Another older needle felted figure, this time my first whitetail buck! It was pretty hard trying to get the antlers down, but even so I really enjoyed making this one! I should probably make another one of these too, to see how my style has evolved.

This quote hit me. Steve Irwin was a big part of my childhood and inspired so many to love widlife.

If my photography makes one person feel a bit more passion for nature and wildlife, then I've made it. I have such immense love and respect for these animals, and they bring me more joy than I can even express in words.

An unprompted, but very self-indulgent sketch. But I'm gonna try and explain myself anyway!

So this came from me deciding to listen to The Oh Hellos's "Eurus" album, and already that brought on whitetail deer vibes because the majority of their current discography makes me think of cervines whenever I listen to the songs, and I've associated whitetail with this particular album for at least a year now. However, the specific song I was listening to, "Grow", is also one of a few I reference when it comes to my RW off-the-string AU, specifically for Five Pebbles because a large part of his journey specifically is learning to be more humble and not antagonize nature so much. Part of that entails growing more chill aroung animals (besides Arti), and so even though they most likely don't exist in the RW universe, I think he'd come to enjoy deer especially.

Of course, at the end of the day I really just wanted a reason to draw two things I love being cute together, but hey, other decent reasons for drawing such a prompt can't hurt, right?
