Is there a direct translation of the story written in Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge's Japanese instructional manual? (Not talking about the North American instruction manual's writing of the story)

Apparently not. Let me fix that.

Count Dracula was alive...

After a fierce battle with Christopher, he had escaped from the collapsing castle and narrowly avoided death.

However, having exhausted his powers, his body had turned to mist, and he was no longer able to transform into a human.

The Count decided to wait for the time to regain his physical form and take revenge on the Belmont family...

One day, 15 years later, in a village in Transylvania, the coming-of-age ceremony for Christopher's son, Soleil, was held.

He had officially inherited the title of Vampire Hunter, and with the power of two vampire hunters, father and son, it was thought that the peace of Transylvania would last forever...

However, the next day, Soleil disappeared from the village like mist. And that night, four castles appeared, casting a magical shadow with a thunderous roar.

Yes, the Count had been waiting for this moment.

Now that Soleil has grown up and acquired holy powers, Dracula plans to use the last of his magical powers to turn him into the Dark Lord, and use that power to regain his lost body.

Christopher is horrified to find out that his son is being controlled. He must do whatever it takes to rescue his son and crush the Count's ambitions.

And so, a new battle is about to begin.

my lover and i dance to old music in a tiny kitchen. we judge new music together and take food critique very seriously. we watch love is blind before we fall asleep and agree that if they had a queer season, it would be bloody but also make for excellent tv. of fucking course queer people would know someone for only 2 weeks and agree to get married. what are you saying.

at a bar with friends, a man puts his hand on my wrist. got a boyfriend? and yes, i do have a boyfriend, she's amazing. i am texting her while i wander around a gas station named after geese. i am visiting a swing state for a wedding. in the candy aisle i overhear: she's actually like a lesbian it's disgusting. two teenage girls with packaged sandwiches in their hands, giggling. no literally, like. i'm not, like. okay with her being there while we're all, like, naked and changing.

my girlfriend and i tailgate, drink gin and cider out of cups. from the frat group beside us, a man corrects himself with one of his friends: bro, i mean, nonbinary entity, and it makes everyone around him laugh, myself included. he razzes his friend the same way i would have killed for at 19 years old - like nothing happened, he continues: you apply sunscreen like an alien. he does a little sassy (and fairly accurate) dance interpretation of the motion. his friend is laughing so hard they're crying.

i am lucky, i live in a safe neighborhood in a safe state. my masc passenger princess comes up from DC. i drive her for an hour to where all the leaves are a violent arrangement of color. we walk along the trails, letting autumn into our blood. in this part of the state, there's a lot of pickup trucks and trump signs. when we chastely kiss before getting into the car, i accidentally make eye contact with a woman holding her child's wrist. she looks disgusted. she looks fucking pissed.

two hours later my girl and i are eating dinner on a patio, soaking in the last warmth of new england sun before the chill of winter sets in. we are giggling and trying to talk through plastic vampire teeth. at another table, i see a young woman sit up straighter. i watch her watch us. she blushes and takes her partner's hand from across the table. shy, like the taste of evening has just become something deeper.

it's worth it for this moment, i think. my lover is still humming the same song she's been singing for four days straight and i don't want to kill her for it. her guitar is beside my bed. her toothbrush is in my bathroom. in a few moments i will make us lunch. we are lucky enough to have found each other. it is lucky enough to be in love.

some of the lore I have for the AU I crafted myself, otherwise I read a lot of old faerie tales growing up and my mom, for some reason, knows an awful lot about shit like that, so some of it is just innate from her. otherwise i just read a lotttttt of books around the concepts of these things when I was younger because I was fascinated with jim henson's worlds

so we know that gale's a night owl based on the epilogue dialogue of one of his endings, right? well for your health and mine, you absolutely should not, under no circumstances, imagine a groggy gale waking up in the mid-morning with his hair tumbling over his face, his eyes hazy and unfocused, and the deep, deep resonance of his morning voice rumbling next to you. dont imagine the look of utter hatred directed to the sun, and birds, and being awake, transform into a soft smile when he remembers that youre next to him. and certainly dont imagine his petulant protestations if you try to get out of bed before he's ready (he's never ready.) need to pee? tough. somewhere you've got to be? despite his lack of strength, he has a death grip on you. and when you tell him off for keeping you there, but you make no effort to move, you can feel his happy, sleepy smile where hes buried his face into your neck.

regarding the shot of homura (or at least a homura, we have established that there is more than one of those in this movie) with the pocket mirror in the new trailer

the writing is "dumme venus". dumme is a german word meaning "fool" or "sucker", while "venus" obviously refers to venus, the goddess of love and beauty. i just thought that was interesting, given that homura's whole thing post-rebellion is that she became who she is now because of love (as supported by wraith arc, rebellion, and her image song mebius ash)
