Rice: an essential grain that makes up the basis of many dishes around the world and adds an abundance of nutrients to our diet for centuries. It is versatile and can be made into many dishes, fits any appetite, and caters to anyone. In addition to individuals or personal connections to rice, the grain serves as the primary source of energy for millions around the world. Furthermore, rice has a great impact on society, culture, and in people’s relationship with food. Many places outside the US have cultural ties to their food such as Mexican food where beans, rice, and squash are cemented in the country’s culture. For the Asian diet, rice has made a tremendous impact on wellness as it constitutes “more than 50% of the dietary calories for 520 million people in Asia.” Besides the cultural impact, rice has integrated itself into language as well. In the Thai or Korean lexicon, “kao” and “bap” are synonymous translations of the word “rice” and “food.” This reiterates the importance of rice being more than sustenance, as it can be a cultural impact beyond the healthy human body.
As a Thai person, rice is life. Jasmine rice, in particular, has played a contribution to my diet and my culture. My appreciation of rice stems beyond the basis of many delicious Thai meals and stretches to rice farmers that make up 66% of all farmers in Thailand. With jasmine rice becoming a popular source of grain, the focus on the maximization, optimization, and efficiency of rice production and shipments across the world becomes an immediate byproduct. The consequences of climate change have led to concerns over the future of rice. Without a switch in behavior or the way rice is cultivated, the future of the grain may be altered forever or even lost. A significant challenge that climate change poses is water scarcity which is directly due to the increase of high-temperature waves around the world.
Rice is a temperate crop and grows distinctly within the margins of the equatorial belt where there is heavy rainfall and humidity. Rice cultivation is mainly centered in Asia where “China and India produce about half of the globe’s milled rice, which totals roughly 547 million tons (496 million metric tons) annually.” As the temperature starts to rise due to the excessive amounts of carbon dioxide being trapped in the Earth’s atmosphere, this continually pushes the equatorial belt upwards. Hawaii will no longer be considered the North pole of the belt as the temperature inches upwards. Regions like China and India that produce rice experience this shift as well. According to predictions from scientists, “rice yields will decrease 3.2% for every 1.8F (1.0C) increase in temperature.” If temperatures continue to rise, there will be an increase in rice plant infertility and a decrease in overall grain yield. This is detrimental to those reliant on producing rice and those who consume rice. The quality of the grain drops overall.
To sufficiently grow rice, rice paddies must be flooded and semi-submerged into the water for the crop to sprout and thrive. Similarly to many other grains, rice grows in a monocultural fashion and the practice of rice cultivation has been passed down through years of farm traditions. As other parts of the globe begin to depend on rice, these monoculture agricultural practices are mimicked. However, such practices must be reconsidered since they may be more destructive than useful when rice should not be grown in places that cannot support its growth. For example, in Arkansas, fields are burnt down and then flooded with water to mirror rice paddies which put counteractive measures to grow the grain. There are many disadvantages of putting all eggs in one basket when it comes to monoculture agriculture. Fungal diseases, soil degradation, and water shortages are to name a few. Such water scarcity will also affect the act of flooding fields. When there is a lack of water on hand, farmers may turn to natural water wells like aquifers that will be sucked dry to support the immense amount of water needed for rice growth. These aquifers ultimately take years to regenerate fresh water again.
It is important to note that water scarcity does not only mean less water overall. Water scarcity also means less usable water. When there is an increase in water pollution from urbanization, factory farms, fertilizer runoffs, or saltwater intrusion rice crops may experience growth stunts and infertility. Farmers may experience the production of less nutritionally dense rice as well. As temperature rises, “water scarcity and increasing temperatures may cause rice yields in India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam to drop 50% by 2100.” Such water shortages will not only affect crop yield or rice but also farmers that grow rice to support their livelihoods.
Without immediate technical and behavioral change from producers, consumers, and regulators, the fate of rice does not look promising. Furthermore, the social and economic integration that rice grips into many cultures, contexts, and traditions, may be irreversibly damaged if rice diminishes in value and quality. Many Thai elders remind us with a saying at the end of every meal: “Remember to finish every grain of rice on your plate, the farmers worked hard for it.” Rice needs water and without adequate sources due to climate change, there may not even be farmers picking our food, let alone, grain on rice on plates to eat. Water scarcity is weakening rice production from farm to fork.

How does climate change impact agricultural productivity?
Climate change has a profound impact on agricultural productivity, influencing a wide range of factors including crop yield, water availability, pest management, and soil fertility. As global temperatures rise, the agricultural sector faces numerous challenges, especially in countries like India, where a large portion of the population depends on farming for their livelihood. The effects of climate change on agriculture are multi-dimensional, creating both immediate and long-term consequences. In this response, we will explore how climate change influences agricultural productivity, with specific emphasis on India, and consider the implications for the future.
1. Rising Temperatures and Crop Yields
One of the most direct impacts of climate change is the increase in temperatures. Higher temperatures can stress crops, reducing yields and affecting plant growth. In India, a country with a predominantly agrarian economy, the rise in temperature has been linked to decreased crop productivity, particularly for staple crops like rice, wheat, and maize.
For example, wheat is highly sensitive to temperature changes, especially during its grain-filling period. An increase in average temperatures by just a few degrees Celsius can reduce wheat yields significantly. Similarly, rice yields are affected by extreme heat, particularly during flowering. The changing monsoon patterns, with inconsistent rainfall, also exacerbate the temperature-related stress on crops.
As a result, areas that were once suitable for specific crops are no longer viable for cultivation, forcing farmers to either shift to different crops or face reduced productivity.
Read: KGKM India
2. Changes in Precipitation Patterns
Climate change has disrupted precipitation patterns, leading to both droughts and floods in different regions. In India, where farming largely depends on the monsoon season, erratic rainfall can have a severe impact on crop production. Insufficient rainfall during the monsoon season can lead to droughts, causing water stress in crops, particularly in rain-fed areas that rely heavily on natural precipitation.
On the other hand, excessive rainfall or untimely rains can lead to floods, waterlogging, and soil erosion. Flooding damages crops, while soil erosion depletes soil fertility. The unpredictability of rainfall, coupled with an increase in the frequency of extreme weather events, makes it difficult for farmers to plan their cultivation cycles effectively.
For instance, crops like paddy, which require a certain amount of water at specific times, are particularly vulnerable to these disruptions. Similarly, crops such as cotton, sugarcane, and soybean are also impacted by changes in rainfall, which can lead to reduced production.
3. Water Scarcity and Irrigation Challenges
Water scarcity is a growing concern due to climate change, especially in India, which already faces water stress in several regions. The shift in rainfall patterns means that the available freshwater resources are not distributed evenly across the country. This makes it harder for farmers to secure adequate irrigation, leading to reduced crop yields and productivity.
Groundwater depletion is another pressing issue. Over-reliance on groundwater for irrigation, especially in regions where surface water is scarce, has led to the depletion of aquifers. With changing rainfall patterns, groundwater recharge has become more irregular, making it even more challenging to sustain crop production.
The decrease in freshwater availability also impacts the production of water-intensive crops like rice, sugarcane, and cotton. To counter this, farmers need to adopt more water-efficient irrigation practices, such as drip irrigation and rainwater harvesting, but these techniques often require substantial investment.
4. Pests, Diseases, and Climate Change
Climate change also affects the prevalence and distribution of pests and diseases, which can significantly impact agricultural productivity. Warmer temperatures and increased humidity provide a more favorable environment for pests like locusts, aphids, and bollworms, as well as plant diseases such as blight and rust. These pests and diseases can cause substantial damage to crops, reducing yields and quality.
In India, pests such as the brown plant hopper, which affects rice, and various insects that target cotton and vegetables, are becoming more prevalent due to the changing climate. The spread of diseases like bacterial wilt, which affects crops like tomatoes and potatoes, is also exacerbated by warmer temperatures and more erratic rainfall.
Farmers may need to increase their use of pesticides and fungicides to combat these threats, but this comes at a cost. Additionally, the overuse of chemicals can harm the environment, pollute water sources, and reduce biodiversity.
5. Soil Degradation
Soil health is crucial for maintaining high agricultural productivity, and climate change is exacerbating soil degradation. Extreme weather events such as heavy rainfall and droughts contribute to soil erosion, nutrient depletion, and reduced soil fertility. When soil becomes less fertile, the productivity of crops diminishes, leading to lower yields.
Soil degradation also reduces the ability of the land to store carbon, which further accelerates climate change. In India, where many farming communities still rely on traditional farming practices, the combination of poor soil management and changing climate conditions is making it increasingly difficult to maintain high levels of crop production.
To mitigate soil degradation, farmers need to adopt practices such as crop rotation, agroforestry, and organic farming. However, these methods often require a change in mindset and additional resources, which may not be easily accessible to smallholder farmers.
6. Impact on Smallholder Farmers
Smallholder farmers, who make up the majority of India’s farming population, are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. These farmers often lack access to the financial resources, technology, and information necessary to adapt to changing conditions. They are more dependent on natural resources, and the unpredictability of climate conditions places them at a higher risk of crop failure.
The economic consequences of climate change, such as reduced incomes and increased costs for inputs like water, fertilizers, and pest control, can push farmers into poverty. This, in turn, has broader implications for food security, livelihoods, and rural development.
Conclusion
In conclusion, climate change is posing a significant threat to agricultural productivity, particularly in countries like India, where agriculture plays a central role in the economy and livelihood of millions of people. The effects of rising temperatures, erratic rainfall, water scarcity, pest proliferation, and soil degradation are all contributing to reduced yields and food insecurity.
To mitigate these impacts, it is essential for farmers to adopt climate-resilient farming practices and technologies. Government policies should also focus on providing support for adaptation and building resilience in the agricultural sector. Additionally, greater investment in sustainable farming practices and research into drought-resistant crops, efficient irrigation methods, and pest management strategies will be crucial to ensuring that agriculture can continue to thrive in a changing climate.
As climate change continues to evolve, the agricultural sector must adapt and innovate in order to sustain food production and safeguard the livelihoods of farmers. Collaborative efforts between the government, the private sector, and farmers are essential to meeting the challenges of climate change and ensuring a secure, sustainable food future for all.

Environmental Impacts of Climate Change and Causes of Global Warming
Climate change is among the most pressing global challenges of our time, with its wide-ranging impacts threatening ecosystems, economies, and communities. While the causes of global warming are primarily rooted in human activities, its environmental consequences are profound, far-reaching, and require immediate attention. This blog explores the causes of global warming and delves into the Environmental Impacts of Climate Change, offering insights into how we can collectively combat these issues.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e325c8c0982ebc869803b67793bb7485/3c27b302e3c5962c-60/s540x810/68bbfc685a9a614872edc006a17088078f8f6e18.jpg)
Understanding Global Warming
Global warming refers to the steady increase in Earth’s average surface temperature due to the excessive buildup of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere. The major contributors include carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄), and nitrous oxide (N₂O), which trap heat from the sun, creating a "greenhouse effect."
Key Causes of Global Warming
Burning Fossil Fuels The combustion of coal, oil, and natural gas for energy production and transportation releases significant amounts of CO₂. These activities account for a large portion of human-induced emissions.
Deforestation Forests act as carbon sinks, absorbing CO₂ from the atmosphere. When trees are cut down for agriculture or urbanization, this balance is disrupted, leading to increased atmospheric CO₂ levels.
Agriculture and Livestock Farming Methane emissions from livestock, rice paddies, and improper manure management contribute significantly to global warming. Additionally, synthetic fertilizers release nitrous oxide, a potent greenhouse gas.
Industrial Processes The production of cement, chemicals, and metals releases GHGs. Industrial activities also contribute to air pollution, which exacerbates the greenhouse effect.
Waste Management Improper disposal of organic waste in landfills generates methane. Additionally, the incineration of waste emits carbon and other harmful pollutants into the atmosphere.
Environmental Impacts of Climate Change
Climate change manifests in various forms, affecting ecosystems, biodiversity, and human livelihoods. Below are some significant environmental impacts:
1. Melting Polar Ice and Rising Sea Levels
As global temperatures rise, polar ice caps and glaciers are melting at an alarming rate. This contributes to rising sea levels, which threaten coastal communities and low-lying regions. Small island nations face existential threats, with increased risks of flooding and land erosion.
2. Extreme Weather Events
The frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, such as hurricanes, heatwaves, and heavy rainfall, have increased. These events disrupt ecosystems, damage infrastructure, and result in economic losses and loss of life.
3. Ocean Acidification
Higher CO₂ levels are being absorbed by oceans, leading to acidification. This affects marine ecosystems, particularly coral reefs, which are vital for biodiversity and fisheries.
4. Biodiversity Loss
Shifting climate patterns disrupt habitats, pushing many species toward extinction. Animals and plants unable to adapt to rapidly changing conditions face habitat loss, food shortages, and declining populations.
5. Disrupted Ecosystems
Climate change alters seasonal patterns, such as flowering and migration. This impacts food webs and ecosystems, leading to imbalances that can affect both wildlife and human communities reliant on these systems.
The Human Factor
Human activities are at the heart of climate change. Urbanization, industrialization, and the increasing demand for resources drive emissions. However, these activities also provide opportunities to mitigate impacts. Through innovation and collaboration, humanity can work toward a sustainable future.
What Can Be Done?
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9935cea9de44d64df46f1c92d94c6272/3c27b302e3c5962c-3c/s540x810/918a3a283b8377a58f316a6af232d58df4b1af6f.jpg)
Addressing the Causes of Global Warming and mitigating the environmental impacts of climate change require a multi-faceted approach:
1. Transition to Renewable Energy
Investing in solar, wind, and hydroelectric energy can significantly reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. Countries and businesses must accelerate the adoption of clean energy technologies.
2. Reforestation and Forest Conservation
Planting trees and protecting existing forests are effective ways to absorb CO₂ and restore ecosystems. Community-based initiatives and stricter regulations can aid this effort.
3. Sustainable Agriculture
Adopting sustainable farming practices, such as crop rotation, reduced use of synthetic fertilizers, and methane capture technologies, can lower agricultural emissions.
4. Improved Waste Management
Recycling, composting, and reducing landfill use can minimize methane emissions. Public awareness campaigns can encourage better waste disposal habits.
5. Policy and International Cooperation
Governments must implement policies that promote sustainability. International agreements, such as the Paris Accord, play a crucial role in uniting nations toward common climate goals.
The Role of Individuals
Each person can contribute to combating climate change through small yet impactful actions:
Reduce Energy Use: Turn off appliances when not in use and invest in energy-efficient devices.
Choose Sustainable Transport: Opt for walking, cycling, or public transport to reduce your carbon footprint.
Adopt a Plant-Based Diet: Reducing meat consumption can significantly lower methane emissions from livestock.
Support Eco-Friendly Products: Purchasing from environmentally conscious brands supports sustainable practices.
Educate and Advocate: Spread awareness about climate change and urge policymakers to prioritize environmental issues.
Looking Ahead
The environmental impacts of Climate Change Review underscore the urgent need for collective action. While the causes of global warming are well-documented, their solutions require innovation, determination, and a unified global effort.
As individuals, organizations, and governments rally together, we must prioritize sustainability, protect our natural resources, and strive for a balance between development and environmental stewardship. The time to act is now.

Baler Twine Manufacturer | Azuka Ropes
Agriculture Waste & its impact on Environment
A biomass power plant is similar to a thermal power plant but instead of coal, it uses green fuel. It uses the natural fuel in it which comprises of agriculture waste. Agriculture waste such as paddy and wheat straw, cotton stalks and leaves which are left over after the harvesting of the crop. This agri waste is normally burnt in the open.
As its volume is so much it is not possible for farmers to deal with it without incurring a considerable cost to ready their fields for the sowing of the next crop. This is particularly true in case of paddy straw in Punjab which generates about 20 million tonnes of straw yearly, eventually burnt in the open fields. It results in alarming pollution levels in October and November. It causes many respiratory diseases.
Agri Waste to Agri Use with Baler Twine
One way to deal with the problem is the setting up of biomass plants which uses paddy straw as fuel. One such plant produces 15MW of power per hour using biomass.
It can also have a positive impact on the rural economy environment and employment opportunities n the area.
Indirect employment can be generated by fuel collection which entails collection of all types of fuels ranging from leaves to stalks. His job is mostly done by entrepreneurs farmers who already own tractors for their farm operations.
Each baler requires about 20 people for a smooth operation. The bales are then stacked in the fuel yards and transferred to the plant on a daily basis.
These bales are then fed into the boiler through contracted labour. To know more about baler twine, https://www.azukaropes.com/baler-twines-its-uses/.
Another important factor is regarding the fertility of the soil which gets adversely affected when the fields are set on fire.
However, if the straw is collected with balers, the soil does not lose its fertility and microbes and soil bacteria don’t get ruined.
Azuka Ropes is one of the leading suppliers and manufacturers of baler twine in India. We manufacture baler twines whose breaking strength is 20% more than the required which helps the farmer in increasing its productivity as twine never breaks. It is alternatively known as the pp (polypropylene)rope used in harvesting in agriculture.

![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/53ca9f4955e94a566340af990ae2a087/d93fec29c2076435-bb/s540x810/ab84fd0d6c9ffdfcf3a13dfd58fc6d2b91ee3005.jpg)
Basmati rice, valued for its unique aroma, long grains, and delicate flavor, is a staple in kitchens worldwide. Primarily cultivated in the rich soils of India and Pakistan, it is celebrated for its nutty taste and soft texture in various cuisines. As global demand for this premium rice rises, preserving its quality and distinctive taste during export has become an intricate art.
Global Basmati rice exporters face unique challenges in ensuring that the rice transported to international markets retains the flavour, texture and quality it is renowned for. From stringent quality control to state-of-the-art packaging techniques, these exporters use a variety of strategies to preserve the essence of Basmati rice during its journey from farm to table.
Key Challenges in Maintaining Quality During Export
The journey of Basmati rice from paddy fields to international markets is complex. Several factors can affect the quality of rice during transportation. Humidity, temperature fluctuations, improper handling, and even long-term shipping can cause rice quality to deteriorate, leading to a loss of taste, texture, and nutritional value.
Rice is highly sensitive to environmental changes, and careful attention is required at every stage to maintain its premium quality. Exporters must ensure that during transportation, Basmati rice is protected from moisture and contamination, two factors that can affect its shelf life and taste. Additionally, the grains are delicate, and rough handling can lead to breakage, affecting both its aesthetic and cooking properties.
Taste Preservation Techniques in Basmati Rice
One of the primary concerns for Basmati rice manufacturers is flavor preservation. Traditional methods such as properly cooking and aging the rice are still widely practiced. Aging Basmati rice enhances its aroma and flavor profile, making it more desirable to consumers. Generally, rice is aged for 1-2 years to deepen its flavour and make the grains more tender when cooked.
In addition to traditional aging techniques, modern innovations have improved flavour preservation. Some exporters use vacuum-sealed packaging or nitrogen-flushing technology to prevent oxidation, which can alter the natural flavour of rice. These methods help preserve the aromatic qualities of rice for a longer period of time, ensuring that the end consumer experiences the true taste of Basmati.
Quality Control Standards and Certifications
In today’s competitive market, there can be no compromise on quality. Exporters follow stringent quality control standards to meet both domestic and international regulations. Adherence to standards such as ISO 22000 and HACCP ensure that the rice is free from contaminants and safe for consumption.
Additionally, certifications such as Geographical Indication (GI) tagging help guarantee the authenticity of Basmati rice. GI-tagged Basmati rice means that the product comes from specific regions known to grow genuine Basmati, adding a layer of trust for both consumers and buyers. These certifications help exporters meet global standards while ensuring that the delivered product is of the highest quality.
Role of Packaging and Storage in Maintaining Taste
Packaging plays a vital role in maintaining the taste and quality of Basmati rice during export. High-quality packaging not only protects the rice from environmental hazards such as moisture, dust, and insects, but also helps retain the aromatic and delicate taste of the rice.
Most exporters use multilayered packaging material that provides barrier protection against oxygen and moisture. Proper sealing techniques, such as vacuum packing or hermetic storage, are usually used to ensure that the rice retains its original taste for a long time. In addition, the rice is stored in climate-controlled facilities to maintain optimal conditions until it is shipped.
Effective storage techniques are essential, as improper storage can cause rice to absorb unwanted odors and moisture, resulting in spoilage. By implementing the right packaging and storage solutions, global Basmati rice exporters successfully deliver fresh, tasty, and high-quality rice.
Basmati rice is a delicacy loved by consumers around the world, and maintaining its quality during export is a top priority for exporters. Through a combination of traditional practices and modern innovations, global Basmati rice exporters ensure that their products retain the same freshness, aroma, and flavor they are known for. From high-quality packaging to stringent quality standards, every step is carefully designed to maintain the integrity of the rice.

The terraces are sculpted into the hills like enormous stairs and produce beautiful views. In the early morning mist, the rice paddies take on an otherworldly appearance. Photographers who visit Sapa will be rewarded with panoramic views and striking landscapes. These are just a few examples of the spectacular landscapes that Vietnam has to offer. As a photographer, exploring Vietnam's natural beauty is an adventure that you will never forget. Mastering Lighting and Exposure for Memorable Shots One of the most important aspects of photography is mastering lighting and exposure. Proper use of lighting can make a huge difference in the overall look and feel of your photos. Not only does it affect the brightness and darkness of your shot, but also the colors, mood, and texture of your subject. Here are some tips for mastering lighting and exposure to capture stunning photos in Vietnam: 1. Understand the Golden Hour The Golden Hour refers to the time of day just after sunrise or just before sunset. During this time, the sun is at a low angle, creating soft and warm light that can add a beautiful golden glow to your shots. Take advantage of this time to capture stunning landscapes, cityscapes, and portraits. 2. Use a Polarizing Filter A polarizing filter can help to reduce glare and reflections, making colors more vibrant and ensuring better contrast. This can be particularly useful when shooting around water or in bright sunlight. 3. Adjust Your Exposure Settings Proper exposure is crucial for getting great shots. Use manual mode to adjust your aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings for the best results. If you're shooting in bright sunlight, consider decreasing your exposure to prevent overexposed photos. 4. Make Use of Shadows and Highlights Shadows and highlights can create interesting and dynamic photos, adding depth and texture to your shots. Look for opportunities to capture the interplay between light and shadow to create dramatic effects. 5. Experiment with Night Photography Don't be afraid to experiment with night photography. Long exposures and low light can create stunning shots of architecture, cityscapes, and landscapes. Use a tripod and experiment with different exposure settings to capture the perfect shot. By mastering lighting and exposure, you can capture truly memorable shots of Vietnam's beautiful landscapes, bustling cities, and vibrant culture. Capturing the Culture: Tips for Photographing People When traveling, capturing the local culture is just as important as capturing the beautiful landscapes and architecture. People are a huge part of any culture, and photographing them can add depth and interest to your travel photos. Here are some tips for taking great photos of people in Vietnam. 1. Ask for Permission It's important to ask for permission before taking someone's photo. This shows respect and can also lead to a more natural and comfortable photo. Use basic phrases in Vietnamese like "xin lỗi" (excuse me) and "có được phép chụp ảnh không?" (may I take your photo?). 2. Capture Authentic Moments Avoid posing people and instead capture them in their natural environment. Look for candid moments, like a vendor cooking on the street or a group of children playing a game. This will create more interesting and authentic photos. 3. Use Natural Lighting Avoid using flash when taking photos of people. Instead, use natural lighting like early morning or late afternoon light. This will create a warm and natural look to your photos. 4. Focus on Details Zoom in on details like a person's hands or face to add more depth and emotion to your photos. This can also be a great way to capture traditional clothing or intricate patterns. 5. Be Respectful When taking photos of people, be mindful of their culture and traditions. Avoid taking photos of religious or sacred sites without permission, and be respectful of people's personal space and boundaries. By following these tips, you can capture the beauty and richness of Vietnamese culture through your photos. Discovering the Best Spots for Photography in Vietnam Vietnam is a photographer’s paradise, offering a wide variety of stunning landscapes, cityscapes, and cultural experiences. From the vibrant cities to the lush countryside, Vietnam has a variety of memorable locations that are sure to enhance your photography skills. Halong Bay Halong Bay's towering limestone cliffs, emerald-green water, and floating fishing villages make for a dramatic and unforgettable backdrop. Take a traditional junk boat tour and explore the unique rock formations and hidden caves, all of which create a picturesque natural setting for your photographs. Hoi An Ancient Town One of the most charming places in Vietnam, Hoi An Ancient Town boasts a stunning mix of traditional Vietnamese and French colonial architecture. The streets are lit up by colorful lanterns and the storefronts are painted with vibrant colors and textures, making it a perfect shooting location at any time of day. Sapa Sapa is a great place to capture the essence of Vietnam's hill tribes and highlands. Located in the northern part of the country, this region offers fascinating scenery with impressive rice terraces, rustic villages, and rich ethnic cultures. Creating Stunning Visual Stories through Composition Techniques Composition is the foundation of any great photograph. It’s the way elements are arranged within a frame that either captures viewers' attention or leaves them feeling confused. Composition techniques help you create visually appealing images that balance the elements of your photograph. Here are some essential composition techniques that will help you create stunning visual stories: Rule of thirds The rule of thirds is probably the most commonly used compositional technique. It involves imagining dividing the frame into a grid of three sections horizontally and vertically. The main elements of your photograph should be placed along the lines or at the points of intersection. This creates a balanced and harmonious image. Leading lines Leading lines are an excellent tool for creating depth and a sense of direction in your photograph. It involves using lines that lead the viewer’s eye towards the main subject of your image. This could be anything from a road, a bridge, or a row of trees. Use leading lines to create a sense of movement or to emphasize perspective in your photograph. Symmetry and patterns Symmetry and patterns can add an element of visual interest to your photograph. Look for symmetrical elements in your scene and place them at the center of your frame. Use patterns to add texture and repetition to your image. This can be anything from a tiled floor to a line of identical street lights. Foreground, middle ground, and background Creating foreground, middle ground, and background in your photograph can help add depth and dimension to your image. The foreground should be the closest to the viewer, while the background should be the furthest away. Use elements in each area to create a sense of scale and perspective. Mastering composition techniques takes time and patience but will significantly enhance your photographs and tell engaging visual stories. Remember, photography is an art form, so don’t be afraid to experiment with different composition techniques and create your unique visual style. Editing Your Photos: Tips and Tricks for Beautiful Results Editing your photos is just as important as capturing them. It can transform an average photograph into a stunning piece of art. Here are some tips and tricks to help you edit your photos and achieve beautiful results. 1. Adjust the Exposure Exposure is the amount of light that enters the camera. If your photo is too bright or too dark, adjust the exposure to make it look better. You can do this by using the brightness and contrast sliders in your editing software. 2. Enhance the Colors Vietnam is a country with vibrant colors. You can enhance the colors in your photos by increasing the saturation or vibrance. Be careful not to overdo it, as this can make your photos look unrealistic. 3. Crop Your Photo Cropping can help you remove unwanted details and focus on the subject of your photo. Make sure to crop your photo in a way that keeps the composition balanced and interesting. 4. Remove Unwanted Objects Use the clone stamp tool to remove any unwanted objects in your photo. This tool allows you to replace a selected area of your photo with another part of the photo. 5. Sharpen Your Photo Sharpening can help you bring out the details in your photo. Use the sharpness slider in your editing software to make your photo look crisper. 6. Use Presets If you're new to photo editing, using presets can be a good way to get started. Presets are pre-made settings that you can apply to your photos. They can give your photos a certain look or style. With these tips and tricks, you can edit your photos to achieve beautiful results. Remember to experiment and have fun with your editing. There are little things that make a couple work: affection, the time you spend together, seeing in the same direction, laughter, teasing eachother. For Tom, it was all of these things, but the most important: to be appreciated by those close to him.
The first time he noticed that you had his family's approval was at an "official" family meal. You had only been dating Tom for a few months, but his mother had insisted that you come. As a sort of test perhaps. You had arrived early in the morning, Tom enjoying a well-deserved break to be the most with his family. As Harry chatted with Tom about an idea for a script they could put together. After all, what you yourself would expect when there is no work, Tom is working. Nikki had set out to find a document Dom had lost in the living room papers, arguing over it saying now was not really the time. You loved that they acted so naturally with you. Paddy was in his room, after all he was still a 17-year-old teenager and it seemed logical to you not to force your presence on him all day. Sam had just returned from Scotland and was happy to cook a meal for his family, without the pressure of work, just for the sake of cooking; a return to the source in a way. You stood up, kissing Tom's cheek so as not to disturb him too much. He was anyway, too caught up in his discussion with his brother. You calmly walked over to the kitchen and approached Sam.
"What are you up to, boss?"
The Holland brothers with multiple freckles turned to you, his hazel eyes on you. He didn't expect to have company in the kitchen as he worked on the meal. When Tom told you that his parents invited you to the family dinner, you found it touching when he also told you that Sam asked if you were allergic to any food. You felt listened to and included in the family without even having met them. The young cook smiled at you, shrugging his shoulders.
"Not much. A simple Katsu curry."
And as he continued chopping his onion to put it in a bowl, you turned your head around a bit, before opening a drawer next to Sam and pulling out a knife and peeler. The next second, you reproduced the same research expressions, not without having rosy cheeks by your daring.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm looking for a cutting board"
"You don't have to ..."
"Shhh, just because you're the chef in this kitchen doesn't mean you have to do everything on your own."
"second cabinet to your left, top drawer".
Sam rolled his eyes and you took out the utensil. You washed your hands and silently began to peel the carrots, but Sam gave you a smile. Tom finally noticed your absence and his head instantly turned around the room looking for you when he heard your laughter coming from the kitchen. Her eyes rested on your figure, cooking with her brother. He narrowed his eyes slightly as he admired you interacting with Sam for a few minutes. During the meal, as Sam placed the plate in front of Tom, the young chef slipped into Tom's ear a little "I like her", which made the actor smile with all his teeth.
The second time he noticed that his family liked you, it was a normal day at home. You were snuggled up on the couch, scratching between Tess' two ears, lying next to you. A replay of an episode of Love Island was playing on television. You didn't live here, you just spent the day with Tom, who was in the bathroom. Harry walked past you on his way to the kitchen, growling a few curses. You turned your head towards him with an eyebrow raised, puzzled by his bad temper.
"What is it?"
"Something is wrong with my script"
Harry and you got along well already, you couldn't tell you were close friends, in your mind you were just his brother's girlfriend, so you didn't impose your presence in the redhead's life. However, there is something to push you a little harder to bond with him. You tilted your head as you watched him make tea. Slowly, you got up from the couch to go out onto the patio, glancing at the laptop screen. When Harry returned he frowned when he saw you hunched over his computer.
"What are you doing?"
"I think there is a lack of dynamism between these two dialogues. It does not go together. Maybe you should add some step-by-step to express the emotions of your female character. It would add some meaning and depth to it. this dialogue.
You pointed to the sentence you found problematic and Harry positioned himself next to you, plunging his nose in front of the screen as he reread his dialogue. His eyes widened slightly and a smile slit across his face.
"Yeah ... Yeah I think you're right. Thanks"
He gave you a light hug, a small hug of thanks. Tom meanwhile, had returned from the bathroom, his gaze fell on you and his younger brother, in each other's arms. He passed the bay window on the terrace, a confused look.
"What's going on?"
"Oh, I was just helping Harry with his script"
You smiled as you stepped away from the curl. You moved back to the living room and Tom frowned at his brother, still confused. Usually, other than him, no one helped Harry write. Harry, meanwhile, nodded at Tom, as well as a wink and a thumbs-up signifying his approval. Once again, Tom's smile radiated across his face.
And the last time Tom had his family's approval and saw you interacting with his loved ones was just now.
You were leaning with your elbows on the table, leaning over the phone that Paddy had handed you, who was right next to you, a little tense and impatient. You watched the clips of the series he had recently starred in. The whole Holland family is extremely talented. But he had wanted your opinion because, you were more outside the circle, more neutral than his family. Yet when the video ended, all you did was congratulate and cheer her on this time, causing amazement and a beaming smile on the younger Holland's face. Tom was in the kitchen with his mother, brewing tea - it's amazing how many tea an Englishman, and especially a member of the Holland family, can drink in a whole day, a lifetime - Nikki was smiling as she looked at you, she leaned over to her son's ear, keeping her good humor fixed on her face. She could see the spark of love in her son's eyes, the admiration he had for you and that only reassured her and warmed her already big and warm heart.
"We like her, you know? She's great."
"Yeah, I love her too, mom. With all my heart."
"Keep her safe, treat her well, she deserves it."
"I know mom. I think it's the right one."
And he was right. You were the one for him.

Did you know? You can buy wild rice direct from Native folks!
a-spoon-is-born
Wild rice isn’t actually rice-it’s a grass seed that grows naturally in lakes in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and it’s been an indigenous staple food for many, many centuries. Although some corporations have taken and grown “wild rice” in paddies, it is not the same thing- it is actually a hybrid seed that is not the same quality and often sold for a higher price anyways. Not only is the wild rice a sacred food, but is a form of Indigenous science that lets you know how healthy the water is (or isn’t), because water is life and affects the health of all people, plants, and animals that live with it. This has been belatedly acknowledged by very recent research from the University of Minnesota that the health of the wild rice can predict all health of lakes and streams. I buy my wild rice from the Red Lake Nation and the White Earth Nation. The cool thing about buying from the White Earth Nation is that they also have videos showing the traditional processes involved in harvesting and parching the rice, and they offer stuff like gift baskets, chokecherry preserves, maple candy, soup & pancake mix, and cookbooks which make great gifts! What I like about buying from the Red Lake Nation is there is a massive variety and quantity of different wild rice products at many different prices! They are aware that the broken grains are not as quality, but it doesn’t go to waste-you can buy the broken grains for “Soup Bits” ($3.49)which are an inexpensive way to add flavor & nutrition to soups and stews. They also offer “Quick Cook” wild rice ($5.69), which is prepared from a lighter roast/parch process that allows the grains to cook in a shorter amount of time and has a rich, traditional flavor. You can also buy syrups and jellies made from hand harvested hawthorn, chokecherry, and highbush cranberry there. BUT! If you’re worried about shipping costs or like me, are disabled/have limited mobility and can’t always get to the store like you might prefer,Red Lake Nation also sells their rice through Amazon, eligible for Prime shipping. This is also good for those, Native or not, who are struggling in the community and share their wishlists for help purchasing food.(Also please know this post is only meant to share information, not to make anyone feel bad or imply they’re eating “inferior” food.) If you’re interested in finding out what other nations cultivate and sell/trade wild rice, there’s a partial list here of where you can buy hand-harvested wild rice from native people in the Great Lakes region.

Thank you for your thoughts. I agree with you about EVERYTHING. Adam and Kim and the actors who portray them are just phenomenal, but it seems like they’re always working against the writers. I’ll say that for me PJF and MS are the most talented actors on the show and have the most chemistry, but they’re also the inexplicable underdogs. I want the writers to write Kim more human in terms of relationships. Mutual, healthy dependency is not weakness. She can still be badass in a relationship.
HONESTLY !!!!!
I agree; paddy and marina are the most talented actors on the show. You can see clearly that they're very comfortable in the skin of their characters, they act everything so brilliantly. And their chemistry,,,,, it's amazing. Like their acting is incredible and they kill every single performance even when you can tell that the actors were slightly surprised at the direction their character was going in. And their the reason burzek is still the best ship,, like because they have that natural chemistry and the fact that they know how their characters would stand/be around each other... (Like as me and @piscesgirl87 discussed, we believe that wink was all Paddy's idea).
But yeah, they're definitely the underdogs. They're constantly overlooked and just,,,, they don't get as much consideration. They never have.
AND YES!!! like already I have such a problem with the idea that people can't be badass if they're happy, if they depend on a partner. They can, it actually helps it bc then you have those moments you can just,,,, exist. And I hate hate hate that they don't show her as you put as human in relationship.
Like,,,, I get she's been through a lot. But I hate this constant closed off. Like-- I want her to have this aloofness to a lot of the others, that this trauma has kinda made her want to put that wall up. But that she just has this softness and this dependency on Adam, bc he's her person. I think especially if they have her get therapy because that's what therapy does for you!!!
And I think... I like that Kim's clearly been affected by her trauma, even over the years. But I hate that,,, they keep having her like this when she's an affectionate person at heart, she loves strongly. I mean I get it, she cares fiercely which means she wants to care but keep herself at a distant-- to be a Guardian angel of sorts. But it's also like,,,, her and Adam. They work.
And Kim's *always* been enthralled with how Adam talks to her, his flirting, his smiles, the way they're just in sync and are so similar. That was how she began to fancy him. That was how they got together, because he made the gesture to show up at her door. That's how the engagement didn't work because that's how she's reassured but she wasn't asking for that so he didn't know. That's how they nearly got back together in season four.
And Adam's done a lot of this stuff that would crumble at Kim's walls. Which is why they introduced Makayla because they would've got back together in 8x5. But now.... They can't just keep not getting them together. There's a reason they have such chemistry, a reason that their end scene in 7x4 was SO filled with chemistry and they didn't even kiss and there's a reason that the MOST chemistry filled moment in the premiere was Adam's wink.
Also I do very much believe that bc of their chemistry and how at ease it just is,,,, say if they stayed together or got back together in S4/5 and still were now.... Their relationship wouldn't be boring. It would still have that appeal, that the characters could have their individual drama without it needing to have a relationship scene (even if we'd want one!)
And I do believe that they could have a strong, undramatic communicating relationship. I believe they could've had that seasons ago. They could've had it in s7 and 8 as well. They can have it now-- they SHOULD have it now.
And I think.... Like. They're so underused. If they had them together, it just would work so much better.
Especially bc like,,,, fans do get annoyed by the constant relationships in the show. And Upstead, jay and hailey are Eid's faves... They're ALWAYS going to have interesting storylines. And it's like,,,, if they just appreciated Paddy's and marina's potential even if they don't use them more, they'd realise that a lot of the wider fans would be more interested in the complexed storylines Eid gives his faves. And that would mean a wider audience which means more money for the network.
(also would be if they kept burzek happy and also let paddy and marina be appreciated more 🤣 but I always like to try and add realism and realistically, Eid has faves. I can't change that even if they are boring)
#Reese's asks#chicago pd#burzek#cpd spoilers#kim burgess#adam ruzek#i feel like i rambled a lot but basically#i agree with you. they need to make kim more human in terms of relationships#whumpy tag#<- I'm assuming it's you. i operated under thst but now I'm just realising at no point did you sign whumpy as i went to tag

Hey 👋 just wanna talk about last night eps (warning: it's a long one)
Med: that scene where the cardiac surgeon headbutts Crockett, it just made me laugh so hard, it was so sudden and unexpected 😂
Fire: Kidd with her lieutenant jacket and her lieutenant shirt 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 that's all i ever wanted. I'm sad Brett is leaving (tho i saw it coming) and I'm really gonna miss Kara, for however long her break is. I hope we get some scenes with the team missing Sylvie cuz she didn't have a lot of screen time lately (just want them to show Kara some love, even if it's just a goodbye scene). Also, I'm simply bored of the OFI storyline, i didn't even cared about the case last night; they need to let it rest for a while
PD: i was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The way they showed Kim's feelings, how overwhelmed she was, with that camera work, the blurred vision, the muffled conversation of the team - amazing! -. Kev having Kim and Adam's back, so supportive and reassuring them they'll find Mak, that's the friendship we love and I'm glad they made sure to show it to us. Kim saying "where's my daughter?" with so much self-confidence, and Mak calling Kim "Mom" 😢😢. The moment Platt arrived to the building and went straight to Kim i almost cried cuz her first priority was to make sure she was okay. And the fact that Kim told Adam Mak was her daughter, how hurt Ruz looked, i just know that conversation isn't over.
To put it in a few words: loved PDs episode last night, it was exciting, full of adrenaline, so emotional!! And Marina and Paddy delivered really powerful performances 👏🏻👏🏻
Sorry for the long rant 🙈🙈 a lot happened last night 😆
Hi!!! I literally never get long asks ever so this is fun:
Med: I caught the last 20 ish minutes of Med and it was so worth seeing Crockett get head-butted because it was weirdly so funny. The guy thought he did something with that but overall it was just hilarious.
Fire: I didn't know how much I needed to see Stella Kidd with a Lieutenant Jacket until I did, and it was literally glorious. Our girl is running her own team now and it feels so right for her.
We saw how much being away from Casey is really affecting Brett even though she's put up a good front; it was naturally going to come crashing down at some point. I hope going to spend real quality time with him is what she needs because the woman looked so sad. I loved that Violet and Stella were so supportive and were there for her because that trio is so amazing. Women supporting women is something so important to me so I was really glad to see it.
I think the OFI case was fine, I don't really have any strong feelings on it either way other than I don't really mind it all that much?? Other than the fact that Seager just annoys me because they've taken her character which had real potential into just fawning over Kelly Severide every chance she gets. I want to like her, but the writers need to give her something new and different, enough of this already.
Also, Squad 3 trying to get a boot on Cap's bald ass head??? The comedic highlight of the season right there, and honestly one of my favorites ever. I have watched it no less than 15 more times and I die laughing without fail.
PD: Oh where do I start with this... That episode was a doozy, even though we kind of knew this I wasn't prepared to feel every emotion Kim and Adam were feeling for a solid hour. The crew really did a fantastic job on this one by making the camera work mimic the feelings they were going through and it 100% made us the viewers feel more connected. That Burgwater moment made me cry because those two have such a tight bond that it hurt so much. When Mak called her "Mom" I seriously had my mouth hanging open and I could not believe it. The look when Kim realizes what she just said???? Priceless.
I'm positive that Burzek is in some real trouble. The way that their relationship ebbed and flowed within one hour was kind of astounding. To being each other's rock, to screaming at each other in frustration and fear, and then sitting on Makayla's bed silently communicating everything they couldn't say out loud. By the end, you could see the guilt seeping out of Adam, and I think that's why he walks away. He lead with his heart instead of his head, it could have ended badly, and now he feels like he's not good enough for both of them. Kim and Adam have a lot of talking to get through this because there is no way this isn't going to be an uphill battle.

We're living in the 21st century and it's relatively apparent that nearly everyone in our surroundings must be knowledgeable or have at least heard about “ Global Warming”, “ Climate Change'' etc. Climate change or Global warming is a humongous problem which we can not neglect at any cost. Another term is there for Global warming or Climate change. It's called the “ Climate Crisis''. Climate extremity refers to the high magnitude of Global warming or Climate change and the disastrous goods they're or they can beget to humans, creatures as well as the earth Earth. Why does everyone talk so frequently about Climate extremity? Why can't we simply ignore it and move ahead and keep doing our diurnal routine work? As we all know, mortal nature is, until and unless commodity majorly affects us, we tend to ignore it. We do n’t pay attention until and unless a commodity starts affecting us oppressively and we can easily observe the changes being caused. We kept avoiding this global extremity until it started impacting us oppressively. So, where did we warrant? We demanded being “ Sustainable”! Sustainable means being suitable for the capability to use without being fully used up or exhausted. Also the question may arise how do we know if our conditioning is sustainable or not or how we're harming our surroundings which can be a major cause of Climate crisis? The simplest answer to this question is “ Observe your surroundings” and be “Apprehensive” of what's passing in our daily lives and what's the cause of it. For illustration, we know that icicles or glaciers are melting due to the nonstop rise in global temperature. This is causing a rise in the position of water bodies. Due to this, there are increased chances of cataracts which will impact the mortal population oppressively by breaking their homes, damaging the crops and other food grains which were to be vended in the requests and growers could have earned from them. Indeed, the oceanic ecosystem will also be affected oppressively with the rise in global temperature.
WHAT ARE THE REASONS OF GLOBAL CRISIS?
The main causes of the Climate Crisis are anthropogenic, that is they're convinced by mortal conditioning. Mortal conditioning led to the generation of “ Hothouse Feasts” which is the main cause of this global extremity. These conditioning impact the ecology oppressively and hang the actuality of life in multitudinous ways. Following are the reasons due to which Climate Crisis is passing
1. Deforestation : Deforestation is the process in which the timber belt is removed on a veritably large scale by cutting down multitudinous trees. Actually, trees and other green shops trap CO2 inside themselves and release the oxygen in the terrain. CO2 traps heat. However, also the global temperature will rise ultimately, If a large quantum of CO2 is present in the terrain.
2. Rapid Industrialization : Industrial revolution did rapid-fire elaboration but numerous other unanticipated impacts were seen. During this period, the population was also increasing worldwide. This led to increase in the jobs and numerous new diligence were also being set up. As heavy machines were also installed, operation of coal also increased which caused Air and Water pollution. This led to environmental declination which is the root cause of the Climate Crisis. An illustration for this mortal destruction is, early 19th century metropolises in Britain used every scrap of land to the fullest. Developers erected structures on the lowest possible lots to pack as numerous people as possible into a given space.
3. Agricultural Practises : The Global Food System is responsible for emitting nearly 21-35 0f Hothouse feasts. Multiple adulterants like CO2, CH4 and No2 are emitted which increase the global temperature. Beasts, especially ruminants similar to cattle, produce CH4 as part of the digestive process. Rice paddies also produce methane. This happens when constant flooding of fields happens and due to this, anaerobic conditions are created which leads to the production of methane.
4. Non-renewable energy use : Non-renewable energy coffers similar to fossil energies make a huge impact on global heads by adding the face temperature of the globe. When fossil energies are burned, a large quantum of CO2 is released into the terrain. So, how big is the impact of burning fossil energies? The average global temperature has formerly increased further 1 °C. Warming above1.5 °C pitfalls, further rise in ocean position, biodiversity loss, extreme rainfall and species extermination.
5. Consumer Practice : Consumption is an important aspect of mortal life. The practice of consumption is n’t wrong but “over-consuming” anything will put a strain on the health of our terrain. The further coffers we use, the further hothouse feasts will be produced. Anything which we consume, goes through the process of marketing, packaging, etc. To save our terrain from global extremity, we need to be more sensible. We should switch to sustainable consumption of goods. In this way, we won't be harming our terrain and our asked requirements will be fulfilled. We can buy durable products, we can cut gratuitous effects and can buy only those effects which are needed. We can buy locally so that we can save energy as well as it'll also reduce the air pollution. We should conclude for recyclable products so that the terrain can remain safe. We can avoid inordinate packaging or with minimum packaging so that the stress on the terrain can be reduced.
5. Pollution : Pollution is the preface of dangerous rudiments into the terrain. The terrain gets defiled by multitudinous adulterants released due to anthropogenic conditioning. Adulterants can be synthetic substances, or energy for illustration noise, heat or light. There are colourful types of environmental pollution Air pollution, Water pollution, Radioactive pollution, Noise pollution, Soil pollution etc.
STEPS TAKEN BY INDIAN GOVERNMENT TO COUNTER CLIMATE CRISIS
Climate crisis is a challenge for every country. India is also tackling and making required changes and introducing policies to safeguard the environment and controlling the climate crisis. The major initiatives taken by the government are:
PLANS AND POLICIES:
1. National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC), 2008:
National Solar Mission to increase the development of solar technologies such as increasing production of photo-voltaic to 1000 MW/year
National Mission for Enhanced Energy Efficiency: lower taxes on energy-efficient appliances.
National Mission on Sustainable Habitat for better waste management.
National Water Mission
National Mission for “Green India”.
National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture.
2. Environmental Impact Assessment
Management tool to regulate the impact of Industries on the environment for ensuring optimal use of natural resources for sustainable development.
Applicable for major projects like Infrastructure, thermal and nuclear power, industries, mining etc.
Industrial categorization into Red, Orange, Green and White according to their impact to maintain balance between regulation and ease of doing business. White industries do not require EIA approval.
3. Other Laws made by the Government
Environment Protection Act, 1986
