#my art #furry #anthro #monster #dragon #oc #not my own but nevertheless #these characters are all lots of fun....thank you everyone for giving me cool guys to draw #also BIG things coming (said for the sixth time over the course of the year)#anyway i went apple picking for the last time this year recently which pretty much brings scrumping season to an end #here's a review: blackberries EARLY. annoyingly early but they were okay. greengages amazing. brings a tear to my eye #cherries SUCKED. cherries do better next year. grapes i'm still harvesting actually but doing well. sweet #and apples kind of popped off!!! year of the ugly apple this year - the beautiful red ones were worse than the scabruous pimply brown ones #which were crisp and had thin skin and a beautiful sweet-mellow-nutty taste...wonderful

But don't forget that in this moment they aren't on great terms.#It's not a knight in shining armor moment - it's a 'you were being treated unjustly and I have the power to absolve you from that.'#And as we are very soon about to see - WWX certainly cannot turn away from those who need aid he can provide.#And like Jin Guangyao; that kindness is also his downfall.#By the way - that you all for the amazing community commentary on the last comic. Guys, do you get it? We put to name these ancient peoples whose bodies vaguely resemble us and we go, "you're one of us, and we will give you a name that we have invented". They are not here to have a voice for themselves, but they are here to be remembered.

it's so funny watching the spanners and the tuff guys both going through their own separate divorce arcs because they're somehow doing the same thing in completely opposite directions. every conversation between the spanners starts with them trying to work together before eventually devolving into yelling at each other and falling apart, and then meanwhile every conversation between the tuff guys immediately starts with them arguing and then resolves with them all saying "alright, let's just agree that we all hate each other, okay?" and functioning completely perfectly afterwards.

im gon keep yapping about the sound design for the magnus protocol because its driving me insane

the difference between the two podcasts is so drastic its FRIGHTENING

The Magnus Archives intro/outro: high-pitched, screeching, eerie, dies off with what sounds like a stone tumbling into the depths and lights turning on/off, water, sounds like the darkness of a cave that you must descend into even though you're terrified, but you do it anyway

The Magnus Protocol intro/outro: LOUD, deep, bone-chilling/shaking, foreboding, it sounds like darkness in a different way, like the great throat of some unknown beast that is hundreds of times larger and older than us and will swallow us whole; it's fear that hunts us, instead of us hunting it

also, side note/addition because i realized i forgot to add WHY it freaked me out

long story short, i was around 50% deaf in my right ear until I was 12 years old (reconstructive surgery truly is something I am so grateful for) and now I'm back to a fairly normal hearing range.

The problem?

I can't hear low tones as easily.

the magnus protocol is heavily reliant on lower tones, so what I hear is likely not how most people hear it, but for me it sputters, almost, parts of it are kind of missing, and I know I'm not hearing it right, which freaks me the fuck out.
