SOME RANDOM THOUGHTS / HEADCANONS ABOUT MAX COOPERMAN

just realized that aside from jake, most of max's relationships with people were either superficial or transactional which he probably just thought was normal growing up as a rich kid who was a "loser" learning that ppl only liked him when he had something to give them.

of course, when he was younger everyone loved to go to his birthday parties b/c his parents were loaded and they always planned something extravagant to try and make up for the fact they were never really around but, as he got older his parents stopped really caring to put on those parties. after that, no one bothered to give max any attention or befriend him unless they saw his wealth as something useful, or just brought him around so he could be the butt of the joke. and the second they got what they wanted from him they discarded him. being the kind-hearted and naive boy he is, he doesn't really fully grasp it until after ryan beats him to a pulp. he brushes off what happens but it honestly profoundly affects him from then on.

he thought ryan was a friend but turns out he was just being taken advantage of, his parents didn't care to come see him in the hospital despite how serious his condition was, and jake, the only genuine friend he ever had, ends up leaving (prolly bc college) and max later refers to him in passing as "a guy i brought up back in the day" which hints that they likely don't talk anymore.

so college starts. a fresh slate. max guards himself with this macho (with a very small hint of being an asshole) persona. he's got a leadership position as the RA of his floor, got two nerdy "friends" that are very reminiscent of ryan and his guys (remember when they snicker along with him at mike?), and a semi-famous reputation online. he loses weight the summer before college and decides to stop fighting (probably caused by the trauma from ryan) but we see he uses hand grips so even he definitely wants to keep himself strong for his physique and to protect himself. though max is still fairly lean which is likely an insecurity for him. the last thing he ever wants to be seen as is a dork.

let's not even talk about how being conditioned like this affects his views on women and relationships. first off in highschool he only gets attention from baja's friends b/c of his association with jake, then in college he gets all this attention because he's "attractive" now and has this cool car, dorm and fame due to the fighting videos + promotions. he's (mostly) only ever made out with drunk women at parties or events that just throw themselves at him but it never goes further than that.

he likely has made himself believe that he should think of women as prizes (again as awful as ryan was max kind of molds his new self with his influences subconsciously. he had the kind of attention, the girls, the intimidation factor max aspires to have), but if a girl were to ever genuinely like him it would fry his brain. he wouldn't understand the idea of someone wanting to spend time with him, even if he wasn't really doing anything. to intently listen to him and partake in his interests. or how much happier you'd look after just going on a walk around campus with him vs. when he bought you jewelry or flowers.

it left him with a feeling he only experienced once before when jake saved him, and went after ryan.

it just clicks for him like-

oh. this is how it feels to be genuinely cared for.

it's not soon after he realizes that you tell him you love him for the first time, while cuddling in bed (he's sure his mother used to say it to him when he was younger but he honestly can't really remember anymore-- the most communication he has with his parents now is the deposits into his bank account).

once the door closes, and you've left for your classes.. he feels the lingering heat of your lips, your words echoing in his head and the way you looked at him...

i see some ppl say that wwx was the one in the wrong for visiting the ancestral hall and bringing in an outsider, bcs that place is reserved for family and wwx has rejected going to lotus pier with jc before

Wei Wuxian wasn't wrong for going to the ancestral hall or for bringing Lan Wangji, because the ancestral hall is not an exclusive area reserved only for family. Wei Wuxian even makes this delineation when Jiang Cheng is sneering about Wei Wuxian traveling around Lotus Pier without Jiang Cheng's express approval:

His voice was chilling, “Wei WuXian, you really don’t take yourself as an outsider, do you? You come and leave whenever you want. You take with you whomever you want. Do you perhaps still remember whose sect this is? Who’s the owner?” Doing this, Wei WuXian wanted to keep it away from Jiang Cheng in the first place. Now that he discovered them, he knew they’d definitely be faced with some vicious remarks. He didn’t want to argue, “I didn’t take HanGuang-Jun to the other, more confidential places of Lotus Pier. What Jiang Cheng wanted when he captured and briefly tortured Wei Wuxian with Fairy back in Chapt. 24 is exactly what his complaints are in the ancestral hall: Wei Wuxian is not showing Jiang Cheng the deference he feels he is owed (and is also being too gay with Lan Wangji). In fact, Wei Wuxian not immediately begging for forgiveness but instead snarking back once captured is why Jiang Cheng calls Fairy over to torture him. He wants Wei Wuxian to admit he was "wrong" for saving Lan Wangji (no longer including Jin Zixuan) at the indoctrination camp "at the expense of the Jiang Clan" and for rescuing the Wen remnants at the expense of continuing to play the role of Jiang Cheng's subordinate. He wants Wei Wuxian to accept blame for the deaths of Jiang Cheng's parents and Jiang Yanli. He wants Wei Wuxian to be filled with regret and say that Jiang Cheng was "right all along" and that Wei Wuxian, himself, is not good enough to have deserved the love and respect from those around him particularly since Jiang Cheng feels like that love and respect was "stolen" from him. What Jiang Cheng wants is for Wei Wuxian to finally be "second place" to him, whether by successfully killing the man like he failed to the first time or by prying the words from the newly-resurrected Wei Wuxian's mouth via guilting and torture, and that was just never gonna happen, as Wen Ning so helpfully points out.

Omori characters as demigods with very complicated family drama for some reason

Let's start happy- Kel and Hero are both sons of Apollo with different mortal parents who... married each other. So like the they're step siblings in the mortal side but also siblings in the Godly side 😭 Their Mama, with Aphrodite's gift passed down, fell in love with Apollo first, giving birth to Hero. Papa got mad for a bit but he also fell in love with Apollo and brought Kel. Orrr they met after getting kids, and became a couple as exes of Apollo, but I thought the former was funnier.

Kel, child of Apollo, Legacy of Hephaestus

Has the gift of Archery, but he mostly uses his perfect aim for basketball. Pretty fast and athletic. Curses rhyming couplets speech on others for pranks hehehe

Really likes music(ref: his jukebox in his room) but doesn't sing or play instruments much. Or well, he doesn't sing the lyrics- he keeps forgetting them lol

Can't heal, but his fast recovery(slightly more than average demigods) makes up for the random injuries he keeps getting running around

This applies to Hero too but they can't lie. They might get better in the future but rn, everyone's alive timeline, they suck at lying(ref: the poker game photos)

I actually added the Hephaestus thing last minute. It's pretty far down the family tree, so the only thing he inherited was speaking to machines(ref: the rock hector) no Kel, the messiness wasn't passed down, stop blaming your great great grandfather.

Hero, child of Apollo, legacy of Aphrodite

Their mother is from a legacy of Aphrodite, so not only did he get Apollo's gift of healing from his fatherly side, he also got Charmspeak from his motherly side.

Since he's naturally good at music, he learnt that one piano piece from Mari very quickly. I have a headcanon that he can't sing but like it's a headcanon so you can ignore that if you want.

Unlike his lil brother and other demigod half siblings, he does NOT have any athletic abilities. Man will run for barely a minute and can't go on any longer. He sticks to healing ppl.

The one time he's actively trying to (nonserious)charm someone, Mari seems sooo unaffected lolol

Next- Sunny and Mari. Mari is a daughter of a mortal mother and demigod father of Poseidon.

Later on, though, Mommy fell in love with Hypnos(God of sleep) which was the beginning of Father's dislike for Sunny.

Sunny, child of Hypnos

Demigod powers were kept a secret from the kids bec that'd be admitting Mommy cheated. Sunny always had conscious and vivid dreams, thinking it was normal.

Later on, him and Mari are taught by Hecate bec of their good visualisation and memory, though Sunny used it for fun and battle while Mari only manipulated the mist to keep up her good student record at school. Ok wait shoot this supposed to be abt Sunny.

Uhhh when their demigod sides were revealed, Sunny used his power to manipulate his friends' dreams when they come to him for nightmares (ex: Aubrey, Basil.)

Mari, legacy of Poseidon

Ok yall are gonna be like "why didn't you make Mari child of Apollo instead of Kel and Hero" ok it's because she'd been more sporty before she started learning piano (i think?? Ok maybe that was more fanon than canon) but her piano skills had to be learned.

Her knee was bad for a while and bec of that she avoided swimming. That time Sunny was drowning, however, Mari didn't care and just jumped in to save him. Looky here, her knee healed up! Should've gone swimming sooner.

Can't control the water, can't stay dry, can't speak to animals, but they all like her so she'll never die of tsunamis and sharks. Can't drown either, but it still isn't a good idea to stay underwater for too long..

Actually no she can control a tiny sprinkle of water, just enough to make Iris messages or cause distractions. Or scare monsters into thinking she has more powers from Poseidon.

Aubrey, child of Zeus

Please don't just think I'm gonns make her like Thalia. I mean her mom's messed up too and they got the cool aesthetic and. Um. Sighs.

Latched onto Mari immediately bec of the Big Three Godly power attracting monsters. She's more powerful than her, being a direct daughter of Zeus, but respects her a lot ++

Can fly but she'd rather ride her motorbike. Bec of this, people thought she's a kid of Ares. The war god does wish she was his kid, but alas, he cannot adopt.

Hera hates her the most. The feeling is mutal.

Gives tiny shocks to Kel when he's annoying her. He always thought she was being too harsh on him, until he saw what she does to the real enemies. It's very dangerous to be in her vicinity when she's mad.

Basil, child of Dionysus

Thought he was a child of Demeter? So did he. IM SORRY DJWNDNSAHAHAH I thought it'd be hilarious. This isn't plot convenient, it's joke convenient.

""Basil.. My daughter- I mean, your mother died when you were so young.. Please forgive me for letting this happen.." Grandma held his hand sorrowfully.

"It's okay, I understand," Basil smiled kindly, all the while thinking his mom was a lesbian who fell in love with Demeter.

Has pretty powerful vine control. He only used his powers for battle and never for his planting hobby, so he didn't realise that his powers were limited to grapevines.

Besties with Aubrey, especially when she told him her home situation. Made all her mother's alcohol taste bad. Hates Hera along with her and calls her granny.

Extras:

Kim and Vance are children of Hermes. It's the catalyst for their mortal parents' divorce

Angel is a child of Ares. Again, I thought it was funny 👉👈 his sister(Artist) is completely mortal but can see through the mist, even ones made by other half-bloods

Charlene and her siblings are children of Hades. Doesn't she have 5 siblings? Hades what the heck.

Mikhael, Daphne, and Bowen are children of Athena. I did this for Mikhael's journey throughout the game, trying to find another talent to separate himself from his family. Absolutely hates his cap of invisibility.

Cris is a child of Poseidon, very cool and lowkey. Actually the one to tell him *not* to claim her bec swimming had been her favourite thing until she spiraled wondering if it was because she was a child of the sea god or if it was really her. :)

Mincy is a child of Demeter! :D she likes to use her powers to make places look prettier(ex:playground) and practice flower drawings.. and when she's on the art grind, she just summons a fruit to eat rq and continue. Gotta be careful, if she overworks herself, she gets artblock until the next spring.

Polly, all hail Polly, I heard ppl theorize that Sally from pjo was a daughter of Aphrodite so I'm gonna do that with her. Polly's a daughter of Aphrodite. Ofc she is.

He ran a hand through Evan’s platinum curls as he sung the line. Evan leaned into it, eyes meeting Barty’s, grinning as he sung.

Evan’s fingers moved deftly on the guitar, he lifted a hand, twirled the pick in his hand before resuming immediately, he didn’t take his eyes off Barty the entire song.

Evan was sat at the base of the sofa, scrolling through the comments on a video of their performance last night. He held the phone up to Barty on the sofa, who squinted before taking it and reading it out to the room.

“Skittlefiend57 says ‘omg Blarty and Evan! I’m so gone 4 them u guys’”

“Blarty?”

Regulus raised an eyebrow.

“We’ve been getting my name wrong all these years guys. Wow that’s a crazy thing to discover at 23.”

“Bad spelling aside, there’s way more. And it’s not all good stuff.”

Evan said and Barty looked back down at the comments. 

“Barty and Evan are queerbaiting, they act so gay but they’re not dating. It’s all clearly faked to get attention. Fucking pathetic. Why thank you peenisonapizza. Glad to see you know us personally and can therefore speak on our behalf.”

“Don’t know why they’re obsessed with accusing a band with two trans guys of queer baiting.”

Evan pinched his furrowed brow and shook his head in disbelief.

“They don’t even care about the fucking music, just us and whether we’re dating or not.”

Barty laid down on the sofa, dropping one arm around Evan and resting his chin on Evan’s shoulder.

“Hey cheer up Rosie. They care about the music. There’s a few assholes but that’s a given. If they weren’t talking about us acting gay they’d be talking about whether my tattoos are real or fake.”

“Or some conspiracy theory that Reggie’s not actually lactose intolerant.” 

Pandora chipped in.

“I’m not lactose intolerant!”

Regulus replied indignantly.

“Is that you talking or your obsession with chocolate?”

Dorcas rolled her eyes as she spoke. Regulus avoided her gaze as he mumbled out a half hearted response.

“Remus got me hooked on Tony’s chocolonely.”

While the rest of the group squabbled Evan leaned his head back against Barty’s shoulder, he pulled out his phone.

Evan breathed in and passed the phone to Barty.

“You think this is good?”

Barty read it over and nodded.

“You’ve been really nice about it too.”

Evan huffed out a laugh.

“I was normal about, not my fault you would have said something like-“

“Roses are red, violets are blue, you are a cunt and I hate you @peenisonapizza.”

Barty took a small bow, flourishing his hand dramatically. Evan turned around and flicked him in the leg, which only succeeded in making him laugh. 

 “Ok I’ve posted it.”

Evan clicked post and watched as the ‘likes’ number quickly began to climb.

“Now I’m just not gonna read the comments on that post.”

Evan huffed out a laugh and Barty patted his shoulder.

“Good on you Rosie. Now who wants to watch a movie?”

Evan clambered onto the sofa next to Barty who leaned against him immediately, head resting on his shoulder.

“Rosie.”

Barty whispered.

“Yeah Bee?”

“Give me your phone. Look we both know it will bother you all evening not reading those comments if you have your phone on you. Just- out of sight out of mind, I’ll give it back to you once the movie is over but you deserve to have an evening off.”

Barty’s eyes were wide, expression genuine as he spoke. Evan hesitated then reached in his pocket for his phone.

“Don’t spam it with photos alright?”

A smirk spread on Barty’s face quickly, eyes sparkling.

“I make no promises Ev.”

Evan rolled his eyes but handed the phone over. 

The movie was something Pandora had picked, something from the late 80s, a strange mix of fantasy, reality and meta theatre that Evan actually didn’t hate.

Still he drifted to sleep at some point watching it, the stress of the day had clearly gotten to him and something about the way the top of Barty’s head made for a great pillow probably didn’t help.

Either way he woke up to the feeling of Barty shaking him.

“Come on sleeping beauty, let’s get you to a real bed. Here’s your phone back.”

Evan rubbed his eyes and got up, stumbling to his room as thanked Barty in a half asleep murmur.

He got to his room and turned on his phone, wincing at the glaring brightness, turning it down quickly. He opened his photos app, just as he’d suspected his camera roll was filled with new photos.

He began to scroll through them. There was one of his friends, all waving at the camera. A zoomed in shot of Inigo Montoya‘s face on the TV screen from a funny angle. Himself, looking dumb, sleeping with his mouth slightly open. He scrolled to the next picture and stopped. Barty with that cheeky grin of his, curled up against Evan, flipping off the camera. Eyes twinkling in that way that always made Evan feel a little warmer, a little brighter. He fell asleep again dreaming of a body pressed against his in a hug, the hum of a movie no longer playing, soft hair tickling his face and mischief painted in big brown eyes.

I honestly haven't fully figured it out yet and I don't know what I might come up with going forward, but for now I thought it would be really funny if she was a pjo!verse mortal because

You know all those times Percy became a world famous terrorist? Yes. MC has heard about them and even though Percy was innocent in the end the mist makes the story so vague and disjointed in an attempt to cover up the mythological stuff. Because of this, she is much more worried about Percy in the beginning and sees her as a ticking time bomb, constantly recalling all the times there has been a new explosion involving Percilla Jackson on the news. Оf course, in the end it will be clear that Percy is not the danger that should be worried about, even the complete opposite. But I'm going to try to stretch this subplot as much as possible because the MISUNDERSTANDING LMFAO.

We can get a different perspective on the events that happened in pjo (like the Battle of Manhattan) through the eyes of ordinary people and how it inpacted their lives.

Regarding the crumbling soul issue, I want to explore the difference between Percilla, who learns from a young age what curses and problems it means to be a god, and MC, who is only aware of an idealized perfect version of immortality. It will take her a while before she realizes their true nature, but will it be too late and she will already be one of them? 😏

Also this story will be my way of trying to find the answer to why the Bisford dragged them there lmaoo. (I probably won't contrive anything, but the important thing is to try 😂)

I think the fear and awe she has of Percy in the beginning while thinking of her as a terrorist 😭 will appease the yans enough to see her for what she is which is just an annoying pet who will die in a few decades (which is like a few months to them lol) and until then they'll just put up with her and keep her alive because if that's what Percy wants..well who are they to say no?

Poor Percy in the beginning when she just wants to be her friend and will wonder why MC can't just trust her when she's doing everything she can to help her survive. Eventually they'll figure things out and laugh later, but until then the only ones laughing are us watching the ridiculous situations they get into 😂😂

(and the idea of ​​ariel saving her from drowning is so good omg. if it's ok can i use it somewhere in the story?🥺❤️ )

AND A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ABOUT THE PJO EVENTS???? mc was there to experience some of that chaos!? now you got me curious how old mc is. was she around the same age as percy??? how old would she be in the story now that some time has passed? or are you gonna put a time difference between the two universes (like hundreds of years have passed in ror verse, but back in pjo, percy's only been missing for like 5?). ooooh, is this set after hoo? what's the state of the pjo verse without percy there to stop gaea??? i'm so curious lol, dw you don't have to answer these

I ALSO LOVE THE DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES OF IMMORTALITY/GODHOOD. it is very normal for people to like the thought of immortality/godhood because they have a rose tinted view of it. ppl don't immediately think of the downsides like "omg i'm gonna leave my family behind forever, i can't get attached to other mortals cuz they'll die while i live on, can i really handle all of this???" cuz the whole "be beautiful looking and perfect forever, have unlimited power, control the universe!!!!!" part of godhood would sound sooooo good to ppl.

Hello again!! I was wondering... if you have the time, could you make a post about which type of yandere Akai and Furuya would be? I kind of already think it might be a little ooc for them, but just a small what if that was at the back of my mind. Honestly, I kind of think Furuya would be a more of a Harmless yandere. I dunno about Akai, though... I kind of think they'd be possessive 100% of course, a little more than normal. But that's all I think. Also, hope you're doing well :)

Ooooh I actually never thought about them as yanderes, but this had me wondering immediately. I do think Furuya would be relatively harmless - he wouldn't hurt you, however, he would still be slightly delusional: he does stalk you (although not typically following you, unless he knows you'll be out late and he'll make extra sure you won't notice and get scared - he just wants to make sure nothing happens to you). Usually he keeps tabs on you through trackers and cameras (but not intruding in your intimate moments - he is still a gentleman). The furthest he would go violence-wise would be killing someone who has seriously harmed you. It's a bit weird. He has his moral code - and yet is delusional enough to believe obsessively tracking you is a crime that is alright to commit. He is, most likely, however aware that it is a crime. It's a weird mix of awareness and delusional. A relationship would still include the stalking (or him being overbearingly worried), but other than that "relatively" normal. (If you could say thay)

Akai is very much aware and doesn't care. But, lucky for you, he doesn't really have the time/is too emotionally distant to actually "commit". Compared to Furuya, he is more likely to go the kidnapping route, but that is still more of a fancy of his than anything he would actually do. Where would he put you? He's often away - who would feed you? He keeps tabs on you, but doesn't check on you obsessively like Furuya. It's more like a...nice evening activity, if he has the time. Sitting on the couch or his desk with a bourbon, just watching you - or even just a dot on his phone - move around.

While Furuya might seriously try and integrate himself into your life, Akai would be more like a looming shadow you'll never (and I mean never) know about. Because he'll most likely never reveal himself. He treats it like a passing fancy or a nice hobby to pass the bit of free time he has - kind of like how some think about getting a pet even though they travel a lot.

In a relationship with Akai he honestly doesn't go incredibly overboard. He still treats the stalking etc. as more of a hobby. Maybe there's a bit of an intimidating vibe emanating from him - at least other ppl will tell you that - but he (seems to) treat you pretty well. He's amused by you and your behaviours and reactions; seeing you perhaps a little bit as a pet here and there, but other than that he's a..."decent" bf.

this is kinda random idk but u might find it funny. as my involvement in the pjo fandom, i have curated my experience away from the "main" fandom- the puriteens, book purists, those against multishipping, antishippers, ect, following ppl who are ok with ideas that are out there, and yk, not "moral" (<-very important phrasing later). When one of my friends was like, oh i'm into pjo too! i was very excited to talk to them. HOWEVER. i was quickly reminded how my experience is very different 😭. they ask me what my favorite ship is. i say valgrace. they give me a questioning look. it's fine, whatever, not everyone is gonna like my ships. i ask them. they say, percabeth and solangelo. i say, oh cool! me personally i like to ship nico w other ppl. they look at me. "what...other people." so now, im feeling a little unsure. i say i like percico. almost immediately, a look of disgust forms. "how?!? how could u like that? that's so disgusting... percy is so much older, ew!" now, i'm kinda affronted. i say i usually interact when they are aged up, and i really like the dynamic. however, they still say it's "disgusting" and "morally bad" (<- this is the phrasing). i question how it can be morally bad. they say that bc of how nico is infatuated w percy earlier in the books, it's inappropriate. atp, im so confused, and frankly, done w the convo. i don't even want to MENTION lukabeth. anyway, it was just a shock for me to see how some people in the fandom think. so, ig thank u for ur fics and posts! i always love seeing them. srry for the long ask!

honestly i get kinda burnt out on the discourse and scorn, the “no wait if i change this dynamic would it be okay? would i get into heaven? 🥺” (not saying that’s what you’re doing, this is commentary on fandom as a whole). the only reason people should alter things in their creative works is for their own convenience and comfort, no one else’s. in some of my works, i alter things for my comfort (example: aged up lukercy smut where percy is 19 & luke is 26—the age gap is still in play but it’s legal within the context and world of the fic), sometimes i don’t alter things if i’m writing darkfic (example: basically the entirety of spoils of war). neither one is “illegal”/“morally wrong”, they’re both equally fiction.

i get so lost in the depths of the “problematic” things that i write sometimes, a lot of the times i forget that there are layers above me in which people consider the most mundane things blasphemous—it kinda surprises me, though i tend to look the other way and ignore it.

Tbh i don’t even see anything wrong with that percico dynamic, even from a potential darkfic angle. There are ways to make the ship dark, but that’s not it—it’s actually very normal to have a crush on an older person when you’re younger (as long this isn’t an irl, they return the feelings, “you’re mature for your age” situation if ykwim), get over the crush, and then when you’re both older you drift back to each other, and it’s sort of like a rebirth. percico isn’t even my favorite ship, though i do enjoy that dynamic.

idk, my advice would be not to take what your friend says to heart. If this is an irl friend, keep them close and try to be chill and avoid arguments, even if you know that your take on fiction is actually correct and normal, lol. chances are from what you’ve sent you guys are young, maybe high school, which is when i was deep in my anti beliefs. chances also are, at some point, your friend is gonna take interest in something outside of the mass-pre-approved “appropriate” ships and topics (tbh i wouldn’t be in this fandom anymore if i was limited to 1-2 “allowed” ships, much less “allowed” content (yk all their smut is only in missionary after marriage 🧍), i would have lost my mind lmao). at that point, they might start coming around to broader horizons, who knows.

i think jotaro is actually a no-op trans guy for most of his life!! so no top surgery </3 even though i've drawn him wit the scars cause i do think he'd like the look of them. he's a guy who values his privacy even when it comes to doctors and since he passes well without operations anyway due to the natural high amount of testosterone i think every joestar has (even cis women like holly or jolyne), he's just not concerned with getting out there to get an operation as much as he is with keeping his affairs to himself. plus i can't see him having a super big bust size in the first place since he canonically did track and was a runner when he was young, which is, er, let's say, not friendly to ppl with big busts (no idea how hermes did it 😭 that had to have hurt). so i think he just views it as not worth getting, esp cause i think he has more bottom dysphoria than top. I don’t think we should be attempting to armchair diagnose a dead man with anything. Michael was a very abused individual… he continuously said this was part of the reason he enjoyed more simple, “childish” things as an adult. He wasn’t just an abused person, he was also the main attraction when it came to the musical family of the Jackson’s. As such, he faced things his siblings did not and it affected him more than them.

Michael had a soft voice because that’s just how he was. I don’t see how autism would give someone a soft voice, and this is coming from a man who is neurodivergent himself. And Michael could speak lower than that, btw. A lot of ppl assume he spoke very gently (aside from it just being his personality) to protect his vocal chords, and while there isn’t proof one way or another, this would at least make sense.

Michael was a genius in many ways, and was obviously a very intelligent man. He was born with gifts that seem almost impossible for someone to have all at once. He was in every way, a prodigy.

We can’t sit and try to differentiate Michael’s behavior when he isn’t even alive, let alone the fact that he rarely gave interviews to begin with. He did not enjoy the press, or speaking much to the public. There’s also the fact that Michael was unlike any other human that’s ever lived… his life was extraordinary. So how can we say for sure, when his behavior could also have very easily been due to the highly unusual circumstances of his life?

MJ loved having simple innocent fun. He liked playing games, liked having water balloon fights, liked pulling innocent pranks, etc. I don’t find this to be proof of autism nor do I find it unusual for so many reasons.

1) He was famous as a 5 year old. And he never got a break from that fame. He became the most famous human that has ever walked the earth. He simply never had the opportunity to be normal, to be a child, to have fun in that way.

2) He was very badly abused throughout his life. His father beat him, he was teased constantly to the point he wouldn’t look in mirrors, he was being shown actual pornography on TV during interviews when he was 12 years old…. He was performing in strip clubs, prostitutes and such would make sexual passes at him, many women took advantage of him and Madonna herself sexually harassed and abused him on more than one occasion. Michael was deathly afraid of his father to the point he was literally vomiting whenever his dad would visit him… he was well into his 20’s at the time. He also would be in the room or sitting right outside the door when his older brothers would be hooking up with girls, so he was again being exposed to very mature things far too young. This isn’t getting into the abuse he suffered at the hands of the media and public.

Now tell me… if that were you, do you think you would be “normal” to the public afterwards?

3) He was constantly having to work his ass off. He never got breaks from dealing with complicated things like business deals, tour, rehearsals etc.

So having silly fun for him was relieving in a lot of ways. Michael also cared so much for children and was a very strong advocate against child abuse. Which is a huge reason he was constantly around children and doing things for children. Michael was raised to do charity work like that. He was a devout JW for a lot of his life, and believed very strongly in the Bible verse: “whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest among me in the kingdom of Heaven.”

I don’t think it matters why Michael was the way he was. At the end of the day, he was an incredible person who used his talents to give us art that we can enjoy forever. He saved millions of lives across the world through his humanitarian efforts and he did it all without being asked and without receiving as much as a thank you. And I think we should celebrate that rather than focus on rumors or on creating new ones. He loved children, and all people, and unlike other artists he truly brought the world together and taught us to love and to have hope.

Who cares why? We should be grateful it even existed at all.

I’m good, I dyed my hair once more (just added pink onto the fading blue so now the tips are purple <3).

We don’t open at 8AM (we open at 10:30, which there were customers who came in as soon as we opened) but I was in the back for two and a half hours prepping the dishes (spreading dough on pans and etc. which I could be spreading your dough, if you catch my drift 😏).

It’s okay that you don’t know what Eddsworld is lol, it was popular back in like late 2000s, early 2010. There was an animator named Edd who made wacky little animations of him and his friends going on made up adventures, but he sadly passed away from cancer in 2012. One of his friends is continuing his legacy and they still create animations in honor of him which I think is super sweet :] (honestly Edd was a main inspiration for me to get into drawing self-art and such). But yeah 🫶

Sleeping with Sebastian can actually be pretty speedy, if there's chemistry off the bat and you pass the 'vibe check' (not be a total dickbag or otherwise emotionally unattractive. Someone he feels he won't regret in the morning, especially given he's a virgin.) That speaks more to his intense touch starvation and willingness to use sex as another form of distraction and superficial human connection, though it's certainly possible to build a relationship with him from this foundation eventually (he's a soft boy deep inside who rly wants that real connection, he's just terrified of reaching out for it and expecting the other person to get bored and drop him anyway).

Winning his heart, however, is a process no matter who you are.

He's a very reserved individual. If he gets along with someone, he can relax enough to tease and be snarky but that's still with layers of walls underneath. He grew up emotionally neglected/abused in an environment of favoritism against him since about 7-8 years of age, which would fuck anyone up tbh. This has left him with a crippled self-esteem and natural wariness with people who try to get closer to him.

Even Sam had to earn his way, after he moved to Pelican Town. Abigail had it easiest because she and Seb grew up together. He's particularly aloof and avoidant with people whose personalities are different from his own: extroverted, arrogant, loud (god, he hates loud). He spends most of his time on his own, which he expects to be respected regardless of relationship status, which can put a snag on trying to spend time with him.

That said, there are chinks in that armor he's always wearing:

Keeping up a good banter with him will catch his interest; he loves someone who can tease and comfortably be teased back.

He's a bit competitive, so good games of pool can be an opportunity for him to show off and/or show you up.

Paying attention to him enough to notice things he likes or needs and act accordingly will surprise him, as he's grown to not expect it from anyone. (Honestly, just paying genuine attention to him at all is a good thing. As I said earlier, he's a victim of neglect.)

Understand his moods and where he's coming from when they aren't pretty. He's understandably got some anger/bitterness issues that can flare up with the wrong topics. He's generally levelheaded, so that tends to be more of a specific circumstance (his family, especially his stepdad Demetrius). Accept the uglier parts of him and he'll realize he's safe enough to show them and lower that much more of his guard. As he was always the scapegoat at home, that can be a very important form of development between you and him. Even if you fight, he's pretty good about coming back and owning up once he's had time to cool down and think. He'll hope that you're the same way.

His love language is Words of Affirmation. He craves validation more than he lets on. He wants to be wanted, to be enough. Give that to him sincerely, where he'll believe you mean it, and it'll go a long way. (His giving language is Acts of Service btw).

You can generally get a sense of when it is and isn't okay to approach him when he's outside alone. If he looks relaxed, just lost in his thoughts, he'll likely welcome your company (or at the very least tolerate yours). If he looks stiff and like he could glare a hole into the ground, maybe leave him be.

He likes to share opinions with ppl he likes, getting their perspective on things, being introduced to new ways of thinking. He'll be paying attention and remembering things about you just the same. If he finds you pleasant and interesting to talk to, he'll stick around.

He's infamously stubborn and independent, but he also takes poor care of himself. While he's normally resistant to being taken care of, in those moments where he can't argue or fight back, it really does give him some dokis when someone takes that time and effort for him.

Just get to know him, rly. As you are with him, he is with you. With patience and persistence, you'll work your way through his layers to the soft, vulnerable, sweet, introspective, observant, empathetic, compassionate, affectionate, considerate, and loving man deep within.

If you're going for his heart, the whole shebang, it takes some elbow grease to get there. He is a great guy, but also a damaged one. With all of that, everything, the best method to getting close to him really is just time and effort.

I promise you, he's worth it 100%.

Ok. I usually don’t spill the beans about what I plan to write (mainly bc I need to keep up the motivation), but this would be an exception bc I always make exception for rarepairs.

Anw. About Clovis and Nico.

I have many jumbling thoughts about them but Ig it all comes down to two things:

1/ Their stories

2/ Their powers, down to their very core.

When I say the stories, here’s the thing

Nico has a lot of history, whereas Clovis does not. Obviously. Nico has been around as the deuteragonist since book 3, whereas Clovis barely makes an appearance. The difference in their screen time is abyssal.

But look at it in the normal way. If Nico was to play a character, what does that make Clovis?

An observer.

Why? Because Clovis, as it turns out, has the potential to be the one who knows the most, seeing as the Hypnos’ cabin is literally the central station of the highway through which all dreams must pass through.

And dreams, essentially, are just fragments of one’s life stories.

So look at it this way. Nico is a character. Clovis is the observer, and from that, a story teller.

- He is frankly a stranger but he may know a lot more about Nico than a mere stranger would. Isn’t that romantic? (A little creepy but let’s not delve on that)

- Nico wouldn’t be alone. He might think he’s alone, but if we take in the assumption that Clovis knows about his struggles, he might offer silent help without prying too much.

Think of it this way. You’re struggling and you’re just so tired but every way you look at is a dead-end. And then suddenly someone comes and takes your hand and opens a new door and you just collapse in their arms crying as they tell you “It’s gonna by okay”

- Clovis is a son of the Underworld too. What does it mean? It means the “ppl don’t like children of hades” doesn’t mean shit. Clovis would be the exception to whatever Nico has had to deal with from CHB.

- Rick makes Nico an insomnia and I’m monopolizing it for Clovico bc not letting Clovis in this is obviously Clovis-erasure. The potential is hitting me in the face. I’m sending Nico off to Hynpos’ cabin at every chance I get.

- Sleep dates every night bc I SAID SO. Nico getting over his touch-fright thanks to piling up in pillows and blankets with the Hypnos children so much.

It’s literally a new world right there.

And oh would you look at that. Who could enter this realm? Oh right! Children of Hades and Hypnos.

Nico and Clovis (and other children of Hypnos Morpheus ofc) have a whole world to themselves, no shit.

- Here’s a thing I like ab what Rick did in HOO: Through the dreams, Nico could connect with the Hypnos cabin in general and Clovis in specifics, thousands of miles away from them.

So what does this mean? It means that, no matter where Nico is, he can always find his way to Clovis.

Just fall asleep and then let his dream lead him.

when u think abt the timing of bts and blackpinks debut time there really wasnt much competition they were a one of their own type as one direction had just broken up (also rip liam 😭) ik lots of ppl like to peddle the narrative bts paved the way but i do feel like they got a leg up or a helping hand some way or other. also 7 is kinda a masonic number jsyk...

i dont feel like their success was totally all themselves and dare i say some of them mightve been passed around for such sexual favours or something much worse that we dont know about. if the diddy + taeil stuff has only just come about then i cant fathom what worse things they could have to do in order to debut. all these foreign groups love to cater to western audience so it makes me fail to believe they havent had a leg up from evil western entertainments ways of doing things. if that makes sense? i do think they sugarcoated their real hardships cause its more marketable and that they havent really told everything they have experienced in their predebut years.

what i find hard to believe as well is how quickly they were kinda just everywhere? again its not hard to fool ppl especially with the internet that has also aided these foreign groups to get more known. but also every other group or band has "got rid of" a member before either by the members own choice ie: drugs and alchohol and im really surprised that they still are almost in tact even scandals cant seem to touch bts too hard if that sounds right to say? ie: agust dui fine really was nothing at all compared to if he had done it in the west and seungri gets a slap on the wrist for his crimes. same for blackpink really who can seemingly half ass everything and theyre still good to go next year sorry for my rambling but ehh i needed to say it even blackpink have been a little bit dissapointing tbh

I do feel BTS' growth was organic, but then it became its own animal. I have gotten undertones in my reading of idols entertaining parties for favors, that could be to get deals, success, or to appease these perverts in the industry. I didn't know why I got that energy, but I did get it. Yeah, it surprises me that BTS is very hidden well, which means I feel HYBE is very good at hiding sh** and controlling the narrative, and the government definitely works with the industry, they are closely tied, so they help another out, so they may hide stories to keep them safe, that is what I get intuitively, because I am surprised with their fame nothing crazy has been leaked and I don't see these boys as squeaky clean. I don't see them as horrible though, I won't assume. I will be real Blackpink's success surprises me, not hating but other girl groups outshine them, but luck, having visibility and yeah, maybe playing the game better got them where they are. I just don't trust the industry anymore, so I question everyone who is crazy successful these days. I just think, what type of crazy stuff did you do to get there. I am so glad I am a normal person, living a normal life, because fame is no joke and a different breed, it isn't for the weak, because it will swallow you up and destroy your self-worth.
