Pairing : Percy jackson x demigod!reader

Being the child of a primordial goddess doesn’t really assure you a quiet calm life but when you return to new york after five years of being shipped off to boarding school, your once mundane life says goodbye.

I know i said i would put it in two halves but it got a bit too long so it’s going to have to be 3.  enjoy!
contents page
“You couldn’t perhaps, I don’t know, put some goggles on, open a window or something?” you began, wafting the air in front of you in order to not get a lung full of smoke.
Beckendorf, although you did prefer to call him charles, turned to you and pulled down the bandanna covering his mouth down, “nah, it’s all right Y/N, us children of Hephaestus are born to able to withstand such harsh conditions” and he went back to hammering the almost formed celestial bronze sword in his hand.
You supposed that he was correct, although being very much not a direct child of hephaestus, you didn’t really inherit the immunity to poison by carbon monoxide.
The reason why you were in the forges was because you helping out with the making of new weapons. A war was coming and you needed to be prepared. So you had teamed up with you so called uncles and aunties to do so. When you were on the island of circe you had found you had an extreme hand at magic. Enchantments and charms were your specialty- things like curses, not so much.
You shivered at the thought of all those pirates who had been rotting away with hatred for the goddess, you couldn’t imagine what they had done when percy had freed them. At the time you didn’t know that circe was keeping men visitors as hostage, you just thought they didn’t allow any on the island. If you had knew then, maybe you wouldn’t have stayed for so long, or gone at all.
“Y/N it’s nearly done, you ready?” Beckendorf called over his shoulder and you snapped back to reality, making your way to his side.
You were defiantly not the best at forging ( hey, you can’t have everything) so you were tasked with reinforcing the weapons with magical properties such as, unbreaking, knock back and perhaps a few fire enchantments- which conner and travis were very fond of, you had to put out at least 7 fires that week, conner himself at one point.
Beckendorf, took the sword, a long double-edged blade, with a wide hilt and shaped like a leaf, very greek- you thought, as he dunked it in water to cool it down.
When it came out, steaming, you placed your hands over it’s centre. It had taken you quite a while to get back into the swing of things - having been about 5 years since you had last done the magic trick, but now you did it without problem. You chanted a spell in ancient greek and began to spread your hands over it, taking one towards the hilt and the other to the point. A dim blue light shone over it, encasing the blade almost like a second skin. Out of the corner of your eye you saw the awe in beckondorfs face and it made you smile- to think that such a big buff boy could be amused by a little magic...
You finished your spell and the dim blue light shone intently for a second then disappeared, the sword gleaming as if it had been given a new life.
“What’s this one do then?” beckendorf asked, sounding like a 5 year old who had just been given a new toy.
“Knockback, this ones a bit more powerful, I think” You said, remembering the brightness of the final glow the sword had given.
“You think? how can you tell?”
You shrugged and the opened your arms, “Only one way to find out”
Beckendorf looked at you as if you were mad, “I don’t think that’s a good idea-”
“No, I want to see how powerful these things are” You said, readjusting you stance, “If it’ll make you feel better we can fight before it then you won’t feel like you hit me unguarded”
And you released your right sword and charged.
Beckendorfs eyes widened and he shook his head viciously as you came towards him. But you didn’t stop and neither did beckendorf.
It was almost as if his body went into autopilot because you brought the sword down and he lifted up his hand to block it. He hadn’t even put any effort to push you back but as soon as your sword clashed against his, you were thrown back, your feet lifting off the floor and you soared half way across the forge.
If you hadn’t been expecting this, you would’ve crashed straight into the wall and created a Y/N sized crater. Fortunately you were expecting this and was able to control the air to slow you down and allow you to gracefully skid to a halt, avoiding you crashing into the wall.
“Woah, that was awesome” Beckendorf said as if in a trance, “Whatever gets hit with this is going to wish they never attacked in the first place”
A smile come on your face, “yeah I guess-”
The door to the forges swung open, you thought at first it was a group of campers coming for their ‘making weapons’ workshop but it was too early for that.
“Y/N there’s a group of dracnae near the boarder!” Will said, he was out of breath, he probably had just ran there from the forest.
You spun around and ran towards the door.
To save Will the expense of running again, you grabbed his arm in one hand and with the other you pushed yourself against the air.
And the two of you were carried away with the wind, literally.
You zoomed past the cabins and were into the forest in no time- the whole time will was shouting, from fear or excitement- you couldn't tell, but when you finally landed he stumbled around with a maniac smile on his face, “that was fun”
You left him trying to reorient himself and rushed to the lines of campers who were firing arrows from behind trees and with Lee Fletcher shouting over their heads.
“Don’t let them get past!” For a guy so warm hearted and who you’d often see singing songs at camp fires every night, you were shocked by his fierce shouts.
“Aim, and fire! Again! Don’t fall back! go forward- Y/N!”
You rushed towards them after seeing through a gap between the trees.
There were about two dozen dracnae- half snake women who had the top half of a human and the bottom of a snake. They stood out against the dull brown of the forest, their green thick tails slithering against the ground as they inched closer to where you stood. how they had got near the camp without being detected? you couldn’t tell, but you wanted them away as soon as possible.
Ignoring Lee’s calls, you rushed towards the line of snake women and lifted yourself on the winds, landing a few feet in front of the dracnae ladies.
“What have we got here?” a dracnae who you guessed was leader hissed, “Hmmmm, ssssmellssss like a goddessss”
You scrunched your nose, you preferred it when people said you smelled like magnolias.
You flicked you wrist, revealing your drakon blades and causing the dracnae to hiss in distaste. Then you bounded after them.
Unlike percy, you tended just to get on with it, you felt like taunting was a waste of time and you weren’t much of a talker either. You advanced at the first dracnae, she bared her fangs and raised her long spear ready to attack.
others were ready to pounce on you too, but you took care of them. With a tug of your mind you caused one of the older trees to uproot, and it came falling down, crashing about 7 of the ugly things leaving a fine cloud of yellow dust.
The others came to their senses and instead of targeting the apollo cabin, they attacked you. about 15 to 1, that seemed fair. But at least that had taken their attention off your friends.
“You’ll pay for that!” the centre dracnae hissed and her forked tongue licked her lips restless as if she was excited to have another demigod meal.
You fell into combat with the leader, your swords were shorter which meant you had to come into close contact with her, and the fact she smelt like wet mouldy leather, you didn’t exactly want that.
She was rather good with a spear but she was no match with your two blades. You were able to semi-disarm her, sending her shield flying into a nearby tree and you swung your left sword to slice her torso in half but it never made contact with it.
The ugly dracnae smiled at you
She had moved so fast that she was able to block the attack with the but of her spear, pushing up against your left as she pushed down against you right. She inched loser towards yo, the tip of her spear rather close to cutting into your hand.
You were stuck, but you gave her what she wanted. You retracted you left sword so it wrapped neatly around your wrist as a diamond and pearl encrusted bracelet and the dracnae’s spear smashed into her face, “OW!”
she swiped at you blindly but you sliced off her hand with almost no effort at all. That was far too easy.
She wailed out in pain and she let down her guard to now look at her newly decapitated arm, “AHHHHH”
The sound was horrible, like a thousand metal keys scratching on a chalkboard, you shut her up by driving a sword through her gut.
She exploded in a yellow dust cloud, you blew some wind to prevent it falling into your eyes.
You spun around, facing the other 14. You raised your eyebrow- this will be fun.
They slithered restless, their slimy green tails moving bak and forth against the ground, as if ready to charge at you. But that gave you an idea, and you began to make the ground swallow them up.
“What is this?!” one of the exclaimed, as she uselessly tried to pull her tails from the ground, “What have you done?”
The others began to brandish their spears, holding them out to you, trying to catch you from that length.
“Releasssse ussss thisss inssstant” One from your right hissed, causing you to smile.
It was absolutely ridiculous how monsters thought they could tell you what to do, are they stupid?
“All yours Lee” You said sweetly.
Lee popped out from behind the tree, blush tinting his cheeks and eyes wide, “uhm- me?” he pointed to himself but then he recollected isn stood up straight, “You heard her, aim and fire!”
About a dozen arrows were knocked at once and you barely had time to dodge out of the way as they rained down on the dracnae army, creating a little mushroom cloud of yellow dust.
You gagged, the smell was horrible.
“Y/N are you okay?” Will sprinted towards you, his bow slung over his shoulder.
You nodded your head and he looked surprised, “Wow, not even a scratch” he said almost to himself as the other made their way towards you, congratulating you on your attack.
You always felt bad when this happened. You felt as if you had a rather large advantage to the rest of the campers but you believed that they should have their own chances at winning their own battle and not always have you to save the day. The whole camp knew of your power and thought that they would have the upper hand with you on their side, a daughter of a primordial goddess, but you didn’t want to steal their spotlight. So you did the best you can to make sure they took on the majority of the fight, only helping when you needed to.
You waved them off, “all I did was set a trap, you guys killed them and stopped them from getting to the camp, you should be proud of yourselves” you gave them a sweet smile and a assuring nod, that seemed to do the trick.
“Thanks Y/N” Lee said, patting your shoulder, “Is it alight if I ask you to inform chiron about this? Take will with you, we’ll scout the rest of the perimeter just in case there’s anymore monsters”
You nodded your head and the rest of the apollo cabin followed Leeand left you and will at the sight of the fight.
“Are we going to do the wind thing again? that was fun” Will jumped up and down beside you and you didn’t realise how tired you were until you saw how full of energy will was. Or maybe that was just his personality, either way half way through talking to Lee you felt like falling just like the tree you uprooted did.
The world began to tilt side ways and you head felt as if it was no longer on your neck.
“Woah” Will exclaimed, catching your arm and holding you up, “ Y/N are you alright?”
You manage to roll your eyes to his face, Concern evident on his face, “ I’m fine thank you for asking, how are you?”
He scrunched his eyebrows, “that fight must have taken a bigger toll than I thought”
You knew that will had seen that you were left unscratched but being the son of apollo, and a talented healer, he could tell your wounds were somewhere deeper.
“Y/N you used your powers a lot today, and you were doing magic at the forges, you need to be careful, using too much of your powers might burn you out, literally”
You brought a hand up to pat will on the arm as he helped you stand up, “As long as the job gets done-”
“Y/N...” Will said warningly and you gave the younger boy a tired smile.
“Will i’ve got it under control, have a little faith in me”
You remember the first time will had brought up your overuse of your powers, you had fainted after going one to 5 with a vicious group of empousa and you were knocked out for about 3 days, will was the one who nursed you back to health.
“Y/N it doesn’t make sense” he said perplexed, staring at you as if you had just returned from the dead, which was rather similar, “Chiron said the powers you used were of an immortal, any power like that would’ve disintegrate any demigod”
Will was right, you should have disintegrated, you knew that but you had to protect the camp. you hadn’t felt tired at all during the fight, only after did the effects hit you.
You shrugged your shoulders, “I haven’t combusted so I guess i’m fine to continue”
“But what if you did?” Will said, “I know your one of our strongest fighters but we can’t have you risking your life every time monsters attack”
“But will,” you smiled softly, “That’s kind of the whole point”
He paused for a second the turned away, “You know what I mean”
You stared at will, you must thought he had healed plenty of campers, there was a heavy weight on his shoulders. Their lives had depended on him to save them.
“Chiron says, it’s-” He stuttered, as if the words were too hard to say, “he says it’s taking a toll on you on the inside, it’s breaking your soul”
The words hit you like a truck you saw from a mile away yet you still stayed perfectly still in the middle of the road, “I know”
He snapped his head towards you, “You know? Then why-”
“Why anyone does anything they do?” You interrupted, your voice tired, “Why do we all train? Why do we all go on dangerous quests? Why do we all fight back against an army of immortal titans?”
That shut him up.
You pursed your lips, “As long as there’s something worth fighting for, then I don’t mind risking my life, and so does everyone else”
"When did you start feeling it?” Will asked, still keeping a hand firm on your arm.
“When talking to Lee, but I didn’t-”
“Want them to see?” Will finished, and he scoffed, “I know”
You let your head hang at the disappointment in his voice but there was something else there too, admiration? concern?
“Y/N please don’t feel you need to seem strong all the time, you’re only just a demigod, nobody expects you to be indestructible”  Will said kindly as the two of you approached the boarders of camp, a few satyrs who were sitting under the shade of the trees saw the two of you and rushed to your aid.
You and Will made your way to the big house, Will still felt the need to keep his hand on your shoulder just in case you decided to faint but you tried to make it seem you were fully capable of walking yourself.
But as soon as you were in the living room you didn't think you could.
There was annabeth, tears running down her face, washing away a track through the grime and soot that caked her whole body. She had a nasty gash running down her arm and her clothes looked as if she had gone for a bath in the hudson river.
“Annabeth! are you alright, where’s percy, grover and tyson...” But as soo as the words left your mouth, you felt the dread fall upon you.
Annabeth continued to sob harder as will left your side to help with the bleeding cut on her arm.
Chiron stood in the centre of the room a grim expression on his face.
“We got separated,” Annabeth started, explaining all that had happened in the maze. You tried to keep your attention on her but the words just flowed through one ear and out the other, leaving nothing but the anxiousness that came with them.
“And Hephaestus showed me what happened to mount saint helens-”
Chiron and you had seen what had happened as you watched an iris message from a satyr near the mountain- The place had erupted, you were scared that typhoon was rising, but you’d rather have that than known percy was in there and he had never came out.
You heart dropped, and so did your knees.
You felt them hitting the floor before you knew you were falling, will rushed to your side, “Y/N?”
Percy... was gone?
He couldn’t be, he can’t be- he has a prophecy to fulfil he surely can’t be-
You didn’t realise you were saying it out loud until the words you didn’t want to utter got stuck in your throat.
You and annabeth made eye contact, both of you with tears streaming down your face. A silent exchange was made, there’s still nico.
You shook your head, that just gave a reason as to why percy could be dead.
“No, we would know right? if he was dead, if he’d been killed, he was definitely the one to cause the eruption right? He surely would have been able to save himself...? Right?!”
You were pleading at this point, you wanted someone to tell you that was exactly what had happened and percy would come back right away.
“I’m afraid, that all we can do now,” Chiron interrupted, his voice tight, a sad gaze directed to you, “is pray that he returns”
Your head snapped towards chiron, you were filled with shock- why wasn’t he jumping straight at the opportunity for a search party? Calling allies if they’ve seen anything? Sending campers out to look for him?
But then it dawned on you, how would you even begin to search for percy?
Looking at chiron made you wonder, how many heroes did he wait on to return but never did?
“What if it was just the mist,” you continued, not wanting to accept what you knew was well likely the truth, “ the mist could’ve been too strong that even we couldn’t see though it-”
“Y/N” will said, placing a hand on your arm.
You turned to him, surprised to see that there were tears brimming his eyes too. He sent you a look, please stop.
You let your sobs release and you flung your face into your hands, not wanting anyone to see. A second later you found yourself in annabeth’s arms and saw how lucky your were that she was still alive, “I’m so glad you’re okay” You muttered into her shoulder, “You’re alive thank the gods”
Chiron had left the room, you didn’t even realise, probably to call a counsellor meeting, if there was one, you didn't want to be there for it.
....
You left the camp the day after, you were upset and didn’t want to see anyone. You just wanted to mope in your sorrow and everyone let you do it -they were far too scared of what you’d do if they didn’t.
The only person who could approach at these times was annabeth but she was smart enough to let you wander on your own- Finding monsters before they found camp and killing them on the spot.
You were never one to be reckless, you were praised on that - able to keep level headed in the face of even the darkest moments. But nothing had ever flamed you like this.
The first day you left camp you couldn’t remember much but you returned, sweaty, covered in blood and monster dust and feeling like you would drop dead with exhaustion. But that still wasn’t enough to cover the pain in your heart.
It ate you up inside, percy couldn’t have- the percy jackson couldn’t-
You remember the first few nights, crying to yourself, head tucked under the sheets in your bed at the big house. Waking up at the crack of dawn and heading off from camp before anyone could see your red eyes and puffy face.
Then as the days went by you found yourself not being able to cry anymore, just lying with emptiness and shock.
The only time you stayed at camp was the day of percy’s shroud burning.
You had all been hoping for a miraculous return, but two weeks seemed long enough. You had prepared yourself for the worst and here you were finally coming to terms with it yet there was no feeling of satisfaction, no feeling of closure. You just wanted percy back.
You didn’t even get to tell him how you felt, how you had a crush on him the first time you laid eyes on him, how you’ve been in love with him ever since you’re first night by the lake.
You sat near the front, next to annabeth as she held percy’s shroud. It was right that she was the one to do it, after all, she was the last person to see him and her and percy had been through so much together.
Even at this time you couldn’t help but feel envious of your best friend. Her and percy had been on countless adventures together, practically grown up together and yet you were only fortunate to come into his life just a year ago. Some times you managed to get yourself upset with the fact that maybe annabeth was more suited for percy- deserved percy more than you.
You shook your thoughts out of your head, how can you be thinking about such selfish things at a time like this?
It didn’t matter now did it, there was no percy to get jealous over.
You sat silently, not watching as annabeth gave her speech. The whole camp seemed dampened by the news. The whole week campers lost their morale, no more laughs or even much chatter during dinner. Percy had been everyone’s favourite, the camp’s hero, their saviour, now-
“And he’s standing right there!”
You thought it was a cruel joke, but annabeth wouldn’t joke like this. Perhaps it was a trick of the mist, or maybe annabeth had lost it.
Never the less, you lifted up your head, not expecting much, just to glare angrily at the disturbance and you heart found it’s way to your throat.
There, standing at the back of the crowd was percy, no it couldn’t be.
he looked- perfectly fine, like he didn’t just die two weeks ago and had been on a short vacation in the bahamas.
His skin was slightly tanned and he was wearing new clothes that didn’t look like they’d been through the labyrinth at all. but you couldn’t believe it, you had to get a closer look, which was difficult because he was soon crowded with campers, hugging him, clapping him on the back, and your legs had stopped working.
It was only when annabeth ran up to hug him and he spun around, facing you, your eyes making contact- were you hit with the realisation that percy wasn’t dead.
The small smile on his lips broke into a wide one as he made his way towards you.
Your heart leaped, then it stopped, then you felt yourself shaking, eyes filling with tears. Percy’s form turning into a blurry blob as he rushed towards you.
You stood up and flung yourself off your seat and wrapped your arms around percy’s torso, your sobs immediately breaking out of your mouth as your chest heaved with the breaths you were holding.
The way you never wanted to let go. You clung onto him as if making up for all the times in the past two weeks you had nearly died just wanting to. You coiled your arms around him so tightly that your hands came back round to brush your elbows. It was like he was a dream and the closer you held him, the more real he would become.
But it really was him, wasn’t it?
The feeling of his arms engulfing you was the most comforting thing in the world, it felt like only he existed and that was all you needed. They felt like the reassurance you needed to let you know he really was there.
He smelt nice, of freshly washed laundry and salt water, but he always smelt like salt water. The familiar scent just caused your heart to ache more, he really was here.
He brought his hand up to brush your hair, “Hey, it’s alright i’m here now, please don’t cry”
“I thought you were dead!” you choked out, “We all did!”
“I’m sorry princess,” percy whispered so that only you could hear, “i’m sorry if i pushed our reunion back too long”
You pushed yourself back and punched him square in the chest.
“Ow” he said, although a large smile was plastered on his face as he rubbed his chest where you had hit him.
“Why are you joking at a time like this!” you exclaimed, taking both your fists and pounding against his chest, “You-made-us-all-so-worried-”
“Hey hey hey,” Percy said, taking your fists in his hands and bending down to your height to see your face, “I’m sorry”
“You better be,” you bit out and turned away from percy so that he wouldn’t see the blush on your face, or the puffiness of your eyes, but it was rather difficult when he still had your wrists in his grasp.
You heard him let out a small chuckle, “gods i missed you”
You felt yourself heat up at the comment and you shyly turned your head up towards him- now he could really see the blush.
And then you were suddenly snapped back to reality, which was commendable since your crush had just returned form the dead and had immediately started flirting with you. And you were very aware of the whole camp who were now watching the both of you with all their attention.
But the smile of percy’s face washed some of that sudden anxiousness away. It was relaxed and matched the warmness of the look in his eyes, gods you could get lost in those sea green eyes all day.  he didn’t seem to care that the two of you had suddenly become the main stars of attraction in the amphitheatre, but the fact you could see the staring faces of your friends out of the corners of your eyes kept you glued to reality.
“Ahem,” Chiron interrupted, you wanted to snap your head towards him but you didn’t think you could handle the embarrassment, “I think we should all try to give percy some space, all of you back to your normal activities, head counsellors to the big house for a meeting”
There was an outbreak of discontent murmur, campers wanted to hear percy’s story and were unhappy with the fact they were now expected to resume  normal activities after percy had just returned from the dead.
In the crowd you heard a snicker, “give him space applies to you too Y/N!”
If you weren’t red before, you sure were now.
You made to yank your hands away from percy, but he still held on tightly, “Oh no you don’t” he said under his breath and pulled you closer so that you stood next to his side, “I just got here, you’re not about to leave me just yet”
And with that, he dragged you along with the other head counsellors to the big house as you prayed silently in your head, thanking the gods that percy was alive and safely returned back home.
...
“That’s your plan?” Annabeth exasperated, throwing her hands up in the air, “It’s a stupid plan!”
You looked over to percy and he had a hard look on his face.
Chiron had called a meeting to discuss what to do and to make of annabeth’s and percy’s information about luke’s uprising army who were planning to attack camp.
Percy had explained his disappearance- marooned on an island and Hephaestus had saved him, you knew better.
As soon as he mention ‘island’ your heart dropped.
You suddenly found yourself thinking of calypso, the beautiful goddess who was exiled on ogygia and cursed to fall in love with boys she can never have.
Your heart was torn between feeling angry that she had kept percy away from you all and distraught that your friend had to go through another heartbreak.
Yes, calypso was your friend.
When you still lived with your mother, she had sent you to stay with calypso. She said that calypso was a kind girl and she felt pity towards her, so she often sent you to her for company.
Of course other gods would have argued against the notion but none ever did, they were far too scared of what your mother was capable of.
Whilst at the island you spent the days helping calypso in her beautiful garden, learning different things such as how to plant tubers to how to weave to how to create magic dishes that washed themselves.
And there, your distaste for the gods started.
You had always been on guard with the gods, from the way you saw it your mother was the only unselfish immortal you knew.
They always only seemed to do things that would benefit them in the long run, maybe they had their moments of generosity towards certain mortals but they still wouldn’t hesitate to destroy them the moment they pleased.
Just seeing how calypso was suffering reinforced that idea.
Of course you hadn’t been back since your mother’s disappearance, and so, you had asked Hephaestus, your grandfather,  if he could perhaps let you see her.
You were surprised that he even replied.
You had sent up an offering during dinner the last time you were at camp. You had a bowl of stew which you found taste shockingly like the stew calypso had made you every time you visited.
Your heart longed to see her again and in a desperate try, you called out to hephaestus along with the remains of your dinner.
You didn’t expect much, but the next day you found a note by your bedside table in your room in the big house.
“Dear Y/N, I have heard your request but i am afraid i can not fulfil this for you as there are too many, let’s say- associates i have that would be against the idea. I can however, pass on a message...”
And that night you burnt up a neatly enveloped letter addressed to calypso along with a piece of the cake you had for desert.
You tried to shake the malicious thoughts from your head, but how could percy not fall in love with calypso?
Annabeth caught your eyes and a sudden look of anger washed over her face, she must have seen the sadness in your eyes and you were afraid that just fuelled up her hate towards percy even more, “It’s too ridiculous, you are such are coward!” and she stormed out of the room and slammed the door behind her.
“So much for being the bravest friend she’s ever had” percy muttered and he slumped back in his seat.
He looked over at you but you couldn’t look him in the eyes without thinking about how he had probably looked at calypso with the same love and affection.
“I’ll go check if she’s alright” you announced, standing up and making your way to the door without evening checking if anyone disagreed.
You tried to make it seem like you weren’t glad to leave that room. Under different circumstances , you didn't eat to leave percy, but after the thought of him falling for calypso, it kind of made you want to get as far away from him as possible. To add to that, you had just broke down crying in front of half the camp and the fact that you were still slightly sniffingly in front of the head counsellors made you embarrassed. You hated people seeing you cry, and you had a reputation to uphold- a unbothered, elegant and level headed warrior.
But you pretty much just destroyed that by crying ugly and clinging onto percy like it was the only thing you knew.
You needed time to think, to calm down and was more than happy to go after annabeth.
As you left the room you heard the in-contented sound of objection from percy but you had already closed the door behind you.
You found annabeth pacing in front of the porch, angrily muttering to herself. You decided it was best to let her vent as you sat down on the porch steps and watched her.
She didn't acknowledge your presence but carried on with her one on one debate with herself, “How dare he suggest such an idea! it’s my quest! I should be the one suggesting ideas, and a mortal! how embarrassing...”
You couldn’t help a smile appear on your face, oh how prideful your best friend was but you did think she would never let herself live this one down.
“How does he even know it’ll work!” and she suddenly turned to you, eyes piercing through your body, “He barely knows the girl how does he know she can do it?”
You shrugged, you really had no clue, but it was the best thing you guys got.
Annabeth paused, then she let her shoulders deflate and she rubbed her forehead, “I’m sorry, I’m just angry. All the time people have been referring to me as percy’s ‘sidekick’ then i finally get my own quest and yet i complete have no idea what to do, fail and now i have percy saying he knows how to fix everything?!”
You looked sympathetically at annabeth. She hadn’t exactly explained her feeling like this before but you knew how she felt about being in percy’s shadow. You and grover had talked about it once, you both knew it would only be a little while before annabeth finally broke. And here she was, exploding.
“I know,” you said softly, as you made your way up to hug her, “but you haven’t failed yet, you’ve come this far and i’m not going to let you give up just yet”
You were worried that this did nothing to calm her down, but then you finally felt her hands come up and hug you back tightly, “You’re the best, you know that?”
you laughed, “and you know i’m right don’t you?”  and you stepped back to see the defeated look in annabeths eyes, “Percy’s merely suggesting an idea, it’s still your quest, it’s your decision”
Annabeth’s eyes focused on the horizon, “Yeah, i guess” she said quietly, but you knew it was okay. you saw the determined look in her eyes and was glad that the daughter of athena had got her spirit back.
....
That night you had agreed to sit meet with percy since you spent the majority of the day with annabeth, sitting around in your room and talking more about the labyrinth. Although halfway through you wanted to stir her away form the subject as it seemed to give her horrible flashbacks- you could imagine.
You would hate to be stuck in the ground, claustrophobic and not seeing the outside world for so long. Not to mention the dangerous monsters and traps that lurked in the tunnels.
So you brought up the conversation of what annabeth wanted to take when she went to college, that always seemed to get her excited no matter what.
She had gone off on a tangent on her love for architecture, then somehow the conversation led to the idea of the two of you going on a trip to paris and how you’d show annabeth around all your favourite places and the old school you used to go to when you were younger.
Then annabeth had fallen asleep on your bed. You decided to let her, it must’ve been a long time since she was able to relax, now knowing percy was alive, you related to the feeling.
The two of you sat by the deck, your usual place.
Now it was percy’s turn to talk about the labyrinth, he seemed more relaxed than annabeth though, his arms resting behind him as he leaned back, one situated by the small of your back causing his arm to brush against you if you shifted slightly.
He stared across the lake a sombre look in his eyes as he recited yet another adventure to you.
He told you about how he’s fought off the telkhines, it was fascinating how he had saved himself, conjuring water from his own body, you were amazed. But after that he stopped himself from talking anymore.
Because after that he’d met calypso.
You were used to sitting in comfortable silence with percy, but this, was not one of them.
“She’s lovely isn’t she?” you finally spoke up, sick of the tension that was created between you. Screw it, you thought, we both know so why don’t we just make it obvious.
You stole a glance at percy form the corner of your eyes, he was bushing.
“Chiron told me you’d figured it out” percy said quietly, “i’m sorry”
“What are you sorry for?” you asked confused, but you had a feeling where this was going.
Percy was silent for a while, his feet were now swinging violently back and forth and you could tell he was trying to calculate his words carefully.
“I- I could’ve gone back earlier, I made you all worry-”
“Percy,” You interrupted, as you turned towards him, tucking a leg underneath you, “It wasn’t your fault you ended up on ogygia, all that matters now is that you’re here and you’re alive”
You knew what percy had said was true, but you didn’t want him beating himself up over it.
“Yeah, i-i chose to come back” he said trying to avoid looking at you and staring at the lake, “i couldn’t just- leave you all behind”
Your heart clenched at his words, he had made his decision and suddenly you felt guilty for even feeling angry towards percy for even laying eyes on calypso. Now you wanted to apologise.
“Percy, I-”
“Nope, I wasn't finished,” Percy said, holding up a hand and finally facing you, his eyes looked stormy, like he was angry, but from the tone in his voice he wasn’t angry at you, but more like himself.
“ I’m to going to lie, when i was on the island i enjoyed the time i spent there; no responsibilities, no monsters, no nightmares. It was always sunny, i never had to do any chores and well, calypso was nice to me,” his voice quieted towards the end and you had to fight down the urge to feel jealous, “ but i felt guilty for enjoying it, i still do. I didn’t know why but i realised it’s because it made me feel like i was forgetting about everything i cared about back home. The camp, my parents, my friends, you”
Your heart began to beat erratically and you noticed how percy tensed up and stopped swinging his legs so that they hung still over the deck, “I uh- new york, long island, the pizza they sell at the diner near school...”
You couldn’t help but smile at his lame attempt to cover up his indirect confession for you, but to save him the embarrassment you decided not to mention it.
In that moment, you were so full of adrenaline, percy liked you, and you were certain of it.
Screw it, you thought, and began to speak. how you rashly decided you were going to confess your undying love for percy on a whim was fuelled by the feeling of regret you had about not saying anything when you thought he was dead. It’s now or never, you said to yourself but percy still wasn’t finished.
“But then i realised there were bigger things for me to worry about,” He continued, a hard look appearing on his face, “I still have a prophecy to fulfil, if i wasn’t there to help fight luke- kronos, that would be selfish of me, what would happen to all of you?”
The hard look on his face began to melt away and he turned his head towards you, eyes creased in a ghost of a smile, “I can’t let that happen, no way am i letting kronos beat the son of freaking poseidon that easily”
You let a soft laughter out, you could always count on percy’s sarcastic ass to make you smile, “no, you can’t”
Percy leaned back, looking over the lake again and allowing his legs to swing back and forth. You took this moment to look at him, taking in all the details. From the curve of his lips to the lingering streak of grey hair, you loved all of it.
And percy was right, he did have greater things to worry about, perhaps burdening him with you love confession wasn’t something to bring up at this given time.
But for now, you were just content to be in his presence.

Rise Up Prologue
Pairing: Stiles Stlinski x OC (eventual)
Warnings: Swirlies, water, mentions of death
Author’s Note: Hi, everyone! I am really excited about this. Honestly, I woke up one day and was like, what if I made a Teen Wolf PJO crossover? So, of course I had to make one. Zia already existed in the Teen Wolf universe, but I also made her exist in the PJO stories. This will cover Battle of the Labyrinth through the Heroes of Olympus, as well as seasons 3-6 of Teen Wolf. Her love interest is Stiles, which will happen eventually. Hope you enjoy!

“Hey,” I greeted, walking over to Annabeth, who was sitting by the door of the Hermes cabin, reading a book.
“Hey,” Annabeth repeated, looking up from her book.
“So, the drooling boy is on his way?” I asked, sitting next to her.
She sent me a look. “You’re never going to let me live that down, are you?”
“Nope,” I said cheerfully.
She groaned. Out of the corner of my eye, I spot Chiron leading Percy Jackson over to us, and nudge Annabeth, causing her to follow my gaze. We stood up to greet them.
“Annabeth, Zia,” Chiron said. “I have masters’ archery class at noon. Would you two take Percy from here?”
Annabeth and I nodded. “Yes, sir,” Annabeth said.
“You got it,” I added.
“Cabin eleven,” Chiron told Percy, nodding toward the building. “Make yourself at home.”
With that, he left, and Percy turned to Annabeth and I, looking nervous.
“Hi,” I smiled, sticking my hand out. “Zia Banerjee.”
“Percy Jackson,” he said, shaking my hand.
“Come on, you two,” Annabeth said, waving us inside.
I stepped right inside. Percy tripped on the way in, causing some kids to snicker.
“Percy Jackson, meet cabin eleven,” Annabeth announced.
“Regular or undetermined?” A voice asked. I recognized it as Connor Stoll.
“Undetermined,” Annabeth answered, and everyone groaned.
“Now, now, campers. That’s what we’re here for.” Luke Castellan, cabin counselor and my sister’s boyfriend, stepped through the crowd. Nisha herself was right behind him. I gave my sister a little wave, and grinned, winking at me. Luke smiled at Percy. “Welcome, Percy. You can have that spot on the floor, right over there.”
“This is Luke,” Annabeth introduced. She had a slight blush. “He’s your counselor for now.”
“For now?” Percy asked.
“You’re undetermined,” Luke elaborated patiently. “They don’t know which cabin to put you in, so you’re here. Cabin eleven takes all newcomers, all visitors. Naturally, we would. Hermes, our patron, is the god of travelers.”
“And this is my sister, Nisha,” I said, gesturing to her.
“And our mom!” Another voice called out. Travis Stoll’s this time. Everyone giggled.
Percy looked confused at that, but asked instead, “How long will I be here?”
“Until you’re determined,” Nisha said.
“How long will that take?”
Most of the cabin laughed.
“We don’t know yet,” I said, and nodded toward the door. “Come on, Annabeth and I will keep giving you a tour.”
I heard Nisha quieting the kids’ laughter as the door shut behind us.
As we moved away from the cabin, Percy turned to look at me. “So you and that girl are…”
“Nisha,” I answered. “We’re full siblings. Pretty much raised me. She’s dating Luke.”
“Did you have a mom or a dad?” Percy asked.
Annabeth was quick to glare at him, but I didn’t mind the question.
“Our mom is Aphrodite,” I said cheerfully. “The gods aren’t really around enough to raise their kids. Our dad… he died two years ago. Monster attack. It’s how we got to camp.”
“I’m sorry,” Percy said softly, and I knew he was thinking about his mom. “Someone called her ‘Mom’. Is she his mom?”
I laughed, shaking my head. “That was one of the Stoll brothers. Nisha is not his mother. Nisha is nineteen, and older than most campers. She’s sort of a mix between mom and older sister for a lot of the younger campers. Since she’s the oldest Aphrodite kid at camp, she’s our senior counselor. Cabin ten, over there.” I pointed to a pink cabin a few feet away.
Percy nodded in understanding. “Are you from Long Island?”
I shook my head again. “Beacon Hills, California, but I live here full time. Most campers go back to their mortal families for the school year, but there are some, like Nisha and I, that stay year-round. We’re… homeschooled here, I guess you can say.”
“Do you miss it?” Percy asked.
I nodded, feeling sad then. “Yeah. I do. I loved it there- it was home. I had friends, did well in school, despite the learning stuff. I even skipped second grade. I think about going back all the time.” I started to finger my camp necklace, with the locket charm that held pictures that were special to me.
Percy opened his mouth to respond, but Annabeth noticed the look on my face, and said suddenly, “Let’s go see the volleyball courts.” She grabbed his arm and dragged him along with her, leaving me to follow.
“But I’ve already seen them,” Percy protested.
“Jackson, you have to do better than that,” Annabeth said.
“What?”
“I can’t believe I thought you were the one,” Annabeth muttered, and I rolled my eyes.
“Oh, don’t be dramatic,” I said.
“What’s your problem?” Percy demanded. “All I know is, I kill some bull guy-”
“Don’t talk like that!” Annabeth interrupted. “You know how many kids at this camp wish they’d had your chance?”
“To get killed?”
“To fight the Minotaur! What do you think we train for?”
Percy shook his head. “Look, if the thing I fought really was the Minotaur, the same one in the stories…”
“That’s the one,” I confirmed.
“Then there’s only one.”
“Yep.”
“And he died, like, a gajillion years ago, right? Theseus killed him in the labyrinth. So…”
“Monsters don’t die, Percy,” Annabeth said, exasperated. “They can be killed. But they don’t die.”
“Oh, thanks. That clears it up.” He rolled his eyes, and I snorted.
“They don’t have mortal souls like we do,” I elaborated. “You can eliminate them for a while, maybe a whole lifetime if you’re really lucky. But they’re primal forces. Chiron calls them archetypes. Eventually, inevitably, they will reform.”
Percy thought about that for a moment. “You mean, if I killed one, accidentally, with a sword-”
“The Fur-” Annabeth cut herself off. “I mean, your math teacher. That’s right. She’s still out there. You just made her very, very mad.”
“How did you know about Mrs. Dodds?”
“You talk in your sleep,” Annabeth stated.
“You almost called her something,” Percy noticed. “A Fury? They’re Hades’ torturers, right?”
Annabeth glanced at the ground nervously as I told Percy, “You shouldn’t call them by name, even at camp. If we absolutely have to call them anything, we call them the Kindly Ones.”
“Look, is there anything we can say without it thundering?” Percy asked. I understood what he was feeling. I felt the same way on my first official day here. “Why do I even have to stay in cabin eleven, anyway? Why is everybody so crowded together? There are plenty of empty bunks right over there.”
He pointed to the first couple of cabins, and I immediately shook my head. “You can’t just stay in any random cabin. The cabin you stay in depends on who your parent is. Nisha and I, we stay in the Aphrodite cabin because that’s who our mother is. We can’t stay in, say, the Apollo cabin because we aren’t Apollo’s children.”
“My mom is Sally Jackson,” Percy said, not quite getting it. “She works at the candy store in Grand Central Station. At least, she used to.”
I sighed. “I’m really sorry about your mom, Percy. I remember what it was like when my father died- how it still is sometimes. But that’s not what I mean. I’m talking about your other parent.”
“My dad is dead. I never knew him.”
Annabeth sighed. We’ve both had this conversation with other demigods before. “Your father’s not dead, Percy,” she said.
“How can you say that? You know him?”
“No, of course not.”
“Then how can you say-”
“Because we know you,” Annabeth countered. “You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t one of us.”
“You don’t know anything about me,” Percy said.
Annabeth raised a challenging eyebrow. “No? I bet you moved from school to school. I bet you were kicked out of a lot of them.”
“How-”
I took over. “Diagnosed with dyslexia. Probably ADHD, too. Maybe even on the autism spectrum, too. You’d be surprised how much ADHD and autism overlap. I’m all three.”
“I’m ADHD and dyslexic,” Percy confirmed. “What does that have to do with anything?”
“Grouped together, it’s almost a sure sign,” Annabeth said. “The letters float off the page when you read, right? That’s because your mind is hardwired for ancient Greek. And the ADHD- you’re impulsive, can’t sit still in the classroom. That’s your battlefield reflexes. In a real fight, they’d keep you alive. As for the attention problems, that’s because you see too much, Percy, not too little. Your senses are better than a regular mortal’s. Of course the teachers want you medicated. Most of them are monsters. They don’t want you seeing them for what they are.”
Percy looked like he was trying hard to process everything. “You sound like… you went through the same thing?”
“Most of us did,” I said. “If you weren’t like us, you couldn’t have survived the Minotaur, much less the ambrosia and nectar.”
“Ambrosia and nectar,” Percy deadpanned.
“The food and drink we gave you to make you get better,” I explained. “That stuff would kill a normal kid. It would have turned your blood to fire and your bones to sand and then you would be dead. Face it. You’re a demigod.”
Percy looked like he had a million questions, but didn’t know where to start.
Before he could figure it out, a voice called out, “Well! A newbie.”
Clarisse La Rue, head counselor of the Ares cabin, sauntered toward us. She had three of her sisters behind her, wearing matching camo jackets.
“Clarisse,” Annabeth sighed. “Why don’t you go polish your spear or something?”
“Sure, Miss Princess,” Clarisse said. “So I can run you through with it Friday night.”
“Erre es karakes!” Annabeth cursed. Go to the crows! It’s a worse curse than it sounded. “You don’t stand a chance.”
“We’ll pulverize you,” Clarisse promised, but we all knew she wouldn’t be able to go through with it. She turned to Percy. “Who’s this little runt?”
“Percy Jackson,” I said, “meet Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares.”
“Like… the war god?” Percy asked.
“You got a problem with that?” Clarisse demanded.
“No. It explains the bad smell.”
I covered my snort with a cough, but I knew this may not end well.
“We got an initiation ceremony for newbies, Prissy,” Clarisse growled.
“Percy,” he corrected.
“Whatever. Come on, I’ll show you.”
“Clarisse-” Annabeth tried.
“Stay out of it, wise girl,” Clarisse snapped.
It took everything I had not to get involved, knowing that Percy would have to be the one to prove himself. He handed Annabeth his Minotaur horn and squared up, but Clarisse grabbed him before he could do anything, dragging him by the neck toward the girls’ bathrooms.
“Like he’s ‘Big Three’ material,” Clarisse mocked. “Yeah, right. Minotaur probably fell over laughing, he was so stupid looking.”
Her friends snickered.
Annabeth and I hovered in a corner. She was watching through her fingers as I clutched my camp necklace anxiously.
Clarisse forced Percy to his knees and started pushing his head toward the toilet bowl, but he tried hard to keep his head up.
Suddenly, the pipes started to groan, and a stream of water shot out of the toilet, straight over Percy’s head and into Clarisse’s face so hard she fell right onto her butt. I would have laughed if the other toilets hadn’t exploded, as well, and even the showers, spraying everyone in the vicinity with water. Gross.
By the end, the entire bathroom was flooded, and Clarisse and her friends had been pushed out the door. Only Annabeth and I, though soaking wet, were standing in the same place. She stared at Percy in shock while I grinned. That’s when I realized that Percy was still dry. There wasn’t a drop of water on his clothes, or in his hair, or anywhere. There was a circle of dry floor around him.
He stood, shaking slightly.
“How did you…” Annabeth started, then trailed off.
Percy looked just as mystified. “I don’t know.”
The three of us stepped outside and found Clarisse and her friends sprawled on the ground, and a bunch of other campers staring at the scene. She gave Percy a look of seething hatred. “You are dead, new boy,” she said. “You are totally dead.”
“You want to gargle with toilet water again, Clarisse?” Percy said. “Close your mouth.”
Her friends held her back, dragging her with them back to cabin five.
Annabeth stared at Percy. I knew her pretty well, and even I didn’t know whether or not she was about to pummel Percy for dousing her with gross toilet water.
“What?” Percy demanded. “What are you thinking?”
“I’m thinking,” she said, “that I want you on my team for capture the flag.”
Later, after dinner, everyone headed down to the amphitheater, where the Apollo kids would lead a sing-along. The Hermes and Aphrodite cabins sat in the same area so that Nisha and Luke could sit next to each other. I sat on Nisha’s other side. My sister and her boyfriend held hands, smiling at each other as they sang songs about someone’s grandmother getting dressed for war. Percy, who was next to me, did his best to follow along. We ate too many s’mores, and laughed, and joked around.
And as much as I missed my hometown, I looked around at the campers- my family- and knew that I was home.
If I had known what would happen next, I would have enjoyed it more.

Percy is a Boiled Egg (Part One) - Percy Jackson x Reader
004. percy is a boiled egg (part one)
Tumblr media
PAIRING; Percy Jackson x Reader
REQUEST; "Are you nervous, love?"/ reader comes along in the son of Neptune quest and they fall in love
GODLY PARENT; Mars (reader is roman, ares in greek)
DATE; May 19th, 2020
WORD COUNT; 6467
WARNING; keep in mind that reader curses using food terms so you're not confused, also, because this is based so much off the book, I already have a disclaimer at the introduction part, but I just feel like it needs another one.
A/N; So, I basically wrote this whole thing in a day? Also, this is only part one because well, I needed to get something out and it's so long already. But I knew this request was going to be long so. It might be two parts, three parts, whatever. Anyway, this is not my best work but I like it. So... Also, I hope I didn't rush Percy's relationship with reader too much, especially considering they actually didn't introduce themselves. But here's the thing, I am probably going to go back and add in the war games part. (it will be in a flashback sort of thing though) I just kind of skipped over it because originally the one shot started after the war games but then I realized that the requester wanted some other things before that. So...
TRAILER; in which reader is forced to tag along on the quest.
REQUESTED BY; becca_unheart
-
Y/N was more pissed off than worried as she entered Camp Jupiter once again. It had been around two months of merely surviving on a quest, well, actually, two days of trying to complete the quest and the rest was just attempting to survive.
Her and a group of other idiotic demigods, while sprinkling in a few amazons only led to trouble. Y/N should have known that when she accepted the quest to find Jason Grace, but all she found was that the Gods had miraculously decided to stop talking to them, of course, right after their beloved Praetor left. Oh, and the only way she knew how to kill monsters was now apparently not working, despite it have continued on for millennias. But you know priorities.
"Come on, you pork chops," Y/N said as they crossed the Nile River, "I gotta give Renya the run down of the quest, and she's not gonna be happy. So I suggest you shower and get some sleep while you can."
The campers nodded and went their own way, with a chorus of thanks between them.
The walk to the Principa should have been calming, but Y/N was going to meet Renya at the Principa to tell her they had not found Jason Grace which was almost equivalent to a march of death.
But it seemed marching to her death had been too monotonous because when she got there Renya was already there gliding across the floor like an eagle about to grab it's prey. It made her stumble of her panic, she had expected Renya to be out and about, it would give Y/N some time to think about how she could try and make the situation seem better.
Fortunately, Hazel stood in front of Renya, along with a boy who looked around her age. Their time with Reyna would hopefully give her more time to think. It was odd seeing the two together, and Y/N wondered how the boy and Hazel had become acquaintances considering their age difference. Well, what she guessed was their age difference, they were facing Renya and the only thing she could point out was that he had dark hair and was tall. But boys don't usually grow until their late teens.
It wasn't until that Argentum and Aurum nuzzled against her hands did she turn her attention back to Renya.
Renya had never looked so relieved to see Y/N and it wavered her nerves for a second. But then her eyes flickered past Y/N and she saw no Jason Grace, and Y/N saw the corner of Renya's lips dip down again. "Y/N," Renya boomed, interrupting Hazel and causing both the boy and Hazel to look over at her, "It's about time you came home." Y/N opened her mouth to speak but Renya beat her to it, "We will discuss that matter later, as for now, there are more important things to discuss. Hazel take Percy outside, Y/N will join you both to Temple Hill and explain the legion. Good luck with the augury, Percy Jackson. If Octavian lets you live, perhaps we can compare notes... about your past."
Hazel and the boy, Percy Jackson, walked past her. She gave Hazel a smile, and studied Percy. He was rather cute considering his filthiness, he looked exhausted but managed to get out of Renya's wrath without collapsing. Y/N should have been impressed but all she got was an odd feeling about him, as if he was an omen, a quick warning, but she couldn't tell if it was a good one or a bad one.
The second they exited the Principa, Renya collasped in her chair, "No sign of Jason, then?"
"Nothing," Y/N replied after some hesitation, "It doesn't make sense Renya. No clues, no nothing. None of the amazons have seen him, or Lupa. It's almost as if he disappeared in thin air. But the Gods aren't talking to us, and it either has something to do with the monsters not dying or Jason disappearing... maybe even both."
Renya was quiet after her mini speech, but she didn't look shocked as if she had been expecting all of this but didn't want to admit it. Her silence made Y/N nervous. Holy Mars' chicken wings,  Camp Jupiter just made her anxious in general.
"I, um," Renya started and then cleared her throat. It was when Y/N took a step closer did she realize that her Praetor had been close to tears. Y/N didn't know what to do, in normal circumstances, she would go up and comfort Renya. But Renya wasn't just anyone, she was her Praetor and she didn't know the guidelines for this protocol. Plus, what was she supposed to say? I'm sorry that Jason disappeared right when you guys were going to become a couple, even though it's illegal and I am not supposed to know that but basically the entire camp knows.
Fortunately, Renya calmed down during Y/N's mini panic attack and picked herself up, "Keep an eye on Percy Jackson, Y/N. There is... He is... I think he has something to do with Jason missing."
Y/N raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. That boy that she just saw has something to do with Jason? What was Renya going on about? "That doesn't make sense."
"He's lost his memory, Y/N."
"And?"
Renya hesitated before breathing out a sigh and gesturing for Y/N to come closer, "I've met him before. Back when I..." she trailed off and gave Y/N a look. Back when she had been working on Circe's Island. "Ya, before I became Praetor, I met him there. He's a Gracceus, Y/N. A son of Poseidon, a son of the big three, just like Jason."
Y/N sat down her heart pounding in her ears as her mind fluttered around thousands and thousands of different possibilities. Was Percy dangerous? Had the Gods sent him here on purpose? What were they trying to pull? Was Jason okay? Where was he? Was there a Greek legion just like them? Were they trying to send them a warning by kidnapping Jason?
"So, you're saying that Percy's Greek and-" Renya startled her by clapping a hand over her mouth, she hadn't even said it that loud!
"You have to be quiet about these things, Y/N. What if Octavian found out? Or worse, Percy."
So, Percy doesn't know he is a Greek demigod, and Renya thinks that is worse than Octavian finding out and killing everyone. Makes sense, obviously.
"Ya, priorities, right?" Y/N scoffed with a roll of her eyes once Renya took her hand off her mouth. "But explain to me what you know, so we are on the same page."
"Percy Jackson is a son of Poseidon and Jason is a son of Jupiter. They are both one of the only known sons of the big three." What about Nico and Hazel, Y/N thought, but just as she was about to open her mouth to ask she closed it. Hades had always been shunned away, maybe his children didn't count? "Percy has no memory but somehow has survived for sixteen years despite the fact that he is a son of Neptune-sorry, Poseidon-and has no markings on his wrist and just recently visited Lupa. What if the Greek demigods never went extinct after the war?"
The idea was so ridiculous that Y/N started to laugh. Her hysterical laughter was more like a panic attack, but Renya just sat her down. "There's no way Renya. No way. The Greeks went extinct after the war, they don't have their own legion. Percy probably just got really lucky and Jason may have gone looking for his sister, ya know? Remember the girl, Thalia, he used to always talk about."
"But Mount Othrys, we wouldn't have been able to take down Kronos' black throne without-"
"No," Y/N snapped at her, realization dawning on her like finding the answer to a previous question on a test after reading a new question. She got up before she would dive head first into Renya's conspiracy theories. "No, there's no way. There can't be."
"Just think about it."
"Why? To stress me out more?"
"No, because what if Jason's there?"
"And if Jason has no memory of us then we are absolutely, positively screwed."
"What? Why?"
"Renya, we do not have the resources right now for a war."
"Who said they would attack us?" Renya snapped back, hurt by her friend disclosing her idea before it had really even started.
"Well, we would. Who's to say they are any different?"
"If Jason was there... I would never, could never," Renya rambled on, her arms wrapping around her stomach. For a few seconds Y/N felt guilty. She knew she would never be able to fight, hell, kill demigods. But she had to nip this bud before it bloomed. False hope never led to anything good.
"I know, but Octavian would." Renya looked up as she said that, and before Renya could mention anything about Y/N running against Octavian for Praetor she left.
-
"Who's Jason?" she heard Percy ask Hazel before they came into view. It was a nice day, the sun warmed her up nicely and she fought against the urge to just drop down on the grassy area and just sun bathe, maybe forget about life for a while. She probably would have if Jason wasn't brought up.
Y/N and Jason had somewhat gotten along. She respected him and he respected her, but Jason had always been way too serious and had seemed to bring out a sobering part of her that Y/N hadn't even realized she had.
Before Jason had decided to be a little sardine and disappear on everyone, life had been great. She had been working up the ranks and finally had been just about to become apart of the Senate when Jason decided that the fifth cohort needed a different centurion. Jason had left the day after she was appointed the second centurion of the fifth cohort, which according to Jason was an honor but Y/N never believed him.
Besides that, Renya had been her best friend before he left. But now, she didn't know where they stood, not after that fight they had about Jason the day before he left. Y/N really didn't want to become centurion of the fifth cohort, they got the worst weapons, the worst bedding and bathing times. It had been more of an insult than a honor. But Renya had just mindlessly agreed with anything he said, like a lost puppy. It was ridiculous and Renya should have known that, but then he had to go and disappear, and now, Y/N regretted that fight more than ever.
Her and Jason Grace weren't on the best terms at the moment but that didn't stop her from snapping at the boy who was causing even more problems. Why was it always boys?
"No one," Y/N spat and started walking towards Temple Hill without checking to see if they were following.
Instead of cowering away like most of the campers did, all Percy said was, "You remind me of someone."
"Well, if they are anything like me then they must hate you a lot," Y/N growled and threw her hair up in a ponytail. It was knotted and greasy from lack of hygiene, but lack of hygiene had never been one of her top priorities on her quest, on any quest for that matter.
"You remember someone?" Hazel asked, "Who?" Y/N had almost forgotten he had lost his memory. Losing memories isn't common in a demigod life, but concussions were.
"My Mom," Percy said wistfully, then turned to Y/N, "She's not who you remind me of though. I don't know who that is."
Y/N nodded and rolled her eyes, then why did he even mention his Mom, "Have you always had memories of your Mother?"
"Ya, her names Sally and I remember some brief memories of when I was young but that's about it."
"Have you had him checked for a concussion yet, Hazel?" Y/N asked.
"No-"
"Why does it even matter," Percy moped, "I'm going to die thanks to Octavian anyway."
Y/N laughed, "Don't worry about him. Everyone is just stressed, no one is going to die."
"Ya," Hazel added with a teasing smile, "Besides Octavian has a soft spot for Y/N. I think that's why Renya sent her with us."
-
Y/N had just finished roll call when she saw Hazel skid into line. Fortunately, Dakota hadn't reached the end of his list of names and Hazel had made it just in time to squeak out, "Present!" The younger girl had nectar dripping off her fingertips and she had half a mind to go ask her if everything was okay before Octavian started.
"Colors!" he shouted and the standard-bearers stepped forward. Each drenched in lion-skin and poles with each cohort's emblem. When her cohort presented their own pole, Y/N flinched from embarassment. The stupid eagle was still missing, and Y/N would be damned if entire career at the fifth cohort went by without finding it.
Despite everyone snickering about the eagleless pole, Renya carried on, "Romans!" she called. "You've probably heard about the incursion today. Two gorgons were swept into the river by this newcomer, Percy Jackson. Juno herself guided him here, and proclaimed him as a son of Neptune."
Glancing up at Percy, she found herself shocked at his modesty. He had been led to Camp by a goddess, and not just any goddess, the queen of gods herself. Then, he managed to slash two gorgons, and merely raised his hand and said, "Hi."
Something fishy was going on. She couldn't name one guy who wouldn't flaunt this feat, even Jason had been one to brag about taking down Kronos' throne during dinners.
"He seeks to join the legion," Renya continued. "What do the auguries say?"
"I have read the entrails," Octavian announced, his eyes were locked on her form and Y/N almost stumbled back in surprise. She hadn't been expecting him to be looking straight at her when he said that. Before Y/N could turn to Dakota and see if he had noticed anything odd about that encounter too, even though it probably wouldn't have done any good, Octavian remarked, "The auguries are favorable. He is qualified to serve."
The campers all shouted, "Ave!" One kid in the third court screamed it so loud that Y/N stopped glaring holes into Octavian's head to look at him. Him and his friends had only snickered.
Renya gestured for the centurions to come forward and with a sigh, Y/N took a few steps forward with a roll of her eyes. How was she supposed to take this seriously when she was stuck in the fifth cohort?
It wasn't until Renya had glared at her did Y/N start to pay attention to what was going on.
Percy shifted. "Letters? Um, no."
Octavian smirked and wrinkled his nose. She noticed him glancing at her again and she scoffed, loudly. Octavian did a double take and it seemed that this had gotten the rest of the camper's attentions too because everyone was staring at her.
"Do you have anything to say for the fifth cohort, Y/N?" Octavian asked, his smile widening when everyone started to laugh.
Y/N glanced at Renya. She sighed and then looked at Percy, then sighed again, "I don't mean to interupt, Senior Centurion," Y/N mocked, Octavian's own eyes narrowing. If there was one thing in the world that Octavian wanted, it was to be Praetor. He wasn't yet and Y/N prayed to every God and Goddess there ever was that he would never become one. "But Juno did purposely lead Percy here, and if the Queen of Gods decides to take the time out of her day to bring Percy to us... Then, I mean, what better recommendation could you really want?"
Octavian fumed when murmured agreements were heard throughout the cohorts. Y/N looked at Percy, who was looking back at her with a type of sincerity that made felt her stomach flutter. Her hand subconsciously made it's way to brush back some of her hair that was still wet from the baths, and she noticed her cheek felt warm from under her fingertips. She was just thankful that she couldn't blush. (or, if you can then, She was just hoping that everyone took her embarrassment from all the attention she had received in such a short amount of time.)
"No letters," Octavian said regretfully and Y/N's mouth dropped open, appalled, "Will any legionnaires stand for him?"
"I will!" She heard Frank from behind her, "He saved my life!"
Almost immediately, there were shouts of protest from every cohort. Renya raised her hand for silence and glared daggers at Frank, "Frank Zhang, for the second time today, I remind you that you are on probatio. Your godly parent has not claimed you yet. You're not elgible to stand for another camper until you've earned your first stripe."
But before anyone could open their mouth to stand for Percy, Hazel took over, "What Frank means is that Percy saved both our lives. I am a member of the legion. I will stand for Percy Jackson."
However, other campers started to whisper between themselves again. Hazel was barely eligible. She had only gotten her first stripe a week or two ago, and her 'act of valor' had been more of an accident than anything.
It seemed Renya realized that too because she looked at Y/N for help, and once again Y/N sighed. "I will stand for Perseus Jackson." Y/N said, quietening everyone down to silence. Twice that day Y/N had stood up for Percy, it was enough to make rumors circle around. "I am not only a full member of the legion, but also a centurion. Perseus Jackson will be in good hands, if you do not accept Hazel's then accept mine."
Over the chaos that had ensued after he speech, she thought she heard Percy say, "It's Percy, not Perseus." But Y/N couldn't bring herself to care, especially when they had decided Y/N would be most eligible to stand for him.
-
Her chest burned as she stared at the idiot in front of her. Dakota and Renya glanced at each other uneasily out of the corner of her eye but she paid them no attention, Mike Kahale was the only thing on her mind. He was rolling his eyes as if no one's lives mattered except for the legions.
"Come on, L/N," he said after no one dared to say anything, "Why don't you calm down? Have some of Dakota's pathetic kool-aid."
"Hey," Dakota remarked looking appalled, "Leave the kool-aid out of this!"
"It's bologna! Octavian obviously killed her!"
"I could do for a bologna cheese sandwich right now," Someone that sounded suspiciously like Percy said behind her.
"Ya," Dakota remarked, "Y/N, your curse words always make me hungry."
Mike took another step towards her as if to try and intimidate Y/N. Her hand trembled beside her as she fought against the urge to punch him in the face. , "Don't make assumptions, L/N. You have no clue what you are talking about."
"Well, it's remarkable that the plium belongs to the first cohort, and Octavian had managed to lose his right before this happened," Y/N hissed as she turned to look at the man himself, "Did you drop it on the floor, or no let me guess. Did one of your stuffed bears hit Gwen with the plium?"
Octavian only stared at her silently, which only fueled her anger. How could he just stand there after he killed another camper? Shaking her head, she turned to Renya who looked to be on the verge of tears.
The sick feeling in her stomach worsened, and she felt as if she was about to throw up and scream at the same time.
She felt Mike brush against her as she walked over to Renya and whispered, "We all know you are upset just because I took your place in the senate and your place as centurion in the first cohort. How does it feel to step down to the fifth cohort, Y/N? I'm sure you are happy. Afterall, you are with your pathetic greek boyfriend."
Y/N froze, how does Mike of all people know about Percy's potential past? Did he overhear Renya? Oh gods, does Octavian know? She is going to die because of her stupid decision to stand for the fish prince.
"Well, are you?"
Just as Y/N was about to tackle Mike to the ground she felt a grip on her hand. It was Percy, who looked just as shocked to be holding her hand as she did. He quickly removed it and rubbed his neck, "Uhh, Gwen, I think that's her name, ya, Gwen is alive."
A flood of relief washed over her. But it didn't make sense, and soon the grief was back just as quick. Percy had to be wrong. She was dead, they had all seen her die. The medic had announced her dead. But all Y/N could manage was a, "What?"
He nodded and Y/N looked over to see Gwen looking as if she had never been dead in the first place. Her mind raced, and suddenly Y/N felt dizzy, as if she had been the one dying. She will be, if what she thinks is true.
"Who are you," Y/N hissed and grabbed his arm bringing him closer, "Who are you really?"
Percy looked completely alarmed by her sudden closeness and he shook his head wildly, "I'd tell you if I knew, honest."
She searched his eyes as if she would find the answers in there, but found none. They looked remarkably like the ocean, probably something to do with being the son of Neptune, or Poseidon, or... either one. Ugh, she was just so confused.
"Alright," Y/N said and took her grip off his arm, then reached for his hand instead to pull him away from the crowd,"I believe you, but I'm not sure everyone else will."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means," Y/N paused for a second to get her bearings as to where the crowd ended and started, "It means that strange things are happening, Percy. And you seem to be in the middle of it. People are going to want to blame you. You show up with a goddess on your back who talks about a prophecy, defeated gorgons single handedly, and you have no memory what so ever, but still managed to live to sixteen years old without coming to camp. Plus, you are a son of Neptune which is never a good thing."
"Wait, wait," Percy said and stopped her from moving any further. But that meant they had to get very close to talk so no one else would hear. She couldn't really move to face him because of the amount of campers around, so it left Percy muttering in her ear. His breath felt so warm against her neck yet still managed to give her shivers, her hand throbbed from his contact, and she noticed he smelled distinctly of the ocean.  It all somehow made her feel very calm and dizzy at the same time.
Her heart pounded in her chest, and it such a strange and unfamiliar feeling yet Y/N managed to feel comfortable the whole time. What was he doing to her? Was it a part of his powers he had inherited from Poseidon?
Y/N didn't think so, she had only felt like this when she was near Venus' children. Only this time it seemed to draw her in more and more until she would lose her train of thought.
When Percy turned to her, she realized he had been speaking the entire time. She turned to face him (the kid that had been blocking her finally moved) but was met by a disgruntled Percy. He was looking far in the distance as if sensing something. Y/N wondered what he was doing, but she didn't have time to think about it.
A thunderous voice rolled across the field: Death loses its hold. This is only the beginning.
Campers drew weapons. Hannibal trumpeted nervously. Renya's pegasus reared, almost throwing her off. Percy's hand squeezed hers tighter, almost like an attempt to ground her, but Y/N barely registered it. The voice angered her more than she could comprehend.
"I know that voice," Percy said. He didn't sound pleased. Y/N couldn't agree more, a visit from her Father was never a enjoyable experience.
An explosion boomed throughout the camp, close enough for Y/N to feel it but far enough to not catch fire. Everyone scrambled backwards as a huge soldier stepped out from the flames.
There stood Mars, weapons and all. Y/N only glared, but he didn't seem to notice her, he never had.
As everyone stepped back, Y/N stepped forward and it was only until she felt Percy's hand yank her back that she realized what she had been doing. Maybe drawing her in was part of being a daughter of Ares. Whatever it was didn't matter because a second later Frank knelt in front of him. Y/N followed suit as many other people had started too.
"That's good," Mars said. "Kneeling is good. it's been a long time since I've visited Camp Jupiter."
Y/N noticed that her hand had slipped from Percy's. It didn't matter too much as they barely knew each other and Y/N felt more embarrassment than anything for holding his hand for that long. What bothered her the most was that Percy remained standing. He was the only one not kneeling. His sword was still in his other hand, and he glared at Mars. Y/N yanked on his shirt as if to try to remind him to kneel next to her.
"You're Ares," Percy said. "What do you want?"
Oh Gods, Y/N thought, of all the times to pick to be Greek he had to choose now? Why, oh why, did Renya choose her to take care of Percy? She was going to get blasted to bits and at the hands of her Father, it really couldn't get any worse.
Y/N wanted to do something, maybe yank Percy down or say something to excuse him, but she didn't know what.
However, instead the god grinned.
"You've got spunk, demigod," he said. "Ares is my Greek form. But to these followers, to the children of Rome, I am Mars-patron of the empire, divine Father of Romulus and Remus."
Y/N wanted to yell out, "You're my Father too! It would do you some good to remember that!" But she didn't.
"We've met," Percy said. "We... we had a fight..."
Y/N wanted to cry. She choose to risk her life to this idiot, who lacked the brains to not only pick a fight with her Father, but tempt fate to do it again?
Instead of picking a fight, Mars, Ares, whatever, scratched his chin, as if trying to recall. "I fight a lot of people. But I assure you-you've never fought me as Mars. If you had, you'd be dead. Now, kneel, as befits a child of Rome, before you test my patience."
Y/N felt herself start to nod and agree with her Father before she remembered that she was in charge of Percy.
"Percy," she whispered, hastily taking hold of his shirt, "please."
Percy glanced at her, then looked back at Ares. He clearly didn't like it, but he knelt next to her.
"Romans, lend me your ears!" He bellowed with a laugh, "I've always wanted to say that. I come from Olympus with a message. Jupiter doesn't like us communicating directly with mortals, especially nowadays, but he has allowed this exception, as you Romans have always been my special people. I'm only permitted to speak for a few minutes so listen up."
He pointed at Gwen. "That one should be dead, yet she's not. The monsters you fight no longer return to Tartarus when they are slain. Thanatos has been chained. The Doors of Death have been forced open and no one is policing them. Gaea allows our enemies to pour forth into the world of morals. Her sons the giants are mustering armies against you-armies that you will not be able to kill. You must find Thanatos and free him from the giants. Only he can reverse the tide."
An unconscious smile made it's way onto her face. A quest? This would be the perfect time for her to show her true potential to the senate and maybe finally, finally join them and achieve her dream.
Mars looked around as if in a trance, and realized everyone was still kneeling. "Oh you can get up now. Any questions?"
Renya got up slowly, "Lord Mars, we are honored."
"Beyond honored," said Octavian. "So far beyond honored-"
"Well?" Mars snapped.
"Well," Renya said, "People will stop dying, therefore Gwen returned?"
"If left unchecked," Mars said with a nod, "even mortals will eventually find it impossible to die. Can you imagine a world in which no one died-ever?"
Octavian raised his hand. "But, ah, mighty all-powerful Lord Mars, if we can't die, isn't that a good thing? If we can stay alive indefinitely-"
Y/N snickered quietly, a world without Octavian was a good one. But then she realized what she had thought, and mentally smacked herself a few times. She would never with death upon anyone, not even Octavian and his creepy staring.
"Don't be foolish, boy!" Mars bellowed. "Endless slaughter with no conclusion? Carnage without any point? Enemies that rise again and again and can never be killed? Is that what you want?"
"You're the god of war," Percy spoke up. "Don't you want endless carnage?"
Y/N's eyes widened and she almost wanted to smack Percy on the back of the head. Again, Y/N waited for the god to strike both of them down, but Mars just grinned like they were two old buddies talking trash.
"Insolent, aren't you? Perhaps I have fought you before. I can understand why I'd want to kill you." Ya, Y/N could understand too. Absolute idiot. "I'm the god of Rome, child. I am the god of military might used for a righteous cause. I protect the legions. I am happy to crush my enemies underfoot, but I don't fight without a reason. I don't want war without end. You will discover this. You will serve me."
"Not likely," Percy said.
Y/N finally found he voice again and scoffed, "Did you not just hear anything he said before the last comment?" Percy turned towards her blankly, "Boys!"
The god laughed, "But you know that it's not just boys, don't you, my daughter?" Y/N's breath hitched. She felt like all the blood in her body had seeped down to her feet. Her Father was talking to her. "I order a quest! You will go north and find Thanatos in the land beyond the gods. You will free him and thwart the plans of the giants. Beware Gaea! Beware her son, the eldest giant! Perhaps if the quest succeeds, and you return by the Feast of Fortuna.. perhaps then your honor will be restored. If you don't succeed, there won't be any camp left to return too. So my advice is: Don't fail."
Percy moved to face her and she felt her hand go along with him before realizing she still had her grip on his shirt. She quickly let go, but Percy didn't seem to notice. He only muttered, "I still don't get what's so great about this feast for tuna."
Y/N burst out laughing and quickly placed her hands over her mouth to stop her giggles. It had been so loud that even Mars turned towards her with a well placed brow but then turned towards Octavian again. "It's feast fortuna, Percy."
"Ya, that's what I said."
"No," Y/N said shaking her head and still laughing, "It's latin for... something. I forget. But the feast is not for tuna, specifically."
"Oh," Percy nodded with a hint of a smile, "That would be cool, though."
"Ya, it would be," Y/N said agreeing, even though she really didn't think having a feast for the worst kind of fish would not be very nice. Actually, catfish would be worse.
Before she could voice her idea about catfish, campers started screaming and she realized that Ares was holding a grenade. Percy pulled Y/N behind him as if she hadn't been trained for this and he was grenade proof.
She stepped around him with a roll of her eyes, Percy smiled sheepishly. Y/N just glared at him.
"There!" Mars finished writing and threw a scroll at Octavian. When did he get a scroll? "A prophecy. You can add it to your books, engrave it on your floor, whatever."
Octavian read the scroll. It seemed he was confused because he looked up at the scroll then to Mars and back again. Y/N wasn't suprised, Mars should have given him a stuffed bear, Octavian seems to understand that more. "This says, 'Go to Alaska. Find Thanatos and free him. Come back by sundown on June twenty-fourth or die."
"Yes," Mars said. "Is that not clear?"
"Well, my lord... usually prophecies are unclear. They're wrapped in riddles. They rhyme, and..."
Mars casually popped another grenade off his belt, "Yes?"
"The prophecy is clear!" Octavian announced quickly, "A quest!"
"Good answer. Thought I was gonna have to blast you, which would have been fun, but you like my daughter, so I have to give you that or Venus will- Nevermind." He tapped his chin. "Now, what else? There was something else... Oh, yes."
Octavian turned bright red. He grabbed the scroll, and then turned around only to look at Y/N again. He sure was looking at her a lot, it was creepy.
She had been so confused about Octavian's actions that she had barely noticed Frank finally get claimed by Ares. She smiled, Frank was her brother! He was a good kid, and an even better friend to Hazel. Y/N liked him.
"My kid Frank Zhang is gonna lead the quest to free Thanatos, unless there are any objections?"
Of course, no one said a word, but she saw Hazel look even more worried. "You can take two companions. Those are the rules. One of them needs to be this kid." He pointed at Percy, "He's gonna learn some respect for Mars on this trip, or die trying. As for the second, wait, isn't there one of this dumb rules where the legionnaires who stand for him have to make sure he doesn't die, or something? I don't really remember. Whatever. Who stands for Percy?"
No, Y/N thought. Her legs turned wobbly. A sense of dread settled over her, worse than the day she had arrived at Camp for the very first time.
She knew what was coming, but she couldn't stop it. She stepped forward against her will.
Mars grinned, "Ahh, yes, my daughter. Nice job taking Kronos' throne, kid. I haven't seen that kind of bravery in a while. I remember mocking Jupiter about his son's job paling in comparison to mine. That was my kid, I said to him. Then, he got Senate instead of you. Who's Prateor?"
Renya raised her hand.
"You were there, weren't you? Unless, you were blind, that was an MVP play. You're not blind, are you?"
Renya looked like she was trying to swallow a mouse. "No, Lord Mars."
"Then make sure she gets her place on the Senate. If anyone has earned it, it's her. Not some cheap lousy job in the Fifth Cohort. We can't have Jupiter's stupid son stopping her potential because he's jealous, can we? Especially now that he's gone." he yelled at the legion, in case anyone hadn't heard which was impossible, she was pretty sure the entire world had heard. Y/N wanted to melt into the dirt and just die. He entire body trembled. She wasn't sure whether to be happy that he noticed her or die form embarrassment and mortification, that he was happy Jason was gone, all because of her.
Mars seemed to realize his mistake too late because his image flickered. Lightning cracked across the sky. "Ugh, well, he's pissed. Whatever. Y/N can be the third, or the fourth. I don't care. You can add another companion because Y/N has to be there for the sea slug. Pick whomever you want. Have one of your senate debates. You all are good at those. Until next time, Romans! Do not disappoint me!"
The second he was gone, Y/N felt a overwhelming amount of eyes on her.
"Holy cucumber sandwich."

God!Percy fic ch.4
Previous chapter: https://valdez-and-the-argo-crew.tumblr.com/post/190922626186/godpercy-fic-ch-3
Percy, once again, you might destroy Olympus! How do you feel?
I gotta be honest, now I understand why gods hate mortals.
Oh yeah and also it might be Jamie, not me, so...yay?
Chiron had gathered me, Jamie, Grover and Rachel in the Big House to discuss the new prophecy. Annabeth invited herself and was sitting on the arm of the couch next to me.
“The prophecy didn’t tell us anything about the quest, how are we supposed to know where we are going to go and what’s the whole point of the quest!” Annabeth began rambling. “I know prophecies are usually vague but still, this is just...” she shook her head.
“Hey Owl Head,” I said, nudging her arm. “This isn’t your quest, don’t get so worked up.”
Annabeth punched me in the shoulder, but still visibly relaxed. I looked over at Rachel, who was talking quietly to herself.
“Is that all we have on the prophecy? No instruction manual?” I asked. She shook her head.
“That’s it, unfortunately.” She sighed.
Chiron (now in his wheelchair) rolled up to us. “I’m afraid I know where your quest is taking you.” He looked at Grover, who looked confused and then seemed to come to some sort of realization.
“Nico’s accident...” Grover said. That got my attention quick.
“Wait what? Nico’s accident?” I said. I hadn’t heard anything on the son of Hades in a while, probably over a year.
“Who’s Nico?” Asked Jamie from the small chair beside the couch. I’d forgotten that not all of us were seasoned end-of-the-world heroes.
“Nico is the son of Hades, the god of the underworld.” Annabeth explained. “He’s a little bit of a loner so he’s not always here at camp.”
“But back to the whole ‘accident part’...” I said, turning to Grover. “Explain.”
“Well just recently, Hades had Nico go check up on the doors of death, which is what let’s monsters back into this world. But the thing is the doors are in Tartarus, so—“
“Hades let Nico go to Tartarus alone?” Annabeth interjected. “Is he crazy!”
“Some say,” Chiron said under his breath.
“Nico was able to handle himself, however as he didn’t see a few spirits slip by. Arai, I believe they were.” Grover said. “And now they’re rampant somewhere in America.”
Jamie was looking back and forth between all of us, visibly confused.
“So... Jamie and I need to return really bad spirits to the underworld? Doesn’t sound like the cause of Olympus to fall...” I shrugged.
“Don’t underestimate the Arai Percy. They’re really tricky things to deal with.” Annabeth said.
Rachel cleared her throat. “Who all is going on this quest? I mean other than those two,” she gestured at me and Jamie.
“Annabeth, obviously.” I said right away. She was the natural choice. She was smart and clever and the only person I’d want at my side while fighting spirits from Tartarus.
“Slow down. I may not be best for this. The Arai reveal ugly truths, and knowing Pride is my greatest fault, I feel like that could end disastrously.” Annabeth said. “Sorry.”
“It’s chill. What about you, G-Man?” I looked at Grover, who bleated and shook his head.
“No way, I told Juniper I wouldn’t die this summer.” He said. “Besides, I have to do Lord-of-the-Wild things.”
“Wow thanks.” I laughed. “Guess it’s just you and me Jamie.”
“I’m still confused...” Jamie mumbled.
Chiron chuckled. “I’ll fill you in. Percy it might be in your best interest to go prepare for the quest.”
The meeting adjourned and I headed back to my cabin, my head swimming with thoughts. I started to get a bit annoyed at the prophecy. Why me again. Like one time, sure, but two times is frustrating.
I sighed and flopped on my bunk. Stupid fate.
There was a knock on the door and before I could react, Annabeth let herself in.
“Wrong cabin. The smartass cabin is that way,” I smiled and pointed lazily in some random direction.
“Oh shut up fish face.” Annabeth said and sat down on the trunk beside my bed. I propped myself up so I could see her.
“What’s up?” I asked.
“Can I not just have a moment alone with my best friend?” She laughed. I examined her face and could tell she was worried.
“Seriously. What’s wrong?” I asked her. She hesitated for a second and sighed.
“It just... we’re adults now Percy. I mean, I am. You’re...immortal.” She frowned a bit, because she still has issues with that face of life. “I don’t like how you’re the subject of a prophecy again. Like I’d understand if it was Jamie, but... “ she shook her head. “I don’t even know why I’m worried, it’s not like you can die or anything.”
“I get what you mean. Frankly I’m quite annoyed too. I already went through this 10 years ago.” I said. Annabeth smiled a bit at that.
It’s funny how we find comfort in our memories of that war. We lost so much, and got hurt in more than one way but we were just so...together that it didn’t matter.
We were silent for a moment.
“I’m tired Percy.” Annabeth said. “All I’ve done in the past 10 years is train. Whether here or with the Romans, all I do is drills over and over.” She looked at me. “And even though we see each other every summer...Its all different. You haven’t been you in so long.”
I didn’t know what to say to this. I didn’t think I was any different than I had been, but the fact that Annabeth thought I was made me think.
“I’m sorry to suddenly go all emotional on you like that.” Annabeth said. “I know it’s not like me but I’ve been holding all that in for a while.”
“It’s fine, Wise Girl.” I smiled. She laughed, which instantly lightened the mood. I laughed along with her for a minute.
“I think I know how to cheer you up.” I said.
“Oh yeah? How so.” She raised an eyebrow and smiled.
“Well it’s Friday, is it not? And after dinner is—“
“—Is capture the flag!” She smiled wide. “Oh it is so on Jackson. And no cheating by being all godly or whatever.”
“Cheating? Do you really think that low of me, Chase?”
“I never know what to think of you. But just know that you don’t stand a chance.”
I threw a pillow at her. She gasped and threw one of my shoes from the floor. I rolled my eyes.
“Ow!” I whined.
“That’s what you get.” She smirked.
I crossed my arms and pouted.
“Oh grow up,” Annabeth said, rolling her eyes. “You probably still need to pack for your quest, so I’ll leave you to that. See you at dinner seaweed brain.”
And with that Percy was alone again.
Dinner came and went, and so did the game of Capture the flag. Annabeth won by catching Percy off guard and having some Demeter kid go grab the flag. Now Percy was doing his cabin chore (organizing the armor racks) with Jamie.
“You’ve been quiet, kid, are you okay?” Percy looked at the young boy.
“I’m fine,” Jamie smiled. “Its just...Chiron told me people get hurt on quests. I’m kinda scared.”
I finished racking helmets and sighed. “Yeah, people can get hurt. And it is very scary, especially because you’re only 6.” I looked down at him. He was struggling to put a chest plate back in its place. “But I promise nothing is going to hurt you on this quest, okay?”
He nodded and I helped him secure the heavy armor in its proper place. Looking around, I see that all that’s left to do is to put the shields away. Jamie trudged over and grabbed one, lifting it up and walking over to the shield rack.
“Jamie you can set that down, I got this.” I said. With a mere flick of my wrist, the shields all slid nicely into place. Jamie’s jaw dropped.
“How did you do that!”
“Let’s walk back to the cabin.” I said. “I’ll tell you on the way.”
As we walked I explained that I was a minor god. I told him the story of the titan war we fought, and when we reached our cabin, I told him how hardly anybody here knows. I figured that since he is my brother, and that we’re going on a quest tomorrow, he had the right to know.
The night flew by, and all too quickly it was time to set off on our quest. Jamie was noticeably nervous, as he was biting his nails and picking at a loose thread on his shirt. We both had backpacks with food, money (both mortal and Greek), hygiene stuff, and other quest necessities.
“You sure you’re ready?” I asked Jamie. He nodded silently.
“Don’t think you’re leaving without saying goodbye,” said Annabeth from behind. I turn around and see her and Grover have come to see us off.
“It’s lot like we’re gonna die, it’s just going to be a quick quest.” I said.
“Is it though?” Annabeth said.
“You’re uncharacteristically worrisome lately,” I said. “I miss the Annabeth that would face Hera and walk backwards into the underworld.” She rolled her eyes.
“Stay safe you two,” Grover said. “And in case you needed some direction, last I heard the Arai are in Nevada, but they’re traveling east.” He said. “They’re easy enough to track if you know what to look for in mortal headlines.”
“Thanks man.” I said and gave him a fist bump. I turned to Jamie. “Ready?”
“No. Lets go.” He said.
“Percy, one last thing...” Annabeth said. I turn around, only to be met with a kiss on the cheek. “Please stay yourself.”
I got to be honest, I had absolutely no clue what she meant by that.
Regardless, Jamie and I set out, going past the camp’s borders and officially starting our quest.

“Okay so next, there’s,” Bianca was cut off by the newcomer.
“Wait!” He exclaimed grabbing her arm before they could leave the Hades cabin.
“What?” She asked.
“There are two floors right?” Bianca nodded.
“Uh, so can you show me the upstairs?” He asked her.
“No.” She answered simply and turned around.
“Ah! Why not?” He asked and she glared at him.
“You showed me the upstairs and all the other ones!” He complained. She sighed and shook her head.
“Artemis give me strength...” she muttered, pinching the bridge of her nose, “Nico’s room is upstairs.” She explained, hoping the curious kid would drop it.
“So this kid gets a room all to himself!?” He asked, as if it affected him.
“Yes he does, he lives alone in the cabin practically year round, the only other children of Hades being myself and Hazel. I am a Lady of the Hunt and therefore spend most of my time with them. Hazel is a daughter of Pluto technically and stays either in New Rome or at Camp Jupiter most the time. Plus Nico designed the cabin himself, and if there aren’t going to be people there year-round with him, why should he have to share a space with no one?” The kid’s eyes widened and he nodded quickly. Bianca nodded back and they started off toward the arena.
“Well, she handled that better than expected...” Percy muttered from his place in Nico’s lap where they were looking through the tinted windows down to where Bianca was talking to the kid. In reality, Percy and Nico weren’t yet out to the camp. Well, Nico was out as gay, and it was rather obvious that Percy was at least queer to everyone so there wasn’t anything really bad that could happen, but no one knew the two were dating but Nico’s sisters, their significant others, and the duo’s closest friends. That list consisted of Bianca, Hazel, Tyson, Thalia, Frank, Leo, Ella, Lou Ellen, Will, Cecil, Ethan, Alabaster, Jason, Reyna, Annabeth, Piper, Grover, Rachel, and lastly, and surprisingly Clarisse. But over the more recent years, Percy had grown incredibly close to the daughter of Ares, and both were very protective of eachother nowadays. Though their frankly aggressive and borderline toxic bickering never faltered.
“Yeah, she knows the feeling of having a terrible secret though...” Nico explained and Percy glared playfully.
“A terrible secret? Gods, Di Angelo, if I’d known you hated me I wouldn’t have entered a relationship with you.” He joked and Nico pouted and pushed Percy back onto his bed so that he could lay on top of the older demigod.
“Shut up Gattino, we both know I cherish our relationship immensely.” Percy smiled and began carding his fingers through Nico’s hair to soothe him. He knew it was true. Nico had been crushing on Percy for almost 5 years by the time they figured stuff out and got together. Nico treated Percy practically as if he were a god himself, which to be fair, he was. But so was Nico.
“Of course little vampire. I’m completely aware, it’s a wonder you haven’t instructed Annabeth to construct a temple for my worship.” He joked and Nico hummed on his chest.
“Maybe that would be a good idea, si?” Nico asked and Percy made a confused noise in the back of his throat.
“A temple, on my family’s property in Italia. Just for you. And just for me.” Nico said, causing Percy to laugh.
“Neeks, I love you, but you are a broke child and Annabeth does absolutely nothing for free.” Percy pointed out and Nico raised an eyebrow.
“Principe Marino, you are dating a fellow god, of not only Heroic deaths, but also,” Nico kissed Percy’s jaw, “Fortuna di Famiglia.” Nico pointed out and Percy had to laugh at himself. Right, of course, being a son of Hades, Nico was now the god of Heroic deaths and family fortune. Meaning, because of god magic, the money left to him by his grandmama would never run out.
“Well, Neeks, if you’re so rich and prosperous, maybe we should also construct a temple for my worshipment of you.” Percy suggested as he pulled Nico up to kiss his nose.
“Mmm, no, you’re the only one worthy of worship. You’re all tall and muscular and... hot!” Nico explained then sat up, straddling his boyfriend’s waist and lookin down at him.
“Oh?” Percy asked and Nico nodded pointedly.
“First off, you’re skin. It’s gorgeous, golden, sun kissed, beautiful. It’s clear and you’re pretty. Then your hair, which I love, is all fluffy and black and soft and messy, and you always look like you’ve just rolled out of bed.” Nico explained and Percy was blushing now. Nico ignored him and continued, “And you’re eyes, god! Percy your eyes!” Nico let out a downright dirty groan, “Perseus Jackson, you have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. They’re literally the color of sea foam, and they just remind me of the beach near my home in Venice.” Nico explained. Percy’s eyes softened and his heart swelled at the happy but mournful smile that spread across Nico’s features.
“Plus, not to mention, you’re built like a Greek god.” Nico joked and reached under Percy’s shirt to grope his boyfriend’s abs. Percy flushed and shoved Nico away to fall back on the bed.
“Well, Ghost King, you’re not much different, you’ve filled out since I first met you,” Nico laughed.
“I hit puberty Blu Bello,” he pointed out, which caused Percy to laugh.
“Well, you’re a hottie now Nico. You completely skipped the awkward phase and went from cute little kid to hot teenager in 6 months. You’ve got beautiful cheekbones that are quite honestly my weakness and you’re skin is so soft, and pretty and pale, and your hair is long enough for me to play with the ends when we kiss and you’re lips are super soft because they’ve never been used by anyone but me which is a great feeling. And you’re short. Which makes me feel good about myself considering we’re surrounded by Giants at this stupid camp.” Nico laughed and shoved Percy again.
“ Rude!” He shouted then pulled Percy down to his level and kissed him, the kiss slowly becoming more heated as time passed. After a while the boys were heavily making out, only to be rudely interrupted by Will Solace.
“Ew!” He shouted and shielded his eyes while Nico reluctantly and resentfully pulled away from his boyfriend to glare over at his bestfriend.
“Can I help you Solace? I’m kinda busy,” he complained. Will huffed and glared back at him while Percy flushed dark red.
“I’m here to swipe your water-bound boyfriend because there are some younger Hephaestus kids who want to go swimming but Beckendorf, Leo, and Jake are all busy and we know that none of the others are gonna leave the forges.” Nico groaned annoyed and fell forward onto Percy’s chest, wrapping his arms and legs around his boyfriend possessively. Percy laughed at his boyfriends antics and sat up, only for Nico to whine helplessly then flip Solace off.
“F**k you Solace, watch the fire brats yourself this is my boyfriend time.” Nico whined, still koala attaching himself to Percy who was sitting up with Nico in his lap, not even attempting to push the gremlin off.
“Whatever Di Angelo, I don’t like getting wet and you know it,” Will countered, earning himself a glare from Nico.
“Fine, if you manage, watch what I do next time I know you and Jake are enjoying your rare time alone together. I’ll march right up and start talking about how incredible Percy is, and you will only be able to focus on Percy while trying to make out with your boyfriend? How’s that gonna feel asshole?” Will sighed in defeat and sent Nico his patented mom look, expecting it to work like normal, but Nico stood his ground defiantly, which Will supposed was fair. Percy really enjoyed watching the kids so he had classes basically all day, this was his two hours without classes, aka when he spent time with Nico. Will shook his head defeated and left Nico’s cabin.
“Neeks,” Percy started to argue only for Nico to turn his glare on him.
“No, absolutely not, this is the only time of day that I get to have you all to myself because all of your friends are also busy and I’m not and you aren’t, I don’t wanna go down to beach and sit a respectable amount of room apart so that you can make sure no over eager kids who can’t wait until one of your life guard hours drown.” Percy sighed in defeat and pulled Nico back down on top of him to continue to kiss him heatedly, instantly brightening the ghost king’s mood. Nico hummed into the kiss and held onto his boyfriend like he was Nico’s lifeline.
After a few minutes, the boys were forced to break, again, when there was a knock at the door. Nico groaned in annoyance but Percy nudged him away to go answer the door. Nico huffed as he pulled away and looked in the mirror to fix his hair and clothes back. The knock came again but louder and Nico groaned again, but quietly and went to answer the door. Outside there was standing a decidedly uninvited demigod that Nico didn’t recognize.
“Can I help you?” He asked annoyed and the kid looked slightly intimidated. Typically Nico was reasonably nice to the kids at camp, but when they came knocking at his cabin door while he was obviously trying to be alone it was rather annoying.
“Uh, I was looking for Percy...” the kid muttered and Nico looked at him suspiciously.
“What do you want from him?” He asked quite rudely.
“Um, we wanted to go swimming and we kinda need him in order to do so.” Nico only glared at the probably 12 year old kid and huffed.
“Percy’s on his break right now, we’re in the middle of a board game, wait for another hour and we’ll be done and he’ll be back on his life guard duty.” Nico stated and the kid only swallowed and nodded. Nico returned to a grinning Percy who was waiting for Nico to return. The smaller demigod crawled into his boyfriends lap and began kissing his neck.
“Y’know, you should really be nicer to the younger campers,” Percy reasoned and Nico grunted in annoyance.
“They should really respect that you have to take breaks.” He countered and held onto Percy’s waist possessively as he kissed down to Percy’s collar bone.
“Hate to break it to you Ghost King, but I’m kinda a big deal around here.” Nico huffed in annoyance and leaned back to glare at his boyfriend.
“I am three seconds away from shadow traveling us to my room in the underworld,” Nico declared, causing Percy to snort and lean in to steal a chaste kiss. Which Nico quickly returned, and once again, the making out began.
And, once again, it was interrupted. It had gone on a little longer and to be fair it was more lazy, sleepy kisses, not full on handsy making out, but still, Nico was comfortable and enjoying Percy time.
“Nico Di Angelo I swear I’m gonna set you on fire if you treat my campers like that ever again!” Leo marched up Nico’s stairs loudly and angrily. He was met by a sight he probably could have lived without. Nico Di Angelo curled up on Percy’s chest, peppering kisses over his face.
“Leo Valdez if you enter my cabin and interrupt my Percy time like that ever again I will raise the cesarean army on you, what do you want?” Nico was becoming genuinely angry and at this point, raising the cesarean army didn’t sound like too bad an idea.
“I heard you grilled one of my campers,” Leo said, crossing his arms.
“You’re all fire-proof, it doesn’t matter if I grill any of you, but you’re right, he came here, only minutes after Will requesting to steal my Percy during my Percy time, and during Percy’s well deserved break so give your campers something to do other than swim for another 30 minutes while I enjoy cuddling with my boyfriend,” Nico was glaring daggers into Leo’s eyes who huffed in annoyance but left the cabin hastily.
“You’re so cute when you’re angry,” Percy purred as he pet Nico’s hair.
“You’re so cute when you’re not overworked,” Nico countered turning back to Percy.
“Mm, that’s fair,” he agreed and placed a soft kiss on Nico’s lips.
“I know it is Gattino,” Nico stated fondly and leaned into Percy’s chest to get comfortable. He continue pressing kisses all over Percy’s neck, only for a knock to sound at the door, which Percy nearly laughed at. Nico growled and tightened his hold on Percy, then proceeded to shadow travel them to his room in the underworld. Percy laughed as they hit the silky sheets.
“Nico, we can’t just stay here,” Percy reasoned and Nico shook his head.
“We can, and we will until further notice, you’re resting, I’m kissing, and we’re both trying to enjoy ourselves but people keep interrupting, so this is me, preventing that.” He then summoned Ms. O’ Leary and stationed her at his door to chase any of his family members who may try to invade his room away.
“I love you...” Percy muttered softly and kissed Nico, which Nico smiled at.
“I love you too.” With that he collapsed onto Percy’s chest and continued pressing kisses to Percy’s neck, while letting himself and Percy slowly fall into a slumber.
This time they were awoken by Melinoe, one of Nico’s half sisters.
“Nicolai!” She shouted, causing him to jump out of his sleep.
“It is 11 pm you stupid boys, you two have missed dinner and the bonfire and the Harpies are out.” Nico sighed in defeat and looked down at his sleepy boyfriend, he realised he didn’t really feel guilty, Percy needed sleep, and if taking him to the underworld had brought it, so be it.
“Fine fine, we’ll go, sorry Meli!” Nico exclaimed and grabbed Percy. He quickly shadow travelled them to Nico’s cabin and they both burst out laughing before Percy gasped.
“Did she say 11!?” He asked terrified.
“Oh shit, I’m sorry Perce...” Nico mumbled, feeling awful for accidentally pulling Percy from all his responsibilities.
“Well, Neeks, it’s not your fault we fell asleep or that we kept getting interrupted, I don’t blame you, I just wish we would have remembered.” Percy muttered as he pulled Nico up to cuddle him.
“Mm, still sorry, I’ll leave you alone tomorrow,” Nico explained and curled up to Percy.
“You most certainly will not, we’re eating lunch together and you’ll be waiting in your cabin as always tomorrow when I have my break, and we’re gonna cuddle and kiss and enjoy our time, and I’m not gonna drop you to go watch kids swim at the lake. Then I’m gonna go back to my job and then we’re gonna sit down and eat dinner together then watch Disney movies together and then you’ll shadow travel me back to my cabin we’ll go to sleep and repeat the cycle,” Percy was very demanding with his list of the routine the two boys had been retaining for the past few months.
“Okay, sounds good to me,” Nico agreed, snuggling into his boyfriend’s chest.
“Everyone’s gonna be stressed out tomorrow since we weren’t here before lights out,” Percy pointed out and Nico hummed in agreement.
“You wanna go tell Chiron or Annabeth?” Nico asked and Percy hummed.
“We should probably tell Annie, Chiron’s probably with the herd.” He suggested and wrapped his arms around Nico’s shoulders so they could shadow travel. After a few seconds the demigods were in the Athena cabin next to Annabeth’s bunk.
“Annie?” Percy asked as he knelt down next to her. She stirred slightly, and her brows furrowed before her eyes slowly fluttered open. She immediately sat up and wrapped her arms around Percy’s neck in a desperate hug.
“You’re not allowed to just disappear!” She whisper-shouted as she shoved him away and pointed at Nico.
“And you aren’t either! Will was so stressed!” She was still whisper-shouting and Nico’s ears heated up in embarrassment.
“I- we didn’t mean to, I got angry because we kept on getting interrupted so the fourth time someone came knocking on my cabin door, I just got fed up and brought us to the Underworld, then we fell asleep and Melinoe woke us up at 11 and I’m sorry!” Nico was apologizing a lot. He cared about Annabeth and Grover’s opinions the most, those were Percy’s oldest and best friends, and he didn’t want them to hate him.
“It’s fine Nico, really, I understand wanting alone time, you just had all of us a bit spooked, and when Hazel found out from Leo that you were missing too she got really stressed out so Leo’s at Camp Jupiter with her and Frank and you should go let her know.
“Yeah, okay, Perce you coming with me? I feel like we’ll need to calm Leo’s nerves too.”Percy nodded hastily and took Nico’s hand, quickly leaving a peck on Annabeth’s forehead before Nico shadow travelled them to Camp Jupiter.
They landed in the living room of Jason And Reyna, and Hazel and Frank’s shared home. Percy placed a chaste kiss on Nico’s lips then started pulling him back towards Hazel and Frank’s room.
They let themselves in to find Hazel and Frank snuggling with Leo nestled between them. Nico approached the bed and lightly awoke Hazel.
“Haze?” He asked softly as she began to stir. She slowly rolled over, her eyes half lidded, before they brightened at the sight of Nico.
“Nico!” She jumped up to embrace him, also stirring Leo and Frank. Leo immediately also jumped up to hug Percy tightly. Frank just rose slowly to look at his lovers adoringly. Nico enjoyed pretending to be protective of Hazel, but her boyfriends were both so good there was really no reason to try and be protective. He trusted them.
“Don’t go disappearing like that!” Hazel exclaimed and swatted Nico’s chest.
“I’m sorry! We fell asleep at the palace!” Hazel narrowed her eyes.
“What were you doing in the underworld in the first place?” She asked annoyed. Nico huffed and rolled his eyes.
“Well, if we hadn’t been rudely interrupted by Will, then some random Hephaestus kid, then Leo, then someone else, I wouldn’t have been annoyed enough to even leave camp, but if I’m trying to enjoy my time with Percy, I want to do it without interruption so whatever!” Percy laughed because Nico was already very defensive of the subject.
“So that’s why Beckendorf couldn’t get to you guys!” Leo exclaimed and Nico rolled his eyes.
“Yes Leo, THATS why Beckendorf couldn’t get to me, because I was trying to enjoy my cherished time with Percy the same way you guys try to enjoy your time with eachother,” Leo looked down guiltily. Hazel was able to summon a Hell Hound whenever she wanted, so she could come see Leo whenever she wanted, on top of that, they were all out to the camp as Poly and in a relationship. But Percy and Nico were only out to their closest friends so it wasn’t like Nico could just go up to Percy and kiss him between their shifts or duties, they had to plan time to be together.
“Sorry...” Leo muttered and Nico huffed.
“Don’t apologize, guilt doesn’t look good on you, and I don’t really particularly mind because that was the least stressful I’ve woken up before, so hush,” Nico was being very persistent about no one feeling bad and then he was reminded that Will was one of his bestfriends, a total mother hen, and was probably worried sick. Nico groaned and fell back onto the couch in the trio’s room.
“Neeks?” Percy asked as he watched his boyfriend collapse.
“Will’s probably at Camp Halfblood having a fucking panic attack because I disappeared!” He sighed, then looked lovingly at Percy, then glanced at the others and slowly stood.
“What’s up Nico?” Hazel asked as he came and sat down again.
“You guys are all so good! Gods! Why can’t you just hate me for being annoying! For avoiding you! For grilling you! Why can’t you just resent me! If everyone hated me, peopling would be some much less stressful!” Percy laughed and scooped Nico up off the bed and placed a chaste kiss on his lips.
“Neeks, that’s what friends are all about, being worried when you aren’t where you’re supposed to be, because we love you,” Percy nuzzled Nico’s hair and the shorter demigod only huffed.
“You two are disgustingly cute,” Leo pointed out from where he was laying against Frank with the larger man’s arms around his waist. Nico rolled his eyes and glared at the son of Hephaestus.
“Oh yeah, any chance I get,” Percy confirmed easily, which made Hazel laugh then look at her brother.
“You can go,” she said, then grabbed Nico’s hand, “check in with Will, make sure the poor boy isn’t having a panic attack, then I cannot let you do anything further, you must go to sleep, no matter how good you’ve gotten at shadow traveling, doing so at great distances is not good for your health, and you will immediately shadow travel back to your own cabin, with Percy, and sleep.” Hazel was very serious about Nico’s health, maybe not as much as Will, but still serious.
“Okay, I’ve got it, love you Haze,” He hugged his sister, let Percy hug Leo, then waved them all goodbye and they were off. After a bit, they landed in Will’s cabin and once they were both stable, Nico gave up and just leaned into Percy, Hazel was right, shadow traveling between realms and across countries was really draining. Percy rubbed his back comfortingly and turned to Will’s bed, only to find it empty. He sighed and looked at Nico, who staring seriously at the bed. He sighed as well, and hugged Percy around the middle to travel the couple of meters to the Hephaestus Cabin, where no doubt Will would be.
Which of course, they were right, Will was sleeping with Jake in the Hephaestus kid’s bed, curled up to his boyfriend happily. Nico laughed at his friend but still leaned into Percy, feeling absolutely drained to the max.
“Will?” Nico whispered softly, slowly stirring Will from his sleep.
“Nico!” Will whisper shouted as he pulled the son of Hades away from his boyfriend and into a hug.
“Why do you look so tired? Have you two been fighting monsters?” Will sat up fully and pushed Nico down next to him.
“No Will!” Nico shoved Will’s worrying hands away and leaned toward Percy.
“Nico’s been shadow traveling a lot...” Percy explained and Will’s eyes narrowed.
“Really Coco?” He asked and Nico glared angrily at the stupid nickname.
“Will, really, I’m fine, I’m just tired,” he sighed loudly and made grabby hands at Percy. As much as being small sucked, having a tall boyfriend meant that he could be easily lifted up.
“Nico got a bit annoyed after four interruptions and shadow travelled us to his room in the underworld,” Percy was rubbing Nico’s back lovingly, “then we came back and I panicked and he brought us to Annie, only for her to recommend we went to see Hazel, and we did and Nico realised you’d be worried sick so we came back then you weren’t in your cabin and now we’re here.” Percy kissed the top of Nico’s head and the son of Hades sighed dreamily, leaning into his boyfriends touch like it was a life line. Will let his gaze soften at his bestfriends happiness. Nico deserves what he wanted, and Percy had been what he wanted for years.
“Well, I, as the head doctor, prescribe a good nights rest, and a full day of Percy cuddles. I’ll make up an excuse for you two, and I’ll let the others know, just stay in tomorrow, cuddle up, watch some movies, love you Neeks,” Will kisses Nico’s forehead and pushed him all the way into Percy who laughed.
“How about we get Mrs. O’Leary?” He asked and Nico nodded wildly quickly summoning the Hell Hound then giving Will a kiss on the cheek good bye and rushing out of there as fast as he could. Mrs. O’Leary brought them to Nico’s cabin Percy easily carried Nico to the half-Hades’ bed. They collapsed into it and Percy curled around Nico while Mrs. O’Leary climbed up and curled around the both of them.
——————————————————————————
Nico awoke feeling completely recharged at around noon the next day, Percy was gone, but Mrs. O’Leary was still curled around Nico, and he sighed in bliss.
“Percy?” He called, and was answered by his cabin door opening. He sat up against Mrs. O’Leary subconciously leaning into her and also covering her.
“Coco?” He heard Will call and Nico let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. In walked Will with a tray of what looked like blue cookies and a glass of pomegranate juice. Of course, his favorite juice and something personally made by Percy.
“Hey Will-I-Am,” Nico greeted, then yawned, “where’s my Sea Prince?” He asked after a few seconds and Will laughed while he set down the tray on Nico’s bedside table.
“He’s at his mom’s house, says he’s got a surprise for you there, but he should be back soon, don’t worry,” Will explained as he handed Nico the plate of cookies and the glass. Then he picked up the rag and dunked it in what looked like cold water then set it to the side. Nico looked at him wearily as he ate his cookies. Will tended to be a little overbearing luv caring at times, like acting as if exhaustion was a fever.
“Will!” Nico whined as Will pulled a thermometer out of his pocket.
“Nicolai!” Will swatted at Nico’s hands and stuffed the thermometer in his mouth.
“You will sit here and accept my mother henning because you hopped twice between realms and twice across the country and you will now accept my making sure you’re okay because exhaustion can result in fevers and sickness.” Nico sighed and laid back, letting Will dab his forehead with the wet cloth then when the thermometer beeped he pulled it out of Nico’s mouth and set it to the side.
“You’re temperature is normal,” he stated then under his breath, “for a child of Hades,” then back to normal volume, “and you may continue as I planned with a day of cuddles and relaxation. I said that you two got into a mess with Melinoe and Makaria, so you had to go to the underworld and now you’re both allowed to rest for the day,” Nico smiled at his friend as Will leaned in to press a kiss to Nico’s forehead.
“Thanks Will,” Nico said regrettably.
“Aw, any time Neeks, I love you, you’re my best friend, it’s what you deserve,” then Will stood and left while Nico fell back into his Hell Hound and turned to bury his face in her fur. He let her warmth consume him and brighten his mood even further as he slowly finished his cookies and pomegranate juice.
“Nico?” Percy called and Mrs. O’Leary lifted her head in excitement, jostling Nico.
“I’m here Percy!” Nico called back and as Percy emerged from the stairs Nico saw a broad smile on his lips.
“Okay, sorry I wasn’t here when you woke up, I have you something,” Percy held up a bag that Nico recognized from that time Annabeth and Katie had forced them to take one of the Arts and Crafts classes and they made bags with eachother. They actually enjoyed seeing and had made a few more bags together since, but this one was the first they’d made together. It was a view of the ocean against an extremely starry sky.
Nico was pulled from his thought by the smell of distinctive Italian food. His mother’s. Tears sprang to his eyes as he looked lovingly at Percy.
“Nico!?” Percy called concerned as he rushed to the bed faster, dropping the bag on the night stand and landed on the bed pulling Nico into a tight hug.
“You are the most amazing incredible awful human being I’ve ever met,” He muttered while laugh-crying into Percy’s chest. That caused Percy to let out a relieved huff of a laugh.
“Why?” He asked.
“Because you perfect boyfriend went all the way to your mom’s apartment so you could make my mom’s lasagna recipe with her.” Percy’s eyes widened and he nodded quickly.
“Of course Neeks, you were so tired last night I thought you deserved a treat, and you talk about your mom and grandma’s cooking so often I thought...” Nico knocked the air out of Percy as he tackled him into the bed and hugged him tightly while pressing a kiss to his lips. He felt Percy smile into the kiss as he wrapped his arms around Nico’s waist
“You, Perseus Jackson, are the best thing that has ever walked into my life.” He muttered against Percy’s lips causing a bright blush to rush to Percy’s cheeks.
“You, Nico Di Angelo, deserve the best,” he answered. And Nico smiled as he sat up, straddling Percy’s waist. He grabbed the bag of food and pulled it into his lap as Percy sat up as well, keeping Nico on his lap. Nico pulled out four tupperwares and a bottle of sparkling white grape juice. He smiled at the bottle then looked at Percy with an amusing smirk.
“We better be careful, if Mr. D find outs we have a bottle of “non-alcoholic wine” he’ll throw a hissy fit.” He joked and Percy smiled, pulling out two wine glasses.
“Well, it’s a good thing people have decided to leave us alone then.” He agreed and settled to pour them both a glass of juice.

Playing with Fire
(Demigod! Reader x Ultron)
Summary: you have a little run in with the Avenger’s temporary recruit
CHAPTER SIX
You, Ultron, and the Maximoff twins decided to take a small relaxing hike. Which was odd, but Ultron insisted on a brief moment of peace. You didn’t argue, you needed a break since your back was hurting. There was an unexpected shift in the air, you could sense the atmosphere stop and the water from a nearby lake rose.
“Fuck.” You cursed as a wave of tsunami was thrown at you and the group. Pietro grabbed his sister just in time to bolt away and you pushed Ultron far from the water. You were drenched in cold water and the cool air didn’t help, you shivered slightly before igniting yourself on fire to dry.
“[Y/N], I thought you were a demigod.” A voice sighed. A figure emerged and you could feel your breath clot in your throat. It was sad to say that you recognized who he was, the best swordsfighter in Camp Half Blood, second to Percy Jackson. His physique was different but there was the same stunning ocean colored eyes.
“Eldoris, surprised to see you here.” You growled. “What brings you away from Camp?”
“Well, the god Thor came to Camp, looking for a new recruit that would best against fire power.” He smirked. “Since Percy Jackson left for California, I was the only one left for that position. Now, why would you help Ultron? Do you know his plan?”
“I don’t care.”
“I think you should.”
“Shut up!” You shouted and charged with your hands ablaze. Eldoris unsheathed his sword and went for the ribs, but you easily dodged his move and managed to punch his face. Leaving a nasty burnt scar. “Now I have to call you Zuko, but I think the scar is on the wrong side.” You joked. Eldoris made no comment as he swung his sword, giving you a cut on the arm. You hissed and leaped down to kick him in the legs, making him loose balance. You grabbed his shoulders and heated your hands. Eldoris screamed in pain and turned around to kick you away. Pietro jumped in to distract the son of Poseidon. But Pietro was thrown off course when Eldoris stuck out his foot.
“Speed? Lame.” Eldoris scoffed. He pointed his sword at you. “Your siblings are very disappointed in you, [Y/N]. You’re not welcomed back to Camp. You are a disgrace to demigods!” You clenched your fist but Ultron punched him, sending Eldoris crippling to the ground.
“Are you okay?” Ultron asked. “Who is he?”
“Another demigod.” You answered. “A child of Poseidon.“
“Do you know him?”
“Yeah. The best swordsman in our Camp, other than his older brother.“ You sighed. Eldoris coughed but Wanda held him down, sending a wisp of red into his head.
“Now he won’t be able to attack for a while.” Wanda exhaled. “I had him see his worst fear.”
“Should we leave him?” You asked. “Or take him as a prisoner?”
“Kill him.” Ultron growled. You looked up at him in concern, he took your hand and bent his head down to kiss you on the forehead. “He tried to hurt you......if we get rid of him, the Avengers won’t have him as an asset. I don’t want to see you hurt.”
“Ultron, I’m okay.” You all agreed to leave him there, assuming his conscious would return long after they were gone. It took a couple of minutes to persuade Ultron not to kill Eldoris and return back to the base. You were back to welding, tinkering with Ultron’s backup bodies and a few weaponry for yourself. If you were going to see Eldoris again, might as well prepare.
“Do you two have a history?” Ultron asked, causing you to jump.
“Gods of Olympus!......no. We don’t. But our relationship to the Poseidon kids broke after Percy Jackson took Charles Beckendorf to the mission I told you about, and never made it alive. Some of us forgave him and some of us didn’t. That caused tension.”
“Do demigods kill their own?”
“Unfortunately. Like I told you, there are enemies. Camp Half Blood and Camp Jupiter used to be rivals, Greek and Roman y’know? We eventually formed an alliance but certain people didn’t like that and broke off into their own little gang. Some demigods side with the Titans during times of war since their parents might be a Titan. I would advise all of you to not interfere in my fight with Eldoris. Demigods cause an awful lot of damage.”
“So do humans.”
“True. But I’ve lost many people in my fights. I don’t want to lose anymore.”
“You’ll never lose me.” Ultron leaned in, his head dipping down to brush his lips against your cheek. You glanced up and pressed your lips to his, pulling him closer. Ultron lifted you up, your lips staying connected as your legs wrapped around him. He pushed you against a wall, deepening the kiss.
“Hey Ult—“ you recognized Wanda’s voice.
“Wha?” That would be Pietro. “See? I told you. You owe me 20.”
“No, we agreed on 15.” Wanda scoffed. You let out a laugh and your lips disconnected from his, Ultron let out a soft whine. You were back on the floor but you felt your face heat up, Wanda smirked. “So you two a thing? That’s cute. We just came in here to let you know we were going to grab lunch. What you want?”
“Hm I’m not that hungry.”
“You ate a bar for breakfast.” Pietro pointed out.
“It was a filling bar.”
“I’ll cook her something.” Ultron chimed in. You both watched the twins disappear, your stomach had betrayed you by letting out a loud growl. “A filling bar?”
“Hush.”
“[Y/N], I thought we already talked about your health.”
“Did we? I don’t recall.”
“Why are you avoiding your meals?” When you gave no answer, Ultron placed a hand under your chin, lifting your face to meet his eyes. “Please tell me.”
“I....I don’t know. I don’t have the urge to eat? It’s hard to explain, whenever I look at food, there’s no emptiness in my stomach. I feel satisfied with eating small things like a nutrition bar, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a salad, and so on.”
“At first I thought you were anorexic......I think you’re depressed.”
“Depressed? Nah.” You laughed.
“I read almost every article on depression and the effect of the person’s appetite, what you just explained to me is the basis of every article I just read.” Ultron sighed. “Do you.....please be honest, do you ever think of ending your life?”
“Ultron, everyone thinks of ending their life.” You joked.
“[Y/N].”
“Yes.....on occasions. I just thought it was normal.” You huffed. “I never knew I had depression......if it’s okay with you, I’m going to need some time alone right now.”
“Promise me you’re not going to do anything that would harm yourself.”
“I promise.” You smiled and wandered around the base, your head ready to explode with your thoughts and questions. You once found the silence to be unbearable, but now, it was reassuring. Depression? It would explain some things.......you soon found yourself on the roof, staring at the birds flying by. If only I could fly away from my problems. There was the sound of soft footsteps approaching you. “Ultron, I thought—“
“I’m not Ultron.” A new voice spoke. You turned to face someone you knew too well.
“Lady Aphrodite.” You stood up but she raised her hand to dismiss your bow. “Uh, if you don’t mind me asking, why are you here?”
“I have news for you.”
“Oh no.....you gods always pick the wrong time to deliver messages.”
“Did you wanted me to come tomorrow? Cause I doubt you would be handling the news well then.”
“Fine.”
“The first news is from me and I’m telling you this willingly. Do you recall your tracker?”
“My funky metal detector? Yes. Why? What did you do?”
“I enchanted it the minute you pressed the button. It’s not a metal detector.......it is now, a love detector. Aren’t you suspicious as to why that device can only sense Ultron? Not anything else?”
“Yeah at first, but I thought I did the math wrong.”
“No child, I helped you find your soulmate.”
“Why?”
“That plays a part with the second news, you needed to see who you are.”
“A child of Hephaestus, no more.”
“The eidolons, they called you ‘Carrier of Inferno’ did they not?”
“Yeah, only because I have fire power. How did you know about that? You sent them after me, didn’t you?”
“I admit it, I did. That’s not the point.” You scoffed. “Leo Valdez has firepower but they never called him that. Accept who you are, [Y/N].”
“But who am I?”
“You are to wield the Crown of Inferno when the time comes.”
“And when is that?”
“When you accept yourself.”
“You never make it easy, do you?”
“Why would I?” Aphrodite smiled. “I wish you luck. Oh, and if you ever think of destroying your little ‘metal detector,’ don’t. It’ll come to use in the future.”
“Okay.......” you wondered. “Wait, Lady Aphrodite—“ but she vanished.
“—I.....had a question. Great.” You grumbled as you made your way back to Ultron. “Ultron?” You peered around the corner, where he was talking to the Maximoff twins. You didn’t know what he was saying, but they nodded and returned to their rooms. You lingered in the shadows, trying to find the courage to go up to him.
“[Y/N], are you okay?”
“Yeah yeah, I’m alright.” You nodded. “There’s something I need to tell you.”
“I also have something to share with you, but let’s take this somewhere more private.”
“Eh, we’re already in a private place.”
“Okay, Sherlock.” Ultron teased as you cracked a grin. “To be serious, I don’t think you want to be standing for this news.”

TUA Percy Jackson AU
Just me having the need to combine Fandoms. These are just my very chaotic thoughts in no order. Also I might write a fic to this one day...
Note: Even though I don’t mention it for everyone specifically just where it seems to fit because this post will be really long already they all have ADHD and dyslexia because that comes with being a demigod in the Percy Jackson universe.
Luther and Five were the first of the seven to come to Camp Half Blood Hill. They are children of Hephaestus and a male engineer.
Luther spend his earlier childhood trying to impress his human father by working hard in school and trying to get as good as him but the human Dad never quiet came over suddenly having to take care of two children that suddenly showed up in front of his door with a note from the dude he had dated for a while saying that those were their biological children.
At eight years old Five decided to run away and Luther couldn’t let him go alone.
Luther has their godly father’s craftsmanship talents which he mostly uses to build his model spaceships and sometimes trying to make more functional ones he also gets pretty good at sculpturing.
Five is good at building things too of course but he’s also one of the children of Hephaestus who have pyrokinesis-powers (I know that is super rare but ssshhhhh)
While they were running away from monsters Five lost control of his fire and he accidentally burned Luther who will always have scars from this and also restricted movement in his left hand (he is still good with building but it takes him a lot longer and he sometimes needs to ask Five for help)
While he was recovering he dreamed about Hephaestus and his father showed him his deformities and tried to make it easier for his son (I know gods generally don’t care but he can relate and also Luther is a tiny eight-year-old still at that point.)
Five obviously feels immense guilt over this. He was just scared and of the monsters and wanted to burn them like he did with some of the others but instead he got his twin!
He helps Luther as good as he can though. In the beginning when Luther still had a hard time he’d cut his food for him.
And nobody, not a soul, not anyone in the whole camp would ever dare to make fun of Luther. Not when his twin is standing behind him with eyes surprisingly icy for someone with fire powers.
They will try twice to go back home to their father.
Once when they are ten and want to maybe see if it was so bad after all.
And once when they are starting highschool and want to give normal life a shot.
The first time engineer human daddy made constant remarks about Luther’s scars. Both of how bad they looked and how it made him a little more clumsy because of how badly his left hand was burned.
He also like implied that he thought Five did it intentional. That was one of the few times Luther had to comfort Five while he was crying. Though he was crying too.
That stay didn’t last more than two days and they were on a bus back to camp.
The second time their human father was nicer. He had a new boyfriend and a dog and seemed genuinely apologetic. Though after how he had behaved neither of the twins accepted those apologies.
He didn’t know how to talk to them still.
There was too much between the three of them and it seemed awkward.
In the end it was a drakon attacking all of them that made the twins decide that this wasn’t their place.
Their father told them that he’d keep their rooms always ready for them to stay when he saw them off.
There weren’t any ‘I love you’s but that dog? The dog of the new boyfriend? She was a female dog and she had puppies in the time they were there. One of those dogs really loved Five.
And Five loved him.
And that’s the story how the Hephaestus-cabin got a tiny mascot named Mr Pennycrumb.
Klaus comes to the camp a year after the twins. He’s thirteen.
His godly parent is Hermes.
His mother had a big green VW trailer when he was little. One with which they traveled through the whole country staying wherever they seemed fit.
They lived in the back cuddled together on the bed. Klaus will still say that was the best time of his life.
It was also his mothers way of trying to protect him from monster. She hoped if they kept going they wouldn’t be to easy to find.
But then she got attacked and killed by a monster anyway and Klaus was handed through the foster system where he was also declared as crazy for how he described his mother’s death.
He went to countless therapists over the years.
Until he got found by a Satyr who brought him to camp.
He quickly joined in with the pranks some of his half-siblings did.
Also he became one of the children of Hermes who smuggle in all the good forbidden stuff the campers need and desire.
He’s quiet great at stealing as well.
Somehow he always gets Luther to build things for his pranks without Luther knowing what they are for.
“What do you need a pieform with a lever system that is remote controlled for?” “Oh, you know, I just wanted to give that harpy on the tree some pie and I can’t throw that high.” “Aw. That’s so nice of you!”
The pie ends up in the face of a surprised Ares-child.
Klaus is cackling in safe distance.
Since he has no other place to go he stays in the camp year round.
Third to join was Allison, only a few months after Klaus at age 15
She’s the daughter of Aphrodite and an artist.
Her father was bewitched by Aphrodite’s beauty and he has a portrait of her.
When she was little Allison spend hours in front of that portrait just staring at her mother.
Her father never once told her about her no matter how many questions she asked only one time when he told her he didn’t like to paint humans and she asked: “What about Mom then?” He answered: “Your mother is entirely different, Allie.”
Allison got handed from school to school. The schools claiming she was manipulative and somehow always got what she wanted and them only realizing what had happened after it was done.
Her father didn’t put her into therapy though. He just ask her to try her best to stop.
Allison didn’t really understand how she was doing it though. People just did what she wanted them to.
It’s charmspeak obviously.
When she was attacked by a Cyclops in school though her father thought it was time to get her to camp so she can learn to cope with her demi-godliness
But she mostly only goes in summer and spends her schoolyear with her Dad.
When Diego joins the camp at 14 a week and a bit after Allison he’s this angry boy always starting fights with anyone around him. So naturally everyone assumes he’s just a child of Ares.
But then he gets claimed and to the surprise of everyone... he is...
The son of Apollo.
Everyone’s like “That angry dude is supposed to go in a cabin full of sunshine people??”
And Diego is a little surprised too.
But he is very good at archery as it turns out.
And dancing! Apollo might be the god of music but you gotta know your way around rhythms if you want to be good at dancing!
His human parent actually is a ballet-dancer.
After she found out she was pregnant with Diego she moved in with her good friend Grace. The two of them fell in love before Diego was born.
Yep, Diego is raised by lesbians. Because I say so.
Grace is this friendly soft Mom we know but she’s also the one to teach Diego various martial arts.
Diego’s biological Mom is this no-funny business stern mother who on the other hand very much loves her son.
She just wants him to succeed in life and with her profession she just learned that you have to be tough to succeed.
Diego ended up in the camp because both of his moms got fed up with getting attacked by various greek monsters all the time.
Well fed up is kind of the wrong word but they wanted to make sure that Diego would be able to defend himself if he was ever in danger and Grace’s teaching don’t help him anymore.
So at the start of the summer they drive him down to camp.
He likes his siblings there.
Though he is concert of one Dave Katz who spends far too much time with that one Hermes kid that can never sit still and he’s not sure if he’s good for him.
Ben comes to camp half a year after Diego with a Satyr. He’s twelve and just radiates sadness seemingly.
Since he’s staying in the Hermes-cabin for a few days before he gets claimed Klaus tries to cheer him up a little with various dumb jokes.
He doesn’t laugh once. He does however ask for some books.
It turns out that he with help of his father worked through his severe dyslexia just to read the stories his father read to him himself
His father was a marine biologist and super dork.
Little Ben had this big book about different sea species he used to look through.
He also had one about different mythologies because his Dad was also super interested in that kind of stuff and wants his son to be informed all around.
He basically had books about anything and everything. And his father tried his best to answer any question he had and the questions he couldn’t answer he’d find someone else to answer.
Anyway you probably already know that Ben’s godly parent is Athena.
Surprise!
Once he gets claimed Klaus is like a little sad cause he started to feel really protective of him while he stayed in the Hermes cabin.
But he gets to see him every day anyway so it’s all good.
They still don’t know what’s going on with him though.
The Athena Cabin and Klaus try their best to find out why he’s so sad all the time.
It comes out during the mission he, Klaus and Diego go on.
On one of his research trips Ben’s father was attacked by Cetus. Ben was also on the trip but was able to safe himself though for a while it looked like he was about to drown.
His mother saved him however with a small boat that appeared under him.
As soon as he got to land it transformed into a tiny nutshell.
Ben has it with him at all times and that’s how he saves Diego and Klaus on that mission telling them that story.
Vanya is who Ben, Klaus and Diego are going on the mission for.
She is this ten-year-old girl in an elite boarding school who for some reasons despite trying her very best always gets in trouble.
The reason is constant monster attacks.
She’s pretty upset about that. She knows her human-father expects the very best from her. And so does she! She has to be the very best!
Her father is a conductor in a high-level orchestrate and he expects his daughter to be a lot better than ordinary.
The boys bring her to camp where she shows off her violin talent.
Diego kinda hopes that she’s an Apollo kid so he can keep an eye on her. Though he’s also somewhat scared of her.
She and Five are instant friends! They sit next to each other at the camp fire listening to the dumb stories Klaus tells or the great ones Allison acts out.
She gets claimed during capture the flag where she wins the flag (with the others help)
Her godly parent is Nike.
She’s a little scared when she sees what kind of overachievers her siblings are.
Sporty kids, Kids that are great at art or acting or school.
And she’s just little Vanya with her tiny violin and she couldn’t even make first chair in her school’s orchestra.
Soon she learns however that even though her siblings are highly competitive they are deep down very sweet.
She goes back to her father after the first summer ends but pretty soon comes back.
He told her what a disappointment she was.
Five and Luther have also returned from their Dad by then and they bond over shitty parents.
Klaus is also still there to lift the mood!
And Ben! He joins in with books he read.
None of them can wait for Diego and Allison to finally join them at the end of the school year.

The next period was Lunch, so Percy and Annabeth were bound to see each other again. Even so, they were on a mission to keep their secret, so they tried avoiding each other's eyes for the beginning of lunch. However, their friends seemed to be on a mission of their own to expose their plan, whether they were aware of it or not.
At Annabeth's table, her friends were discussing her and Percy's little conversation in Greek class. At Goode, word spreads quickly when it involves Percy Jackson.
"Come on, Annabeth! What were you saying to each other?" Nora exclaimed, exasperated.
"It was nothing, and I didn't even really know what I was saying anyway. It was just a bunch of random bonus phrases you can get off the internet, ok?" Annabeth answered, looking down and playing with her food.
Her friend just stared at her with a raised eyebrow, "Annabeth Chase, the know-it-all, didn't know something? I doubt it."
Yeah...maybe playing dumb should be left to Percy. Even Annabeth was having a hard time forcing herself to act like she didn't know what she was saying last period.
"Whatever, it doesn't matter anyways. Just drop it," Annabeth ordered, letting her leader-voice drip in subconsciously.
Her friend looked a little taken aback, but another look from Annabeth silenced any protests.
"I still can't believe you even talked to Percy," Noah said, a look of fake wonder on his face, "I mean, you're just a nobody, and he's Percy Jackson."
Annabeth couldn't resist the urge to roll her eyes. Everyone thinking Percy was some kind of untouchable object was starting to get on her nerves. Sure, at camp, new campers seemed to practically worship them, but here? All they know about him is that he went missing for 8 months, came back different, and is amazing at swimming.
Mortals need to raise their standards on what's to be considered cool, that's for sure, she thought.
At the same time, Percy's friends, Mike, Jack, and Chloe were starting to interrogate their own friend. These three people were Percy's closest mortal friends, mostly because they didn't care about popularity. All they were interested in was Percy, not his status. And it was them that knew he didn't randomly have a full-fledged conversation with a stranger in another language.
"Seriously, what happened? I heard from the grapevine that you and somebody named Annabeth Chase started screaming at each other in Greek and it ended with you both getting suspended. But obviously, that can't be true because you're sitting here with us right now, so...what happened?" Jack asked.
His words seemed to silence everyone at the table, even the fake-friends. All were interested in the true story of what happened, even if it wasn't that big of a thing. Anything involving their popularity producer demanded listening-to. Or something like that.
"We just talked for a second. It wasn't that interesting," Percy tried to answer cryptically.
"But why were you talking to a complete stranger?" Chloe asked, joining-in on the conversation.
"She isn–We just finished our tests at the same time and started a little talk. I honestly can't even remember what was said," Percy said.
That was a lie. Percy remembered every word that was said, especially the end. But his friends didn't need to know that.
"Come on, man! Give us something! I'm starving for a rumor!" Mike exclaimed.
That caused Percy to glare at him and say, "Just drop it."
Mike's eyes widened in shock, and he looked like he was about to start a fight, but one look from Chloe, his girlfriend, silenced him.
Then, just like it had never happened, Percy went back to normal. He regained his signature troublemaker smirk and finished eating his lunch.
ΩΩΩ
Percy and Annabeth had separate 5th period classes, so they saw each other after another hour. The second class they shared was PE, and it was during 6th period.
As soon as the bell rang, signaling the end of 5th period, Percy was bolting towards the locker room. This was because today was the first day of the swimming unit, and everyone knows Percy is obsessed with water.
Annabeth, even if she did walk a little faster, attempted to hide her excitement. She speed-walked into the girl's locker room, grabbed her swimsuit, and changed as quickly as possible.
Unlike Percy, she had the sense to ask Lady Hecate if she could use the Mist to hide her more gruesome scars at school. That way she didn't have to explain why she had claw-marks running across her back.
By the time she was walking out of the changing room, the rest of the class had arrived, and Percy was waiting by their teacher, bouncing from foot to foot in barely-contained excitement. The sight brought an involuntary smile to reach Annabeth's lips, and she was forced to hide it before anyone caught her looking at Percy so lovingly.
She walked up to the teacher and joined them in waiting for the rest of the class to change. In an attempt to stay away from Percy's bubbly energy, Annabeth stood six or so feet away from him with a stoic expression. This was the face she wore when she was intentionally masking her emotions. It may have been a mistake using it at school, but it was a part of her, and a daughter of Athena should never be afraid of being who they are.
Once everyone had shown up, the teacher took roll and started giving instructions, "Alright class, today we're just going to be practicing basic form while doing laps around the pool. For those of you on the swim team, you can choose to practice some more advanced strokes, ok? Now, let's get a volunteer to show us a good breaststroke. Anyone?"
Percy literally jumped at the opportunity to get in the water, and before anyone knew it, he was performing a perfectly-formed breaststroke. The sight caused Annabeth to smirk and think, showoff.
Once he had finished showing off, Percy jumped out of the pool, careful to make himself wet, and walked back over to the group. He had the biggest smile on his face, and it was hard for everyone to not smile along.
"That was great, Percy! I see why they made you the captain of the team! You have a natural talent in the water!" their teacher said, not realizing how true his words were.
Annabeth and Percy couldn't help but catch each other's eye with a knowing glint in them. It was hard not to when the one person in the entire student body that actually knew the other was standing right in front of you.
Fortunately, it wasn't caught by anyone who cared to speak up. The only person who seemed to see it was Addison, and she didn't think it was necessary to put any thought into it at the time.
"Yeah. That's what a lot of people tell me," Percy said, shaking his hair out.
Little did he know, that little act made most girls in the room swoon. Percy was so effortlessly handsome, and he didn't even know it!
It would've made Annabeth laugh if she wasn't a part of the swooning. But unlike the others, she knew how to hide it. All that changed in her demeanor was her lips twitching up ever-so-slightly.
That little hair flip almost made her decide to call off the entire plan and just kiss her boyfriend. However, she was able to snap herself out of it before any rash decisions could be made.
The rest of the class was spent by Percy and the few other swimmers working on their own while the left-over students would work on their breaststroke form. Annabeth could've kept up with the swim team members, but she had no interest in doing so. The only reason she was any good was because she had trained at camp with Percy, and it felt wrong doing it with other people around. Swimming was something she did in the demigod world, and right now, she was in the mortal world. That meant that she was a nerdy new girl.
"Ok, class, go get changed. Class ends in five minutes," their teacher announced.
Everyone but the swim team members started to head to the locker rooms to take their showers, dry off, and change. Nobody was in any hurry because this was the last class of the day.
The swimmers stayed in their suits because they had practice right after school. They just grabbed some towels to dry off and that was it.
Annabeth was the first one to finish changing, and the bell hadn’t rung yet, so she just stood by the pool and the swim team members. They were in their own conversation, but as soon as she had walked towards them, Percy had drifted over to Annabeth. It was instinctual; he acted without thinking about it.
Percy did a lot of things that way.
Annabeth acted like she didn't notice his presence beside her, but he knew she could sense him. Demigod senses were too highly-tuned for them to not realize when someone was standing next to them. Instead of initiating the conversation, Annabeth decided that the best way to maintain their cover was to just keep staring at the water. Unfortunately, Percy didn't catch the memo.
"So...my friends keep asking me what happened in Greek," he said softly.
"Same. And it's your fault; it was your idea to race. Now there's suspicion," Annabeth said back, finally looking up at her boyfriend.
She had recently started to really appreciate the moments when she gets to look at his face head-on more. How, despite going through Tartarus, his eyes still held that happy glint. And how his mouth was always holding that troublemaker smirk. His eyes seemed to be sucking her in, and if she didn't watch herself, they would find themselves kissing without a care in the world for the people around them.
"It was so not my fault! You started it!" Percy's voice started to rise slightly.
"Quiet down! We need to keep anyone from suspecting our relationship," Annabeth reminded him.
Percy sighed, "Why do we have to do this again? I'm getting tired of waiting to kiss you until we're home."
"Remember, I promised you a reward for all your hard work tonight," Annabeth said in Ancient Greek in an attempt to keep her boyfriend from destroying all their hard work.
"Oh yeah...do I get to choose this reward?" Percy asked, not even realizing he was speaking in Ancient Greek, too.
What neither of them realized was that they were slowly starting to step closer and closer to each other in a challenging stance.
"Maybe...depends on what you want," Annabeth answered.
"I think I might have something in mind..." he said, drifting off into his imagination.
It was then that Annabeth finally realized how close the two were standing. Using her usual quick-thinking, she found a way to distract from what was happening.
Annabeth pushed Percy into the pool and stormed away.
She may be acting like she was mad, but she really wasn't. Annabeth just needed the newly-arrived rest of the class to forget about what had happened before. When she listened, Annabeth could hear people gasping and Percy sputtering in the pool. He had figured out that he needed to act like he had gotten caught by surprise and that he wasn't someone who could breathe underwater. He had also needed to focus so that he stayed wet.
The only one Annabeth's plan didn't work on was Addison, who had stayed in her spot, unmoving (unlike everyone else), and watched Annabeth exit the room with narrowed eyes. Addison may not know what was going on between Percy and Annabeth, but she did know that they knew each other, somehow.

The Princess Andromeda (3): I Sign My Own Death Warrant
chapter 1 chapter 2 read it here on ao3!
I plunged down the left hallway towards the engine room, putting on a big show of being furtive in case there were security cameras watching me or something. Everything seemed brighter and more vivid in the face of my approaching death. The tang of smoke in the air from my first grenade (gods, I hoped no one would notice that), my boots thudding against the ground as I ran, my heart pounding in my chest. I subconsciously counted every beat, knowing that they were numbered. The rest of my life would be measured in minutes, not years.
The corridors were strangely empty, and I made my way back to the galley unimpeded. If no one saw or captured me, I would have to turn back around and pretend to sneak in all over again.
Then I turned the last corner and came face to face with a tall demigod wearing an eyepatch. Ethan Nakamura, the Titan lord’s lieutenant. My hand fell to my weapon as I stepped back, pretending to be surprised. Two giants lumbered down the hallway to stand behind the enemy demigod, helping him to his feet.
“Ambush,” I gasped, drawing my sword. I considered surrendering, to save myself from a pitched fight, but Ethan might find that suspicious.
Nakamura smiled, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “Yes, we’ve known for a long time that you’d be coming.” Even though I had smelled a traitor earlier, his words still cut me deep.  Which camper would do this?  I had known all of them for years, and the thought of any turning traitor made me ache inside.
“Seize him,” Ethan ordered, drawing his own sword as the giants surged forward, crowding me back. I dodged their fists and desperately parried two of Ethan’s attacks, but I was totally outmatched. Even in a fair fight, swordplay had never been my strong suite.
Ethan lazily disarmed me with a flick of his wrist. I ducked between the giants and lunged for him, but he knocked me away with the pommel of his sword. I stumbled, the harsh fluorescent lights of the galley blurring in my vision. In a blur of movement, Ethan drew his dagger, holding it to my throat. Even though I had planned for this, a sudden frisson of fear ran down my spine.
“Let’s not do this the hard way,” he said softly. “Come quietly, and maybe I won’t kill you. You are a son of Hephaestus, yes? My lord Kronos could certainly use you.”
I drove my fist forward and punched him in the jaw, sending him reeling back before he could react. The hit bruised my knuckles in a satisfying way, but his face had it worse. Before I had a chance to flee, one of his giants was instantly on me, pinning my arms to my sides.
I seized the oppurtunity to make my lie more convincing. “Watch it,” I said, hardening my tone. “This bag is full of jars of Greek fire. They happen to be  very breakable. If you crush one, we’ll all die here.” The giant hesitated.
Ethan spat blood from his mouth. “He does not lie. The explosives were meant for the engine room. But now,” he leered, “they’ll never be set.”
I breathed an internal sigh of relief. He bought the lie hook, line, and sinker  .
Nakamura climbed to his feet, stepping closer until his face was inches from mine. “By the way,” he said conversationally, “this ship is loaded with the best mortal mercenaries. Thousands of monsters. If you try to escape, you’ll die before you’re five steps away.” I saw his hand coming and tried to dodge, but I was completely immobilized, pinned between the two giants. The blow stung the left side of my face, making my eyes water with pain and humiliation.
Ethan smiled again, baring teeth still stained with his own blood. “Now, let’s get going. I’m sure Lord Kronos will want to see you.”
The giants stripped me of my armor and utility belt. I winced—part of me had hoped they would forget. The armor was a present my brother Jake had forged for me last summer, and the utility belt was packed with handy tools like the grenades. Ethan slid my sword into an extra scabbard on his belt and shouldered my bag himself. I noted with satisfaction that he handled it carefully, flinching when the jars of peaches inside clinked together. The ruse was working out, so far.
They hadn’t taken my watch yet, but I couldn’t detonate the charges. The two giants flanked me, each holding one of my arms in a crushing grip. They would leave spectacular bruises later, if I survived that long.  Which, I remembered with a pang, I won’t.
Besides, I couldn’t set off the explosives without warning Percy first, wherever he was. There was no way I could save myself, but he still had a chance.
The route we were taking looked vaguely familiar. I frowned, wondering why we were heading for the helipad. Then, it hit me. Whoever the spy was, they must have revealed the location of our emergency rendezvous point.
Kronos wasn’t an idiot. He must have stationed his forces there, planning to ambush us. And if Percy had gone straight there like we had planned, he had almost certainly been captured like me.
A crowd of monsters had gathered by the time we emerged on deck. They hissed and jeered at me as we passed through, but their main attention seemed to be focused on something else. I followed their gaze, and my mouth went dry.
Percy Jackson was engaging the Titan lord Kronos in personal combat, like a total idiot. I wished I could live long enough to tell Annabeth and see her outraged expression.
“A poor performance, Percy Jackson. Luke tells me you were never his match at swordplay,” Kronos was saying. Had Percy been wounded? It sounded like Kronos was toying with him. My hands tightened at my sides. The giants gripped me harder, rendering me totally helpless. I hated the feeling.
“Luke had a big head,” Percy said. His voice was tight with pain. “But at least it was  his head.”
I sighed before I could stop myself, torn between groaning and cheering at the same time. What did Annabeth see in this guy? What sort of idiot purposefully goaded the Lord of Time himself?
“You’ll never get this boat to Manhattan,” Percy spat. No, he won’t, I silently agreed.
“And why would that be?” Kronos’s voice turned silky and sinister. “Perhaps you are counting on your friend with the explosives?”
The anguish on Percy’s face was obvious even from below. I wished I could spare him the pain of the situation, but at least now I had a chance to warn him.
Kronos looked down at the pool. His eyes blazed gold in Luke’s face—Luke, who’d greeted me like a friend when I arrived at camp five years ago—and I suppressed a shudder. “Nakamura!” he called.
“Success, my lord,” Ethan responded. “We found him just as we were told.” He clapped his hands, and the giants pushed me forward. I tried not to trip over my own feet, clinging to the shreds of my dignity. My heart was pounding so hard in my chest, I was surprised I wasn’t dead of cardiac arrest.
Distantly, though, a part of me wondered if they’d rehearsed this entire tableau.  No, no, no, Nakamura, I pictured Kronos saying. I will call to you after I defeat Percy Jackson. You will come forward and clap your hands after you announce your success, not before. Otherwise, the reveal happens too soon. Where is the drama in that? Despite the circumstances, I had to fight back a smile.
“NO!” Percy yelled, and the sound jerked me back to the present, which was sadly much less amusing.
I met his gaze, knowing almost for certain that he would be the last friendly demigod to see me alive. I glanced down at my right wrist, where my watch was, hoping desperately that he would understand. He just stared at me blankly, his face bloody from a dozen scratches. Oh, Zeus.
“Can we eat him now?” one of the giants was saying. I raised my eyebrows—I hadn’t known that giants could talk. Or that they were cannibals. Were humans and giants the same species?
“Soon,” Kronos told him. “Are you sure he didn’t set the explosives?”
I fought to keep my expression neutral, willing Percy to do the same. One guilty look, and the game was up.
“He was going toward the engine room, my lord,” said Ethan.  Thank Hephaestus for gullible evil subordinates. “And he told us. His bag is still full of explosives.”
Kronos hesitated. Buy the story, I prayed.
“Open his bag,” Kronos ordered. One of the giants released his hold on me, causing the other to shift his grip, holding me by the neck instead of the arm. The giant peered into the bag, grunted, and upended it. The monsters surged backwards as one, thinking that they were about to be blown into a million pieces.
A peach jar shattered when it hit the ground, spraying glass shards everywhere and splattering preserves on the deck. The other eleven rolled in all directions, clinking harmlessly against each other.
It would have been funny if I wasn’t facing imminent death.
“Did you, perhaps, send someone to ACTUALLY CHECK THE ENGINE ROOM?” Kronos roared, and Ethan staggered back and ran. I had maybe five minutes in which to detonate before he dismantled my system.
But it didn’t matter if the ruse was discovered now. It was too late for Kronos and his cruise ship. All I had to do was hit the detonator button, and everything would go KA-BOOM.
And my left hand was free, since the second giant was still going through my bag. I could detonate at any time, as long as Percy got the message. I blinked the number zero at him in Morse Code: dash, dash, dash, dash, dash.
He frowned, a silent question in his eyes. I sighed and cupped my fingers and thumb together, making a zero. Zero as in if I press this button, you have exactly zero seconds to live and you should immediately jump off the cruise ship. Hopefully he would understand what I meant.
“We’ve known you were coming for weeks,” Kronos was saying, and he dangled something in the air in front of Percy. Something that glinted silver in the moonlight.
Almost magnetically, my eyes were drawn to it. I froze in place. My knees turned to jelly. If the giant hadn’t been holding me by the neck, I would have staggered.
In Kronos’s hand was a silver charm bracelet. A silver charm bracelet with exactly one charm—a little moon. Exactly like the one Lena had been wearing today. Except it wasn’t a moon, I realized. It was a scythe—Kronos’s symbol.
The world collapsed around me, my vision tunneling until all I could see was the little bracelet glinting in Kronos’s grasp. How long had Lena had that bracelet? How long had I been blind, telling her about my upcoming missions like an idiot?
Percy had to know.
There was no time and no way to let him know.
If I mouthed Silena at him, he might not even believe me. Kronos would see, and Lena could be in danger. I realized that, even now, I couldn’t do that to her. I had to hear the entire story, from her lips. She deserved that much.
The best I could do was to wait for her in Elysium. Wait for her to join me there. Silena would die a hero—I simply had to trust in that.
Slowly, I worked up the courage to hit the button. It was harder than I thought would be, to sign my own death warrant when I very much wanted to live. But I had chosen my path, and there was no turning back now.
I met Percy’s gaze for the last time. I mouthed one word: Go. He shook his head. Loyal to the last, I thought fondly.
My left hand moved towards my right wrist, and I swallowed, hard. Hitting the button would be the last thing I ever did.
“What issss he doing? What issss that on his wrissst?” one of the dracaenae hissed suddenly.
I shut my eyes. My breath was coming in shallow gasps. How long would I have left to live after the detonation? Thirty heartbeats? Twenty?
In one violent movement, I brought my hand the rest of the way and hit the button. The watch made a pleasant  beep and flashed the word DETONATING at me.
There was a rumbling noise from deep within the ship, the floor vibrating slightly. Percy threw his sword at Kronos’s chest and shoved his way to the railing. “Goodbye and good luck,” I whispered to his back. Percy jumped, plummeting like a stone towards the sea. Hopefully the currents would take him far, far away.
The floor began to shake. Monsters were shouting, enemy demigods were screaming. They stampeded the decks, trying to get off the doomed cruise ship. It wouldn’t matter. Nothing in the blast zone, on or off the boat, would survive. How many heartbeats did I have now? Ten?
I raised my eyes to the heavens, to the bright stars twinkling overhead, my lips forming a rapid prayer to my father. Two beats left, now?
One?
The world went up in a starburst of green fire.

Part 2 of why the pjo movies shouldn’t exist, and now that they do, you should refrain from watching.
Continuation to my post before last. (Yes, I got through the rest of it, I’m surprised too, and not mentally stable)
(After Percy gets healed by the water)
If you saw my other post you know that I turned it off during the capture the flag scene, the whole movie is incredible horrible so I was wondering why that scene was even worse, so I broke it down;
Percy and Annabeth are on opposing teams.
Percy’s a better sword fighter than three people from the other team combined. (Who Luke had said to be sons of Ares)
Annabeth was the only one gaurding her flag.
Needless to say, Percy didn’t get guarding duty, like in the books.
I already mentioned Annabeth’s speach, so unlike her it’s not ok.
She’s been training for five years, but if we take her movie age, at least nine. Yet Percy is almost as good as her.
She should be using a dagger, Luke’s dagger, not a sword.
Everyone has the exact same sword, although Percy has Riptide, other than the pen feature it’s the same as everyone else’s.
Needless to mention swords are the only weapon being used.
Everyone has the exact same shield.
Annabeth and Percy are fighting and people are just watching. That’s not how capture the flag works.
^^^ No one’s trying to steal the flag, neither flag in fact, when it’s clear the blue flag (Percy’s team) is poorly guarded, if at all.
Still no Clarisse, still no electric spear.
Percy beats Annabeth in combat.
Percy just raises the flag and suddenly they won.
There was no claiming. Spoiler alert: In the whole movie.
And now, to my normal form of complaining opinion experessing.
Where are the tables?
Or the magic food??
Or the burnt offerings???
Percy’s supposed to feel alone seating at the Poseidon table.
Nymphs are suddenly horny teenage girls that throw parties I guess.
What even is supposed to be her place? They live in trees.
Grover’s suddenly also a horny teenager. You already threw away his personality a little more won’t matter I suppose.
Percy is not happy about being a hero.
Annabeth is smart enough to know that. She doesn’t think he’s all ‘victorious and got the fame up his head’
WHY WOULD HADES WANT THE LIGHTING BOLT.
Also, why would he appear in flames in the middle of dinner.
Chiron’s protective instinctives don’t exist.
Good to know the Oracle is as exsistent as the Big House.
Percy Jackson would never sneak out of camp.
Grover Underwood would never agree.
Annabeth Chase would never accompany them.
Not their 12 year old selves or however old they are supposed to be.
Luke has technology.
Luke hides bolt in shield because he just happens to know that they’re sneaking out of camp today.
He also happens to have a pair of flying shoes from his dad who he has never met.
And a magic, super convenient map. Also from his dad.
Luke Castellan is smart enough to not mention that he hates his dad in front of them. Specially Annabeth, who he knows how smart she is.
They stumble upon Aunt Em’s in plain daylight, because the map says they have to.
Oh yeah, forgot to tell you, Percy never destroyed national monuments, which never led to him getting magic pearls.
They also never go to the water park.
They never meet Ares, or Aphrodite.
We never learn about Annabeth’s phobia of spiders.
Their actual quest is getting the pearls that will get them out of the underworld, because Luke oh-so-conveniently knew exactly that they would do that.
Not Grover who fought so much to get Annabeth, Luke, and Thalia to camp. Not Annabeth, who survived on the streets when she was seven. Not even a first-quest Percy would suggest to split up. Much less agree.
Percy has a phone.
Medusa doesn’t try to trick them or anything she just straight up goes, I’mma turn ya to stone.
Apparently the temptation to look Medusa in the eyes is too much so this random woman does and turns to stone.
Medusa’s horny af.
I would make a comment on the fact that’s it’s for Annabeth, but like, other than the not-really-actually-exsisting age gap.... they’re Greek.
“Yeah, I’m just gonna seduce this girl into opening her eyes”
Percy decapitates Medusa with pretty much no problem.
Grover can drive.
Grover found a truck, with vines all over it, found the key, and knew how to drive not to mention the car actually worked.
Percy can drive.
Magic seat changing between one scene and the other.
They can afford a hotel.
They can also check in the hotel without being questioned.
They keep Medusa’s head in a sink, in the bathroom. They also got ice for it.
They keep their curtains open.
More Percy just seating underwater doing nothing.
Percy can now heal other with water.
Apparently the gods are forbidden to communicate with their kids.
Producer: Sir, here it says that Annebth likes architecture. We should mention that. Director: Have her go ‘woah’ when she sees a monument. Producer: You’re a genius.
Annabeth sneaks into the boys bathroom in the middle of the day and no one notices.
No one checks, or cleans the bathrooms at the end of the day.
Annabeth has a computer which she uses to video chat Luke.
Luke’s flying shoe gift work perfectly. And even though he said it might take “a little practice” Percy can almost master them.
Hydras can look like/poses people.
Percy. Pays. Attention. To. Chiron’s. Class.
Perseus Jackson knows that you can’t cut a Hydra’s head.
Movie Percy Jackson single handedly cuts all seven Hydra heads before they can regenerate.
Good thing only nine grew back.
Also convenient that Grover carries Medusa’s head around.
Medusa can also turn monsters to stone??? I’m not sure if that one’s canon or not.
Magic map says Lotus hotel because magic pearl ends up here.
The Lotua hotel is NOT suppose to look like... that.
Annabeth wouldn’t take food from such a sketchy place.
Grover would detect that there’s something wrong with the food at least.
That’s is not how the magic of the Lotus casino works.
Friendly reminder that Grover has no personality or emotions other than horny.
And there goes Poseidon speaking in Percy’s mind again.
There’s people chasing after Percy who we never actually learn who they are??
Percy, back to his senses, doesn’t find anything weird about this guy knowing his last name.
Car that was on display is completely functional with no protection for people to steal, and the keys are right there.
Somehow rushing out Percy grabbed the pearl that was oh-so-conveniently next to him when he got back to his senses.
Magic seat changing between one scene and the other part 2.
Part 3.
We never know where they parked the car, as far as we know it’s in the middle of a mountain.
There’s Ancient Greek written in the H of the Hollywood sing and if you read the translation aloud you get a passage to the underworld. How convenient.
Friendly remainder that Grover has no personally part... how many times has he said something again?
The entrance to the underworld is a farse.
The under is a farse.
How is that supposed to be the River Styx? How are you supposed to jump in that?
Producer: Sir, we gotta cgi a three-headed dog. Director: Too much effort, make it three big hellhounds. Producer: Your wit never fails to amaze me sir.
Persephone isn’t suppose to be down here, it’s summer.
Persephone is also horny... for Grover, because he’s a satyr.
Gotta agree with you there Grover, Hades looks like a lesser version of Mick Jagger.
The electric guitar. Seriously? You too?
Hades’ as much of an ass he is in this movie is smart enough to not just... give Percy Sally without the bolt.
Which brings me back... why would Hades ever want the bolt? You know the amount of paperwork a war would cause?
Oh look, there’s Annabeth’s dagger.
I understand that many have different points of view as to how the Hades-Persephone relationship should work but Uncle Rick wrote it so it was a happy relationship so please stop with your “he’s abusive and I look forward to getting out of here” BS you’re not even suppose to be here in the first place, it’s summer.
Grover and Persephone are horny for each other, and since they only have three pearls Grover does the ‘sacrifice’ to stay down here.
Sally, Annabeth, and Percy picture the exact same place with no communication what so ever. Not even glances or nods, nothing.
From here...
Luke has another pair of flying shoes, he goes to the Empire State Building flying.
Luke would never admit in front of Annabeth what he wants, he loves her so much. Even back then, just as a sister.
That’s not even what Luke wants.
Annabeth’s dagger is gone again, replaced by a sword.
Percy happens to have the flying shoes with him.
Percy and Luke have the same amount of sword fighting skill.
Luke takes the bolt from Percy and flies away enough for Percy to have to chase him but not enough to, idk, get out of there.
Percy does not suspect Luke -who wanted him to fail on this quest- would have done anything to the shoes.
The shoes that the first time Percy wore took him time, he can wear perfectly now with no effort what so ever. This kid is a master of the skies.
^ Which he shouldn’t be because Zeus pretty much hates him right now.
Percy uses his powers for the first time in the whole movie (not even unintentionally before) and can control them better than he could in, I dunno, the third or fourth book.
Luke throws his sword to cut to the wings in Percy’s shoes. Not really convenient his like, a foot from the roof of a building.
Luke loses his flying shoes and Percy can take them because they happen to be right next to him.
Percy flies back.
What do you mean there’s no elevator music?
Or grouchy guard?
Mount Olympus looks good, ngl.
...to here has only been nine minutes
The gods at this moment are only supposed to be 12ft tall not... 60
Everyone believes everything, it was Luke’s fault, I did nothing, save my friend the satyr
Poseidon left Percy when he was seven months old apparently. Not before he was born.
Poseidon be like “let me talk to my kid just this once” like you haven’t through out the whole movie.
Sally talks about camp half-blood like Percy’s gonna live there the rest of his life.
Gabe wasn’t petrified.
Percy didn’t send the head to Olympus.
Chiron is encouraging Percy to sneak out again wth.
Annabeth teases Percy. Yeah, I meant sexually.
Anyways, I survived, but I wanted to sum up + add some things, for both posts...
Grover’s a horny teenager with no personality.
Nymphs have ‘places’ where they can throw parties.
The movies target a completely different audience than the books.
There’s a lot of filmimg errors.
The only time Annabeth’s dagger showed up it wasn’t used.
Annabeth fights with her hair down.
Abso-fucking-lutley no one looks like they’re suppose to. NO ONE
Luke doesn’t have his scar.
Annabeth-Chiron relationship is nonexistent.
Annabeth-Luke relationship is nonexistent.
Thalia’s tree never appears.
Nothing about Annabeth’s or Luke’s backstory is ever mentioned.
Nymphs are horny teenagers.
Gabe is a completely different person. (Still an ass but, not properly.)
Persephone is horny.
Medusa’s horny.
Every female in the lotus hotel is horny.
There’s more but honestly I die a little more every time I write something.
Let this be a guide to what not to do in the new adaptation.
And again, let this not be the only visual content we get and let’s pray, please, Disney, adapt Percy Jackson.

Percy Jackson, The Avenger
Summary: Percy has an encounter with Nick Fury. A year later, he’s being called on to help protect the world… again. He’s not alone in this Avengers Initiative. A genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist; a super soldier; a green scientist; a Norse god; and two secret agents. What could go wrong?
1 2 3 4 5
This chapter has 4,205 words
6 – The Shaquille O’Neal of Lying
There were certain things Percy could live without. Quests, over-arrogant and dramatic gods and goddesses, pranks from the Hermes cabin that left him covered in peanut butter and harpy feathers... but the one thing Percy probably hated most was demigod dreams.
As soon as Percy had fallen asleep, he found himself in the last place he wanted to be—Loki’s cell. The green glass prison formed around the son of Poseidon. Across the cell from where Percy stood, Loki was sitting on the small cot. He was staring at the camera that the others had watched him from earlier.
Loki finally shifted his gaze from the camera to Percy. “What a pleasant surprise,” he said in a tone that made Percy know that this wasn’t pleasant nor a surprise. Loki spread his arms wide, gesturing to the small cell around them. “Welcome.”
Percy crossed his arms in front of him. All of a sudden, he was glad that he had fallen asleep in his clothes, instead of standing in front of Loki in his PJs. “What do you want, Loki?”
“I want to offer you a proposal.”
“Uh, sorry, but I already have a girlfriend.”
“A business proposal,” Loki stressed. “I know you want to avoid this upcoming fight. You’re not prepared. You haven’t practiced or so much as swung a sword in three years. You’re hopelessly outmatched for what’s coming. But, if you agree to work with me, then you won’t have anything to worry.”
Percy remained unmoved. “I assume this proposal isn’t free.”
“Listen carefully, for I will only offer this once,” Loki stated. “If you agree to work with me, you will lend me your forces, your armies, then I will make you powerful. You can have mortals kneeling at your feet, and all you have to do is give me command of Olympus’ armies. Together, we could control those pathetic mortals.”
The son of Poseidon remained silent for a couple seconds. His hands drifted down towards his pockets. Percy curled his hand around Riptide, ready to pull his sword out in case things went south. “I think you’re forgetting what I am. Sure, I’m the son of Poseidon, god of the sea and earthquakes, but I’m also the son of Sally Jackson. Half human, half god. You, on the other hand, are a mixture of vegetables and Ares’ sweat—nothing but plain nastiness.”
Loki’s smug smile melted away as he sneered. “You’re a fool. Letting unlimited power go for what? A family that has used you as a pawn before? For a world that would shun you if they knew what you truly were?” Percy’s hands tightened into a fist as Loki kept talking. “Join me, Perseus. Together, we can show those mortals what real power is.”
“I’d rather die protecting my family than live knowing I betrayed them.”
Loki rushed him. Percy pulled out Riptide and held the sharp blade carefully against Loki’s neck. The Norse god froze. Loki carefully eyed the blade, before raising his hands. He gave a small laugh. “Fine. When the Chitauri come, you’ll fail, and you’ll realize that you should’ve accepted my offer while you had the chance. You will die knowing that you had the chance to save yourself but threw it away.”
The edges of Percy’s vision started fading, the green cell disappearing. Just before Percy’s dream took him elsewhere, he whispered, “Go to Tartarus.”
Loki’s face disappeared and suddenly he found himself in a different place.
Space, to be exact.
A gasp escaped Percy’s mouth as he floated around. Living in Manhattan, Percy had never seen many stars. Instead, city lights lit up the night. There had been a couple times when he’d gotten the chance to get out of the city and see the stars, but none of those times could ever compete with what he was seeing now.
Hundreds upon thousands of stars surrounded Percy, larger and brighter than he had ever seen. Percy was struck by the beauty of it all. He couldn’t help but think of Bob, the titan who sacrificed himself to help Annabeth and him escape Tartarus. Bob, whose last request was to say hello to the stars.
A loud roar came from behind him. It took the demigod a couple seconds to turn around—having to move like he was swimming without water—before he could see the cause of the noise. High above him was a large spaceship, something straight out of Star Wars. Flying in and out of the ship were the equivalent of alien whales. Huge, swimming, aliens that vaguely resembled whales. In space. Oh gods.
One of the space whales let a big roar or scream. A sick feeling settled in Percy’s—not like the time he had gotten on the Cyclone after eating one too many hotdogs despite Annabeth’s warnings (that hadn’t been a pleasant experience for either of them, nor the dude that sat in front of them). That was a different sick from what Percy was feeling now. His neck was tingling, and his stomach was twisting in knots. These had to be the Chitauri that Thor had mentioned. The thought of having these creatures invade Earth, his home, didn’t sit well with the Greek demigod. Loki had to be stopped.
The dream changed again, and Percy finally found himself in a place he recognized; a large loft overlooking half of Manhattan, paint supplies scattered around on the coffee table, and a big mural on one wall that featured the cabins of Camp Half-Blood. He was in Rachel Dare’s apartment.
Rachel herself was sitting on one of the leather couches, probably an old gift from her father when she had first moved into the loft. A sketchbook sat in her lap. Percy could sense that she was frustrated with something, most likely with the picture not coming out right. The demigod had seen some of her art blocks before and they were never fun to be around.
Percy wondered if she was working on a piece for college or for one of her clients. The demigod could still remember the big fight that had occurred between Rachel and her father that had led to her taking on clients to help pay for her college after her father dropped the pay. In the months that had followed, Rachel had made a decent amount of money. Percy had seen the amount some people paid for a small painting, and it made him wish he knew how to draw past stick figures.
Out of nowhere, Rachel jerked up. Percy reached out for her when he noticed that her eyes had turned green. The son of Poseidon reeled back a little, watching as green mist started swirling around them. Rachel’s mouth opened and the haunting voice that belonged to the oracle started speaking.
It comes from day as dark as night,
After evil's rule, the final fight,
They're gone, they're broke, they come together,
Charged to protect, earthly tether,
Rolling Stone, purple reign,
All must end in blazing pain.
As soon as the prophecy was done, the green glow surrounding Rachel faded and she started swaying. Percy rushed forward to help her, but she fell safely back into her couch. Her sketchbook fell off her lap and onto the floor, landing upwards and revealing what had been plaguing Rachel.
The sketch showed a tall building that Percy didn’t completely recognize, but he would know the surrounding skyline of New York anywhere. High above the city, in the sky, was a huge hole where Percy recognized the Chitauri flooding though. Just as his blood turned to ice, the dream started fading away, pulling him back to the real world.
Percy shot up in his bed, heart racing. He scrambled out of bed, reaching for a golden drachma and heading into the bathroom to make an IM. Percy turned on the shower and let the water flow through the light. He tossed the drachma through the water, asking Fleecy to patch him through to Rachel’s home.
Rachel’s distressed face appeared a moment later. “Percy!” She cried. “Why are you—”
”I had a dream about you last night.” Percy interrupted Rachel, cutting her off. She frowned.
“Please tell meet wasn’t one of those sexy kinds of—”
“No!” Percy shouted. “No, not that kind of dream. Although I’m not sure this is much better.”
“Percy, anything is better than you cheating on Annabeth.”
“You gave a prophecy.”
Rachel’s face turned serious. “What about?”
“I think it’s about the upcoming battle with Loki.” He paused. “I also saw the sketch you drew.”
“I was actually just about to call Chiron. Show him the sketch.” She turned around to pick up her sketchbook. “I just drew this last night. It wasn’t until this morning that I recognized the building.” Rachael held up the sketch. “That’s STARK Tower. I don’t know what those things are, but it’s obviously not good. What was the prophecy?”
Percy recited the prophecy. Rachel wrote it down in the corner of the sketch, like an artist’s signature. When Percy was finished, she sat there for a moment silent. “Blazing pain? They’re broke? This doesn’t sound like a typical prophecy.”
“What are you thinking?”
Rachel frowned. “I’m not sure. I might talk it over with Ella, see if there’s anything similar to this. Something I don’t understand, ‘the final fight’? What do you think that means?”
“I don’t know.” Percy shrugged. “Most times, the meaning isn’t clear until it’s happened. The only line I’m worried about is the last one.”
“I can see why. Make sure to stay away from any fire that might cause blazing pain.” Rachel sighed. “I’m going to call Ella, compare some thoughts, ideas.”
“Got it.” Percy gave her a wave. “See you later.”
“Later,” Rachel said before waving through the rainbow, leaving Percy standing alone in the bathroom. His mind wandered to his dream conversation with Loki, and the sick feeling he’d felt earlier returned as he came to the conclusion that prophecies were worse than dreams.
\~*~/
Percy didn’t know if he was allowed in any part of the ship that wasn’t the main area and his own room, not even one of the small supply closets in the halls. Fury didn’t seem to be the sharing type. That didn’t stop the demigod from wandering the huge ship.
After talking with Rachel, Percy had found the urge to escape the confines of his room. He started walking through the vast halls, trying to let go of his thoughts for a little while. It wasn’t too long in that he’d gotten lost. Percy was sure that he’d passed the same section of doors three times now.
“Mr. Jackson.”
Fury stalked towards Percy, clearly angry and annoyed with the demigod.
“Hey Pirate,” Percy gave him a wave. “Just checking out your man-o-war. Got a bit lost. Do you have maps to hand out?”
The director sighed. “Cut the pirate lingo and come with me.”
“Aye.”
Fury didn’t even bother with a glare at Percy’s remark. Percy followed Fury through the halls as the director led him past the residential hall and the main area and eventually into a conference room, complete with a fake plant in an attempt to try and make the room look cozier.
“What’s happening?” Percy asked.
“Please take a seat, Mr. Jackson.” Fury pulled out a chair and took a seat, gesturing to one of the empty chairs around the long table. “I just have a couple questions I’d like to ask you.”
“What kind of questions?”
“SHIELD does their homework, and we do it well. But even we can’t figure out everything sometimes. We just want a little help to make sense of some things.”
Percy hesitated a second before he pulled a chair out. “What do you want to know?”
“We’ll start easy. What’s the extent of your training?”
The son of Poseidon shifted in his seat. “Uh, I can fight with a sword?” It came out more of a question, unsure if that was what Fury was looking for. “I started when I was twelve. Um, I have control over water.”
“What all can do you with water?” Fury interrupted. “I know your father is Poseidon, but just how does that work? Do you have hydrokinesis?”
“Yeah,” Percy nodded. “I can also breathe underwater and even talk to sea animals. Horses too.”
Fury frowned slightly. “Horses?”
“My dad created them out of sea foam to try and win and be the patron god of Athens. But then Athena went and invented olives and for some reason they liked that better.”
“Mr. Jackson—”
“Just call me Percy.” The demigod told the director. “My father isn’t Mr. Jackson but hearing that just sounds weird.”
“Okay, Percy, I’m curious. This is the second time I’ve seen you wear that shirt.” He pointed at Percy’s CAMP HALF-BLOOD t-shirt. “What is Camp Half-Blood?”
Percy suddenly felt uncomfortable sitting in his chair. “Nothing really. Just a camp that I’ve gone to.”
Fury leaned forward, resting his arms on the table. “Percy, I’m interested in helping everyone, keeping the world safe and protected. I need you to tell me the truth. If you want, you don’t have to answer, but if Camp Half-Blood provides a danger to anyone, I need to know.”
“No one at Camp is a danger,” Percy assured. “It’s just a safe haven for demigods; a place for them to train and not have to worry about monsters hunting them down. If you’re worried about us trying to take over the mortal world or something, don’t.”
“Okay,” Fury leaned back but kept his hands on the table. “Okay. I just want to make sure. Can we continue?” At Percy’s nod, he asked, “What are the locations to the entrances of the underworld?”
“I’m sorry?” Percy said. “You want to know what now?”
“You heard me.”
“Pass.”
Fury sighed. “Fine. I suppose you won’t tell me the location of Olympus either?”
“Gods no,” Percy snorted. “I may not be the brightest, but I don’t want a death wish. My uncle would gladly kill me before that ever happened.”
“Just needed to ask.” Fury told Percy. “As I said before, you don’t have to answer questions you don’t want to. But,” he added. “it would be better for all of us if you were more forthcoming.
“One more question and I request that you answer this one, please.” Fury said, throwing in the please as an afterthought. “Is there anything that might warrant watching? Any threats?”
Percy thought for a second. There were several things he could mention, monsters for starters, but those weren’t the big problems. “Watch out for titans and giants. Most of them are still in Tartarus, the monster prison,” Percy explained. “but they just reform and come back. I don’t know how soon they would though after the wars.”
“What wars?”
Percy opened his mouth to start explaining about the war against Kronos and the one with Gaea, but a loud beeping noise stopped him. Fury seemed to tense as he pulled a phone out of his pocket. With a quick glance, he scowled. “Stark,” the director muttered with distaste before leaving the room.
Jumping up to join him, Percy followed Fury through the halls and into a lab were Tony and Bruce were sitting. Fury stormed into the room, Percy following just a couple steps behind. Tony and Bruce looked up as they entered. Fury stood in front of Tony who seemed to be watching a computer intently and not looking at Fury. “What are you doing, Mr. Stark?” The director asked.
“Uh...kind of been wondering the same thing about you.” Tony rebutted.
“You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract.”
“We are,” Bruce interjected. “The model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile.”
“And you'll get your cube back, no muss, no fuss,” Tony promised. Percy watched the billionaire frown as the computer beeped. “What is PHASE 2?”
There was a loud thud behind Percy. Steve had set down a large gun on the table, looking pissed. “PHASE 2 is SHIELD uses the cube to make weapons. Sorry, the computer was moving a little slow.”
Fury turned towards the captain. “Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean that we're...”
“I’m sorry, Nick.” Tony interrupted Fury, turning the computer around to show what seemed to be plans on building weapons. “What, were you lying?”
“And earlier you told me you wanted to help people.” Percy scoffed.
Right at that moment, Thor and Natasha walked into the lab. Banner turned to Natasha. “Did you know about this?”
“You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor?”
“I was in Calcutta; I was pretty well removed.”
“Loki's manipulating you,” Natasha told him.
“And you've been doing what exactly?”
“You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you.”
“Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy.” Banner grabbed the computer and pointed to the weapon on the screen. “I'd like to know why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction.”
“Because of them.” Fury pointed at Thor and Percy. Percy’s eyebrows raised in shock.
“Wait, what?” Percy asked at the same time Thor asked, “Me?”
Fury sighed. “Last year, not only did earth have a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town, but also learned about the existence of immortal gods whose affairs have started countless wars since forever. We learned that, not only are we alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned.”
“My people want nothing but peace with your planet,” Thor said.
Percy stepped forward. “Mortals have gone for centuries without knowing about the existence of the Greek gods living among you and you’ve been fine. We take care of our problems.”
“But you're not the only people out there, are you? And, you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled.”
“Like you controlled the cube?” Steve asked, clearly not believing Fury.
“Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies,” Thor informed Fury. “It is the signal to all the realms that the earth is ready for a higher form of war.”
Steve frowned. “A higher form?”
“You forced our hand. We had to come up with something.” Fury tried to explain, but by that time it had all descended into chaos.
Tony argued, “Nuclear deterrent. Cause that always calms everything right down.”
“Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark?”
“I’m sure if he still made—” Steve started saying before he was interrupted by Tony.
“—Wait! Wait! Hold on! How is—”
“—weapons, Stark would be neck—”
“—this now about me?”
“—deep… I’m sorry, isn’t everything?”
“I thought humans were more evolved than this,” Thor commented.
Percy whirled on Thor. “Oh, I’m sorry, but out of all of us, who’s the one blowing up other planets?
“Did you always give your champions such mistrust?” Thor questioned Fury, ignoring Percy’s remark.
Everyone started shouting over one another. At one point, it got too hard to tell who was saying what.
“You understand that—”
“I can’t believe—”
“Are you boys really that naive? SHIELD monitors potential threats.”
“Captain America is on threat watch?”
“We all are.”
“Just a little concern, Doctor.”
“You're on that list?”
“Stark, just one more word…”
“Threatened. I feel threatened.” Tony shouted loud enough for everyone to hear.
”Cool it, tin can.” Percy shot. “They just said that everyone in this room is on that list, including you.”
“My suit isn’t tin, it’s a titanium-gold alloy.”
“You speak of control, yet you court chaos.” Thor’s voice boomed.
“It’s his M.O., isn’t it? I mean, what are we, a team?” Bruce started ranting. “No, no, no. We’re a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We’re… we’re a time-bomb.”
“You need to step away.” Fury told Banner.
Tony threw his hand on Steve’s shoulder. “Why shouldn’t the guy let off a little steam?”
“You know damn well why!” Steve pushed Tony’s hand away. “Back off!”
The two squared each other, turning face-to-face. There was a fire building in Steve’s eyes as everyone else turned to watch the showdown. “Oh, I’m starting to want you to make me.”
“Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?” Steve asked him.
Without missing a beat, Tony replied, “Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.”
Percy’s eyes bounced between the two fighting men. It was like watching a tennis match, serving the ball back and forth to each other.
“I know guys with none of that worth ten of you.” Steve took a small step forward. “Yeah, I’ve seen the footage. The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You’re not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you.”
“I think I would just cut the wire.”
Steve let out a small chuckle. “Always a way out… you know, you may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero.”
“A hero? Like you?” Tony scoffed. “You’re a laboratory experiment, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle!”
Immediately there was a change in the air as the room grew tenser. Steve’s face grew tighter and his jaw clenched. “Put on the suit, let’s go a few rounds.”
Thor laughed. “You people are so petty… and tiny.”
“As opposed to looking like a hippie surfer.”
“Yeah, this is a tee…” Banner muttered.
“Agent Romanoff,” Fury started to order. “would you escort Dr. Banner back to his...”
“Where?” Banner asked. “You rented my room.”
“The cell was just in case...”
“In case you needed to kill me, but you can't! I know! I tried!”
Everyone turned to Banner at his confession. The doctor took a second to regain some of his breath. “I got low. I didn't see an end, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out! So I moved on. I focused on helping other people. I was good, until you dragged me back into this freak show and put everyone here at risk!”
Banner was getting more and more upset. He looked at Romanoff, who for the first time that Percy had seen, actually looked unnerved. “You wanna know my secret, Agent Romanoff?” Banner asked the redhead. “You wanna know how I stay calm?”
Percy reached for Riptide as soon as the Doctor grabbed the scepter. Out of the corner of his eye, the demigod noticed Fury and Natasha reaching for their guns. “Let’s not do anything rash now,” Percy spoke. “Put the scepter down and we can all go home happy and in one piece.”
Banner looked down and noticed he was holding a glowing scepter. His grip loosened, but he didn’t drop it. Shocked, the doctor stared at the scepter in his hands.
The computer beeped, breaking the moment. Banner quickly put the scepter back on the table and made his way over to the computer. “Sorry, kids. You don’t get to see my party trick after all.”
“Located the Tesseract?”
“I can get there faster.”
“Look, all of us…”
“The Tesseract belongs on Asgard,” Thor said. “No human is a match for it.”
“That’s fine,” Percy agreed. “As long as no one else on your planet tries to use it to take our planet.”
Tony turned to leave, but Steve held out one of his hands to stop him. “You’re not going alone.”
“You gonna stop me?” Tony argued.
“Put on the suit, let's find out.”
“I'm not afraid to hit an old man.”
“This is stupid!” Percy shouted. Everyone turned towards him. “Look, none of us by ourselves can defeat Loki and whatever army he’s bringing. We can only do this if we work together.” Percy took a second to scan his eyes over the group. “I don’t care if you guys think that the others are lame, I don’t. You can butt heads later. All I care about is making sure that New York City is still standing tomorrow.”
Everyone was quiet. Steve’s head hung a little, like he was ashamed. Tony just stared at Percy, looking away when Percy made eye contact.
At that moment, Banner, who had been looking at the monitors, gasped and said “Oh, my god!”
The ship shook violently, and a big burst of fire came up from the vent underneath, throwing everyone in different directions. Percy landed hard on his back just a couple feet from where he had been standing originally. He was left winded, desperately gasping for air. The room was filled with smoke. Percy heard Steve from somewhere in the room yelling, “Put on the suit!”
The demigod pulled himself up just in time to see Tony and Steve run out of the room. Fury and Thor were still getting back up. Percy ran a quick scan of the room, not finding Natasha or Bruce.
“Styx,” Percy swore as he headed for the door.

Marshmallow Kisses
Percy was drenched to the bone. And normally, that was not a problem for the son of Poseidon. Normally, he could just dry-will himself and be done with it. But he had exhausted his powers today so there was just no way he could do that. He barely had the energy to walk home. Which might have just been why he was clumsy enough to slip just before his house and land hard on his ass. He cursed up a storm as the pain shot up and down his spine.
"Percy...? Percy, are you alright?", asked his boyfriend surprised when opening the door.
He hurried over to Percy and offered a hand. Percy glared up at him, disgruntled after the day he has had. Nico tried very hard not to smile, because despite Percy obviously being upset, he currently looked like a drowned kitten. Carefully, Nico helped his boyfriend up.
"Peachy", grumbled Percy annoyed.
"Someone is being a Grinch", snorted Nico a bit concerned.
Percy heaved a deep breath and rubbed his face, brushing the wet hair out of his face. "Sorry."
"No. Don't be sorry for not being cheerful everyday. But tell me what happened", prompted Nico. "But first of all, let's get you inside and get you warmed up, amore."
Nico was careful to maneuver Percy up the stairs and to the bathroom where he started drawing Percy a bath while the son of Poseidon got undressed. Percy sat down on the toilet seat gingerly, wincing softly. Concerned, Nico went to get him some nectar.
"Here, gattino", stated Nico gently. "Take it slow, mh? I'll be right back."
He placed a kiss on top of Percy's head before he left the bathroom. Percy looked longingly after his boyfriend, wondering where he was going. The nectar made him feel some better right away. Sighing contently, Percy got up and went to sit into their oversized tub – 'I'm moving in with the son of Poseidon. My boyfriend deserves a large tub', had been Nico's reasoning. Closing his eyes in bliss, Percy soaked up the warm water and the pomegranate scent of the bubble-bath. He startled a little when he was tapped on the shoulder. An amused and naked Nico stood next to the bathtub.
"Hold these and make some room", ordered Nico gently.
Blinking slowly, Percy turned to take the two mugs of what smelt like hot chocolate. Percy's face brightened up as he inhaled deeply and scooted forward, allowing Nico to slip in behind Percy. Once the Italian was comfortably seated, with his legs on either side of Percy, he pulled his boyfriend up against his chest. A content smile spread widely over Percy's lips as he snuggled up to the warm, comfortable, firm chest of his lover. Nico took one of the mugs from Percy.
"You made hot chocolate", whispered Percy and sniffed his mug once more.
"Of course. My boyfriend clearly had a rotten day, so he needs to be cheered up", declared Nico, gently kissing Percy's neck. "And I will never fail to be there for you, amore."
"I love you so much, Nico", groaned Percy happily, taking a slow sip from his mug.
Nico's hot chocolate was the best on the planet. Nico made it with fresh Swiss chocolate – that he usually got by shadow-traveling to Switzerland. He also put a sprinkle of cinnamon in – just enough to make it taste perfectly and not too much. As well as a spoon full of honey and a hand full of mini marshmallows that would melt beautifully into a creamy mass on top of the chocolate.
"This is gorgeous, this is delicious,y you are the best boyfriend on the planet", hummed Percy.
Percy turned enough to kiss Nico, causing the son of Hades to laugh. "You have a marshmallow-beard, Perce. It looks cute. And tastes delicious. Marshmallow kisses."
Grinning, Nico leaned in to get another kiss from Percy. Smiling fondly into the kiss, Percy relaxed some more. The warm water helped him relax and fully heal up, the ache in his lower back subsiding fully. Turning around again, Percy got more comfortable once more.
"Wanna tell me about your day now, love?", asked Nico curiously.
"The little ones at camp were so whiny because it was so warm even though Christmas is next week and then they all looked at me because I'm the all-powerful son of Poseidon and I can make it rain, so can't I regulate the temperature on that and make it snow instead? And let me tell you, making it snow is exhausting. But they were all so happy and cheerful and sweet. But then they asked if I could freeze the lake over so they can go ice-skating and I just... couldn't say no. It was just so exhausting. And I think Zeus wasn't happy with me meddling with the weather, because the storm I walked through on my way home was not my doing and I was way too exhausted to change the weather or keep myself dry. And the older campers had given me crap for making it snow because they didn't want the snow. And then the nymphs of the lake gave me crap about the skaters. It was just... really frustrating, you know? Like, I just tried to do something nice", mumbled Percy with a pout. "And to top it all off, I had to slip in front of the door."
"Poor baby", whispered Nico gently, kissing Percy's shoulder.
"It's okay now", hummed Percy contently. "I have my Nico, my bubble-bath and my hot chocolate. I'm happy. You really are the best boyfriend there is, Nico."
"I try my best", grinned Nico, placing another kiss in Percy's shoulder.
They finished their hot cocoa in peaceful silence. Just the two of them, soaking in the warmth of the bath and the warmth of each other. It was completely and utterly perfect. As Percy chased the last of the hot chocolate lingering in his mouth when he put the mug down, Percy slowly turned around. Nico raised an amused eyebrow, also putting his cup aside.
"How was your day, love?", asked Percy gently while laying down with his head resting on Nico's chest, arms around his boyfriend's neck. "Better than mine, I hope."
"Mh. Did some Christmas shopping with Hazel", replied Nico with a smile. "We still had to find the perfect gifts for our boys. But seeing as hot chocolate and cuddles are enough to make my boyfriend happy, I don't know if the gift was even necessary to buy."
"He—ey", whined Percy with a pout. "I love you and your cuddles and your cocoa, but I also demand my present! I bought yours two months ago."
Nico grinned pleased and pulled Percy into a proper kiss. "Of course, love. Have I ever missed an opportunity to shower you with gifts, Perce?"
Percy laughed amused as he straddled Nico's lap and deepened his kiss. "I know, I know. You always go overboard on the gifts. Stupid Ghost King."
"What can I say? I just love showering you in love and attention", hummed Nico unapologetic.
Percy settled down again, snuggled up to his boyfriend once more. "I know. I love you."

Hi!! I loved your Harry Potter au for Wanna one and if you're familiar with the Percy Jackson series (most ppl aren't so I wouldn't be surprised tbh), could you do w1 as demi-gods? Like how they got to camp, their godly parent, camp life etc
omg no percy jackson used to be my life when i was in highschool thank you so much for this ask!!!!!!! im mainly familiar with the first 5 books though, i havent really kept up to date on the roman versions so it’ll just be camp halfblood. also if theres any inaccuracies i apologise, i havent read them in a while :(
Jisung: Son of Hestia. (I kno Hestia is a Virgin Goddess so this is very out of canon but Hestia just fits Jisung so well). Jisung was born at the Camp, rising out of the Hearth itself. He was raised by Chiron, growing up and learning about the Gods and his Powers from day 1. He goes to school and university during the terms but for the most part he stays at camp, tending to their home. All campers know him, he’s the oldest camper there. Jisung has minor Pyrokinesis abilities, just small things like candle lighting. He often works in the kitchen, cooking up food for the BBQs. He also can sense when new campers will arrive and can often tell which cabin they belong to. He’s very caring and warm, making everyone feel welcome and often being the life of the party who everyone laughs with. He doesnt participate in Capture the Flag but loves cheering everyone on. Lives in the Big House with Chiron. Close to all the campers but becomes closest with Ong and Daniel, watching over them and keeping their powers in check.
Sungwoon: Son of Demeter. Had a pretty normal upbringing even though he used to get weird looks as a kid for singing to plants. Grew up pretty average, even with his ADHD and dyslexia. Thought he was a really normal guy, nothing special, wouldnt achieve anything. When he reached 15 his Dad told him about his Mother and Sungwoon didn’t believe him whatsoever. Until a Satyr named Taehyun showed up at his house telling him to pack his stuff for camp before a monster killed him. Was very quick to believe then. Hangs out mostly with Taehyun at camp, though hes a lot better at agriculture stuff like gardening and cooking than training. Often sings at campfires and enjoys Capture the Flag once in a while. Used to be really terrible with his powers, always accidentally tripping Taehyun with a vine, but with practise is getting better.
Minhyun: Son of Athena. His Father was a scientist who married another woman after Minhyun was born. He grew up thinking the woman was his Mother and didn’t learn the truth until he was attacked by a Hellhound at school. Fashioned a weapon out of his own stationary and got away with his life. Demanded answers out of his Dad but his Dad was ashamed of his Godly heritage and tried to hide it from him, calling him an abomination. Left home and eventually was given a sign by Athena as to the Camps location. Arrived at the camp safely and it didn’t take long for Chiron to explain his true heritage. He’d studied enough Greek Mythology growing up to understand quickly. Was placed in Hermes cabin until his first capture the flag game where he won using his wits and battle skill. Athena was impressed and claimed him almost instantly. Now lives full time at the camp but goes back to school during terms. Is one of the older campers and most well known. Younger campers are often scared of him and think hes too cold but he turns out to be super nice and caring, always helping them train and practise. Close with Son of Ares, Dongho, Son of Hecate, Ren and fellow Son of Athena, Jong who’s also Counselor of their cabin.
Ong: Son of Poseidon. Similar to Percy in that growing up he had a bit of a troubled childhood and was kicked out of school a few times. Was pretty young when his Mum was killed by a Manticore and spent a few years on the street, sleeping down by the docks or on the beach, hopping from place to place and not knowing what to do. It was only by fate that he stumbled upon the Camp and Chiron was very confused as to how and why he’d found it. Was put into Hermes cabin for a while and was happy to accept that his father was the God of Tricksters. Was almost disappointed when Poseidon claimed him but then was told he’s one of the most powerful demigods and was cool. Really good at capture the flag, one of the best players on the teams. Also pretty good at battle training, has very good reflexes. Also enjoys horseriding and chariot racing but is abysmal at studies and theory. Is kinda weirded out by his water powers initially but grows to love them. Even though he’s friends with everyone, he’s kinda sad that he’s the only one in his cabin, as well as the only Big 3 child so often spends time at the bottom of the lake when hes lonely. Is disappointed with the fact that even though he’s one of the most powerful, so far he’s never been given a quest.
Jaehwan: Son of Dionysus. Grew up in an orphanage and was pretty down on his luck his entire life. Went into foster care but left as soon as he was of age, kicked out of schools, found a shitty job and tiny one room apartment and did his best to keep up with his studies. Flunked out a lot due to his dyslexia. Once he reached a certain age his powers got stronger and he accidentally drove his classmate to insanity, leading him to run away again. Around this time, he was found by 2 other demigods, Sewoon and Gwanghyun who were on a quest,  and they helped him find his way to camp. Greeted by a very confused Dionysus who wondered why he looked so familiar. Ends up becoming good friends with Dionysus and enjoys helping him with camp organising. It wasn’t until they were bonding over a can of diet coke when the god finally realised that Jaehwan was his son. Jaehwan initially didn’t want to move into his cabin since he resented his father for abandoning him but they eventually are able to become close once again. Realises he’s not very good at the plant control powers (tho sungwoon tries to help him) but very good at mania and insanity which is useful at times (tho many campers think he himself is insane when they hear him laugh). Enjoys playing guitar and singing with Sewoon by the campfire and a lot of campers think he should have been an Apollo child with his skills.
Jihoon: Son of Aphrodite. Grew up in a rich family, was very used to having things go his way and people listening to him. Almost to the point of a spoilt brat. Was the most popular boy in his class and had admirers from all of his classmates. The day a Harpy showed up and attacked him, Jihoon used his Charmspeak to convince it to leave him alone. Constantly did that with monsters who attacked him, allowing him to grow up without needing the camp. Was found by a satyr who was surprised he was so unscathed and offered to take him to camp. Jihoon initially refused, saying he didn’t need protection with his power but reconsidered after his Charmspeak failed him and almost cost him his life. Was claimed almost instantly by Aphrodite, didnt need to spend any time in Hermes cabin. Is the prettiest camper, even by Aphrodite standards and constantly has both girls and boys falling for him. Is always competing with Samuel from Apollo’s cabin who arrived at Camp at the same time as him and for some reason, is immune to his Charmspeak. Jinyoung teases him saying its cause Jihoon has a crush on Samuel but Jihoon refuses to believe it. Jihoon often participates in Capture the Flag and battle training, moreso than other Aphrodite campers and is one of the most skilled fighters. Ends up going on a quest and becoming very close with Samuel, Daehwi, Woojin and Jinyoung.
Woojin: Son of Hermes. Grew up with an abusive stepfather and alcoholic Mother. Ran away from home pretty early and found a group of homeless kids named Youngmin, Donghyun and Daehwi. Youngmin took care of them for a year, slowly trekking them across the country where he revealed himself to be a satyr and that the other 3 were demigods. They were all put into Hermes cabin at first, with Daehwi and Youngmin being claimed quite early on. Woojin stayed in Hermes cabin, kinda alone with so many kids around him and unable to make friends, waiting to be claimed by his Godly parent. When the Oracle announced a quest with him, Samuel, Jihoon, Daehwi and Jinyoung everyone was very confused, wondering why an unclaimed camper would be part of a quest. It wasn’t until the day they were leaving when Hermes himself stopped by to give Woojin some winged shoes and his blessing. Woojin got a loooot of praise from other campers for getting the attention of his Father. Ended up being an asset on the Quest, picking locks and avoiding traps and very skilled at sneaking past monsters. Gets very close to all of his quest mates and gains the attention of the other campers when he gets back and shows off his skills in capture the flag and training. Becomes a lot more social and proud of himself.
Jinyoung: Son of Hades. Was a weird kid growing up, kinda a loner. Used to see ghosts and his Mother took him to therapy until he learned to just keep quiet about it. He faded into the background a lot and was shy around living human beings. Accidentally Shadow Travelled to camp one day, ending up in Hades Cabin and being extremely confused and shocked as to how he got there. Stumbled out of the Cabin into the arms of Daehwi who immediately took him to Chiron where he passed out. Woke up to see a bunch of demigods and satyrs around him wondering how he managed to enter Hades cabin. Theyre all very surprised to hear that he Shadow Travelled and therefore must be one of the Big 3. Jinyoungs initially sad to learn that theres only one other Big 3 child (Ong) and that he has no cabin-mates. Gets called on the quest however and grows closer to them all, especially Daehwi who shines very brightly to him. Daehwi and Jihoon are both very intrigued by his ghost friends and Jihoon is a bit too interested in his undead army. Like Woojin, becomes more open and skilled with his powers as time goes by.
Daehwi: Son of Apollo. Grew up on the streets at a very early age and never knew his Mother. Was found by 2 older boys Donghyun and Youngmin who became his family. Was able to predict another boy joining them and travelling to Camp together. Woojin was very surprised when Daehwi already knew his name. At Camp, Daehwi was claimed very early, his musical and healing abilities, plus oracle like predictions were too great to ignore. He thrives in the Apollo cabin, sometimes when he gets happy he ends up glowing. His best forte is archery and his golden bow is his main weapon. He loves composing, singing and dancing, anything to do with music. He’s ok at Capture the Flag but prefers more artsy activities. He becomes very close with Jinyoung which leads people to be confused seeing as Jinyoung is dark and Underworld and Daehwi shines like the sun. But they make it work.
Guanlin: Son of Hephaestus. Grew up in an average family and went to a special school for kids with learning difficulties. Met his best friend Seonho there who also had dyslexia and ADHD and they bonded. Guanlin was always really good at the craft section, creating things and tinkering with objects. One day he saved Seonho from a chimera that attacked him at a construction site. Guanlin controlled the machines and managed to banish it. Both were very confused as to how he did it and Seonho exclaimed that he must be a superhero. A satyr found them soon after that when Seonho kept asking Guanlin to practise his powers on little machines, like his nintendo to get Shiny Pokemon. Wound up in camp together and Seonho joined Hebes cabin. Guanlin started living in Hephaestus’s cabin and everyone was so thankful that he didnt have pyro powers given his lack of awareness at times. Is very good with his hands though, and even though hes quiet, makes the best weapons and ends up creating the magical items for the other 10 members. Ends up going on a quest with them all and, while sad to leave Seonho behind, grows close to the rest of them.
Daniel: Son of Zeus. The newest camper. Doesn’t know his past, just woke up one day and is outside the camp. Knows only his name is Daniel and that he misses his cats. The day that he arrives, it’s announced by the Oracle (Eunki) that he shall lead a Quest made up of 10 other campers. No one knows why this random, new kid who hasnt even been claimed, nor knows who he is, will be able to lead. Ong is jealous that he gets given a Quest immediately while he has had to wait for years. Ends up clashing with Ong, who calls forth his water powers to attack him from the lake. Daniel accidentally loses control and brings forth a storm. Jisung watches worridly from the side and tells Ong to calm down. The storm gathers and begins to rain as all the campers run out to see the two circling each other. Before Daniel can stop it, lightning strikes Ong out of no where and he collapses, needing immediate medical attention and is carried off to the Big House. The rest of the campers show disdain for Daniel as he’s escorted to Zeus’ cabin. Chiron explains to him that Ong is a Big 3 son and therefore there might be continually clashes between them. Daniel is apologetic, being there for Ong to wake up so he can apologise. Ong’s pride is hurt but says he wouldnt mind having someone else who understands what its like being a child of the Big 3. They grow closest together, much to the surprise of everyone and work on their powers influencing each other, creating storms and hurricanes together. Daniel becomes the best player in Capture the Flag, though Jihoon and Ong both rival him. A month into his stay at the Camp, Eunki announces the rest of the team that shall take on the Quest and also lets Daniel know that his memories shall be found on this journey, though he may not want to know them. (These memories are his past where a younger demigod, Woojin, was killed by a monster and Daniel was unable to protect him. In his grief, he lost control of his powers, creating such a storm that he begged the Gods to take away his pain, leading to his amnesia).
The 11 of them take on the Quest with new weapons built by Guanlin such as Imperial Gold sword for Daniel and a small thin rapier for Jihoon. Though interactions with monsters and minor gods, they save each other and manage to complete the Quest, bonding and becoming a family.

Here’s my (really, really, really) long and totally unnecessary review of the Percy Jackson cast album. I’ve gotten so many visions by listening to this. I’ve even gotten a better understanding of some of the characters.
The Day I Got Expelled “The gods are real and they have kids and all those kids have issues.”
“Look, I didn’t wanna be a halfblood.” Bless this crew for actually reading the books; we begin the musical like we begin the book.  I like this song because it’s a very successful musical number, since it tells the first chapters with only one song.
Notable lyrics/melody: “...that's when this story should probably start. We were geeking out on ancient Greek at the New York Metropolitan Museum Of Art” I love this part.
Strong Bless Sally Jackson.  “Normal is a myth. Everyone has issues they're dealing with. [...] The things that make you different are the very things that make you; strong.”  What I love about this are those lines. Sally knows that this might not mean much to Percy now but soon enough it will. When all the halfblood things are getting too much for him, he’ll probably remember: “Normal is a myth. Everyone has issues they’re dealing with.” She also sings about blue food and how that’s not every normal either.  Notable lyrics/melody: (sings about blue food) “To make it boring orange or green, why be blah, when there's aquamarine?”
The Minotaur / The Weirdest Dream “You drool when you sleep.”
Sally Jackson sacrifices herself and Percy wakes up at camp. Also; Percy calls Annabeth “angel.”  Notable voice acting: “If Mrs. Dodds was really a monster, I hope you're really a sword... Awesome!"  Not sure why but I love how he sounds when he says this.
Another Terrible Day “'Course, who am I to give relationship advice, I'm literally the god of alcohol” Mr. D got his own song! This song is so much fun. What is great about this is that normally someone would sing a song about how great the camp is. You know, to introduce camp to the audience. But instead; this musical let Mr. D sing about how godsawful the camp is and what a terrible day he’s having.
“I'm the god of wine and I'm dying of thirst” I also love how freaked out Percy is during this song. It feels more natural than being totally cool with it. “Mr. Brunner!? You’re a horse!? What is happening???”  Notable voice acting: I never would have guessed that the same guy who is Grover is also Mr. D. He does a great job!  Their Sign This is a sweet song. Percy’s feelings are really coming through here. He’s mad, he’s upset and he doesn’t understand what’s going on. But then Luke enters and helps him cope a little. (It’s just so sad how good he is at doing that because of how things turns out later.)  Notable lyrics/music: ”He showed no sign that he ever existed. No sign he might actually care. My mom raised me all on her lonesome when I would reach out, no one else would be there. Well I want my birthday cards and fishing trips, child support and homework tips. Don't mean to whimper or whine. The guy didn't need to be "Dad of the Year" But it's clear he could've shown us a sign” Long, I know. But it’s so good. So much emotion.
Put You In Your Place This girl got some pipes! Geesh, she’s amazing!  This song doesn’t bring out that many emotions in me but it’s still brilliant. The music is awesome and those guitars!!
The best part is when they fight in the bathroom.  “Heard you were tough, But you don't look it, Your goose is cooked. I'm here to cook it” This line is so strange but Clarisse sings it with such dedication and power that it makes total sense anyway.
The Campfire Song
“My father is Kronos (silence) Remember my lecture He ate his children.” “Chiron wins.”
What a brilliant way to introduce all the characters. Make them sing a camp song about their godly parents! But then it’s Percy’s turn and that little cinnamon bun sings about Sally! (Cue heartbreak.) This is also a very sweet way for them to introduce the concept that even if their families suck; they’ll always have a family at camp.  Notable lyric: ”If I tried to sing, it'll probably cause an avalanche” Yay for book quotes!
Good kid  All right this is one of those songs that made me understand Percy as a character a little bit more. So we have this kid who causes trouble wherever he goes. None of it is really his fault. He’s set up because of the whole half blood thing. He really is a good kid and he tries really hard to stay out of trouble. But it doesn’t work and everyone always think it’s his fault and then; he learns that he’s a demigod. Things might look up but then Zeus, the most powerful greek god, accuses him of stealing his most powerful lighting bolt.  Imagine that; having people telling you how things are always your fault and then you’re literally accused by the Gods of stealing something. This poor kid is just trying to be good! Let the poor boy be.
I swear I never stole anything I never meant to hurt anyone I swear, I swear that I'm a good kid Killer Quest “We're gonna march straight down to the gates of hell.” “Underworld.” “Close enough.”  Aa, Percy.
I adore the music in this song. I also love how many times they manage to find so many (good) words that rhymes with “quest.” Favourite part of this song is at the very end when they start to sing.”We’re going on an awesome, dangerous and scary....” Also “Killer heroes quest!”  Lost I wrote a post about this the other day. But this song is the catchiest song on this album. “We’re lost in the woods, somewhere in New Jersey and we’re never gonna make to LA.” I love the dialogue in this and also Grover’s Kronk moment. “Dude, are talking to a squirrel.” Also Percy’s pun, especially how he drags the “S.”
Is anyone still reading this? it’s super long. Well only a little left.  My grand plan Oh, Annabeth my previous deadly cupcake.  This is also one of those songs that made me understand Annabeth better. I love how the incorporated her hat in this. How unfitting that Annabeth, who’s been working her whole life to be taken seriously and noticed, gets a hat to make herself invisible? Annabeth wants to be remembered and my previous deadly cupcake you’re so will. You’re gonna be the architect of Olympus one day. You’ll be remembered forever.
Drive Two things about this song; The Hover dam reference (dam snacks) and the fact that Ares mentioned Clarisse so he could rhyme it with “peace.”
Tree on the hill
Emotions. Emotions all over the place. Grover is making me cry. This is a wonderful way to introduce Thalia and talk about Grover’s guilt.
And there on the Hill Up on Half-Blood Hill A cold wind blew Dark and chill For nothing would slake it's wrathful will We had to make a stand-
This part is so good. The melody, the emotion and just everything. Right when he sings “chill” it literally gives me chills. How fitting.
I won’t go deeper into the songs anymore but overall this musical is just really well done. It respects the books and the songs are really catchy.
