A far-right account on X that has recently received a number of replies from Elon Musk is having his old pro-Nazi posts flagged.
The drama began on Sunday when left-wing X user “evan loves worf” noted that Musk had shared a post from @iamyesyouareno, an account with over 368,000 followers that regularly shares racist content.
“Elon is retweeting a Nazi … because he will believe anything a Nazi says,” evan loves worf wrote, sharing a meme iamyesyouareno posted about the media criticizing White people.
The accusation got nearly 5,000 retweets.
Musk’s promotion of the account was not a one-off; he replied to the account eight times in the past month, not counting retweets
On Aug. 28, Musk replied “Wow” to a post from iamyesyouareno where he suggested that crime increased in Ireland over the past 20 years due to migrants.
In another response, on Aug. 20, Musk sent two exclamation points to iamyesyourareno after he shared a story about a 17-year-old girl who was prosecuted for carrying and using illegal pepper spray against a male attacker in Denmark.
The story, which claimed the attack happened near a “migrant asylum center,” had been written eight years earlier.
“Elon doesn’t just occasionally reply to Nazis, he’s literally a Nazi’s reply guy,” wrote one user.
On Wednesday, the incident gained even more attention when iamyesyouareno responded by downplaying the charge of “Nazism.”
“Observing reality equals nazism. Lol, lmao,” they replied. “Cry harder.”
But users quickly flooded iamyesyouareno’s replies with screenshots of his own posts, many of which portrayed both Nazis and Adolf Hitler in a positive light.
“Here’s you saying the Nazis were right you piece of shit,” evan loves worf said, sharing a post where iamyesyouareno quoted George Patton about defeating “the wrong enemy” in World War 2.
In another example, evan loves worf shared multiple posts regarding iamyesyouareno’s views towards Jews, which included his belief that they must be “defeated” after making a (now deleted) reference to the Jewish Question.
— iamyesyouareno (@iamyesyouareno) August 27, 2024
“The guy Elon is replying to is a literal Nazi. Here’s him talking about the ‘Jewish question’ yesterday,” evan loves worf added. “Elon doesn’t mind this of course because he is also a Nazi.”

Others joined in, highlighting even more of iamyesyouareno’s previous remarks, including Holocaust denial jokes. In another post, though, he said that the Holocaust did happen and he was “very impressed” by the Holocaust’s numbers.
iamyesyouareno has also repeatedly referred to himself as being “Aryan” with “blue eyes,” said the media is owned by “Jews,” and cheered Hitler’s birthday on the site.
In another tweet, when asked “What comes after N?” iamyesyouareno replied “I,” a not-so-subtle reference to a racial slur.
But this kind of outcry is unlikely to deter Musk.
Since taking over the platform, Musk’s purported support of free speech has led to an increase in extremist content.
Under Musk, multiple users with the N-word in their handles have also been allowed to pay for subscriptions, ensuring their content is seen by a wider audience.

White dungeon meshi fans sound like this to me:
Tumblr media
It's extremely fascinating and frightening to me how hateful some of you people are towards shuro, a man who is clearly depicted as japanese, (a man who could look like me or literally any member of my family in real life) for being a normal, complex, and flawed human being.
Why do you single him out for getting frustrated with and mad at laios when chilchuck and marcille do the same literally all the time? What's the difference between them and shuro?
Why do you feel the unnecessary need to protect these white women from a japanese man?
Do you expect that this japanese man is inherently going to have some kind of ugly negative quality that has not been once hinted at canonically? Do you know what that's called? Because i do and it's fucking racism.
You people get scared the moment a character that is a person of color isnt a quiet little model minority or a sweet mammy archetype. You grasp at your pearls the moment they are revealed to have complex personalities and histories; when they feel negative, big emotions that are literally part of the human experience. Or god forbid, when they show romantic interest in a pure, helpless, little white woman.
And when a person of color stops behaving good and docile the way you want, when they decide that theyre not going to put up with a situation that makes them uncomfortable or miserable or RIGHTEOUSLY FURIOUS, they become the bad guy. As seen countless times in the medias demonizing depiction of the Black Lives Matter protests and even of black people who get punished for just living their lives. It happens so often i shouldnt have to reiterate it to you but it somehow keeps flying over your head.
And when that dirty, conniving, perverted, slant eyed, buck toothed, stumpy little japanese man understandably snaps at the white person you guys are projecting onto and all you see is this:
Tumblr media
So dont be surprised when i say that id rather kill myself than entrust the safety of my oldest aunts and uncles or my youngest cousins with any of you who act like this. Im terrified of what could have happened if people like you worked at the facility that my great grandmother lived out her final years in. Would you have seen her as a wild animal that needed to be subdued too when she had one of her many dementia-induced violent episode?
I will not apologize for saying that i find it deeply disconcerting to see so many of you happily posting hateful vitriol or even about committing acts of violence against a man that looks like me, solely because he was experiencing his humanity

Seeing fan discussions about Blue Eye Samurai and especially Mizu's identity is so annoying sometimes. So let me just talk about it real quick.
First off, I have to emphasise that different interpretations of the text are always important when discussing fiction. That's how the whole branch of literary studies came to be, and what literary criticism and analysis is all about: people would each have their own interpretation of what the text is saying, each person applying a different lens or theory through which to approach the text (ie. queer theory, feminist theory, reader response theory, postcolonial theory, etc) when analysing it. And while yes, you can just take everything the authors say as gospel, strictly doing so would leave little room for further analysis and subjective interpretation, and both of these are absolutely necessary when having any meaningful discussion about a piece of media.
With that being said, when discussing Blue Eye Samurai, and Mizu's character in particular, I always see people only ever interpret her through a queer lens. Because when discussing themes of identity, yes, a queer reading can definitely apply, and in Mizu's story, queer themes are definitely present. Mizu has to hide her body and do her best to pass in a cisheteronormative society; she presents as a man 99% of the time and is shown to be more comfortable in men's spaces (sword-fighting) than in female spaces (homemaking). Thus, there's nothing wrong with a queer reading at all. Hell, some queer theorists interpret Jo March from Little Women as transmasc and that's totally valid, because like all analyses, they are subjective and argumentative; you have the choice to agree with an interpretation or you can oppose it and form your own.
To that end, I know many are equally adamant that Mizu is strictly a woman, and that's also also a completely valid reading of the text, and aligns with the canon "Word of God", as the creators' intention was to make her a woman. And certainly, feminist themes in the show are undeniably present and greatly colour the narrative, and Episode 4 & 5 are the clearest demonstrations of this: Mizu's protectiveness of Madame Kaji and her girls, Mizu's trauma after killing Kinuyo, her line to Akemi about how little options women have in life, and the way her husband had scorned her for being more capable than him in battle.
I myself personally fall into the camp of Mizu leaning towards womanhood, so i tend to prefer to use she/her pronouns for her, though I don't think she's strictly a cis woman, so I do still interpret her under the non-binary umbrella. But that's besides my point.
My gripe here, and the thing that spurred me to write this post, is that rarely does this fandom even touch upon the more predominant themes of colonialism and postcolonial identities within the story. So it definitely irks me when people say that the show presenting Mizu being cishet is "boring." While it's completely fine to have your opinion and to want queer rep, a statement like that just feels dismissive of the rest of the representation that the show has to offer. And it's frustrating because I know why this is a prevalent sentiment; because fandom culture is usually very white, so of course a majority of the fandom places greater value on a queer narrative (that aligns only with Western ideas of queerness) over a postcolonial, non-Western narrative.
And that relates to how, I feel, people tend to forget, or perhaps just downplay, that the crux of Mizu's internal conflict and her struggle to survive is due to her being mixed-race.
Because while she can blend in rather seamlessly into male society by binding and dressing in men's clothing and lowering her voice and being the best goddamn swordsman there is, she cannot hide her blue eyes. Even with her glasses, you can still see the colour of her eyes from her side profile, and her glasses are constantly thrown off her face in battle. Her blue eyes are the central point to her marginalisation and Otherness within a hegemonic society. It's why everyone calls her ugly or a monster or a demon or deformed; just because she looks different. She is both white and Japanese but accepted in neither societies. Her deepest hatred of herself stems primarily from this hybridised and alienated identity. It's the whole reason why she's so intent on revenge and started learning the way of the sword in the first place; not to fit in better as a man, but to kill the white men who made her this way. These things are intrinsic to her character and to her arc.
Thus, to refuse to engage with these themes and dismiss the importance of how the representation of her racial Otherness speaks to themes of colonialism and racial oppression just feels tone-deaf to the show's message. Because even if Mizu is a cishet woman in canon, that doesn't make her story any less important, because while you as a white queer person living in the West may feel unrepresented, it is still giving a voice to the stories of people of colour, mixed-race folks, and the myriad of marginalised racial/ethnic/cultural groups in non-Western societies.

was just making my morning cup of tea when my brain inexplicably dished up a long forgotten memory of what must be the most poorly thought out and cartoonishly offensive reality show ever produced (yes, even worse than milf island manor or whatever it’s called) and i had to google it to make sure it was actually real because frankly it seems like it should only be a wildly problematic fever dream.
but no, it was real.
it was called black. white. and it followed two real american families™ supposedly "swapping races" using hyper-realistic "makeup effects" and then going off to interact with society looking like rdj in tropic thunder and the wayans brothers in white chicks in order to "understand" racism and privilege (i mean presumably that was the point but yikes)
and this was not a show made in the 80's when you might expect some coked up executive to have thought it was a good idea, either. it was in fact made in 2006. and wikipedia is telling me that ice cube was one of the producers??
genuinely what were they thinking with this mess??????

I hate the attitude people have of “oh this group I don’t care about at all/as much as others is speaking up about their oppression and the problems they face, I can’t believe they think they’re the most oppressed people in the world 🙄” like speaking about about the issues we face isn’t claiming we suffer more than jesus or some shit, especially when those issues largely go ignored by the same people who consider themselves progressives! People in the southern U.S. are oppressed actually! There is so much racism and classism weaponized against those from the south, and the people who are hit hardest by that will always be those in marginalized communities, southern people of color, southern queer people, southern disabled people, you get the fucking picture! And yeah I think we should be allowed to speak up about this, because self righteous liberals up north will lock their car doors when a person of color walks by and then preach to southerners online that we’re all just too poor and stupid to be as good as them! They’ll blame us for our own oppression and tell us to just pack up and abandon our homes and everything we know otherwise we aren’t worthy of their sympathy. Of course I ain’t saying that southerners are the most oppressed group in the whole world but we should still be allowed to talk about the problems we do face, not just from our governments and our neighbors but from people elsewhere who would rather blame us and mock us and leave us behind than DARE to associate with us.

So I’m still fairly new to asoiaf tumblr. Why is it racist to depict the Martells as POC? They’re “salty” dornish and are said to have olive skin—which is definitely a characteristic of some white populations, particularly in the Mediterranean region, but can also apply to MENA people. The “sandy” dornishmen are said to be darker too. Personally I’ve always imagined the “salty” and “sandy” dornish as Mediterranean but I don’t fully comprehend why it’s inherently racist to imagine them as MENA or Indian. I’ve seen stuff that’s definitely racist, like depicting the dornish as south Asian or MENA and drawing them all in extremely revealing clothing compared to other characters, or the assumption that because Elia was dornish she would’ve been okay with Rhaegar and Lyanna, but I’m having trouble seeing why POC Elia is inherently racist
Hmmmmm...this isn't really a very prevalent idea in fandom though since the majority of people accept the Dornish as POC. I can't say I've ever seen this being a major topic of discussion.
That being said, I personally don't care if people have that headcanon it's just annoying when people discuss it as though it's a fact (if your point requires arguing with the author that should tell you something). Even more so when said headcanon gets used as a prop. Wanting a specific group to be POC just to use it as leverage is uncomfortable, to say the least. It's very tiring to hear that [x] character is racist because they did something Martell stans didn't like. And a lot of it is coming from Elia stans who fetishize her suffering, want her story to be even more tragic, and want reasons to hate Rhaegar and Lyanna. Then a lot of said discussions aren't even given any nuance. It's just "her treatment is racist because she's a woman of color". So is it racist to depict the Martells as POC? No. Is everyone who does so using their identity as a prop? No..but a lot of people do it for the wrong reasons and that is an issue.

hard to articulate but there is a certain type of asian (as in, living/raised in asia) liberal who recognizes that racism is bad esp in their day to day life between various ethnic groups in their country and thinks that any judgement against white people is a form of racism similar to that experienced between asians in asia and they get mad at u when you make white people jokes and it's like... brooooooooo

a hundred little thoughts about this new york vtm trilogy that really don't amount to anything but one of the endings being about a ravnos girl with a vial of blood from her antedeluvian. is this the conclusion of it all. a protagonist everyone has neutral or negative feelings holding something that doesn't have much value and was never relevant in the past games. apparently you get the bad ending by default if you fuck up a mechanic. go girl give us nothing for 5 years.

btw it is actually insane that my dream job is to be a librarian and that that's like legitimately totally not connected to the calendiles thing (have wanted it since i was ten/watched btvs for the first time at fourteen) BUT that their tech vs. print debate is something that actually interested me in them MORE BECAUSE I WAS THINKING ABOUT IT AS A TINY LIL CELIA. like i'm writing stuff for grad school and talking about how cool it is that the library is in a constant state of change and my brain just went "someone made calendiles in a lab for you specifically"

queer isnt a slur and i dont ever really think about ppl using queer community interchangeably or sometimes more than lgbt/+ or anything but i think there is something to be said about third genders being exclusively referred to in lgbt...2, etc (for example: even if theyre not at the front the plus does intrinsically put it in your mind that there is too many identities to be able to mention) meanwhile queer does not refer to us as its MADE to be homogeneous and vague and non-specific, but it still doesnt make a distinction about cultural third gender people. and its because i think white people can really a lot forget that being two spirit (im two spirit i feel most comfortable talking about it but there are more third genders) isnt "indigenous flavour of gay" its. entirely different for each person and tied directly to our culture. many third genders are like this. and i dont necessarily like being told that i have to conform to being called queer because "infighting isnt good right now" when you are perhaps being racist towards me

very controversial trans take; detransitioners are not our enemy. they're people who took the time to question their gender, to explore their identity inside and out, and came to the conclusion that their identity best aligns with what they were assigned at birth. i wish everybody could take the time to sit and think deeply about the identities they hold, particularly things like gender that are inherent, but also deeply socialized. the detransitioners who are spouting anti-trans rhetoric have been taught by the system we live in that even questioning your gender is wrong, so for many of them, that rhetoric is a survival tool for assimilating back into cis society. doesn't make it okay to hold anti-trans views, for certain, but it does expose the fact that the enforcement of a restrictive gender binary hurts everyone, even cis people.

honestly the biggest thing for me in this hamilton (the musical) v hamilton (the person) stuff is just the fact that there is still a hamilton (the musical) fanbase in 2023. that is honest to god mindblowing to me. i thought we'd left the slave owner musical in the past.
#i will note the person complaining about the shared tag is on the spectrum and that musical seems to be a special interest#so i guess. being that passionate makes sense.#also they seem to straight up hate hamilton and like that one red bull driver which.#is surprising to me as another autistic person#who knows that guy dropped ableist +racist slurs in a professional setting twice (2017 then 2020)#and also got to hear firsthand while watching him stream the casual use of one of those slurs.#but i also understand that a LOT of autistic people have difficulty simply dropping special interests or hyperfixations when morally#dubious stuff comes out about them#like hp/the musical i mentioned before etc#at the same time i feel that at times thats also used an excuse to justify continuing liking things/people who#act in harmful ways. because very many autistic people (myself included) can disconnect (its not easy but its doable) when it comes#to harmful special interests. and its use as an excuse generalizes autistic people as a whole as being unable to apply#critical thought to the media we consume which (while true in specific cases for people with specific autistic traits)#makes me uncomfortable. especially when its an issue of the media being racist or antisemetic#a LOT of white autistic and/or queer people try to use those aspects of their identity as an excuse when continuing to follow/support#media or people that portray racist things/behave in a racist manner#which furthet ostracizes the non-white queer and/or autistic people who the petson/media harms#anyway long rant in the tags which is super off topic all this to say i find this situation very very funny#but hope things dont get out of hand and people dont behave shittily to op because god knows#as much as i like lewis hamilton and have many many friends who love and support lewis#the fanbase can fire up needlessly at times and target people with abuse that is ideologically opposite#to a lot of the inclusivity it purports
