i think the last 5 days of my life have been a hallucination

#1. brother hospitalized with no discharge date in sight #2. wiplash of international travel -> dogsitting -> hosting guests at my house #3. at work i’ve got people pushing promotions and all these job opportunities at me #4. got a call from the lady i dogsat for apparently the amazon driver ran over my work phone that i dropped in her driveway yesterday???????#(meaning it sat outside during the rain all last night?? and it still works LMFAO)#5. best friend called in tears bc she made a mistake and is now getting run out of her rec volleyball league for it which is her whole #community #6. speaking of community fighting my ass off to keep my neighborhood elementary school from being voted to close down tomorrow?????#7. speaking of schools one of my students had a med emergency and we had to get her in an ambulance last thursday and i had to #manage the rest of the kids to keep them from freaking out and they’re still all freaked from it #LITERALLY CAN WE ALL JUST LIKE CHILL #i need to clean my house before my friend comes to stay with me tomorrow wtf #oh and 2 days after she leaves i fly home for thanksgiving 🙃 god knows what that’ll be like

Yay I finally managed to make my 2023 art summary! First half of the year was a little disappointing looking back (in terms of both amount and quality). I think I managed to make more personal work this year, thankfully, which is what I wanted last year

#i think i had more examples to use this year compared which is good #esp the latter half of the year #in terms of improvement? i am starting to draw backgrounds..#i dont even think i have a 2022 art summary good lord (i think its bc i did mainly comms and barely any personal art...)#i also started making my own merch which is a step forward! ive been meaning to make them since 2021 #itll arrive either tomorrow or thursday. ill share them when i get them #this year has also been less consistent in terms of art style. i wont say if thats good or bad #i had a bit of an art crisis in the middle of the year and then i had reached enlightenment in november #which is that i will stop gaf abt the amt of other people liking my art #i want to be those niche artists who stick to their own lane and post their 50 million merchs of their fav ship. that will be me!!!!!!#im having a junmui plush manu'd in jan so im excited #i also plan on making photo holders and standees and etc etc later on #art summary #munch art

so fucking busy the rest of the year. being alive is awesome :]

#i have 4 classes this semester and 2 of them r music relateddd i love my major #my financial aid package FINALLY PROCESSED after like 7 months lol #so i just have to figure out disbursement #i have surgery in october to have a hysterectomy and oophorectomy #and then i am gonna be out of work for 4 weeks (but still doing classes lol...)#and i have 2 more cohorts to facilitate #and a training video and some projects to pull together #and a brainstorm session tomorrow #and im going to a baseball game for work on thursday!!!!! exciting!!!!!!!!!!#and if my finaid is as much as theyre saying it will be my rent for the rest of the year is paid #which would mean all my paychecks can go directly to #medical costs and other bills n savings #which puts me so fucking closer to moving out next year #if i play my cards right i can pay all my debts between now and march/april of next yesr #and then i will be able to fucking!!!!!!! move!!!!!!!#wait guys im emotional i had a shitty medical procedure i had to endure as part of pre op a d #literally in the last hour im back to feeling so fucking energized #ohhh my gd i love being alive please please please lef this work out #im gonna stART PLANNING W MY FRIENDS FOR A SPRING TRRIP NEXT YEAR?#AAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! maybe even planning another trip w 19 bc i saw a cool cabin to stay in LMAO #just. yells. oh my gd #please please let this work out even 50% of the way of what it looks like it could be

96 words written today. It is a very stressful time of the semester and I have Stuff going on which makes it more stressful, and also my university is...doing things. (Not fun when you have to start conversations or e-mails with "you may have seen my university in the news lately" because it's never for anything good.)

#get to go back to campus tomorrow for the first time since thursday #apparently the atmosphere on campus is VERY tense right now and most of the buildings are on pandemic-level lockdown (direct quote)#(which means you have to have your id card so you can swipe in but apparently doesn't consistently work for undergrads #bad for reasons that include 'we are still having classes and finals start this week' though I know people who've canceled both)#we've been getting increasing 'oh god I fucked up so bad and it's all over the news' e-mails from my spineless university president #daily fic snippet
