the rain trickled down the walls of their house, the streets pooling with water. shoes kicked the puddles as they passed down, caleb’s laughter filling the small courtyard of the house. y/n’s hand was laced with his, eyes locked straight on him as he watched caleb readjust the umbrella.

“seriously, you must have broken this thing. it’s holding more water than it’s repelling.” caleb complained, a section of the umbrella that was turned in spilling water out onto the ground, y/n almost in the splatter. he let out a soft scream, caleb’s eyes shut in a fit of laughter before y/n pushed him, the taller boy stumbling towards the covered porch and in return dragging y/n along with him. “i’m sorry! it wasn’t intentional, but that was amazing timing.”

y/n didn’t respond, a frown on his face as he adjusted the straps of his backpack after he pulled out his keys from the front pocket. he continued to leave caleb with no response, unlocking the door quickly and running inside. y/n’s hands reached out to the knob on the interior, trying to shut it closed before caleb could get inside. a sharp yelp left caleb’s mouth as he let the umbrella drop to the floor with a thud. 

“i’m sorry, y/n! please let me inside, the rain is getting stronger!” 

“you should’ve thought about that before getting water all over my pants!”

the two fought, both pushing up against the door on opposite sides to change the doors path. with one final step, caleb finally broke y/n’s hold on the door and pushed himself inside, his body collapsing onto the entryway of the house. y/n let out a laugh, pushing caleb’s long legs with his foot so he could close the door. caleb let out a groan, y/n squatting down to play with his hair. “sorry, that was a bit mean. you okay?” y/n asked, caleb nodding. 

“you should look at the umbrella.” he countered, the navy blue umbrella sitting in the corner of the room, metal spokes bent in different directions. y/n looked back at caleb, the two of them holding a serious expression on their faces, before they broke out into a loud laughter. y/n gracefully helped caleb stand up, giving him enough time to shake off his tennis shoes before dragging the both of them up to y/n’s room.

their backpacks joined each other on the floor beside the door of y/n’s room, mimicking the two friends as they sat right on top of each other. y/n’s upper body was spread on top of caleb’s legs, a bored gaze in his eyes as he readjusted himself to find a more comfortable spot on the muscle. caleb stared down at the boy, a soft, almost unnoticeable smile resting on his lips as he moved his hand to rest on his waist. his fingers curled gently, y/n not recognizing the sensation until caleb began restlessly moving his hand up and down. 

“caleb,” y/n began, his eyes closing at the gentle touch, bright smile resting on his lips. the words he wanted to say didn’t end up escaping his mouth, his body instead curling closer to caleb’s chest. the room turned quiet, the sound of the rain pelting on the windows acting as music serenading their afternoon. y/n’s breathing turned slow and uniform, his body curled into a ball around caleb’s. 

deciding to not waste time, caleb leaned over to his backpack to pull out his calculus homework, a neutral expression on his face as he adjusted y/n’s position, making it so he could put his workbook on the boy’s hips comfortably. he barely stirred, allowing caleb to work in silence.

the seconds turned to minutes, which turned to an hour passing as caleb worked, y/n’s eyes fluttered open, a soft groan escaping his lips. “what time is it?” he muttered, caleb’s free hand shifting to rub y/n’s hair gently as he woke up. 

“it’s 5:07.” caleb curtly replied, his pencil pressed against his chin as he thought about the problem on the page. y/n’s eyes shut for a moment before reopening, gaze fixed on caleb.

”are you doing your homework on me again?” he asked lazily, caleb nodding with a smile. y/n slowly sat up, attempting to grab the workbook from caleb’s grasp. caleb retaliated, taking the book in his hand and reaching up towards the ceiling, y/n only able to lazily grab for it. “bring it down! you’re not doing your homework!” y/n yelled, caleb taunting him by moving the book around.

”no, i think i want to keep working-“ he spoke, not expecting y/n to grasp his shirt to try and reach for it, caleb’s weight shifting enough that he was now hovering over y/n. “woah.” he whispered, y/n’s eyes still heavy with sleep, lashes covering a portion of his iris. caleb’s gaze was locked on the boy’s face, y/n’s lips parted to show his teeth.

the room turned quiet once again, except this time was filled with a tension that underlined the musical raindrops, something that heightened with each breath they both took. was it the humidity? or was it the bond between them, something that bordered platonic and romantic.

had y/n always been this pretty? had caleb always been this pretty?

their heads inched closer and closer together, the inch of space turning to a centimeter before turning into nothing as their lips connected. the connection was akin to a lightning strike, caleb’s lips containing a gravitational pull that almost burned with how strongly it tied them together.

caleb was careful, his hands planted on y/n’s waist with a surprising amount of delicacy, almost like he was afraid to harm y/n. y/n’s hands moved to hold their place in caleb’s hair, fingers already knowing all the spots to go to make him relax under his touch. for a first kiss, it was anything but brief, the feeling too good to let go.

even a supernova wouldn’t contain enough energy to explain the rush caleb gave y/n in this moment, his slow, consistently moving lips a constant source of caffeine breaking apart his veins. all that energy was fast moving but comfortable, like a soft flower enveloping them as their lips lazily moved back in forth in a coordinated dance. their moves could’ve been rehearsed before, with how perfectly they slotted together, but there couldn’t have been any practices.

the day continued as a blur after the kiss, the rain drowning y/n’s thoughts out like the puddles that grew larger outside of their home. did they even kiss? or was it a memory from his dream that he thought was reality as he woke from his daze? caleb never asked him about it, so he assumed it was a reality-like dreamland, and he had made a fool of himself once again. even if it wasn’t real, it was still their secret, kept under tight and locked lips if every reminded about it.

maybe it was real. or maybe it wasn’t. rain and flower petals made things misleading, and those two things could be from anything, not a kiss from his best friend.

ahhh i love chubby!reader and spencer!! what if she overheard someone talking about her weight in a negative way and when she runs into spencer he instantly goes into his own kind of awkward comfort mode bc he secretly has THE biggest crush on you and any other time he would be VERY proud that he managed to get you to hug him but now you’re crying and oh no he doesn’t want you to be sad especially not over the way you look!!

It’s gross. To hear people make comments about your body behind your back in the way you do.

It’s all snide, backhanded comments disguised as compliments. Your stomach rolls because none of your team is near enough to hear them and you don’t feel like making a scene.

Your mind changes when you hear, ‘And it’s so obvious she likes him but what would he do with a girl like her? He’s less than half her size. She doesn't deserve someone like him.’

Your blood boils and you flick away imaginary dust and lint from your clothes before making yourself known.

“You might not like the way I look but you’re much more unattractive than you find me because that’s just vile. You should be ashamed of yourselves. It's none of your business but Spencer and I are dating.”

The local officers blanch and you walk off ignoring their stunned silence and stutters for an apology.

Your hands shake as you sit next to your team and you’re silly for thinking Spencer wouldn’t notice it. Spencer noticed when you had dusted the ends of your hair a week ago.

"Are you okay?" he asks, voice so low it's barely a murmur. Spencer's eyes remain trained on you as you nibble on your lip trying to decide what to do.

"I've been better," you say and Hotch saves you from more questions by instructing, "Y/N I need you to speak to the local police and get every name they have for people who came in."

No one else notices the way your back stiffens as you stand. Spencer does, "I'll go with her, and we'll call Garcia."

Spencer takes you to a secluded hallway and tips your chin up, "What happened, sweetheart?" it's cruel for him to whip that out at work, but it has the same effect it does when you're at home curled in his lap while reading.

"The locals were saying things about me- which is fine, I'm not everybody's cup of tea. But they were extra mean and rude about it." you debate whether to say the rest, but it comes out before you come to a real decision. "They said they don't know why I think I deserve your attention and they said you're too small to be with someone like me."

Spencer gasps like you've burnt him. He feels heat searing his chest as he replays your words. He doesn't know exactly how to comfort you without his words being hard and rough.

"But I stood up for myself," that eases some of the pressure in his chest. "I told them they should be ashamed of themselves and that I wasn't just some girl pining after you and we were together."

Spencer presses his forehead into yours. "I'm glad you stood up for yourself, but you shouldn't have to defend yourself at work or in general. You're amazing and stunning and you're more than anything I could've dreamt up for myself."

His words are soft, sweet and it melts the remaining worry in your bones that even though Spencer loves you, he had regrets.

"They're fucking assholes," he deadpans quietly and you laugh. "But we have a job to do so we'll be civil for the rest of the time we're here but the second we're done, we're messing with them."

With Ollie leaving for Haas this frees up one seat for next season and nobody knows currently if Kimi is leaving for F1 next year or staying in f2. If Kimi does end up leaving that means Prema can move up 2 drivers (probs from f3) and have an entirely new line up or if he stays they can move up one f3 driver

W/ Gabriele and Dino both on their 2nd year of f3 they're more than likely gonna be looking for an f2 seat next season and Arvid has had an amazing season but I doubt he'll be moved up bc he's a rookie. So if Kimi stays in f2 theres only one seat available for either Dino or Gabriele and the one who doesn't get picked will more than likely jump teams to get into f2 like Arthur and Paul. But if Kimi leaves 2/3 of the f3 lineup gets a promotion.

Freca/Formula regional by Alpine:

The only one in their second year is Rafa Camara who is currently running away with the championship, so he'll more than likely be moved up to f3 or something next year. James wharton and Ugo Ugochukwu are only in their first year, so they won't be moving. Though I wish Maya could've been put into freca again and not just f1a

Italian f4:

They literally have 6 drivers wtf. Nakamura-Berta, Stolcermanis and Powell are all rookies, so they won't be looking to move up next season. Which leaves Al Dhaheri, Gowda and Slater available but seeing as only Freddie Slater is the only "vet" top 5 in the standings hes the only one I see moving up to freca. But then again Italian f4 is also hard af so they're not exactly shitty, so they might end up jumping teams to got to freca.

F1a/F1 Academy:

Man I honestly have no idea what the fuck they're doing w/ the girls especially w/ the 2 year limit, probs drop them ngl. Maya should be in freca again alongside Dorianne smh

My thoughts on the new DMC anime. Spoilers below.

Disclaimer: I AM JUST AN IDIOT WHO KNOWS DMC LORE AND HAS ACCESS TO TUMBLR...take my opinions with a grain of salt. I would say this was just for fun but it really wasn't. These are all my live thoughts as I watched from like episode 6-8.

Let me just start this out by saying: I am not the kind of fan who typically hates change or something that is new. I like to give things the benefit of the doubt.

It was a huge disappointment in my opinion. I have been a huge fan of DMC for a while and it's still my favorite game series to this day. I was so fucking excited for this anime, I had been waiting YEARS for it. It was just a major let down. I was like "hell yeah, made by the same ppl that made the castlevania anime. This is gonna be great!" As a long time fan ultimately I wanted to give it a chance bc I don't completely hate new things when they come out. But it just makes me so angry.

I wanted a DMC anime. I asked for it. But this...this isn't Devil May Cry. Idk what this is. They completely fucked up Lady's character and made her an unlikeable cop. They just took the "Lady" out of Lady. Who's just demon racist for like...some reason? Like ERM demon bad. But the anime is trying to show "hey maybe human bad" My dislike started off with little things like how Lady doesn't seem to hate her name, how Lady got her eyes from her mom rather than her dad. How Dante got his devil trigger in the anime. How there aren't any of the original voice actors other than Johnny Yong Bosh who plays Nero in the games. I love him he's my favorite voice actor but like he's Nero. I haven't even finished it. I'm watching it as I type this I'm on like episode 6. What the fuck they turned Arkham into a vampire this is so stupid (live Yubel reaction there)...like they tried to turn him into a tragic character...which just like...completely missed the point of his character in my opinion but...pop off ig. He's also dead? I also hate how they just made Lady's personality unlikable and that she swears a lot.

Another issue I have with it is the mispronunciation (is that even a word? ) of Mundus like it's Moon-dus that's how they pronounced it in all the games other than DMC: Devil May Cry which is awful. Honestly the creators just seemed to completely miss the point with all of the characters.

Edit: it is the next day and I'm about to start watching bc last night I got so irritated I couldn't finish it.

I don't like how they're trying to frame Sparda as the bad guy. Like that really pisses me off a lot more than it should. But Sparda was the goat.

I don't know if this is even to be accepted as Canon bc like...it feels like it has nothing to do with the original story like it's its own thing.

Also they changed how they were supposed to get into the demon realm. Bc it wasn't Dante/Vergil's blood that was needed it was Lady's blood. Bc she's the descendant of a sacrificed priestess.

Dante's outfit seems to be his DMC 5 outfit. When I think this takes place before DMC 3??? Like there's no reference if Teme-ni-gru and Lady and Dante didn't meet where they were supposed to.

Oh no the white rabbit is hot....ope and he's dead. Update he's not dead. He just ate somebody...and turned into a big scary demon

I hate VP Baines. But Kevin Conroy's voice was actually really refreshing to hear. (R.i.p. you were amazing) But goddamn I hated that religious zealot. I just wish so much attention wasn't brought to him...

This entire show seems like a continuity error and it just makes my brain hurt. And Lady is still brainwashed and barely any development....yay...

Oh my god what the fuck is this...oh judgement cut... Vergil.

Ngl I hate DMC: Devil May Cry but I think it has better writing....and I feel like that's saying alot. Bc it's obvious this is supposed to be a political commentary. And so was DMC: Devil May Cry. Just...sadly I think DMC: Devil May Cry did it better...I'm going to put them both in the same category.

OH WHAT THE FUCK?! NO VERGIL CANNOT CHANGE FROM NELO ANGELO AT WILL. THAT COMPLETELY DISREGARDS HIS ENTIRE CHARACTER.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?

What I liked: um it wasn't all bad I guess. Like I really liked all the music and the covers of the music. Like I'll admit that Devil Trigger was out of place (bc it's Nero's theme not Dante's) but I liked the way it sounded. I loved Rollin' and I loved Afterlife. I love the animation and visuals it's very smooth. I love the version of Devils Never Cry they used. I really like the art style too. Enzo and Dante's interactions were hilarious. I did actually think the white rabbit was an interesting villain. He was just a victim of the poor writing. Enzo's death actually made me sad bc he's a rat but he was kinda a likeable rat.

I can't actually tell but it kinda sounded like In one of the episodes they were trying to use a different version of Crimson Cloud. I don't know if it actually was or if it just sounded that way. Which again was out of place since V doesn't exist yet to my knowledge.

The reveal of the true Sparda sword was kinda neat too but that's just bc I'm a little biased bc it's one of my favorite swords.

Final thoughts: There are a few things I liked but mostly I hate it and I am severely disappointed. Apparently the creator claims to be a fan of the series but he completely messed it up in my opinion. And I am angry and a little upset about how badly they messed it up. I'm just disappointed. Especially with what they did to Vergil. Bc Vergil is my favorite character.

ok so Sayuri is one of the students that doesn't rlly go home bc there isn't much to go back to. Basically her parents were Rebellion pilots (or one was a pilot the other a mechanic. kinda unsure) but were both killed in action against the Empire abt 3-4ABY ish. obvs the Rebellion couldn't look after a 7-8yo while fighting the Empire

so the remainder of the squad manage to get her back to her parents' home village/ where she was born. so having like Everything change all at once leaves her pretty ?? and gives her some serious trusting-her-environment issues. her coolgirl "i dont care" persona is very much a result of this bc she's worried abt getting too comfy in smthn. (which is at odds w the OTHER issue she got from this event which is "deathly afraid of flying" an issue not helped if Master "traffic laws are just guidelines" Skywalker is piloting. but she tries 2 act like shes fine)

this is gonna get kinda long so im gonna smack some unposted art here and then go into a readmore

anyway fast forwarding to when Sayuri's abt 13 (roughly 9aby) she's visiting her parent's old squadron on a New Republic bc they'd all come visit whenever she could and after the Empire's fall they did a lot more pick her up and fly her to a base to ALL see her. and they're like omg Sayuri you came at the PERFECT time bc this rlly amazing pilot war hero who's also some like. mystical whatever is here!! he's on his way to some magic place we heard. maybe u can meet him!! which sayuri meets w her usual whatever bc she's not that gassed abt war heroes.

very worth noting that the squad's probably all seen her move shit with her mind, but theyre like oh you know how it is with teenage girls. the "nobody knows what a jedi is" + "the empire existed for a decent bit of her childhood" thing has kept anyone from being like yeahh sayuri should like. talk to someone abt this.

anyway she goes along when the squad are like c'mon let's see if we can see him. ok the only way i can describe this is you know the spiderverse like... spidey-sense recognition thing? that's basically what happens LOL Luke and Sayuri both have a FORCE USER RECOGNISED?? moment and Luke then makes a beeline for her then realises oh shit tiny teenager not jedi. would you LIKE to be a jedi?? and sayuri who hates her village and is feeling the strongest emotional connection she's felt in forever w this stranger she met 2 seconds ago is like okay fuckin sure yeah. and woo jedi!!

So Sayuri falls into the "one of the Jedi found them thru the force or by chance" category of students who get found. However Nymie very much falls into the second category, which is "CAN SOMEONE DEAL WITH THIS WEIRD SUPERPOWERED CHILD FOR US????"

So 2 things about Nymie: 1. like i've said before, she's from a very rich high class pantoran family. super stuck up, mostly raised by nannies & tutors, but somehow Nymie just didn't get the stuck-up genes like all her (4!!) siblings who are just obsessed w their social standing etc and is instead just :D all the time. 2. her proficiency ig is the living force esp in the 'good at connecting to animals' way (which I think means I legally need to draw her w Ezra).

so the former often led her to escaping her family's stuffy parties and galas or whatever (usually to whoever's house it is' garden or somewhere she wasnt meant to be) to find something interesting. usually a pet <3 one particular time when she was 9 she was following her Pet Sense but couldnt find anything in the house. so she kinda just reached out more and long story short thats how Nymie managed to call this hugemassive beast (i'd tell u what it was if i knew pantoran animals LOL) out of the nearby countryside to her. massively distressing for everyone, all these rich ppl were like "OH MY GOD I NEARLY DIED" (it didnt attack anyone). very funny exciting time for Nymie who was enjoying this new beastie friend til animal control showed up. saddening. everyone is confused bc HOW did that happen

a dude old (and cool) enough to have seen more than one jedi in their heyday (+ idk uni researcher knows his shit) noticed what happened w it going straight to Nymie and overheard her account and realised what happened and was like hi nymie's parents. i think u need to get into contact w the new republic bc thats a jedi right there (which they take and go oo social climbing. we have a jedi child people will think we're cooler. bc theyre assholes)

and yeah im losing steam now but luke shows up and she joins the academyyay!

Ok so this post was a huge inspiration (i can't find it on actual tumblr rn, god tumblr search is terrible). It floated around my dash a bit and I was just thinking about like, what the social implications would be around collars, if its meant to be a mating bite, usually one given to an omega from an alpha. so what does it mean, to cover up that claim? what could it mean to cover up the place where a bite might or might not be? would it be sexualized? what if you "cover your neck" but with translucent materials? is that scandalous?

ok - i'm gonna talk about kink, leatherdykes, queer porn and women's lib under the cut. The tl;dr is everyone should go watch BloodSisters.

A lot of it is also inspired by my uhhh interest in leather as a kink, and leatherdykes specifically. Like, chest harnesses are (were??) kiiiind of being decontextualized into a kind've vaugely kinky but mostly just sexy thing that queer people wear, rather than a specific piece of clothing/equipment that is utilized in kink spaces. I think that's really interesting and extrapolated some of that into Dan's writing on collars. Anyway, everyone of age should go watch BloodSisters

the other question I started thinking about, which other people have certainly also thought about, is, if omegas are sort've analogous to cis women/people with vaginas in our world, how does that change society. i think its funny that people say this world is really well built because there's tons of stuff that i just kind've gesture at but don't really answer. Like, do all omegas have multiple types of genitalia? Ezra had top surgery and doesn't use "he" or "she" pronouns. Is Ezra trans in this world? How does queerness even actually function in a world in which there are three (primary???) genders? Any information about Betas are kind've floating around bc Dan never really dates one (notably?? maybe??) and I'm, frankly, not interested in that layer of worldbuilding. how do gendered insults work??? what even is a wife???

What else? A lot of the omega liberation stuff is just straight up lifted from the vague timeline of (US) women's liberation that I've got floating around in my head. I think omega liberation in that world is probably at this weird sort've young-teenager age. Like, old enough that most people are like oh yeah, we've got to treat omegas like humans, but not so old that there aren't still plenty of people wandering around with shitty expectations and habits, etc. Like, Ezra's got shitty, Alpha habits and they're the same age, roughly, as Dan. And they don't even notice, because those kinds of thinking are so ingrained.

Same for the porn stuff, I've been interested in porn, particularly queer porn, for a really long time. For sex reasons, sure but also as a site of queer expression and anti-patriarchy/misogyny/homophobia work. I really don't know what kind of really high quality queer porn there is out there now beyond crashpad, a four-chambered heart, and aorta films, but there used to be a cadre of places that did, you know, "feminist" porn or "women" directed porn etc etc. A lot of those places kind've came in with a sort've radical politic in place and while I love that, I thought that these omegas (Sam and Lindsey) probably were much more like eh, we just wanna make a little money on videos where the omega isn't treated like shit. Which is also a fucking radical thought in this kind've world.

This is CERTAINLY more than you want to know. I think the short answer is that I've got adhd, HAHA

eta: oh shit! also reading a bunch of A/B/O arranged marriage & mail order bride fic. a lot of it isn't great? but its really interesting to see what kind've elements of misogyny make it into people's stories vs what they skip over.

just speculation, and after this i swear i'm going to write what i did appreciate in the show, but.

to me it kinda feels like riordan cast these three kids and went, these three children, they are my trio. and he should have! they're amazing - they're cast Very Well.

but then it feels like riordan assumed that because they already embodies the characters to him, that he didn't need to do characterbuilding in the actual fucking script. i get the feeling that the writers and showrunners are constantly both overestimating and underestimating walker leah and aryan. the scene with thalia? very much felt exposition dump. leah did what she could with she was a hero (and she kills her emotional moments, the parts that show annabeth's softness), but the themes came before the characters here and that for me feels a little unexcusable. annabeth is smart, we all know that, so riordan constantly forgets to show us that annabeth is smart. percy explains to annabeth how the lotus is in the air not the food. like HOW IS IT PERCY THAT FIGURES IT OUT BEFORE ANNABETH?

i think maybe grover/aryan got the best treatment out of them because of his scene with ares and the scene with the animals on the street, but even then the "betrayal" at the beginning felt slightly off. because percy never fully finished reacting to it (or if he did i don't remember which itself is not great)

which gets to another part of the writing / directing that's really getting to me. which is the relationships between characters, and how that's undermined by how short the scenes at the beginning of the show are. because more than half of the dialogue in the first two episodes ends up as (slightly unnatural or at least not in character exposition) and because the scenes (that is, however long a section before they cut to black and setting changes) are all wildly short (at least to me) there's no time for the characters to breathe. there are hardly any beats or pauses or just moments of breathing in a character's emotion or reaction.

going back to thalia's explanation, the scene ends after the exposition. going back further to luke showing percy around? all exposition. the subtle character moments are only in the scenes without dialogue and for a brief second at luke's introduction. there's no long scenes (from what i experienced) in the downtime, in the relatively quieter moments. only long scene i can think of was the fight with the minotaur.

even later, the scenes that are emotional and long? sally and poseidon. they don't allow grover's self-recrimination to breathe. they don't allow the panic after almost getting pulled into the Pit to breathe. the scene cuts, the emotion is squashed, and the next scene is more action, more traveling, more gods.

i think that this is partly why clarisse made such a big impression on me, because by design she can't be a part of the exposition. she's actively antagonistic towards percy, half of her scenes are some sort of action, and so the little characterization that we get of her (this time little is justified bc she's a side character) works really really effectively. you clock her character, her motivations immediately.

the scenes are getting longer. i think that this specific critique is one that will get fixed as the writers get used to the visual medium. but the rest? i really really hope that the writers realize that the characters just. need more space. i hope they trust their actors to play out these emotional scenes and i hope they give them more emotional scenes, more banter, more silly moments.

There's something weird i'd like to point out. It's amazing that the 7 EGGs are safe and sound, some of them now recovering, and that we have brand new three eggs... But where the heck is the Eggstatistics? They should've been back now, right? Maybe they are waiting for new pixelart and stuff, or waiting for the admins' deserved break to be over. Or, maybe, something sketchy is up. And so, this post will be assuming that. You haven't forgotten that there has been some sketchy stuff happening with the eggs, that we don't yet have answers for, right? And a lot of them. Some of them are: 1- We don't know who made them dirty/broken. Some say the federation, but we are not sure. 2- The reason Chayanne commanded the others to flee away. It seems to be connected to some sort of creature/entity Talullah awaked/enraged, maybe the dark figure in some of the eggs dreams? (this also probably connects to point 1) 3- The three new EGGs' origin is still unknown. We only know they were on Egg Island, hidden on a cave. This, is simply strange. How can new EGGs just pop in? Something is definitely strange about either: The new EGGs' origin The old EGGs' origin The New EGGs seem to be ommiting the fact they came in on boat, somehow knew about the explosion and hid, and none knows about the name "Egg Island". Maybe its only that they don't know if they can talk about it in /rp, or, this is actually on purpose. They, as well, don't seem to be a monitored Fed experiment, as they took Cucurucho by surprise. Maybe they were made by the Eye/The Watcher, as a "evil" counterparts of the old EGGs? Maybe they're old experiments that escaped/were considered failures by/are malfuctioning bc of the Feds, just like the EGG "Hope"? Or is the Island just a natural home for EGGs? If the last possibility is right, then the Old EGGs could have been kidnapped from Egg Island and experimented upon, or they are clones of an EGG from Egg Island, and so not being completely artificially created by the Feds.

4- The three new eggs, alongside Dapper, were given strange rules, seemingly by the Admins: No Armor and No Totems. They seem to be planning a change, one related with the EGGs... something with the EGGs Tasks/functionability? To less tasks? Because with no armor and totems, they become much more very vulnerable, and, it was confirmed by one of the new EGGs that they could still die. It kinda matches with the nerf on the mobs, but not at all with the strength of the code monsters. Maybe, its a way to be able to kill them, bc the n.i.n.h.o. made it basically impossible. Or, perhaps, it's for the growth much have been waiting for, atleast for the old EGGs. 5- The old EGGs are resting since they didn't have a day of peace unlike Dapper, who slept for four days straight, from november 18 (the end of purgatory) until november 22 (when he reappeared). If they only need four days of sleep to recover, in that logic, the other EGGs should wake up at november 25, on a saturday. But. Can we really trust the Federation with their sleep? How can we make sure the thing the EGGs were fleeing from won't hunt them in their lowest...?

Thus, to the reason why we don't have the Eggstatistics there are four possibilities: -They are waiting for the other EGGs to wake up because they are going to wake up different. Maybe grown, or maybe with some weird condition, like being captured again by the entity that hurt them. -Something strange is gonna happen/is going on with the new EGGs, and so they will have a different hud or a different status post just for them. -The EGGs tasks or lives, which are, the EGGs mechanics, are going to change drastically. -Or, all of the above. Its possible. TL;DR: They are making drama because something is going to change with the EGGs mechanically or in lore. I'm here for any thoughts about this :D

For me, I definitely see Tommy as a firebender, he's got a personality that could only be described as 'fiery', hes THE personification of fire;

Persistent, ambitious, never giving up, fiercely protective, and even, consistent and unchanging

Because if we take a look at his dsmp character, he's all of the above! And please let me explain the last two

Ctommy went through a lot of changes and situations but at his core level, he kept those same characteristics that defined him from the start of the story, till the very end.

Yes, he matured and grew up, yes he went through trauma that definitely influenced him heavily

But he (and if you'd allow me this comparison here>) never became a whole different person like i believe cwillbur did. Cwillbur went from an ambitious leader fighting against corruption and false-power to --not only siding with said self-proclaimed figures of power -- but also becoming so corrupt himself, that he got lost inside the chaos around him, and the chaos inside his mind

CTommy never did. Even if it became borderline obsessive at some point, he knew what he wanted/what the goal was;

The discs and L'manburg

The discs; a symbol of friendship to his best friend tubbo (reminding him of who was beside him at those early dsmp moments), and also a symbol of capability for himself. He alone acquired those discs. Not by stealing them, without any help. His first time having something entirely his. It's a symbol of strength, of confidence. A way of showing that he can do anything himself, if he wished.

And L'manburg; a symbol of revolution, of resistance against the ones hungry for power. A symbol of equality, togetherness, brotherhood, family even!

C tommy always stayed true to those two, whether it was the physical embodiment of those or the things they symbolised.

And i just realised I've been rambling about ctommy for around 10 paragraphs, the spirit of ctommy possessed me. I genuinely don't know what took over me, but im definitely not getting saved if im analyzing dsmp in our year of our lord and saviour Twich Prime, 2024

I like the idea of Techno only being able to bloodbend at first, and I think I may incorporate that more into his narrative more now.

What I was thinking for his backstory was that he was ostracised and cast out from his village as a young child, being born albino with red eyes instead of blue he was considered cursed (or at best the child of an affair), but when his bending talent manifested he could only bloodbend which scared his people thinking he was a demon or something, so they left him in the tundra to die.

He survived ofc, but the isolation and trauma of living alone for so long manifested the voices (like schizophrenia but I think maybe it's instead a sign of the blood god worsened by schizophrenic symptoms). He always had them, urging him to bloodbend, but they were worsened to become noticable during that time. The bloodbending and albinism being the blessing / incarnation of the blood god, kinda like Yue was of the moon spirit when she was a baby.

He later learns to control water too, but I think he's quite a skilled swordsman, so for his fighting technique that doesn't involve bloodbending he uses weapons he's waterbended into shape and turned to ice. I'm working on some designs for this I'll post later, but in his updated ref you can see a hilt on his belt which he'll make the blade out of ice with (he could do the whole thing, but it'd be cold and uncomfortable, as well as less structurally secure).

The pole on his back works to make his axe and stuff. Then I think he makes a trident out of plain ice. This also gives them the appearance of being blue like diamond gear which I think is neat.

Tommy is also such a great character to work with, even if Techno's my fav Tommy's probably going to be the main protagonist if I get round to making a narrative. You're so right that he embodies all the firebender traits, I think I will end up going with firebending for him now.

I'm not sure if I'll include c!dream in this au or not considering I'm not really into him, but he does have a lot of involvement in Tommy's dsmp lore and development. If I do bring him in then he'd probably do the classic manipulation, probably try to 'train' tommy or smth and isolates and controls him.

I imagine Tommy's bending is actually pretty weak, or starts out that way cause he never had a proper teacher (methinks the other help him later), which makes him a bit insecure and leads to him learning how to be resourceful in other ways cause he can't rely on it.

I really like the discs being something he didn't steal but earned. I think one of the reasons that they'll be so important to him now in the au is because he's a poor thief who's had to steal everything in life to survive, so to have something he wholly earned himself, along with the symbolism of them, is something that means a lot and he takes pride in it. Thanks for bringing that up cause it'll be very useful for his development.

gorgeous, very caring sister, strong duelist, and the only woman to ever make Seto Kaiba squirm

anyways. not only as mentioned above is she the first woman to make kaiba squirm, but she was by all means going to beat him if not for the millennium rod's millennium interference. yami marik admits that she's a strong duelist with a strategy that's been working for literal years-- and given that she's not like, a professional duelist, thats pretty impressive

she also recently got some really cool meta bumps and let me point out that an "ishizu deck" now includes obelisk the tormentor-- which we knew she had prior to giving it to kaiba, but i think it only solidifies my opinion that she very much could wield an Egyptian God Card, an exclusive little club for top tier duelists

as a character she presents herself with an amazing amount of poise and grace, shes compassionate and kind and stays with mai and serenity even though she only just met them. shes struggling through living the past 5 years of her life drowning in guilt for her family's tragedy just because she wanted to make her little brother happy and shadi is a fucking liar. shes foretold her own death and marches towards it grimly but with so much love in her heart. and even then shes 20 years old and holds an important position in the egyptian government that typically requires a doctorate degree AND has been dealing with mariks off-and-on bullshit entirely by her lonesome. she also likes to flex her fortunetelling a little which is awesome i think she should do that more that scene where she tells the guy exactly how the stele is being transported was so everything

speaking of shes got such an attitude. "is it your destiny to waste my time?" iconic. never seen before will never be seen again. watch the duel between her va and joeys its so fucking funny

shes excult. shes doesnt flinch in the face of god nor death. seto kaiba and yami marik respect her. shes so sad and so sweet and battle city couldnt have happened without her.

also her parallels with kaiba are what motivate kaiba to give yugi the card he needed to beat marik.

kaiba, in duelist kingdom, was ready to jump off a ledge if yugi didnt let him through to face pegasus while trying to save mokuba out of sheer desperation to save his little brother. he KNOWS what that dedication feels like and the iron kind of will you need to have to make that kind of gamble. isis is being so fucking legit with what shes saying and he respects that and her judgement enough to change his mind and not only watch the duel, but give yugi a card that eventually helps him win, even if he has no real confidence in the odds. but theres a CHANCE, which is the same thing he taught her when he beat her in a duel. the layers its her faith that moves him to act. which is so crazy

Imprisoned feelings: the fullest analysis of the Trix I ever wrote

For the sake of writing normal fanfiction, I've given the Trix a lot of thought and now I'm preseting you my thoughts about why they're... the Trix. I'll try to observe only the facts given in the series (I'm not taking the facts from the comics, bc firstly, I didn't read all the comics and secondly, some info in the comics is right the opposite from the info in the series and movies) and not my headcannons, but it's going to be really hard XD

Actually, I think that the Trix are kind of a phenomenon among other witches. Griffin once mentioned that witches don't work in groups and here we have... witches working in the group, which acually rarely splits up. But I don't think it's because they experience some sisterly (or any other kind of) love, bc they are way too selfish for that and when the situation gets dangerous, none of them would risk her life to save the other. (Okay, Darcy and/or Stormy might do that for Icy, but I'll explain that possibility later.)

Yet they think about each other. In season 5, Darcy and Stormy left Icy, putting their comfort in the first place, but before that they kept trying to make her change her mind (stuff about Icy and Tritannus is in my other article) and came back for their sister in the very end. In season 3, Valtor (as I believe) tried to break the Trix up, but in the end they were still working together as a group. So, the Trix are mentally attached to each other, though they care more about themselves (or about Psychofish (sorry)).

To me, that attachment means two things. Firstly, they've spent a lot of time together, bc I believe that such a firm bond simply can't be formed during the 2.5 years they've been studying at Cloud Tower. And sevondly, they didn't have a loving family/families, which could show them a good example of how people should communicate. That moves us to the next conclusion.

Although all three of the Trix are different, they have something in common. They all are sadistic and very naive. I think that it all comes from their childhood. As I said, no-one of their family members/caretakers actually loved them. Also, I think people who raised the Trix, prepared them for what they've accomplished, I mean stealing the Dragon Flame and ruling the world. In season 1, when Icy was explaining it all to Bloom, I had a clear impression that she was repeating the words the had been told. So, yeah, I think the Trix were constantly told about their future mission, smth like "you're the future and the only hope of this world/our ultra evil community/etc", apply puberty to that stuff and you'll get the "we are the baddest people here" POV, bc for real, these three didn't even take headmasters of the schools seriously, which, btw, were powerful and experienced sorcerers, who fought Valtor, Darkar and other ☆amazing☆ people. So, the piont is, the Trix were made naive and cruel. Aaaaand here we move to the "imprisoned feelings" thingy.

(Another fact that confirmed they were raised to carry out the mission of world domination: they are used to be the right-hand. They easily team up with Darkar, Valtor, Tritannus, Serina (okay, in the last case, Serina was the right-hand, but they still worked with her instead of taking her book for themselves, which, btw, I can't explain). So, it may be possible that since the very beginning of the story, they tried to fulfill the task they were given by their parents/caretakers)

So, the Trix were raised as the killing machines. I believe that it also ment they should've been heartless. But they're still human beings, who do have some feelings inside them. So, what do they do? Right, they suppress these feelings.

Remember how quick were Icy and Stormy to laugh at Darcy bc of her feelings for Riven (season 1)? Or the reaction of Icy and Darcy when Stormy mentioned them as her 'friends'(season 3)? I think it all happened because they were taught that positive feelings are ridiculous and make one weak. And that's why they never tried to show it.

Cloud Tower made things even worse. This is where we should thank Griffin (no), who always mentioned aloud about her how much she dislikes "those fairies who always care about the others." (Not a quote, but she could've said smth like that.) So, the Trix get a clear pic: on one side, there are fairies, disgustingly-glittery creatures who are always caring cheerful and therefore weak. On the other side, there are cruel, heartless and cool witches, who will win this rivalry in the end, bc they're not afraid to play dirty (why are they nit afraid?? BC WITCHES DON'T KNOW WHAT FEAR IS- oh sorry, I got a little too carried away XD)

There also might be one more aspect. Icy, who is obviously the leader type, seeing the relationship between them and their parents/caretakers, began to treat her sisters the same way, so Darcy and Stormy were really afraid of her, even though the three of them might've had equal powers. And because of this fear, they would do anything for her. That's why sometimes they risked their lives for Icy (the end of season 5 and the end of season 8).

I wanted to write about each of the Trix here as well, but this shit is already way too long, so another time :)

Hi so um I've been seeing someposts (haven't rlkybused tumblr alot haha) and I've saw you helping ppl out w their like sexuality and things? So I think I'm gay (this feels so crazy bc I have not spoken to this aby anyone??) but I'm muslim so it's like against my religion and sometimes I hate myself for it? Hi! You're definitely not a shit person and you're not alone. I've had other Muslim people write to me about this same exact thing. Honestly, I don't know a lot about the Muslim religion but I have to believe that if God is real, and he chooses how people are (gay, straight, etc), why would he make people in a way that he doesn't want?

I think you should try to find other Muslim people who are gay. They're out there, I promise, and there are plenty of Muslim people who practice the faith and are okay with being gay. See if you can talk to them about how they've been able to do both.

I wanted to ask that if a non-trans person wrote a fic where a character is trans but hasn’t been able to transition, would that be okay? Solely because I know that not everyone has the means to change their appearance but they’re still just as valid and I wanted to represent that. Will do the proper research too in order not to hurt anyone but I’m not sure if anyone would be comfortable enough to read that, maybe it’ll be triggering?

I think as long as you do the proper research and tag appropriately, there's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure people will want to read it!

Just remember that some trans people choose not to do things like get surgery because they don't feel it's necessary. But you're right in saying that some want to do those things and cannot. Either way, I wouldn't say they 'haven't transitioned' because they still could have transitioned socially by dressing differently, using new pronouns, changing their name, etc. They just may not be taking hormones, getting surgery, etc.

so, I came out as trans ftm to my dad, and he doesn't believe me bc im too young apparently (13-15 age range). but we did come to a compromise where he'll call me KJ instead of my deadname.

but he won't use he/him pronouns for me, call me his son, etc

he is very liberal, anti trump and elon, etc. and he said he'd accept it if I came out as gay, but somehow, me being trans is too much for him.

and I just need advice on how I can explain the concept of being trans, dysphoria, and how much it would mean to me if he used he/him prns for me.

Honestly, I would find some articles showing the negative effects of misgendering trans youth. Like the suicide rate of trans youth, the mental effects of dysphora, etc. Find articles that are from official sources, written by scientists and doctors. Adults like listening to other adults.

And I would also ask him why. Like let's say it is a phase (I'm not saying it actually is, but that's what he thinks, so if we go with his ideas), what's wrong with going with it and using the pronouns you want and the name you want, until the 'phase' is over? You're not asking for anything permanent. Like genuinely ask him who it's hurting.

If all else fails, you could start misgendering him, but that might land you in deep trouble lol.

Hi im just gonna tell you because i would like to tell someone

So i know everybody thinks im gay because thats what ive told everybody, and like i dont think im lying really because i dont know the truth but i think im aromamtic. So theres that. Thats a thing but sometimes i feel like im not because i want a relationship. I read about it and see it and want it so bad.

Also i think im agender but i feel like im lying to myself when i say that. Like i dont mind any pronouns to be used for me. At all. And i think gender as a concept at least for me is stupid. Like, what does it matter? Again thats for me i completley understand for some people pronouns used are really important. I mean even though i dont mind i still remember the first time someone refered to me as they/them and how good it felt.

All this to say ik really fucking confused but at this kind of point where i honestly dont care anymore...? Lol like im gonna keep making gay jokes probably because for some reason lesbian gets less questions than aromantic. Seriously though why do people ask such weird questions as soon as they find out youre queer? I had a guy who didnt even know me ask if i felt horny around girls all the time?? Like wtf. Yeah I think people worry way too much about other peoples' labels. Labels can be important to people for themselves and that's fine, but who cares about other people? And you're right- sometimes the questions people as are so ridiculous and offensive.

Remember that it's okay not to know and it's okay to just not have a label. It's truly up to you and what you're comfortable with. There's no right or wrong and I don't think you're 'faking' anything. It's okay to take all the time you need to figure yourself out <3
