I’m disgusted by the antivax/antimask crowd to begin with, but this is just a handful of examples of how people who are so used to being catered to are asked to prioritize the safety of others. I’m currently reading Dara Horn’s book “People Love Dead Jews” and this is a case in point. lin update! i’m diving into some huge exciting life affirming projects in 2018!

dealt with a lot of #whitenonsense this week. luckily that’s fuel for my sagittarius-scorpio-virgo moon-slytherin activist fire because i’m now even more motivated to do social justice education through music and comedy (& musical comedy, like the queer fat cripple punk two spirit high femme nick offerman but less famous?) than was when i set a goal to do that a year and a half ago, before i went to north dakota, when I gave my second-ever keynote address(!) at a Youth MOVE event in Santa Fe. (have you donated to Youth MOVE? they do amazing work and deserve to get a lot of donations this holiday season and the rest of the year.)

if there’s one thing i learned at Standing Rock, it’s that everyone has a role in the movement. i was only at one of the direct actions and wasn’t physically on the frontlines, but was able to spiritually and emotionally show up for my friends and comrades and relatives from Standing Rock Two Spirit Nationtion. and now that i’m back on the west coast and had the privilege to be reunited with various #waterprotector relatives, big life change saturn return things are happening!! i’m gonna be all right bc my friends are amazing & despite chronic pain and cptsd from the shitshow that was 2016-2017 i’m doing really well and feeling great about launching a Patreon soon (in the meantime, #reparations are always welcome via cash.me/$lyricbridges 🖤) thanks to my community - which is scattered around turtle island because #sagittariuslife - i’m actually feeling more leslie knope than april ludgate these days even with the shitty, shitty circumstances that have led to all of us being forced to live in this literally fascist regime.

arts and activism and writing have always been significant parts of my life as a rural queerdo and two spirit leader (a word i hesitate to label myself withCandi Brings Plentyi Brings Plenty i started coming into my own medicine/magic/strengths one year ago at #ocetisakowin... wopila for asking me to be yr #2, it’s an honor to know you!🏳️‍🌈) and 2018 is going to be about doing all of those things to #resist and #survive. i’m doing the thing! grad school application after i do FAFSA things, performing as much as i can (a thing i didn’t do much at all while in that abusive relationship that brought me to maine - a decision i don’t regret but fuck
