not 100 exactly, but if I Am working towards an exact number... Kinda counts as a drabble exercise?) this weekend! Maybe for the Berena advent? I wrote my first ficlet for this year's Holby advent event a couple days ago and it was fun!

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?  

Of all time? None from this year, and probably still the exact same answers as last year xD my three witcher fics, Mirandy The Mystery Stranger (my first fic in that fandom!) and 00Q As It Should Be. Definitely fandom size leading to higher kudos counts there!

Of the year, it's Star Wars visions of a future past, Avorah (Hacks HBO) All About Risk, Tethered and Mistaken Identity and again Star Wars battles left behind and won which is the continuation of the one in first place, so if we don't want to count that (or just discount both of them because again, fandom size pushing a fic high lmao - tho at least the first part has almost 10k words and I quite like it so it might be kinda deserved?), the two after that are Avorah again, Totally Straight and of borrowed swimsuits, panic attacks and parties without purpose, which I think is my personal fav this year, or at least I still remember it really well!

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

When I have the time and energy, yes! I love responding to comments especially when sb actually starts a conversation and replies again, I just don't always have the energy to reply immediately and I do currently have 450 unanswered in my inbox so uhhh take that as you will xD (many are very old asks that have kind of gotten lost in me wanting to wait to reply for when I'd get back to a specific fic or at least the same fandom, and then i never did... I just checked and just ('just' lmao yeah) around 200 are from the last ~360 days)

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I think this year I wrote absolutely 0 unhappy endings? So whatever my answer was last year, that's still accurate.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

Oh dear, hard to say, all the shippy ones are happy really... If the question is happy ending, I guess I'd pick one that doesn't already start out happy... Ohh the one that was so kitschy I kind of cringed writing it but didn't want to move away from the plot I dreamt up is the one where Deborah crashes Ava's wedding, I Object!

7. Do you write crossovers? If so what’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Uh, well, kind of? But not really? I have a couple one shots posted from when I actually wrote some thoughts down from my ever growing crossover headcanon multiverse, but that still just exists in my brain for the most part...

Apart from that, I checked my Ao3 and most 'crossovers' it shows are just fics with several fandom tags for the same fandoms (like ST and ST:Voy), but there is one that is a James Bond meets BBC Sherlock crossover, but the Q Is A Holmes trope is definitely not my idea lmao it's more a fanon trope than it's a crossover I think xD As It Should Be, also available as a podfic.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I know I have, but I'm good at immediately deleting that kind of thing, so I don't remember specifics. If I got any this year, I don't remember it.

Yes, but also none this year o.o the last I did must have been the Bering and Wells ficlet I wrote with @lavendelhummel last November? I think with writing my thesis I just didn't want to risk disappointing anyone by signing up for too many collabs or events. I did have a wip with @die-schwanenkoenigin for an Avorah comedy ficlet about sexting habits, but I think we both kind of lost track of that wip (or at least I hope it wasn't just me. If so, I'm really sorry!)

13. What’s your all time favorite ship?

Oh so hard to say! I feel like Bering and Wells has always been there because it's the first I ever read fic for and I'm still in the fandom, also writing for it occasionally... But idk, it's more that it's a constant background simmer and not really The fic I burn for the most, if you know what I mean? There are so many good ones, I still absolutely love Milippa Prime and Andromaquynh even though it's been hard to really keep them as my prio with how the fandoms have dried up,

For this year instead of all time, I'm coming to love Codywan more and more - I got into Star Wars fic new this year (of course I already knew Star Wars, I just somehow never read fic?), and I started reading just anything that looked interesting, lots of different characters and contradictory ships and all, and I still read different ships now, but Codywan just has that deep tragedy feel to it with such great h/c fix it potential, it's gotten to the point where if i read an obi wan time travel fic (and time travel is my fav! So I want to read those!) I have to take a deep breath at first and accept that Cody is probably not gonna exist in the new timeline *cries* lmao yeah I've got it bad for them, and it's been kind of fascinating getting into a slash ship again? I've mostly read femslash the last years, which makes sense considering my own identity, but I do still enjoy slash, and really any good romance!

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Apart from the previously mentioned headcanon multiverse? And whatever haunts my laptop wip folders that I've forgotten about? All of my fics in my abandoned work piles on Ao3, if you're looking to adopt a fic (want to write something but can't think of a plot), feel free to have a look!

I'm especially sad I never finished the Avorah coma-ghost AU despite how far I got with it, but I don't think I ever will now. It was meant for an fic&art exchange collab thing and no-one else signed up for the ship so I just kind of lost motivation.

Yes please, I don't mind it, I had a lot of that in star wars fics (read not written) this year, especially Mando'a and a bit of amatakka and dai bendu, I'm learning so much fictional language vocab lmaoo, if more people did that with real languages maybe I'd pick up some useful words instead of all the terms for weaponry, armor, family and terms of endearments only mandalorians use xDxD

I like it best when the words are clickable and show the translation either in a hovering box or jump to the end note of the fic (but if the latter Please with an arrow back up to where in the fic I'm coming from lmao), but just putting the translations in the beginning or end note works too.

If there isn't a translation given at all I gotta assume it's irrelevant, like when movies have foreign languages without subtitles to show the characters understand fuckall, and I probably won't look it up myself.

This is so sweet! I agree, both sites have their issues but I’m so glad I kept my tumblr active after the 2018 debacle. I did leave it alone for a bit, but after being active on both sites simultaneously for a little over a year now tumblr is definitely the better user experience imo.

Eridan has always been my favorite troll!!! I was a big greek mythology kid and have always loved the ocean, so both Eridan and Feferi were my automatic favorites (act 5 act 2 was a difficult time for me 🙃). Eridan won out just BARELY as my *favorite* favorite bc 1.) more obvious mythology/mediterranean history references, 2.) seahorse, 3.) wow, I like history too! and 4.) the cape is just…a LOOK. He’s a cool character! All the trolls are cool characters! It’s always bummed me out that people write him off as “the worst one” when he’s clearly just like. A bumbling edgy 13 year old from Planet Murder trying to be a supervillain in the most ineffectual way possible. It’s hilarious. Feferi even calls him out SUPER early for not actually having the guts nor the desire to go through with his “doomsday plans” and that’s…very endearing to me?? I’m not sure why a lot of people just gloss over that and take this kid’s word for it that he is DEFINITELY actually evil and he is DEFINITELY gonna blow everyone up! Including all his friends! He’ll do it! Any day now! Prommy!!! AM I BEING A GOOD VIOLET YET ARE YOU PROUD OF ME DUALSCAR

Sollux is a whole different can of worms, because I really didn’t appreciate how cool he was until I came back to homestuck as an adult. I think in any medium other than a webcomic he would have been one of my favorites from the jump, but for some reason I just found it really hard to read his text color as a kid and had a bad habit of skimming all his logs. I love him now though! There are a million cool things about him, but thing that always gets me with him is how angry he was with ghost Aradia for concealing the world-ending nature of sgrub from him. His society is shit, treats people like HIM like shit specifically, and if he’d lived to adulthood on Alternia he probably would’ve had the worst fate out of anyone in the main cast, including Karkat and Feferi—still, he was furious that the game he was working so hard on in hopes of saving his world ended up destroying it. Even though he had every right to be like “lol sucks for everyone who died but this works out great for me.” He’s just. So good.

I don’t think I have that many groundbreaking erisol headcanons. I just like them separately as characters and I think that (citing erisol as evidence) they’re WAY more similar than they like to think they are, and they would probably be much better friends (yes, I’m an “all the trolls are friends” person) if their circumstances were different. I know Pesterquest was kind of controversial and not everyone takes the routes as canon, but Eridan’s route kind of cemented for me that on some level, Sollux realizes this. That’s why he keeps answering Eridan’s phone calls, and why he seems to flip flop between wanting nothing to do with him and engaging with his antics. In both universes Sollux spends a lot of time talking to Feferi, and Feferi is still Eridan’s friend, even though she’s been frustrated with him for a long time. At a certain point Sollux has probably heard all the bad AND the good, and he knows that Eridan can be better, and that makes it even more frustrating that he goes around enforcing a system that he doesn’t even believe in because he’s desperate for approval from…does he even know who he’s seeking approval from?? Because the bastard could be getting approval from real people who care about him if he’d just stop being so terrible all the time, but NOOOOO. And that kind of frustration and desire to force someone to improve is exactly what caliginous relationships are supposed to be about!

I guess I hc that Sollux is rarely angry that Eridan is pitch flirting with him period, but that Eridan’s attempts at establishing a rivalry are so shallow and based on cheap shots at Sollux’s blood color and him “stealing Feferi” rather than anything about Sollux specifically. At first glance anyone would peg Eridan as the tryhard in their situation, but to Sollux it feels like he’s the one who’s gone to the trouble of finding actual personal things to dislike about Eridan, and Eridan is being lazy and not meeting him halfway at all. If pressed I do think that Eridan would be able to articulate that he cares about Sollux for reasons beyond that stuff (because seriously, he’s calling this boy in the wee hours of the morning just to complain at him he is down horrendous), but he’s not exactly good at the whole “introspection” thing, so. A slow burn ship for sure :/

Fuck yeah, this is exactly it. I love when people point out musical themes, because I may be classically trained in an instrument, but I am so bad at audio understanding, holy shit. I only have a few minor things to say and eh... Yeah well, tell me what you think, but don't take me too seriously, please XD :

A) first of all, Gwen IS mentioned in the final episode. It's when Arthur gives Gaius his royal sigil to pass it on to Gwen. THAT is the goodbye. The entire episode is Gwen learning that her husband will not come back, but that he trusts her with the kingdom. And that she learns Merlin is being there for him as he always was and she understands and, to quote her: she is "pleased".

B) which is why I will repeat what I've said in other posts: Arthur loves both Merlin and Gwen. But differently. His Relationship with Gwen is build on mutual interests and ideas and visions for the kingdom. That's why she is the queen. Because she loves the kingdom and so does Arthur.

Arthur and Merlin love each other on a more individual and personal level. What really stands between them are Merlin's lies and that's why Arthur only falls for Merlin in the final episode when the truth is finally out. (This is where this beautifully aligns with OP.)

C) i don't think Gwen is annoyed or displeased by Merlin being there. She knew what she was getting into when she married Arthur. It's established in the farm scene that Arthur only comes as a package deal with Merlin. And I think Gwen didn't mind that. I think it amused her and she wanted Arthur to admit it in the date scene mentioned above, because Arthur is stubborn and they both have to deal with his idiocy.

D) In season 5 episode 12, when she's in bed with Arthur, they aren't in Camelot. And while I agree that the two of them have a rather chaste marriage, this scene is shot at the front line of war. They think they will die tomorrow and Arthur suddenly having a vision of Merlin isn't concerning because he's having a sexual dream about him. It's that Merlin warns him in his sleep of Morgana's trap and Arthur takes it seriously enough to actually listen to it, while he'd usually dismiss anything Merlin says. I think Gwen is just as surprised as Arthur is that a dream like that makes him react so fast. She isn't upset about a potential love triangle, she's been too long in this relationship to know what Arthur thinks. It's the upcoming war and the shared concern for Merlin who is not with them at that time that puts that expression on her face. I don't see jealousy there, tbh. Also, the dream could have easily been a magic trick of Morgana, so Gwen's worry has, in my opinion, more layers than jealousy. Gwen has far more character in the show than to be reduced to a secondary love interest. She is a queen, and she acts like it and thinks like it and expresses like it too. There is little room for sexual enthusiasm in that scene and I find it very relieving to see that the show took that moment seriously for what it was. I'd even argue that if this HAD BEEN a sex scene, then I'd agree with OP's statement above that Gwen's reaction would be seen as jealousy and confusion about their relationship.

E) I have never, in my entire life, seen a scene that makes a Leon/Gwen ship reasonable. And while I am open to hear it out, I will forever refuse to accept it. Nuh uh. NOTP!!! Aro/Ace immortal Leon for life, baby. Lmao, sorry, but this is a headcanon I will defend with my life. xD u can still ship it, of course.

F) what a creator says about a show is not canon. You can fight me on this take, but if the source material does not show it, then it's simply not a thing. The word 'author' comes from the word 'authority' and refers to the person who has the authority over a text. pre printing history, there was no such thing as authorship. There were composers of texts there were scribes and kings who had influences over these texts, because they had influcences over the scribes, story and composer, and no one put their name under it... or rarely at least. The idea of a text belonging to some individual came after printing was invented. And today we have editors and lectors. In movies we have script writers, set designers, editors, actors, directors and so on and so forth and all of them have a certain power over the story. Bbc merlin would have been different, had we not had Katie McGrath as Morgana, Bradley James as Arthur, Colin Morgan as Merlin and Angel Colby as Guinevere. So who has the power over the show? Over the characters? Who can tell you who is what? Who does what? Who feels what?

We're working with these texts and scenes and designs and we are the ones analysing what is happening. So we have to differenciate between these things. Now, we, as the Community, have authority as well. Because now that the show is over, we have the power over the given canon. So, I personally love what the directors and actors say, but not all they say aligns with the show. So, if Bradley James says: 'Merthur bromance wins over Arwen romance' we can agree to that because it aligns with the show.

If the director says, Gwen now has Leon, but I don't see it in the show, my headcanons are just as valid as his are and just as correct. Which is also why my disagreements are not contradicting, but parallel to OP's post.

“ The deterioration of Arwen in season 5”

My biggest takeaway from Season 5 is how the Arwen ship was dismantled piece by piece by the show creators.

In season 5, Arthur and Gwen are married, but their relationship was shown to be exceedingly formal, chaste, without true communication and lack of personal touch. Let me elaborate:

Formal : They never kiss in season 5 !!!!!!!!!!

2. Chaste : Arthur and Gwen are always shown completely dressed even in the bedroom

whereas other couples are shown in a more sexually charged light than them.

3. Lack Of Communication : Scene From Season 5:

Gwen: I know you sometimes desire time alone away from me… If you don’t wish me to accompany you I’d rather you told me yourself than have Merlin do it

4. Lack of Personal Touch :

It looks more like an intentional reference to the episode where Arthur and Gwen first kissed:

Arthur: I can kill a chicken from a thousand paces, just don’t ask me to cook it. That’s what servants are for.

Gwen: I’m not ashamed to be a servant. At least I’m not a liar.

Arthur: We had a nice meal together. What does it matter where it came from?

Gwen: Because I thought you’d shown some humility. You had done something kind for me even though I’m just a servant.

NOW THAT BEGS THE QUESTION, WHY WOULD THE CREATORS DO THIS ?

In cannon stories, Arthur and Gwen are married. Gwen has an affair with Lancelot. Their affair brings about the fall of Camelot.

In the TV series, Lancelot is dead, so the series creator try to highlight another love triangle

GWEN ------------------ARTHUR---------------- MERLIN

They could have Gwen out of this scene, but they didn’t. And if you know how these things are shot, then you also know it wasn’t a mistake on the filmmakers part, it was on purpose.

There are always 3 people in this marriage, and I don’t think that Gwen is very happy about that, even though she doesn’t always voice it out loud:

Gwen’s dissatisfaction of her marriage shows in the Dark Tower episode. Gwen: “Arthur doesn’t tell me anything”. And it wasn’t just a flippant statement.

It all plays into her greatest fears (as Morgana confirmed once again: “The mandrake root is cruel. It pierces the depths of your soul, twisting your unconscious into the very image of fear and dread.”)

So why would Gwen fear her husband lying and mocking her the most? As well as her brother and Arthur’s knight Elyan and Arthur’s best friend - Merlin?

It’s because she doesn’t fully believe Arthur on some subconscious level. This is what Morgana plays into. She knows that Gwen was feeling a little alone even before the Dark Tower (we see bits of it in the earlier episodes, when Gwen asks Arthur to stay with her and he politely refuses and goes with the knights to yet another mission.) “Gwen, you’re not alone now. You need never be alone again. I am the only one you can trust.”

Arthur acts as a knight should with his wife, he gives her beautiful compliments. You can’t really accuse him of abandoning his wife:

But what he does immediately after that? After all, it’s a Gwen/Arthur’s date, he pays attention to Merlin.

And if you ask me, Gwen doesn’t look happy about it:

The last Gwen/Arthur moment in the show ends with Arthur saying ‘Merlin’ and bolting out of bed because he dreamed his servant was talking to him.

More importantly, In the final episode of the series there is not a single scene between Arthur and Gwen. What happened there? They gave 'proper’ goodbyes to Perceival/Gwaine and Merlin/Gaius, even Arthur/Gaius. It was actually a stunningly disrespectful ending to the relationship they seemed to prioritize for so long.

It is because the show creators finally emphasized what the show was about in their finale episode:

Arthur does not mention Gwen once in his dying moments what so ever.

2. The Arwen romantic theme plays between Arthur and Merlin. The musical score is shot from Arthurs perspective showing Arthur falling in love with Merlin. LISTEN CAREFULLY

3. And the final clue to the puzzle, Julian called the final episode a love story between 2 men.

Mind you, I’m not saying Arthur didn’t love Gwen and vice versa. They did, but their marriage just wasn’t working as it should have. Give the show creators some credit for drastically reinterpreting the Gwen-Lancelot-Arthur triangle into a Merlin-Arthur-Gwen plot point.

Gwen certainly deserved better than this, so I’m glad sir Leon will be there for her.

Julian Murphy: See, that’s another undercurrent in Merlin. Isn’t it? Sir Leon. Him and Gwen.

And some people like to say that Julian was joking and his words don’t count as a confirmation (And why is that, exactly?), but I disagree. Because Leon is heavily hinted to have feelings for Gwen in the show itself And there is this official promo photo. Mind you there is not a single photo of Gwen with any other knight for season 5 except Leon.

I think it totally counts as canon, because it would have been insensitive to show it explicitly in the show right after Arthur’s death. But still Leon was deliberately shown standing near Gwen and the throne in the last scene.

Arthur Pendragon x Nicknames

All hc’s are dedicated to the hc queen @thatone-nerdygirl for reasons.

Arthur Pendragon. That was his name. It was quite honestly the most boring name in all of Albion (according to the man himself)

There was nothing you could do about his name that wouldn't make him sound like an absolute poshie

(Unless of course you call him Artie, but that just means death...for you)

So Arthur had to go through his life with just that name. Arthur for fucks sake. Uther just wanted it to rhyme the bastard

Arthur's despise for his own name is why he likes to make up "annoying" (read: endearing) little nicknames for people

Leon didn't think you could possibly shorten his name any more than it already was

But when a young little squire of a prince came bounding up to him one day with an adorable tiny "Leo!!!"

Well. Who in the hell even is this Leon person??

Gwen has always had her nickname. Guinevere was a mouthful to say, but Prince Arthur deemed it to be the perfect nickname for her

Until of course, Arthur took her by the hands as a sign of comfort and mumbled a soft "Gwen" that just warmed her heart more than when anyone ever said it

She didn't quite mind Guinevere anymore. Gwen was for soft moments.

When Lancelot and Percival arrived, they were immediately given the nickname "Lance" and "Percy" because obviously.

But, as seen with Guinevere, Arthur's nicknames for people don't necessarily mean they have to be short. No, they have to mean something.

That was why whenever Arthur called for them, Sir Lancelot and Sir Percival never failed to arrive

Gwaine, while mostly called Sir Gwaine, by the princess had a different name he was honored with

As baffling as it may sound, Gwaine was honored to be the "Drunken Fool." He was honored to be at the other end of Arthur's harsh insult and fond smile.

Gwaine may be a Drunken Fool, but dammit he wore that name proudly. A very good king had given it to him out of emotional constipation and he will absolutely take it

Elyan had absolutely no idea he'd get a special nickname different from the "Sirs" of the knights. Maybe it was because he was Gwen's brother and Gwen was like family to Arthur? Maybe it was because Elyan really was just that special

Either way, Elyan will always feel especially smug and proud after Arthur pats him in the shoulder with a "Great job today, Eli."

Morgana had two nicknames. "Morgs" was the nickname Arthur used a lot when they were kids and he kept bullying her.

The other...The other was the name Arthur called out to her whenever she was frightened by another nightmare or traumatized by another killing. The other was the name that could break her down from her strongest shield and darkest hearts. The other was the name that ultimately ended her life as that damn horrid witch she became.

"Gana...please come home."

Who was Morgana to deny the request of the King? Much less the request of her loving brother

Merlin was a special case. The man loved nicknames as much as he did and it definitely showed.

Prat, Idiot, Dollophead, Clotpole, Bone idled toad, Sire, Girl, Girl's blouse, Cabbagehead. There wasn’t one insult in the world that wasn’t used as a nickname between the two.

But that was for everyone else to see.

Because behind closed doors, it was “I love you, my sorcerer” and “I, you, my king”

It was “Mine.” over and over in fits of jealousy or pride

It was “I’m here, Merls. I’m okay” 

It was “Good Morning, my husband” and “Goodnight, my love” 

But most of all, it was “Merlin” and “Arthur” whispered reverently like a prayer each and every night.

Okay do you have any Shuumayui headcanons? because I don't see a lot about them:(

YESSSSS one of my favorite trios!!! >:D

One of my favorite things about this ship is that it reveals that Yuma has a Type and he's really into blondes. It feels so good & true to me.

The way they get together, in my head, is that Shu and Yui get together around HDB. And Shu definitely loves her, but there's always this anxiety hanging over him, like "I've loved a human before and he died, and I can never forget this as long as I live. Will Yui die too??"

BUT THEN!!!! YUMA SHOWS UP!!!!! Shu's first love did NOT die, and then Yui gets kidnapped by the Mukamis and experiences a bunch of stuff with Yuma too. So to say things get complicated is an understatement; Shu and Yui are in a relationship but now there's this guy that they both, separately, like. I'm sure misunderstandings ensue, especially because Shu gets jealous lol :'D

As the usual canon events happen and the usual tense Shu-Yuma-Reiji stuff gets cleared up, Yui's been helping them out quite a lot, being the designated Person Who Can Understand and Communicate Feelings. She can say, "Shu feels like this, Yuma feels like this, you two should try to understand each other." When asked why she goes through all this trouble for idiots like them, Yui shyly says that she loves them both very much, and she wants them to get along.

Shu tries to brush this off, but Yuma mutters, "...I get it. I love you both too." and Shu's like "???????"

Of course this is news for Shu, who has loved them both deeply for a LONG TIME. And he's been repressing the fuck out of his feelings for years, because of that anxiety I mentioned before. But the two people he loves the most in the world have said that they love him.....?! They're both alive, and safe, and right in front of him, and they love him?

So he stumbles over his words for a while, and he's like "I love you too, I love you both so much." And Yui's confession had been characteristically sweet and kinda cheesy, and Yuma's had this kind of pointed tone like "this is embarrassing, hurry up and forget I'm saying this"...........so in comparison, Shu's confession sounds life-and-death serious. Yui and Yuma are kinda shocked. But now they all said it, they all meant it, so it's impossible to ignore now.

Still, I think whenever Shu says something romantic to them, Yuma gets embarrassed and tries to stop him lol. The two of them are really Yuma's weakness—if they flirt with him or look at him with puppy dog eyes or something, he'll fold right away, tell them to cut it out, and then do whatever they want xD

ANYWAY this is too obvious but Yuma can lift them both up at the same time, Yui in one arm and Shu in the other. ^_^ I imagine Yui's like "kyaaa this is embarrassing" but Shu just goes limp like a sack of potatoes lmao.

I really like the headcanon that Yui reintroduces religion back into Yuma's life in a way that resonates with him a lot more. Like Yui will talk about feeling close to God when she's with people she loves, and that she wants to thank God for those people. And Yuma will be laying with Yui and Shu in his arms, in a quiet moment, and he'll think, "...She's right, I feel it too."
