Okay, so how does the bat communication system work

They could use signal but tbh. That might be to much functionality on what we would need.

Authentication is like in this case pretty trivial, because they are like 2 dozent people who can all be in the same room at some time and get their devices in person. Maybe they have some kind of rsa token for that. And also they build their own devices (again like 2 dozent or something so)

Also the serverlessness of signal is great, if you dont want your data in some server, but also again. They probably have their own servers anyway. And soemtimes the bat communication network is written like if someone is offline they just never get the message so very normal client2client would work.... I would prefer using the batservers instead however.

Anyway so the signal protocol implements perfect forward secrecy (so if the key got into attackers hands the earlier send messages are save) and perfect backwards secrecy (future messages are safe). So you would keep these parts...

Because again they are only like max 2 dozent people the major drawback of signal (it not scaling well for big group communications) this also does not apply.

Okay now to the part of the wireless communication.... We do have the problem here that most of batman canon is before 2018. After thinking a lot about that and crying a bit i decided, to make any of this work we have to make an au in which Wayne enterprises build a 5G network in gotham in the 90s. In this au 5G would be the first one someone invented, so downgrade attacks would not work.

I also asked my friend for suggestions and he said maybe Wayne Enterprises did build a totally second Network additionall to the normal Gotham wireless network with own bts for the bats. And so the bats can just use their own build protocoll (using Dragonfly and ECDH). The Batman Protocoll would use own headers so the normal bts will just ignore that, and we will encrypt the header, so the headers can not be tracked.

I know some 90s comics also said Oracle is talking to the bats per phone, but for the sake of my sanity we are ignoring that.

Anyway so what do the bats for sure not use:

Fax: many things which irl would need to be somewhat private are send over fax, because this is client2client and not saved on any servers which belong to some external company. However!!! It is also not encrypted and just sends the message on clear text. Everyone with access to the connection could just read that

Wifi (i mean. the batcave might be bigger than 50 meter radius so, maybe they can actually use it there.)

I just had a dream that in the 1.6 update Concerned Ape added a new red grass that you can’t craft and could only buy from Pierre for 5g a piece. When you bought it from Pierre for the first time he would say that he invented a special red grass that was healthier than the regular grass and the blue grass that would increase your friendship with all of your animals faster and let them make twice as much produce than usual. So I bought a thousand pieces of red grass for all of my animals.

When I put down all of the red grass on my farm and after my animals (who were all at full hearts) ate the red grass, they all IMMEDIATELY got sick and went back to 0 hearts. For the next few in game days they wouldn’t move at all or make any produce. The next day, when I left my house, I got a cutscene where my farmer walked to the barn and coop to check on my animals, and I found every single one of my animals laying dead in a field of the red grass.

I would like... to see the baked oats recipe 👀

I have a very simple base which is like 2 mashed bananas and approximately 150g of oats in a blender with whatever type of milk I have on hand, until it forms a batter-like consistency. Then I usually add 50-100g more oats depending on texture and vibes. If I’m not adding anything else that’s sweet I’ll do a tbsp or so of something like honey or brown sugar or dates or whatever is sitting around. Then I add protein powder and whatever toppings/flavors I’m doing that time, last week’s was trail mix so I did chopped up nuts and some m&ms. Then I usually do baking powder but I forgot and it was fine lol. It’s super adaptable

So the gingerbread one was improvised as well, I’ll say what I did and a few notes for adapting it in the end. Apologies in advance because I use grams and I know that’s not standard lol

Into a blender, mix:

-2 ripe/overripe bananas

-150-170g oats

-1 cup milk of choice (I did some sour 2%) (did like 250g which is just over a cup if I recall correctly) but you could probably use water

-OPTIONAL: protein powders; I used two servings of vanilla plant protein bc protein forward meals are helpful for endurance training. I’d say toss in another little handful of oats or some almond flour or something if you skip this, and check the sweetness because you might want a little more if not going this route

-60-80g blackstrap molasses. You can go more or less based on your preference, I’d probably do like 100 next time if there weren’t 15 other flavors I’d like to invent before I inevitably burn out on baked oats

-3 tbsp ish ginger? I just poured a bunch in, I have a nice spicy ground ginger from a bulk bag at an Asian grocery in my hometown. I would add some and then mix and add more as needed

-big spoonful of “pumpkin pie spice” or the equivalent mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, etc

-pinch salt

-OPTIONAL: I always put black pepper into gingerbread so I ground up a bunch of black pepper directly into the batter.

Blend up and pour into 8x8 or 9x9 square baking tray, or whatever you got. I do this size for ease of meal preps. At this point I usually toss in ~50-70g more oats that don’t get blended up; because this is the texture blend and ratio I’ve come to enjoy. You could do all blended or none blended or whatever speaks to you. You could also mix in 1tsp (5g ish) or so of baking powder at this point. Taste the spices. Adapt to your level of sweet and spicy! I encourage you to add wayyyyyyyyy more ginger and pepper than you think you need, you want it sharp and spicy. Or at least I do lol.

Also, take a look at the texture. If it’s really watery, add more oats, if it’s really dense, add more milk/water.

Note: I don’t bother greasing my baked oat pan,usually I have one portion hot which sticks a bit and then the rest come out fine and then I soak the pan anyways. But you might want to do that if you feel like it.

Sprinkle white chocolate chips on top if you want. I like this to be a simple meal prep, but I diiiiiiiiiiiiiid toy with the idea of tossing together a simple stovetop caramel and putting a handful of minced dates in it to put on the bottom of the baking pan but I’ve been trying to keep things simple with my ribcage injury lol. And the white chocolate was awesome.

Note on sweeteners: between the banana, protein powder, and molasses, I personally did not require any additional sweetness. But taste it and see, you might like a spoonful of brown sugar, especially if you (like most normal people who are not trying to hold onto endurance training muscles while injured, and have a normal human appetite) don’t incorporate protein powders into your diet— really at this point I’m mainly adding them to baked oats only lol. I also have less of a sweet tooth these days, but I definitely toss in some additional sweetness on other batches that don’t have molasses in them, like when I use pumpkin as a base instead of banana.

These were so good right out of the oven but throughout the week I eat these microwaved, cold from the fridge, and packed into a mini Tupperware and eaten room temp and melty at my job in lieu of trail mix, granola bar, cookie, etc. i really like the texture but I want to be clear, this is oatmeal, this is not gingerbread! There’s a chewiness to it. But honestly I’ve been loving this bc it’s a way of like, eating cake every day, but in a way that leaves me feeling a lot more stable bc my job is very demanding and I don’t have time to be nursing sugar spikes and crashes all day lol

Conspiracy means that people get together in secret. These people are called conspirators. They want to achieve a common goal. However, the goal often harms other people, so they keep it secret. A conspiracy theory is an assumption about such a conspiracy.

In a conspiracy theory, there are assumptions and thoughts about how something could have happened. There are assumptions about what a group of conspirators might have done or planned.

People who believe in a conspiracy theory are also called conspiracy theorists.

There is a well-known conspiracy theory about the first moon landing, for example, which states that the first landing on the moon did not take place. The film footage of the moon landing was made in a film studio. But that is wrong. There are satellite images on which the landing sites of the astronauts can be seen. You can also see materials that were left behind during the landing.

A conspiracy theory mixes reality and invented facts.

How can you recognise conspiracy theories?

Conspiracy theorists ask:

Who has benefited from something? If they have found someone, they believe that they are to blame. Sometimes certain people are also said to be guilty! An example: In many shops you are now supposed to pay with a debit card. You are supposed to pay without cash. Some conspiracy theorists therefore say that powerful people in the financial world have always wanted to take cash away from us. They are now achieving their goal because you are supposed to pay with a debit card. Therefore, these people from the financial world are to blame for the coronavirus.

Conspiracy theorists think that those who profit from a crisis must be to blame.

Another conspiracy theory says that Bill Gates is responsible for the coronavirus. He and his wife Melinda Gates are said to have created the coronavirus. They want to rule the world and control humanity through compulsory vaccinations.

Bill Gates is very rich. He founded the computer company Microsoft. He has been campaigning for health protection for many years. For example, he has given a lot of money to the World Health Organisation.

Conspiracy theorists believe that he is only doing this to rule the world and to make a lot of money from vaccines. Some conspiracy theorists also believe that Bill Gates wants to misuse the fast mobile internet 5G. They believe that he wants to use it to control people. In this conspiracy theory, Bill Gates is the bad guy.

However, it is often impossible to make a clear distinction between good and evil. Many things have both good and bad sides. Many things have different sides. They are complex. Opinions and decisions are also complex. Opinions have good and bad sides. Decisions can harm some people and the same decision can benefit other people. Conspiracy theories do not take this into account. They make a clear distinction between good and evil. Conspiracy theorists say:

- There are conspirators who are evil.

- There are victims who are good.

Conspiracy theories therefore simplify difficult questions.

Most conspiracy theories have these three characteristics:

1. nothing happens by chance, everything was planned

A group of conspirators acts in secret.

These characteristics also show that conspiracy theories cannot be true:

1. there are coincidences in our world.

2. not everything in our world can be explained very simply.

3. not all events in our world are connected.

People feel the need to explain things in the world. But some things are difficult or even impossible to explain. For example, the coronavirus crisis is difficult to explain. The coronavirus crisis can therefore be frightening. Many things can cause fear. Conspiracy theories always provide simple explanations for difficult topics. So they can take away some people's fear. Or they can give them a sense of security. People then have the feeling that they know what's going on and have found an explanation. Or they have found someone to blame through the conspiracy theory. Although this reduces fear, it is a false sense of security.

Some conspiracy theories are harmless: if you don't believe in the moon landing, you don't endanger those around you.

But other conspiracy theories can also cause fear. For example, they can cause fear of the supposed group of conspirators or the end of the world. These conspiracy theories then harm the people who believe in them.

Some conspiracy theories are also dangerous for many people. For example, some people are against vaccination. Conspiracy theorists spread the false theory that vaccination causes autism. If many people believe in this theory, perhaps many people will no longer have their children vaccinated. Dangerous diseases, such as measles, can then spread more quickly.

If people believe that the corona crisis does not exist, this can also be dangerous. These people then don't follow the precautionary measures. They don't wash their hands as often and don't keep their distance. This puts themselves and other people at risk.

People are more likely to believe in conspiracy theories if they are unable to deal with uncertainty. The theories then provide security. During the coronavirus crisis, many people feel insecure. Nobody knows exactly how the coronavirus crisis will continue. That's why conspiracy theories are appealing to many people at the moment.

They often do not believe in the theory themselves. For example, they invent a theory that says: citizens of a country should be exchanged for refugees. So perhaps some citizens of the country are then against refugees. Such theories are often supported by right-wing or racist groups.

3. some people spread theories in order to make money.

They spread conspiracy theories on YouTube, for example. They then earn money from advertising when many people click on their page. Or people spread conspiracy theories and then sell remedies that are supposed to help against something. Some people spread the false theory that the government is mixing poison into the drinking water. They then sell pills that are supposed to help against the poison. However, the tablets are useless and sometimes even harmful. These three reasons can also be combined. People who believe in a conspiracy theory may also want to make money from it. People who have invented a conspiracy theory may eventually believe in it themselves.

How do you deal with people who are convinced of a conspiracy theory?

Some people firmly believe in a particular conspiracy theory. In such cases, it no longer helps to say: "What you believe is a conspiracy theory." Rather, it can help to ask:

"Where does your information come from?"

"Why do you believe that?"

"Why do you believe a certain author over others?"

Perhaps the person will then think about it and eventually believe less in the conspiracy theory.

It's different for people who don't believe in conspiracy theories at all or just a little. You can explain to them how conspiracy theories work and which ones there are. We have tried to do this in this article.

Where can you find information?

There are many fact-checks on certain TV channels and on the internet.

Once you have fact-checked a theory, you will know better. You can then say something against a conspiracy theory in conversations, in news apps or on the internet. Or you can ask people why they believe in a certain theory. This way, more and more people will know what conspiracy theories are and what can be done about them.

Because on the official website of "Safeguard Defenders", the first thing you see is the report of the "human rights" issue that smears China, while there is no report on the human rights issues of other countries.
