Rarely does a band release a 10/10 album.

Even more rarely, do they release two. Furthermore, do they release them in a row.

And even more frighteningly rare, 1 of 1, is this album, which is a 10/10 in its own right.

Happy Birthday actor Derek Riddell, born January 11th 1967 in Glasgow.

Derek the son of actress Hope Ross and former professional footballer Ian Riddell is best known for being a stage thespian more than anything else. Nevertheless, he still achieved mainstream popularity with roles on Doctor Who, the comedy Ugly Betty, and the Lifetime series State of Mind.

A graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, he was able to perform a lot of classics onstage in Shakespearean classics such as a Midsummer Night’s Dream and Much ado About Nothing before finally moving to television.

Riddell managed to chalk up two appearances in Taggart. In 2003 he starred in the situation comedy Book Group that aired on Channel 4 between 2002 and 2003. Riddell’s other credits include the brilliant No Angels, Gentleman Jack, Shakespeare-Told, ,Blake’s 7 radio adaptation, Happy Valley and Inspector George Gently. His films include Meat the Campbells, A Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey, A Previous Engagement, and Tumshie McFadgen’s Bid for Ultimate Bliss.

Derek played King James VI in the excellent BBC drama Gunpowder in 2017. He keeps busy, since then he has appeared in some great dramas including, A Confession, Hard Sun and season 5 of Shetland,

In 2020 Derek was on our screens in the BBC/HBO product, Industry about the banking collapse in 2008, Industry, and the Irvine Welsh drama set in Edinburgh, Crime, appearing in 7 of the 12 episodes so far.

Riddell was in two decent mini-series in 2023, Bodies, an excellent time travel type show, featuring four detectives, living in different eras -1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053 - find the body of the same murder victim in Whitechapel. They soon come to realize their investigations have them central to a conspiracy spanning over 150 years. I hope there is a second series, but it looks unlikely. Derek also showed up in Payback, not as good as Bodies, it was a crime story set in Edinburgh, Peter Mullen tried his best, but I wasn't overly impressed with it. Both series did however get 7.3 out of 10 on Imdb.

Last year Derek was in 6 of the 7 episodes of Boarders, which I haven't watched yet, a season 2 is in the making with a whole new cast. He also starred in a TV movie called The Christmas Quest.

A Glasgow actor known for his role in Fantastic Beasts has teamed up with fellow film and TV stars to front a major new modern slavery campaign. The campaign aims to raise awareness of modern slavery and educate the public on signs that indicate someone may be experiencing modern slavery and exploitation.

In a special film produced for the campaign, Riddell explains how modern slavery "can be hidden in plain sight and is happening in towns and cities across the UK."

He said: "It is important we know that modern slavery is out there, and there are people experiencing it right now."

It’s enough to pull him into the moment, into this new night, to this bed, to this city, to this entanglement, for he feels the knobs of Lestat’s bony spine against his chest before he feels anything else. Before he feels the numbness of his left arm, caught between Lestat’s side and the mattress, before he feels the curve of his perfect ass, cradled between Louis’ hips, and he works his mouth. Tastes the stale remnants of last night – of sleep and blood and Lestat – and he pushes his nose into the valley Lestat’s neck makes with his shoulder, inhales deeply, lets Lestat, however briefly, fill his senses as the blood drips south, and he drops his free hand to Lestat’s hip. With a low groan, Louis leans back just enough to fumble a hand out behind him in the dark, reaching for where his cell phone sits on his bedside table, blinks bleary eyes up at it as he turns the screen on, but despite a flurry of messages from a flurry of people, his phone’s not the one that’s ringing. He glances across the bed at where Lestat’s phone is glowing bright on top of the other table, and rolls over again to pull his left arm out from beneath Lestat, draping himself over him as he starts to stir, pressing a quick kiss to his shoulder and giving his bare ass a quick, light good-evening slap.

“Phone, baby.”

And Lestat practically growls at that, yanking himself out of sleep only to flop pathetically over in the sheets, grabbing his cell off the bedside table and letting loose a string of cusses in French when he recognises the contact. Still, he promptly answers, even if he does hook it between his head and shoulder so that he can reach a hand back behind him to fondle Louis’ cock briefly as he does it.

Despite himself, Louis can’t quite bite back the grin, half-hard but also awake enough now to know that this ain’t gonna happen on what seems like a work call, so he detaches Lestat’s hand from his (hot, already pulsing - - fuck, no one gets him going like Lestat) member, entwines their fingers briefly with an affectionate squeeze that has Lestat staring back at him unblinking over his shoulder, and sits up in bed, giving them a little distance. He rolls his shoulders back, wills his arousal away, shakes out his left arm to try and get some circulation back into it from where it was pinned beneath Lestat’s body for likely the entire day, before grabbing his phone again to actually read through his messages. There are a few from his assistant, passed on follow-up from the Whitechapel Gallery and meeting requests from property developers back in Dubai, a few from Margot, and one from Rashid about a potential buyer for another Klimt coming through a contact at Sotheby’s.

Enough to get to work, he thinks, slipping out of bed, feeling Lestat’s too hot gaze on the line of his nude body as he tosses on a slate grey cotton t-shirt and a pair of deep, autumnal red silk lounge pants, grabs his laptop from atop the dresser and pads downstairs towards the kitchen.

Draven Zakharov

Draven Zakharov is a 19-20-year-old from Russia, standing 186.42 cm tall. He has ASPD, psychotic depression, and ADHD. Identifying as gay and greyaroace, Draven was born on September 21st.

Draven and his twin, Shon, may share the same birthday, but they are very different individuals. Draven has a deep love for playing the electric guitar, a passion he's nurtured since childhood. Now, he writes and plays his own songs, often just for himself. In addition to music, Draven is a horror artist, drawing disfigured humans, eerie scenes from the uncanny valley, and other unsettling images that creep into his mind. He often sketches when he's bored, which happens frequently, allowing his hand to move freely until the drawing comes together on its own.

Draven's fascination with the paranormal, anomalies, and urban legends is what drew him to horror art in the first place. He enjoys watching videos of people exploring haunted places, even though he knows most of them are staged. His main interest lies in learning the history of these buildings. In his hometown of Creek Hill, Draven often explores abandoned places, sometimes to see if they're truly haunted or simply to graffiti before leaving. He's very goal-oriented, with one particular ambition driving him: to experience a real ghost event in his life.

Nana's House Installation, London College of Fashion - Community Co-Curator

Nana's House is an interactive living room installation, as part of Designed for Life which coincided with the opening of the new campus in Stratford, East London, UK.

The living room reflects and represents a broad heterogeneity of lives and experiences in East London told through a fictional family gathered on a Sunday afternoon at Nana's house, using artefacts and QR-linked soundscapes to represent each family member.

"Nana's one of a kind, and so is her house. It's Sunday afternoon, and her Leytonstone Victorian terrace is at capacity. Mum, dad, uncle and Grandad congregate around the jollof, but I'm more interested in the sweet, spiced tea and homemade samosas that have made a regular appearance here since we took in a lodger - an Indian-Muslim exchange student from Hyderabad.

My grandparents have lived here long before I was born. The walls tell the tale of an exuberant young textile worker arriving in London in 1960, fresh from Ondo State, Nigeria, with an infatuation with the latest in fashion and design. Over the years my mum has tried to add some modern toches; working in finance, she began to share her wealth in the late 80s with a new TV and sofa - much to the apathy of Grandad, who only believes in fixing what is broken.

Grandad was a print worker, a determined trade unionist whose career ended at age 48 with a labour dispute on Wapping High Street in 1987. A "real East Londoner born within earshot of the Bow Bells", he fought the resurgence of fascism around Ridley Road Market with the 62 Group and got bruised, whilst mourning the death of his and nana's first newborn, in battles against Oswold Mosely.

He tells stories of how he fell in love with Nana in 1961 to a soundtrack of Marvin Gaye. They triumphed against melancholy and fell deeper in love. In 1966, they celebrated the World Cup win for England together, of which West Ham players were an integral factor!

Having spent the summer away from my parents, I am inspired by the community and political strength of my grandparents. I collide with my parents' capitalist complicity - working in government and global trade; they mock my uncle who gave himself earnestly and entirely to the rave scene of Lea Valley."
